- 0:01Speaker 1: Danny and Cole, 97.1 Hank FM. Good morning. We both
- 0:04Speaker 1: started with a stretch and a yawn.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Right before the mic. I'm a little sleepy today.
- 0:12Speaker 3: We celebrated my friends Grant and Emma last night at
- 0:15Speaker 3: their wedding. It was a lot of fun. They got
- 0:19Speaker 3: married at Eagle Creek, and this venue they had was gorgeous.
- 0:23Speaker 4: It was so much fun.
- 0:25Speaker 1: You said all of that, and all I heard was
- 0:26Speaker 1: you had a wedding on a Sunday.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Yeah, they did. Everything was a little bumped up. It
- 0:32Speaker 3: was kind of like an afternoon tea wedding, which.
- 0:36Speaker 4: I think a lot of people really enjoyed.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 0:39Speaker 5: Because I've only ever been to a Saturday wedding on
- 0:41Speaker 5: a holiday weekend. I've never been on one with not.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Because how often, even like now that we're a little
- 0:48Speaker 3: bit older, are you at a wedding on a Saturday night?
- 0:52Speaker 3: And you're like, oof, it is getting late.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I need to get on out of here.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Or like.
- 0:59Speaker 4: It started a little bit earlier.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Again, now that I'm a little bit older, I'm like, what?
- 1:04Speaker 1: How does this wedding start?
- 1:08Speaker 4: I've been up for a while.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I'm nervous because I have not. You were in the
- 1:11Speaker 1: wedding party, right?
- 1:12Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:13Speaker 5: I've not been in a wedding party. I mean, it's
- 1:16Speaker 5: been a while since one of my friends have gotten married.
- 1:18Speaker 5: And coming up next summer, I'm in a wedding party.
- 1:21Speaker 5: And I'm like, can I still hang?
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Because it's different when you're in the looking party.
- 1:25Speaker 5: You're going to find out real quick. I got to
- 1:27Speaker 5: figure that out. We hope you're ready to have a
- 1:29Speaker 5: good time this week. Thank you so much for hanging
- 1:31Speaker 5: out with us. You can always let us know what
- 1:34Speaker 5: you did this weekend.
- 1:36Speaker 1: 317-663-9797 is our phone number.
- 1:37Speaker 5: We've got $ 500 in the new country cash jackpot. Want
- 1:42Speaker 5: to make sure you're signed up and ready to go.
- 1:44Speaker 5: Hankfm.com or the free app. Because coming up at 8.50,
- 1:47Speaker 5: we're going to tell you what time to win some
- 1:49Speaker 5: money today.
- 1:49Speaker 1: It's Annie and Cole.
- 1:51Speaker 4: They did what?
- 1:53Speaker 3: I feel like we're getting all these stories about people
- 1:55Speaker 3: who are running for local office.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Like last week, we talked about the guy who had
- 2:00Speaker 4: the signs up. He's like, I don't really want to
- 2:01Speaker 4: do this.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Like, you know, this guy, 45 years old in Iowa,
- 2:09Speaker 3: and he is being sued for unpaid rents.
- 2:14Speaker 4: From his parents.
- 2:16Speaker 3: His parents are suing him for unpaid rent. They say
- 2:19Speaker 3: he owes them money. $ 275, 000.
- 2:23Speaker 4: That's a lot of unpaid rent. It sure is to
- 2:27Speaker 4: mom and dad.
- 2:27Speaker 1: To mom and dad, yeah. Okay.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Annie and Cole, be a part of the show. Call
- 2:34Speaker 2: or text 317-663-9797.
- 2:36Speaker 5: So I was checking our text line and we missed
- 2:39Speaker 5: some text last week.
- 2:40Speaker 1: We were talking about... Rules are pets made up that
- 2:43Speaker 1: we now have to follow.
- 2:44Speaker 5: And the one that made me laugh so much was
- 2:47Speaker 5: from Sandy that our Labrador knew when Wheel of Fortune.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Came on at 7 o'clock. And that was his dinner time.
- 2:53Speaker 5: If we didn't get up to feed him right away,
- 2:54Speaker 5: he'd go over to his food mat, lay in front
- 2:56Speaker 5: of it, and stare at us.
- 2:58Speaker 1: And we're a Wheel of Fortune family in our house.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I love that that is what triggers the dog is
- 3:03Speaker 3: the theme music to Wheel of Fortune.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Hilarious.
- 3:06Speaker 1: He just sees Vanna White. I was like, uh, yo,
- 3:09Speaker 1: where's the food? It's not in the bowl.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I'm reading this one that says Dax wants ice every
- 3:15Speaker 3: time someone is getting it, but only will take it
- 3:18Speaker 3: if you put it directly in his mouth. If you
- 3:21Speaker 3: drop it, he won't take it.
- 3:24Speaker 5: This was at the bar in the garage.
- 3:26Speaker 1: So is Yeti. He doesn't like to feel left out
- 3:28Speaker 1: and he'll get up there himself.
- 3:31Speaker 5: I think the jump is too big, but he just
- 3:33Speaker 5: still gets up there every single time. Yeah, that was
- 3:36Speaker 5: something we taught our dog Jax too. We're like, oh,
- 3:39Speaker 5: We want you to eat dinner with us. And so
- 3:40Speaker 5: he has a chair he sits at, which is cute
- 3:42Speaker 5: when it's just us eating dinner. When we have guests
- 3:45Speaker 5: over and he's looking at someone who's sitting in his chair,
- 3:48Speaker 5: it's not that cute. I mean, costume's my favorite part
- 3:58Speaker 5: about trick-or-treating because I like to look and see what
- 4:01Speaker 5: everyone's dressed up as.
- 4:02Speaker 1: And I'm sure as a parent.
- 4:06Speaker 1: When you're younger, like my sister, they all do like
- 4:09Speaker 1: a theme.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Yes.
- 4:11Speaker 3: So I was at my friend's great-grandma's wedding yesterday. And
- 4:17Speaker 3: they have a nephew that is four. So he's kind
- 4:22Speaker 3: of in control of the theme and the entire family.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Go with it.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Like all four brothers, grandma and grandpa, like the entire
- 4:32Speaker 3: family will be dressed up in theme for this.
- 4:34Speaker 4: I'm very excited to see it.
- 4:36Speaker 5: So if you could go back and you could think
- 4:38Speaker 5: of like your top four Halloween costumes, maybe it's something
- 4:40Speaker 5: you wore. Maybe it's something you like dress the kids
- 4:43Speaker 5: up in and you're like, oh my God, this is
- 4:45Speaker 5: so cute.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Let's share.
- 4:48Speaker 5: Let's start with one of ours that made our lists
- 4:51Speaker 5: and then we'll run down some more coming up.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:54Speaker 3: The first one that always comes to mind for me
- 4:58Speaker 3: as a kid was Power Ranger.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Classic.
- 5:00Speaker 4: That's a classic.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I thought.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Not the best costume, but one of the most memorable
- 5:05Speaker 5: costumes from my childhood was my sister wanted.
- 5:08Speaker 1: To be a red M & M.
- 5:10Speaker 5: And my parents were like, we are not going to
- 5:12Speaker 5: go buy a red M & M costume.
- 5:13Speaker 1: My mom's like, I can make it for you. Mom
- 5:16Speaker 1: made it.
- 5:16Speaker 5: We went trick or treating and everyone kept asking my
- 5:18Speaker 5: sister if she was a chicken nugget.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 5:22Speaker 1: She's like, I'm an M & M.
- 5:23Speaker 4: How old was your sister at this point?
- 5:26Speaker 2: Oh.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Old enough to be disappointed.
- 5:28Speaker 5: By the fact that people were asking her if she
- 5:31Speaker 5: was a chicken nugget.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Now, as an adult, like a chicken nugget seems like
- 5:34Speaker 3: a great costume as well.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it does. So, do you have anything you would
- 5:38Speaker 1: add to this list? Best costume you've had of all time?
- 5:41Speaker 2: Be a part of the show. Call or text 317-663-9797.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Annie and Cole, 97.1 Hank FM.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Annie and Cole, 9-1-1.
- 5:58Speaker 5: Talking about your most memorable costumes of all time. We
- 6:02Speaker 5: were just flipping through all of our social media trying
- 6:04Speaker 5: to find old pictures. And I got to when my
- 6:07Speaker 5: nephews were younger. And there were two that stand out
- 6:10Speaker 5: for my nephews. My nephew was a parrot.
- 6:13Speaker 1: One year. And his mom made the pirate ship as
- 6:15Speaker 1: his wagon.
- 6:16Speaker 5: Like the wagon was a pirate ship and then she
- 6:18Speaker 5: was a pirate pulling him.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:21Speaker 5: And then my nephew Bennett had long hair as a teller.
- 6:23Speaker 5: So they dressed him up in a suit and a
- 6:25Speaker 5: red tie as Donald Trump. And he went around just
- 6:28Speaker 5: giving everyone a thumbs up like all Halloween. Cause he
- 6:30Speaker 5: wasn't talking yet.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I was like, Oh, okay. So what was your most
- 6:35Speaker 1: memorable costume?
- 6:36Speaker 3: Uh, I'm looking at this one on the arm mirror
- 6:38Speaker 3: text line from Don, uh, And it looks like a Smurf.
- 6:41Speaker 4: And strawberry shortcake.
- 6:43Speaker 3: But it is a throwback photo.
- 6:46Speaker 4: And the masks.
- 6:47Speaker 3: The way you say it nowadays.
- 6:50Speaker 4: That looks creepy. Looks kind of creepy.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:52Speaker 4: It looks scary. It sure does.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Not meant to be, but it looks scary.
- 6:56Speaker 4: So I started with Power Rangers on my list. I
- 7:00Speaker 4: also would include anything from Star Wars, like Jedi.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:04Speaker 4: It's pretty awesome. I also.
- 7:08Speaker 3: many years went as some sort of professional athlete, whether
- 7:10Speaker 3: it was Colts or Pacers or baseball or something.
- 7:14Speaker 1: You go more into it.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I probably had the shorts and stuff like that too.
- 7:18Speaker 3: My final one is not one of mine.
- 7:22Speaker 4: It is one of yours. When you dressed up like.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Your dogs and you had your dogs dress up like
- 7:28Speaker 3: you is still one of my all time favorite Halloween costumes.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Do you really want to know?
- 7:34Speaker 2: Annie and Cole want to know.
- 7:37Speaker 5: I am the absolute queen of awkward situations and it's
- 7:41Speaker 5: only my own doing.
- 7:42Speaker 1: No one else.
- 7:44Speaker 5: No one else is to blame for the situations I
- 7:46Speaker 5: get myself in. This weekend I had one, and I thought,
- 7:49Speaker 5: maybe it might be better if I share it, and
- 7:51Speaker 5: then we share our awkward moments together. The last one
- 7:55Speaker 5: you had, they were like, I don't know how.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I get here.
- 7:58Speaker 4: You know what's funny, too?
- 8:01Speaker 3: We were at a wedding this past weekend, and on
- 8:03Speaker 3: Friday night, it was some of the groomsmen and some
- 8:06Speaker 3: of the bridesmaids just sitting around a table drinking, and
- 8:09Speaker 3: we started like, what is your most embarrassing story of
- 8:12Speaker 3: the groom or the bride. So I think this is
- 8:14Speaker 3: fitting as well.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Okay.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Well, this weekend, add this one to my ever-growing list.
- 8:19Speaker 4: It just happened the other day. You already have one.
- 8:22Speaker 5: Just happened this past weekend. We went to a winery
- 8:26Speaker 5: and they were doing a wine tasting and one of
- 8:29Speaker 5: the wines, the woman who was doing the tasting was like, hey,
- 8:32Speaker 5: sometimes we mix this with chocolate and it gives it
- 8:34Speaker 5: like a different flavor.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Oh, sure.
- 8:36Speaker 5: Yeah, of course I want to try chocolate. So she
- 8:39Speaker 5: pulls out like a chocolate, like Oh, like a fudge,
- 8:42Speaker 5: like a jar that you put like an ice cream,
- 8:44Speaker 5: like a topping.
- 8:45Speaker 1: That you keep in the fridge and bring back out.
- 8:46Speaker 1: That kind of chocolate.
- 8:48Speaker 5: She puts a spoon in it and she comes over
- 8:49Speaker 5: to me and I lean across the bar. I think
- 8:53Speaker 5: she's trying to feed me the chocolate. Everyone I'm with
- 8:58Speaker 5: is looking at me like, what are you doing? I
- 8:59Speaker 5: was like, I'm getting the chocolate. She's like, oh, here,
- 9:02Speaker 5: take the spoon. She was handing me the spoon.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I went full mouth open.
- 9:09Speaker 5: Leaning over the bar thinking she was going to feed
- 9:12Speaker 5: me the chocolate.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Then I was so thrown off.
- 9:14Speaker 5: She's like, take a sip of the wine, take the chocolate,
- 9:17Speaker 5: take another sip of the wine. Because I embarrassed myself
- 9:20Speaker 5: so much, I was laughing. I took a sip of
- 9:22Speaker 5: the wine and I didn't swallow the wine. I tried
- 9:24Speaker 5: to put the chocolate in with the wine in my
- 9:27Speaker 5: mouth to not have a full mouth of wine. It
- 9:29Speaker 5: starts coming out down my lips, like on my face.
- 9:33Speaker 1: And everyone is like, what?
- 9:36Speaker 4: What are you doing we have to go yeah we
- 9:37Speaker 4: gotta leave you gotta.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Go now you can't be here anymore why.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Did i think she was gonna feed me we're at
- 9:44Speaker 5: a winery why did i think a woman was gonna
- 9:47Speaker 5: feed me by spoon.
- 9:48Speaker 3: You know the other thing i think about that story
- 9:50Speaker 3: is like if i were to put myself in your
- 9:52Speaker 3: shoes there i.
- 9:55Speaker 4: That would keep me up at night for weeks i.
- 9:59Speaker 5: Would think about it wonderful a long line of things
- 10:01Speaker 5: that i don't even know this cracks the top 10
- 10:03Speaker 5: of my like will you ever see that person again
- 10:05Speaker 5: no yeah no but i bet you next time we
- 10:08Speaker 5: can't my friends who we were with.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Are gonna bring it up.
- 10:11Speaker 4: And Cole.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Text or give us a call. 317-663- 9797. Hank FM.
- 10:17Speaker 6: Good morning, Annie. I am here to redeem you from
- 10:20Speaker 6: your most embarrassing moment.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Okay.
- 10:23Speaker 6: This is so bad. I went to the dentist and
- 10:27Speaker 6: I was on nitrous and I told her that I
- 10:30Speaker 6: had to spit. So I thought she put the tube
- 10:34Speaker 6: in my mouth and it was her finger so I'm
- 10:37Speaker 6: just sitting here like with her finger in my mouth,
- 10:40Speaker 6: just sucking on it and blowing on it, trying to
- 10:42Speaker 6: get it out of my mouth.
- 10:45Speaker 1: You thought it was a sucker thing to get the
- 10:47Speaker 1: water out.
- 10:48Speaker 6: And it was her finger. Every time I go to
- 10:52Speaker 6: the dentist now, I'm reminded of that.
- 10:54Speaker 4: I can't believe I would have changed dentists.
- 10:58Speaker 6: I'm so embarrassed every time. And it's the same high dentist.
- 11:03Speaker 6: So she's cool with me. We're really cool with each other,
- 11:05Speaker 6: but I like, cannot face her now every time to
- 11:09Speaker 6: go there.
- 11:11Speaker 5: Like remember that time I sucked on your finger weirdly
- 11:14Speaker 5: yeah huh yeah.
- 11:15Speaker 6: Yeah yeah she was like uh Angie that's that's my
- 11:18Speaker 6: finger and I was like oh okay no wonder it
- 11:21Speaker 6: didn't feel like.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Plastic yeah Yeah, at least I never have to go
- 11:25Speaker 5: back to that winery again.
- 11:27Speaker 1: You're going back to the scene of the crime over
- 11:28Speaker 1: and over again. Over and over again.
- 11:31Speaker 6: All the time. And it's always the same. Everybody in
- 11:34Speaker 6: the office knows.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Well, thank you for calling in. You're welcome.
- 11:38Speaker 6: Have a good day. I follow. I like.
- 11:40Speaker 2: I share.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Annie and.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Cole on Hank FM.
- 11:43Speaker 4: This is sad.
- 11:44Speaker 2: 87% of employees. So I'm going to say almost all
- 11:47Speaker 2: of us.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Yeah, basically, almost 9 out of 10, roughly.
- 11:56Speaker 5: We're all putting on a happy face at work, pretending
- 12:01Speaker 5: that everything is great. And we're enthusiastic about our job.
- 12:09Speaker 5: Almost all of us are faking it at work.
- 12:13Speaker 3: I think... There are because I think that you and
- 12:17Speaker 3: I are very fortunate to have jobs that we like.
- 12:21Speaker 3: And I think there are people who would also agree
- 12:24Speaker 3: with that, that they feel lucky to do something that
- 12:26Speaker 3: they love to do.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Yes.
- 12:27Speaker 3: But I also think that pretty much all of us,
- 12:30Speaker 3: if we hit the lottery tomorrow, I'm not going to
- 12:32Speaker 3: just continue working.
- 12:33Speaker 2: No. I'm done.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Would anybody win? The jackpots are really big this weekend.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I didn't even look at it.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Is it my time of the year again?
- 12:41Speaker 5: It's the time where we need to go get a
- 12:42Speaker 5: ticket if nobody won over the weekend.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Look at this number, though.
- 12:46Speaker 5: 87% of us put on Happy Face at Work, and 66%,
- 12:49Speaker 5: so over half of us, seriously considered quitting in the
- 12:55Speaker 5: past six months.
- 12:58Speaker 6: Wow.
- 12:58Speaker 4: Wow. That's a lot.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Danny and Cole. Weekday mornings 6 to 10 on 97.1
- 13:03Speaker 2: Hank FM.
