- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Oh, hey there.
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: I'm Carly, Human Design Medium, and your guide for this podcast.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: This is Human Design IRL, where we talk to my favorite women in the world about how their human design shows up in their real lives.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: So you have actual examples as you're learning about how your design might show up in yours.
- 0:19SPEAKER_03: Here's a clip from today's episode.
- 0:22SPEAKER_03: The satisfaction of finding relief with someone else for someone else, sometimes it feels like, is what is sort of the carrot that keeps me coming back.
- 0:37SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 0:37SPEAKER_03: And I don't know if that tracks with what you're talking about.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: I mean you wouldn't believe Amy.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: So Amy, I just I walked Amy through.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Amy's not heard of really human design before.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: So I walked her through, I gave her a little basics, but I did not tell her, for people who are listening, what the signature theme of generators are.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: And literally, you know, if it's like warmer, warmer, colder, colder, yeah, your for alignment, yours is satisfaction.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Ah.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: So that is what ultimately it's like literally said the exact word.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: You like walk, it feels like I planted you, honestly.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: Before we start the episode, I want to remind you that we talk about specific channels, gates, incarnation crosses, all the stuff in every episode.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: So if you want to grab your chart, now is the time, or head to my website, humandesignmedium.com backslash design.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: There's a free calculator on there.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: You're welcome to use.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: All right, here we go.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: Hi, I'm Carly Arbuckle, Human Design Medium, and this is the Human Design IRL Podcast.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: Welcome back.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: Today I am joined with another one of my nearest and dearest and most cherished humans, Amy Hounstein, Dr.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: Amy Hounstein, who I met when I was in my master's program at Northwestern.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: So she is real prestigious, very academically accomplished.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: And Amy, you wrote an introduction, and I it's so academic in nature to and it's so true.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: So true.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: And I mean, it's, but you're so accomplished.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: And the way that I see you is someone who is so interested and invested in the welfare of other people and in holding space for their identity, for their and and making way for their achievement in a in a way that is but not equalizing.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: It's not, it's not that.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: It's just sort of really you really fight for people to have like the dignity of people and for everybody to have a path to success in a way that, you know, for me, one of the greatest gifts you gave me was when we were at our first meeting.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: And I don't know if I've ever told you this.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: So we were at our first meeting for our HLP program.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: And I mean, there are a lot of very smart people in the room.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: And, you know, I I having our your rejection sensitive dysphoria from ADHD, I sometimes when I'm in those rooms, I'm like, God, I'm too much.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: I'm not meant to be here.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: Like, I uh, you know, I was just sort of okay, here we go.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: And we were leaving, and I was like, thank you.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: And you open your arms for a hug, and you were like, I'm so glad you're here.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: I remember it.
- 3:32SPEAKER_03: And it just and it was genuine.
- 3:37SPEAKER_03: I was so glad your energy was in that room and it changed things.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Well, it made me feel like I belonged.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: It was just like such a gift you gave me.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: So thank you for that.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: And I'll let you introduce yourself while I just like pull myself together.
- 3:53SPEAKER_03: Hi, everyone.
- 3:53SPEAKER_03: I'm Amy Howenstein.
- 3:55SPEAKER_03: I work at Northwestern.
- 3:56SPEAKER_03: I'm a mom of two boys, eight and 13, animal lover, nature lover, just general human lover mostly.
- 4:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 4:06SPEAKER_03: And as Carly said, I really receive energy from helping people surface their authenticity.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: I want them to just be who you are.
- 4:21SPEAKER_03: And I'm not sure really where that comes from, aside from I grew up in rural Ohio, in what most would call a fairly working class community.
- 4:33SPEAKER_03: And I always say there was no money to trade, so we traded in fellowship, right?
- 4:38SPEAKER_03: Like if you're your you know, barn needed fixed, we came and helped because soon our roof would need fixed, right?
- 4:48SPEAKER_03: And so that's just the way the community worked.
- 4:51SPEAKER_03: And I think that's where the sort of collaboration and community comes from deep within.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: Oh, imagine that, Amy.
- 5:02SPEAKER_03: It still exists there, you know.
- 5:04SPEAKER_03: My husband from Chicago calls it the land time forgot.
- 5:08SPEAKER_03: I that's but also uh adept observation.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: Well, or even, I mean, just that's wild because I I feel like everybody can feel the collective heaviness and the energy right now, or and collective heavy energy in the collective right now.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: But I was just talking to my girls this morning about how, and I've talked to the angels about this, about how there is heavy energy right now, and it is our job to, you know, not let ourselves get dragged down into it.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: You know, Brene Brown talks about empathy in terms of sitting next to the hole that someone stunned themselves in rather than getting into the hole with them.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: I feel like that is what the angels are saying in an energetic way.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: There are bright spots, there are beautiful places that are happening.
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: And didn't we read that book, Bright Spots, now that I'm thinking about this?
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you sure did.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: God, all this academia comes flooding back when I see your face.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: But like just looking at these areas where we can focus and attune ourselves, because ultimately, if we contribute to the heaviness of the collective, it's just bringing us down.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: And that's also sort of letting that, you know, we have more power than we think.
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: I think.
- 6:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: I think the, you know, the good old Mr.
- 6:40SPEAKER_03: Rogers look for the helpers.
- 6:42SPEAKER_03: And I think I'm reminded of this just by casual watching of the World Cup, like people coming together.
- 6:51SPEAKER_03: I saw someone lost their wallet, and the crowd started chanting the person's name.
- 6:57SPEAKER_03: And so loud that they found this person in a sea of tens of thousands of people.
- 7:05SPEAKER_03: This Argentinian man, and they got up on the shoulders and they were like chant chanting like Jose Miguel, Jose Maguel, and he heard it and came.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: He was like, What?
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: I know how many Jose Miguels are there.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: No, no kidding.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: But like there's goodness in the human fabric.
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, and that's that goes into your human design.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: And we can talk that's a beautiful story.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: Thanks for sharing that.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: That was wonderful.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: That goes into your design.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: So you are what's called a generator.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: So for everybody who's listening, Amy is a 6'2 generator and she is a sacral generator.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: So she is a non-emotional authority.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: She actually has a completely open solar plexus, which means that Amy, you take in all the feels from other people and you feel them at two times.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: But you and I share this.
- 7:56SPEAKER_03: So this is actually this might have been the original.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: And I'm getting it from somewhere else too.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: Like that, I mean, it's just intense, right?
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: And I'm sure everybody felt the same way in the room, but at the time I couldn't see that, you know.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: But this is actually something really helpful that I tell non-emotional people.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: So 50% of the population is an emotional authority.
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: And authority in human design is just a fancy way of saying that's where your intuition lives.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: So they are directly influenced and actually led cosmically by their feelings, how they feel about things, because Spirit says that they're they signed up for the legit human experience, which, you know, they're feeling highs and lows.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: They have what's called emotional waves.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: You can actually track it.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: There's different types based on where it is in their chart, and they will have highs and lows throughout the month.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: And they're not bothered by it because they know it's temporary.
- 8:57SPEAKER_01: For us, where they are an ocean, we are like a mountain lake.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: So very placid and still when we are left to our own devices.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: But when we do have, we get some of this splash into our sort of arena, it makes a much bigger impact because we're not always moving.
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: And for us, it feels like, oh my God, will this ever end?
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: Because we don't know what a wave feels like.
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: We are meant to be wise about people's emotions.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: So we are very, you know, intuitive and everybody is empathetic in some sort of a way.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: But for us, we really we take on what other people feel.
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: So the way that this can look, my husband's an emotional, emotionally defined person.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: And if he's a little bit upset about something, I feel that at like a four or a six.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, what is wrong?
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: Like, I can tell something's wrong with you.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: Like it's nothing.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: I'm like, don't like, let's talk about it.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: And then he's like, what is wrong with you?
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: You know.
- 10:01SPEAKER_01: We were talking about a little bit before this, that in an ideal world, he would be like, Oh, thank you for reflecting my emotional authority.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: You know, thank you for showing me how I might be perceived.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: Let's learn about this emotion together and evolve and raise our collective vibration.
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: That's not always how it works.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: Or yeah.
- 10:23SPEAKER_04: Or ever how it works.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: But something that's helpful to know is that because you have this and you have it wide open, and I'll show you on, well, let me share my screen for you.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: So this is this white triangle here.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: You have none of these little gates.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: I told you they're kind of like buttons activated.
- 10:42SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: Meaning that you are really taking in whatever is around you.
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: So if you find yourself feeling really angry, feeling an emotion that is very uncomfortable because these will feel more uncomfortable.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: We're not used to them.
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: Rather than asking yourself, what's wrong with me, step out of the room into your own energy, and then ask yourself, whose is this?
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: So you can look around and then have more empathy for them, hold more space for them because it's not triggering you into thinking that there's something wrong or off or that you need to fix about you.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: All of these places, all of these empty spaces are where energy will flow through our lens back out to the collective, and they it's never permanent.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: So it can feel like something to fix, but it's actually just a part of our function, if that makes sense.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: It does.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: So this is why it can be helpful to know, you know, like you have this defined ajna here, which means that you have, and we're gonna talk about this channel, it's called the Genius to Freak channel.
- 11:49SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: Um, we're gonna talk about how this shows up in your life.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: But for instance, if you also you don't have a consistent kind of you're very open-minded in terms of where you get inspiration.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: But normally, you know, so if you feel like you need to solve a mystery or you need to figure out the why behind something, really asking yourself, why do I need to know this?
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: Is this something I'm picking up from someone else that they feel like they need to know?
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: How is this really applied to my life?
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: Does that res, by the way, does that resonate with you?
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: Can you tell people how you experience that?
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: It does.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: It does.
- 12:27SPEAKER_03: I the why is always really the vibration in my my head of not just uh sort of factual why, but the what's the impetus?
- 12:40SPEAKER_03: Like what's driving this?
- 12:41SPEAKER_03: What's you know?
- 12:43SPEAKER_03: Where did this begin?
- 12:44SPEAKER_03: Like, and like why does this matter to them so much?
- 12:49SPEAKER_03: Those are the questions I'm often asking.
- 12:52SPEAKER_03: Like, is this what yeah, why is this so important in this moment?
- 12:57SPEAKER_03: Is it about power?
- 12:58SPEAKER_03: Is it about safety?
- 12:59SPEAKER_03: Is it about like what's the root behind whatever's happening?
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, and that's interesting to me from a human design perspective because you're literally talking about you have a defined, your aja is your processor.
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: So when you're talking about processing and trying to figure out the pattern or the this is where you figure out the why.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: It's sort of where you what you're saying, where you sort of process that.
- 13:29SPEAKER_01: But the impetus you're talking about, the the origination, the it's called the pressure center, it's the head center.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: That's what other people have that you will feel from them very strongly.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: And so what you're talking about is why is where does that pressure come from?
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: So you're taking on that pressure and then trying to figure it out for them.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: And what you need to know is if it ever feels to you like it's too much to figure out or that you're just going down this rabbit hole because it's of someone else's benefit rather than your own, like that's not energy that you need to be useful.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: Does that make sense?
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: That is a regular occurrence.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 14:11SPEAKER_01: Can you give it?
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: I mean, can you give an example of how for people who have an open-headed defined Ashna that feels?
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: Getting lost in the pressure to figure something out that really ultimately doesn't matter to you.
- 14:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 14:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 14:26SPEAKER_03: I think it goes back to that sort of socialization of being the helper, of being the collaborator, of like it's not your burden to carry alone.
- 14:35SPEAKER_03: I'm in this with you kind of moment.
- 14:39SPEAKER_03: And so the satisfaction of finding relief with someone else for someone else, sometimes it feels like, is what is sort of the carrot that keeps me coming back.
- 15:01SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 15:01SPEAKER_03: And I don't know if that tracks with what you're talking about.
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: I mean, you wouldn't believe Amy.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: So Amy, I just I walked Amy through.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: Amy's not heard of really human design before.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: So I walked her through, I gave her a little basics, but I did not tell her for people who are listening what the signature theme of generators are.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: And literally, you you know, if it's like warmer, warmer, colder, colder, yeah, your for alignment, yours is satisfaction.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: Ah.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: So that is what ultimately it's like literally said the exact word.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: You like walk, it feels like I planted you, honestly.
- 15:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right.
- 15:39SPEAKER_01: So there are five types, and two of them are driven by satisfaction.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: One is a little bit more peaceful satisfaction, and sort of, but yours is legit feeling like at the end of the day, you've spent your time in a way that is really useful, that or that is really like you used it well, you want to do it again, you feel energized by it, you feel really satisfied and ready to rest, recharge, and get up and do it again.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: So the fact that you just said that, yeah.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: So in those instances, I'm gonna go into your incarnation, Krause, because I think it's really helpful to know here.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: In those moments of satisfaction, in those instances, that is aligned for you because you are not feeling frustrated.
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: So the colder for you would be frustration.
- 16:27SPEAKER_01: Has there been a time where you felt the pressure to figure something out that maybe you realize is not worth your effort?
- 16:34SPEAKER_03: Oh, of course.
- 16:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: You know, there are frustrated.
- 16:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 16:39SPEAKER_03: I think when when my grandma used to always say, Would you rather be right or would you rather have peace?
- 16:49SPEAKER_03: And there are times I want to be right.
- 16:51SPEAKER_03: I want the justice, right?
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: Of being right and being acknowledged for being right.
- 17:00SPEAKER_03: But for the most part, I choose peace because that that frustration of we're doing this so you can be right.
- 17:11SPEAKER_03: Like you're not trying, you're not in the process of finding resolution or coming to reconciliation, or maybe even, you know, those empty apologies of like I think of like little kids on the playground when they're like, sorry.
- 17:30SPEAKER_04: And you're like, Yeah, sorry.
- 17:32SPEAKER_03: Like I get what you're saying, yeah.
- 17:34SPEAKER_03: There's there's the adult version of that too, you know.
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: And I feel the sense of you're not really sorry, like you just want to move on, and that's fine too.
- 17:47SPEAKER_03: But um, that's that moment of frustration for me is when folks are really digging their heels in, or maybe it's even myself digging my heels in, and it's like, yeah, for what?
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: That's such a perfect, and it's so helpful for me to hear and understand that because the way that clinically I would say that that is in human design is you have this pressure to figure stuff out, but you need to know what's yours to figure out and what's not.
- 18:14SPEAKER_01: And the way you can do that for you is like in your gut, is this worth my time?
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: But what you're saying and what you're saying, is the need to prove it just for proving its sake.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: The need to figure it out just for figuring it out's sake.
- 18:30SPEAKER_01: It's not about what's yours to figure out and what's not.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: It's about the awareness that you're talking about of am I figuring this out just to do it?
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: It's not necessarily about other people.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: It's just figuring out, am I figuring this out because I'm passionate about this person and I want to help them?
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: And that's actually a part of your purpose, we'll talk about in a second.
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: Or am I figuring this out because it's annoying me and I want to resolve it?
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: And then ultimately, so so what you figure it out and then okay, I figured it out.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: Right, and that's not satisfying.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: It is not because it's a waste of your energy, because ultimately you figured it out, and it's like, yeah, now what?
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: Now I've used my energy in a way that is really, you know, now I'm drained, probably.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: And no one's happy, right?
- 19:22SPEAKER_03: Right, right.
- 19:23SPEAKER_03: Like it wasn't satisfying for anyone to get there.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: And the the not sorry you're feeling is also like so clearly emotional, like having an open emotional center is like we can that's another thing.
- 19:39SPEAKER_01: So if they're not sorry, we're feeling that at two times.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: It's so clear.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: And so when we call people, like it this is my experience.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: When I call people on it, I was telling you about my husband.
- 19:49SPEAKER_01: When I call people and I'm like, hey, what's the deal?
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: You're off.
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: For him, he is, but he can't hide in front of me.
- 19:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: You know, yeah.
- 19:59SPEAKER_01: In a deal world, he'd be like, Oh, thank you for reflecting that to me, that I am, you know, that this might be what's inside me.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: And, you know, let's let's talk about humanity and how we can look at this emotion.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: And it that's not how it works.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: It's like I come off as raging and overreactive.
- 20:16SPEAKER_03: And it it, I don't know if this shows up somewhere either, but going deeper into this section, it also triggers something back into me of, and it's not the exact right words, but like forgive and forget.
- 20:30SPEAKER_03: Like I forgive very easily.
- 20:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we all make mistakes.
- 20:34SPEAKER_03: It was just, you know, a misunderstanding, misalignment.
- 20:37SPEAKER_03: Something was off.
- 20:38SPEAKER_03: Fine.
- 20:39SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 20:39SPEAKER_03: But I rarely forget, like that we had that interaction.
- 20:43SPEAKER_03: And it's not that I'm keeping score, but it also helps me understand you in relation to me.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: So I one of the ways that people describe open our grooves as I describe them in terms of a puzzle piece or the open centers, is that we become wise in those areas.
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: And so even just the example that you and I had of remembering that emotional moment and sincerity and emotion, and you know, the the emotion of like or the that belonging brings up.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, I get around you and I want to bring up all of these academic people.
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: So I'm thinking about Brene in terms of her definitions of all these beautiful feelings we have, rather than the sad, glad, mad triad.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: So I'm sure there's one in there, but that could be a way.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: I wonder if most people who don't aren't emotionally defined.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: I wonder if there's a difference there.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: If you have that defined in your solar, you have a defined solar plexus, you don't remember moments as easily.
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: Or like if someone like you had a fight, maybe it's less memorable to you than someone who has an open center.
- 21:58SPEAKER_03: Those are like the connections.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Connective moments for me.
- 22:01SPEAKER_03: Those are the ones where, you know, my energy saw your energy.
- 22:06SPEAKER_03: You know, like that moment of deeper.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: Well, literally, right.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: You felt it.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: You felt it.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: You took that on as your own and then felt it amplified in your body.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: That's what you're doing.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: And oh wow.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: It's interesting.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: I just find this stuff like endlessly fascinating in the way that I mean I'm so thankful to you.
- 22:28unknown: I'm grateful.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: Oh my God.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: I'm so grateful to you.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: Oh, I owe you so much.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: And that's, you know what?
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: Let's talk about your left angle cross of endeavor here.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: So talking about your incarnation cross.
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: Incarnation crosses in human design are there's a hundred and close to 200 of them, I think.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: So they are very, there are billions of combinations for human design.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: That's one of the things I love about it, is it's so specific to you.
- 22:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: Uh, and it can make you feel so validated.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: One of these parts is an incarnation cross, which is sort of a theme.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: It's not necessarily your purpose.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: You're living your purpose already when you are authentically yourself.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: It's not something you have to find.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: But it's helpful to people to read this sometimes because it can validate that you are where you're meant to be.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: So for you, you have a left-angle cross, which means it's focused more on the collective.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: It's a journey, it's a trans per I think they call it transpersonal.
- 23:24SPEAKER_01: I can't remember what it is, but it's it's outward facing your sort of purpose and theme in this lifetime.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna review what my software says because I found that that's the most objective way to give it to people.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: You came into this world to start something on your own and really go deep with it.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: You stay in control by motivating others to do better, which gives you the opportunity to stand out from those around you as they give you recognition.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: Do you does that resonate with you?
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: First of all, because sometimes this language is super heavy, and I read it just in case it hits the people differently than it hits me.
- 24:01SPEAKER_01: What do you get from that?
- 24:03SPEAKER_03: Start something on your own and really go deep with it is maybe the closest mantra of well, yeah.
- 24:14SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 24:14SPEAKER_03: Like nailed it, you stay in control.
- 24:18SPEAKER_03: That's an interesting word because I am often told that I in a positive way, people tell me the, you know, there's the like the saying of ice water in your veins.
- 24:32SPEAKER_03: Like you don't nothing, you're unflappable, right?
- 24:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 24:37SPEAKER_03: Is a characteristic that I would say tens, maybe hundreds of people have said about me.
- 24:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but it can also come off as cold and uncaring.
- 24:46SPEAKER_03: It can also come off as like sort of standoffish, but by motivating others to do better, that one is challenging for me because I have always worked on who's who says what's better.
- 25:02SPEAKER_03: Like, is it from my seat what I think is better based on my experience, life design now and socialization, or is it what's better for them?
- 25:15SPEAKER_03: And that took some undoing of thinking.
- 25:18SPEAKER_03: I was a middle and high school teacher once with Oh, I didn't know that.
- 25:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah, in for 10 years in Cleveland.
- 25:26SPEAKER_03: Part of the time I worked at an urban arts school, urban coded for largely black and brown kids.
- 25:36SPEAKER_03: And my goal was really for them to do better, right?
- 25:40SPEAKER_03: Like to be better to, and what that better looked like at that time was armed and centric, right?
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 25:49SPEAKER_03: And it took me a while to realize motivating others to do better has to come from what's better for them as named by them, for us, by us.
- 26:01SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 26:02SPEAKER_03: And so those are the places that I am sort of consciously working on right now.
- 26:09SPEAKER_03: I don't know if that comes into play with this.
- 26:12SPEAKER_03: No, this it's just the way that it's written.
- 26:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:14SPEAKER_01: Because this this language at the end, which gives you the opportunity to stand out from those around you as they give you recognition.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: The way that I hear this, and I can ask Spirit also to clarify this.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: They're saying to read some other ones.
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: The first thing that I, when you say do better here, I see is be more of themselves, okay.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: Be more aligned with themselves.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: Do better at that.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: But also it's interesting that you felt that.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: Because it's something that you actually feel.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: I mean, we can look up, let's look up this.
- 26:44SPEAKER_03: This is something I have experienced being able to manipulate others into controlling them to do what I want them to do.
- 26:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:56SPEAKER_03: And that is not good for either of us.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: Well, um, when it's talking about recognition here, what that really is is feedback.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: So you stand out from those around you as they give you feedback around that.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: And what you're saying is you've taken that in.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: And this is not all necessarily right.
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: So this is not, and this is a theme that you would continue to experience through your life, is you're helping people to, you know, maybe it's the more evolved version of this is, you know, find themselves authentically.
- 27:29SPEAKER_01: And when they give you that feedback, reflect back to you, that is what makes you special.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: That's the satisfaction.
- 27:36SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: Now you're you.
- 27:39SPEAKER_03: You've taken the mask off.
- 27:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:42SPEAKER_01: And that's a service to other people.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: I mean, so I'm looking at just an AI overview.
- 27:49SPEAKER_01: Something that's really helpful to me if the if the language doesn't resonate is just to look up.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: I've got these are the the gates and centers.
- 27:57SPEAKER_01: This is my trusty spreadsheet for the gates and the channels.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: I have three definitions from different sources, just so that you can get the synthesis.
- 28:04SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: So something I do is I, you know, use Google or whatever as sort of an oracle and let Spirit point me to certain different definitions.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: So this one says, focus on trans transpersonal.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: Ha! I was right.
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: Service.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: Your purpose unfolds through relationships require you to balance ambition, material depth, and the drive to help others with to find practical long-term solutions.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: Here's another one that I can pull out.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: This cross reflects a profound capacity for controlled action and strategic use of resources, often manifesting as an ability to initiate projects and sustain them through discipline application of willpower and knowledge.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: That one lands.
- 28:44unknown: Yeah.
- 28:45SPEAKER_03: That one lands.
- 28:46SPEAKER_03: And especially strategic use of resources.
- 28:49SPEAKER_03: I won't say naturally because it's it takes effort, but I love to connect other people.
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:57SPEAKER_03: And so I often from students or colleagues am asked, like, oh, I'm really interested in this.
- 29:03SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, oh, I know two people who do that.
- 29:06SPEAKER_03: Let me send an email.
- 29:08SPEAKER_03: And that also is satisfying to help them get moving into because in action is really frustrating to me.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: Because you're a generator.
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: You literally have this defined, and I'll talk about this in a second, but just you have this defined, we'll talk about it now.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: You have this defined sacral center, which generators.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: The way I first explain this to generators when I'm in a reading with them is that you have a it's like you wake up with a people will say a full battery, you can also see it as like this little fire, right?
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: You wake up with this little fire, and your job is to burn this big, you see this huge pile of kiddling, right?
- 29:56SPEAKER_01: And the more you listen to your gut, which will tell you a strong yes or no, you know this about yourself, yes?
- 30:03SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 30:03SPEAKER_01: That you have a strong gut.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: Um, and it and some people, do you feel it physically in your abdomen?
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: What is that?
- 30:14SPEAKER_01: Can you describe how that feels?
- 30:16SPEAKER_01: I don't have one of these.
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: So can you describe to me, yeah, is it a tightening?
- 30:21SPEAKER_01: Is it like you got the wind knocked out of you?
- 30:23SPEAKER_01: Is it like your stomach drops?
- 30:25SPEAKER_03: There are two sensations.
- 30:27SPEAKER_03: One when it's like, oh, we're on to something.
- 30:30SPEAKER_03: And that could be positive or negative, right?
- 30:33SPEAKER_03: It doesn't mean that like it's the right direction.
- 30:36SPEAKER_03: It just means like go this way.
- 30:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right.
- 30:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 30:40SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 30:40SPEAKER_03: Um, generally feels like like after Thanksgiving dinner, like you're just full, like your ribs are sitting on a full stomach or something, like there's pressure.
- 30:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 30:56SPEAKER_03: And then if it is a clear like risk, danger, just be really aware.
- 31:05SPEAKER_03: It feels very empty.
- 31:07SPEAKER_03: Almost like dehydrated, uh, thirsty.
- 31:12SPEAKER_03: Like interesting.
- 31:14SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
- 31:15SPEAKER_03: Like it manifests physically to for me.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: God, you know what you also just said.
- 31:21SPEAKER_01: What?
- 31:21SPEAKER_01: So people will say of generators, what the gut says is like, uh-huh, or that's it's like at a primal level, the strong gut response.
- 31:35SPEAKER_01: But what's interesting is generators have been so conditioned to give their power away because they have it.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: And we'll get back to, by the way, we'll get back to that fire analogy.
- 31:44SPEAKER_01: I'll be back in a second.
- 31:46SPEAKER_01: But one of the things generators that I see struggle with the most is the eh, the maybes.
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: And it sort of would be like, well, it's half inflated, like it's half full.
- 32:01SPEAKER_01: So there is the presence of, you know, I think of what the image that I got when you were talking was like how molecules move really fast and expand in heat and air and create more space.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: And then like a saggy balloon.
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: Like and then a deflated balloon.
- 32:19SPEAKER_01: So there's a clear no, yes.
- 32:21SPEAKER_01: But if you're in that half-inflated space, yeah.
- 32:27SPEAKER_03: But even the the negative balloon sometimes is a check of what we went, what we talked about earlier.
- 32:41SPEAKER_03: In is this gonna be worth it?
- 32:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the payoff.
- 32:45SPEAKER_03: Is this the point of knowing just to know right?
- 32:50SPEAKER_03: Is this the path that's gonna have some satisfaction at the end?
- 32:55SPEAKER_03: Um or is this a a brand new frontier?
- 33:00SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, because that takes a lot of energy for me.
- 33:04SPEAKER_03: Something that's like, let's start new because I'm back at the surface.
- 33:08SPEAKER_03: I'm not in the deep hole that I've already gone, you know, like the little task maybe with that hole that drills, you know, yeah, down.
- 33:16SPEAKER_03: And so it's like, ooh, we're starting at the surface.
- 33:20SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, there's risk of that.
- 33:22SPEAKER_03: It's gonna take time and energy and yeah.
- 33:27SPEAKER_03: The are you motivated enough to see this through?
- 33:31SPEAKER_03: Because another guttural instinct in whether this is socialization from my family or upbringing, is I have a really hard time quitting.
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:43unknown: Yeah.
- 34:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: And I mean, we can go into a couple of these channels here.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: This this is the nurturing channel.
- 34:49SPEAKER_01: So this is like if you picture this as your like creator, this is this is the prov provocation that creates the thing, and this is nurturing it into life and helping it survive.
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: So that makes a lot.
- 35:03SPEAKER_01: This is, and I'm talking about the 50-27 here, everybody.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: And I don't think we're gonna go into that very deeply, but that makes sense.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: You've got this connection between your spleen, which is telling you what is safe.
- 35:14SPEAKER_01: And then you've got your gut, which is not it's not good or bad.
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: And to your point, it's just is this a correct use of my energy?
- 35:25SPEAKER_01: So when you have that maybe that's sort of half inflated, it's like, can I use this to get there?
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: But what will happen is we go up to our logic, which is what we've been conditioned to do.
- 35:38SPEAKER_01: And that is like Google Googling Google.
- 35:42unknown: Yeah.
- 35:42SPEAKER_01: Like we're meant to be driven by our intuition in our in our body for most people.
- 35:47SPEAKER_01: And that's why it's so helpful when you're tying together that like this processor, which is for other people, by the way.
- 35:54SPEAKER_01: Your processor is for other people.
- 35:56SPEAKER_01: It's not to solve your challenges.
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: And so it's like an echo chamber if you try to figure it out yourself.
- 36:02SPEAKER_01: We need you for you.
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: You need to just trust your gut.
- 36:05unknown: Yeah.
- 36:06SPEAKER_01: And it won't always make sense to you, like right away.
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: That's how I tell people to figure out their intuition between your intuition and anxiety or whatever in terms of decision making.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: But you are meant for that, it's only an uh-huh to move forward.
- 36:20SPEAKER_01: I see generators as guardians of life force energy.
- 36:25SPEAKER_01: So you have been put on this planet with this beautiful life-giving energy.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: And your purpose, part of your purpose, is to discern what where it should go.
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: I mean, generators are the majority of the population, and so sometimes it can feel like, oh, you know, I'm not rare or whatever, but it's like, no, you actually have the entire power of how humanity is set up based on how you choose to use your energy in alignment with your purpose, with what for you is satisfying.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: Because everybody, every generator has a piece of the puzzle.
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: And when we are in alignment with that, rather than letting someone pull out of us how we should use our energy, you have that power to use it to dole it out however you'd like to.
- 37:22SPEAKER_01: So, like you said, not always necessarily is it good or is this going to be good or bad?
- 37:27SPEAKER_01: That's more splenic.
- 37:29SPEAKER_01: That's more, is this safe or not safe?
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: And that makes sense that you tie it into your gut because they're literally they're connected for you.
- 37:37SPEAKER_01: But this is more about is this correct way to use my energy right now?
- 37:43SPEAKER_03: That is um, so I recently turned 50 last October.
- 37:50SPEAKER_03: And I have been doing reflection like you do every birthday or so, and thinking more about how most of my probably 30s and 40s was in the purple triangle, like really focused on others and sort of sitting with like, I no longer want to feel compelled to do anything.
- 38:17SPEAKER_03: I want it to come from me, right?
- 38:19SPEAKER_01: Like from your gut, yes, yeah, from your energy source.
- 38:24SPEAKER_03: From the pressures of contribution.
- 38:28SPEAKER_01: So, firstly, you're returning to what lights you up, which is what you know.
- 38:34SPEAKER_01: So we talked about that little fire, right?
- 38:35SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 38:36SPEAKER_01: So when you make decisions that are in alignment that light you up, that's how you're guided.
- 38:41SPEAKER_01: So you are meant to respond, not to initiate, which sometimes generators, because they have that energy, feel like I need to start something.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: You are people will come to you.
- 38:49SPEAKER_01: You're magnetic, you're like the sun, people are drawn to you.
- 38:53SPEAKER_01: And then you react, yes, no, to what comes your way.
- 38:56SPEAKER_01: Um, and this can be like a billboard, it doesn't have to be people.
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: Um, so when you react and you are in alignment, whether that's yes or no, it's like adding more fuel to the fire.
- 39:07SPEAKER_01: It's like burning more kindling.
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: And when you react in a way that's not what your gut is telling you, it's kind of like pouring a cup of water on your fire.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: So it's not gonna extinguish it.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: It's going, but it's gonna make it harder to burn through.
- 39:20SPEAKER_01: And the more you do that, the more frustrated you're going to get because you don't have the power to burn through this entire juicy set of locks.
- 39:29SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 39:30SPEAKER_01: So at the end of the day, if you have really been in alignment, you're having like this beautiful bonfire, you've gotten all of it done and it's like, oh, it was fun.
- 39:38SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 39:38SPEAKER_01: I want to do it again.
- 39:40SPEAKER_01: And if you are have a soggy set of logs and a huge backlog, literally, then it's gonna be really frustrating.
- 39:48SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 39:49SPEAKER_01: Nailed it.
- 39:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 39:51SPEAKER_01: So that's that's just how I I talk to uh generators about their energy.
- 39:55SPEAKER_01: But another thing that you mentioned that I think is really helpful for you to know right now about what you're talking about is your profile.
- 40:03SPEAKER_01: So this is our how we show up as the character in a play.
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: Like it's not an archetype, but it's just a certain, it's close.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: You know, it's close.
- 40:16SPEAKER_01: It's like this is how we present to other people so and to ourselves.
- 40:21SPEAKER_01: So what you would recognize most about yourself is this six line, which it's so good that you just turn 50 because six lines are separated into three parts of their life.
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: Zero through 30, 30 and 50 through end of life.
- 40:36SPEAKER_01: So you are at this point in this transition that I think is an interesting place.
- 40:42SPEAKER_01: I'm a six line too, and I'm waiting for what I mean.
- 40:46SPEAKER_01: I'm not waiting, but the way that this is designed is the first 30 years are sort of chaotic in that we live like a different line in the in the hexagram where we're experimenting, we're trying things and seeing if they work.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: Where it's called a three-line is what how we live, where we're experimenting, trying things, doing things all over the map.
- 41:10SPEAKER_01: Where a three-line has a lot of resilience and failure doesn't bother them, we tend to internalize it.
- 41:17SPEAKER_01: So we don't see failure as like the Einstein way, who I think he was a one-three, who's like, well, that didn't work.
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: Next, it's like, I failed.
- 41:29SPEAKER_01: It's like, oh, this is painful.
- 41:32SPEAKER_01: And we do that, you know, in however, whichever theme we have in our life, you know, for you, maybe it's it's helping others.
- 41:40SPEAKER_01: You learn how to how you're useful, maybe, you know, years one through 30.
- 41:45SPEAKER_01: Then 30 around our first Saturn return, if you're into astrology, is where things sort of level out and we go what's called on the roof, which means we are reflecting on what we've learned, how what that means for us, still living, where I mean it's not like a pause, but it's just sort of an integration of what we know was not us in the in our zero to thirty time, like what we think about what happened, how it changes the way we live based on the knowledge we have.
- 42:23SPEAKER_01: And then at 50, we become this embodied version of ourselves, which is the guide.
- 42:30SPEAKER_01: And the way we guide is not by telling people what to do, but by being who we know we are.
- 42:40SPEAKER_01: And so you're really stepping into this period.
- 42:44SPEAKER_01: You've done and not everybody gets to that evolution, you know what I mean?
- 42:48SPEAKER_01: But yeah, you when you are in alignment with your energy, you are really stepping into your true authentic self, living as yourself, and by extension, not even by your intention, other people are inspired and to be more of themselves.
- 43:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 43:09SPEAKER_03: That's how you remember your final in residence.
- 43:13SPEAKER_03: But we talked about another one of my grandma's sayings uh when you are who you say you are, you can stop announcing it.
- 43:21SPEAKER_01: Yes, that is God.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: That say that again.
- 43:24SPEAKER_01: That is six-line in like in total.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: Say it.
- 43:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 43:27SPEAKER_03: When you are who you say you are, you can stop announcing it.
- 43:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 43:31SPEAKER_03: And she really meant it for a variety of reasons.
- 43:34SPEAKER_03: One, people will see you for who you are, but you can stop convincing yourself of who you are.
- 43:41SPEAKER_03: You just know it.
- 43:43SPEAKER_03: Because so much of saying who you are is trying to convince yourself you're that person, right?
- 43:49SPEAKER_03: It's the courage builder.
- 43:52SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, the wisdom.
- 43:53SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 43:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm talking you, girl.
- 43:56SPEAKER_01: I'm talking, I'm talking, yes, grandma.
- 43:59SPEAKER_01: Grandma was is this the grandma with the purple heart?
- 44:01SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 44:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:02SPEAKER_01: That was one, like when I was first starting mediumship, I gave Amy a reading and she came to really clearly with the purple heart.
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: I remember that being like, whoa, holy cow, this is real.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: I think it was a piece of jewelry, but um, yeah.
- 44:17SPEAKER_01: But so embodied.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: This is such a good example for me, like something to look forward to.
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:26SPEAKER_01: You know, because I a lot of I I keep reading about Six Lines and how it can be discouraging to not be this version that you know you can be.
- 44:38SPEAKER_01: I've grown a ton in terms of what I, you know, will what I understand about myself, what I'm willing to take on, what I'm not.
- 44:48SPEAKER_01: But it's not mature.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: I'm not matured yet.
- 44:51SPEAKER_01: But you are talking about literally the promised land for a six month.
- 44:56SPEAKER_03: I know, I know.
- 44:57SPEAKER_03: I'm not there yet either.
- 44:58SPEAKER_01: I mean, we've Evolving, but this is the period where you start to turn that corner.
- 45:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 45:04SPEAKER_01: And so actually, what Dana is saying too is this is where you you know that's starting to get deep is this is your power time.
- 45:13unknown: Yeah.
- 45:13SPEAKER_01: Like this is where you step into who you are without apologizing.
- 45:20SPEAKER_01: And instead of even apologize, it's not like aggressive, it's just being.
- 45:27SPEAKER_01: It's meant to show people is when you are yourself, this is what it looks like.
- 45:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 45:32SPEAKER_03: It's really been helpful to use as the metric to say no to things.
- 45:38SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 45:39SPEAKER_03: I am a yessayer because I want to help, right?
- 45:44SPEAKER_03: Like I want to be involved.
- 45:46SPEAKER_03: I want the satisfaction for myself and for my loved ones.
- 45:50SPEAKER_03: So I'm a yeser, right?
- 45:52SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, sure, I'll help you move.
- 45:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, sure.
- 45:54SPEAKER_03: You know, right, right, right, right, right.
- 45:56SPEAKER_03: And now it's like, is that who I want to be?
- 46:00SPEAKER_03: Like, is that what you've just said?
- 46:02SPEAKER_03: Like, is that where my energy is best used for me?
- 46:06SPEAKER_01: Well, because what you're realize or what you're sort of embodying is it's not always satisfying to help.
- 46:15SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 46:16SPEAKER_01: And what your logic would tell you, and that's the that's the plight of the generator, is like, well, I have this energy.
- 46:22SPEAKER_01: What am I?
- 46:23SPEAKER_01: A monster?
- 46:23SPEAKER_01: I'm not going to use it, or I'm going to give it.
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: Like, but that's conditioning.
- 46:28SPEAKER_01: And when we, when you really truly follow your gut, it's better for everyone.
- 46:32unknown: Yeah.
- 46:33SPEAKER_01: Because if you said no, or if you're not sure and you're just taking a pause, that opens the opportunity for other people.
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: And that is more aligned for them.
- 46:46SPEAKER_01: You know, and it, God, that's such a good and the world still goes on.
- 46:51SPEAKER_03: Like my hill is not the, you know, the key that keeps everything going.
- 46:58SPEAKER_03: Like, they'll find a way.
- 47:01SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 47:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:02SPEAKER_01: God, it's just such a strong stamp.
- 47:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 47:05SPEAKER_01: It's such an it's that's such an inspiring.
- 47:09SPEAKER_03: Like that is really helpful, I think, as a that's that cross of endeavor, that control part.
- 47:16SPEAKER_03: It's like at one point in my life, it felt like if I said no, they would fail.
- 47:23SPEAKER_01: Right, but you're realizing the control is it is in you troll actually controlling yourself, controlling your energy.
- 47:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 47:30SPEAKER_01: It's how it's just an evolution of understanding the same things that you've been looking at your whole life.
- 47:37unknown: Yeah.
- 47:38SPEAKER_03: And that's such a cool thing.
- 47:40SPEAKER_03: I say this with love and sincerity.
- 47:44SPEAKER_03: It's like de-centering my power.
- 47:48SPEAKER_03: It's like I'm not the reason they, you know, failed or succeeded.
- 47:53SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 47:53SPEAKER_03: Because early it felt like if I don't help them, they're going to fail.
- 47:57SPEAKER_01: It's the feedback they're giving me.
- 47:58SPEAKER_01: That's what they're it's talking about.
- 48:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 48:00SPEAKER_01: But learning to rely on yourself and your own knowledge of what is helpful.
- 48:07SPEAKER_03: Like there are other paths to power.
- 48:10SPEAKER_03: Like it's not, I'm not the only leader.
- 48:13SPEAKER_03: You know?
- 48:14SPEAKER_01: Like the only guide.
- 48:16SPEAKER_01: And it's not like you're thinking I'm the only person when you're doing it.
- 48:20SPEAKER_01: It's just like it's this sense of I really want to help and I don't want to let people down.
- 48:25SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 48:25SPEAKER_01: And it's you're not letting people down.
- 48:27SPEAKER_01: You're not the only person that can help.
- 48:29SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 48:30SPEAKER_01: Is the realization.
- 48:31SPEAKER_01: That's just very cool.
- 48:34unknown: Okay.
- 48:34SPEAKER_03: What's the um two mean in the profile?
- 48:37SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 48:38SPEAKER_01: So this is what other people would see you as.
- 48:40SPEAKER_01: Um, so this six comes from.
- 48:42SPEAKER_01: Do you see these this sun and this earth?
- 48:45SPEAKER_01: It comes from this point six.
- 48:46SPEAKER_01: I told you the six lines on the hexagram.
- 48:48SPEAKER_01: So this is the 48th gate, which has its own meaning.
- 48:52SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, you can dig into this if you want.
- 48:55SPEAKER_01: And then this is the flavor of that gate.
- 48:58SPEAKER_01: That's why things are so specific.
- 49:00SPEAKER_01: You might even, you know, you your planets, each of your planets is one of 64 placements, and each one of those has six different types.
- 49:07SPEAKER_01: Got it.
- 49:08SPEAKER_01: That's how deep it goes.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: And then this side on your, it's called your unconscious side.
- 49:13SPEAKER_01: What it really means is like your body.
- 49:15SPEAKER_01: So your body consciousness.
- 49:17SPEAKER_01: This is your car, this is your driver.
- 49:19SPEAKER_01: You're more familiar with the driver, but most people see the car.
- 49:23SPEAKER_01: Got it.
- 49:23SPEAKER_01: If that makes sense.
- 49:24SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 49:25SPEAKER_01: So, what most people see about you is this two line.
- 49:29SPEAKER_01: And it's called the hermit.
- 49:32SPEAKER_01: It's also called the natural.
- 49:34SPEAKER_01: Some two lines giggle when I say the hermit because they know this about themselves.
- 49:39SPEAKER_01: This is what other people would see you as, though.
- 49:41SPEAKER_01: So signature parts of the two line.
- 49:44SPEAKER_01: One is this periodic need to withdraw and go inward, usually doing something creative that is out of sight of other people.
- 49:59SPEAKER_01: Does that resonate with what you've experienced?
- 50:02SPEAKER_03: 100%.
- 50:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: And it's important to honor that.
- 50:05SPEAKER_01: And you probably learned that as a, you know, and that's probably what you're honoring now.
- 50:09SPEAKER_01: But that what you do is you sort of do that, figure it out, and then come out and bring that to the collective.
- 50:16SPEAKER_01: So when you ignore that, you know, some two lines will feel this pressure to stay outward, to not retreat.
- 50:24SPEAKER_01: And that is, you know, depriving not only themselves but other people.
- 50:28SPEAKER_01: So that's that part of it.
- 50:29SPEAKER_01: The second part that I like to tell people about is this natural component, meaning there are some things that come very naturally to you that you don't realize until someone else points them out.
- 50:41SPEAKER_01: So like if you're really good at staying unflappable, if you're really good at it, could be like that, or it's just certain traits, or maybe you picked up riding a bike really easily, or like just certain things that you don't realize other people can't do.
- 50:58unknown: Yeah.
- 50:59SPEAKER_01: Anything come to mind with you for that?
- 51:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think the we always say like read between the lines, but I hear between the lines.
- 51:14SPEAKER_03: Like when people are telling me a story or something, again, I'm always, and maybe it goes back to this like finding the why.
- 51:23SPEAKER_03: I'm always listening for like, what's the core to this?
- 51:26SPEAKER_03: Like, why are they telling me this?
- 51:30SPEAKER_03: And so I'm like listening for, oh, they want me to know that they're risk averse, but they're telling me a story to describe that without saying it.
- 51:41SPEAKER_03: Oh, they want me to know they're risk takers.
- 51:44SPEAKER_03: Oh, they want me to know I can trust them.
- 51:47SPEAKER_03: Interesting.
- 51:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 51:48SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
- 51:49SPEAKER_01: And that really leads perfectly to this last part that I wanted to talk about, which this is called the Genius to Freak channel.
- 51:56SPEAKER_01: I think it's probably the coolest named channel.
- 51:59SPEAKER_01: But what it has to do with is you see the big picture and new ways of doing things.
- 52:04SPEAKER_01: Thanks to your ability to convey complex knowledge clearly, you bring structure to the lives of others.
- 52:09SPEAKER_01: However, without clear explanations, people might be put off.
- 52:13SPEAKER_01: The right timing in your speech ensures the recognition you deserve.
- 52:17SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna iterate on this a little bit.
- 52:20SPEAKER_01: This can also come through with what you're saying, taking and understanding things very clearly and sharing your thoughts on them and how that might be, you know, this is a manifesting center, the throat center.
- 52:34SPEAKER_01: So really putting that, how that might be put into practice.
- 52:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, I see this when you you were my my advisor for my practicum is like really taking in what I'm saying and then coming up with some like big picture, new, cool way to deliver it.
- 52:53unknown: Yeah.
- 52:54SPEAKER_01: The key component is it's a projected channel.
- 52:57SPEAKER_01: So you need people to invite you, invite that wisdom, because you're either going to be seen as a genius or as a freak.
- 53:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 53:11SPEAKER_01: Tracks.
- 53:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 53:14SPEAKER_01: I mean, tell me about what it's like to have that adult.
- 53:18SPEAKER_03: I a lot of academics say that they are scholar practitioners, right?
- 53:24SPEAKER_03: They study something very novel and very niche, and then they try to find a way that it's useful for the world, right?
- 53:33SPEAKER_03: I always think I'm a practitioner scholar.
- 53:36SPEAKER_03: Like so I see the world and problems, and then I try to figure it out based on bigger frameworks and concepts that influence the way I would execute fixing the problem.
- 53:48SPEAKER_03: And so people have often commented, and I think I come to believe this myself, that I have a skill, maybe this natural piece of making big ideas executable, right?
- 54:11SPEAKER_03: Like because there are so many people that have really big wow ideas.
- 54:16SPEAKER_03: Like, so what?
- 54:18SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 54:18SPEAKER_03: Like it's really cool, it's really amazing, that blows my mind.
- 54:24SPEAKER_03: But what are we supposed to do with it?
- 54:26SPEAKER_03: And so my sort of expertise, I guess, is I can take that big idea and figure out what to do with it.
- 54:38SPEAKER_01: Have you ever given that without an invitation?
- 54:43SPEAKER_01: And been seen as like a total, like, what are you even talking about?
- 54:46SPEAKER_03: Like I like lots of like, whoa, like cart before the horse, like no, like, or like, why would we want to go to all that trouble?
- 54:58SPEAKER_03: Like the idea is the product.
- 55:01SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, is it though?
- 55:03SPEAKER_03: Like, what do people do with ideas?
- 55:06SPEAKER_03: It doesn't make sense to me.
- 55:08SPEAKER_03: Um like that doesn't have the value that I would see like in a payoff of a of helping humanity, of helping solve a problem.
- 55:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 55:19SPEAKER_03: Sometimes it's like, like, that's not it.
- 55:23SPEAKER_03: That's not what we were going for.
- 55:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's exactly what you're saying.
- 55:26SPEAKER_01: It's complex knowledge, it's bringing structure to the lives of other people to like structure to the idea, structure to the, you know, what you're doing, you're saying you're taking the big picture and figuring out a new way based on your like your your the big picture is the practical part.
- 55:43SPEAKER_01: Then you're gathering the data, like putting yourself in the context of higher academia and pulling that into something practical.
- 55:53SPEAKER_01: But without people, so as a projected channel, what projecting channels mean is you need an invitation.
- 55:59SPEAKER_01: There's a whole type.
- 56:00SPEAKER_01: I am that type.
- 56:01SPEAKER_01: It's called a projector, which means that my entire strategy, it's strat your strategy is to respond.
- 56:10SPEAKER_01: So let things come to you rather than seeking out new things just because you have the energy.
- 56:15SPEAKER_01: Like I have a friend who's a you know generator who just types into Chat GPT just to find inspiration, something to respond to.
- 56:24SPEAKER_01: Um, I need to wait for the invitation.
- 56:28SPEAKER_01: So that means I have a lot of wisdom, but if I'm not recognized for that or invited to share, I'm just gonna look like an over-sharer.
- 56:45SPEAKER_01: And it's sort of like my my aura is like a high beam flashlight.
- 56:48SPEAKER_01: So it's sort of just like in your face, and people won't be able to hear me because I've just blinded them.
- 56:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 56:56SPEAKER_01: And they haven't asked me.
- 56:57SPEAKER_01: It's it can either be a high beam like in your face or a flashlight, depending on if people have asked you or not.
- 57:04SPEAKER_01: So this is a little taste for you of you're either a high beam or a flashlight in the dark.
- 57:13SPEAKER_01: So you can people are either just like, whoa, like can't even hear you.
- 57:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 57:19SPEAKER_01: Even if you're explaining yourself really clearly, if they haven't invited you, if they haven't recognized that you have this perspective that can really be helpful.
- 57:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:28SPEAKER_01: Or respect, honestly, from an academic perspective, I can imagine being in rooms where people are just, they don't respect your intelligence or they don't respect your, you know, there's a lot of ego in higher academia.
- 57:41SPEAKER_03: Oh, that was so much.
- 57:43SPEAKER_01: I was in a business school with practitioners, so I didn't even experience the professorial.
- 57:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 57:49SPEAKER_01: I've heard lore of the professorial just sort of need to have respect.
- 57:55SPEAKER_01: And yeah, it's not urban legend, it's real.
- 57:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 57:59SPEAKER_01: Because I can imagine if people don't give you that, even if you're on it, it's just a waste of your energy.
- 58:05SPEAKER_03: Yes, yeah.
- 58:06SPEAKER_03: And um back to that like forgive and forget, it's like, hmm, I see you.
- 58:14SPEAKER_03: Like, all right.
- 58:16SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 58:17SPEAKER_03: Connection, that reflection of their true feelings of like, oh, practitioners.
- 58:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but you remember it, you store it.
- 58:27SPEAKER_01: So it's almost like your body stores it to help inform your intuition or your gut.
- 58:32SPEAKER_01: Like interesting.
- 58:34SPEAKER_01: That's so cool.
- 58:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 58:36SPEAKER_03: And then it's up to me whether to use that for good or evil, right?
- 58:41SPEAKER_01: Like, right, right.
- 58:44SPEAKER_01: Uh like will be manipulative.
- 58:46SPEAKER_01: That's okay.
- 58:46SPEAKER_01: So that's a shadow side of emotional people who pick up on emotion.
- 58:50SPEAKER_01: I think I could totally see that.
- 58:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 58:52SPEAKER_01: I know how you feel right now, and I can push your buttons if I want to.
- 58:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 58:56SPEAKER_03: And you're gonna need my help in the future, and maybe I won't give it.
- 59:00SPEAKER_01: Ooh, girl.
- 59:01SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 59:02SPEAKER_01: Like that's that generator.
- 59:03SPEAKER_01: I have the sacral energy, I have the life force energy in my back pocket.
- 59:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 59:09SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 59:10SPEAKER_03: And so I often have to sort of check myself like, is this a reaction to what's happening right now or something in the past?
- 59:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 59:17SPEAKER_01: Well, because we feel it deeply.
- 59:19SPEAKER_01: And sometimes we it's outsized relative to what, especially if they're emotional, what they remember.
- 59:25SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 59:26SPEAKER_03: They remember nothing most of time.
- 59:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right.
- 59:29SPEAKER_03: And I've remembered that connection of that first hug, right?
- 59:33SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, right, right, right.
- 59:35SPEAKER_03: Remember, you know, the address.
- 59:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 59:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 59:38SPEAKER_01: Oh, a slap in the face.
- 59:40SPEAKER_01: Great.
- 59:40SPEAKER_01: And so you have to work try to figure out, okay, if I felt that as at a six, if I imagine that that was a two for them, can I get over it?
- 59:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 59:48SPEAKER_01: Like that wasn't, yeah, it wasn't personal the way that it felt.
- 59:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 59:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, wow.
- 59:55SPEAKER_01: Well, you are a wealth of knowledge.
- 59:57SPEAKER_01: You are.
- 59:58SPEAKER_03: I just know so much about myself.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_01: Oh my God.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_01: It's such a gift to know you and I to like as a sixth line for me.
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna just like keep looking at you because it's right now it feels like I feel like I'm seeing what I need to like, what I want to do.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_01: But I'm just it's getting that in my body.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's all right now up in my head.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_01: And so it's like I need to really internalize it.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_01: And that comes with time.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_01: And it's just cool to see someone I know so well embodying it.
- 1:00:32SPEAKER_01: You really are.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_01: Try and try.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_01: Oh, I what are you working on right now?
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_01: Tell the people where to find you.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_03: Uh, learningdesignslc.com.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_03: Um, I have a uh side hustle that I work with individuals and organizations on identity, diversity, equity, inclusion, even though those are very bad words right now.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_03: That's in a whole other conversation.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but go ahead, go ahead.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_03: So learning designs, LLC.
- 1:01:02SPEAKER_03: I have a small business that works with individuals and organizations, big and small, on filling issues around culture, change, identity, making places more collaborative and less competitive, better to work in and enjoy and feel that passion and improves productivity, but also improves retention in places.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_03: And so right now, my main focus is in the world of healthcare and working on advancing inclusion in clinical trials, which is a whole new area for me.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_03: But I am partnering with a group called Research Advocacy Network, and they train cancer patients and survivors and caregivers to sit on research teams to provide the patient voice early in the process, so early in the science before the clinical trial is designed.
- 1:02:03SPEAKER_03: And so I'm partnering with them, and we are pursuing a grant that would help us build patient-centered standards for clinical trials, because oftentimes the research advocate on a scientific team of 10 who are studying this novel cancer medication or protocol or procedure, they're often the only person in the room who's ever experienced cancer.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_03: And so if you are brained scientists studying molecules or biomarkers, you're not thinking about how many times you're gonna ask someone who's suffering from cancer to come to the clinic, right?
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_03: You're not gonna consider what how much does it cost to park to go to the cancer center?
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_03: You're not gonna consider, you know, all of these different pieces, like what how much time off work is this gonna require?
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_03: And so the patient research advocate on the team is saying, is there any of this that could be done from home, like telehealth?
