- 0:20Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:23Speaker 1: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Mallley along with
- 0:26Speaker 1: Trade Trendholm, Raj Sharma and Jerry Caldwell. This is the
- 0:30Speaker 1: live taping portion of the show. Thank you to everyone
- 0:35Speaker 1: here at the Maverick sixteen sixteen West Keborn Parkway in Carrollton.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Thank you so much for hanging out with us this afternoon,
- 0:42Speaker 1: and we appreciate seeing you today. There are some people
- 0:47Speaker 1: in this world that do not appreciate being seen, and
- 0:50Speaker 1: that is the CEO of Astronomer Software Company and his
- 0:56Speaker 1: head of HR. I've never been to a Coldplay concert,
- 1:03Speaker 1: but now I want to go to all of them.
- 1:06Speaker 2: What are the best shows you'll ever see?
- 1:08Speaker 1: Apparently, and you went to one without someone's lives being
- 1:12Speaker 1: ruined that I know of you. Yeah, so since you
- 1:16Speaker 1: since you've been to a Coldplay concert, is the kiss
- 1:19Speaker 1: cam thing a normal deal? Because I'm only used to
- 1:23Speaker 1: kiss cams at sporting events.
- 1:26Speaker 3: So when I saw they actually opened this tour in Dallas,
- 1:32Speaker 3: so that was two years ago, so I'm sure they've
- 1:37Speaker 3: added stuff to it, but I don't recall a kiss cam.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Were you there with anybody that you would have wanted
- 1:44Speaker 1: to kiss had there been a kiss camp at the time, Yes, okay,
- 1:47Speaker 1: just checking. Maybe you are already doing it and didn't
- 1:50Speaker 1: realize that you were on camera. That being said, how
- 1:56Speaker 1: awful at a fairing are you, Because like I've been
- 2:03Speaker 1: laughing about this along with the rest of the effing
- 2:06Speaker 1: world for about three days, because this is got to
- 2:09Speaker 1: be the worst example of how not to have an affair,
- 2:12Speaker 1: which honestly is the reason why you shouldn't do it
- 2:15Speaker 1: in the first place. But if you are going to
- 2:18Speaker 1: do it, maybe don't do it on the company dime.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Maybe just be aware of your surroundings. Maybe don't sit
- 2:25Speaker 1: in a really sweet seat at a Coldplay concert and
- 2:28Speaker 1: expecting anonymity.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Maybe just don't go any place where there's a lot
- 2:32Speaker 2: of cameras.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Exactly, and these days that's pretty much everywhere. So just
- 2:38Speaker 1: don't go outside, like you go to your CD hotel
- 2:40Speaker 1: or whatever and you do your thinking then you go away,
- 2:42Speaker 1: but you definitely don't go hang out at a Coldplay concert.
- 2:45Speaker 1: And all the information out of the story kept coming
- 2:48Speaker 1: very quickly because at one point I thought the I
- 2:53Speaker 1: think the head of HR was supposedly divorced, but The
- 2:56Speaker 1: last thing I saw was that oh no, no, she
- 2:57Speaker 1: and her husband had recently purchased a house. The CEO
- 3:01Speaker 1: guy is super married with a kid at least one,
- 3:05Speaker 1: and he I'm trying to pull up a statement he
- 3:11Speaker 1: released like a day or two after Oh yes, and
- 3:15Speaker 1: he's I mean, he of course said, you know, this
- 3:18Speaker 1: is not who I should be. I need to be
- 3:19Speaker 1: a better blah blah blah blah blah. It's like everyone
- 3:21Speaker 1: always says they need to be better after the fact.
- 3:23Speaker 1: But my favorite part of it in his like quasi
- 3:27Speaker 1: gaslighting apology was at the end when he was like,
- 3:30Speaker 1: it is unfortunate that we live in a day and
- 3:32Speaker 1: time when you can't have any private moments like mother effort,
- 3:36Speaker 1: what what is wrong with you? You're gonna blame Chris
- 3:39Speaker 1: Martin from Coldplay for him busting your affair, which, by
- 3:43Speaker 1: the way, if you're gonna get busted, that's a good story.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Right cold Boy concert?
- 3:48Speaker 1: Okay, I mean it's a lot better than Ted from Accounting.
- 3:53Speaker 1: But as far as as far as that goes out,
- 3:55Speaker 1: he had said, it's like, we can't even have any
- 3:57Speaker 1: private moments anymore. You're in a public space.
- 4:00Speaker 5: You have no expectation of privacy in a public place.
- 4:04Speaker 1: It's just amazing that amount, that level of narcissism and
- 4:08Speaker 1: arrogance to say that, you know what, you really should
- 4:12Speaker 1: have respected our privacy to have affairs on our spouses.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And I'm really hurt, but I should still be better.
- 4:20Speaker 1: And he has resigned, by the way, Oh yeah, oh
- 4:24Speaker 1: this is the latest thing. So Andy Byron, the CEO
- 4:27Speaker 1: of the AI company he helped found. Astronomer resigned yesterday
- 4:32Speaker 1: as the CEO of the one point three billion dollar
- 4:35Speaker 1: AI company.
- 4:37Speaker 5: Maybe he should have consulted his AI as to whether
- 4:39Speaker 5: or not that was a good idea.
- 4:43Speaker 1: The company set in a statement on Saturday. As stated previously,
- 4:46Speaker 1: Astronomer has committed to the values and culture and that
- 4:50Speaker 1: have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected
- 4:53Speaker 1: to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and
- 4:56Speaker 1: recently the standard was not met. As someone who's worked
- 5:00Speaker 1: for people exactly like this guy, shut up, shut up,
- 5:06Speaker 1: shut up, shut up. Our leaders are expected to set
- 5:09Speaker 1: the standard. What they mean by that is is keep
- 5:11Speaker 1: it under the table, you ass hat, because I guarantee
- 5:15Speaker 1: you that's what this company would have preferred.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Well, the company, really, if they had just said nothing.
- 5:20Speaker 3: They would have been fine. No one really was gonna
- 5:23Speaker 3: judge the AI company based on that guy having an affair.
- 5:27Speaker 3: But they always they go too far and include themselves
- 5:31Speaker 3: in it, like it and no one's gonna even gonna
- 5:33Speaker 3: remember this a week from now. I mean, the internet will,
- 5:37Speaker 3: but the internet lives forever.
- 5:40Speaker 5: The only way that that could have been any better
- 5:42Speaker 5: is if he'd done it from a motel room.
- 5:45Speaker 4: But how no one's given him credit for the HR
- 5:48Speaker 4: lady like that's where you have to go when you
- 5:51Speaker 4: get in trouble, and he's like, well, I'm already in trouble,
- 5:53Speaker 4: I might as well do the HR.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Lady Really, yeah, you're right. It's like I've been bad.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Oh we know, and this and this is how you
- 6:06Speaker 1: know that it's this is this is the corporate culture
- 6:08Speaker 1: thing that absolutely drives me crazy. And the reason why
- 6:11Speaker 1: he said this company doesn't care as much that he
- 6:13Speaker 1: was having an affair and setting the standard blah blah
- 6:15Speaker 1: blah blah blah. They just didn't want it to affect
- 6:17Speaker 1: the company. Right, This is how I know that part
- 6:19Speaker 1: of that is true. The company's board could have chosen
- 6:22Speaker 1: to fire this guy, but instead, sources noted his resignation
- 6:28Speaker 1: was likely his best course of action financially. So he's
- 6:31Speaker 1: still gonna have his golden parachute along with his trophy mistress,
- 6:36Speaker 1: I guess. And the company could have chosen to fire
- 6:39Speaker 1: him and not paid him a dime.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Well, he's one of the founders, so just because he's
- 6:44Speaker 3: not going to be CEO doesn't mean he's not going
- 6:46Speaker 3: to be involved with the company.
- 6:48Speaker 2: That's true.
- 6:49Speaker 1: But they needed some sort of they didn't.
- 6:53Speaker 2: They could have just said nothing.
- 6:55Speaker 1: No, you're right. But since since they since they since
- 6:58Speaker 1: they acknowledged it, then something had to be done. They
- 7:00Speaker 1: could have kept quiet as a company and be like, yeah,
- 7:03Speaker 1: we don't know that guy.
- 7:05Speaker 3: He's brilliant at AI. Clearly he's bad at having an affair.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Byron, who's fifty kristin the head of HR fifty two,
- 7:14Speaker 1: sparked a near unprecedented viral storm. Honestly, has anything been
- 7:18Speaker 1: more viral between this and Hawktua? And now that I'm
- 7:23Speaker 1: saying it out loud, are they loosely connected?
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yep?
- 7:30Speaker 1: I'm serious. I can't think of anything that's been this
- 7:32Speaker 1: big between those two. I mean, there's because viral is
- 7:35Speaker 1: a different standard these days. It's not as much to like,
- 7:37Speaker 1: if you get a million views on something, it's like, oh,
- 7:39Speaker 1: that's cute, that's nice. But when you have other ballparks
- 7:44Speaker 1: across the country doing their own version now of the
- 7:47Speaker 1: TEXEEO kiss cam and people ducking behind bleachers and things,
- 7:51Speaker 1: people holding up signs that says this is my wife.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Oh wow. I mean it really is fantastic.
- 7:57Speaker 2: You know who really hated this, Bill Clinton?
- 8:05Speaker 1: If we had just waited five minutes, have.
- 8:09Speaker 3: You seen have you seen the memes like coming back
- 8:11Speaker 3: around with him and Michael. I mean he's just going, well, damn,
- 8:14Speaker 3: I had just gotten over that.
- 8:18Speaker 1: It really goes to show you all you have to
- 8:20Speaker 1: do is just wait a few minutes and someone else
- 8:22Speaker 1: will do something equally as stupid, and they will then
- 8:26Speaker 1: have the spotlight and you can go back to doing
- 8:28Speaker 1: whatever it was you were doing at the Coldplay concert.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Sure, he was like Hillary just forgot about that.
- 8:37Speaker 1: No, that's that's something so I has to think. It's like,
- 8:40Speaker 1: I can't believe they stayed together.
- 8:42Speaker 6: Oh I can.
- 8:44Speaker 1: It wasn't. It wasn't out of love, I don't think. Uh,
- 8:47Speaker 1: but yeah, it was interesting even in the uh uh
- 8:51Speaker 1: when they had when the company announced that they had
- 8:53Speaker 1: hired this lady as the new head of HR, going
- 8:56Speaker 1: in there and saying this. The CEO had this glowing
- 8:59Speaker 1: thing about how amazing she is and how she's gonna
- 9:03Speaker 1: just change the world at Astronomy or Astronomer or the
- 9:06Speaker 1: company based on her HR expertise. It's like, I don't
- 9:09Speaker 1: think anyone's ever had that glowing of a public recommendation
- 9:12Speaker 1: for an HR higher position.
- 9:16Speaker 3: I mean, I can understand the glow.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Yeah, we know.
- 9:30Speaker 6: You're in the Treehouse.
- 9:32Speaker 7: Visit us online at Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 9:51Speaker 8: You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 9:53Speaker 9: Visit us online at Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 10:01Speaker 1: We are back inside the Treehouse now from the Maverick today.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Thank you everyone for being here hanging out with us.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Sixteen sixteen West Hebron Parkway in Carrollton, The Treehouse Sunday
- 10:15Speaker 1: Fun Day road show with extra feedback for all those
- 10:19Speaker 1: that were desiring their ear drums to bleed today. Joining
- 10:23Speaker 1: us now inside the Treehouse. Very special guest. You've heard
- 10:25Speaker 1: her on the show a number of times now, Rebecca
- 10:27Speaker 1: Black Hello, Hello, Hello, And to Rebecca's wright is a
- 10:32Speaker 1: longtime radio legend. Julie Fisk, who is Rebecca's partner on
- 10:36Speaker 1: Haunted After.
- 10:39Speaker 8: Yeah, Goshi, Annah.
- 10:41Speaker 1: See, this is actual, genuine radio people, genuinely liking each other,
- 10:45Speaker 1: not like the guy I was referring to during the
- 10:47Speaker 1: CEO thing, because if I say his name, everyone's gonna go.
- 10:51Speaker 1: And that thing is is about every Steve one, two, three, four.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I'd say four out of five radio people here know
- 10:57Speaker 1: the exact guy I'm talking about. Anyways, let's talk about
- 11:01Speaker 1: some stuff that's on the spookier side. So Haunted AF
- 11:05Speaker 1: the podcast that you guys host. The website is hauntedaf
- 11:07Speaker 1: dot com. It stars Rebecca and Julie. How long have
- 11:10Speaker 1: you guys been doing the show now?
- 11:11Speaker 10: It's with years Yeah, twenty nineteen is when we started,
- 11:14Speaker 10: so coming up on seven years.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that's awesome. The focus of your show is, you know,
- 11:19Speaker 1: huntings and spooky things. So I need to ask you.
- 11:21Speaker 1: We talked last week briefly about the former handler of
- 11:26Speaker 1: the Annabelle doll. The reason I say former isn't because
- 11:29Speaker 1: he got fired is because it sounds like she killed him.
- 11:32Speaker 11: Oh I mean on paper, yeah, it actually does sound
- 11:34Speaker 11: like she killed it.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Yeah, Because so if you guys weren't aware you have
- 11:37Speaker 1: annabel the doll that was the inspiration for the annabel movies,
- 11:40Speaker 1: the Conjuring movies. And there's a show that was on
- 11:44Speaker 1: tour with the doll, going to all these haunted places
- 11:47Speaker 1: around the country, and the main guy died last week
- 11:52Speaker 1: and they didn't give a cause of death yet.
- 11:55Speaker 12: Yeah, we're still waiting on it, aren't we.
- 11:56Speaker 10: Yeah, Yeah, it's crazy. In fact, the only information they've
- 12:00Speaker 10: even so far as the corner was like, the doll
- 12:02Speaker 10: was not in the hotel.
- 12:03Speaker 11: Room, which I think we all knew that obviously. The
- 12:05Speaker 11: doll was not with them, right, Like why would he
- 12:08Speaker 11: take Annabelle home with them?
- 12:09Speaker 10: Well, and it's turned into click make that like fabe,
- 12:12Speaker 10: thank you Rebecca, because now they're saying like, oh, well
- 12:15Speaker 10: the doll if it's not in the room, is it missing?
- 12:17Speaker 10: The doll is missing. No, it's not missing, Like no,
- 12:20Speaker 10: it just wasn't in the room.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Yeah, where do they keep? But where do they keep
- 12:24Speaker 1: the doll? So they're on tour with the doll, it's
- 12:26Speaker 1: this guy. Then there's like a few other people on
- 12:28Speaker 1: their production team and other hosts of their show, and
- 12:31Speaker 1: you've got the doll and they go on tour with it,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and I don't know what I don't know. Are they
- 12:34Speaker 1: pulling it out of a trunk? Like, say, Jeff Dunham,
- 12:38Speaker 1: does you know.
- 12:40Speaker 12: Hilarious if they did that.
- 12:41Speaker 11: But doesn't it live inside of a locked cabinet? Yeah,
- 12:45Speaker 11: it never comes out of its box.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:47Speaker 10: And for the can y'all hear me?
- 12:48Speaker 1: Now?
- 12:49Speaker 10: It's the Running with the Devil tour is what they're
- 12:51Speaker 10: calling it. And they've been going. They were down in
- 12:52Speaker 10: San Antonio and all kinds of crazy stuff has been
- 12:55Speaker 10: happening on this door.
- 12:56Speaker 11: But it's like a pop up shop, right, yeah, yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 11: visit annabel They just pop up when they need to
- 13:00Speaker 11: leave it there for a couple of days and then
- 13:02Speaker 11: roll out with it.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Well, did you stay with her? Do they just leave
- 13:05Speaker 1: her in the corner? Creepyly? May they just leave her
- 13:07Speaker 1: in the corner? No?
- 13:08Speaker 12: No, no, they stay with her.
- 13:09Speaker 10: The guy who passed away, his name is Dan River
- 13:11Speaker 10: and so he's part of this Nesper society, the New
- 13:14Speaker 10: England Society of Psychic Research, which was actually founded by
- 13:19Speaker 10: Ed and Lorraine Warren. So they're the people who originally
- 13:22Speaker 10: got the Annabelle doll, put her in the case, put
- 13:24Speaker 10: her in their basement and said, nobody take this doll
- 13:26Speaker 10: out because it kills people. And so that's why everyone
- 13:29Speaker 10: it's been kind of controversial that they even went on
- 13:31Speaker 10: the road with this doll because they're like, Lorraine Warrins,
- 13:34Speaker 10: you're just.
- 13:34Speaker 12: Asking for it.
- 13:35Speaker 1: They're asking, Yeah, but.
- 13:36Speaker 10: Be careful saying that because Jason Hawes from Ghost Hunters
- 13:40Speaker 10: he's outraged at this implication that the Annabel doll actually
- 13:44Speaker 10: killed Dan River. He's like, this is a family man,
- 13:47Speaker 10: he's a former serviceman, Like, let's not do this. This
- 13:50Speaker 10: is hurting people, So you gotta be careful because he's angry.
- 13:53Speaker 10: He's like coming after people right now who are implying this.
- 13:56Speaker 12: But it's like, what else was everybody going to do
- 13:58Speaker 12: on story?
- 13:59Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, you're on tour with a haunted, cursed doll.
- 14:02Speaker 11: People who really are into the haunted thing are really
- 14:05Speaker 11: going to go hard on, Like John killed.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Hundreds of millions of dollars have been made by Hollywood
- 14:10Speaker 1: on the fear of this doll. Correct, and then it's
- 14:12Speaker 1: loosely connected to the death of its handler, and you
- 14:15Speaker 1: think people aren't going to jump to that conclusion, right,
- 14:18Speaker 1: That's like it's like if someone dies while sky diving. Well,
- 14:22Speaker 1: let's not talk about the sky diving. Well, but that's
- 14:24Speaker 1: the obvious thing.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Yeah, isn't it annabel in and actually just a raggedy hand?
- 14:30Speaker 6: All?
- 14:30Speaker 10: Yes, yes, it doesn't looks like the thing in the movies.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Where's Andy where?
- 14:34Speaker 12: And that's a good question. That's Andy does the dirty work?
- 14:37Speaker 1: Yeah, the first victim?
- 14:40Speaker 12: Yeah, yeah, obvious, good point.
- 14:42Speaker 10: Did y'all hear the most recent update though, and we're
- 14:45Speaker 10: not entirely sure about this, but they made an announcement
- 14:47Speaker 10: the nes for Society that Dan would want the tour
- 14:50Speaker 10: to continue.
- 14:51Speaker 12: That's my favorite part. They're not going to postpone the
- 14:53Speaker 12: tour at all. I know, we can't fest we know
- 14:56Speaker 12: right now.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I know we can't ask Dan Rivera about whether
- 14:59Speaker 1: or not he's in support of it or not because
- 15:01Speaker 1: he's unfortunately passed. But the other guy coming out and saying,
- 15:04Speaker 1: let's not make a mockery of this, No, that's probably
- 15:06Speaker 1: what he would want. I'll give you a great example
- 15:08Speaker 1: of this. We talked about it on the show the
- 15:10Speaker 1: other day. There was a man in Florida on his honeymoon, Okay,
- 15:14Speaker 1: standing in ankle deep water on a clear, blue sky
- 15:17Speaker 1: day and he got killed by a bolt of lightning.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I'm sorry, that's hysterical. It's sad that he died. It's
- 15:26Speaker 1: very sad and tragic that he died. But I look
- 15:28Speaker 1: at it this way. If I was in his ankle
- 15:30Speaker 1: deep water and the same thing happened to me, I
- 15:32Speaker 1: would expect Trey and Raj and Jerry, you Rebecca make
- 15:36Speaker 1: fun of me until I somehow am resurrected, make fun
- 15:39Speaker 1: of him, because that's what happened. It's ridiculous. It should
- 15:41Speaker 1: be brought, you know, held up to it.
- 15:43Speaker 12: No, you've been kidding. How many times have I.
- 15:45Speaker 11: Said on our podcast, like, bro, if I were to die,
- 15:47Speaker 11: yeah today, yeah that I was like, the publicity would
- 15:51Speaker 11: be amazing, and I was like, you're welcome.
- 15:53Speaker 10: Yeah, the podcast would blow up forget or not.
- 15:55Speaker 12: It's like, yes, she'd make money. I'd be dead.
- 15:57Speaker 10: It'd be hilarious, make the money money, And I thought,
- 16:00Speaker 10: you please, do please.
- 16:02Speaker 1: And the show would be amazing because now it really
- 16:04Speaker 1: is haunted by one of the former hosts. Exactly.
- 16:07Speaker 10: For the record, the show is amazing.
- 16:09Speaker 5: Damn.
- 16:09Speaker 1: If you thank you for the corrections, it'd be an
- 16:12Speaker 1: additional level of amazing.
- 16:15Speaker 12: Take it to the next level, which is what we've
- 16:16Speaker 12: been eating.
- 16:17Speaker 1: So you know, yes, exactly and when Yeah, but yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 1: it really is. And somebody even left us a Treehouse
- 16:23Speaker 1: talkback message on her website saying like, you know, I
- 16:25Speaker 1: don't think you think. I don't think his uh, I
- 16:27Speaker 1: don't think his new wife thought that was funny. It's like,
- 16:29Speaker 1: probably not, but you're in time. She is going to
- 16:32Speaker 1: have a hell of a cocktail story.
- 16:35Speaker 10: And to be fair, not all people find all your
- 16:37Speaker 10: jokes funny anyhow, right.
- 16:39Speaker 12: So get used to that.
- 16:40Speaker 1: So the real thing that you have to keep in
- 16:42Speaker 1: mind is as long as no one tells her we're
- 16:44Speaker 1: making fun of her dead husband, it'll be fine.
- 16:48Speaker 12: I can't lie.
- 16:48Speaker 11: We thought it was a hoax at the beginning, like
- 16:51Speaker 11: get a little publicity around adult for adult. Yeah, that's
- 16:53Speaker 11: what we thought, and then too many people reported it,
- 16:56Speaker 11: so he must really be dead.
- 16:57Speaker 10: Yeah, when when a coroner gets involved, you're like.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Oh no, this real. Yeah, And we actually that was
- 17:02Speaker 1: one angle we talked about with that story last week
- 17:04Speaker 1: about the Annabel Doll Handler dying. It really is a
- 17:08Speaker 1: great promotional thing because I mean, who's to say the
- 17:12Speaker 1: guy doesn't pop up later?
- 17:13Speaker 10: She did what everybody expects her to do exactly and
- 17:16Speaker 10: not feel somebody not to dog on Jason Hawes. But
- 17:18Speaker 10: it's like, if this guy has built his life around
- 17:20Speaker 10: the pair of noormal he dies on this tour, wouldn't
- 17:23Speaker 10: he want this happening? Wouldn't he kind of love all
- 17:27Speaker 10: of this?
- 17:28Speaker 1: You're right? And not only that, but now they have
- 17:30Speaker 1: the next installment for the film franchise because now facts
- 17:34Speaker 1: now he can also be like he can be the
- 17:36Speaker 1: puppet master. Its like, yes, I want everyone to die
- 17:39Speaker 1: at the hands of the doll as well.
- 17:40Speaker 10: Yeah, there it is. Yeah, you need to get some
- 17:42Speaker 10: rights on that, right, you should. You should write it down.
- 17:44Speaker 1: If we were actually to produce every possible movie or
- 17:47Speaker 1: TV show idea we've had, we would not be here
- 17:50Speaker 1: right now at the average. Would be somewhere in a
- 17:53Speaker 1: villa on an island. But the difference is I wouldn't
- 17:58Speaker 1: have to sneak into that house. I'd just be like,
- 18:00Speaker 1: this is mine now because I've got bags of Hollywood money,
- 18:02Speaker 1: because all of our stupid all of our stupid ideas
- 18:05Speaker 1: are now on film. Yep, Oh, I thought you're just
- 18:09Speaker 1: cleaning your nails. You No, he's plotting.
- 18:16Speaker 12: He can make.
- 18:17Speaker 3: There's a joke floating around in my head. You know,
- 18:20Speaker 3: at least he didn't leave the show to an adult
- 18:22Speaker 3: video store.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Oh okay, that's that's a very insight. Okay.
- 18:28Speaker 12: Is that what you're doing these days?
- 18:31Speaker 1: You know what I'm all about? Passive income?
- 18:33Speaker 11: I mean, it's that's easy money.
- 18:36Speaker 10: Really, can I take advantage of this awkward moment to
- 18:40Speaker 10: plug something that we have coming out?
- 18:41Speaker 1: Please do so.
- 18:43Speaker 10: Hanad F is going to do a live Halloween kickoff
- 18:46Speaker 10: party at Texas Live on October first, So if you'll
- 18:49Speaker 10: like spooky stuff, come join us. But also if you
- 18:52Speaker 10: have ghost stories, that's one thing our whole podcast. It's
- 18:55Speaker 10: all personal goes.
- 18:56Speaker 1: You can't hear me, really.
- 19:01Speaker 12: Says to us. We are the two loudest people on
- 19:03Speaker 12: the planet.
- 19:03Speaker 10: I know because I'm like blasting in my own ears,
- 19:06Speaker 10: But yes, we Our whole podcast is about personal ghost
- 19:10Speaker 10: stories from you know, things that have actually happened to people,
- 19:13Speaker 10: and we will be having people come up to tell
- 19:16Speaker 10: their ghost stories at Texas Live. We're gonna do a
- 19:18Speaker 10: lie broadcast tape kind of like what's happening here? So
- 19:21Speaker 10: if you want to wear a costume, come out tell
- 19:23Speaker 10: speaky stories since that's October first, thank you for letting
- 19:26Speaker 10: me like plug ourselves.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Thank you, Yes, did anyone have Rebecca saying thanks for
- 19:31Speaker 1: letting us plug ourselves on the card today.
- 19:35Speaker 12: You're welcome.
- 19:36Speaker 1: You just got a big thumbs up from Anada Harbor. Well,
- 19:39Speaker 1: thank you very much, Julian Rebecca from Haunted AF to
- 19:41Speaker 1: website Haunted AF dot com. Right, that's it. Check out
- 19:44Speaker 1: their show as well, and we will be back inside
- 19:46Speaker 1: the treehouse after this.
- 19:55Speaker 6: You're in the treehouse.
- 19:58Speaker 7: Visit us online a Treehouse on air dot com.
- 20:21Speaker 6: You're in the treehouse.
- 20:23Speaker 7: Visit us online at Treehouse on air dot com.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Welcome back inside the Treehouse. We are at the Maverick
- 20:32Speaker 1: in Carrollton, sixteen sixteen West Keeper and Parkway. Thank you
- 20:36Speaker 1: everyone for showing up today. We appreciate it and we
- 20:39Speaker 1: love you, but I have to be honest, we don't
- 20:42Speaker 1: love you quite as much as we love Daniel and
- 20:45Speaker 1: Kerrie Cook from COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration for your free
- 20:51Speaker 1: roof inspection. This man, we'll crawl on your roof wearing
- 20:54Speaker 1: that hat, that shirt, preferably pants, but he will do it,
- 21:00Speaker 1: and he'll do it for free. A three three Cook
- 21:01Speaker 1: DFW is the phone number to get that free roof
- 21:04Speaker 1: inspection scheduled. If you don't own your roof, that's okay,
- 21:07Speaker 1: call him out for other people's roofs. You'll do the
- 21:09Speaker 1: whole neighborhood. Also the restoration side of the business. If yountion,
- 21:13Speaker 1: remodeling and things done, the cooks here would love to
- 21:15Speaker 1: take care of you and do that for you as
- 21:19Speaker 1: it is. I think this is the first time you
- 21:20Speaker 1: guys have been on the show actually live, not in
- 21:23Speaker 1: the commercial break right kind of.
- 21:25Speaker 13: We were in that last year at the pool, had
- 21:28Speaker 13: a little bit of stuff.
- 21:29Speaker 10: But I don't think we did anything up.
- 21:30Speaker 1: That was you just I think that was you just yelling. Yeah,
- 21:33Speaker 1: carries the heckler. Yeah. Do you guys ever actually go
- 21:36Speaker 1: to a comedy club? Have you ever done that? No?
- 21:39Speaker 1: I won't take her. Smart man, very very very smart.
- 21:42Speaker 12: Man dueling pianos though, Oh.
- 21:45Speaker 1: There you go. So I know you guys you've been
- 21:48Speaker 1: you've been longtime supporters of the show and we appreciate
- 21:50Speaker 1: it to know when. But you guys also are huge
- 21:52Speaker 1: supporters of the little foundation that we still got running,
- 21:56Speaker 1: the RMS Treehouse Listeners Foundation that still benefits the families
- 22:00Speaker 1: of fallen police officers and firefighters that are killed in
- 22:03Speaker 1: the line of duty in North Texas. And for the
- 22:05Speaker 1: last few months, Daniel and Carry been running a special
- 22:10Speaker 1: in their roofing business with a portion of those proceeds
- 22:14Speaker 1: going to be donated to the foundation. And I think
- 22:17Speaker 1: you've got Oh they did actually do a big check.
- 22:20Speaker 1: This is awesome. So what do we have here?
- 22:24Speaker 2: Hold on, I forgot what I was going to talk about.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Hold on you having a brain fart?
- 22:28Speaker 2: No, never mind, I got it.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Now, you got it out? Okay, am I Daisy, No,
- 22:32Speaker 1: we're not okay.
- 22:34Speaker 13: So here on behalf of cook the FW. We're gonna
- 22:36Speaker 13: give rams thirty one hundred dollars to support the organization
- 22:40Speaker 13: foundation and we we truly love and understand and know
- 22:46Speaker 13: how important it is. So thank you very much.
- 22:48Speaker 1: No, thank you very much. Appreciate you very much, Carrie,
- 22:51Speaker 1: thank you very much.
- 22:52Speaker 13: We appreciate it, guys, and this is really important to us.
- 22:55Speaker 13: We've had some great listeners call us up and we
- 22:59Speaker 13: value those relationship ships. Jordan Shelton's here right here. We
- 23:03Speaker 13: we loved the project he's gave us. His father passed
- 23:06Speaker 13: away and we were able to redo his whole house
- 23:08Speaker 13: and I think I hope he's very happy with it.
- 23:10Speaker 13: It was a good progress well, and moms called us
- 23:13Speaker 13: and his mother, his mother, we're looking at doing a
- 23:15Speaker 13: deck for her and Isleel Ramirez. We just did his
- 23:19Speaker 13: roof and fixed up his house and Alex Mauda, you know,
- 23:23Speaker 13: we went out to Jackie Jackie's house and just some
- 23:26Speaker 13: roof repairs and.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Step mom's house.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go.
- 23:30Speaker 13: Matthew, Matthew Kaufman, Matthew Douglas, Jackson, Carter, everybody. I mean,
- 23:36Speaker 13: the listeners have been great. We definitely want to do
- 23:38Speaker 13: a good job for y'all. So thank you all very
- 23:40Speaker 13: much for your support and we'll continue to help with
- 23:42Speaker 13: RMS and whatever we can do to uh, you know,
- 23:45Speaker 13: reciprocate those privileges.
- 23:46Speaker 1: So thank you very much. Cooked if W rooting and restoration.
- 23:51Speaker 1: So when you went to Trey's stepmom's house, did she
- 23:54Speaker 1: try to rub you down with ground beef and throw
- 23:56Speaker 1: you in the yard or anything.
- 23:57Speaker 12: One of my I need to go out there.
- 23:59Speaker 13: One of my guys, Ethan, went out there and that's
- 24:00Speaker 13: the first thing I told him. I said, Hey, don't
- 24:02Speaker 13: let her get around with any kind of meat product.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I'm not sure what it's out there, because she lives
- 24:07Speaker 1: on some pretty good land. Yeah, so we could be
- 24:09Speaker 1: this could be another hole.
- 24:11Speaker 10: Is there something I'm not aware of?
- 24:12Speaker 1: What do you mean? Are you not familiar with this story?
- 24:14Speaker 1: Thank you for allowing us to tell the story again, Trey.
- 24:18Speaker 3: So, back in the day, way in Grand Prairie, there
- 24:21Speaker 3: used to be something called Lion Country Safari and you
- 24:25Speaker 3: could drive and literally drive through and see the lions
- 24:27Speaker 3: and tigers and stuff. When Jackie would take me out there.
- 24:32Speaker 3: She's always been a big, huge lover of big cats.
- 24:35Speaker 3: So right before you went into the entrance to the
- 24:39Speaker 3: lion and tiger exhibit, she would get out and rub
- 24:42Speaker 3: ground beef all over her car. And that way, you know,
- 24:45Speaker 3: the cats would come up and get on the car.
- 24:49Speaker 1: So that's the way that Trey's stepmam made sure that
- 24:51Speaker 1: he got a great show is rubbing the car down
- 24:54Speaker 1: in brown beef. Oh my god, Jerry, Yes, that is true.
- 24:59Speaker 1: That his code for a big cat crawling on the
- 25:01Speaker 1: hood of a car. I mean, not since a white
- 25:03Speaker 1: snake video, you know, kinde of situation. Thank you for
- 25:06Speaker 1: someone forgetting that. But again, thank you guys. So much.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I'm glad you were able to meet Trey's stepmom and
- 25:11Speaker 1: not get subjected to the ground beef marinate.
- 25:15Speaker 10: She's awesome.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Well, if you cross her, you know what the punishment
- 25:19Speaker 1: will be. She'll cover you and ground by from this
- 25:21Speaker 1: throw outside kind of like Jurassic Park. They just kind
- 25:24Speaker 1: of yeah, that's and that's the whole reason why the
- 25:27Speaker 1: whole Jurassic Park thing started to come up on the show.
- 25:29Speaker 1: And we're going to talk about it again here a
- 25:30Speaker 1: little bit with Rebecca Black. But that's what led us
- 25:33Speaker 1: to think. It's like, thank god there's not a real
- 25:34Speaker 1: Jurassic Park, because Trey's stepmom would have taken him and
- 25:37Speaker 1: covered him head to toe in meat products and just
- 25:40Speaker 1: said had fun running from the raptors. So was it
- 25:43Speaker 1: just entertainment for her to do that? Is this why
- 25:46Speaker 1: she did it?
- 25:47Speaker 2: Yeah? Did you get the lions to come and crawl
- 25:49Speaker 2: in her car? Yeah? She thought it was the greatest
- 25:51Speaker 2: thing ever.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Did it scare you No, Remarkably it didn't.
- 25:57Speaker 1: As a kid, you don't have fear factor. Kid, you're
- 26:00Speaker 1: just you're excited.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Well as a boy, I mean I think I was five. Yeah,
- 26:05Speaker 2: you're just excited.
- 26:06Speaker 13: I could see my grandson doing the same thing, he
- 26:09Speaker 13: would be happy as hell. Lions come up tiger's comb.
- 26:12Speaker 1: I'm too old for that. I was glad today that
- 26:14Speaker 1: I didn't have to take the thirty five overpass too
- 26:16Speaker 1: high because you're afraid of because I'm afraid of heights
- 26:19Speaker 1: understo the I'm going to bring you on. I'm going
- 26:23Speaker 1: to bring you to some job sites. No, no, I
- 26:25Speaker 1: want to bring you.
- 26:26Speaker 2: To some jobs.
- 26:27Speaker 1: No, none of that, not not unless our life insurance
- 26:31Speaker 1: is up. How the insurance?
- 26:32Speaker 13: Is the insurance good?
- 26:34Speaker 1: She's like, no, no, it's not good right now unless
- 26:38Speaker 1: you want it to be. Dan DFW Room and Respiration. No.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Thank you guys very much. We appreciate this on behalf
- 26:45Speaker 1: of the recipients that unfortunately, maybe you know, receiving funds
- 26:51Speaker 1: like this someday. We appreciate your generosity and the listener's
- 26:54Speaker 1: generosity and calling you guys and doing the work for them,
- 26:57Speaker 1: and then you turning and donating some of that back
- 26:59Speaker 1: to the founder. Thank you guys very much. Cookdfwroofing and Restoration.

- 27:23Speaker 8: on Air dot com. You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 27:36Speaker 9: Visit us online a Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 27:41Speaker 1: We are back inside the Treehouse now at the Maverick
- 27:44Speaker 1: in Carrollton. Thank you to everyone for being here today.
- 27:49Speaker 1: We appreciate it. Thank you again to Daniel and Kerrycook
- 27:53Speaker 1: for that outstanding donation to the RMS Treehouse Listeners Foundation
- 27:56Speaker 1: on behalf of not only cook Dfwroofing Restoration, but you
- 28:01Speaker 1: for calling them to do work at your homes and
- 28:03Speaker 1: then see it's a nice big cycle that we all
- 28:06Speaker 1: get to work with. Speaking of working with things, we
- 28:08Speaker 1: have been in the process of doing roadshow bingo today
- 28:13Speaker 1: and we have our first two bingos. Number one I
- 28:18Speaker 1: believe Anthony you had the first one on his bingo
- 28:22Speaker 1: card that he was able to knock off. We've got
- 28:24Speaker 1: Jerry laughs like a hyena. I heard that somebody donates
- 28:28Speaker 1: to the RMS Foundation. That just happened obviously with the Cooks.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Rebecca Black called somebody bro I heard that. I see,
- 28:35Speaker 1: I'm playing bingo in my head because Tara and I
- 28:38Speaker 1: were doing the bingo cards at home before we flew here.
- 28:40Speaker 1: And then he also had Jerry makes a bad pun
- 28:44Speaker 1: and then there's another one on the card mentioned of
- 28:46Speaker 1: Trey's crazy x's yes. And then on Brent's card on
- 28:51Speaker 1: his bingo, he got speaker forgets what they are saying. Yep,
- 28:55Speaker 1: I think that could have been me or Trey. Someone
- 28:58Speaker 1: donates to the RMS tree House fund, got that, Rebecca
- 29:01Speaker 1: Black calls somebody bro and someone mentioned Daisy. There's also
- 29:07Speaker 1: a few others on here that not everyone's aware of
- 29:10Speaker 1: because people on the show don't even know all the
- 29:12Speaker 1: squares that we came up with. The next winners. Now
- 29:16Speaker 1: the next winner, everyone's going for Blackout, So we have
- 29:19Speaker 1: enough for a bingo and a bingo. That's now done.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Now we're moving on to Blackout.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Yeah, Carrie, that means the bingo card, not.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Trey. She can do both. It's fine. She's got Daniel
- 29:35Speaker 1: with So for Anthony and Brent, you guys have won
- 29:39Speaker 1: a hat and akuzi, a Treehouse Show hat and a kuzzi.
- 29:42Speaker 1: So congratulations there. Now for the Blackout winner, we will
- 29:45Speaker 1: have one Blackout winner. The first person that gets Blackout
- 29:48Speaker 1: and screams out bingo, Blackout whatever, you will get a
- 29:52Speaker 1: Treehouse Show wall clock, a kuzzie, and one month free
- 29:56Speaker 1: of Ultimate tree House on Patreon that we will make
- 30:00Speaker 1: sure that that gets done for you as well. So
- 30:02Speaker 1: everyone's playing Blackout now. Some of the other things that
- 30:05Speaker 1: are on the cards Raj name drops, Trey mentions, aliens,
- 30:12Speaker 1: any mention of my head injuries, one of those complaints
- 30:15Speaker 1: about being old, which honestly, you guys could have already
- 30:18Speaker 1: maybe selected with Raj's back. Oh oh that hurts, yes,
- 30:24Speaker 1: it does. By the way, me saying these right now
- 30:29Speaker 1: does not count. Okay, Uh, Trey rolling his eyes is
- 30:34Speaker 1: on there. That happened sometimes. We'll let you know if
- 30:36Speaker 1: you can't see.
- 30:36Speaker 2: It when I roll my eyes.
- 30:43Speaker 1: And then one other thing on here that we do
- 30:45Speaker 1: need to talk about. This one you can put on
- 30:47Speaker 1: your cards. So Anthony, you need yours back to play Blackout,
- 30:52Speaker 1: and Brent, I'm not sure if you have this on
- 30:54Speaker 1: yours is not, but I'm using it as a segue.
- 30:57Speaker 1: And that is someone mentions Anna Daharo's attic in case
- 31:01Speaker 1: you don't know, nowt on there. It's on there. It
- 31:04Speaker 1: is on there. It's absolutely on there because oh Adharo
- 31:07Speaker 1: here from the Bow and Them show on Long Star
- 31:09Speaker 1: ninety two five. A dear friend and former co worker,
- 31:13Speaker 1: and she is here again, always supporting us. We appreciate it.
- 31:17Speaker 1: The downside is you don't have near the support you should.
- 31:20Speaker 1: And I mean, whatever it is your house is made of,
- 31:24Speaker 1: you need to have Daniel come take a look at it.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Because this woman has fallen out of her attic not once,
- 31:30Speaker 1: but why no, I just fell out of the attic once.
- 31:34Speaker 14: But recently a worker came because I had squirrels in
- 31:39Speaker 14: the attic and rodents in the attic, and I hired
- 31:42Speaker 14: this company to come and clear the rodents out of
- 31:46Speaker 14: the attic, plus get rid of all the insulation.
- 31:49Speaker 12: Plug up all the holes.
- 31:51Speaker 10: Sorry about that, so.
- 31:55Speaker 14: That rodents couldn't get in the attic, and then fumigate
- 31:59Speaker 14: it and then in new insulation. And one of the
- 32:02Speaker 14: workers and I sent you a picture, Dan, mm hmm.
- 32:05Speaker 14: My attic is cursed because one of the workers fell
- 32:08Speaker 14: through the ceiling and left a huge hole in the
- 32:11Speaker 14: entryway of my house and damage the wall. And for
- 32:15Speaker 14: the past two weeks I've been having to deal with
- 32:17Speaker 14: trying to get them to fix the ceiling and fix
- 32:21Speaker 14: the wall. And they came on Friday and they did
- 32:24Speaker 14: a horrible job.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Well, I know somebody yeah, oh excellent. Not only can
- 32:30Speaker 1: he fix the hole in your attic, but he can
- 32:32Speaker 1: reinforce it. So if you want to have party Chihuahua
- 32:35Speaker 1: nights up there with a Bala tequila, you can do that.
- 32:38Speaker 1: He can even sound proof, so the neighbors wan't go
- 32:41Speaker 1: well in that spassion. The downside is if you fall,
- 32:44Speaker 1: if you fall in it again, no one will.
- 32:45Speaker 12: Hear your scary I learned my lesson.
- 32:47Speaker 1: I even told him I go.
- 32:48Speaker 14: I do not go in the attic since twelve years
- 32:51Speaker 14: ago I fell out of the attic broke my ankle
- 32:53Speaker 14: a lah Dak Prescott where the ankle looked like that.
- 32:56Speaker 14: I was like, I will not go in the attic.
- 32:59Speaker 14: I have my neighbor. He goes and he changes the
- 33:01Speaker 14: air filters and stuff.
- 33:03Speaker 1: So unlike Dak Prescott, though you come through in the clutch,
- 33:10Speaker 1: I'd like to think somewhere Dak felt a chill down
- 33:12Speaker 1: his stile hurts it should it was.
- 33:17Speaker 14: A little Mexican girl could come through in the clutch.
- 33:21Speaker 14: But I don't get his contracts.
- 33:23Speaker 1: No you don't.
- 33:24Speaker 2: We don't either.
- 33:27Speaker 1: I love how you love your cup so much, so Anna,
- 33:30Speaker 1: how how are things? How is bo from uh? From lowest.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Have his legs been repaired from his mishap.
- 33:38Speaker 6: At the parade?
- 33:39Speaker 14: They are bionic.
- 33:41Speaker 10: He's doing great.
- 33:42Speaker 1: What did he do to those legs? Again?
- 33:43Speaker 14: So at the Saint Patty's Day Parade, which has never
- 33:46Speaker 14: been the same since you and Tara left, damn right.
- 33:49Speaker 14: But at the Saint Patrick's Day Parade, we were on
- 33:51Speaker 14: the iHeart radio float and he had to stop and
- 33:55Speaker 14: go to the restroom, and so he was trying to
- 33:57Speaker 14: rush to get through, and he he jumped like this
- 34:01Speaker 14: embankment and he worked out a lot, and so he
- 34:06Speaker 14: thought that it would be an easy jump, and when
- 34:08Speaker 14: he jumped, he tore both of his quads and so
- 34:12Speaker 14: we had to get him to the hospital and he
- 34:14Speaker 14: had emergency surgery and it took a good three months
- 34:19Speaker 14: for him with rehab and stuff.
- 34:21Speaker 1: And did he during that time? Did he do the
- 34:23Speaker 1: show predominantly from home and you were in the studio? Yeah,
- 34:26Speaker 1: as someone who's done that for a spell, both came back, right, Yes,
- 34:32Speaker 1: he did. Okay, your situation did better than mind did. Oh,
- 34:39Speaker 1: shut up, it's not too soon.
- 34:53Speaker 6: You were in the Treehouse.
- 34:55Speaker 7: Visit us online at Treehouse on air dot com.
- 35:06Speaker 8: You're listening to the tree House.
- 35:08Speaker 9: Visit us online at treehouseonair dot com.
- 35:14Speaker 1: We are back inside the Treehouse now from the Maverick
- 35:17Speaker 1: in Carrollton. I'm Daniel Malley, along with Trey Trenholm, Raj Sharma,
- 35:22Speaker 1: Jerry Caldwell and joining us on the stage now from
- 35:25Speaker 1: Pause in the City. It is Kaylen Yeah, Kaylen new mom,
- 35:30Speaker 1: Kaylin An yeah. Uh from PAS in the City. Make
- 35:35Speaker 1: sure I can get this right. It's only been like
- 35:36Speaker 1: ten twelve years. Pause in the City is North almost
- 35:40Speaker 1: at North America's North Texas's largest all volunteer, no kill
- 35:45Speaker 1: animal rescue group.
- 35:46Speaker 6: Nailed it all right, there we go.
- 35:48Speaker 1: We've done a lot of work with PAS in the
- 35:50Speaker 1: City over the years, one through the show too. My
- 35:53Speaker 1: wife and I did some fostering for a good while
- 35:57Speaker 1: with POS in the City and Kaylin you've been doing
- 35:59Speaker 1: great work with them for a long time as well
- 36:01Speaker 1: as Ashley is here as well from Pods in the City.
- 36:04Speaker 1: We always love their relationships. So we're happy to have
- 36:06Speaker 1: you guys here and shine a light on PODS in
- 36:09Speaker 1: the City and the work that you guys do. So
- 36:10Speaker 1: you guys got going on right now?
- 36:12Speaker 15: Uh?
- 36:13Speaker 16: So I have two dogs to talk about today. But
- 36:16Speaker 16: I did want to say, if you haven't been on
- 36:17Speaker 16: our website in a while, go check it out. We
- 36:22Speaker 16: have like fifty percent of our roster is new to
- 36:26Speaker 16: us dogs, so and we have we have everything from
- 36:29Speaker 16: large to small dogs. Right now, you're okay, So, like
- 36:34Speaker 16: I said, definitely go check it out. We have everything
- 36:36Speaker 16: from you know, we're looking at puppies to we have
- 36:39Speaker 16: today we're going to talk about two adult dogs. But
- 36:43Speaker 16: even if there's not a dog on there that speaks
- 36:45Speaker 16: to you right this second, I would definitely say go
- 36:48Speaker 16: fill out an application and just keep an eye out,
- 36:51Speaker 16: because one of the things were all the time is well,
- 36:53Speaker 16: I was looking at this dog, and I finally went
- 36:55Speaker 16: and filled out an application, but you know I missed
- 36:58Speaker 16: out on it because I hadn't done it beforehand.
- 37:02Speaker 1: So go ahead and go through their process now. That way,
- 37:04Speaker 1: when you see a dog that pops up on the
- 37:05Speaker 1: website that you might be interested in adopting, adopting, you're
- 37:08Speaker 1: already in the system and they can get it through
- 37:11Speaker 1: faster that way. Or if you're also disinterested in fostering
- 37:14Speaker 1: dogs in general and just having a nice revolving door
- 37:17Speaker 1: to help out. So what are the two dogs you've
- 37:20Speaker 1: got available from pausing the city that you want to
- 37:23Speaker 1: tell us about today.
- 37:24Speaker 16: Okay, so the first one. His name is Snacker. Yeah,
- 37:27Speaker 16: with that name, he's man after my own heart. He's
- 37:31Speaker 16: fourteen pounds. He's Terrier mix, super cute. I would say
- 37:35Speaker 16: he looks like he could maybe be related to Pugsley
- 37:38Speaker 16: if you remember seeing him. Super cute, lots of personality,
- 37:40Speaker 16: He's got that kind of wiry.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Fur from the Adams family.
- 37:44Speaker 16: No, do you remember the little He was a little
- 37:48Speaker 16: terrier mix and he had like the little feet that
- 37:50Speaker 16: were we we talked about him on.
- 37:53Speaker 1: The show at Oh that doesn't mean I remember it.
- 37:57Speaker 1: You'll remember, I think. And honestly, you also could have
- 38:00Speaker 1: been talking about our former midday show at Live one
- 38:02Speaker 1: O five three. So that's why I have to like
- 38:04Speaker 1: make sure I know what you're talking about. We're not
- 38:06Speaker 1: adopting out humans.
- 38:07Speaker 16: I think that falls under he might appreciate it, I'm not.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, all right, more about Bugsy.
- 38:15Speaker 16: No, not Pugsy, he Snacker. Yeah, so definitely go check
- 38:21Speaker 16: out Snacker. He's super cute, he has a ton of personality.
- 38:25Speaker 16: I was just talking with his foster and they said,
- 38:27Speaker 16: this dog likes to play tricks on them, Like he's
- 38:29Speaker 16: pretty chill, but like they were weed whacking out in
- 38:32Speaker 16: their yard and he like came around a corner and like, ah,
- 38:36Speaker 16: like messing with his owner. I'm surprised he wasn't scared
- 38:39Speaker 16: of the weed whacker, honestly. But yeah, he said, like
- 38:42Speaker 16: this dog likes to just like give you a.
- 38:44Speaker 12: Little bit of a hard time.
- 38:46Speaker 16: He's a great dog, but he will definitely like he's playful,
- 38:49Speaker 16: so he will.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Sneak up on you when you're doing the yard. Okay, yeah,
- 38:53Speaker 1: and what else do you have?
- 38:55Speaker 16: He also loves ladies and other animals, so it sounds
- 39:00Speaker 16: like some people out there also like ladies. And then
- 39:05Speaker 16: we have Blondie, obviously female with that name.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Well you never know these days, you can't. You can't
- 39:12Speaker 1: just assume anymore.
- 39:14Speaker 16: You're right, my bad, Well this is a female.
- 39:19Speaker 1: She is. I mean, we could call Jerry Blondie. See
- 39:22Speaker 1: there as he tosses his hair.
- 39:24Speaker 16: I don't think he's available for adoption. Yes, if anybody
- 39:30Speaker 16: is looking to adopt a blonde male toenail collecting, he is.
- 39:37Speaker 1: He is crate trained, but he will be on the rug. Yeah,
- 39:41Speaker 1: we've been we've been fosteringing for years.
- 39:43Speaker 16: Uh, she's she's she's very happy, she's very outgoing. She's
- 39:52Speaker 16: actually pretty quiet too.
- 39:54Speaker 1: We're back to the dog, right, Oh yeah, Jerry, this.
- 39:59Speaker 16: One not pee on the rug. She is housebroken. They
- 40:03Speaker 16: said that obviously in a new environment, give them a
- 40:05Speaker 16: little bit of time. But housebroken, very chill, very quiet.
- 40:10Speaker 16: The only thing that they said is she is a
- 40:12Speaker 16: pillow thief. So, uh, so glad you said thief.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Oh, don't worry about me, just keep going.
- 40:20Speaker 12: Oh you're tough.
- 40:21Speaker 1: She is not from Ohio.
- 40:29Speaker 16: But yeah, she like even if you're on the couch
- 40:31Speaker 16: and hanging out, if you're like your couch cushion falls over,
- 40:35Speaker 16: she perches right on top and just goes to sleep.
- 40:37Speaker 10: You're not getting it back, got it?
- 40:40Speaker 2: So?
- 40:41Speaker 16: And yeah, she does really well on the walks. So
- 40:42Speaker 16: you know, when it's not a million degrees out here
- 40:44Speaker 16: in Texas, she is super chill going on walks and
- 40:47Speaker 16: getting some exercise.
- 40:48Speaker 1: And if you want to see what Blondie and Snacker
- 40:51Speaker 1: look like, you can check out the Pause in the
- 40:53Speaker 1: City website pausinthecity dot org. As it is right now.
- 40:56Speaker 1: The thing that in addition to those dogs and everything
- 40:59Speaker 1: that you can do on the pos in the City website,
- 41:01Speaker 1: fill out the application for a dog, you can volunteer
- 41:04Speaker 1: to foster, you can donate to Pause in the City
- 41:06Speaker 1: right there on the website. Raj has a puppy right now?
- 41:11Speaker 1: Is it Grace? Now? The thing that we're trying to
- 41:14Speaker 1: figure out is whether or not Raj is going to
- 41:16Speaker 1: keep this gorgeous little puppy that is eating at his
- 41:20Speaker 1: tiny little heart. I'm sorry, Roger's heart is very big.
- 41:22Speaker 1: It's not what I meant. Gracie is tiny. Raj is
- 41:25Speaker 1: a big heart. Raj, are you going to be keeping
- 41:28Speaker 1: this or this puppy? Or is this a foster situation
- 41:31Speaker 1: for paus in the City that someone could adopt Grace
- 41:33Speaker 1: the puppy. I think I'm going to keep her, you
- 41:40Speaker 1: selfish son of a bitch. You could have made a
- 41:42Speaker 1: child so happy.
- 41:46Speaker 4: She's okay, she's a sweet thing, and so I think.
- 41:49Speaker 4: I think a lot of people mentioned on Facebook and
- 41:52Speaker 4: when I was like, hey, I found this or rescue
- 41:55Speaker 4: this dog if I was going to keep it or not?
- 41:57Speaker 2: So yeah, I think so.
- 41:59Speaker 1: So here it is you're declaring Grace is yours.
- 42:02Speaker 6: She is mine.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah, congratulations is a new daddy, but in the
- 42:08Speaker 1: way that makes him happy. Check out All Things Pause
- 42:13Speaker 1: in the City at Paused in the City dot org.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Thank you, Kaylor.
- 42:18Speaker 6: You're in the Treehouse.
- 42:20Speaker 7: Visit us online on Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 42:32Speaker 6: You're in the tree House.
- 42:34Speaker 7: Visit us online a Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 42:40Speaker 1: We are back inside the Treehouse now. Thank you to
- 42:43Speaker 1: everyone for coming out to the Maverick today. We appreciate
- 42:46Speaker 1: you being here. Love seeing your smiling, happy, laughing faces.
- 42:52Speaker 12: Oh that was our cue. We miss fail.
- 42:57Speaker 1: I'm Dan, that's Trey. He's Raj. And back joining us
- 43:00Speaker 1: on stage are a friend and special guest Rebecca Black
- 43:03Speaker 1: from the Hunted af podcast and from the Treehouse Show.
- 43:08Speaker 1: I needed you to come back up here because you
- 43:10Speaker 1: said something like a week or two ago during a
- 43:13Speaker 1: commercial break to all of us that I wrote down
- 43:15Speaker 1: and said, we need to talk about this again, and
- 43:19Speaker 1: that is Jurassic Park. Yeah, because in a commercial break
- 43:21Speaker 1: you said, and I loosely quote, I think I could
- 43:24Speaker 1: survive Jurassic Park. I do.
- 43:26Speaker 12: I think I could survive Jurassic Park.
- 43:28Speaker 1: See the confidence in which she says this.
- 43:30Speaker 11: She's like, yeah, I can't have a ridiculous amount of
- 43:32Speaker 11: humorous for dumb things. I respect that though I am
- 43:37Speaker 11: all in, I'm scrabby.
- 43:38Speaker 1: Well not only that, you're self aware, but you just
- 43:41Speaker 1: don't care.
- 43:41Speaker 11: I don't all in, Like, let's do this if we're gonna,
- 43:44Speaker 11: you know, take on t Rex.
- 43:45Speaker 12: I think I got it.
- 43:47Speaker 1: So this is so the story came up because I'm
- 43:50Speaker 1: so dumb. It was a few weeks ago. According to
- 43:52Speaker 1: a new study, someone asked would you go to a
- 43:55Speaker 1: real life Jurassic Park? Only twenty quick show of hands,
- 43:58Speaker 1: if you could, would you go to a real life
- 44:01Speaker 1: Jurassic Park?
- 44:02Speaker 12: Look at this?
- 44:03Speaker 6: Wow?
- 44:03Speaker 1: So many people Steve, no, Karen yet, Wait, No, I'm
- 44:07Speaker 1: just I was waiting for Trey to call it out.
- 44:10Speaker 4: Give it a moment.
- 44:11Speaker 1: It's gonna happen. We know it is. It is so
- 44:14Speaker 1: it was very few of you, roughly about the same
- 44:16Speaker 1: on this service. Twenty nine percent say yeah, they go now.
- 44:20Speaker 1: They didn't stipulate whether or not that was before or
- 44:24Speaker 1: after everything gets loose. I don't think anyone would be like,
- 44:27Speaker 1: I'd love to go after they're all running amok. But
- 44:32Speaker 1: the follow up was fifty percent absolutely not. Twenty one
- 44:34Speaker 1: percent would have to think about it. Some more don't
- 44:36Speaker 1: know what they have to think about, And so we
- 44:38Speaker 1: brought it up again and Rebecca just wholeheartedly says, Wow,
- 44:41Speaker 1: I think I could survive it. So you're the one
- 44:44Speaker 1: if given the opportunity, you'd go after everything has Uh, I.
- 44:48Speaker 12: Don't know how I actively go after it's already collected.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Okay, but if if you were there while I.
- 44:53Speaker 12: Was a participant at the park, then I think I
- 44:55Speaker 12: got it covered.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Got it now, either tray or rujh whenever you want
- 45:02Speaker 1: bring it on. I mean, because we're all familiar, I'm
- 45:04Speaker 1: with you, guys.
- 45:05Speaker 12: You hate on me for stuff.
- 45:06Speaker 1: So come on, I love it. So it's either. So
- 45:08Speaker 1: it's either white Girl drunk or white Girl Hubris. Now
- 45:12Speaker 1: is now going to be a thing.
- 45:13Speaker 12: You're going to put that on a T shirt and
- 45:15Speaker 12: I would wear it.
- 45:16Speaker 2: You'll take a cruise to the island on the Mayflower.
- 45:19Speaker 2: And then.
- 45:23Speaker 1: So maybe if we got you a shirt, and everyone
- 45:27Speaker 1: just please don't think too negatively of me when I
- 45:30Speaker 1: say this, if we got you a shirt that said
- 45:32Speaker 1: white girl power off of that, in case you didn't notice,
- 45:39Speaker 1: I've set myself up beautifully, you would be okay with
- 45:43Speaker 1: trying to survive a real life Jurassic Park, but you
- 45:45Speaker 1: draw the line at a white girl power shirt.
- 45:48Speaker 12: Yeah, the Jurassic Park is much safer.
- 45:50Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, am I wrong? Unless you combine to wear
- 45:55Speaker 1: the shirt at the park, you will definitely get eaten. Correct, Yeah,
- 45:58Speaker 1: because you have to the way the movies. Correct. So
- 46:01Speaker 1: what would be your strategy then you're at Jurassic Park?
- 46:04Speaker 1: What would be your strategy to survive?
- 46:06Speaker 12: I don't have a strategy.
- 46:07Speaker 6: Perfect.
- 46:07Speaker 2: There you go.
- 46:09Speaker 1: I just with.
- 46:10Speaker 12: Bird attacks then I attacked back.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Are you going to try to poke the pterodactyl's eyes?
- 46:18Speaker 12: Yeah, I would assume definitely you go for eyes first.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 46:22Speaker 11: I just think that, like my brother beat me up
- 46:25Speaker 11: so much growing up that I think I've got enough
- 46:27Speaker 11: like scrappiness I could.
- 46:29Speaker 3: So you're not even gonna do like the typical white
- 46:31Speaker 3: woman stuff of like you're gonna have a bag of
- 46:32Speaker 3: treats and you're going to domesticate.
- 46:34Speaker 2: All of them.
- 46:35Speaker 11: You know, nobody said I wasn't going to try to
- 46:37Speaker 11: pet it first, Like, calm down, here's a reason you
- 46:40Speaker 11: try to pet it.
- 46:43Speaker 1: You will be the reason that everything gets loose because
- 46:46Speaker 1: she tried to feed it through the fence and then
- 46:48Speaker 1: jumped through the fence and started eating everything. Got it, Okay, I'll.
- 46:51Speaker 12: Be the start of the problem.
- 46:54Speaker 4: That's how you end up on the news.
- 46:57Speaker 1: That Actually we talked about it a couple of weeks ago.
- 47:00Speaker 1: There was a lady at a zoo who had been
- 47:02Speaker 1: going to the zoo for like twenty years, and she
- 47:05Speaker 1: was familiar enough with the safety protocols that she decided
- 47:09Speaker 1: to ignore them on a given day and had her
- 47:11Speaker 1: arm ripped off by a tiger.
- 47:15Speaker 12: Sounds fun.
- 47:18Speaker 1: White girl answered, that was awesome, as long as you
- 47:22Speaker 1: got a stanley full of mimosas beat off.
- 47:26Speaker 12: A lot of animals with a Stanley cup. Those things
- 47:28Speaker 12: are huge and heavy, like.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Come on, that actually would be a good weapon to have, it,
- 47:32Speaker 1: really would it? Really? It is a big thing to
- 47:34Speaker 1: have when you have to handle it because it is it.
- 47:36Speaker 12: Is easy to hoold. It's like ergonomical like.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Which is great because if you're beating dinosaurs to death,
- 47:43Speaker 1: you don't want to get carpal tunnel.
- 47:45Speaker 12: Correct. It can't be too heavy, it's just the right amount.
- 47:48Speaker 1: I'm just saying, no, no, go ahead. I know none
- 47:53Speaker 1: of the situation. So you just keep talking. I'm so
- 47:56Speaker 1: happy to hear this because it just it just verifies
- 47:59Speaker 1: everything that you're welcome. So now I'm thinking if so
- 48:04Speaker 1: in the new movies, has anyone seen the new Jurassic
- 48:06Speaker 1: Park movie? By the way, I have not seen it either,
- 48:09Speaker 1: But in the second see the Jurassic Park movies are
- 48:12Speaker 1: starting to creep into the Star Wars area where it's
- 48:14Speaker 1: difficult to say which one you're talking about because in
- 48:18Speaker 1: Star Wars, now you have three sets of trilogies, nine movies,
- 48:21Speaker 1: plus you got the Rogue one. I'm not even getting
- 48:23Speaker 1: into the TV stuff. With Jurassic Park, you had the
- 48:25Speaker 1: original trilogy, this new Jurassic World trilogy, and now Scarlett
- 48:30Speaker 1: Johansson that they they call rebirth, which is interesting. So
- 48:36Speaker 1: now you've got one, two, three, Now you got ten
- 48:39Speaker 1: Jurassic Park movies and to say which one you're talking
- 48:41Speaker 1: about is now difficult because it's just hard to say
- 48:44Speaker 1: which one you're talking about. But in the middle ones,
- 48:47Speaker 1: when they're in the hamster balls, Oh yeah, okay, who
- 48:50Speaker 1: would you want with you in the hamster Ball?
- 48:53Speaker 2: Oh?
- 49:01Speaker 12: How am I gonna push your al?
- 49:04Speaker 1: Like every woman I've.
- 49:05Speaker 2: Ever met, you're in the.

- 49:28Speaker 8: You're listening to the tree House.
- 49:31Speaker 9: Visit us online at Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 49:36Speaker 1: We have got time for one more segment here inside
- 49:40Speaker 1: the Treehouse Show live from the Maverick today in Carrollton
- 49:44Speaker 1: sixteen sixteen West Hebron Parkway. Thank you to the Maverick
- 49:47Speaker 1: for having all of us out today. Thank you guys
- 49:49Speaker 1: very much. Don't forget to take care of the lovely
- 49:52Speaker 1: bartenders today working their asses off for us. Thank you
- 49:54Speaker 1: guys very very much. Thanks for being here. Not just
- 49:57Speaker 1: to you who are in front of us, watching the
- 50:00Speaker 1: listen and having fun, but also to this guy in
- 50:02Speaker 1: my right. For those that don't know, this is Steve Rutherford.
- 50:04Speaker 1: He is Farmer's Branch Police officer retired. Congratulations on that
- 50:14Speaker 1: and there are Look, we have a lot of friends
- 50:16Speaker 1: at our police officer there's no doubt about it. But
- 50:19Speaker 1: this guy here is on another level because he was
- 50:22Speaker 1: the public information officer for Farmers Branch PD. Now, for
- 50:26Speaker 1: those that don't know, when we were at ninety seven
- 50:28Speaker 1: to one, the Eagle, the radio station sat on a
- 50:30Speaker 1: very weird line of City of Dallas and the City
- 50:34Speaker 1: of Farmer's branch and anytime there was an issue at
- 50:37Speaker 1: the station, of which there were quite a few, if
- 50:40Speaker 1: we're being honest, Dallas never wanted to mess with any
- 50:43Speaker 1: of it, so they made Steve come and that was
- 50:46Speaker 1: how we became friends with Steve. So thank you for
- 50:50Speaker 1: keeping us safe and.
- 50:51Speaker 15: Well, thanks for keeping me busy there at work.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you're welcome, because there was never a dull day
- 50:56Speaker 1: at iHeartRadio. No, there was not, So that relationship care
- 51:00Speaker 1: right over into the podcasting world. Steve Rutherford is now
- 51:03Speaker 1: the host of Offbeat, The Light Side of Law Enforcement,
- 51:06Speaker 1: which is underneath the Treehouse Media umbrella. They just celebrated
- 51:10Speaker 1: one year of shows, so if you have not checked
- 51:12Speaker 1: out Offbeat yet, please do so. Funny, wild and true
- 51:16Speaker 1: police stories told by the officers who lived them. And
- 51:20Speaker 1: it's an outstanding show hosted by Steve. And you were
- 51:23Speaker 1: telling me right before we jumped on here that Anna Dehara,
- 51:28Speaker 1: her story about falling out of the attic triggered something
- 51:32Speaker 1: in you.
- 51:33Speaker 17: Yes, you know, when Anna was up here and she
- 51:35Speaker 17: was talking about that, I was saying, you know what
- 51:38Speaker 17: we have We've heard a very similar story and it
- 51:41Speaker 17: wasn't someone falling out of an attic, but it had
- 51:43Speaker 17: to do with an attic.
- 51:44Speaker 15: There's one agency that responded to a call.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Lady.
- 51:48Speaker 15: She's she's an elderly lady, close maybe eighties.
- 51:52Speaker 17: She had reported that, you know, hey, there's some strange
- 51:55Speaker 17: stuff going in my going around my house. You know,
- 51:57Speaker 17: I'm finding clothes lane on the ground I didn't there.
- 52:00Speaker 17: I'm finding dishes in my sink that I didn't leave there.
- 52:03Speaker 17: And the officers have responded. She called several times, that
- 52:06Speaker 17: responded several times. They're about to try to you know,
- 52:09Speaker 17: they've called in the family.
- 52:10Speaker 1: They're trying to.
- 52:11Speaker 15: Get her mental help.
- 52:12Speaker 1: They said, there's something going on here. Granny's gone off
- 52:15Speaker 1: the rails.
- 52:15Speaker 17: Absolutely, absolutely, So the last step was sticking a baby
- 52:21Speaker 17: monitor with a camera inside the house and law and behold.
- 52:25Speaker 1: She leaves for work.
- 52:26Speaker 15: She still has a job, that's a part time job.
- 52:29Speaker 1: She leaves for work.
- 52:30Speaker 17: Someone checks the camera and there's a guy walking around
- 52:32Speaker 17: inside our house who had been living in her attic
- 52:35Speaker 17: for the last two weeks. So Anna, when you get home,
- 52:39Speaker 17: check your attic again.
- 52:40Speaker 15: Make sure nobody living in it.
- 52:42Speaker 1: Right. It might not have been a squirrel, they still
- 52:46Speaker 1: might have been having some nuts. But sorry that I'm
- 52:52Speaker 1: ashamed of me on that one.
- 52:53Speaker 17: Hey and Dan, I do want to bring up you
- 52:55Speaker 17: had Daniel and carry cook up here.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Yep.
- 52:57Speaker 15: Cook DFW.
- 53:00Speaker 17: Gave a donation to the our ministry House Listeners Foundation. Yes,
- 53:03Speaker 17: we do have some survivors in the room who have
- 53:05Speaker 17: been recipients of those funds. We got Joanne Jackson, we
- 53:10Speaker 17: have my lovely bride now Karen Karen Freete Rutherford, and
- 53:15Speaker 17: we you know, we have Renee Hadley back there as well.
- 53:18Speaker 15: Renee's brother, Mark Knix, was a Dallas officer that was.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Killed in the line of duty.
- 53:22Speaker 17: So thank you, guys. Thank all the donors donating to
- 53:26Speaker 17: the Treehouse Listeners Foundation. I can tell you firsthand that
- 53:31Speaker 17: makes a huge difference for these survivors who have experienced
- 53:33Speaker 17: the traumatic death in their family out of secrets. You know,
- 53:36Speaker 17: husband goes to work and then next thing you know,
- 53:39Speaker 17: Chief shows up at your door and tells you that
- 53:40Speaker 17: your loved one's.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Been That's the worst possible thing you can think of
- 53:43Speaker 1: on a given day. Yeah, so that very very important.
- 53:46Speaker 6: Guys.
- 53:47Speaker 15: Thank you to all the Listeners.
- 53:48Speaker 17: Thank you Daniel Carrey for donating to the Listeners Foundation.
- 53:52Speaker 17: Thanks guys, Thank.
- 53:53Speaker 1: You guys very much. And before we let you go,
- 53:59Speaker 1: there is another's story that I want to make sure
- 54:01Speaker 1: everyone hears. And that is a story as told on
- 54:04Speaker 1: Offbeat The Light Side of Law Enforcement, about a canine
- 54:07Speaker 1: officer named Jacks.
- 54:11Speaker 15: Oh, we've already got We've already got people laughing.
- 54:13Speaker 1: That's a good start.
- 54:16Speaker 17: Well, we one agency here in the North Texas area
- 54:19Speaker 17: did not have a canine. They had an officer that
- 54:22Speaker 17: was trained to handle a dog. They didn't have a
- 54:24Speaker 17: didn't have a dog, as most of us know. And
- 54:27Speaker 17: Colorado a lot of their laws changed, narcotics laws changed,
- 54:31Speaker 17: and they had a dog that they no longer.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Had the need for.
- 54:34Speaker 17: So this agency found out about it and they said, Hey,
- 54:36Speaker 17: the dog's free and you can have him if you'll
- 54:39Speaker 17: drive up here to Colorado and pick him up. So
- 54:41Speaker 17: the agency jumped on it. These these dogs can cost
- 54:44Speaker 17: thousands of dollars. You get a dog that's trained to track,
- 54:47Speaker 17: he's ten thousand dollars. You wanted to sniff out dope?
- 54:50Speaker 17: Add another ten grand to that, add ten grand for
- 54:52Speaker 17: every kind of discipline, explosives, whatever.
- 54:54Speaker 15: So yeah, free dog, we're on our way.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Sure, they go up to Colorado, they pick up. This dog.
- 54:59Speaker 17: Dog's names Jacks ja x X. This dog's a Belgium Melama.
- 55:04Speaker 17: The dog responds to commands in Dutch. The problem with
- 55:10Speaker 17: this is that the a canine officer calling a dog
- 55:15Speaker 17: off of a bite, they have to call him back
- 55:17Speaker 17: or tell the dog, hey, release, come back here by
- 55:20Speaker 17: me hanging in there with me, buddy, the Dutch turn
- 55:25Speaker 17: to return or whatever is off. So you have a
- 55:29Speaker 17: canine officer with his dog biting a suspect and he
- 55:33Speaker 17: is yelling.
- 55:34Speaker 1: Jack's off, Jack's off. But it doesn't stop there because
- 55:39Speaker 1: if you think for just a moment and let your empathy,
- 55:42Speaker 1: let your empathy flow. The guy that's being bitten by
- 55:46Speaker 1: Jackson is now hearing Jack's off. Who knows what's about
- 55:49Speaker 1: to happen to this guy? He thought the bite was
- 55:51Speaker 1: the worst thing to happen to him. Yeah, is this
- 55:54Speaker 1: what I have to do to get him to quit?
- 55:55Speaker 2: Bite me?
- 55:56Speaker 1: And made? It? Might help. Look if you're being if
- 56:02Speaker 1: you are being mauled by a canine police officer, I
- 56:06Speaker 1: think you will try anything and everything you can. What
- 56:08Speaker 1: does it take to stop? What does it take? Just
- 56:12Speaker 1: do something to make theep? What's the command for stop?
- 56:17Speaker 6: More?
- 56:23Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Steve from Offbeat the Light Side
- 56:25Speaker 1: of Law Enforcement. Check it out available everywhere. Podcast. Uh
- 56:28Speaker 1: almost Setter sould, but that's actually free, so don't have
- 56:31Speaker 1: to worry about that. Thank you everyone for coming out
- 56:33Speaker 1: to the Maverick today. We appreciate you very very much.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Thanks for thanks for your support at the Treehouse show continued,
- 56:39Speaker 1: and thanks to your support of the RMS Treehouse Listeners Foundation.

- 56:45Speaker 1: rest of your day.
- 56:46Speaker 6: Wow.
- 57:06Speaker 5: Alright, folks, I don't know if anyone there has a
- 57:08Speaker 5: plack out yet or not, but I'm about to give you.
- 57:11Speaker 1: A free square. Oh he brought the toenails. Oh God
- 57:16Speaker 1: help us all.
- 57:18Speaker 2: And I just rolled my eyes.
- 57:19Speaker 1: That's two and that's true.
