- Yoel Bakas: I'm seeing a lot of 2026 capital plans that are still assuming the reimbursement change hasn't really changed anything. Most programs already know the code changed. But that's not where oncology programs get hurt. What they don't know is which assumption in their pro forma just quietly broke. I'm talking about the 2026 capital purchase plans built on utilization models that no longer exist. and growth plans that assume margin will recover without redesign. If standard delivery margins are compressing, the real question is whether you've modeled new service lines like theranostics, benign disease, or adaptive correctly or not at all. The code change is public. The strategy gap is hidden. This is usually the moment where administrators pause. Not because they want a consultant, but because the math stops reconciling. If that's you, it might be time for a sanity check.
