- 0:18Hello, and welcome to episode 108 of the All Systems Go sports
- 0:23Betting podcast powered by Rhythm.
- 0:26I'm your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on everyone?
- 0:33Happy Friday, the final day in August before we turn the page
- 0:37to September before football season takes over our lives or
- 0:41maybe it's already taking over our lives, which is fine with
- 0:43me. I'm looking toward today, guys,
- 0:45hopefully wrap up the week, wrap up the final day and the month
- 0:49here of August. On a hot note, I have a four
- 0:51pack of sweats for it today, including the first college
- 0:55football sweat for the all systems go pod in 2024.
- 0:59I found a home dog with a very, very sharp line move, a great
- 1:02bat split and the line keeps dropping in their favor even
- 1:05though they're on the contrarian side.
- 1:06So I'm going to take the points with a home dog.
- 1:09I'll give you the full breakdown on today's pod.
- 1:11So we'll have our first college football sweat here.
- 1:14Also not going to quit Major League Baseball.
- 1:16Got a three pack of MLB sweats for you.
- 1:18All money lines here. Seeing if we can go two and one
- 1:21with our MLB plays and win our college play.
- 1:24But here is the goal for tonight just to eke out a winning night
- 1:28as always. So before I get to today's pod,
- 1:31I wanted to mention thank you all for checking in on me.
- 1:34Unfortunately wasn't able to do a pod yesterday and I got
- 1:37flooded with DMS with techs. Are you alive?
- 1:39Where's the pod? What's going on?
- 1:41It just goes to show what a loyal audience we have and I
- 1:44very much appreciate you guys seeing if I'm dead or alive.
- 1:47Luckily, I'm still alive, but had something come up yesterday
- 1:50where I was, I couldn't get away from my computer and I was able
- 1:54or I had to get away from my computer, had to do something
- 1:57again. I'll keep it to myself, family
- 1:59related, but everything's fine. Nobody's dead.
- 2:01But unfortunately just that could not get the pod out
- 2:04yesterday. But it did mean a lot to me that
- 2:06you guys DM me, checked in, said where's the pod?
- 2:08That just goes to show what a great kind of community we've
- 2:12created over 107 episodes, going on episode 108.
- 2:16Now the other bad news unfortunately is that sad face.
- 2:19No biting this weekend. No biting unable to continue our
- 2:24UFC winning streak going trying to get to 12 straight because
- 2:28there's no UFC this weekend, but I did see the next card is on
- 2:31September 7th. So we'll have to wait another
- 2:34week, but that's OK. I'll be ready to go for system
- 2:36matches for UFC upcoming on next week.
- 2:39So without further ado, let's get right back to it because I
- 2:42miss you guys yesterday. I also wanted to mention we have
- 2:45full college football slate for real starting tomorrow, so get
- 2:48ready for a lot of college football moving forward.
- 2:50I got a lot of hits from you guys saying when are you going
- 2:53to talk college football? Well, don't worry, it's a long
- 2:55season and I'm kind of taking a slow approach here, letting the
- 2:59games come to me and I really always want to wait until kind
- 3:02of week one officially because a lot of these early games,
- 3:04sometimes you can have some weird things happening.
- 3:06They're kind of weird one offs. Also when you're able to kind of
- 3:09get to the regular season, especially week two and beyond,
- 3:12you get a little bit of information on these teams.
- 3:14I always kind of sometimes take a slow approach to a new season
- 3:17just because there are a lot of unknowns.
- 3:19So at least when you get a game under your belt then you have a
- 3:21little bit more information to work with.
- 3:23But with that being said, now is the time to get going here guys.
- 3:26So for a college football sweat for you tonight, first of the
- 3:30year on the all Systems Go sports betting pod, I'm going to
- 3:33go to a late night sweat tonight.
- 3:35This is a 10:00 game on ESPN, so we should all be able to sweat
- 3:39it and watch it together. But I'm looking at TCU visiting
- 3:43the Stanford Cardinal. I misspoke.
- 3:45There's a 10:00 game, 10:30 PM. So this is going to be one of
- 3:48those late night sweats. So a little background on these
- 3:51teams going coming from last year to this year.
- 3:52And then I'm going to give you the play here for tonight.
- 3:55So overall, both these teams pretty much disappointed.
- 3:58You had TCU finishing five and seven.
- 4:01Ironically, they actually went to the national championship
- 4:04just a couple years ago, kind of took a step back five and seven
- 4:08on the year. But then that's going to play
- 4:10into a little bit, I think the public perception on TCU
- 4:13tonight. But then if you look at
- 4:14Stanford, even worse here they were three and nine.
- 4:17They took their lumps. Stanford to me, is in a bit of a
- 4:20bi low spot in this game here tonight with the points.
- 4:23So here's the full breakdown. Also, one thing I want to
- 4:26mention before I get to the full breakdown is looking at win
- 4:29totals, because when you are betting kind of a new sport or a
- 4:32sport that's just, you know, starting for the first time and
- 4:35you have no idea, you know, the kind of the the strength or
- 4:38weakness of these teams. Like if you're a professional,
- 4:40better, obviously you're, you know, setting your own power
- 4:43ratings and playing off your own numbers.
- 4:46But another easy way to just look at the strength and
- 4:47weakness of a team is based upon their win total.
- 4:50You know how the odds makers, the wise guys are projecting
- 4:52these teams. So TCU, who went five and seven
- 4:55last year, their win total this year is 7 1/2, but it's really
- 4:59juiced up to the under -150 so kind of maybe they'll take a
- 5:02step forward, go from 5:00 to 6:00 or seven wins.
- 5:05But again, the odds makers aren't expecting a double digit
- 5:08win. Team Stanford, by the way, 3:00
- 5:10and 9:00 last year public, the wise guys, I should say, or the
- 5:14odds makers expect them to be better this year after going
- 5:17three and nine. Their win total this year is 3
- 5:191/2, but it's juiced up over at -160.
- 5:23So you can look at a couple different ways.
- 5:25TCU obviously is the better team, Seven half win total
- 5:27versus 3 1/2. But also Stanford may be in a
- 5:30buy low spot after disappointing last year going 3:00 and 9:00.
- 5:33However, when you get to their quarterback here in a second,
- 5:35that's going to be a big factor for me tonight.
- 5:38But at least the odds makers are projecting them to probably be
- 5:40better this year, at least one more game than last year.
- 5:43But here's the thing. We're talking win totals and
- 5:45we're betting a spread sport like football.
- 5:47All we care about is covering the number.
- 5:49So you can lose, but can you cover the number?
- 5:52So here's my play here for tonight, TCU at Stanford.
- 5:55I'm taking the points with the Stanford Cardinal.
- 5:58Now, one thing that really jumped out to me for this game,
- 6:01aside from the fact that it's going to be a nationally
- 6:03televised 1030 ESPN game, is the line movement and the bet
- 6:07splits. Because I think when you get to
- 6:09college football, there's a lot of favoritism involved.
- 6:11Big name schools, you know, what do we last remember Stanford
- 6:14being bad, TCU going to the national championship game?
- 6:17So there's a lot of bias involved.
- 6:19Obviously the NFL has that too, but it's a much, you know,
- 6:21smaller group of teams over what is it 120 college football teams
- 6:26only what, 3032 in the NFL. So it's a little different, but
- 6:30what I really jumped out to me with TCU Stanford is the smart
- 6:33money on Stanford tonight because we actually open this
- 6:36game, Stanford getting 9 1/2 points.
- 6:40Some shops even open Stanford plus 10.
- 6:42And there's been consistent one way movement in favor of
- 6:45Stanford. So Stanford went from as high as
- 6:47plus 10 down to plus 9 1/2 down to +9.
- 6:51Now it's down to plus 8 1/2. So this line is clearly moving
- 6:55in favor of Stanford and even saw one shop get down to 8.
- 6:58So obviously the hook here is important.
- 7:01You end up losing by 8. You want to cover this number
- 7:03with Stanford. But the fact that it's one sided
- 7:06movement in favor of Stanford tells me that even though this
- 7:08line is dropping, like you say to yourself, hey, can I really
- 7:11play Stanford at 8 1/2 when I could have gotten, you know,
- 7:13nine and a half ten? Well, no one's got a time
- 7:16machine. You can't go back in time and
- 7:17go, you know, grab Biff Tannon's Almanac and get that number at a
- 7:20better price. So we're obviously going off the
- 7:22data and the information in front of us right now.
- 7:25But it is a good sign at least that this line continues to move
- 7:28in favor of Stanford, even though, you know, obviously
- 7:31you're losing a point, point and a half, you know, two points off
- 7:34the opener almost. So that's my first thing I
- 7:36noticed, lines moving towards Stanford.
- 7:38Then I go to the bet splits and what really jumped out to me as
- 7:41a great contrarian low bet, higher dollars bet split.
- 7:45So what I'm talking about is the public is leaning TCU now.
- 7:48It's not crazy lopsided DraftKings right now, 52% of
- 7:52spread bets are laying the points of TCU saying, hey, this
- 7:56was a national championship game couple years ago.
- 7:58Stanford was 3:00 and 9:00 last year.
- 8:00Lay the points almost kind of reminds you a little bit of like
- 8:04Colorado last night. You know, should our Sanders,
- 8:06they end up winning the game. They don't cover, but they're
- 8:08kind of a a team that everyone expected to cover.
- 8:10Same thing tonight. Public's expecting TCU to cover.
- 8:13However, even though Stanford is only getting 48% of spread bets,
- 8:17which is contrarian by nature, they're getting 67% of spread
- 8:22dollars. So that really jumps off the
- 8:24page to me getting less than half the tickets, but more than
- 8:27half the money. That's kind of one of my just,
- 8:29you know, starters when it comes to bet splits.
- 8:31And really with bet splits, I want sub 50% bets, more than 50%
- 8:35dollars. So the fact that Stanford is
- 8:37only getting 48% of spread bets, but 67% of spread dollars, that
- 8:42tells me that we have a + 19% smart money discrepancy to low
- 8:47bets, higher dollars. And really what it tells you is
- 8:49that basically we have a 5050 line move, even though
- 8:53Stanford's a little contrarian 48%, even if we've split it down
- 8:56the middle called 50%. What do we always talk about on
- 8:58the pop? We talk about line moves and
- 9:00what they mean. Reverse line move, steam move,
- 9:02steam moves, line freezes. But when I talk about a 5050
- 9:06line move that basically kind of thinks through a line that
- 9:10really shouldn't be moving but is moving.
- 9:12So 5050, think of it this way. Spread tickets are even here.
- 9:16Almost 5050 TCU Stanford, again, slight favoritism.
- 9:19TCU 5248 or 5050, a line really shouldn't move at all.
- 9:24Yet the fact that we're seeing this line go to Stanford plus 10
- 9:28down to plus 8 1/2 tells us that the bigger, sharper wagers are
- 9:31going on Stanford and taking the points of the Cardinal.
- 9:34So that's a great angle here. Low bets, higher dollars.
- 9:37You are contrarian by definition. 48% to me, though,
- 9:40I'd like to be more contrarian. Can I get 38 percent, 28%, but
- 9:44still your sub 50% bets, your 67% money.
- 9:47You got a line move in your favor.
- 9:49You got a 5050 line move. And then here's the other kind
- 9:52of angle here. If you look at the Stanford
- 9:55quarterback, Ashton Daniels, Hopefully this kid plays well
- 9:58for us tonight if you're like me and taking the points.
- 10:00But he is a he was, he had a sophomore year last year.
- 10:04So he is now a junior, but sophomore year last year he had
- 10:07ten starts. He played really well on a bad
- 10:09team. He threw for over over 2000
- 10:11yards. He's a dual threat.
- 10:13He can throw it and rush it. He compiled 14 touchdowns
- 10:17overall and he's also returning his top three wide receivers.
- 10:21So I think that's important. And again, we talked about
- 10:24stability and, you know, almost like a dog who can score system
- 10:26match here. Like we're going to come back to
- 10:28all of our, you know, football related system matches, but dog
- 10:31who can score, put up points, maybe backdoor cover.
- 10:34That's huge when you're taking the points with a dog,
- 10:37especially a home dog like this. But if you look at Daniels, he's
- 10:40returning Bachmeier, IO Minor and Roush, his top three
- 10:44receivers from last year. And this guy, IO Minor, I think
- 10:48it's Alec or Alec. I was reading about him a little
- 10:50bit. I remember him from a couple
- 10:51games last year. This kids a stud.
- 10:53So the fact that you're bringing back your QB who had good
- 10:55success last year, top three wide receivers again, kind of
- 10:59you can grow with your QB, wide receiver offense and put up
- 11:02points. Can they put up enough points to
- 11:04cover this number? Can you lose by 8 or less?
- 11:07That's the goal If you went outright.
- 11:08Hey chefs kiss even better. But all that being said, I'm
- 11:13taking Stanford to the points here guys.
- 11:14I was also reading about Stanford again, put as much
- 11:17stock of this in stock into this or as little stock as you want.
- 11:21But they have 110 straight season openers at home.
- 11:24But if you Add all up you have a looks like a live dog with a
- 11:27line move in their favor, a great low bets higher dollars
- 11:29bet split, a QB, and a trio of wide receivers who worked
- 11:33together last year and are coming back growing together
- 11:36this year. Add it all up guys.
- 11:37I'm taking the points with a Stanford Cardinal.
- 11:40So shop around. I got Stanford at plus 8 1/2.
- 11:43Make sure you go get the hook. It is pretty widely available,
- 11:46but you you may see an 8 out there.
- 11:48So of course have multiple outs And I it's so important like,
- 11:51you know, we just went through or they were still going through
- 11:53a long MLB season. We're trying to get the most
- 11:56best money line price. But whether I get -120 in a
- 11:59baseball money line and you get -115 or -130 we still both cash.
- 12:04Obviously the whoever laid the less juice cash is a bigger
- 12:07payout in return. But I can't tell you how
- 12:09important it is with spread sports like football to be able
- 12:13to get that hook. Like again, if you see Stanford
- 12:16lose by 8 and you only got a + 8 and couldn't get the 8 1/2,
- 12:19you're really going to be, you know, kicking yourself here.
- 12:22So have multiple outs. Shop around.
- 12:23If you haven't done it yet. Again, get those extra accounts
- 12:26so you can have multiple outs and get the best number.
- 12:29But again, home dog sharp line move low bets, higher dollars
- 12:32bets split. I'm going Stanford plus 8 1/2
- 12:34tonight, hopefully covering at home against TCU prime time on
- 12:39ESPN. Now back to our bread and
- 12:41butter, Major League Baseball. I know it's been a little up and
- 12:44down this year or up and down this week.
- 12:46I should say, been a good year overall.
- 12:48I'm starting to think maybe there's a little variance, kind
- 12:50of some weird things are happening.
- 12:51We're getting into the, you know, final month of the season.
- 12:54But I don't want to abandon sharp plays that kind of
- 12:56announce themselves. So that being said, here's a
- 12:59three pack. First overall, 6:45 PM Eastern
- 13:02Time, the Cubbies visiting the Washington Nationals in our
- 13:05nation's capital. Cubs come in 68 and 66, just had
- 13:09a huge series against the Pirates.
- 13:11They swept that series. They won the finale 14 to 10 as
- 13:14a + 135 road dog. I think they're down like 2:50
- 13:18in that game. I think Skeens was pitching.
- 13:20So an epic comeback. I wonder if anyone live lined
- 13:22them when they were down big. But anyway, the Nats 61 and 73,
- 13:26they just took two or three against the Yankees.
- 13:28They won Wednesday's series finale five to two as a + 185
- 13:31home dog. So pitch match up here for
- 13:34tonight. Cubbies going to go with the
- 13:35lefty Shota not a. He's 10 and three with a 3.08
- 13:39ERA. Meanwhile, the Nats are going to
- 13:41go with the ready Jake Irvin. He's 9 and 10 with a 3.80 ERA.
- 13:46So do we see across the market here?
- 13:48Well, this line opened with the Cubbies around a -, 150 Rd.
- 13:52favorite. And we've seen one way steam on
- 13:54Chicago. So please take in those good
- 13:56vibes against the Pirates into the nation's capital.
- 13:59They open -150 Cubs now up as high as -165 So it tells me
- 14:03we've got one way smart money on the Cubs laying the chalk.
- 14:06That's what I'm going to do. I'm going Cubs tonight.
- 14:08They're getting around 75% of bets, but nearly 80% of dollars.
- 14:12So both a pro and Joe bet split in their favor.
- 14:14Along with the good steam move in their direction, Chicago has
- 14:18the more explosive offense they're they've scored 600 runs,
- 14:22hit 144 homers. Washington only scored 565 runs,
- 14:27hit 112 homers. And the Cubs.
- 14:29One thing I look at of course, when I'm betting a favorite, I'd
- 14:32prefer a non division favorite over a division favorite.
- 14:34So the fact that the Cubs come from a different division that
- 14:37makes him a non division favorite with the lack of
- 14:39familiarity, hopefully benefiting quote UN quote the
- 14:42better team who's expected to win, which would be the Cubs
- 14:44here. And then digging into these
- 14:46pictures a little bit in Monoga has been good all year six and
- 14:49one 2.94 ERA on the road this year.
- 14:52Irvin, by the way, is has a 5.46 ERA and five August starts.
- 14:56It's giving up seventeen runs and 28 innings pitched and he's
- 15:00only two and seven with a 4.14 ERA at home.
- 15:03Cubs, meanwhile, seven and three in their last ten games.
- 15:06Let's hope those bats stay hot. They've hit 288 in their last
- 15:09ten games, not six and four over the last 10.
- 15:12So they've been decent as well, but they're only hitting 266.
- 15:15But it looks kind of fishy the fact that again, Cubs kind of a
- 15:19decent sized opener -151 way movement.
- 15:22But I'm going to go with this line move here.
- 15:24I'm going to take the Cubs hopefully to win this game.
- 15:26Let's go in managa. Hopefully the bats can stay hot.
- 15:29I'm on the Cubs at -165 Next up, operation fade, Chicago White
- 15:36Sox. That's right, 8:10 PM Eastern
- 15:38Time, first pitch. The Mets visiting Chicago Mets
- 15:41come in 70 and 64. Just took two or three against
- 15:45the D backs. They won yesterday's series
- 15:46finale three to two as a + 105 row dog.
- 15:50Meanwhile, the White Sox continue to lose 331 and 104.
- 15:54What a win loss record, on pace to have the worst record in
- 15:58history of baseball. Anything, anytime we can do
- 16:00anything for the worst or best or you know, most or just make
- 16:03setting records in baseball like that.
- 16:05Got to remember they been playing baseball for what, 150
- 16:07years? That means you're pretty bad.
- 16:09But they just got swept by the Rangers.
- 16:11They lost 2 to one yesterday as a + 235 home dog.
- 16:14So for tonight's series opener, the Mets are going to go with
- 16:17the Rady. Tyler Megill, he's two and five
- 16:20with a 5.17 ERA. You know the White Sox are going
- 16:23to go with the Rady. Jonathan Cannon, he's two and
- 16:25eight with a 4.57 ERA. So what have you seen across the
- 16:29market here? Well, one way movement looks
- 16:31like pros are not outsmarting themselves.
- 16:33They're laying it with the New York Mets.
- 16:35Mets open around -200 We've not seen the Mets creep up to around
- 16:39-220 even -225 now New York is getting a heavy dose of bets in
- 16:45dollars, over 90% of bets in dollars.
- 16:48So a lopsided both pro and Joe bet support split along with
- 16:52that big steam move in their favor.
- 16:54And the Mets have a lot of advantages here.
- 16:56Obviously. I mean, I'm not setting any
- 16:57records here breaking any news, the fact that the White Sox are
- 17:00so bad. But the Mets do have that inter
- 17:03league favorite value. So lack of familiarity
- 17:05benefiting the better team. But also New York has the much
- 17:08better offense. Hopefully the offense really
- 17:10shows up tonight. They're hitting 249 on the year,
- 17:13171 homers, 639 runs scored. Meanwhile, Chicago only hitting
- 17:19220. They've only hit 109 homers.
- 17:21They've only scored 416 runs. Mets, meanwhile, a winning team
- 17:25on the road, 35 and 31. White Sox only 18 and 51 at
- 17:30home, the worst home record in baseball.
- 17:32New York also hitting pretty well against righty's, hitting
- 17:35245. That's 16th in baseball.
- 17:37Chicago's only hitting 219 against righty's.
- 17:40That ranks dead last. So I'm going to go Mets here
- 17:42guys. I know it's a big number.
- 17:43I think it's big for a reason, as always, whether it's a
- 17:46spread, money line, total, it's always bet to risk, not bet to
- 17:49win. So I got the Mets at -220 and
- 17:52that means as a bet to bet to risk better not bet to win.
- 17:56I'm just risking my one unit trying to get a little less than
- 17:591/2 unit back. I'm not risking 2.2 units to win
- 18:02one unit that'll be betting to win because again, the off
- 18:05chance something crazy happens in Chicago wins tonight.
- 18:08You know, I don't want to lose multiple units versus just one,
- 18:11but hopefully we can just chip away at around 1/2 unit on this
- 18:14one. Let's go Mets -220 last bat of
- 18:17the night in Major League Baseball, 9:38 PM Eastern Time,
- 18:20the Mariners visiting the Los Angeles Angels.
- 18:24The Mariners who are 68 and 66, they just took two or three
- 18:27against the Rays. They won Wednesday series finale
- 18:30six to two as a -, 160 home favorite.
- 18:32On the other hand, the Halos 55 and 79 just dropped two or three
- 18:36against the Tigers, but did avoid the sweep, winning 3.
- 18:39Nothing yesterday and that series finale they cashed as a +
- 18:42150 Rd. dog. So tonight's series opener, very
- 18:45interesting here. On the one hand, we have the
- 18:47Mariners going with the ready George Kirby, who's 9 and 10
- 18:50with a 3.48 ERA. The Angels, meanwhile, are going
- 18:54to go with the lefty Samuel Aldagari.
- 18:57And are there any fans out there of Inglourious Basterds?
- 19:00I remember what his name was, Dominic Di Coco.
- 19:03Samuel Aldagari. He is making his Major League
- 19:06Baseball debut. More on him in a second.
- 19:07He's going to make history tonight.
- 19:09It's kind of cool. But this line opened with
- 19:12Seattle listed as a -, 165 road favorite Dodgers or Los Angeles
- 19:17Angels around a + 140 home dog sharks are laying with Seattle
- 19:21here. They've steamed the Mariners up
- 19:22from around -165 all the way up to -185 even as high as -190 in
- 19:28Seattle. It's getting a ton of bets in
- 19:30dollars In this one. They're getting around 85% of
- 19:32money line bets in dollars, indicating a big pro.
- 19:35And Joe split along with that big steam move in their favor.
- 19:38And the Mariners also have a rest first tired advantage.
- 19:40Hopefully this pays off tonight. But Seattle didn't play
- 19:43yesterday. They were off and all the Angels
- 19:45played in Detroit. So you had to travel, come back
- 19:48and play here tonight. Day off for the Mariners,
- 19:50obviously good for the position players, starting pitcher as
- 19:53well as the bullpen. But this kid tonight, Samuel
- 19:58Aldagari, he's making history as the first pitcher who was born
- 20:01and raised in Italy. To make it to the major leagues.
- 20:04So pretty cool feat there by ALDI Gary.
- 20:07But what's one thing I kind of mentioned or we have mentioned
- 20:09throughout the baseball season on the pod, it's that when you
- 20:12have a kid coming up making his Major League debut or pitcher,
- 20:16you know, whether it's a kid, journeyman, doesn't matter.
- 20:18Someone brand new to Major League Baseball, what's the
- 20:21initial line move? Because sometimes you'll see
- 20:23someone come up, never pitched in the bigs before.
- 20:26Line will just skyrocket away from them.
- 20:28So basically sharps are saying this person's going to get lit
- 20:30up. Let's bet against this new
- 20:32pitcher. Other times you've seen
- 20:33situations where you bring up a new pitcher and the line goes
- 20:36toward that kind of fishy new pitcher making his debut.
- 20:40In that case, wise guys are saying, hey, maybe he's decent,
- 20:42or maybe just kind of the, you know, kind of the element of
- 20:46surprise, lack of familiarity will be a benefit.
- 20:49So in this case, the fact this line is steaming towards Seattle
- 20:52tells me that wise guys want to bet against Samuel Aldegary here
- 20:56tonight. Meanwhile, in the in the minors
- 20:58this year, he was decent, 6 and 93.59 ERA.
- 21:01I think he started at AA, went up to AAA.
- 21:05Mariners though, by the way, five and five in their last ten,
- 21:08hitting 227 with a 3.48 ERA. Angels just two and eight and
- 21:12their last 10, they're only hitting $1.85 with a 4.5 O ERA.
- 21:17We add it all up here, guys, this is a big steam move here on
- 21:19Seattle. Shop around.
- 21:21I'm going Mariners, I'm going to bet against Aldegary, and I'm
- 21:24going to go Seattle on the money line.
- 21:26I got the Mariners at -185 S three packing baseball.
- 21:30Can we get two out of three Cubs, Mets, Mariners?
- 21:33And as we mentioned to start the pod, our first college football
- 21:36sweat of the year officially on the pod, taking the points here
- 21:39with Stanford plus 8 1/2 tonight against TCU.
- 21:43So that about does it for episode 108 of the All Systems
- 21:46Go Sports Betting podcast powered by Rhythm.
- 21:49This is the part of the pod where I leave you with a few
- 21:51things #1 if you enjoy this podcast, if you were scratching
- 21:56and clawing and saying where the heck is the pod?
- 21:58Yesterday when I wasn't able to give you a pod, maybe you
- 22:01realize missing it, that you like it, You enjoy it again.
- 22:05You don't know what you got till it's gone, I guess.
- 22:07But anyway, if you enjoy the pod, you enjoy the breakdowns,
- 22:10you want to let me know you appreciate the pod.
- 22:12Can you please do one thing for me?
- 22:13Can you help me grow the podcast by giving it a 5 star review?
- 22:17If you're listening on Spotify or iTunes, click those five
- 22:20stars. If there's an option to give a
- 22:21good review and you want to put down, hey, I enjoy the the
- 22:24data-driven breakdowns, whatever the case may be, I would very
- 22:27much appreciate that. Also, if there's an option to
- 22:30quote UN quote, follow the pod. If there's a follow button,
- 22:33click that. That way, as soon as it drops,
- 22:35we get alerted. So hopefully you can listen to
- 22:37it ASAP and get the numbers before they move.
- 22:40And then also if you want to recommend the pod to a friend, a
- 22:43data-driven person or maybe a person who knows nothing about
- 22:46data but enjoy sports betting and wants to kind of think
- 22:49through games a little bit differently.
- 22:51Just sticking with the numbers, getting away from bias and
- 22:53favoritism and starting to learn to go contrarian, identify sharp
- 22:58action and read the market. Recommend the all systems go pod
- 23:01to your buddy or family member or colleague out.
- 23:03Very much appreciate that as well.
- 23:05Secondly, if you enjoy these breakdowns and you want to learn
- 23:08more about data-driven sharp contrarian betting, guess what?
- 23:12I wrote a book, it's called the Everything Guide to Sports
- 23:14Betting. So if you want to support the
- 23:16team, you want to learn more about data-driven betting, go
- 23:19buy a copy. Just go to Amazon.com and type
- 23:21in the Everything Guide to Sports betting.
- 23:23It's got everything I've learned in the industry.
- 23:25How lines are set, how and why they move, How to read line
- 23:28movement, How to locate sharp action.
- 23:30How to place the bet in person or online.
- 23:32How to shop for the best line. How to set up a bankroll
- 23:34management plan. Full chapters here on how to bet
- 23:37college football and NFL. If you need a refresher, if you
- 23:40want to pick up a copy, hey, it would make my day.
- 23:42And when I see you at the sports book, bring that book, the
- 23:45Everything Guide to Sports Betting.
- 23:47I'll sign it for you. I'll buy you a beer or ginger
- 23:49ale. We'll sweat some plays together.
- 23:52Almost second to lastly or third to lastly.
- 23:54Have you signed up for a 7 day free trial of Juice Reel or
- 23:57Rhythm? My two favorite data-driven
- 24:00sports betting apps. They help me win.
- 24:02I know they're going to help you win.
- 24:03But let's start with Rhythm. Rhythm is fantastic when it
- 24:06comes to AI driven best bets. Looking at really discrepancies
- 24:10between what the AI rhythm models are projecting and what
- 24:13the market's projecting. So we're going to use it a lot
- 24:15in football. Get ready for a lot of rhythm
- 24:17system matches once we really get going starting tomorrow.
- 24:21But maybe Rhythm AI says this game should be a 2.9 spread
- 24:25versus in the market you can get, you know, plus four.
- 24:28Therefore, hey, take the points because rhythm is offering a an
- 24:32advantage over the market and edge.
- 24:34A rhythm is also great for their model creations, where you as a
- 24:39rhythm user can create your own models or follow the rhythm AI
- 24:42models that they give to you. Also, rhythm is great for their
- 24:45their player props, which we'll be using this year in the NFL.
- 24:49So aside from rhythm, juice reel is also a great pot, a great app
- 24:52here to take advantage of. You can sync up your sports
- 24:55books. You can learn about yourself as
- 24:57a better get a running report card of your of your sweats.
- 25:00But really with juice reel, I love their robo Jackson AI best
- 25:03bet picks each day. If you want to tell those
- 25:06there's two of them that come out at noon every single day
- 25:08across all the different sports just compiles the app and gives
- 25:12you the best bets. Also sharp mush opportunities
- 25:15been having good success with that.
- 25:16Looking at the app where hey, all the good betters in the app
- 25:19are on team B or team A. All the bad betters in the app
- 25:22are on team B Boom. It'll isolate those games where
- 25:25you have the biggest discrepancy between what the wise guys on
- 25:27the app are betting versus what the whatever you want to call
- 25:30them squares Mushes. I don't know if that's a
- 25:32derogatory term, but let's just say the the less experience
- 25:36betters maybe, but also you're going to get let's see the
- 25:40arbitrage. As I mentioned, the Robo Jackson
- 25:42best bet picks all included when you sign up and become a juice
- 25:46reel user. So sign up for Juice reel, sign
- 25:48up for rhythm. All you have to do is click that
- 25:50custom link located in the bio description of this podcast and
- 25:54you'll be off and running. So that about does it for
- 25:56episode one O 8 of the All Systems Go pod as we wrap up the
- 26:00month of August and turn the page here to September.
- 26:03But parting words as always, whether I see you at the Borgata
- 26:06in Atlantic City, Twin River in Rhode Island, the Brooklyn, New
- 26:08Hampshire, Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun down in Connecticut at the
- 26:12Encore in Boston or Plain Ridge Park Casino or MGM Springfield
- 26:16and my neck of the woods in Massachusetts.
- 26:18Or of course, out in the desert where the true grinders get down
- 26:20or Billy Walters sends his number runners where the lowest
- 26:23juice possible is found at the South Point.
- 26:25Or sweat and sharp contrarian plays, jumping in the stadium
- 26:27swimming pool at Circa, wherever it may be.
- 26:29You're going to walk up to me. Hopefully you're going to show
- 26:31me some winning tickets here. Now I'm looking at the last time
- 26:34we talked on Wednesday, we did get the Detroit Tigers, did get
- 26:37the Red Sox, couldn't get the Reds.
- 26:39And if you look at the New York Yankees, Washington over 9.
- 26:42This is, you know, ridiculous. It ended up losing, but there
- 26:46was a play where someone crushed a fly ball to center field and
- 26:50Joey Gallo instead of just continuing to run and score,
- 26:53held up, got picked off and got into a double play.
- 26:55So that was a that was a mush when it came to our at
- 26:58Washington, New York over. But you can show me a Detroit,
- 27:01Oregon Red Sox ticket from Wednesday and guess what?
- 27:03First one's on me, next one's on you.
- 27:05We'll post about the book and sweat some sharp contrarian
- 27:08plays all night long. So have a great Friday everyone.
- 27:11Have an even better Saturday Now as of now, no pods on Saturday.
- 27:16I am looking at possibly pods for NFL Sunday.
- 27:19I got some things in the work, so stay tuned for that.
- 27:22But in terms of college football insights for tomorrow, check my
- 27:25Twitter page. You can check it every day, but
- 27:27especially on Saturdays because I'm going to continue to write
- 27:30sharp reports for vison.com. So I'll pick out three games for
- 27:33tomorrow. You can get my insights on them
- 27:36from my Twitter page at Josh under Score Insights.
- 27:39But as always guys, stay sharp, stay contrarian, bet against the
- 27:43public, place yourself on the side of the house, always be
- 27:45with the smart money, never against it.
- 27:47Will smart money win every time? Of course not.
- 27:50Sports betting is hard. If you haven't realized yet, let
- 27:52me just break it to you now. It's hard, but you can continue
- 27:55to grind and win betting with your head and not your heart.
- 27:58Anything can happen in a one off, but if we stay true to the
- 28:00long term model and bet games that match our system against
- 28:04the public with the house, with the pros, flat bet, avoid
- 28:08parlays and get that closing line value.
- 28:10If we can do that, we're going to we're going to grind out
- 28:13winners and we're going to be grinding out a successful sports
- 28:16betting experience. So either way, guys, no biting.
- 28:19Unfortunately this weekend. We'll be back at it on Monday
- 28:22for episode one O 9 of the all systems go sports betting
- 28:25podcast powered by rhythm. Have a great Friday everybody,
- 28:28and an even better weekend.
