- Lucas: Hey Luna, ready for another episode of Learn Spanish with Fexingo? Luna: Ready! Last time we did a lot with the climbing frame. I think I need a little more practice with those phrases though. Lucas: That's perfect, because today we're going to focus on some key phrases you can use when you're encouraging someone — or yourself — to keep trying. Luna: Oh, I love that. Like when you're trying to climb something and you need a little push. Lucas: Exactly. So our first phrase today is: ¡Otra vez! This means 'One more time!' or 'Again!'. Luna: ¡Otra vez! That's fun. So if I want to go down the slide again, I can say that? Lucas: You got it. ¡Otra vez! after you slide down, and you're ready to go again. Luna: ¡Otra vez! — I like how it sounds. It's kind of playful. Lucas: It is. Now next phrase: ¡Tú puedes! Which means 'You can do it!'. Luna: ¡Tú puedes! That's like cheering someone on. Lucas: Right. If someone is hesitating at the top of the climbing frame, you can say ¡Tú puedes! to encourage them. Luna: ¡Tú puedes! — I'm going to use that for myself too. Like, come on Luna, you can do it. Lucas: Exactly. And if you're the one climbing, you might say: Voy a intentarlo. That means 'I'm going to try it'. Luna: Voy a intentarlo. So that's like 'I'll give it a shot'. Lucas: Yes. And after you succeed, you can say: Lo logré. That means 'I did it' or 'I made it'. Luna: Lo logré — oh that feels good to say. Like an accomplishment. Lucas: It does. But sometimes it's hard, right? So we also have: Es difícil. That's 'It's difficult'. Luna: Es difícil. I might say that a lot! But then you can encourage me with: No te rindas. 'Don't give up'. Lucas: Perfect. No te rindas. Let's put it all together. Imagine you're at the climbing frame. You start climbing and it's tricky. You say: Es difícil. Luna: Es difícil. Luna: Voy a intentarlo. And after I finally get to the top, I say: Lo logré! Lucas: Yes! And I say: ¡Bien! No te rindas. See how it all connects? Luna: That's so useful. I can imagine using this in so many situations, not just the park. Lucas: Absolutely. These are universal phrases. Let's practice them one more time. Repeat after me: ¡Otra vez! Luna: ¡Otra vez! Lucas: ¡Tú puedes! Luna: ¡Tú puedes! Lucas: Voy a intentarlo. Luna: Voy a intentarlo. Lucas: Lo logré. Luna: Lo logré. Lucas: Es difícil. Luna: Es difícil. Lucas: No te rindas. Luna: No te rindas. Lucas: Great. Now, if you're finding these episodes helpful and want to support the show, you can buy us a coffee at buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. So keep practicing these phrases. Use them next time you're at the park or facing any challenge. ¡Tú puedes! Luna: ¡Tú puedes! And I'll be saying ¡Otra vez! until I get it right. Thanks Lucas.
