- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Mark. Well, let's take some calls. Eight
- 0:07Speaker 1: hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number
- 0:11Speaker 1: eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. Let's go
- 0:16Speaker 1: to uh Phil in Suffolk County, Phil. How you doing, Hell?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Mark?
- 0:22Speaker 3: Yes, Phil, Anthony jury the black boy that was convicted
- 0:28Speaker 3: of murder had three non white jurors, a black perspective jura.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I think you're a little too concerned about the black
- 0:36Speaker 1: and white.
- 0:36Speaker 3: What is all the Well, yes, I know, Well that's
- 0:39Speaker 3: the race hustlers, a concern that there were no there
- 0:41Speaker 3: were no blacks on the jury. There was a black
- 0:44Speaker 3: perspective juror who said, I could never send a brother
- 0:48Speaker 3: to jail. So what do these race hustlers want? Do
- 0:51Speaker 3: they want jury nullification for someone who's Phil? A white boy?
- 0:57Speaker 1: What are you talking about? I mean, every but he
- 1:00Speaker 1: goes into court has a lawyer. The lawyer picks the jury.
- 1:03Speaker 1: His defense lawyer decided, you know you can, you can
- 1:06Speaker 1: pick people and reject people from the jury.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Of course, Mark, I'm not complaining.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Where are you in Suffolk County?
- 1:14Speaker 3: What excuse me?
- 1:15Speaker 1: Where are you in Suffolk County, New York Northport? All right,
- 1:19Speaker 1: that airs a little thin there. I think it's all
- 1:26Speaker 1: right now. Northport's very beautiful. Northport is beautiful. Don't try
- 1:29Speaker 1: to park there because there's not parking spaces anywhere, but
- 1:32Speaker 1: it's very beautiful. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 1:37Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 1:41Speaker 3: Wait a minute, early, there you are?
- 1:43Speaker 1: We got yes, Mike, your.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Earlier callers mentioned and it got me.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Wait it, call us right back. Your line is all messed.
- 1:54Speaker 1: It's not your fault. Call us right back. Uh here
- 1:58Speaker 1: he sounds like sped up, like a chipmunk. I don't
- 2:00Speaker 1: know what exactly do they see. We don't have actual
- 2:03Speaker 1: phones anymore. There's no actual phone. I mean, here's a
- 2:08Speaker 1: This looks like a telephone, but everything in it is digital,
- 2:12Speaker 1: and our phone calls are actually running through an Amazon cloud.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I have no idea how this works. And as you
- 2:19Speaker 1: can hear, it doesn't always work. But so you get
- 2:23Speaker 1: sometimes this weird distortion, and then sometimes it just speeds
- 2:28Speaker 1: up people. I don't know why it doesn't. Oh, we
- 2:30Speaker 1: got Mike back. Let's try it again. Mike, are you there?
- 2:34Speaker 3: I am Mark?
- 2:34Speaker 1: Oh good, now you sound.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Like yourself much better? Okay, good like I don't sound
- 2:39Speaker 4: like an alien planet X. You sound like a chipmunk, Yes, exactly,
- 2:44Speaker 4: with's Dave Seville one.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I need them there you go.
- 2:50Speaker 4: So one of your earlier cola's mentioned cats is up
- 2:52Speaker 4: in Connecticut?
- 2:53Speaker 2: Does one opened up in Connecticut?
- 2:55Speaker 4: And it got me homesick before the cats is down.
- 2:57Speaker 1: On cats Is Delicatessen? Yeahs okay, but wait a minute,
- 3:02Speaker 1: he's implying the real Katsus Delhi from Manhattan open to Connecticut.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I don't think that's the case. There's something called kats.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn't think so either.
- 3:11Speaker 1: No.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Yeah, although I heard.
- 3:13Speaker 2: They'd taken their they're going on a road show and
- 3:16Speaker 2: they're going somewhere like Milwaukee or someplace still.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Yeah, like a foot convention or something.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a food convention. But Katsus is merely doing
- 3:25Speaker 1: a pop up, you know where They're open for a
- 3:26Speaker 1: day or two.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Oh.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Yes, But it got me homesick for them, and I
- 3:31Speaker 4: was wondering if you had a favorite I used to
- 3:34Speaker 4: go when I worked at Channel eleven. I would go
- 3:35Speaker 4: over to Sarges once in a while. They were Okay,
- 3:38Speaker 4: it wasn't katz Is. The certainly wasn't Katsass Drawmi. But
- 3:42Speaker 4: do you have a particular one.
- 3:44Speaker 1: That you Sarges is very good, and out of all
- 3:46Speaker 1: the legendary delis, it's the only one that's still there.
- 3:49Speaker 1: It's on the third APLP. Was it third and thirty fourth,
- 3:52Speaker 1: thirty sixth Yes, and they still have the sandwiches like
- 3:55Speaker 1: a foot high. The greatest of all, of course, was
- 3:57Speaker 1: the Carnegie Deli in its heyday, because it was not
- 4:01Speaker 1: an incredible deli, but late at night that's where everybody
- 4:04Speaker 1: would gather, all the comedians, everybody, and I'd sit there
- 4:08Speaker 1: with them for hours. The great whoever was in town
- 4:11Speaker 1: appearing wherever, would show up at the Carnegie Delly around
- 4:14Speaker 1: eleven or twelve at night. If you go back and
- 4:16Speaker 1: watch the Woody Allen movie Broadway Danny Rose, Yes, they
- 4:19Speaker 1: show that in the movie.
- 4:21Speaker 4: But I remember being in the Canggi one day and
- 4:24Speaker 4: it was a table of Japanese tourists and they ordered
- 4:26Speaker 4: one of the like the you know, the biggest sandwich
- 4:29Speaker 4: they came.
- 4:29Speaker 2: They would they went crazy. It was the most exciting
- 4:32Speaker 2: thing to watch them go completely nuts over the sandwich
- 4:35Speaker 2: at the Carnegie.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yeah. No, And people say, why in the Carnegie or
- 4:41Speaker 1: a Sarges or any why did they make the sandwich
- 4:43Speaker 1: a foot high. Why did they put so much in?
- 4:45Speaker 1: Nobody could eat that? And Leo, the great owner of
- 4:49Speaker 1: the Carnegie, explained to me one day, you can charge
- 4:52Speaker 1: like double or triple. Nobody can complain because you're giving
- 4:55Speaker 1: them their money's worth if they can't eat it. Exactly.
- 5:00Speaker 2: But sawmy sandwich last time I was at Cats, and
- 5:04Speaker 2: that's eight years ago, ten years ago, it was like
- 5:06Speaker 2: twenty bucks or something.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Twenty four bucks was rammy sounde.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Yeah, well Cat just doesn't make it ridiculously big. But
- 5:11Speaker 1: the Carnegie even sargst it's really big. But it's like
- 5:14Speaker 1: they could charge you for two sandwiches even though you're
- 5:16Speaker 1: only eating one. But a great point, Mike, Now you
- 5:19Speaker 1: wait a minute. We lost them. Sorry about that. Let's
- 5:22Speaker 1: go to Richard and Bay Shore. Richard, how you doing
- 5:26Speaker 1: very well? Good morning, Mark.
- 5:27Speaker 3: This is Democrats keep tell us telling us they're going
- 5:30Speaker 3: to pack the court and then the filibuster. If we
- 5:32Speaker 3: get a nice majority in both houses, why don't we
- 5:35Speaker 3: pack the court?
- 5:36Speaker 1: They're gonna do it anyway. Yeah, yeah, we don't do
- 5:38Speaker 1: stuff like that. I say. We Republicans don't do stuff. Yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 1: Republicans don't do stuff like you remember. Uh. For many
- 5:47Speaker 1: of these Republicans, they're like country club types. It's just government,
- 5:52Speaker 1: you know. For Democrats, it's like warfare. This is like
- 5:54Speaker 1: their religion. This is like twenty four to seven they'll
- 5:57Speaker 1: do and that's why they'll do anything. They go crazy.
- 6:00Speaker 1: It's like a crusade for them. Traditionally, Republicans are kind
- 6:04Speaker 1: of like, you know, like the bushes. They'll show up
- 6:07Speaker 1: for a few hours during the day, then it's back
- 6:08Speaker 1: to the bar again. And most Republicans are more private
- 6:14Speaker 1: sector oriented. They don't worry about transforming. But Democrats government
- 6:18Speaker 1: is their whole life. Hey, when we come back the
- 6:21Speaker 1: legend the greatest living radio DJ ever, Scott Shannon, we'll
- 6:27Speaker 1: talk to him about the knicks and all sorts of stuff.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Coming up next on seven to ten wor
