  - I'm your host, Belle Wilcher,

  - and I'd like to welcome you to today's

  - daily prayer talking about financial stress and trusting

  - in God's provision.

  - Scriptural text comes from Matthew six thirty one

  - through 33

  - and says, do not worry. Your heavenly father
• 2:52
  - knows that you need them.
• 2:55
  - One of the prayers that I often teach
• 2:58
  - people is the Lord's prayer that talks about
• 3:01
  - how God takes care of our
• 3:04
  - daily bread, whatever those daily needs are.
• 3:08
  - I often explain to people
• 3:11
  - that
• 3:12
  - God does not have moments,
• 3:14
  - but knows every single thing that we need
• 3:16
  - before we ask.
• 3:18
  - So the question would be, well, if he
• 3:20
  - knows that,
• 3:22
  - why do we need to say him?
• 3:25
  - Well, I'm glad you asked.

  - It is an issue of trust.
• 3:29
  - God's always trying to get us to trust
• 3:31
  - in him like a child would trust the
• 3:34
  - father.

  - Now keep in mind, in case you did

  - not have the best relationship with your natural

  - parents,
• 3:42
  - God is not like our natural parents.

  - He's better.
• 3:46
  - And because
• 3:47
  - he's the perfect parent,

  - he will always provide our needs

  - and is waiting for the opportunity to connect

  - with you

  - regarding them.

  - Financial pressures affect more than our bank accounts.

  - In fact, it

  - sometimes can encompass
• 4:06
  - mind, body, and soul because it steals our
• 4:09
  - sleep. It increases stress.

  - It creates tension in relationships and leaves us
• 4:14
  - wondering how everything will work
• 4:18
  - out.
• 4:19
  - And while God doesn't promise a life without
• 4:21
  - challenges,
• 4:23
  - he does promise his presence and faithful provision.

  - So if you are in a place in
• 4:30
  - your life today
• 4:31
  - where you're not sure

  - where your next piece of bread is going
• 4:35
  - to come from,
• 4:36
  - take heart.
• 4:38
  - A father says that he is more than
• 4:41
  - enough.
• 4:42
  - He is the living brain. Right? Because he
• 4:45
  - gives us the word, and the word feeds
• 4:47
  - us spiritually.
• 4:48
  - And because he's our perfect
• 4:50
  - father, he gives us our natural bread.
• 4:53
  - So
• 4:53
  - take heart and know
• 4:55
  - that not only does he stand by his
• 4:57
  - word to perform it, but he looks forward

  - to the connection.

  - That being said,

  - let's pray.

  - Abba father,
• 5:09
  - you know every financial concern weighing on our
• 5:12
  - hearts.
• 5:13
  - Thank you that nothing surprises you, and nothing
• 5:17
  - is beyond your ability to provide.
• 5:21
  - And help us to know and understand, God,
• 5:24
  - that we can be a participant
• 5:26
  - in answering our prayer.
• 5:29
  - We just need guidance in knowing how to
• 5:32
  - do so.
• 5:33
  - Help us replace worry with trust
• 5:36
  - and fear with faith.
• 5:38
  - Give us wisdom to steward what you've entrusted
• 5:42
  - to us and peace while we wait for
• 5:45
  - your provision.
• 5:47
  - Remind us daily
• 5:50
  - that you
• 5:51
  - are our source,
• 5:54
  - and your faithfulness
• 5:55
  - never fails.

  - And we will bless you in Jesus' name.
