- 1:34yearned for my lover. I yearned for him, but he did
- 1:37not come. So I said to myself, I will get
- 1:41up and roam the city, searching in all its streets and squares.
- 1:46I will search for the one I love.
- 1:49So I searched everywhere but did not find him.
- 1:53The Watchmen stopped me as they made their rounds, and I asked,
- 1:56Have you seen the one I love then?
- 1:59Scarcely had I left them when I found my love.
- 2:02I caught and held him tightly. Then I brought him to my
- 2:06mother's house, into my mother's bed, where I had been conceived.
- 2:11Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the gazelles and
- 2:14wild deer, not to awaken love until the time is right.
- 2:20Who is this sweeping in from the wilderness like a cloud of
- 2:23smoke? Who is it fragrant with myrrh
- 2:26and frankincense and every kind of spice?
- 2:30Look, it is Solomon's carriage, surrounded by 60 heroic men, the
- 2:35best of Israel's soldiers. They are all skilled swordsmen,
- 2:40experienced warriors. Each weighs a sword on his
- 2:44thigh, ready to defend the king against an attack in the night.
- 2:49King Solomon's carriage is built of wood imported from Lebanon.
- 2:53Its posts are silver, its canopy gold.
- 2:56Its cushions are purple. It was decorated with love by

- 4:05And we do thank you for your love.
- 4:07We seldom feel deserving of it, but You love us anyway.
- 4:14So in your love, we pray this in that precious saving name of
