- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, head of World Cup. Mm hmm to chasinnew Land
- 0:21Speaker 1: dot com. My name's Chasing new Land and this is
- 0:32Speaker 1: Sleep with Jason number one, number one sun in bed,
- 0:47Speaker 1: lying down. I'm not hovering above it. Am I going
- 0:51Speaker 1: to be lying down? I suppose it could be sitting up.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Vene's also on the bed with me, but he's very
- 1:06Speaker 1: I think he's a little bit a little bit confused
- 1:13Speaker 1: because I've never done a recording with him before on
- 1:24Speaker 1: the bed and I've got my microphone on a big
- 1:31Speaker 1: like microphone microphone arm, and it's spread all the way
- 1:38Speaker 1: across the bed to where I'm land. And I think
- 1:44Speaker 1: he's a little bit a little bit nonplussed because I
- 1:54Speaker 1: don't I don't think he feels he can go and
- 2:00Speaker 1: down on his pillow that's next to mine, because he
- 2:06Speaker 1: has to walk underneath the microphone arm. But you sit
- 2:17Speaker 1: next to me, given himself a little bed bath. So
- 2:28Speaker 1: this is to be fair, This isn't the first time
- 2:35Speaker 1: that I've done a Sleep with Jason recording. I used
- 2:43Speaker 1: to do these years ago, years and years ago, but
- 2:56Speaker 1: I haven't done one for a long time. And just
- 3:03Speaker 1: yesterday I had the idea that maybe I could start
- 3:12Speaker 1: to do them again, because when I'm laying down on
- 3:25Speaker 1: my bed, there's a different sense I've got. I just
- 3:34Speaker 1: feel different than how I would do if I was
- 3:37Speaker 1: sitting at my desk, sitting upright. I think Vinnie is
- 3:53Speaker 1: determined not to sit still and to make as much
- 3:58Speaker 1: fidgety sound as possible. He should calm down. Hopefully he
- 4:08Speaker 1: should calm down soon. I don't know. I really don't know.
- 4:20Speaker 1: He's watching his bum like some like a magic trick's
- 4:24Speaker 1: going to occur, a magic Bunny's going to pop out
- 4:28Speaker 1: or something. I don't know. It's kind of nice to
- 4:36Speaker 1: be able to just slide down and close my eyes.
- 4:41Speaker 1: But also just I guess waffle on a bit, just
- 4:49Speaker 1: talk with some more whispering. Really, isn't it bad? I
- 4:57Speaker 1: don't think I was in bed and I was shouting
- 5:01Speaker 1: and how to really work so well. I did a
- 5:10Speaker 1: recording yesterday let me pull you to sleep recording while
- 5:16Speaker 1: I was watching the boxing and it lasted I think
- 5:25Speaker 1: two hours and twenty minutes or something like that. Took
- 5:32Speaker 1: me ages to edit, so I hope this doesn't do
- 5:40Speaker 1: the same. I'm quicker at editing than I used to be,
- 5:49Speaker 1: but still i'd rather not do editing as much as possible. Now,
- 6:03Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't think I've said it, so
- 6:07Speaker 1: please I need listen when you can safely close your eyes. Yeah,
- 6:25Speaker 1: Finny is still sitting up. He's being quiet, and he's
- 6:32Speaker 1: sitting still. Maybe he's meditating, just thinking through, you know,
- 6:42Speaker 1: life's decisions. How maybe you would have done things different
- 6:49Speaker 1: if he had these three years over again. Bless him.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I saw a dog to day in the park. It's
- 7:00Speaker 1: a similar kind of doctor him fifteen years old, and
- 7:07Speaker 1: he's an old man now. And I just started to think,
- 7:15Speaker 1: fifteen years, that's another twelve years of Vinny, how old
- 7:23Speaker 1: will I be in twelve years time. I realized that
- 7:30Speaker 1: I'll be nearly sixty seven years old in twelve years.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Nearly sixty seven.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I mean, wow, sixty seven, so nearly fifty five. Now
- 8:02Speaker 2: we're both going to be getting old at the same time.
- 8:10Speaker 2: We'll both be walking around the park, probably using walking
- 8:16Speaker 2: sticks or something, or maybe we take turns pushing each
- 8:21Speaker 2: other around in wheelchairs.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if they make wheelchairs
- 8:33Speaker 1: in his size. I do see people pushing their little
- 8:39Speaker 1: docks around in little prams sometimes Finny loves prams, he
- 8:51Speaker 1: really does. I should we just left him in the
- 9:01Speaker 1: other room because he's been so fidgety. Then he calmed down,
- 9:13Speaker 1: calm down, bliss. The thing is, I did a little
- 9:23Speaker 1: test run on this, you know, laid down, recorded a
- 9:29Speaker 1: couple of minutes, just to see if the record didn't
- 9:35Speaker 1: worked and all that. You know. At that point, Vinnie
- 9:40Speaker 1: was at the bottom of the bed comfortably getting ready
- 9:43Speaker 1: to go to sleep, and then I sat up to
- 9:49Speaker 1: just listen to the recording to make sure the recorded properly.
- 9:58Speaker 1: And then he started barking. But I didn't want to
- 10:08Speaker 1: just I needed to test it first before spending the
- 10:20Speaker 1: next half an hour hour whatever talking into the microphone
- 10:31Speaker 1: and for there not to be any sound. I wish
- 10:38Speaker 1: he'd just lay down. Maybe he will in a minute.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I guess the more often I do these lying in
- 10:56Speaker 1: bed recordings, the more relaxed he will be, and it
- 11:09Speaker 1: just gets used to it. But at the moment he's
- 11:14Speaker 1: shaking the whole bed with his fidgetiness. I'm lying on
- 11:23Speaker 1: the right side. I dearly. I would be in each
- 11:34Speaker 1: side of the bed, which is closer to the microphone,
- 11:39Speaker 1: but that's his side, and that's his pillow, so I've
- 11:45Speaker 1: had to stretch the microphone all the way over. Realistically,
- 11:51Speaker 1: it probably worked better if I moved closer to that
- 12:00Speaker 1: side of the bed, and then then he can be
- 12:02Speaker 1: the other side. But this is my side. I don't
- 12:07Speaker 1: want him on my side, and he doesn't. He doesn't
- 12:11Speaker 1: want me on his side. We have raws, we have boundaries.
- 12:18Speaker 1: He's got his side of the bed. I've got my
- 12:20Speaker 1: side of the bed, and we definitely do not mess
- 12:25Speaker 1: with each other's pillows. He's got his pillow which he
- 12:30Speaker 1: sometimes sleeps on and licks for some reason and scratches,
- 12:44Speaker 1: and I've got my pillow. And there's an invisible line
- 12:56Speaker 1: saying that there is the occasional when I walk into
- 12:59Speaker 1: the druhim and he's a cross that line. I saw
- 13:06Speaker 1: him sitting on my pillow once we fell out, Yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 1: we did. It fell out for a few hours over
- 13:15Speaker 1: that he does not sit on I mean, come on,
- 13:22Speaker 1: where my face goes, where my my head goes, and
- 13:25Speaker 1: the one I'm sitting on my pillow. I said that
- 13:32Speaker 1: to him and he said, well, I don't want my
- 13:33Speaker 1: bomb being anyway where your face is being, which is
- 13:37Speaker 1: very rude, very rude. H I can hear some background sounds,
- 13:57Speaker 1: and there's a plane past. I can hear downstairs slightly,
- 14:11Speaker 1: and of course I can hear Finny be in a
- 14:15Speaker 1: fidgety bomb. He's so quiet most of the time, really,
- 14:31Speaker 1: apart from when he isn't. I imagine he just gets
- 14:42Speaker 1: a bit bored, a bit bored just hanging around with me.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I don't imagine on the most exciting person to spend
- 14:59Speaker 1: time with. That's a little doggie. That's why he loves
- 15:12Speaker 1: going out. He's a real human person. He adores people.
- 15:23Speaker 1: I don't get it, really, I don't understand. But every
- 15:28Speaker 1: single person he sees he wants to go over and
- 15:33Speaker 1: say hello, like everybody pretty much. There's the occasional person
- 15:45Speaker 1: who he doesn't want to say loo too, but that's rare.
- 15:52Speaker 1: There's a bit of sound music coming from downstairs. H
- 16:02Speaker 1: But I don't know how much this microphone picks up,
- 16:14Speaker 1: or rather I've forgotten because I haven't used it for
- 16:17Speaker 1: a long time, and I don't think I've ever used
- 16:24Speaker 1: it here in my bed, although technically the microphone isn't
- 16:31Speaker 1: in my bed, it's not like it's not underneath. To
- 16:36Speaker 1: do they because it'd be weird, weird or weird, weird
- 16:57Speaker 1: and do what I like to do. I'd just like
- 17:02Speaker 1: to rest. It's not about going to sleep. It's not
- 17:16Speaker 1: about falling asleep or becoming more dozier tired. For me,
- 17:31Speaker 1: it's just more about enjoying the relaxation and noticing that
- 17:51Speaker 1: sense of comfort as my body sinks into the bed.
- 18:05Speaker 1: And I really do enjoy having my eyes closed. And
- 18:15Speaker 1: when I say that, it's not my hobby, you know,
- 18:22Speaker 1: closing my eyes isn't my special interest. I wouldn't try
- 18:29Speaker 1: and start a new club online or in my local
- 18:33Speaker 1: area for people that love closing their eyes if that'd
- 18:41Speaker 1: be weird, But to enjoy it do I suppose in
- 18:55Speaker 1: a way it would be quite nice, just kay, were
- 19:02Speaker 1: had the phones as well, maybe to block out all
- 19:12Speaker 1: sound that In a way, I quite like he's now
- 19:25Speaker 1: lying down. I won't say his name in case he
- 19:30Speaker 1: thinks he might look up, thinking what are you talking about?
- 19:36Speaker 1: You're talking about me again, rude? So I think i'd
- 19:50Speaker 1: be okay, now you just chill out for another half
- 19:54Speaker 1: an hour or an hour? Hm, hm, you know, in
- 20:06Speaker 1: a way, quite like background sounds, okay, a rephraser, not
- 20:28Speaker 1: all sounds, you know, I'm not. I don't really want
- 20:35Speaker 1: very loud drilling or music, you know, power tools or bass,
- 20:47Speaker 1: but just fade sounds from the distance or in the distance,
- 20:58Speaker 1: like that playing coming part Us. Now. You may not
- 21:04Speaker 1: be able to hear it. It's kind of quite peaceful.
- 21:18Speaker 1: I might not be saying that if I lived near
- 21:20Speaker 1: an airport. I can hear the wind as well. It's
- 21:37Speaker 1: been quite windy the last few days. But today, well,
- 21:46Speaker 1: when I went out anyway, it wasn't raining. It was
- 21:49Speaker 1: raining pretty much all day yesterday. Just a light rain,
- 22:00Speaker 1: but it was heavy enough to think to myself, Oh
- 22:06Speaker 1: it's raining. It was noticeable, That's what I mean. But
- 22:14Speaker 1: today it's a bit windy. But it seemed relatively bright
- 22:24Speaker 1: today compared to yesterday, which is nice. It's tune, so
- 22:37Speaker 1: I think a nice bright day seemed like something that
- 22:43Speaker 1: would be yeah, acceptable, maybe even expected. So I watched
- 22:57Speaker 1: the boxing last night, and I did talk through the
- 23:04Speaker 1: first the first couple of fights, and then the last two.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I watched the speaker up because I wanted to. I
- 23:15Speaker 1: wanted to watch them. There's another fight on another Big
- 23:24Speaker 1: World titled Fight on as we speak on the Zone.
- 23:32Speaker 1: It's in Australia, but because it's on the zone. I'm
- 23:38Speaker 1: just going to watch it on replay. I watch it
- 23:41Speaker 1: back later rather than sit through the whole thing waiting
- 23:47Speaker 1: for the fight to come on. So I'll watch it. It's
- 23:51Speaker 1: probably probably nearly finished now because it started at ten
- 23:58Speaker 1: o'clock in the morning UK time. How about this for
- 24:06Speaker 1: Irony downstairs and started drilling just as I said, it
- 24:16Speaker 1: doesn't matter. I don't care about background sounds. Start drilling.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Oh well, see, I don't know how much that sound
- 24:36Speaker 1: is picked up from this microphone. I don't know. The
- 24:44Speaker 1: problem is when there's drilling, that makes Vinnie bark, so
- 24:54Speaker 1: it just makes more noise. Oh well, I'll just continue talking. Yeah,
- 25:20Speaker 1: just continue, We see how it goes. She'll be fine.
- 25:34Speaker 1: It feels quite nice just to rest my head. There's
- 25:43Speaker 1: not a lot going on inside my mind, I mean generally,
- 25:48Speaker 1: but you know, right now, I don't really know what
- 26:00Speaker 1: I'm going to say next. In some ways, I kind
- 26:09Speaker 1: of I don't have anything to say. I'm just enjoying
- 26:21Speaker 1: lying here, just enjoying feeding, have my body being supported,
- 26:39Speaker 1: knowing that I don't have to do anything or think
- 26:48Speaker 1: about anything, and my breathing is cut deeper naturally, that
- 27:13Speaker 1: tends to happen as I relax. It's almost like my
- 27:28Speaker 1: lungs open up, a muscles fell loose. M hm. My
- 28:02Speaker 1: eyes feel very relaxed. My stomach feels loose. My mouth
- 28:57Speaker 1: feels like it's just I'm winding. I'm focusing my back
- 29:18Speaker 1: on the back of my neck. I'm not trying to
- 29:31Speaker 1: cause the back of my neck to relax deeply. It's
- 29:39Speaker 1: just is relaxing. As that feeling spreads down my back.
- 29:59Speaker 1: M hm, it feels nice. That's my back of her axes.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Let's go all the way down, all the way down.
- 30:30Speaker 1: My lower back feels so comfortable. In fact, my whole
- 30:47Speaker 1: body feels loose. I'm noticing my minds beginning to wander
- 31:15Speaker 1: a bit. I don't normally really focus so much on
- 31:40Speaker 1: my body when I'm in bed. It definitely increases my comfort.
- 32:13Speaker 1: I can feel my forehead. It's almost love. My forehead
- 32:23Speaker 1: and my eyes connected, as if my eyes assimpting relaxing
- 32:38Speaker 1: signals to my forehead like come and join me, feel
- 32:48Speaker 1: peacefully and calm join me. Ye. Air feels cool and fresh,
- 33:06Speaker 1: and my lungs and on my skin, I'm glad to
- 33:31Speaker 1: see my shoulders now relaxing more, and my arms all
- 33:54Speaker 1: the way down to my wrists, feet and heavy and comfortable,
- 34:12Speaker 1: my hands, back of my hands, my palms and my fingers,
- 34:35Speaker 1: almost as if my hands are sensing a signal of
- 34:39Speaker 1: pleasure into my brain and into my head. It's a
- 34:49Speaker 1: nice feeling in my head, almost like it's in the
- 34:57Speaker 1: crowd of my head. I was one of my friends
- 35:03Speaker 1: liked to call it my board patch things. I know.
- 35:25Speaker 1: My my neighbor's daughter said to me, why don't you
- 35:30Speaker 1: just get to mark a pen and just color it in? Rude?
- 36:04Speaker 1: It feels as if the remaining tensions they are starting
- 36:11Speaker 1: to just drip out of my temples, from my braid,
- 36:19Speaker 1: from my skull, almost like sweat. Wait a minute, is sweat?
- 36:31Speaker 1: I'm joking. It's not me. I need to wash me
- 36:44Speaker 1: balls later to say stuff like that. Sorry, it just
- 36:54Speaker 1: tickles me. I'm just too cattle shoes a flannel instead
- 37:06Speaker 1: of feathers, and it wouldn't tickle so much. Me, Me, Me, me,
- 37:58Speaker 1: just focusing on the left, fix my faith. I feel
- 38:07Speaker 1: very relaxed. I'm just sitting them my ears. I feeling
- 39:14Speaker 1: very calm. My mind is peaceful, my present feels lighter,
- 40:52Speaker 1: as does my head that may be due to the stress.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Release so from your body, from your mind, Allow yourself
- 41:34Speaker 1: to drift peacefully, slowly, relaxed, continue and to enjoy. Feed
- 42:16Speaker 1: so peaceful, so is, and so free.
