- 0:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. Boys and girls, it's your favorite time
- 0:05Speaker 1: of week. Down love the crazy sheets. You get you
- 0:07Speaker 1: some cold drink. You go for a walk, go for
- 0:09Speaker 1: a drive, just sit back and enjoy some talk from
- 0:12Speaker 1: college football. I'm marking. I'm here in the podcasting studio, Scott.
- 0:15Speaker 1: He's at home, brother, How the hell are you well?
- 0:17Speaker 2: I'm better now that I am home.
- 0:20Speaker 3: We're a little late recording this because I had a
- 0:22Speaker 3: shit show travel day yesterday. I made it home a
- 0:26Speaker 3: full twelve hours after I was supposed to, so long day.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Did you feel like Delaware State trying to get to Hawaii?
- 0:35Speaker 3: I really did. It was it was about that, I
- 0:38Speaker 3: mean it really was. They we boarded a plane, got
- 0:42Speaker 3: on it, and then it was quote taken out of
- 0:44Speaker 3: service for whatever that means. That was all the detail
- 0:47Speaker 3: we got, so evidently they were having to fly parts
- 0:50Speaker 3: in to fix it. Fortunately I got on another flight,
- 0:55Speaker 3: but it was a full fiasco for a travel day.
- 0:58Speaker 3: That is why travel today sucks. Back in the day,
- 1:03Speaker 3: it used to be fun. It is not fun today.
- 1:06Speaker 1: It's it's pretty terrible these days. Anyway, Scott, good week
- 1:09Speaker 1: last week, man, I had a lot of fun. I
- 1:11Speaker 1: got to sit down and buckle in and watch four
- 1:15Speaker 1: games rolling most of the day, watched pretty much the
- 1:18Speaker 1: entire slate, like into the night games there. And I'm
- 1:22Speaker 1: going to say this before we dive into individual games.
- 1:25Speaker 1: With everything going on in college football that is related
- 1:28Speaker 1: to the portal and increased scholarships, the playoffs, everything, I
- 1:34Speaker 1: want to say this, the product on the field is
- 1:37Speaker 1: really good in most cases. I mean, there's always still
- 1:40Speaker 1: some bad programs, but I feel like the product on
- 1:43Speaker 1: the field that we're seeing weekend week outs pretty solid.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I disagree with you, I think I think the high
- 1:51Speaker 3: end is not nearly as good as it's been. I
- 1:54Speaker 3: think the bottom end is better than it's been. I
- 1:59Speaker 3: am fascinating what I think is going on in college football.
- 2:03Speaker 3: There really is a feel of some of these teams
- 2:07Speaker 3: are mailing it in. You got a lot of me,
- 2:09Speaker 3: me me with this money. They are more worried about
- 2:12Speaker 3: the name on the back of the jersey than the front.
- 2:14Speaker 3: And then you've got some teams out there that are
- 2:17Speaker 3: just playing balls to the wall. They don't have a
- 2:19Speaker 3: bunch of money. It's old school football, and I ain't
- 2:22Speaker 3: some of those teams. You've got an advantage over a
- 2:24Speaker 3: lot of these teams that are spending a ton of
- 2:26Speaker 3: money in the portal, and it is fascinating because you
- 2:30Speaker 3: look at Old Miss and they're playing great football. They
- 2:33Speaker 3: look outstanding. They're the exact opposite of exactly what I'm
- 2:37Speaker 3: telling you to bring in guys in that faced any adversity.
- 2:41Speaker 3: I'm talking about the teams that are facing adversity. Man,
- 2:45Speaker 3: it just looks like they're not nearly as good. But
- 2:47Speaker 3: the depth at Bama, the depth at Georgia, the schools
- 2:50Speaker 3: like that, you can tell a difference. It's just not
- 2:53Speaker 3: as good as it's been. And I think where you're
- 2:55Speaker 3: really seeing it is some of these mid level schools
- 2:58Speaker 3: in the big conferences that have a lot of money.
- 3:02Speaker 3: It does not feel to me like it's quite as
- 3:05Speaker 3: good as it's been. They just don't look crisp. It
- 3:07Speaker 3: looks like candidly. I have watched some games and I
- 3:10Speaker 3: felt like dudes have just flat ass mailed it in
- 3:13Speaker 3: a couple of times. And it is fascinating to me.
- 3:16Speaker 3: As far as the watch of the games, I think
- 3:20Speaker 3: they're great. I think it's great watching. I'm not saying
- 3:23Speaker 3: any of this is I think some of it's bad.
- 3:25Speaker 3: For college football. But I'm saying as a whole, I
- 3:27Speaker 3: don't think it's bad for college football. I do believe
- 3:30Speaker 3: for the first time in a long time, you may
- 3:32Speaker 3: see seven or eight win the Natty. I mean, you
- 3:36Speaker 3: tell me watching the volunteers that they ain't got a
- 3:39Speaker 3: shot to win it.
- 3:40Speaker 2: That seems good.
- 3:41Speaker 3: They called the dogs off of Norman, and make no mistake,
- 3:45Speaker 3: he had no desire to drill them. And then Oklahoma
- 3:48Speaker 3: made a switch at quarterback and that kid kind of
- 3:50Speaker 3: got settled in, made a couple of big plays. Let's
- 3:53Speaker 3: not over complicate. He had one really big play after
- 3:56Speaker 3: Tennessee chose to kick a field gold instead of go
- 3:58Speaker 3: forward on fourth and one that made that score look
- 4:01Speaker 3: closer than it really was. Tennessee kicked the shit out
- 4:03Speaker 3: of them the whole game.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Tennessee I thought was very smart and how
- 4:08Speaker 1: they played that because they realized that Oklahoma couldn't stop
- 4:11Speaker 1: them and that front seven from Tennessee was causing problems,
- 4:15Speaker 1: and so they took the air out of the ball.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I don't think some of the speculation of Hypeel getting
- 4:19Speaker 1: fired and they wanted to run it up. I didn't
- 4:21Speaker 1: see any of that in the game. Hypool was there
- 4:24Speaker 1: to win the game and move on and that was it.
- 4:26Speaker 1: But yeah, this Tennessee team is really talented. I think
- 4:29Speaker 1: what the two things I'm going to point out on
- 4:31Speaker 1: these two SEC teams that you make mentioned to I
- 4:35Speaker 1: don't think a lot of people want to talk had
- 4:37Speaker 1: talked about because you know, offense sales tickets is the
- 4:40Speaker 1: defense on both of these teams is not going to
- 4:43Speaker 1: be a liability for both of these teams as they
- 4:45Speaker 1: get into the stretch and the meat of their play.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Both of these teams, Tennessee and Ole Miss are strong
- 4:50Speaker 1: in the front seven and that's not something that we've seen.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I mean, we haven't seen an Old Miss defense play
- 4:56Speaker 1: this well since Robert Kendie j back when they were
- 5:00Speaker 1: one and two in Mississippi State and they had that
- 5:03Speaker 1: D line that's back there. And so this is a
- 5:05Speaker 1: really talented team. I'm interested to see as they progressed through.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I mean, next week, they've got uh Kentucky this week,
- 5:12Speaker 1: They've got LSU next week, and so interested to see that.
- 5:17Speaker 1: The Big ten to me, now that you're starting to
- 5:19Speaker 1: get the full conference swing is interesting and what's going
- 5:23Speaker 1: on from there. You've got USC that should have won
- 5:27Speaker 1: the game against Michigan.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Still can't stop the Dan run when it matters. They
- 5:31Speaker 3: still can't stop the run and barracks Alexander now is
- 5:34Speaker 3: evidently going in the portal.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Did even play last week.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I don't know if he did or not, but what
- 5:40Speaker 1: God was the Michigan had three big plays and that
- 5:44Speaker 1: was the big difference in the game. He backed those
- 5:47Speaker 1: out in USC probably wins that game. And there's a
- 5:50Speaker 1: whole different light on this program now. Everybody looks at
- 5:52Speaker 1: it like a USC soft again. I disagree. I think
- 5:56Speaker 1: you have see is solid as a rock. I think
- 5:59Speaker 1: they're gonna have Wisconsin. Wisconsin's got a problem. I think
- 6:03Speaker 1: Phil Longo is all his way out the door. Got
- 6:05Speaker 1: a backup quarterback going this week. If they've got to
- 6:07Speaker 1: get to QB three, it's a true freshmen. They're in trouble.
- 6:11Speaker 1: They haven't been able to generate any any type of
- 6:15Speaker 1: offense on what you would get from those types of programs.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And so yeah, I'm we're getting in the conference play.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I'm excited. I think there's some really good teams that
- 6:23Speaker 1: we're about to get to watch.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I agree with you.
- 6:25Speaker 3: I'm going to talk about a couple that aren't your
- 6:28Speaker 3: Baylor Bears blowing that game. It's just a complete tragedy.
- 6:33Speaker 3: I mean, how in the hell did you see the
- 6:36Speaker 3: defense they lined up on on that and they took
- 6:40Speaker 3: the bait. They weren't gonna throw one on one, but okay,
- 6:43Speaker 3: put two dudes over there. You got a guy facing
- 6:46Speaker 3: the quarterback. If you put one of the safeties, there
- 6:48Speaker 3: are two safeties. We're all the back line of the
- 6:51Speaker 3: end zone in the middle.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Of the field. The hell you think it's gonna throw
- 6:55Speaker 2: it there?
- 6:56Speaker 3: I mean, that was awful. I mean just awful. They
- 7:00Speaker 3: were still probably gonna win the game if they don't fumble.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Kudos to Travis Hunter. I don't know how many big
- 7:04Speaker 3: plays that guy's got to make all over the football
- 7:06Speaker 3: field before people will actually nominate him for the Heisman
- 7:09Speaker 3: and stop penalizing his team and put on and look
- 7:12Speaker 3: at it with two eyes and realize that that guy's
- 7:15Speaker 3: as talented as anybody in college football. And if he's
- 7:17Speaker 3: not on the I want to go so far as
- 7:20Speaker 3: the podium because it is a very much a team game.
- 7:22Speaker 3: But that dude ain't one of the finalists, then every
- 7:25Speaker 3: jackass voting for the Heisman needs to lose their vote.
- 7:28Speaker 3: That guy is one of the best players in the country.
- 7:31Speaker 4: He's incredible. I mean, he was all over the field
- 7:34Speaker 4: last we all off. It's all over field every week.
- 7:36Speaker 4: I mean, it's just he's just it's play after playing.
- 7:38Speaker 4: It's not only as we saw on the hell Mary.
- 7:41Speaker 4: It's not only the plays he makes. It's that you've
- 7:43Speaker 4: got a game plan for the guy and other guys
- 7:47Speaker 4: make plays. I mean that hell Mary works because they
- 7:50Speaker 4: stuck him over on the single side by himself, and
- 7:53Speaker 4: Baylor took the bait exact kudos to kudos Colorado.
- 7:58Speaker 2: You know, great, great play.
- 7:59Speaker 3: But I also want to talk about how bad LSU is.
- 8:04Speaker 3: All of that is a bad football team, and now
- 8:06Speaker 3: Perkins is gone for the year.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Man.
- 8:10Speaker 2: No, I am stunned. Kelly's this bad.
- 8:13Speaker 3: I mean, they finally found a freshman running back, but
- 8:16Speaker 3: how do they only got one? It's LSU, for goodness sakes.
- 8:20Speaker 3: It's like saying I can't find a wide receiver in Louisiana.
- 8:24Speaker 3: I mean, I just do not understand. I just gotta
- 8:28Speaker 3: be that Kelly is just such a bad fit. They
- 8:30Speaker 3: don't look good. I thought the Utah Oklahoma State game,
- 8:33Speaker 3: talking about great, great games, well played game, but Utah
- 8:37Speaker 3: was exactly who I thought they were that season, team
- 8:41Speaker 3: that was ready for that ball game. Really really liked
- 8:46Speaker 3: the outcome of that game. Talking about teams with problems,
- 8:49Speaker 3: how about NC State gas can for Clemson, I mean,
- 8:55Speaker 3: have they gotten their mad on since Georgia just demolished them,
- 8:58Speaker 3: embarrassed them? Thoughtout answer in the bell says a lot
- 9:01Speaker 3: about Jim Bow and those kids on that football team.
- 9:03Speaker 3: If you asked me, they have answered the bill. And
- 9:06Speaker 3: I know they've not played a team remotely as good
- 9:08Speaker 3: as Georgia, but they have put wood to everybody else
- 9:12Speaker 3: they've played. They have answered the bill from after getting
- 9:14Speaker 3: punched in a mouth. So, by the way, one of
- 9:17Speaker 3: our losses was old missing the first half because Kiffin
- 9:20Speaker 3: didn't take the two field goals. If you didn't turn
- 9:23Speaker 3: around and bet them again in the second half, you
- 9:26Speaker 3: need to a follow me on Twitter, and b you
- 9:29Speaker 3: need to not be a moron. You knew Kiffen was
- 9:32Speaker 3: going to play those starters, and he did until midway
- 9:34Speaker 3: through the fourth quarter because he was pissed. I'm telling you,
- 9:37Speaker 3: Kiffen knows his teams are betting and kudos to him.
- 9:40Speaker 3: His fans are betting, I said teams, his fans are betting,
- 9:43Speaker 3: and kudos to him. He cares about covering.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I think Kiffin's done a really good job with
- 9:50Speaker 1: this team. And you everybody talked about going to Florida.
- 9:52Speaker 1: We talked about that a little bit last week. I
- 9:54Speaker 1: think last week and the rest of the seasons kind
- 9:56Speaker 1: of I wanted to do that. I don't think it's
- 9:57Speaker 1: an audition for him. I think it's like, hey, we
- 9:59Speaker 1: can build something here, and you know, you keep throwing
- 10:03Speaker 1: the money at us, we can keep recruiting. He's got
- 10:05Speaker 1: to be one of the better talent evaluators in the
- 10:07Speaker 1: game today as far as like pulling people out of
- 10:09Speaker 1: the portal. Thank you, Mark, And that's he's got a
- 10:13Speaker 1: really good job.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Zero out about us.
- 10:15Speaker 3: What I keep telling everybody doesn't matter how much money
- 10:17Speaker 3: can't evaluate talent. I mean everybody, look, Ohio State can
- 10:21Speaker 3: go get dudes, because when they're like the running back
- 10:25Speaker 3: they brought in from Ole Miss. Speaking of old Miss,
- 10:27Speaker 3: I mean, you bring in Judkins, it ain't hard to
- 10:29Speaker 3: know that guy's good. You know, that doesn't take a
- 10:32Speaker 3: rocket scientist for three, you know, for two years. He's,
- 10:35Speaker 3: if not the best, certainly one of the best two
- 10:37Speaker 3: or three running backs in the SEC. Hey hard to
- 10:39Speaker 3: figure out that guy play. You don't have to be
- 10:41Speaker 3: a great talent evaluator. Kiffin's going to sign a guys
- 10:44Speaker 3: that really a bunch of other dudes don't want. And
- 10:47Speaker 3: it isn't like he's just throwing countless dollars at these
- 10:50Speaker 3: guys to get them. He is doing a better job
- 10:53Speaker 3: talent evaluating. And you've got schools out there that I
- 10:56Speaker 3: think are just doing a really poor job on talent
- 10:59Speaker 3: evaluation or they're forced just to take them.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Money doesn't fix everything. It doesn't.
- 11:05Speaker 3: It doesn't just assume that you're going to be a
- 11:07Speaker 3: great team if you can't identify talent. Could not agree
- 11:11Speaker 3: more that Kiffin is going and and doing a better
- 11:15Speaker 3: job of identifying the players that fit his system better
- 11:20Speaker 3: than I think a lot of other coaches in college football.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Rebels are for real. If you haven't watched them, you
- 11:25Speaker 3: need to. You're gonna get a chance to over the
- 11:27Speaker 3: next couple of weeks. They don't play a very tough schedule.
- 11:30Speaker 3: I mean their toughest road games next week at Baton Rouge.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Rebel's got a real chance to go undefeated. I mean
- 11:37Speaker 3: a real one.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't disagree with you. You got anything else from
- 11:42Speaker 1: last week. I've kind of one more thing we'll point out.
- 11:44Speaker 1: If you haven't heard about it, you will. Matthew Seluka,
- 11:47Speaker 1: quarterback at UNLV running that go go offense, decided to
- 11:50Speaker 1: opt out in red shirt, which I thought was kind
- 11:53Speaker 1: of interesting. He transferred in from Holy Cross, played pretty
- 11:57Speaker 1: well last three games. That game gets Kansas from very
- 12:00Speaker 1: fortuitous several fumbles in that game that should have gone
- 12:03Speaker 1: the other direction, but they, you know, UNLB pulled it out.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I love what unlb's doing. Barry Odams did a fantastic job.
- 12:10Speaker 1: They bring in now the quarterback. I forget the kid's name.
- 12:13Speaker 1: He's a three namer, but he played for the Campbell
- 12:15Speaker 1: Campbells last season. Similar to Seluca, he might be able
- 12:20Speaker 1: to throw it a little bit better. But the interesting
- 12:22Speaker 1: thing about me is when this news came out, the
- 12:24Speaker 1: line I didn't move a whole lot. And so you
- 12:27Speaker 1: know you're gonna probably get a landslide on Fresno State.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I think a lot of sharps are going to stay
- 12:31Speaker 1: on UNLV. I would steer away from the game because
- 12:35Speaker 1: you don't have a quarterback showing up. I think I
- 12:37Speaker 1: was gonna be on presno State going into this, and
- 12:40Speaker 1: it's kind of weird. The quarterback leading for UNLB in
- 12:42Speaker 1: the fact the line didn't shift a whole lot really
- 12:45Speaker 1: surprised me. And so I don't know what to do
- 12:49Speaker 1: on that one. But you see him opt out, and
- 12:51Speaker 1: then the running back opted out as well just last
- 12:54Speaker 1: night that says he wants to keep another year of eligibility.
- 12:57Speaker 3: So well, look, I can't I can't get past this
- 13:00Speaker 3: without commenting of that. You're seeing what is the worst
- 13:05Speaker 3: possible outcomes of of the portal and nil and all
- 13:08Speaker 3: of that that he said. She said, going back between
- 13:11Speaker 3: the staffs and the you know, because the head of
- 13:13Speaker 3: the collectives, like, we never offered that guy hundred grand
- 13:17Speaker 3: and it's like, I don't know where it was. And
- 13:18Speaker 3: now the dads, well it was an assistant coach. Well,
- 13:21Speaker 3: if you didn't get it in writing, then you're a
- 13:23Speaker 3: dumb ass, Like I know, states, we're going out contracts
- 13:26Speaker 3: and you know, essentially, here's what we're committing to do,
- 13:29Speaker 3: here's what you're committing to do, and if either party
- 13:32Speaker 3: doesn't live up to it, like you don't. You don't
- 13:34Speaker 3: keep getting paid if you hit the portal, you know,
- 13:38Speaker 3: and and and some of these guys think they're going
- 13:41Speaker 3: to oh, I got a contract, Well no, you you were.
- 13:44Speaker 2: You were being paid to play at X school. You're
- 13:48Speaker 2: not being paid to play. You're being paid to play
- 13:51Speaker 2: at X school.
- 13:52Speaker 3: So I think there's a lot of guys look at
- 13:55Speaker 3: that's on their representatives. I mean, allegedly he had an agent,
- 13:58Speaker 3: you know what, Fire his ass and get a good,
- 14:00Speaker 3: decent one. If you didn't think that, you if you
- 14:03Speaker 3: never had anything in writing and you were do this money,
- 14:06Speaker 3: well then that's on you. And flip side is if
- 14:09Speaker 3: they really thought they were going to get one hundred grand.
- 14:13Speaker 2: I mean that, you know that.
- 14:16Speaker 3: I'm telling you there's a lot of people that don't
- 14:17Speaker 3: realize how small the money is that's out there. Not
- 14:20Speaker 3: everybody's making not everybody's making huge money. The big schools
- 14:25Speaker 3: are paying big money, but a lot of the other
- 14:27Speaker 3: schools aren't paying very much at all, if any.
- 14:30Speaker 2: So it's a it's a it is a big difference.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Last thing I want to point out is this the
- 14:37Speaker 1: end for Mike Brown, because bro, you talk about getting
- 14:42Speaker 1: your ass kicked JMU last week, just absolutely put it
- 14:46Speaker 1: on North Carolina. This JMU program is done to hold
- 14:49Speaker 1: the job moving up for an FCSFPS level. I mean,
- 14:53Speaker 1: they hit the over by themselves in the first half.
- 14:56Speaker 1: How'd you like to be the guy that set that
- 14:57Speaker 1: number and have to show up meeting on Monday. It's like, okay, unpack,
- 15:01Speaker 1: how we thought it was going to be forty eight
- 15:03Speaker 1: and a half in a jam You scored fifty in
- 15:05Speaker 1: the first half.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Okay, Well that's like me saying Appy was gonna cover
- 15:10Speaker 3: seventeen and a half against Clemson.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Uh it was, so.
- 15:14Speaker 3: I know how the old boy feels. But the uh
- 15:18Speaker 3: who I think it's spells doom for. And I don't
- 15:21Speaker 3: think this is the case. I think is Jeff Collins.
- 15:25Speaker 1: They're deepen so bad.
- 15:26Speaker 2: It's bad.
- 15:27Speaker 3: But here's the thing, Mark, how many deep how many
- 15:29Speaker 3: DC's are going to stick a shitty defense out there
- 15:31Speaker 3: for mac Brown? It's what Mac Brown's doing clearly? Are
- 15:36Speaker 3: they not physical in practice? Are they not hitting? Are they?
- 15:39Speaker 2: Man?
- 15:40Speaker 3: I am telling you and I've I've watched it now.
- 15:43Speaker 3: At all levels of football, even getting down to the
- 15:48Speaker 3: middle school.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Level, the teams that are physical play.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Good defense, and the teams that aren't don't and you
- 15:53Speaker 3: get physical in practice, and it is clearly something that's
- 15:59Speaker 3: going on within the program, which again circles back to
- 16:03Speaker 3: if I'm Lane Kiffing, and I mean everybody that's listening
- 16:07Speaker 3: to this podcast knows I hate old miss, can't stand him.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Think he's doing a great job. Hope they fall on
- 16:13Speaker 3: their face. But at the end of the day, I
- 16:16Speaker 3: don't know if I'm Lane Kiffing, if I take that
- 16:17Speaker 3: Florida job, and I mean it, and I think Florida
- 16:20Speaker 3: has the potential to be a job, but only two
- 16:24Speaker 3: dudes have really won down there.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Ever.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Yeah, remember they had never won the Southeastern Conference. Legally
- 16:32Speaker 3: they want it once and were on probation and had
- 16:34Speaker 3: to vacate it under Galen Hall. But nobody had won
- 16:38Speaker 3: the Southeastern Conference except for Steve Spurrier and urban Meyer.
- 16:43Speaker 3: So I mean, that ain't a great program. You look
- 16:46Speaker 3: at what's gone on since urban Meyer left. Man, I
- 16:48Speaker 3: don't know if I get into that. So there's a
- 16:51Speaker 3: lot of that of that kind of thing going on
- 16:56Speaker 3: across the country. I think there's some changes that you
- 17:01Speaker 3: know that people think need to be made and may
- 17:04Speaker 3: not be made.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Oh. I agree with you, Scottie. You ready to move on.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Get some new games going this week, bro, I like
- 17:12Speaker 1: this board this week, got a little bit some matchups.
- 17:15Speaker 1: You got a big game Bama Georgia. We'll talk about that.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Got a big ten, big game in Illinois and Penn State.
- 17:21Speaker 1: So already, what's our record from last week? Where we
- 17:23Speaker 1: stand in the season.
- 17:24Speaker 3: We were eight and three last week and twenty That
- 17:28Speaker 3: takes us to twenty two and seventeen on the year.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Two and seventeen. I love it. One quick note I'm
- 17:35Speaker 1: gonna make. I don't know where this storm is going,
- 17:37Speaker 1: but if you'd like to play totals or games, you
- 17:39Speaker 1: may want to see how it's gonna affect you. Looks
- 17:41Speaker 1: like it's going to come up right through the panhandle
- 17:44Speaker 1: of Florida and then roll into the Midwest, so you
- 17:46Speaker 1: could get some weird wins somewhere around Kentucky, Tennessee, and
- 17:51Speaker 1: maybe I'll get into High Ohio. So that's my weather warning.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I had sucked balls at trying to predict games against
- 17:57Speaker 1: the weather my entire career of anticaping.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Yeah, which is one reason I'm not just completely one
- 18:03Speaker 3: hundred percent fired up on this Clemson line because I
- 18:05Speaker 3: think they're gonna get so much rain over the next
- 18:09Speaker 3: couple of days that it kind of scares me a
- 18:11Speaker 3: little bit.
- 18:13Speaker 1: First games got it. Tonight, Army's traveling to Philadelphia to
- 18:16Speaker 1: play Temple Lions twelve and a half over under forty six.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Army's the number two rushing team in the country, averaging
- 18:24Speaker 1: three hundred and fifty sixty yards per game. We've been
- 18:26Speaker 1: on this team most of the season. Kind of a
- 18:28Speaker 1: wagon for us in this spot. Temple finally, it looks
- 18:32Speaker 1: like landing on a quarterback that they've got from this standpoint,
- 18:34Speaker 1: and I'm actually seeing some touts out there that were
- 18:37Speaker 1: taking Temple at thirteen and a half when and line
- 18:39Speaker 1: creeped up that high and slipped it all the way
- 18:41Speaker 1: down to twelve and a half. So if you waited,
- 18:43Speaker 1: you got the best of it. I'm rolling with Army
- 18:46Speaker 1: here with the lean to the over is my play.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Army's physical defense and offense has been the mainstay for them.
- 18:53Speaker 1: I think they're still one of the better coach teams
- 18:55Speaker 1: in the country. And being able to run the rock man,
- 18:57Speaker 1: you just control the game, and I can eat see
- 19:00Speaker 1: Army putting up thirty five to forty points on their
- 19:03Speaker 1: own in this one. The Temple defense is not good,
- 19:05Speaker 1: and I think they're really going to struggle with this
- 19:08Speaker 1: Army rushing attack. Give me the Black Knights to stay undefeated,
- 19:11Speaker 1: cheering for Army in Wazoo to be that twelve team,
- 19:15Speaker 1: that number twelve team that makes it into that spot
- 19:17Speaker 1: for the college football playoffs.
- 19:19Speaker 3: I think Temple is and that's the reason this line
- 19:21Speaker 3: is moving against US. I think that Temple's settling on
- 19:24Speaker 3: a quarterback. I just don't think this team's any good.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Really really gets down to it for me. One thing
- 19:29Speaker 3: about Army. Those guys, you gotta love them. Man thirteen
- 19:33Speaker 3: for thirteen hundred percent in the red zone. They've only
- 19:36Speaker 3: had to kick one. They've only had to kick one
- 19:39Speaker 3: field goal. I mean they've they've scored fourteen touchdowns. This
- 19:44Speaker 3: is a team that is really, really consistent. And the
- 19:47Speaker 3: difference is they're not just having to run the football.
- 19:52Speaker 3: I mean that that is, they're able to throw the
- 19:55Speaker 3: football better than they have in the past, but they
- 19:58Speaker 3: are still averaging six points two eight yards only giving
- 20:02Speaker 3: up four yards of rush.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Uh.
- 20:04Speaker 3: They are able to control the football game, which is
- 20:08Speaker 3: a big, big difference. They they actually barely go up.
- 20:12Speaker 3: This is how much they run when they when they
- 20:14Speaker 3: go their average per play is barely up over where
- 20:18Speaker 3: they average running the ball six point sixty one versus
- 20:21Speaker 3: six point two eight. That is a that's a that's
- 20:24Speaker 3: a yostat right there that generally teams get a little
- 20:28Speaker 3: bit of uh get a little bit of bump. But
- 20:31Speaker 3: it's more of what I'm concerned about with Temple.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Uh.
- 20:34Speaker 3: I just don't know that they're going to be able
- 20:37Speaker 3: to slow this team down enough to cover this number.
- 20:41Speaker 3: They're giving up almost six yards of rush, which means
- 20:44Speaker 3: the Army is gonna be able to come in.
- 20:45Speaker 2: And do what they want to do. Uh.
- 20:48Speaker 3: And that is that's a big difference. This is a
- 20:51Speaker 3: team that is not as consistent.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Uh.
- 20:55Speaker 3: And and closing third down percentage is mad. They're they're
- 21:00Speaker 3: red zone percentage ninety percent. When you're this early in
- 21:04Speaker 3: the season that you want to see higher numbers than that.
- 21:07Speaker 3: So I really like Army here.
- 21:10Speaker 1: This is his Temple team already that's had to match
- 21:12Speaker 1: up against the Service Academy and Navy, who actually throws
- 21:15Speaker 1: the rock a little bit more now, And they lost
- 21:18Speaker 1: that game thirty eight to eleven to start the season.
- 21:20Speaker 1: I don't think Temple's improved that much, even with the
- 21:22Speaker 1: quarterback play. Give me the Black Knights minus Sad. I'm
- 21:25Speaker 1: also going to be playing on the over as we
- 21:27Speaker 1: record this. Both of these numbers have moved. Army Line
- 21:30Speaker 1: went from twelve and a half to thirteen and the
- 21:32Speaker 1: over unders slipped up to forty seven. That's pretty amazing.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Next two games, We've got Scottier Friday Night, Virginia Tech
- 21:39Speaker 1: travels down Too Cool Gables to play Miami. Line in
- 21:42Speaker 1: this one is nineteen over unders at fifty four. I
- 21:46Speaker 1: would lean I don't have a play in this one yet,
- 21:48Speaker 1: but I will probably if I do get involved. I'm
- 21:50Speaker 1: going to bet Miami. I will to admit when I'm wrong,
- 21:53Speaker 1: and I was dead wrong on Virginia Tech. I have
- 21:55Speaker 1: really high expectations for this team and thought it was
- 21:58Speaker 1: going to be much improved. And I kind of was
- 22:01Speaker 1: on Miami because I'm not a Marian christ ball guy.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Kind of wonder if he's gonna screw this thing up.
- 22:07Speaker 1: But if I'm gonna play it, I leave Miami. This
- 22:09Speaker 1: is a pretty good football team and Kim Orre's a
- 22:11Speaker 1: hell of a lot of fun to watch.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a lot of fun to watch. I think
- 22:14Speaker 3: he's a great part of this Martinez good back. Uh
- 22:17Speaker 3: really like this football team? Yes, I'm leaning Miami as well.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Uh a short week Canes look good. I just think
- 22:25Speaker 3: they're too much for this just just a way, just
- 22:29Speaker 3: way too much candidly for Virginia Tech Tech has not
- 22:33Speaker 3: looked good.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Boy. I missed on these guys.
- 22:35Speaker 3: I thought they were legitimately had a shot to play
- 22:37Speaker 3: in the ACC Championship and I was dead wrong.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Rutgers be is it home hosting the team that played
- 22:46Speaker 1: for the national championship last year in Washington and Rutgers
- 22:49Speaker 1: and they're fighting. Greg Cianos are laying two and a half.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Can we just give Greg Ciano a lifetime contract to
- 22:55Speaker 1: coach at Rutgers?
- 22:57Speaker 2: Yes, they need to.
- 22:58Speaker 1: What are we doing? Guys? Twice now has built this
- 23:02Speaker 1: program up, and what a heck of a job he's
- 23:05Speaker 1: done Athen caliak Man is if you haven't watched his
- 23:09Speaker 1: kid yet, Rutgers has got a pretty fierce rushing attack,
- 23:12Speaker 1: but caliac Man is a quarterback Trenschfrow from Minnesota last year,
- 23:15Speaker 1: He's pretty he can get it around his r pretty well.
- 23:18Speaker 1: But he's running his team to playing physical. They've got
- 23:20Speaker 1: a good defense along trip for Washington. I'm leaning Scarlet Knights,
- 23:24Speaker 1: but I haven't played.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I leaned Rutgers here too. I will get involved
- 23:29Speaker 3: in this game because I like Rutgers all season.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Uh.
- 23:32Speaker 3: This is a team fortunately that looks like I did
- 23:34Speaker 3: not miss on. I like Rutgers Washington. I think going
- 23:39Speaker 3: across the country really good defense for Rutgers. A physical
- 23:43Speaker 3: football game. I think got Leans towards Rutgers, and I
- 23:47Speaker 3: like him to cover the two and a half here.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Next time, we've got Scotty Nebraska and looking to bounce
- 23:53Speaker 1: back after that rough loss that they had to fight
- 23:56Speaker 1: Bert Bielama's last week. Bert's doing a good job at Illinois.
- 24:00Speaker 1: By the way, playing Purdue, Purdue's at home getting ten.
- 24:04Speaker 1: This is a strange line to me. Purdue was getting
- 24:08Speaker 1: ten when they played Notre Dame a couple of weeks ago.
- 24:10Speaker 1: That line got all of ten. It took a ton
- 24:12Speaker 1: of money, and then it just cratered game time when
- 24:15Speaker 1: everybody came back to their version. I never saw it.
- 24:17Speaker 1: This Purdue team is in ep They brought in a
- 24:20Speaker 1: coach from the MAC that was going to be their
- 24:22Speaker 1: defensive guy. So they went from a Jeff Brohm offensive
- 24:26Speaker 1: oriented system with hopes being at the explosive plays, so
- 24:32Speaker 1: on and so forth, to more of a defensive minded set.
- 24:35Speaker 1: They've struggled to find an offensive identity Nebraska. Coming off
- 24:39Speaker 1: of that loss, they're going on the road, true freshman
- 24:41Speaker 1: quarterback getting one of his first conference starts. I think
- 24:45Speaker 1: they beat the shit out of Purdue. I've got no
- 24:48Speaker 1: love for this Purdue team whatsoever. I think Nebraska gets
- 24:51Speaker 1: right and just absolutely pounds the squad.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Yeah, you talk about Walters the coach at Purdue, he
- 24:56Speaker 3: was the DC for Illinois. Twe they had some high
- 25:00Speaker 3: ranked guys. He was at Missouri before that, So yeah,
- 25:04Speaker 3: defensive minded guy. Total switch from what they brought over.
- 25:09Speaker 3: I just I like what Nebraska's got going. I think
- 25:13Speaker 3: they're a good football team. I think Rule is a really,
- 25:16Speaker 3: really good coach. That was a fabulous game with them
- 25:19Speaker 3: in Illinois last last week. I loved one of my
- 25:23Speaker 3: favorite games to watch. It was it had an old
- 25:25Speaker 3: school field and I loved watching the play. I think
- 25:29Speaker 3: Rule is great. I think he is going to fix Nebraska.
- 25:32Speaker 3: It just takes time. You don't make up for a
- 25:35Speaker 3: couple of decades of mad football, you know, and and
- 25:40Speaker 3: and do it in a year or two. And I
- 25:42Speaker 3: think he's doing it. Riola looks like he may be
- 25:45Speaker 3: the real deal long term. I mean he's he's playing
- 25:48Speaker 3: well as freshman. He's gonna make some mistakes before he
- 25:50Speaker 3: makes some places. Kid's got some swagger, and I think
- 25:53Speaker 3: that's a difference in the football game. I think that
- 25:56Speaker 3: kid is so cocky and so confident in himself. And
- 26:00Speaker 3: I don't mean that as a shot. I mean, look,
- 26:02Speaker 3: you want your quarterback to have some swagger. He needs
- 26:05Speaker 3: to believe he's the dude. And I think that's the difference.
- 26:09Speaker 3: I think they're going to roll in there some of
- 26:11Speaker 3: the are they Are they more confident than they are good?
- 26:15Speaker 3: Probably so, But I think they're enough better than this
- 26:19Speaker 3: Purdue football team to win this ball game by ten.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I'll roll with you, baby. I love it, Nebraska. It's
- 26:25Speaker 1: one of my bigger players the week. Are you playing
- 26:27Speaker 1: the Kentucky Old Miss? First half? As Old Miss is
- 26:30Speaker 1: at home? Lad's probably gonna be ten or twelve.
- 26:33Speaker 3: If I had to guess, yes, I don't know if
- 26:35Speaker 3: I'm gonna play first half, and I am probably going
- 26:38Speaker 3: to play the Rebels.
- 26:40Speaker 2: I'll go with a game time gut feel.
- 26:42Speaker 3: I just don't I don't know that Kentucky's gonna be
- 26:45Speaker 3: able to move a football on them. Uh, they are
- 26:47Speaker 3: getting lucky that this is an eleven o'clock game. I
- 26:50Speaker 3: saw a bunch of old miss fans getting pissed about
- 26:53Speaker 3: a Kentucky radio guy saying it was an eleven o'clock
- 26:56Speaker 3: game and they get to the game late. He had said,
- 26:59Speaker 3: damn thing that was wrong. Nothing the truth. I've been
- 27:03Speaker 3: been in that stadium many times. You want to be
- 27:05Speaker 3: up there early. They are in the grove till late.
- 27:08Speaker 3: You know, they hadn't had a chance to yeow it
- 27:10Speaker 3: up all day and drink out of their crystal and uh,
- 27:14Speaker 3: you know they want they want to toke it up
- 27:16Speaker 3: and roll in for a six o'clock game, But that
- 27:19Speaker 3: is not the case. I think the Rebels are gonna
- 27:21Speaker 3: pound them, though, because I just don't feel good. I
- 27:24Speaker 3: think this is gonna look like South Carolina game did,
- 27:26Speaker 3: maybe a little worse.
- 27:28Speaker 1: A Kansas State in the Kansas State Oklahoma State game.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Oklahoma State, to me, has not found an identity. They
- 27:34Speaker 1: can't run the ball with all those returning players. Oli Gordon.
- 27:38Speaker 1: That guy's on a milk cart. He hadn't seen him
- 27:40Speaker 1: this season. The Boeman's not doing anything. Kansas State, I
- 27:44Speaker 1: mean Avery Johnson still young, he's not an tobit. If
- 27:48Speaker 1: you go look at the box score that Kansas State
- 27:50Speaker 1: BYU game last Saturday night, and you realize the case
- 27:53Speaker 1: State absolutely dominated the box and just had some bad
- 27:56Speaker 1: turnovers and then you had some wild plays like that
- 28:00Speaker 1: PLNT returned that the kid and then ran it back
- 28:02Speaker 1: one hundred yards. Uh, And kudos to b why you
- 28:05Speaker 1: for getting it done. But I think that's a lot
- 28:07Speaker 1: of fugazy there. Baby going to Manhattan. Give me the
- 28:10Speaker 1: Purple Do, give me the Purple Wildcats, the Bill Snyders,
- 28:13Speaker 1: I love it.
- 28:13Speaker 3: The the Little Apple will be will be a tough
- 28:18Speaker 3: place to play. I don't disagree that. I think they
- 28:21Speaker 3: get a bounce back this weekend.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Uh. Let's see what else we got here. A couple
- 28:27Speaker 1: of other games. Illinois traveling too Happy Valley Saturday evening.
- 28:34Speaker 1: It's gonna be a whiteout game. I don't understand it's
- 28:38Speaker 1: an unofficial whiteout game. Something James Franklin for claim which
- 28:41Speaker 1: I think the white out games at Penn State are
- 28:43Speaker 1: fantastic environments. It seems like it is totally rocking in there.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Traveling up and this Penn State team is interesting. Unless
- 28:50Speaker 1: you really are a football fan, you may not really
- 28:52Speaker 1: watched them play yet. You back on a glimpse of
- 28:54Speaker 1: them when they played against Bowling Green, and Bowling Green
- 28:56Speaker 1: hung around in that one. But I'm going to Illinois here.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Plus A, I think that's too many points. Got a
- 29:02Speaker 1: couple of facts. Number one is I really like the
- 29:04Speaker 1: fact that Illinois plays a lot of man defense in
- 29:06Speaker 1: the back. I think that's gonna Drew Ailers is gonna
- 29:09Speaker 1: get tested. He hasn't seen mand yet as much of
- 29:13Speaker 1: it he's gonna see in this game here. Illinois front
- 29:16Speaker 1: seven will be able to put some pressure on that
- 29:18Speaker 1: Penn State line. Penn State's got two of the best
- 29:20Speaker 1: running backs in the country. Both of those guys are
- 29:23Speaker 1: probably gonna end up playing on Sunday, and so I
- 29:25Speaker 1: do think they're gonna have to rely on some ground
- 29:27Speaker 1: and pounds. Singleton, if he puts his foot in the dirt, goes.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I mean, he's an animal man. That guy's incredible. But
- 29:34Speaker 1: the other thing I like against it is. I really
- 29:36Speaker 1: like the offensive coordinator of Penn State, Andy Koliniki, who
- 29:39Speaker 1: moved over from Kansas, and what have we seen. We've
- 29:42Speaker 1: seen that Kansas offense kind of fall off a little
- 29:45Speaker 1: bit as Penn States has improved. But at the same time,
- 29:48Speaker 1: Illinois played Kansas last year and actually beat Koliniki, so
- 29:53Speaker 1: they know what kind of system that they're dealing with here.
- 29:56Speaker 1: It's not their first time to get it. Give me
- 29:58Speaker 1: the fighting Burt Biela's plus eight team, baby, I think
- 30:00Speaker 1: they stay in this one a little bit more than
- 30:02Speaker 1: people think think.
- 30:03Speaker 2: I think Burt does. Did you see what he said
- 30:06Speaker 2: about the about.
- 30:07Speaker 3: The white out or he was he kind of and
- 30:10Speaker 3: I think it's ticked off Penn State fans, which I
- 30:13Speaker 3: think is hilarious because it says two things. It says
- 30:16Speaker 3: he's got some confidence going into this ballgame. But he
- 30:19Speaker 3: basically was like, well, I mean there's a white out
- 30:22Speaker 3: as a blue out.
- 30:24Speaker 2: I mean they're gonna have on shirts. It was hilarious.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I mean he was just totally blowing off that Beaver
- 30:32Speaker 3: Stadium is allowed is allowed place, just like mah, you know,
- 30:36Speaker 3: I mean it was I mean, it was classic Burt
- 30:40Speaker 3: I mean just it sounded just like him, just h
- 30:42Speaker 3: you know, but it says he's got a little bit
- 30:44Speaker 3: of confidence in this ballgame. Look, Penn State last year, now,
- 30:48Speaker 3: if they were at they were at Illinois obviously, but
- 30:52Speaker 3: why by seventeen in this game last year? Illinois is
- 30:55Speaker 3: not nearly as good as they are this year. This
- 30:57Speaker 3: to me is about this Illinois defense. I think they're
- 31:00Speaker 3: going to be able to keep this ball game close
- 31:02Speaker 3: because at the end of the day, they still meaning
- 31:05Speaker 3: they Penn State still wants to run the football first.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Is the offense better, is it more explosive, explosive? One
- 31:12Speaker 3: hundred percent. Offensive coordinator change has been a great been
- 31:15Speaker 3: a great call for Penn State. They do look like
- 31:17Speaker 3: a better, more balanced team, but at the end of
- 31:20Speaker 3: the day, for all that to work, they got to
- 31:21Speaker 3: be able to run the football. It's really hard to
- 31:23Speaker 3: run the football on this team, as Nebraska found out.
- 31:27Speaker 3: It's tough to run the football on this team, and
- 31:29Speaker 3: defense travels, and I think that they're going to be
- 31:32Speaker 3: around it. Look, Altimyer's been pretty darn good for the
- 31:36Speaker 3: really good I thought he's I think he's having an
- 31:39Speaker 3: outstanding year for those guys. So you got an experienced quarterback,
- 31:43Speaker 3: You've got a good defense. This sets up for a
- 31:46Speaker 3: closer game. I think than the experts think Penn State
- 31:50Speaker 3: finds a way to win it. But I think it's
- 31:51Speaker 3: a close ball game. I think this maybe a single
- 31:53Speaker 3: digit ball game.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Let's travel out to Orlando Saturday. Colorado coming off of
- 31:59Speaker 1: that last second hell Mary win against Baylor again, just
- 32:04Speaker 1: terrible play by Baylor two plays in a row, as
- 32:06Speaker 1: a matter of fact. But this Colorado team, we talked
- 32:09Speaker 1: about this. You know, Colorado on their offense, they probably
- 32:12Speaker 1: have four to five NFL players should here. The three
- 32:16Speaker 1: wide receivers in that freshman tackle should all get in there.
- 32:20Speaker 1: You SEEUF on the other hand, number one rushing team
- 32:22Speaker 1: in the country. I was high on you, seef coming
- 32:25Speaker 1: into the season. I think they've got one of the
- 32:27Speaker 1: better running back rooms around. I also love kJ Jefferson
- 32:31Speaker 1: coming in here, and you know what, the gus busts
- 32:34Speaker 1: this guy going. Man, I think he's done a really
- 32:37Speaker 1: good job with this program, and I anticipate they're gonna
- 32:40Speaker 1: win this game. I'm gonna go with you over here
- 32:42Speaker 1: at sixty four and a half. And here's why I
- 32:44Speaker 1: don't think we're gonna get any weather. From what I
- 32:46Speaker 1: can tell, I think all that's got gonna be prove.
- 32:48Speaker 1: But UCF is gonna probably run for over three hundred
- 32:51Speaker 1: and fifty yards of this game. I look for some
- 32:53Speaker 1: big chunk plays that Colorado defense is still terrible, and
- 32:56Speaker 1: Colorado is only gonna throw the rock. I think the
- 32:59Speaker 1: back door can open all day long. At fourteen points,
- 33:02Speaker 1: but that's where I lean to the over. I can
- 33:04Speaker 1: easily see this game being forty five to thirty five,
- 33:07Speaker 1: and it's really never close. But Colorado is still hanging around.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I mean, we've seen that Colorado offense be up the
- 33:14Speaker 1: last couple of weeks, and they've still got ser you know,
- 33:17Speaker 1: out on the edge running away from traffic, trying to
- 33:21Speaker 1: complete a pass to Webstern, you know. And so I
- 33:25Speaker 1: think they're still going to be checking the rock all
- 33:27Speaker 1: the way through. Give me the over at sixty four
- 33:30Speaker 1: and a half. This game has been hit a couple
- 33:31Speaker 1: of times already, but I think it goes over the total.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't disagree with you here at all.
- 33:37Speaker 3: I mean, look, they are going to run the football,
- 33:39Speaker 3: as you see, if they.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Want to do it. They've already run for eleven hundred yards.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean they are putting it out there, maybe
- 33:46Speaker 3: six point eight three yards of carry. They got thirteen
- 33:50Speaker 3: touchdowns on the ground. This is a team that wants
- 33:53Speaker 3: to run the football. This is Gus Buss's kind of offense.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Multiple backs, a big quarterback, be able to run it
- 33:59Speaker 3: and throw enough to just open up the offense and
- 34:03Speaker 3: get some big plays. Flip the other way, I think
- 34:06Speaker 3: they can be had. On the defensive side of the football.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Where they're good is against the run. Why is that?
- 34:11Speaker 3: It's what they see in practice all day. Colorado can't
- 34:14Speaker 3: run it on anybody. They don't even try to run it.
- 34:16Speaker 3: They're gonna try to fling it all over the yard.
- 34:18Speaker 3: So I really really like the high scoring look to
- 34:22Speaker 3: this ball game. I think we may get some points.
- 34:25Speaker 3: I think UCF is going to light up the scoreboard
- 34:28Speaker 3: because I think this team is balanced enough that it
- 34:31Speaker 3: is going to give Colorado all kinds of problems.
- 34:34Speaker 2: But they've still got.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Really three really good wide receivers and a quarterback who
- 34:38Speaker 3: wants to sling it around, and I think they're going
- 34:40Speaker 3: to score some points. I like the overen this as well.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Gott it. Let's go to our lat game of the week,
- 34:46Speaker 1: Western Michigan's going to be traveling to Marshall. I don't
- 34:50Speaker 1: know if he's offering free biscuits to anybody that wants
- 34:52Speaker 1: to transfer from Western mish over to Marshall this week.
- 34:55Speaker 1: That's Charles Huff by the way to coaching Marshall. You
- 34:57Speaker 1: can see that clip for the out of state game.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Uh line here is three and a half, Marshall's favorite
- 35:04Speaker 1: at home over Unders at fifty four. Both of these
- 35:07Speaker 1: numbers are taking some money. If we want to invest
- 35:09Speaker 1: in the Mac, how are we going to do it?
- 35:11Speaker 2: Man?
- 35:11Speaker 3: I like Western miss I like them to win this
- 35:14Speaker 3: ball game three and a half because it's on the road,
- 35:17Speaker 3: uh and not the money line.
- 35:19Speaker 2: But I think they I think they got a legit shot.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Legit shot to win this ball game straight up will
- 35:24Speaker 3: surprise me none if they do.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Like Western Michigan, I ain't.
- 35:29Speaker 3: There are a couple of MAC teams flying under the radar,
- 35:31Speaker 3: Western Michigan being one. We talked about that in our
- 35:33Speaker 3: Mac preview. I ain't bowling Greens the other. I think
- 35:36Speaker 3: that team is significantly better than people. They've played a
- 35:39Speaker 3: really tough schedule, but close losses against big teams. You know,
- 35:44Speaker 3: they went down to A and M looked great last week,
- 35:46Speaker 3: so I like both of those teams. Almost took them
- 35:49Speaker 3: for the MAC play. But I like Western plus the
- 35:50Speaker 3: points at Marshall.
- 35:52Speaker 1: I agree with you. I'm interested in this one I like,
- 35:55Speaker 1: but I do like some of the excuse me Mac play.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to the season getting rolling here a
- 35:59Speaker 1: couple of weeks, when we get that Tuesday Wednesday evenings
- 36:03Speaker 1: in the Maxley, I think there's some better teams that
- 36:05Speaker 1: we may have anticipated. While we're talking about it, let's
- 36:07Speaker 1: put it out their sky Texas long Worms will be
- 36:10Speaker 1: playing in your Mississippi State ship Dogs somehow we have
- 36:14Speaker 1: to talk about them every week. How do we make
- 36:16Speaker 1: money on for the ship Dogs this city?
- 36:18Speaker 2: But do you just bet against them? No matter how
- 36:20Speaker 2: you bet.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Against them, they are the worst team in the Southeastern
- 36:25Speaker 3: Conference and they may be the worst power for a
- 36:27Speaker 3: team in the country.
- 36:29Speaker 2: They're terrible. That defense sucks.
- 36:32Speaker 3: I mean, it is awful, but let me tell you
- 36:34Speaker 3: that Florida defense ain't much better. If Mississippi State can
- 36:37Speaker 3: run for two, you're gonna get gas cand all week.
- 36:41Speaker 3: I'm telling you you gotta bet. Whether you like it.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Don't you gotta bet against Mississippi State every week. This
- 36:46Speaker 3: defense is terrible. Blake Shapen's out for the year. They'll
- 36:49Speaker 3: be starting a true freshman.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Uh.
- 36:51Speaker 3: It is just a full on hot mess in bulldog Land.
- 36:56Speaker 3: And this is not against Levy. I still think Levy's
- 36:59Speaker 3: pro the right guy for the job. This program is
- 37:02Speaker 3: a mess. It's been a mess. Texas is gonna beat
- 37:04Speaker 3: these guys as bad as they want to beat them.
- 37:09Speaker 2: That's the bottom line. Do they want to beat them
- 37:11Speaker 2: by fifty, they'll beat them by fifty.
- 37:13Speaker 3: If they want to beat them by thirty eight, they'll
- 37:15Speaker 3: beat them by thirty eight.
- 37:16Speaker 2: I know that.
- 37:16Speaker 3: I think the final line is thirty eight and a half.
- 37:18Speaker 3: But the way to do it's take twenty three and
- 37:20Speaker 3: a half in the first half. Bet the breaks off
- 37:23Speaker 3: of it. Texas gonna kill these guys. State can't stop
- 37:26Speaker 3: the run at all and they can't cover any better.
- 37:29Speaker 3: This defense is awful. Anybody decent is gonna score on them.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Take plays at Georgia next week. They're about to get
- 37:35Speaker 3: gas Can two weeks in a row, but not nearly
- 37:38Speaker 3: as bad next week as they're gonna get gas Can
- 37:40Speaker 3: this week.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Next game and I want to travel to Dallas. Buddy of
- 37:45Speaker 1: mine's actually headed to this game is Sends being recruited
- 37:48Speaker 1: by d send you to possibly kick, And I thought,
- 37:51Speaker 1: how awesome is it that you're gonna get the first
- 37:53Speaker 1: time Florida State comes to town to play the Ponies.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Ponies coming off of a huge win last week over
- 37:59Speaker 1: to their rival TCU. They came out hot as a pistol,
- 38:04Speaker 1: kind of like James Madison did, and we're just boat
- 38:07Speaker 1: racing a TCU team that I honestly don't think is
- 38:10Speaker 1: very good. Sunny Dyke's got injected to start the second half.
- 38:14Speaker 1: I haven't seen a head coach get ejected maybe in
- 38:16Speaker 1: my life. I thought that was kind of weird. And
- 38:18Speaker 1: then TCU just kind of kept scoring, but they were
- 38:20Speaker 1: down by twenty and they couldn't get back into it.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Florida State comes in here after getting their first win
- 38:26Speaker 1: of the season, rolls into Dallas. At this point, I
- 38:30Speaker 1: think it's good that they're getting away from home line
- 38:33Speaker 1: here six and a half. Give me the knowles, baby,
- 38:37Speaker 1: I know this team is owing one in three. This
- 38:40Speaker 1: roster is not that bad. I don't have any love
- 38:44Speaker 1: for Sibu in this spot. This team was a letdown
- 38:46Speaker 1: for me. I just think they got hot when they
- 38:48Speaker 1: needed it last week, caught that one right, and now
- 38:51Speaker 1: they're about to play a Florida State team that out
- 38:53Speaker 1: matches them across the board. Give me the knowles plus
- 38:56Speaker 1: six and a half and I'll let you a little secret.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Might sprinkle it on that money line at plus one ninety.
- 39:01Speaker 3: Yeah, wrong teams favored in this ball game. Just throw
- 39:05Speaker 3: the records out. Look at the talent on the on
- 39:07Speaker 3: the field, the defense. This is significantly the most talented
- 39:12Speaker 3: and best defense that SMU's played. And they've had some
- 39:16Speaker 3: trouble scoring other teams, TCUs not even trying to play defense.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Hell, they're sleepwalking.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Yes, there's major problems in Fort Worth, but I just
- 39:26Speaker 3: think Florida State's the better football team.
- 39:28Speaker 2: I mean, I look at this roster.
- 39:29Speaker 3: I think this defense is gonna give SMU all kinds
- 39:32Speaker 3: of problems. You know, Ugo Ale's not a guy who's
- 39:35Speaker 3: gonna go win a game. He's the guy you need
- 39:37Speaker 3: to not lose it. And I think that this defense
- 39:40Speaker 3: is gonna let them do this weekend. I think wrong
- 39:42Speaker 3: team's favored. I like FSU a lot here.
- 39:47Speaker 1: This is a weird line to me, and everybody's taking
- 39:49Speaker 1: SMU and so I love the fact that I want
- 39:52Speaker 1: Florida State. This is gonna be gross. I'm excited next
- 39:56Speaker 1: to Scottie Let's travel to Red stick By told Ruse,
- 40:00Speaker 1: you pertually said that Olabama's coming in here. We've kind
- 40:03Speaker 1: of been around this team a little bit this season,
- 40:05Speaker 1: played them in they over in that one game and
- 40:07Speaker 1: then go Lopez didn't play. This team pounded Apple at
- 40:11Speaker 1: State a couple of weeks ago, and so if you
- 40:13Speaker 1: look at their last week, I guess they're two weeks ago.
- 40:16Speaker 1: But yeah, if you look at this team, they've got
- 40:17Speaker 1: a little extra rest coming into this game because they
- 40:19Speaker 1: had a weekday game UCLA or LSU's coming off of
- 40:23Speaker 1: that UCLA game last week where I was kind of
- 40:25Speaker 1: surprised that they just didn't They weren't able to pull
- 40:27Speaker 1: that one away. Ucla played much better than I thought.
- 40:30Speaker 1: But I like this South Alabama team. You're getting twenty
- 40:33Speaker 1: two back door is going to be open all day.
- 40:36Speaker 1: This LSU defense has not proven that they can step
- 40:39Speaker 1: up and get it done. They're giving up twenty four
- 40:42Speaker 1: and a half points a game, but they're really been
- 40:44Speaker 1: shitty in the back end of this thing. Still kind
- 40:46Speaker 1: of young, but LSU all has a little bit of
- 40:49Speaker 1: a look ahead spot because they've got Old Miss coming
- 40:52Speaker 1: next week and I just can't see them putting a
- 40:54Speaker 1: whole lot of effort into the South Alabama team. I
- 40:57Speaker 1: think South Alabama with this door opening twenty one and
- 41:00Speaker 1: a half night game, yeah it's gonna be rowdy, But
- 41:04Speaker 1: I don't know, man, I'm getting South Alabama give me
- 41:07Speaker 1: the Jaguires plus twenty two to stay within it with
- 41:10Speaker 1: it from the ELSs.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Just got back door cover written all over it. But
- 41:15Speaker 3: I look, man, Perkins being out for LSU is a
- 41:19Speaker 3: big deal. Now he had he made any plays, hell no,
- 41:22Speaker 3: because they couldn't use him. But at the end of
- 41:25Speaker 3: the day, I think this team is floundering in Baton Rouge.
- 41:30Speaker 2: They're looking for an identity.
- 41:33Speaker 3: Their offense, while talented, is it's just not clicking for
- 41:38Speaker 3: whatever reason. It just they go through periods where they
- 41:40Speaker 3: look great, and then they go through periods every game
- 41:43Speaker 3: where they are an ept. I mean, they just can't
- 41:45Speaker 3: get out of their own way. So I think I
- 41:48Speaker 3: think you're gonna get a team in South Alabama who's
- 41:51Speaker 3: just gonna keep firing, keep trying to score, keep trying
- 41:53Speaker 3: to score, keep trying to score, keep trying to score.
- 41:55Speaker 3: And I think backdoor is absolutely the play mark. This
- 41:59Speaker 3: team eerily similar for LSU to that Edwars Iran team
- 42:06Speaker 3: that lost to Troy at home. They they just wandered about.
- 42:12Speaker 3: That fan base is mad. They weren't fired up. I mean, hell,
- 42:16Speaker 3: they coming out of halftime last week, one side of
- 42:21Speaker 3: the stadium that was facing the sun. These team come back,
- 42:24Speaker 3: They're like, Nah, let's go to the tailgate. I mean
- 42:27Speaker 3: they CISU. The fan base doesn't care. They're not into it,
- 42:31Speaker 3: they're not excited. I think they're disappointed with where they
- 42:34Speaker 3: are because they think they ought to be competing for
- 42:37Speaker 3: playoff spots and.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Things, and this team's not there. That's not who this
- 42:41Speaker 2: team is.
- 42:42Speaker 3: And I think the fan base is in and I
- 42:45Speaker 3: think South Alabama's gonna come in slinging the rock. I
- 42:49Speaker 3: love which if you have not seen this, I think
- 42:52Speaker 3: I mentioned this last week too, But the offensive coordinator
- 42:56Speaker 3: for South Alabama, you gotta go check him out there.
- 43:00Speaker 3: He's the guy that I can't remember the guys that
- 43:03Speaker 3: did the Sabing imitation in the locker room that went
- 43:06Speaker 3: viral a few years ago. That's exactly right. He's the
- 43:09Speaker 3: offensive coordinator. You gotta go get a video. Gotta go
- 43:12Speaker 3: watch that video if you haven't done it. But I
- 43:14Speaker 3: think they're gonna keep pounding, keep trying to sling the rock,
- 43:17Speaker 3: and uh, I think they get a cover here. I
- 43:20Speaker 3: don't think this is gonna end up as a Troy game.
- 43:23Speaker 3: But I'm telling you the apathy and baton rouge and
- 43:26Speaker 3: amongst that football team is eerily similar to that team.
- 43:32Speaker 1: It's a I can't figure this team out for the
- 43:35Speaker 1: life of me, and they've got some tough games coming
- 43:37Speaker 1: this team.
- 43:38Speaker 3: This team lost to South Carolina. It's not a loss
- 43:41Speaker 3: on paper. They lost that football game. It's the bottom line.
- 43:45Speaker 3: They lost that football game.
- 43:47Speaker 1: It's it's a what's the guy's name? I gotta look
- 43:51Speaker 1: him up. That's what you talked about him.
- 43:54Speaker 3: It is classic Yah, Robbie Zil that's right, right, Yeah,
- 43:59Speaker 3: that's right.
- 44:01Speaker 1: But anyway, South Alabama plus twenty two, I think you're
- 44:04Speaker 1: gonna I think that back doors open all day h
- 44:07Speaker 1: kind of one of my favorite plays, to be honest
- 44:09Speaker 1: with you, So I can get down with that one. Scotty.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Last game, I got on our board. Baba at Home
- 44:14Speaker 1: hosted a nugga coming in here. All you're gonna hear
- 44:18Speaker 1: on game day from the talking heads is that Baba
- 44:21Speaker 1: hasn't been an underdog at home and blah blah blah blah.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Blah since two thousand and eight.
- 44:26Speaker 1: There you go, and it was coming. So we'll talk
- 44:29Speaker 1: about that. A couple of things. I'm gonna point out.
- 44:31Speaker 1: I've going Bama plus two here. They put it on
- 44:33Speaker 1: the money line as well, probably will get that to
- 44:35Speaker 1: like plus one five plus one ten and we're there.
- 44:38Speaker 1: I like this. I like Jalen Milroe a lot, and
- 44:40Speaker 1: I've been pretty boisterous about saying I think that he's
- 44:44Speaker 1: gonna get better under the tutelage of Kailin de boor
- 44:47Speaker 1: if you watch Pennix play through Indiana and through Washington
- 44:51Speaker 1: and you see that. But but milt Roe's a physical
- 44:53Speaker 1: guy and runs the ball. I was impressed how he
- 44:55Speaker 1: took over the game when they played up at Wisconsin
- 44:59Speaker 1: Oh line and is big question mark for me with Alabama.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Maybe I think it's getting better, but George's got some
- 45:05Speaker 1: injuries on that front seven that are pretty significant. I
- 45:08Speaker 1: hadn't really had talked about it much because they haven't
- 45:10Speaker 1: been in it. But you know, Georgia went up to
- 45:12Speaker 1: that Kentucky game and they got all they wanted in
- 45:14Speaker 1: that spot. But where I think you've got an issue
- 45:16Speaker 1: is I don't think this offense has figured out what
- 45:19Speaker 1: it is just yet in a sense to be there
- 45:22Speaker 1: is no you know, Brock Boers, there is no mconkey
- 45:26Speaker 1: there and so and Rob Rod Thomas is off the
- 45:29Speaker 1: team as well, and so I think three of your
- 45:31Speaker 1: biggest outlets that keep you know, we're there from last
- 45:34Speaker 1: year even there gone. And I just haven't seen this
- 45:37Speaker 1: Georgia offense completely come out and dominate like we've seen
- 45:41Speaker 1: over the last couple of few years. I'm going Bama
- 45:44Speaker 1: plus two the biggest game on the board this weekend.
- 45:47Speaker 3: I couldn't agree more like Bama. I just they just
- 45:49Speaker 3: looked like a better team. Look defensively on that back
- 45:52Speaker 3: end is where you can get Bama, and I don't
- 45:57Speaker 3: think they can. You know, I don't think they can
- 45:59Speaker 3: capitalize on it on this Georgia football team.
- 46:01Speaker 2: That is the that is the difference.
- 46:04Speaker 3: Carson Beck has simply got to be the player that
- 46:07Speaker 3: everybody thought he was going to be coming into this game. Look,
- 46:10Speaker 3: do I think this is gonna be a wail of
- 46:12Speaker 3: a ball game?
- 46:13Speaker 2: You bet you, I really do. Uh.
- 46:15Speaker 3: I just feel like that Georgia's guy doesn't have enough
- 46:21Speaker 3: explosiveness right now. I mean, Etn at running back is
- 46:26Speaker 3: just you know, I'm kind of mad on it. Candidly.
- 46:31Speaker 3: I think there are some injuries. They're wide receivers have
- 46:35Speaker 3: just I mean, I think their leading receivers got like
- 46:37Speaker 3: one hundred and sixty six yards receiving man was checking.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Down three Yeah. Yeah, he's checking down a lot. Like
- 46:44Speaker 1: go back and watch a Kentucky game, and I think
- 46:46Speaker 1: he's seeing some ghosts or something, because he had some
- 46:49Speaker 1: plays that they were opened down hid dealt open a
- 46:53Speaker 1: couple of times and checks down to Etn And so
- 46:56Speaker 1: I don't know if he's not comfortable in the system
- 46:58Speaker 1: or what, but he just I have not seen that explosiveness.
- 47:01Speaker 1: And you can't tell me because it's who they played.
- 47:04Speaker 1: They beat the shit out of Clemson in Week one
- 47:06Speaker 1: and just out physicaled this team and did that, and
- 47:09Speaker 1: then they played a Kentucky team that they play every
- 47:11Speaker 1: single year, and Kentucky has been a physical you know,
- 47:15Speaker 1: They've got a great front seven. They laid a giant
- 47:18Speaker 1: egg against South Carolina, but then they came back and
- 47:20Speaker 1: gave it all they wanted there. And so I just
- 47:23Speaker 1: I cannot figure out who Georgia is offensively just yet.
- 47:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I will say the only thing that I can't
- 47:29Speaker 3: get out of my mind is that Clemson game. I
- 47:31Speaker 3: mean they just because look, Georgia has stinkers every year.
- 47:35Speaker 3: I mean, look it was it was Missouri a couple
- 47:37Speaker 3: of years ago. They just go lay some turns, I
- 47:40Speaker 3: mean just where they just do enough to get by.
- 47:44Speaker 3: And I think that's exactly what they did against Kentucky.
- 47:48Speaker 3: It was just that that was one of their stinkers.
- 47:50Speaker 2: It was early.
- 47:51Speaker 3: But I think some of that is what Kirby Smart
- 47:53Speaker 3: talked about about. The depth on this team is transfers
- 47:56Speaker 3: and they don't understand the Georgia way and the work
- 47:59Speaker 3: at and what it takes. None of that's gonna be
- 48:02Speaker 3: a case this week. They're gonna all be balls to
- 48:05Speaker 3: the wall. It's gonna be just a great game. It
- 48:08Speaker 3: really does come down to me. I ain't I think
- 48:13Speaker 3: it being in Tuscaloosa matters, even though both these teams
- 48:16Speaker 3: are great and where they play doesn't matter one hill
- 48:19Speaker 3: of beans. These kids are experienced enough and good enough.
- 48:22Speaker 3: But I do think that's gonna help Alabama enough for
- 48:27Speaker 3: them to for them to cover this number.
- 48:29Speaker 2: I think it's close. I think this is gonna be.
- 48:32Speaker 3: A really, really hard fought, physical football game. I think
- 48:36Speaker 3: these are two of the best coaches in college football.
- 48:39Speaker 3: I really do, do you. I think the Bower is
- 48:42Speaker 3: a really really good football coach. What the I think
- 48:46Speaker 3: what the difference for me is Bama having to go
- 48:50Speaker 3: on the road at Wisconsin. I think is more helpful
- 48:54Speaker 3: than people think, because that is a tough place to play,
- 48:56Speaker 3: and Wisconsin.
- 48:57Speaker 2: Was yeowed up and read to go. And while that
- 49:01Speaker 2: game I.
- 49:01Speaker 3: Felt like was a lot closer than the score indicated,
- 49:04Speaker 3: I still think that helped Alabama enough. The key to
- 49:07Speaker 3: this is what does Bama do stopping the run? Because
- 49:12Speaker 3: Wisconson could move the football. Are they gonna be able
- 49:15Speaker 3: to bring that down and make Beck and these wide
- 49:17Speaker 3: receivers beat them. That's to me, the key to this
- 49:21Speaker 3: football game. I think the Bowl is gonna figure out
- 49:23Speaker 3: how to score some points. Can Georgia score enough to
- 49:26Speaker 3: keep up?
- 49:28Speaker 1: Man? I yeah, I'm in the same boat, man. I mean,
- 49:31Speaker 1: that's kind of how I see this came playing out.
- 49:33Speaker 1: It's kind of that's the board. We got only other
- 49:35Speaker 1: play I'm leaning on. I mean, I've got a few
- 49:36Speaker 1: out there. I like KSE State this week against Oklahoma State.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Like I mentioned earlier, I just haven't seen much out
- 49:43Speaker 1: of that squad. I'm gonna go with Avery Johnson K
- 49:45Speaker 1: State and play this one here. But you got anything
- 49:48Speaker 1: else you kind of looked at.
- 49:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I'm gonna give you a couple other games
- 49:51Speaker 3: that since we'll just talk about underdog underdog specials. I
- 49:55Speaker 3: mean I mentioned the Rutgers game, Clumson I mentioned a
- 49:58Speaker 3: little bit leading in. I like, you do need to
- 50:01Speaker 3: watch weather on that ball game. At twenty one. That's
- 50:03Speaker 3: a big number.
- 50:04Speaker 1: Uh.
- 50:05Speaker 3: Clemson's gonna need to be able to be balanced, I
- 50:07Speaker 3: think to uh to clear that number. But Clemson's starting
- 50:11Speaker 3: to find their stride be a good football team. I
- 50:14Speaker 3: love love Louisville going into Notre Dame. I ain't the
- 50:18Speaker 3: wrong team's favorite in that ball game. Give me the Cardinal, baby.
- 50:22Speaker 3: This is more of a down cell on what Notre
- 50:25Speaker 3: Dame's doing on the offensive side of football. Riley Leonard
- 50:28Speaker 3: has not looked like the player that he was at
- 50:30Speaker 3: Duke and he and again, I'm gonna tell you I
- 50:34Speaker 3: love Marcus Freeman this. If Notre Dame fans are thinking
- 50:37Speaker 3: they need to fire that cat, they are idiots.
- 50:40Speaker 2: They're recruiting great he is.
- 50:42Speaker 3: He's going to grow into a good He is a sharp,
- 50:45Speaker 3: intelligent guy.
- 50:46Speaker 2: He is learning on the fly.
- 50:48Speaker 3: You don't go hire a guy who's never been a
- 50:49Speaker 3: head coach and not be willing to deal with some
- 50:51Speaker 3: growing pains. But I still believe he's the right guy
- 50:54Speaker 3: for Notre Dame. But I like Louisville. This week bron
- 50:57Speaker 3: goes in there has those guys biting nails to get
- 51:00Speaker 3: it done. And we already talked about FSU and I
- 51:02Speaker 3: like Woo Pigs suiye baby. Going into Jerry World playing
- 51:08Speaker 3: Texas A and M. The Aggies, I don't think have
- 51:13Speaker 3: got enough offensively to get this done faster track. I
- 51:18Speaker 3: like this Arkansas team. They are battle tested. Even what
- 51:22Speaker 3: is now week four of the season, you know we're
- 51:24Speaker 3: week five into Week five. They have played some really
- 51:28Speaker 3: really good football teams thus far, been on the road twice.
- 51:32Speaker 3: Now playing in a neutral field against a rival.
- 51:36Speaker 2: I like the Hogs here.
- 51:37Speaker 3: I think it sets up great for him, you're getting
- 51:40Speaker 3: three and a half. But I ain't could be a
- 51:42Speaker 3: live dog too. So my live dogs, I'm gonna take
- 51:44Speaker 3: FSU Louisville and Arkansas this week for my underdog parlay.
- 51:50Speaker 3: You can do you around robin, you can do one parlay,
- 51:53Speaker 3: whatever you like, but my favorite of those underdogs is
- 51:58Speaker 3: Louisville probably as as a true I don't know.
- 52:02Speaker 2: For FSU two, I think they I think both those
- 52:04Speaker 2: teams are gonna win. Straight up.
- 52:07Speaker 1: I'm going to go with a round robin with FSU
- 52:09Speaker 1: Archie in Louisville and play that in a round robin
- 52:14Speaker 1: underdog money line parlay. Only other thing I might play
- 52:17Speaker 1: I haven't I even dig into a little bit more.
- 52:19Speaker 1: I kind of like East Carolina this week in the
- 52:23Speaker 1: spot that they're picking up, and I like Texas State.
- 52:26Speaker 1: I don't understand this line, and I really don't understand
- 52:29Speaker 1: all the money coming in on Sam at plus eight.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Sam is much improved, but this Texas State team is legit.
- 52:37Speaker 1: I mean, the last time we saw them play was
- 52:39Speaker 1: a game that they should have won against Arizona State
- 52:43Speaker 1: ended up losing thirty one to twenty eight. But I
- 52:46Speaker 1: really like this Texas State team. So I'm going to
- 52:48Speaker 1: need to dig into this one to see if there's
- 52:50Speaker 1: something I'm missing on why this line is at eight
- 52:54Speaker 1: and Sam Houston's taking some money. I mean Sam's three
- 52:56Speaker 1: and one and so they've made a great turnaround. Probably
- 53:00Speaker 1: get a chance to go bowling. But it's not like
- 53:02Speaker 1: there's a home field advantage when you go play in Huntsville,
- 53:04Speaker 1: Texas in you know, in a giant high school stadium.
- 53:07Speaker 1: But kudos is the program for getting better. And then
- 53:10Speaker 1: the only other game I like, I probably get a
- 53:11Speaker 1: roll with the Baylor Bearriers minus three. I bet that
- 53:13Speaker 1: early in the week reverse line move here is what
- 53:17Speaker 1: I'm seeing. I'm seeing money, you know, come in to
- 53:20Speaker 1: one direction, in line move in another direction. The BYU
- 53:24Speaker 1: win last week, even though I bet it, I still
- 53:26Speaker 1: think was scugazy. The Baylor team should have won that
- 53:29Speaker 1: game against Colorado. Had those two games been flipped, I
- 53:32Speaker 1: think you'd see this more like a Baylor I don't know,
- 53:35Speaker 1: maybe a little bit higher number, but I think I
- 53:38Speaker 1: think Baylor wins this game going away. That's why the
- 53:41Speaker 1: line said it minus three and a half. I think
- 53:43Speaker 1: the defense that Iranda is going to roll out there
- 53:45Speaker 1: is going to give all kinds of problems to b
- 53:46Speaker 1: Why you lean to the over a little bit as well.
- 53:50Speaker 1: But I haven't put anything involved in it, but I
- 53:51Speaker 1: would go with my Baylor Bearers minus three and a
- 53:53Speaker 1: half this week too.
- 53:54Speaker 3: The Baylor Bears on the bounce back. You're saying they're
- 53:56Speaker 3: going to figure out how to defend Hilary.
- 53:59Speaker 1: I think so. I think so bro I did? Does
- 54:01Speaker 1: b what you call it a hillbry? They called it
- 54:03Speaker 1: hal Joseph Smith? What do they call that up there?
- 54:06Speaker 1: I don't know. I can't look. Oh, this is a
- 54:09Speaker 1: totally different subject. The hockey season starts in like three
- 54:12Speaker 1: weeks and Utah has got a hockey team and they
- 54:17Speaker 1: decided to name it the Utah Hockey Club, which I
- 54:20Speaker 1: was so pissed off about that they didn't name it
- 54:22Speaker 1: the Missionaries because I was looking forward to like black pants,
- 54:26Speaker 1: white shirt, and then like the gold name plate in
- 54:28Speaker 1: the upper left corner that would be there, and then
- 54:31Speaker 1: their helmets to match their bicycle helmets that they could
- 54:34Speaker 1: wear all the time. I was like, this is gonna
- 54:36Speaker 1: be so awesome if they get to skate out of
- 54:38Speaker 1: this stuff. But no, I like that one I also
- 54:40Speaker 1: like Navy. Navy stole the ball man. They throw the
- 54:43Speaker 1: ball for nearly two hundredards a game ride around centdergards,
- 54:46Speaker 1: a game against Trent Dildo and UAB maybe won this
- 54:50Speaker 1: game last year, and this is a buch better Navy team.
- 54:52Speaker 1: They put Jacob Zeno the quarterback a UA B in
- 54:55Speaker 1: a situation we had to do a lot of checkdowns,
- 54:57Speaker 1: kind of ran a cloud with two highs over the
- 54:59Speaker 1: top and he's not going to beat you deep in
- 55:02Speaker 1: that situation. So kind of like Navy to beat Trip
- 55:05Speaker 1: Dildo as well.
- 55:05Speaker 3: So probably that Army and Navy both being undefeated as
- 55:10Speaker 3: we enter week five.
- 55:11Speaker 1: Maybe how about Army and Navy if they roll this thing,
- 55:15Speaker 1: they could both for the American Championship and they would
- 55:18Speaker 1: play back to back weeks.
- 55:20Speaker 3: Yeah, because they played the first weekend December and then
- 55:23Speaker 3: play the Army Navy game.
- 55:24Speaker 2: That'd be completely fabulous.
- 55:26Speaker 1: I mean, the Army Davy game is not a conference game.
- 55:32Speaker 3: And here's a great part if they if that also
- 55:36Speaker 3: means one of them would probably be in the playoff. Yeah,
- 55:41Speaker 3: you'd have Army playing three weeks in the Navy playing
- 55:44Speaker 3: three weeks in a row in December.
- 55:45Speaker 2: What a great story. Don't think that'll end up happening.
- 55:48Speaker 3: But how fabulous would it be if the first playoff
- 55:51Speaker 3: one of the military schools makes it.
- 55:55Speaker 1: May Navy's got the Memphis win in their pocket already,
- 56:00Speaker 1: so you could argue the team that is the favorite
- 56:03Speaker 1: to win that conference, Navy's already beating them.
- 56:06Speaker 3: Yeah, and look, this ball game we didn't talk about it,
- 56:09Speaker 3: but why Zoo Boise State is a huge ball game
- 56:12Speaker 3: to determine which team has got a chance to Boise
- 56:17Speaker 3: State wins this ballgame, gets another good win going into
- 56:21Speaker 3: Mountain West. Play boy, they establish themselves as truly the favorite.
- 56:26Speaker 2: Especially if Oregon keeps winning.
- 56:29Speaker 3: You get a nine or a ten win Oregon team
- 56:31Speaker 3: and then that they look back at that Boise there
- 56:34Speaker 3: clearly would be the team. But Boise loses once or twice,
- 56:38Speaker 3: gets an injury or two, or loses this ballgame and
- 56:42Speaker 3: they're not going to be there. So it would open
- 56:43Speaker 3: the door for an Army or a Navy or somebody
- 56:45Speaker 3: like that.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm cheering for Wizoo this weekend. I gonna put
- 56:49Speaker 1: a little bit money behind that.
- 56:50Speaker 3: I like what they got going on.
- 56:52Speaker 1: Folks that hit us up on Twitter leave us some comments,
- 56:54Speaker 1: leave us some reviews. We always enjoy the feedback. With
- 56:57Speaker 1: that being said, trying to make a few bucks on Saturday.
- 56:59Speaker 1: Have a good time. We'll talk to you next week.
