Transcript
- 0:02Hello, everyone. Welcome back to Wednesday night's guided meditation.
- 0:07My name is Gary Dean. I host Eye Opener Society and I host this episode every
- 0:13Wednesday night where I bring you through a different guided meditation or I
- 0:18bring you some guided meditation tips, tricks, and otherwise.
- 0:23I like to try and change things up every now and then. And the one thing that's
- 0:28been on my mind, and it should be on everybody's mind.
- 0:32We need world peace to happen.
- 0:37As we are jumping into 2026, it seems like there's more need for that because there's been a lot,
- 0:47Of warmongering going on A lot of noise in the mainstream media And it's being
- 0:52flashed all over the place This is creating so much anxiety,
- 0:57But the one thing that I've seen That I've found to be so beautiful Are these
- 1:04monks that are doing a peace walk,
- 1:07From Texas to D.C.
- 1:11This has been one beautiful thing I've been following it on Facebook,
- 1:15Instagram And there's many posts And I've been saying this But this is the way
- 1:23to do peace There's no flags,
- 1:26there's no riots There's no protests, no loud noise No yelling,
- 1:31no screaming, no damaging a property,
- 1:34All it is, is walking And the power of that has been overwhelming Like I've
- 1:42watched some of these clips and videos of these monks,
- 1:45And I have to say that it's just one amazing thing When I see it,
- 1:52I actually tear up It's so strong and powerful And this is what needs to be
- 1:58done So I would like to do a guided meditation Kind of in a story style And
- 2:04I got some things written out And I want everybody to just find your space,
- 2:10Relax, take a moment picture yourself in the right here right now no effort, no fixing just arriving,
- 2:26let us get comfortable let us breathe and focus on the moment and get ourselves ready for this.
- 2:38Imagine for a moment that the world has grown quiet, not silent, but calm.
- 2:45The kind of calm you feel just before sunrise, when the sky is still deciding what it will become.
- 2:56You are standing on a long path. It stretches far behind you and far ahead of you.
- 3:05You don't know where it begins and you don't know where it ends Only that it is shared,
- 3:13This path has been walked by many before you By people you agree with and by
- 3:19people whom you don't By those who speak your language and those who never will,
- 3:28And as you stand here, notice your breath Not controlling it, just noticing it,
- 3:37Each breath arriving, each breath leaving.
- 3:42Just like people crossing this path every day.
- 3:47Now, begin to walk. With each step, the ground beneath you feels solid,
- 3:56steady, and supportive.
- 3:59You realize something as you walk.
- 4:03No one is rushing you. There is no destination demanding your arrival.
- 4:09This walk is the purpose.
- 4:14Now, up ahead, you see others walking too.
- 4:18While some walk alone and some walk in groups, some carry burdens so heavy you
- 4:25can see them in the way their shoulders curve forward.
- 4:30Others carry nothing at all. yet they still look tired.
- 4:36As you pass them, something unexpected happens. No words are exchanged.
- 4:43No signs. No arguments.
- 4:47Just brief moments of eye contact.
- 4:51And in those moments, you recognize something familiar.
- 4:57Not their opinions, not their history, not their mistakes.
- 5:04You recognize their humanity. And with each step forward, you feel something inside of you soften.
- 5:13The armor you didn't realize you were wearing begins to loosen.
- 5:17The tightness you've carried for the world All of its noise All of its conflict
- 5:24Its constant urgency Starts to release.
- 5:30Now imagine that this path stretches across the entire planet.
- 5:36It goes through cities, it goes across borders, over oceans,
- 5:43through deserts, and forests, and places most people will never see.
- 5:50And everywhere, everywhere people are walking.
- 5:56Not marching. Not fleeing. Just walking.
- 6:03There's no flags, no chance. No demands, no presence.
- 6:09As you continue, you notice something else. With every shared step,
- 6:14the space between people begins to change.
- 6:19It's not disappearing, but softening. Becoming less rigid. less sharp.
- 6:27You realize peace isn't something being declared here. It's something being practiced.
- 6:35Quietly, individually, and together.
- 6:42Now bring your awareness gently back to your breath.
- 6:47Each inhale carries the weight of the world. Each exhale releases just a little of it.
- 6:56You don't have to solve everything. You do not have to fix anyone.
- 7:03You don't even have to agree.
- 7:06All that's asked of you in this moment is to remain open.
- 7:14As you walk, imagine your heart is a small light. It's not blinding Not dramatic Just steady.
- 7:25With every step that light grows, not because you force it to,
- 7:30but because you allow it to.
- 7:34And here's the quiet truth. That light does not belong only to you.
- 7:41It's reflected in every person that you pass.
- 7:46Some lights are dim, some are flickering, and some are hidden behind pain or anger or even fear.
- 7:55But they are there, every single one.
- 8:01World peace does not arrive at once.
- 8:06It arrives in moments like this, in pauses, in choices,
- 8:14in the decision to see before judging, to listen before reacting,
- 8:20to breathe before responding.
- 8:25As the path continues, notice how you feel now compared to when you began.
- 8:31Maybe lighter, calmer, simply more aware.
- 8:38But know this. Every peaceful thought you hold, every compassionate breath you take,
- 8:47every moment you choose presence over conflict, it matters.
- 8:56Even when the world feels loud, even when it feels broken, even when it feels
- 9:03beyond repair, this walk continues, and you are part of it.
- 9:11Now slowly begin to bring your awareness back to where you are.
- 9:17Feel the surface beneath you. Feel the air around you.
- 9:24Feel the quiet strength in your breath.
- 9:28Carry this walk with you. Into your words, into your actions,
- 9:35into the spaces where peace feels hardest to reach.
- 9:40Because peace does not begin with nations. It begins with people and it begins with you.
- 9:48When you're ready, gently open your eyes. The walk continues.
- 9:55Again, my name is Gary Dean with High Opener Society.
