  [SPEAKER_00]: They signed multiple veteran edge guys later on.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, not immediately talking about doing smooth manual agba neither of those really flash.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think had more utility and versatility than agba did, but overall, at the end of the season, the jackwars would rather have BJ Green and Danny Struego out there two young guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm glad that they as undrafted for reagents worked so hard and had enough requisite talent

  [SPEAKER_00]: to get into the rotation, and to be players, the Jaguars were excited about, and are excited about moving forward.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But between the Jaguars group of depth edge players, you know, obviously Travelle Walker and Josh Hines Allen or your starters, where is the experience?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Danny Strigo is the most experienced guy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Dennis Gardeck can do some edge things for you, but that's not his full-time position, but you look at it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's literally BJ Green and Danny Strigo, who were undrafted for agents last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, yes, Brian Thomas Jr., the second Brian Thomas Jr. playing for the Jack Wars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Cause I do think Strigo and Green got valuable experience on the field a little bit last year, but also just being in this team's locker room, being in the room with Josh Hines Allen, Trayvon Walker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that that matters.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I do think the Jags obviously value Wesley Williams quite a bit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, that wasn't like they just stuck in pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They traded up for him in the fourth round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They really wanted Wesley Williams on this roster.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it's not as if there's nobody that they've

  [SPEAKER_00]: really wanted to bring in and they want every single player that they bring in the building they are intentional about bringing in.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's no like, oh, well, we don't know, maybe this could work out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They have very intentional process with the people and players that they bring into the building, led by James Gladstone in company.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like any of these are just like throw away, oh, well, we got to fill out our

  [SPEAKER_00]: college undergraduate free agents, we got to fill out our roster, no, they want these guys here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they believe that they can, you know, make an impact.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Wesley Williams, they believed in strongly, strong enough to trade up form in the fourth round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not making the argument that the Jaguars don't have options that can turn into very good edge depth for them because I do think they have that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think BJ Green has a lot to him as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But you could definitely make the argument it'd be nice to have some experience behind Travel Walker and Josh Hinds Allen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you don't have to make that decision right now if you're the jackwars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's still a lot of veteran free agent adressors that can come in and make a bigger impact than I believe you were able to get out of a manual logba or to want smooth last year, love to want.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So there's guys out there and some of these guys will get signed in the coming weeks and months.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There are guys out there that have experience with this coaching staff, that even if they don't have experience with this coaching staff, that could come in and help.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There absolutely are a couple of guys that immediately come to mind for me when you look at the free agents that are currently available.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the Jaguar is going to sack her foot like if they're bringing in somebody he's got to be able to play the run.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's they've made that abundantly clear this off season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think Calvin, we can do that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he can also get more quarterback, hurries, pressures, hits, sacks than anybody you had behind Trevon Walker, Josh Heinz Allen last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Grim, they just didn't have that many opportunities.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they were coming along, I think at the right speed we're being undrapped for agents.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And this is by no means an exhaustive list that I'm about to go through, just gonna bring up three guys right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Cam Jordan is somebody I've always respected the heck out of the way he plays the game and he can hit quarterbacks and he can play the run at an extremely high level at 30 and a lot of the guys that are going to be available right now are older players That's kind of the nature of the way for agency goes, but I think Calvin noise is somebody who makes sense and I think Cameron Jordan is somebody who makes sense and Jordan going to be 37 later this year pretty wild, but he can play

  [SPEAKER_00]: He would demand, I'm not saying he would verbally command, more snaps, but I just, I think if you bring him in, you're not going to see as much of Danny Striggout or B.J.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Green or any of the young guys you might wanna see more of, and that may be your reason that the Jack Wars don't bring in a veteran edge in general.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If that's the case, I mean, that's fine.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Another one where you look at there's experience with this coaching staff, AJ Up and Nessa.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think overall his career has been a little bit disappointing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he was drafted to be a starter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a rotational player, but he's done some nice things in this league and he's got experience with this coaching staff, the Jaguar's defensive line coach Matt Edwards worked with him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, the Jaguar's also have other guys who have been with that Buffalo program, strength and conditioning.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have Heath Farwell.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Those are a couple of guys I would keep an eye on, but the list is much longer than that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It just basically comes down to how much do the Jaguars believe in these young guys?

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not like you have to have another head of veteran.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean like Josh Hines Allen and Trayvon Walker can be your leaders.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You don't need to bring in some veteran leader.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You don't need to necessarily, because I think those guys can absolutely lead the group.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Do you feel like if you have to rely on Wesley Williams, Danny Sturgo, B. J.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Green, et cetera, this year, an important game down the stretch, do you feel like they will be ready to do that?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Because I think the Jaguars as much as they're trying to develop long-term, they need to be thinking championship.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They absolutely need to be thinking championship.

  [SPEAKER_00]: With the type of offense that they have, the coaching staff that they currently have, that they will not be able to keep around long-term.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They need to be thinking championship in 2026.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This might be the last year you get with Campanila.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This might be the last year you get with Yadenski.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he might lose others.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think Matthew or Rujo is a rising star on the league.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He could potentially be hired as a defensive coordinator.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's other guys throughout the staff as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, just make sure you got all your,

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think I would feel more comfortable if there was another veteran edge presence.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I'm not gonna sit here and tell you, I don't like Danny Sturgo, BJ Green, I do like those guys.
