  live album that's just dropped today. So it's the twenty fifth anniversary show that

  we did about a year ago. Yeah, almost the years of the today,

  maybe a week but yeah. So that's the show where we got all

  from my lineups of the band back together for one night and yeah with a
• 0:28
  killer ie and we got it recorded and filmed and we've just finally put it
• 0:34
  out. So yeah, we've got it as a live album and also the
• 0:38

  for joining us today, brother pleasure mate. As you say, Frankie Bark
• 0:47
  have released a new live album, twenty five years of Noise in one form
• 0:51
  or another. That's a great album title for a live album. Where he
• 0:55
  came up with that, I actually did. Yeah, I was just trying
• 1:00
  to think of some kind of put my line and that just popped into my
• 1:04
  head. Yeah, that's kind of the truth. We've kind of the band
• 1:07
  has sort of been through many different changes over the twenty five years. With
• 1:14
  each different lineup, it's sort of broad, you know, something completely it's
• 1:19
  changed every time, but there's been a running frint through the whole thing,
• 1:23
  you know, like with so I was in the band twice and two of
• 1:27
  those lineups, but there's been four different singers, so with every different thing,
• 1:33
  and you're going to have a different sound. And yeah, so Bett
• 1:38
  player said, there's a thread running through the whole thing, and that's pretty
• 1:41
  much as he's been there start and you know he's sort of his riffs and
• 1:49
  his music that sort of go runs through the whole thing. But yeah,
• 1:52
  so it's quite an eclectic bunch of songs really when you put it all together.

  And it was recorded live at the title of Saber twelve twenty twenty two.

  So have you released it now to sort of coincide with the twelve month
• 2:04
  anniversary? Well taken taken this long just to get it all pretty much done.

  So I was the one that did did the mixing for it and the
• 2:16
  video editing. So eighteen songs, which is a lot, ye, and
• 2:23
  yeah, you know, I just try and cram that into my spare time,
• 2:27
  my little spare time that I've had in that in that period, and
• 2:30
  we just yeah, it's been a half plot basically. It was there were
• 2:36
  issues that we had to do with the sound, and just just a few
• 2:38
  little hurdles and stuff we had to I had to get over along the way,
• 2:43
  but yeah, and just work commitments and stuff that just sort of dragged
• 2:46
  it out longer than I hoped. But yeah, my intention was to get
• 2:51
  it out by the anniversary of the anniversary at the end of the at the
• 2:57
  latest, and I trust scraped it in pretty much right, just pretty much
• 3:00
  finished the final video edit maybe a week ago so that I finally got it
• 3:05
  up on YouTube. And that was a great relief when that happened. So
• 3:09
  yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to putting it behind me and getting it out
• 3:14
  there and and moving on to someone else. Now, speaking of the sound
• 3:20
  of it, how was it actually recorded and how good is the sound party
• 3:23
  in the end? Uh, Well, it was recorded on the night,
• 3:30
  just straight out of the desk, but it's a full multi track recording.

  So yeah, and we we we actually got a really good capture on the
• 3:38
  night. I'm especially happy happy with the drums down like that was a really
• 3:43
  good, really good capture of the drums. But yeah, so I had
• 3:47
  the ability to mix it properly and really sort of yeah, I took my
• 3:53
  time with it and tried to get it as sounding as fast as I possibly
• 3:57
  could, So yeah, it sounds really really good for a live recording.

  I'm really happy with how it's how it's come up. And I just had
• 4:05
  a guy actually comment on the page because it's out today, and he was
• 4:10
  mentioning that that as well, that he's really impressed with the sound quality of
• 4:14
  the recording. So yeah, I'm really neeved to hear that. But yeah,
• 4:17
  no, it's kind of really really good. Yeah. As we said
• 4:21
  before, the night was pretty special, facing performances from every Franco Bok line
• 4:26
  up for the band's twenty five year history. I know you had a large
• 4:29
  party putting that together, mate, but how much work did it actually take
• 4:32
  to make it come together on that night? It was a little bit of
• 4:39
  a process. We initially started with we were just gonna get a couple of
• 4:44
  dudes up with the with the current lineup and just get a couple of guys
• 4:47
  back for a song here and there. And we started asking a few guys
• 4:51
  like Couch and Mix and they were like, yeah, fuck it are all
• 4:55
  pretty enthusiastic, bent at it, and Damar kind of went on. The
• 5:00
  more I started to think, man, I mean, it's crazy idea that
• 5:04
  sounds could we actually get everybody back and try and get all five lineups to
• 5:11
  play songs each and really do do a justice? And it sounded like a
• 5:17
  crazy idea, but I thought, well, all we can do is ask.
• 5:20
  And the only the two dudes who were really pivotal in that happening when
• 5:25
  we're Tim and Mint, those were the guys from the from the the three
• 5:30
  or four lineups before the current one, so they had the most work to
• 5:34
  do. And Me had played drums really at all in five years since he
• 5:40
  left the band. He pretty much quit playing drums, so that was a
• 5:43
  huge ask to ask him to play you ten songs. But he ralished the
• 5:48
  idea and he was enthusiastic, and I have to say that he absolutely knocked
• 5:55
  it out of the park on the night. He absolutely killed it, probably
• 6:00
  the kids. So yeah, So in that saying that, we just started
• 6:06
  rehearsing. We did a few guys here and there. It took a couple
• 6:12
  of months of just getting guys in and out because we had the Caroline up
• 6:15
  learn all of the old songs so that we had at least had those guys,
• 6:20
  and then we'd bring in dudes just to play with them until we could
• 6:24
  gradually start up bringing everybody did, and it wasn't until the week of the
• 6:28
  show that we got a couple of full pretty much full dress rehearsals apart from
• 6:33
  Adam b Metal. He couldn't make it until the actual day of the show,
• 6:38
  and then we had a full We actually had a full dress rehearsal on
• 6:42
  the day in the afternoon and that was the first time he got up and
• 6:45
  he just absolutely smashed it on the night as well, So yeah, so
• 6:49
  it was it was pretty cool that last week when we had those last final
• 6:54
  jams and everybody was there apart from from Adam, but that was pretty cool.
• 6:59
  And when the Agental lineup finally that was their turn with all of them
• 7:02
  in there, and Scotty who'd come from Perth as well. He came down
• 7:06
  a few days earlier, so we got to have some rehearsals with him,
• 7:10
  and yeah, it was pretty pretty damn cool. When they kicked into Great
• 7:15
  for the first time in twenty eight everyone was was fine. It was just
• 7:18
  something that we never ever thought we'd ever see again, So yeah, that
• 7:23
  was pretty special. Yeah, and how was it having the whole game back
• 7:26
  again again, Like did everyone know each other or was it some people from
• 7:30
  the lineups meeting each other for the first time. That's a good question.
• 7:34
  I reckon they would have. No. I mean, maybe maybe there would
• 7:38
  have been some guys that had met, but I reckon everybody surely have known
• 7:43
  each other. I'm not sure about that. But everybody got on really,
• 7:47
  really, really good. So and you know, I had goes off to
• 7:51
  everybody for actually committing to it and seeing it through and getting along really well
• 7:59
  and just you know, given the respect that it deserves. Yeah, I
• 8:03
  can't thank everybody enough for that. Yeah, it was. It was really
• 8:09
  good. Man. Couldn't have gone any better up really on the night,
• 8:11
  Like, I mean, all I really would have taken is one guy to
• 8:15
  have not been available on the night for the whole idea not to have worked.
• 8:18
  So to get twelve guys to actually, you know, be able to
• 8:24
  agree to it in the first place, and then to be old to be
• 8:26
  able to do it on that one particular night was yeah, a bit of
• 8:30
  a miracle really, And then for everybody to just smash it on the night
• 8:33
  was you know, couldn't have asked for anything better? Really, Yeah,
• 8:37
  this before but there must have been a big night, especially for Asa who
• 8:41
  would have played all night. Being the only original member, he wouldn't have
• 8:43
  got a break, No he didn't. And as I said to him on
• 8:48
  the night, I was like, man, you know this, poor bas
• 8:52
  has got to do this five times I took the lineup. He sure that
• 8:56
  poor bar On the last thing's going on their own. Yeah he he relished
• 9:03
  the idea and loved it, and yeah, yeah he had. He had
• 9:07
  a great night and was very appreciative also of everybody's hard work and dedication to
• 9:11
  the ideas. So yeah, it must have been a night full of highlights
• 9:16
  made. But what was the one highlight for you? Definitely the highlight for
• 9:22
  me he was getting up with the original lineup and getting to do my discipline
• 9:26
  with those guys. So yeah, one of my all time favorite spranko bop
• 9:33
  songs. So to actually be able to get up there and do that with
• 9:35
  the original lineup was pretty cool. And yeah he could. Yeah, yeah,
• 9:43
  I definitely that was my life for sure. And you know, there
• 9:48
  were some people that came who traveled a long way to get there. Two
• 9:50
  guys in particular, one guy Ashore, and he came all the way from
• 9:54
  the middle of nowhere in w A and he managed to get there, and
• 9:58
  another guy came from stealing as well. So you know, my hat goes
• 10:03
  off to those guys for for actually making it all that way for the show.

  Oh yeah, yeah, that was pretty cool too. Now you've released
• 10:13
  a few songs in the lead up, so tell us. Tell us about
• 10:16
  the songs that you're released, and then why you shows them. Well,
• 10:22
  I figured that probably the best way to thought of promoting the promoting the release's
• 10:26
  see it to release one song from each of the lineup for five weeks leading
• 10:31
  up to the to the release. So I just thought of, you know,
• 10:35
  picked what I thought was, well, you know, some of them
• 10:39
  probably not the man, I can't tell them. I wanted to leave something
• 10:43
  right for when people want to watch the actual full show. So you know,
• 10:48
  I just thought I'd picked pick a song from each of the lineup and
• 10:52
  put those out, but I didn't sort of pick someone. Yeah, some
• 10:54
  of them with the master and then others I thought, no, no,
• 10:58
  I'll leave I'll leave those from when people actually watch the full show and not
• 11:03
  surely give it all the way beforehand. But yeah, the response has been
• 11:07
  really good. So far, everyone's been pretty pumped with it. So first
• 11:11
  today it's share. The response has been really good that I've noticed. Oh
• 11:15
  yeah, and I believe you also released a new line of merged to celebrade
• 11:18
  release. About that, Uh, yeah we did. We did so along
• 11:26
  with so we we put it out of our CD. But you know,
• 11:31
  not many people have CD players these days, so generally what I do is
• 11:35
  run a line of limited edition match to go with the release. And so
• 11:39
  that's all free order, which is finished now. And I was really happy
• 11:43
  with the response for that too. So you get a T shirt and the
• 11:46
  actual CD as well. And yeah, we sort of did. Yeah,
• 11:52
  like I said, we'd make them limited editions and there were a bunch of
• 11:56
  shirts that you could pick from different colors for the designs and fifty it easy
• 12:01
  Christmas to find as well. Yeah, put those out. So that's kind
• 12:05
  of the what I do with Feeding Records is trying to do those sort of
• 12:11
  merch CD combos to sort of yeah, tweets the deal and yeah, well
• 12:16
  where can people get onto those special merch facts? Mate, Well they're finished

  now, but we've got plenty of merch available on our website. So if

  anyone's keen, and with any March purchase that anyone gets usually cut you know

  a little Bertie tells me that you started work on the next album too,

  mate, what can you tell us about it? Yes, we have,
• 12:56
  we've started writing. I'm still you get to twitt any procicals down. Although

  we have done one song that had I'll let the k out of the Bank,
• 13:07
  but it's a song that featured the original vocalist Houchi as well, So
• 13:13
  yeah, we've got that one in the pipeline. A couple other ones that
• 13:16
  the guy has been working on which are sounding really really good. And now
• 13:20
  that I finally got this thing out of the way, I started concentrating on
• 13:24
  getting doing my partners and getting some lyrics read hopefully over the summertime when I
• 13:28
  get a bit more of a break and it's more of a chance to think
• 13:31
  the test that so but yeah, so fur they're sounding really really good,
• 13:35
  and as usual, they're all very athletic and nails down, very different from
• 13:39
  each other. But yeah, and I'm pretty excited about these ones. I
• 13:43
  think everybody is, so we'll see what happens. We're not really We're just
• 13:48
  going to write a bunch of songs and you know, see what comes of
• 13:52
  it pretty much. But that's kind of what we're going to be focusing on
• 13:54
  for the first half this year, I would say, as much as trying
• 13:58
  to get on the book started. The book showed us the next year that
• 14:01
  started the company now, So yeah, that's pretty much the plan for next
• 14:05
  year is trying to get a new velpment beautiful noner I may well, thanks
