Lux Radio Theatre - "Murder My Sweet" (Old Time Radio, 1945)
Lux Radio Theatre presents “Murder My Sweet,” originally broadcast June 11, 1945, as episode 487. Guest producer and host Irving Pichel brings Raymond Chandler’s hard-boiled Los Angeles mystery to CBS, sponsored by Lux Soap.
Dick Powell reprises his film role as private detective Philip Marlowe, joined by Claire Trevor and Mike Mazurki. Hired by recently released ex-convict Moose Malloy to find a missing singer, Marlowe is drawn into a dangerous case involving stolen jewels, deception, and murder. The drama adapts the 1944 RKO film based on Chandler’s Farewell, My Lovely.
