Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: A wolf pack is not an accidental gathering of hunters.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack.
- 0:22Speaker 2: But when my sister brought Doug home, I knew he
- 0:24Speaker 2: was one of my own. And my wolf pack, it
- 0:28Speaker 2: grew by one. So there were two of us in
- 0:32Speaker 2: the Wolfpack. I was alone first in the pack, and
- 0:36Speaker 2: then Doug joined in later. And six months ago, when
- 0:40Speaker 2: Doug introduced.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Me to you guys, I thought, wait a second, could
- 0:44Speaker 3: it be?
- 0:46Speaker 2: And now I know for sure, I just added two
- 0:48Speaker 2: more guys to my Wolfpack.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Wolfpack in the house!
- 1:10Speaker 1: The date is September 16th, 2026. And you are listening
- 1:16Speaker 1: to The Wolf Pack. This is the episode of this
- 1:19Speaker 1: brand new podcast. Appreciate you guys listening. I am the
- 1:24Speaker 1: White Wolf, Rene DeLeon. And I am joined, always, by
- 1:29Speaker 1: El Lobo de Juarez himself, Manny Galvan.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Yes, sir. It's, uh.
- 1:35Speaker 3: You mentioned Independencia. Independencia.
- 1:39Speaker 4: which contrary to popular belief is not Cinco de Mayo.
- 1:42Speaker 3: It is September 16th.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody says Cinco de Mayo. I heard that too.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Yeah, you just have some.
- 1:50Speaker 4: People that will always be talking about, oh, Cinco de Mayo,
- 1:51Speaker 4: Mexican Independence Day.
- 1:52Speaker 3: No, it ain't.
- 1:56Speaker 1: If you would like to comment on the pod, you
- 1:58Speaker 1: can find us on our social media at WolfpackDFW for
- 2:01Speaker 1: both Instagram, Twitter, and X. That's WolfpackDFW.com. So for those
- 2:09Speaker 1: of you tuning in, most likely, you have heard us
- 2:13Speaker 1: on the radio in the past three months, hopefully. We've
- 2:18Speaker 1: had a lot of people come out and ask us
- 2:21Speaker 1: what's going on and if you guys are going to
- 2:23Speaker 1: be back on the ticket airways where we were at.
- 2:29Speaker 1: So let's get to that real quick. Yeah, we're still
- 2:32Speaker 1: part of the ticket. We've been asked to do part-time
- 2:36Speaker 1: here and there. Afterwards, when the football season ends, we'll
- 2:43Speaker 1: probably be back on Sundays. Not sure. They also have
- 2:49Speaker 1: Stars games, and Stars play on Sundays sometimes. So we'll
- 2:53Speaker 1: see about that. Yeah, we had a meeting afterwards after
- 2:59Speaker 1: our last show on Labor Day and Labor Day weekend. Yeah,
- 3:03Speaker 1: they told us that we'll continue on. this relationship. If
- 3:08Speaker 1: we want to, they left it up to us. And
- 3:10Speaker 1: we said, yeah, of course we'd like, we'd like to
- 3:13Speaker 1: do that.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Well, yeah, we will definitely be back. I'm excited to
- 3:19Speaker 4: be back at the ticket. Um, yeah, we're back to
- 3:23Speaker 4: doing this, which I don't mind.
- 3:25Speaker 3: I like it. I'm on a whole new shit.
- 3:26Speaker 1: So, and I can say that because I can, because
- 3:30Speaker 1: you can, you're not on, uh, You're not on FCC
- 3:36Speaker 1: radio waves. Yeah, yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 4: I'm not going to cause a storm or anything like that.
- 3:44Speaker 4: I'm just saying I can drop an F-bomb here and there,
- 3:47Speaker 4: S-bomb here and there.
- 3:48Speaker 3: So it's nice.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So the other thing we need to talk about is
- 3:53Speaker 1: the other podcast we were on formerly. I've been asked
- 3:57Speaker 1: about this because that podcast has had an episode since
- 4:01Speaker 1: we left and it's been without us our buddy, the
- 4:06Speaker 1: man known as Turo kind of intimated that, Hey, we'd
- 4:10Speaker 1: still be on that podcast, but we'd be doing the
- 4:13Speaker 1: sports side of it basically. And I don't know why
- 4:16Speaker 1: he said that's because that morning of when he was recording,
- 4:20Speaker 1: I said, no, it's going to be two pod, different podcasts.
- 4:22Speaker 1: It's not going to be the same pod doing two
- 4:24Speaker 1: different shows. It's just like, that's his podcast. It's a
- 4:28Speaker 1: comedy based podcast. Now, you know, we're, We've got to
- 4:32Speaker 1: continue the sports thing because that's what the people know
- 4:35Speaker 1: us as on being on the radio now. We have
- 4:38Speaker 1: followers and we really appreciate you guys, the P1, who
- 4:44Speaker 1: started listening to us on the ticket and are now here.
- 4:48Speaker 1: We've had a lot of responses, people asking us, where
- 4:50Speaker 1: are y'all going to be at? Well, this is it.
- 4:52Speaker 1: This is going to be the pod for football season.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Like I said, we'll be here and there on the
- 4:58Speaker 1: ticket when The opportunity presents itself. It almost presented itself
- 5:02Speaker 1: this weekend, but we couldn't do it. There was just
- 5:07Speaker 1: miscommunication on it.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think I wanted to make clear that
- 5:12Speaker 4: we are still friends. They were at my house last
- 5:15Speaker 4: Sunday for the first Cowboys game, which went terribly. Not
- 5:20Speaker 4: because of them, but just the Cowboys.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Yeah, we're still friends.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Yeah, we're still buddies.
- 5:24Speaker 3: At the end of the day, we still are.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I was asking him. I was like, hey, man. He goes,
- 5:29Speaker 1: do you get that? Because I'm getting that a lot.
- 5:31Speaker 1: And I guess it's because, you know, everybody's like, he
- 5:34Speaker 1: turned down. It made it seem like we kicked him out.
- 5:38Speaker 1: And I'm like, no, it was totally his decision. He
- 5:40Speaker 1: wanted out. And he said that even in the, I mean,
- 5:45Speaker 1: if you didn't listen to his other podcast, the other podcast,
- 5:48Speaker 1: he mentioned that, you know, yeah, it was totally his decision. Right.
- 5:53Speaker 4: And I think it might be a friendly competition just because,
- 5:58Speaker 4: you know, it's, at least for me, I know I'm
- 6:02Speaker 4: a little competitive, so it's kind of to see what,
- 6:05Speaker 4: to see how we.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Do against them. Not against them, but just how they
- 6:08Speaker 3: do and see. We'll see. I'm still wishing them well.
- 6:12Speaker 3: I want them to do well.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Yeah, we wish them well. It's a different podcast. It's
- 6:15Speaker 1: a different genre.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Yeah, we're all still friends and that's it.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. We're all good. All right, now that that's
- 6:22Speaker 1: out of the way, let's get to our first sponsor.
- 6:32Speaker 1: With the Texas heat being brutal this summer, it normally
- 6:34Speaker 1: takes a toll on your vehicle. If you are in
- 6:37Speaker 1: need of automotive service, American Auto Masters is your solution.
- 6:42Speaker 1: American Auto Masters located in Irving is your dealership alternative.
- 6:46Speaker 1: If you want an auto shop that's not going to
- 6:48Speaker 1: BS you, American Auto Masters is a shop for you.
- 6:52Speaker 1: These are straight shooters, man. They are such straight shooters
- 6:55Speaker 1: that they turn down business when they know it's detrimental
- 6:58Speaker 1: to you, the customer. Back three years ago, I bought
- 7:03Speaker 1: a new vehicle, an SUV to stroll around the missus
- 7:07Speaker 1: and my kid, the toddler. And I also had an
- 7:13Speaker 1: 08 Avenger that I still wanted to drive to work.
- 7:15Speaker 1: So three months after buying that new vehicle, the engine
- 7:19Speaker 1: light comes on in my Avenger. Take it to American
- 7:22Speaker 1: Auto Masters. They run a test on it. They say
- 7:24Speaker 1: it's the transmission. The transmission's deteriorating. And they told me
- 7:28Speaker 1: it's not worth it. Not worth it at all to
- 7:31Speaker 1: pump in money into this car. You already got a
- 7:33Speaker 1: new car. Don't worry about it. And it's not just
- 7:37Speaker 1: with me. I've seen it also. I saw a lady
- 7:40Speaker 1: once in the waiting room. Mechanic came in and said, hey,
- 7:44Speaker 1: there's nothing we can do for this car. It would
- 7:47Speaker 1: just be a waste of money. It's time for you
- 7:49Speaker 1: to get a new car. And he was like, if
- 7:53Speaker 1: you pump money into this, it's just going to be
- 7:55Speaker 1: giving you problems and just going to be a waste
- 7:57Speaker 1: of time. So that's what they do. American Auto Masters
- 8:00Speaker 1: located at 2219 East Grawweiler Road, Irving, Texas, 75061. 972-438-8859
- 8:03Speaker 1: is their phone number. That's 972-438-8859. Tell them Rene the
- 8:05Speaker 1: White Wolf sent you. American Auto Masters.
- 8:08Speaker 4: Servicing.
- 8:20Speaker 1: DFW since 1985. We sending out love!
- 8:26Speaker 4: Everybody have a happy football!
- 8:37Speaker 1: Have a happy football, our segment during football season about
- 8:42Speaker 1: the NFL. Well, there wasn't nothing happy about it, bro.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Because we witnessed... Just a disaster in the Meadowlands up
- 8:54Speaker 1: in MetLife. The Cowboys. Dude, I thought. 28-20.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Dude, I thought I was having a dream.
- 9:04Speaker 4: I thought it was like some sort of, I don't know,
- 9:07Speaker 4: virtual reality looking back at the same game that we
- 9:10Speaker 4: did last season. Not the same game because I think
- 9:13Speaker 4: last season we actually played.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Well against the Eagles and we could have won that game.
- 9:17Speaker 4: But this just looked exactly like a Matt Eberflus defense.
- 9:21Speaker 3: That was terrible.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Dude, I thought it was a Scooby-Doo show when they're
- 9:25Speaker 1: going to go to Christian Parker and say, unmask him.
- 9:28Speaker 1: It's Matt Eberflus still. Nothing changed.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Nothing. No, the only thing that changed was personnel. That's it.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Different players, you got some acquisitions, some additions, but nothing
- 9:43Speaker 4: changed at all.
- 9:45Speaker 1: No pass rush at Couldn't stop the run. Receivers wide open.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Miscommunication problems. Same as last year.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. I mean, everybody, I mean, and I hate
- 9:58Speaker 3: to say this because I really, I really.
- 10:00Speaker 4: like the pick of malachi lawrence but he he looks
- 10:02Speaker 4: slow he was always behind somebody running you know after
- 10:06Speaker 4: somebody he looked slow the only the only the only
- 10:09Speaker 4: new acquisition that looked good was was caleb down He had.
- 10:14Speaker 3: A great game.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and he had won.
- 10:15Speaker 3: They weren't going after him.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Yeah, they didn't go after him. They stayed away from him.
- 10:20Speaker 1: He had that beautiful sack. Yeah. Yeah, it just... Yeah,
- 10:26Speaker 1: I mean.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Everybody looked like they were.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I don't know what was going on.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Apparently, there was miscommunication and no communication at all. And
- 10:34Speaker 4: that's why they had the meeting.
- 10:35Speaker 3: What was it? On Tuesday or maybe Monday? I think
- 10:37Speaker 3: it was... Quentin Williams was involved.
- 10:40Speaker 4: I don't know if it was Rashawn Gary or Kenneth Clark.
- 10:43Speaker 4: They had to have a meeting and talk about whatever
- 10:46Speaker 4: they did. And they're talking about, like, we're in midseason.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Which is crazy because it's one game. I'm not willing
- 10:52Speaker 4: to put them down. I'm saying it's one game. You
- 10:54Speaker 4: look like shit.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Let's go back.
- 10:59Speaker 4: And, you know, talk about what went wrong and how
- 11:03Speaker 4: to improve it. But at the same time, it's like, oh,
- 11:05Speaker 4: should we be worried?
- 11:06Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know. Are you worried?
- 11:10Speaker 1: Dude... I'm so worried that I'm saying this Sunday is
- 11:15Speaker 1: a must-win. You've got to win. I've had them winning
- 11:22Speaker 1: the first two games, and then I had them losing
- 11:24Speaker 1: in Brazil just because it's Brazil. You're going overseas. You're
- 11:29Speaker 1: playing the Ravens. I figured they'd be 2-1 after three weeks.
- 11:33Speaker 1: You lose this game. Man, you're 0-2. They all become
- 11:38Speaker 1: must-wins after that. You've got to right the ship. And defensively,
- 11:43Speaker 1: they've got to right the ship. They've got to do
- 11:45Speaker 1: something about that.
- 11:49Speaker 4: Yeah, and now the Washington game on Sunday feels like
- 11:52Speaker 4: a must-win. You have to show up and win that game.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Because you don't want to go 0-2 against the Ravens
- 11:58Speaker 4: and then the Texans right after that.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Dude, the plays that pissed me off was when they
- 12:09Speaker 1: got to 28th. The three checkdowns to the left flat.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Just to the running back, Tracy.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Dude, oh my God.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Three checkdowns flat, wide open. He ran for every, it
- 12:24Speaker 1: was first down, first down, touchdown.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Can it stop? It just sucks.
- 12:32Speaker 4: It feels like the Giants knew, like, they can't stop this,
- 12:34Speaker 4: so let's just keep doing it.
- 12:36Speaker 3: And they did it. Yeah. Yeah. Yes, it was a
- 12:40Speaker 3: 28-20 game, but it felt worse than that. It felt
- 12:43Speaker 3: worse than 28-20.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Gotti, man. Gotti, why'd you do that if the offense
- 12:53Speaker 1: had some troubles? CD, George Pickens with two drops.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:02Speaker 1: It was bad. Dak with the terrible interception at halftime.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, even the Javante Williams touchdown, like, you
- 13:14Speaker 4: taunt the guy when you're down two touchdowns. I think
- 13:17Speaker 4: it was a 28-10 at that time or 28-7, whatever
- 13:20Speaker 4: it was, and he taunts the guy.
- 13:21Speaker 3: He got fined, by the way. Yeah. It was 28-14. Yeah,
- 13:25Speaker 3: and they just looked undisciplined, dude.
- 13:27Speaker 4: They looked undisciplined. They looked like they didn't know what
- 13:29Speaker 4: they were doing. I was listening to the ticket the
- 13:33Speaker 4: other day. I forgot who said it. And they were like,
- 13:36Speaker 4: do you think that maybe some of the starters should
- 13:39Speaker 4: have played in preseason?
- 13:43Speaker 1: I've been a proponent of that because the exception was
- 13:48Speaker 1: last year. They looked good in Philadelphia. CD had some drops, though,
- 13:54Speaker 1: and that's what cost them the game. But they always,
- 13:59Speaker 1: the first game of the year, it seems like they
- 14:01Speaker 1: play really bad and then they get, I mean, I
- 14:04Speaker 1: remember that Tampa game one year where it was awful
- 14:09Speaker 1: and then Dak got hurt that game.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, other than that not getting hurt, everything
- 14:18Speaker 3: went the other way.
- 14:19Speaker 4: And I think, you know, that to me, one of
- 14:22Speaker 4: the things that kind of set up the mood for
- 14:23Speaker 4: that game was not going for it on that fourth
- 14:27Speaker 4: and inches.
- 14:28Speaker 3: What were you doing? What are you thinking? Yeah. Take
- 14:33Speaker 3: the penalty, delay a game, and then you go back
- 14:34Speaker 3: and then you punt it. Like, what? Go for it.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know.
- 14:41Speaker 4: I think this is an everybody... including Shottie, and they've
- 14:45Speaker 4: got to fix some stuff.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Is Christian Parker up in the booth to begin in
- 14:53Speaker 1: the second game?
- 14:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I think I was on Twitter, or
- 15:02Speaker 4: I don't know where it was, but it was like, oh, well, oh,
- 15:06Speaker 4: I think, actually, I think it was Brad Shen. It
- 15:08Speaker 4: was like, well, they haven't played together at all, and then...
- 15:11Speaker 4: whoever was interviewing them was like, well, the Giants haven't
- 15:15Speaker 4: played together either, so what do you mean? Like, why
- 15:18Speaker 4: is this an excuse for the Cowboys but not for
- 15:20Speaker 4: the other team? Because they showed up and just punched you.
- 15:22Speaker 3: In the mouth.
- 15:24Speaker 4: And, you know, I was saying Sunday, I was upset,
- 15:26Speaker 4: and I'm like, they showed up with all the hype.
- 15:30Speaker 4: I think they took the hype that it was around
- 15:32Speaker 4: the offseason and this and that and the discipline and the,
- 15:36Speaker 4: you know, the extracurricular activities they did where, They were
- 15:39Speaker 4: running after practice and that kind of thing. It was like, dude,
- 15:43Speaker 4: all that didn't show at all on Sunday. They straight
- 15:47Speaker 4: up got punched in the mouth. And that's it. And
- 15:51Speaker 4: you sucked that game.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Everybody was saying, oh, Super Bowl and this and this
- 15:58Speaker 3: and that. I don't know about Super Bowl now. I
- 16:02Speaker 3: had them at 12-5.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yeah, you had them in the Super Bowl. I said
- 16:04Speaker 1: I wanted to see. And I kept saying all offseason,
- 16:07Speaker 1: all training camp. If this defense is 50% better than
- 16:13Speaker 1: what it was last year, they're going to win some
- 16:15Speaker 1: more games. Dude, they weren't even 10% better on Sunday.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:23Speaker 4: I mean, and Vaughn Miller was a non-factor. He only
- 16:26Speaker 4: had five. I think he only had five snaps to
- 16:30Speaker 4: rush the passer. And nobody showed up. Quentin Williams, he
- 16:36Speaker 4: was nowhere to be found.
- 16:37Speaker 1: He had just the fumble, the punch, but way downfield.
- 16:40Speaker 3: And Overshawn got hurt.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Overshawn's hurt. Malik Hooker's hurt.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Malik Hooker broke his elbow.
- 16:50Speaker 1: So what now? Who wears the green dot now? You're
- 16:56Speaker 1: going to trust the rookie? You're going to trust either rookie, Downs,
- 17:00Speaker 1: or Barham?
- 17:02Speaker 3: No, I think they want.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Or Dean Winters.
- 17:07Speaker 4: I think they want Caleb Downs to be closer to
- 17:09Speaker 4: the line of scrimmage. So I think they're going to
- 17:12Speaker 4: keep him in the nickel and have P.J. Locke at safety.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Which I like. I'm good with that.
- 17:20Speaker 1: But who wears the green dot if Overshawn's out?
- 17:29Speaker 3: Caleb Downs?
- 17:31Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. You're going to have to give
- 17:33Speaker 1: it to one of the rookies, Downs or Barham. Or
- 17:36Speaker 1: just do you give it to Dean Winters? Dean Winters
- 17:38Speaker 1: didn't look good either.
- 17:40Speaker 4: You know, as much as I like Barham, you know,
- 17:44Speaker 4: the preseason win, the green dot and all that, he
- 17:46Speaker 4: looked amazing.
- 17:47Speaker 3: But, man, he looked like he did. There was no
- 17:52Speaker 3: effort from him.
- 17:53Speaker 4: I don't know what it was. I don't know what was.
- 17:55Speaker 4: And not only him, just the whole team.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Well, he looked like he didn't know where he was.
- 18:00Speaker 1: There was plenty of times he was just looking around like, what? What?
- 18:03Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 18:04Speaker 3: And then there's.
- 18:05Speaker 1: He jumped way off sides.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Yeah, and then the Russian touchdown, I don't know if
- 18:12Speaker 4: it was Skadable or the other running back, but he
- 18:15Speaker 4: was close, and then he just decided.
- 18:17Speaker 3: To slow down. I don't know what it is. I
- 18:19Speaker 3: don't know what it was. I don't know. It's just.
- 18:22Speaker 4: I think they need to go out there and sign
- 18:24Speaker 4: a veteran linebacker right now.
- 18:26Speaker 3: You have to kind of unless you want to bring
- 18:29Speaker 3: up what's his name?
- 18:33Speaker 4: Baron.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Bring him up. I think he's still with the team, right?
- 18:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Or you call Miami and say, what do you want
- 18:42Speaker 3: for Jordan Brooks?
- 18:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I ain't going nowhere. Yeah. Yeah, what do you.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Want for Jordan Brooks? I'll give him a second.
- 18:52Speaker 4: He already has a contract. Yeah, I think it's like
- 18:55Speaker 4: $ 35 million guaranteed. But at this point, we need to
- 18:59Speaker 4: help a linebacker. I think that's the weakest position in
- 19:02Speaker 4: this defense, the linebackers. I came into the season feeling
- 19:07Speaker 4: pretty good about it.
- 19:09Speaker 3: But now I'm like, nah. I don't know what's going on,
- 19:14Speaker 3: but we'll see.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, it's a must win, man. It's a must win.
- 19:26Speaker 1: There's just no way around it. You go, you lose
- 19:30Speaker 1: to the commanders here at home. And you go 0-2
- 19:35Speaker 1: and everybody's going to be asking for Shoddy gone. It's
- 19:40Speaker 1: not working. It just isn't working. All this preaching and
- 19:45Speaker 1: the culture change and everything. I mean, here's the thing.
- 19:50Speaker 1: the thing. You only play 17 games a day. So,
- 19:56Speaker 1: you know, losing two in a row, that's a big
- 19:59Speaker 1: thing in the NFL. And especially to begin 0-2, I mean,
- 20:05Speaker 1: you're going to have to put a run together. And
- 20:08Speaker 1: especially two divisional games. That's the thing. Everybody thought, okay,
- 20:15Speaker 1: they can probably beat the Giants twice, beat the Commanders twice,
- 20:22Speaker 1: split with Philly, and that's enough to win the other games.
- 20:27Speaker 1: That's enough to win the division. That's five games there. Well,
- 20:32Speaker 1: you just lost one of those games. So you can't
- 20:36Speaker 1: afford to lose another one, especially the home game.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, you talk about the division games.
- 20:45Speaker 4: I think now you feel more pressure now to sweep
- 20:48Speaker 4: the Eagles. You have to sweep the Eagles now. And
- 20:52Speaker 4: win the next one in Dallas against the Giants. But
- 20:55Speaker 4: now you're going to have to sweep the Eagles because
- 20:57Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Who knows? I mean, the command is running all over you.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:04Speaker 4: I don't know, man. It was a terrible game. The
- 21:08Speaker 4: one thing I wasn't concerned was the offense. Now I'm
- 21:12Speaker 4: a little bit concerned, but there was one positive coming
- 21:15Speaker 4: out from the offense, and that's Tyler Guyton.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I think he held his own. He only gave up
- 21:20Speaker 3: two pressures through the whole game.
- 21:23Speaker 4: So, and I think the middle, the inside offensive line,
- 21:30Speaker 4: I think they did a good job. But at the
- 21:33Speaker 4: same time, just the offense is like, dude, what are
- 21:35Speaker 4: you doing? CD didn't look confident at all. George Topeka
- 21:38Speaker 4: is a little confident. I don't know if it's just
- 21:41Speaker 4: all the hype got to them.
- 21:43Speaker 3: That's my thing.
- 21:43Speaker 4: It's like, they came in. They're like, yeah, we're the Cowboys.
- 21:46Speaker 4: We got this new look, B fans, and blah, blah, blah,
- 21:48Speaker 4: and all this stuff.
- 21:49Speaker 3: And then, oh, shit. Here comes Cam Skadable and just
- 21:55Speaker 3: running all over people. Then it flat. It was bad.
- 21:59Speaker 3: And then Malik Nabors just comes in and tears you apart.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Isaiah Likely. Isaiah Likely. Just... Yeah? Shh. ripping you to shreds, man.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Shredding your defense. Wide open. That's the thing. They were
- 22:13Speaker 1: wide open. None of these were, oh, great catch. Oh,
- 22:17Speaker 1: what a throw that he put it right where it
- 22:19Speaker 1: only was received. No, the guy was wide open. It
- 22:21Speaker 1: looked like a, it looked like college where the guy's
- 22:24Speaker 1: wide open. There's nobody next to him for three, four yards.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Yeah, and then I heard, I don't even want to
- 22:34Speaker 4: say his name because I can't stand that, uh, Sean McCoy,
- 22:40Speaker 4: he talked about you have an intern for a defensive coordinator.
- 22:46Speaker 3: And, I mean, as much as that pisses me off,
- 22:49Speaker 3: I'm like.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Everybody was high on Parker.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Everyone.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Nobody was like, oh, this is a bad high. Everybody
- 22:56Speaker 1: was like, wow, they got Christian Parker.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Everyone.
- 23:01Speaker 1: But it might be just the personnel, dude. Where was
- 23:04Speaker 1: Von Miller?
- 23:09Speaker 3: What was who?
- 23:10Speaker 1: Von Miller. Where was he?
- 23:13Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. Von Miller, he was a non-factor.
- 23:16Speaker 3: But he only played, like I said, five.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I saw him only when they showed him that, hey,
- 23:20Speaker 1: Von Miller's on the field now. Yeah, but I never know.
- 23:25Speaker 1: There was no pressure. Nobody even got close. That's the thing.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Nobody got close.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Yeah. Was Caleb Downs the only one that had a
- 23:37Speaker 3: sack that game?
- 23:38Speaker 1: They had two sacks. They had one where just Dart
- 23:40Speaker 1: held it on too long and was trying to run it.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Oh, and another thing, speaking of two, speaking of number two,
- 23:46Speaker 3: I'm going to go Sesame Street here.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Speaking of the number two, they only had two offensive possessions.
- 23:53Speaker 3: In the second half, bro.
- 23:57Speaker 1: I know, two.
- 23:59Speaker 3: Two offensive possessions. Think about that. What is that? The
- 24:02Speaker 3: defense cannot get off the field.
- 24:04Speaker 1: The time of possession was all in favor of the Giants.
- 24:08Speaker 1: What did they do? Double it? Close to triple it?
- 24:13Speaker 1: It was insane.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Well, at least they're two for two in the second half.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, two possessions, two touchdowns.
- 24:24Speaker 3: And, you know, another thing that I.
- 24:26Speaker 4: Heard, CeeDee Lamb talked, like, he acted surprised when they said,
- 24:30Speaker 4: you only have two offensive possessions.
- 24:31Speaker 1: He goes, what, two? Really? Really? I didn't know that.
- 24:34Speaker 3: What are you doing? Are you not aware of what's
- 24:35Speaker 3: going on in the game? What's up with you guys?
- 24:38Speaker 4: I think they just took, they just took, they just took,
- 24:42Speaker 4: like I said, once again, they took the hype that they,
- 24:45Speaker 4: that everybody, everybody, including myself, I'm guilty of it. They
- 24:51Speaker 4: get the hype and they took it and they just wanted,
- 24:53Speaker 4: they thought, oh, I'm just going to show up.
- 24:56Speaker 3: And we're going to beat the shit out of them.
- 24:59Speaker 3: And they, no, you didn't. I had them winning like
- 25:04Speaker 3: 36 to 13 or something like that.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:09Speaker 1: You had them big. I had them winning that game.
- 25:12Speaker 1: I was, like, the first drive when it was 7-0, everybody,
- 25:19Speaker 1: people texting me, you know, and I'm telling, I'm on
- 25:22Speaker 1: another group chat, and I'm, like, telling them, relax. It's early.
- 25:26Speaker 1: It's early. I'm telling my brother, relax. It's early. It's early.
- 25:29Speaker 1: We'll get it back. And we just, we could never
- 25:32Speaker 1: get it back. It just kept snowballing and snowballing and snowballing.
- 25:39Speaker 1: It just is what it is, man.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Yeah, man. I mean, I don't think there's anything else
- 25:43Speaker 3: to say. They just.
- 25:45Speaker 4: They shit the bed. They thought they were going to
- 25:48Speaker 4: walk in and beat the Giants. And the Giants had...
- 25:50Speaker 4: I mean, oh my goodness. Jackson Dart, dude. Like, he
- 25:54Speaker 4: was Peyton Manning or something like that.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Eli Manning. Like, what the fuck? But, yeah. It was...
- 26:01Speaker 3: It was a beatdown.
- 26:03Speaker 4: It's definitely a must-win game against Washington. You got NFL
- 26:06Speaker 4: Game of the Week on Fox. You better show up
- 26:10Speaker 4: or you're going to go down 0-2. And then with
- 26:13Speaker 4: the way that Derrick Henry ran on Sunday, you guys
- 26:18Speaker 4: might get smacked in the mouth again in Brazil.
- 26:22Speaker 3: And then after that, it's Houston.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Let's move on to the NFL, the rest of the NFL. Man,
- 26:33Speaker 1: I was really shocked that Kansas City dominated the Denver
- 26:37Speaker 1: Broncos the way they did. I did not think Kenneth
- 26:39Speaker 1: Walker was going to be that big of a factor
- 26:43Speaker 1: for them.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, didn't they lose their defensive coordinator as well?
- 26:51Speaker 4: Because that's one of the candidates that.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Cowboys had in mind.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Did he go somewhere? I can't remember.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Yeah, the defensive coordinator had... I forgot his name. He
- 27:02Speaker 3: was a big name. He was a big name during the.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Still, they're running the same defense.
- 27:06Speaker 4: They ran.
- 27:08Speaker 1: the year before. They still got all the same pieces.
- 27:11Speaker 1: What did they lose? Just P.J.
- 27:12Speaker 4: Locke?
- 27:13Speaker 1: Is that the only one they lost? I don't think
- 27:15Speaker 1: they lost anybody big. They still had all the pieces. Yeah,
- 27:18Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know. Dude, they got... That was shredded.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I mean, that was your pick to win the division,
- 27:25Speaker 1: the Broncos, because you said you still believe in that defense.
- 27:30Speaker 1: And I had the Chargers winning it. The Chargers... got
- 27:35Speaker 1: beat by the Cardinals and I had the Chiefs coming
- 27:38Speaker 1: in third but making the last wild card spot but
- 27:41Speaker 1: man the Chiefs it might be their division again yeah.
- 27:44Speaker 3: But I think.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Yeah but I think just like the Cowboys I don't
- 27:49Speaker 4: it's week one yes they showed up they did they
- 27:52Speaker 4: did this and they did that Cowboys got smacked in
- 27:54Speaker 4: the mouth Broncos did as well this this and all
- 27:56Speaker 4: that I mean Green Bay lost too yeah Green Bay
- 28:01Speaker 4: lost to the Vikings but With Carson Wentz. Mind you,
- 28:08Speaker 4: Carson Wentz was the backup quarterback after Kyler Murray went out, but.
- 28:16Speaker 3: I'm just not ready to... I'm not ready to say
- 28:20Speaker 3: anything with week one.
- 28:23Speaker 1: To me, it was just the way they lost.
- 28:25Speaker 3: That was a big test for the Broncos.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Yeah, the way they lost. I mean, they weren't even close.
- 28:31Speaker 1: They just got manhandled. They got bullied. That was crazy.
- 28:38Speaker 1: But yeah, I just thought it is what it is, man.
- 28:43Speaker 1: The Chiefs might be back. After missing the playoffs last year,
- 28:49Speaker 1: they might be again one of the top teams in
- 28:52Speaker 1: the AFC just with the addition of Kenneth Walker. I
- 28:56Speaker 1: will say this. I think Xavier Worthy is going to
- 28:59Speaker 1: get dealt. Because it doesn't seem to be. Xavier Worthy,
- 29:03Speaker 1: I think he's going to get dealt.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Because it's not working, man. It's not working. That interception
- 29:09Speaker 1: that Mahomes threw, Worthy didn't, he wasn't even paying attention
- 29:14Speaker 1: to the ball. And it's like they don't know how
- 29:17Speaker 1: to use him. It's like he doesn't know the playbook.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on there, but I think
- 29:22Speaker 1: they might cut bait.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Yeah, Kenneth Walker was a big difference in the game.
- 29:28Speaker 3: And they needed that. I think the Chiefs needed that
- 29:32Speaker 3: running game.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Yeah, man.
- 29:37Speaker 3: I mean, Pat Mahomes didn't look bad.
- 29:40Speaker 1: No, he didn't look bad. He looked serviceable. I mean,
- 29:42Speaker 1: he looked like Pat Mahomes. He had a rushing touchdown.
- 29:44Speaker 1: He didn't throw for much. I mean, he had the
- 29:48Speaker 1: big strike to Kelsey that Kelsey got free on.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like people were giving up on Pat.
- 29:59Speaker 1: I don't think it's giving up on Pat. I think
- 30:00Speaker 1: it's the team around him. I mean, it feels like
- 30:05Speaker 1: they just decided that we got Pat Mahomes. We don't
- 30:08Speaker 1: really need to add receivers. Rashid Rice as well. We
- 30:14Speaker 1: got Drafted Worthy. I mean, they tried Hollywood Brown. They
- 30:20Speaker 1: tried Juju Smith. They've tried different combinations ever since Tyreek left.
- 30:27Speaker 1: And I just don't think it's working. But, I mean,
- 30:30Speaker 1: it looks like all they needed was a running back.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:36Speaker 4: And, again, I mean, Pat Mahomes is only going to
- 30:39Speaker 4: turn 30.
- 30:41Speaker 3: I mean, 31 in September. Tomorrow, actually.
- 30:45Speaker 4: So, I just feel like people were trying to give
- 30:46Speaker 4: up on him. It's like, oh, he won three Super Bowls,
- 30:50Speaker 4: two MVPs.
- 30:51Speaker 3: He's done. He's not done. Pat Mahomes is Pat Mahomes. Now, Kelsey,
- 30:58Speaker 3: you know, it might be there for him.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Yeah, he hasn't been good in two years, man. In
- 31:05Speaker 1: two years, he hasn't been good. I mean, Travis Kelsey, yeah,
- 31:10Speaker 1: he hasn't been good in two years. In the Super
- 31:12Speaker 1: Bowl year, where they lost to the Eagles, he was okay.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Last year, he was not good. He was not one
- 31:18Speaker 1: of the top guys at tight end anymore.
- 31:21Speaker 3: I think it was.
- 31:26Speaker 4: I think it was the engagement situation last year that
- 31:28Speaker 4: got to him.
- 31:29Speaker 1: He was too distracted. He was too distracted. Bears-Panthers, what
- 31:34Speaker 1: a high score that was. Swift, man, the running back,
- 31:39Speaker 1: he just went off. So did Caleb Williams.
- 31:43Speaker 4: Yeah. It was a good day overall, though, for Longhorns.
- 31:47Speaker 4: I mean, Michael Taft had a hell of a game.
- 31:52Speaker 4: Malik Muhammad had an interception. You know who looked really
- 31:58Speaker 4: good though?
- 31:59Speaker 1: Who?
- 31:59Speaker 3: Jacob Rodriguez. I know he's at a wrong one, but
- 32:01Speaker 3: he looked really good.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Oh, did he? He's with the Colts, right? Who's he with?
- 32:09Speaker 3: Who's what?
- 32:09Speaker 1: Who's Jacob Rodriguez with? I forgot who he went to.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Where'd he go?
- 32:17Speaker 1: Yeah. Who drafted him? I forgot.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Miami.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Miami, okay. I thought it was the Colts for some reason.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Why did I think it was the Colts?
- 32:23Speaker 3: He was Green Dot. Oh, no.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Man, Miami's got some issues, though.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Miami. I mean, they... Did they win? I
- 32:37Speaker 3: don't remember if they.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Won or not. No, they got beat by the Raiders. Yeah,
- 32:43Speaker 1: they got beat by the Raiders. Ashton Gentry went off.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Yeah, Gentry had, what, 102 yards rushing?
- 32:52Speaker 1: He had 102 yards rushing, and he had two receiving scores. So, yeah,
- 32:58Speaker 1: he was really good.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Yeah, that was a good running back since week. And
- 33:05Speaker 4: I thought, oh, shit, what is going on? I mean, obviously,
- 33:08Speaker 4: Jameer Gibbs had a.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Hell of a game.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Derrick Henry had a hell of a game.
- 33:12Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know. Even Chicago looked really good.
- 33:17Speaker 3: They scored 59 points.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a big game. Did you think the
- 33:24Speaker 1: Rams made a bad move by... Showing up the day
- 33:28Speaker 1: before to Australia to play the 49ers.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Oh, the 49ers? Yeah.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Do you think the Rams made a bad move?
- 33:39Speaker 3: You're talking about the first round play?
- 33:45Speaker 1: No, Rams. They made a bad move traveling down there
- 33:51Speaker 1: late the day before in Australia.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I thought that was dumb. Like, why would you do that?
- 33:59Speaker 1: The 49ers were there for a week, got acclimated, and
- 34:02Speaker 1: it showed.
- 34:03Speaker 3: It looked.
- 34:04Speaker 1: McVay said it had nothing to do with that, but, man,
- 34:06Speaker 1: I don't know. Oh, yeah.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean.
- 34:13Speaker 3: The 49ers were all kind of messed up anyway.
- 34:15Speaker 4: I mean, even the first-round pick, receiver that they picked, whoever, Sterling, Sterling,
- 34:20Speaker 4: whatever his name is, he's already out.
- 34:22Speaker 3: He had to have knee surgery.
- 34:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:25Speaker 3: So he's already out for at least 10 games.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Mike Evans looked good, though.
- 34:30Speaker 3: What's his name? What's his name? Kalen Brown or whatever?
- 34:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:34Speaker 3: The backup running back? He looked pretty good.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:38Speaker 3: I was trying to pick him up during fantasy, but
- 34:43Speaker 3: I think somebody beat me to it.
- 34:49Speaker 1: I was getting into a little college football as everybody
- 34:54Speaker 1: was watching 14 million viewers watched the Texas Longhorns' stunning
- 35:02Speaker 1: comeback over the Ohio State Buckeyes. 24-3, they were down
- 35:09Speaker 1: 23-3 going into the fourth quarter. Bro, that game there,
- 35:17Speaker 1: it was a signature win for Sark, I believe. Signature win.
- 35:25Speaker 3: I mean, game of the year so far. Yeah.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Peaked at 60 million viewers.
- 35:30Speaker 3: I'm not going to lie.
- 35:34Speaker 4: I texted you halfway through the third and I said,
- 35:37Speaker 4: that's game. When Jeremiah Smith had that catch, I said,
- 35:40Speaker 4: that's game.
- 35:42Speaker 3: But obviously it wasn't.
- 35:44Speaker 1: It was the last catch he had because in the
- 35:46Speaker 1: last 23 minutes, he did not have a catch.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that might have been his last catch.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Because everything else was really well covered. I don't know
- 35:58Speaker 3: what Muschamp went.
- 35:59Speaker 1: He made the adjustment, man.
- 36:00Speaker 3: I saw a video on Twitter, on the socials.
- 36:04Speaker 1: They made an adjustment.
- 36:08Speaker 4: Yeah, they had to do shit. The way they look.
- 36:12Speaker 4: I mean, I don't think this was an Arch Manning win,
- 36:21Speaker 4: even though he's a quarterback and all that. Because he
- 36:23Speaker 4: only threw for 195 yards, right?
- 36:26Speaker 1: Yeah, but most of it was in the second half,
- 36:28Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter. He only had 70 in the
- 36:31Speaker 1: first half.
- 36:36Speaker 3: I mean, I think he went 11 for 17 in
- 36:38Speaker 3: the second half.
- 36:42Speaker 4: He finished strong, but I think this game was the
- 36:45Speaker 4: Hollywood Smothers game, man.
- 36:48Speaker 3: He was running.
- 36:49Speaker 1: And Rolique Brown. Rolique Brown and the Smothers, the two
- 36:53Speaker 1: transfer running backs, showed... What Texas has been missing the
- 36:57Speaker 1: past couple years with Wisner and Jared Gibson, it showed, man.
- 37:07Speaker 4: Yeah, and I was talking to, I mentioned a couple
- 37:11Speaker 4: times on the radio, Cousin BC, he was at the game.
- 37:15Speaker 4: He was saying, because he was like, oh, he commented
- 37:17Speaker 4: on one of the post-it posts.
- 37:19Speaker 3: He said, that was a hell of a game. I
- 37:20Speaker 3: was like, you mean hell of a four quarters? He's like,
- 37:24Speaker 3: you ain't lying.
- 37:25Speaker 4: He said that because I told him, I was like, dude,
- 37:28Speaker 4: after the Jeremiah Smith catch, that was it for me.
- 37:31Speaker 3: And he was like, same.
- 37:33Speaker 4: He said he got up, went, got up a seat,
- 37:36Speaker 4: went to, I don't know if he went to the bathroom,
- 37:38Speaker 4: but went to the concourse or whatever. And he said,
- 37:41Speaker 4: I was.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Just waiting to hear a touchdown and a cheer for
- 37:46Speaker 3: Ohio State. And he did it. He was like, okay.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Then he went back and sat in his chair and
- 37:52Speaker 3: that was it.
- 37:53Speaker 4: But I'm just saying, like, I don't think, I think
- 37:56Speaker 4: a lot of people kind of didn't give up. They
- 37:58Speaker 4: were just like, okay, that's game. They were just like, whatever.
- 38:02Speaker 4: Except for you, apparently.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought there was plenty of time. And, look,
- 38:10Speaker 1: Brown fumbles to start the game. That, you know, that just,
- 38:15Speaker 1: that put a killer in it. He, just the first
- 38:21Speaker 1: play of the game to fumble. Changes everything. But the
- 38:24Speaker 1: defense holds to a field goal. And then you're driving down.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Manning has a wide open Cam Coleman. Throws it. Everybody
- 38:34Speaker 1: thinks he overthrew it. He didn't overthrow it. Cam stumbled.
- 38:37Speaker 1: I went back and looked at it. He stumbled. He
- 38:40Speaker 1: hit his feet together and stumbled. And he goes down
- 38:45Speaker 1: with the ball. But the ball doesn't catch it. Pops
- 38:47Speaker 1: up right into the cornerback's hand. The cornerback runs. Runs
- 38:52Speaker 1: it back for, like, what, 20 yards, I believe? But
- 38:57Speaker 1: then think about that. If Cam Coleman makes that catch,
- 39:02Speaker 1: they're at the 17. If he doesn't fall, that's a
- 39:05Speaker 1: breakaway touchdown. It's 7-3. And then, but because of that,
- 39:10Speaker 1: they score. Ohio State puts together a drive touchdown. And
- 39:15Speaker 1: then next time around, we go, what, I believe it
- 39:18Speaker 1: was a 3-and-out. Then Ohio State's driving. Fourth and two
- 39:24Speaker 1: in our territory. They're stuffed with 1333 left. And then
- 39:29Speaker 1: we put a drive together. Wingo drops a touchdown right
- 39:35Speaker 1: in his hands with 823 left. We settle for a
- 39:39Speaker 1: field goal. It's 10-3 instead of 10-7. Then Colin Simmons
- 39:40Speaker 1: sacks Slavin And they kick a field goal to make
- 39:54Speaker 1: it 13-3 with under two minutes left. I don't know.
- 39:58Speaker 1: We get fourth and one. I don't know what that
- 40:01Speaker 1: play call was to Wingo. To me, that was a
- 40:05Speaker 1: terrible play call, the end of round.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:08Speaker 1: I thought, I always say it on fourth and one,
- 40:10Speaker 1: fourth and two, I always go RPO. Make them think run.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Either you can, if the run's not there, you can
- 40:18Speaker 1: pull it back, throw a pass. Or, Arch can run it.
- 40:23Speaker 1: I love that RPO play. They didn't do it. They
- 40:25Speaker 1: didn't end a round. Get stopped. 54 left in our territory.
- 40:31Speaker 1: And what does they do? They score right away to
- 40:34Speaker 1: Jeremiah Smith. They go up 23-3. And then second half,
- 40:38Speaker 1: Muschamp made the adjustment, man, because we held them to
- 40:42Speaker 1: three points in the second half. That was the game.
- 40:47Speaker 1: It's 20-3 in the first half. The second half was
- 40:52Speaker 1: 21-3 Texas. And that's the game.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Right, yeah. I mean, like you said, Manning definitely got
- 41:01Speaker 3: screwed by his receivers a couple times.
- 41:02Speaker 4: If not, I think it starts with the Cam Coleman interception.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Interception, quote-unquote, because how does that ball not touch the ground?
- 41:14Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:15Speaker 3: And it just bounced right to... And the DB... He
- 41:21Speaker 3: got beat, and he still ended up with the interception. Like,
- 41:24Speaker 3: what the fuck? So, yeah, I mean.
- 41:27Speaker 1: The whole game turned around for me on that fourth
- 41:31Speaker 1: and nine conversion to Winston, the tight end. I was like, oh,
- 41:36Speaker 1: my God. And once they made that, I told my brother, like,
- 41:39Speaker 1: I texted him, like, hey, that's going to turn the
- 41:42Speaker 1: game around. Watch. And then Wingo scores the TD. And
- 41:46Speaker 1: then with the two. Wingo scores the TD right after...
- 41:54Speaker 1: right at the start of the fourth. Three and out. 12.54 left.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Niblet muffs a punt. Almost gave it away. That could
- 42:05Speaker 1: have cost him. Mosley, a catch fumble that Coleman saves.
- 42:10Speaker 1: And then another fourth and six to Mosley with 11.44 left.
- 42:14Speaker 1: And Smothers walks in, makes it 23-17. And Once the
- 42:19Speaker 1: tight end was wide open, was just left wide open,
- 42:25Speaker 1: and he hits it, and you're like, oh, my God, dude.
- 42:33Speaker 1: I thought that was it. I was like, that was it?
- 42:35Speaker 1: I thought that was it. And then they have a
- 42:38Speaker 1: third and four, which looking back on it, on that
- 42:43Speaker 1: third and four pass to Jeremiah Smith in the end
- 42:45Speaker 1: zone that he doesn't catch, The left tackle moved early.
- 42:49Speaker 1: And they missed it. And then that's where they go
- 42:51Speaker 1: for the field goal. And the missed field goal. As
- 42:54Speaker 1: soon as that missed field goal with 425 left, I said,
- 42:57Speaker 1: they're winning this game. They just can't leave too much
- 43:01Speaker 1: time on the clock. They got to second and goal, dude,
- 43:04Speaker 1: with 53 seconds. And Smothers was like saying, hey, I scored,
- 43:08Speaker 1: I scored. I'm glad we lost that review. That it
- 43:13Speaker 1: was inconclusive. And they said, no, second down because I
- 43:17Speaker 1: wanted as little time on the clock. When they scored
- 43:20Speaker 1: with 25 seconds left, I was like, they're going to
- 43:22Speaker 1: win this. They can't get close. And the Ohio State's
- 43:29Speaker 1: kicker just showed that you need to get really close.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Because he just shanked it. You need to get really
- 43:37Speaker 1: close for him to feel good about it.
- 43:38Speaker 4: Again, I think this is kudos to the world's most
- 43:41Speaker 4: champion making adjustments at halftime and came out and they
- 43:44Speaker 4: did their thing.
- 43:45Speaker 3: I mean, compared to the Cowboys, they actually adjusted.
- 43:47Speaker 4: Yeah, dude, and then you got them, and then the
- 43:52Speaker 4: day after, when was it, Sunday or Monday, when they
- 43:54Speaker 4: were like, okay, number one.
- 43:56Speaker 3: And Ohio State dropped to six, I believe. Yeah.
- 44:00Speaker 1: They dropped to six.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Ohio State, and then you got, yeah.
- 44:05Speaker 4: So.
- 44:07Speaker 1: I think Ryan Day.
- 44:08Speaker 3: They can't, I mean, was that?
- 44:11Speaker 1: I think OSU, Ohio State, They made a big mistake
- 44:15Speaker 1: not letting them score right away. Just let them score.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Keep as much time on the clock because you just
- 44:21Speaker 1: need a field goal. You need to get in position
- 44:24Speaker 1: for it. I know the kicker just missed, but I
- 44:28Speaker 1: think Ryan Day was reliving the Cotton Bowl and the
- 44:32Speaker 1: stop they had. But you don't have Caleb Downs. You
- 44:35Speaker 1: don't have Arville Reese. You don't have Sonny Stiles anymore.
- 44:40Speaker 1: And I think he made a big mistake saying defense
- 44:44Speaker 1: go stop them, and when they don't, there's 25 seconds
- 44:47Speaker 1: left on the clock. I just thought that was a
- 44:50Speaker 1: dumb move.
- 44:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. It was a hell of a game.
- 44:53Speaker 3: It was a hell of an atmosphere towards the end, obviously,
- 44:55Speaker 3: and then.
- 44:57Speaker 4: You win the game, now you're number one. So now
- 44:59Speaker 4: you're the team to beat. Now you've got to beat
- 45:01Speaker 4: UTSA tomorrow night.
- 45:02Speaker 3: I mean, I keep thinking.
- 45:04Speaker 1: UTSA Antonio.
- 45:05Speaker 4: Saturday night, 7 o'clock, you've got to just go out
- 45:09Speaker 4: there and beat the crap out of them and have
- 45:13Speaker 4: Either Diabell.
- 45:16Speaker 3: Or other backup. Lacey.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:19Speaker 3: Like in the fourth quarter or halfway through the third.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Just show.
- 45:24Speaker 4: You're the number one team. You're the team to beat. Obviously,
- 45:27Speaker 4: when you get to SEC play, it's going to get
- 45:28Speaker 4: a little bit difficult, obviously.
- 45:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Just because conference play.
- 45:33Speaker 4: But you've got to– I don't necessarily want to say
- 45:35Speaker 4: that you have to run the table, but you've just
- 45:38Speaker 4: got to beat teams– convincingly, you just have to beat
- 45:44Speaker 4: the shit out of teams that you need to beat.
- 45:47Speaker 3: Everybody is after that.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I think now you can lose two games.
- 45:50Speaker 3: Oklahoma lost already.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Well, let's get to that. Oklahoma and Michigan and Oklahoma.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Everybody's talk, Sooners have been saying that Arch isn't good. Well,
- 46:02Speaker 1: they just got a reality check. John Mateer is not good.
- 46:07Speaker 1: He is not good. And now they're all like, We
- 46:12Speaker 1: need a quarterback. This isn't the guy. Because he single-handedly
- 46:16Speaker 1: cost them the game by throwing one of the worst
- 46:20Speaker 1: interceptions I've seen late in a game with five minutes left.
- 46:25Speaker 1: Those five minutes left, and he throws a pick that
- 46:29Speaker 1: seals the game. Michigan wins it.
- 46:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 46:34Speaker 4: And then Oregon lost as well, so there's another one.
- 46:38Speaker 4: But they were close first game against Boise.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Yeah, Oregon's got problems, man. Oregon's got problems. They barely
- 46:49Speaker 1: beat Boise. Oklahoma State whooped the crap out of them.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Just whooped them. I was watching that game because I
- 46:57Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, I can't believe it. I
- 46:58Speaker 1: had to change over. Because I was like, I was
- 47:04Speaker 1: watching the end of Oklahoma-Michigan, but I had to change
- 47:08Speaker 1: over because I wanted to see what They were losing.
- 47:11Speaker 1: I was like, wow, Oregon's losing again? And it wasn't
- 47:15Speaker 1: even close, man. People want to talk about Dante Moore
- 47:18Speaker 1: being this top quarterback. Man, Drew Messamaker from Oklahoma State,
- 47:25Speaker 1: or as I like to call him, the University of
- 47:29Speaker 1: North Texas North, because it's basically the whole North Texas
- 47:32Speaker 1: team from last year up in Oklahoma State. I'm sorry,
- 47:36Speaker 1: Oklahoma State fans. Don't get mad. Don't get mad. It's
- 47:39Speaker 1: Oklahoma State. I'm just joking.
- 47:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I keep hearing that a lot. I was like,
- 47:45Speaker 3: what do you mean?
- 47:46Speaker 1: Yeah, the coach, the quarterback. Yeah, I believe, what, 50
- 47:51Speaker 1: players from North Texas went up there? That's what I heard,
- 47:54Speaker 1: something like that?
- 47:55Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Transferred over there, but hey. It is what it is, man.
- 48:00Speaker 1: That's what happens with programs.
- 48:01Speaker 3: I want to give.
- 48:04Speaker 4: The.
- 48:05Speaker 3: Who's the Virginia Tech coach? I think he was a
- 48:10Speaker 3: Penn State coach.
- 48:10Speaker 1: James Franklin, yeah.
- 48:13Speaker 3: And did you see him in the interview?
- 48:17Speaker 1: Did not.
- 48:18Speaker 3: I know the reporter goes, hey, coach, whatever, whatever. And
- 48:23Speaker 3: then he goes, and then the coach goes, hey, Michael.
- 48:26Speaker 4: And then the reporter continues to ask the question that
- 48:29Speaker 4: he had.
- 48:31Speaker 3: And then this fucker keeps going, hey, Michael. Hey, Michael. Hey, Michael.
- 48:37Speaker 3: How you doing, Michael?
- 48:39Speaker 4: And he kept saying that until he said something like,
- 48:44Speaker 4: Then he finally responded and reported it.
- 48:48Speaker 3: He was being such a fucking asshole about it. Hey, Michael. Hey, Michael. Hey, Michael. Hey, Michael. Dude,
- 48:55Speaker 3: it was just.
- 48:58Speaker 4: Fucking terrible from him. He was like, hey, Michael, when
- 49:01Speaker 4: you say it back, I want somebody to say it
- 49:03Speaker 4: back to me.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Shut up, man. Get a press conference. Shut the fuck up.
- 49:08Speaker 3: Do your job. Ask the questions and go home.
- 49:11Speaker 1: That's funny, man. That's hilarious. But yeah. Let's get to
- 49:18Speaker 1: some of the games this week. I think there's only
- 49:20Speaker 1: two games that matter this week. Man, LSU, Lane Kiffin
- 49:26Speaker 1: going back to Oxford and Ole Miss.
- 49:32Speaker 3: Don't we have a really good game on Friday?
- 49:37Speaker 1: Yes, Texas Tech and Houston. Houston. Texas Tech struggled, man,
- 49:42Speaker 1: last week.
- 49:43Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, Texas Tech.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Against Oregon State. Yeah, they struggled.
- 49:50Speaker 3: They did. They want to be whatever they want to be.
- 49:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:58Speaker 3: They're not going to be, but we'll see.
- 50:03Speaker 1: Yeah, but Lane Kiffin, man, going back to Ole Miss,
- 50:06Speaker 1: that's going to be something. I think the.
- 50:11Speaker 1: Game day is going to be there. Yeah. And then
- 50:14Speaker 1: we got SMU and Louisville.
- 50:15Speaker 3: And we also have SMU.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Louisville, yeah. Yeah. Those are going to be good games, man.
- 50:20Speaker 3: Three good games.
- 50:22Speaker 1: Yeah. LSU, Ole Miss. I want to see how that
- 50:25Speaker 1: goes because.
- 50:25Speaker 4: Are you going to be watching Texas or are you
- 50:30Speaker 4: going to be watching.
- 50:30Speaker 3: LSU, Ole Miss?
- 50:32Speaker 1: I'll be keeping an eye on it. I mean, of course,
- 50:34Speaker 1: I'm going to watch the Longhorns. You know, they're my school.
- 50:35Speaker 1: But I'm pretty sure by the second half that game
- 50:38Speaker 1: is going to be over with. But I'll. I'll probably
- 50:41Speaker 1: keep it on the tablet and then put the LSU
- 50:43Speaker 1: Ole Miss game on the big screen because that's must
- 50:47Speaker 1: watch and you know I'll check in on SMU Louisville
- 50:53Speaker 1: SMU Louisville is a 3 o'clock game.
- 50:54Speaker 3: So the games on SEC Network Plus.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Yeah I got ESPN Unlimited I'm good.
- 51:05Speaker 3: The spread is.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Yeah I'm good with ESPN.
- 51:08Speaker 4: Unlimited spread is 30.5 Negative.
- 51:12Speaker 3: Not negative. What am I saying? Minus 30.5.
- 51:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 51:16Speaker 3: Minus 30.5 for Texas. Dude, that's 98.
- 51:20Speaker 4: Matchup predictor and ESPN has 98.8% for Texas to win.
- 51:28Speaker 3: Total. The total points over under 58.5. Money line.
- 51:39Speaker 4: Minus $ 5, 000 for Texas to win. So, you're not going
- 51:43Speaker 4: to bet Texas, obviously, because you won't get anything.
- 51:46Speaker 3: No. You got to bet $ 5, 000 to get $ 100? Probably, yeah.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Yeah, that's terrible.
- 51:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:57Speaker 4: But, if somehow, UTCA was to pull the upset, which
- 52:01Speaker 4: I don't think so, or actually, I don't believe they will,
- 52:05Speaker 4: they're plus $.
- 52:06Speaker 1: 1, 800.
- 52:06Speaker 3: Meaning, you bet $ 100, you get $ 1, 800. So, It's not
- 52:12Speaker 3: going to happen.
- 52:13Speaker 1: No, it's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. Uh,
- 52:16Speaker 1: after that, when Ohio state with, with Ohio state, they're
- 52:19Speaker 1: going to, they're going to thrash UTSA and yeah, the, uh,
- 52:26Speaker 1: the game everybody wants to see.
- 52:27Speaker 3: They should, they should, they should be able to beat them.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Like no problem at all.
- 52:35Speaker 1: Yeah. It'll, it won't, it will not be, uh, It
- 52:42Speaker 1: will not be that easy. It'll be easy. But after that, Tennessee.
- 52:50Speaker 1: The Tennessee game next week will be the game where
- 52:56Speaker 1: everybody wants to see. You know, because it's in Knoxville.
- 53:01Speaker 3: Who's Tennessee playing next week? I mean, this week.
- 53:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. It's probably still just.
- 53:09Speaker 3: A conference.
- 53:12Speaker 1: But, yeah.
- 53:14Speaker 3: Oh, Kennesaw State?
- 53:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, they're both playing cupcakes so they can get ready. But, yeah,
- 53:20Speaker 1: it's going to be a game because we're going to Knoxville. And,
- 53:24Speaker 1: you know, road games are always tough. So that's going
- 53:28Speaker 1: to be the game. That's what I'm telling you. LSU
- 53:31Speaker 1: going to Ole Miss. Ah, man, I'm favoring Ole Miss.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Everybody wants to talk about how good LSU is. I'm
- 53:38Speaker 1: favoring Ole Miss. I think he's going to get a
- 53:40Speaker 1: comeuppance going in there. Yeah, I don't think it's going
- 53:49Speaker 1: to be what LSU fans think, that he's going to
- 53:51Speaker 1: go in there like a warrior conquering. No, I think
- 53:55Speaker 1: Ole Miss has something for them. And I think that
- 53:59Speaker 1: the kids there have scheduled, circled that game and be like,
- 54:03Speaker 1: we're going to win this game. This is the game
- 54:04Speaker 1: we're going to win. We might lose any other game,
- 54:07Speaker 1: but we're going to win this game. Simple as that.
- 54:15Speaker 3: And I hope, though. I hope all men just beat
- 54:18Speaker 3: the shit out of them. Just because they deserve it.
- 54:22Speaker 3: Lane Kiffin deserves it. Just to get whooped.
- 54:25Speaker 1: You mean Lane Kiffin?
- 54:28Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, those away games for Texas, they do make
- 54:33Speaker 4: me nervous.
- 54:35Speaker 1: Dude, they all make me nervous. The only away game
- 54:38Speaker 1: that does not make me nervous is the A &
- 54:39Speaker 1: M game. That's the only game that does not make
- 54:42Speaker 1: me nervous.
- 54:44Speaker 3: Which one?
- 54:44Speaker 1: The A & M game.
- 54:46Speaker 4: At the end.
- 54:47Speaker 1: And College Station, that's the only one that does not
- 54:49Speaker 1: make me nervous. But all the rest of them do, man.
- 54:56Speaker 3: Yeah, nah.
- 54:57Speaker 4: Yeah, because LSU, it's... So you got Tennessee, obviously UTSA, whatever.
- 55:03Speaker 4: Then you got Tennessee, Oklahoma here in Dallas, which I'll
- 55:08Speaker 4: count that as a dub.
- 55:09Speaker 3: Then you got Florida at Texas, which, I mean, whatever.
- 55:13Speaker 5: Whatever.
- 55:14Speaker 3: Ole Miss at Texas, Mississippi State at Texas.
- 55:18Speaker 1: Yeah, you got Missouri, LSU.
- 55:20Speaker 3: Then the game that I'm going to, Missouri. And they
- 55:23Speaker 3: all ranked. Everybody's ranked except for Florida and Arkansas. But, yeah,
- 55:34Speaker 3: I mean, they're just going to have to put in.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Yeah, the Tennessee, LSU game. I think they can beat Missouri.
- 55:44Speaker 1: At Missouri. I'm not too worried about that one. But
- 55:47Speaker 1: the LSU-Tennessee game next week, those are the games where
- 55:53Speaker 1: I'm thinking that, okay, you need to get those games.
- 55:56Speaker 1: Those are the games. I think if you get one
- 55:59Speaker 1: of them, you're good. But if you're going to lose two,
- 56:02Speaker 1: you're probably going to lose those two, I think. But
- 56:04Speaker 1: we'll see. I think we can beat Tennessee, but like
- 56:08Speaker 1: I said, road game in SEC, it's Knoxville-Tennessee. Hostile environments.
- 56:14Speaker 1: We'll see.
- 56:15Speaker 3: Yep, yep. Looking forward to that. I hit it and
- 56:25Speaker 3: quit it.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Then I move on to the next.
- 56:28Speaker 4: And with the next, I hit it and quit it.
- 56:33Speaker 1: And what do I do with the next one? I
- 56:35Speaker 1: hit it and quit it. I want you to hit it.
- 56:49Speaker 1: A little hit it and quit it time. This is
- 56:52Speaker 1: our version of sports quick hits where we touch on
- 56:54Speaker 1: things briefly. Dude, the Rangers just won 7-3. I think
- 57:01Speaker 1: that's the first time this year they've won four games
- 57:03Speaker 1: in a row. They've won four games. A winning streak.
- 57:07Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that's it. I don't remember what we
- 57:10Speaker 1: call them. They've won three games. I don't remember them
- 57:12Speaker 1: winning four games.
- 57:15Speaker 3: So this is what we call a winning streak.
- 57:18Speaker 1: This is what we call a winning streak. Lou Brown. Now,
- 57:21Speaker 1: they won 7-3 against the Red Sox, man. I bet
- 57:24Speaker 1: that helps you out. And the Royals are winning 5-2
- 57:32Speaker 1: in the bottom of the ninth with two outs against
- 57:35Speaker 1: the Astros. So the Rangers and Astros are about to
- 57:39Speaker 1: be tied for the AL West. Of course, the Astros
- 57:43Speaker 1: hold the tiebreaker. But holy crap, man, there's 10 games left,
- 57:47Speaker 1: and they're tied for the West. Unbelievable. Did not expect this.
- 57:51Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 57:56Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, that's what I've been saying. I've been saying, like,
- 57:59Speaker 3: nobody wants to win this division.
- 58:01Speaker 1: With I was talking to a buddy of mine earlier.
- 58:04Speaker 4: I think you posted something about you were already done
- 58:06Speaker 4: with him and now we're back up. It's going to
- 58:11Speaker 4: be a wild ending to the season for this division.
- 58:16Speaker 1: You took two out of three in Arizona. And while
- 58:21Speaker 1: you were doing that, the Astros got swept by the
- 58:26Speaker 1: Tampa Bay Rays. And now it's about to be And
- 58:32Speaker 1: the Royals just won. The Royals just won.
- 58:37Speaker 3: Speaking of this, I saw the email from the Rangers.
- 58:43Speaker 4: You can buy tickets to one of the wild card
- 58:46Speaker 4: games in 30 hours, 40 hours, or whenever it was.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Dude, that's insane.
- 58:51Speaker 3: They're tied.
- 58:52Speaker 1: 10 games left. They are both 76-76. 76 and 76,
- 59:00Speaker 1: did the Astros lose already? Yes, they just lost, man.
- 59:04Speaker 1: They just lost 5-2. Oh my goodness. And, you know,
- 59:10Speaker 1: it's I was looking at the I was looking at
- 59:15Speaker 1: both them schedules. So, we're playing Boston. We got one
- 59:19Speaker 1: more Boston left. We can sweep them tomorrow. They've got
- 59:22Speaker 1: Kansas City. They've got another game with Kansas City. Then
- 59:25Speaker 1: they have Atlanta. Then they have Two games with Seattle,
- 59:31Speaker 1: and then they got four with the Athletics. So it's
- 59:34Speaker 1: got to come down to, you know, this weekend for
- 59:40Speaker 1: Atlanta going to Houston, that's going to be the series.
- 59:44Speaker 1: The Rangers got Toronto. The Rangers got Toronto. They got
- 59:53Speaker 1: the Mets coming in next week for three, and then
- 59:56Speaker 1: they go to Minnesota for three. So... Man, let the
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: chips fall where they may, but this is unbelievable. Unbelievable.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I did not expect this. I did find something funny, though.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Earlier today, I was talking to a buddy, and he
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: was telling me, you know, the run differentials are terrible.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: I don't think we can make the playoffs with this
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: run differential. And I said, you do realize they have
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: a bad run differential, but it's the best run differential
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: in the AL West.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: You said the Rangers did?
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Yeah, the Rangers have the best run differential. They have
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: a minus 38 run differential. Houston has a minus 51
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: run differential.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Dang.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Seattle at minus 61. Angels minus 73. Athletics minus 205. So, yeah.
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: The whole division has a negative run differential.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Yeah, but you have the best run differential in the division.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: That's insane, dude.
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: That is crazy. That is crazy. That is insane.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: It's insane.
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: Well, what's the magic number for the Rangers right now?
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Well, it was 10.
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: Four?
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: For Houston. Now that's been eliminated, so we don't know
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: who the magic number is because they're both tied now.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: But it was 10. It was a combination of 10.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: Yeah, but now it's... Looking at it, obviously the next.
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: The next four or five games... I wouldn't say four.
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: Texas has.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: They have the easier schedule. Just, you know, on paper.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: Because Houston has to play Atlanta.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: And Rangers have to play Toronto. Which, they're still in
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: the hunt for that. They would have a game.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Have a game for the.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: for the fifth yeah wild card as it sits now
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: is uh uh the rangers are one behind the white
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: socks for that final spot toronto's one and a half
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: baltimore's two and a half so yeah toronto's in it
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: minnesota's six back so minnesota's pretty much out of it
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: so those last three games yeah in minnesota you gotta
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: probably take two out of three i would say i
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: would say you have to take two out of three
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: in toronto with Toronto this weekend, you've got to take
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: two out of three against the Mets, and two out
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: of three, I think that probably wins you the West.
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, the Mets suck.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: I mean, Astros got the Braves. Astros got the Braves.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Seattle gives Houston problems.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: So, yeah.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: I think it's a good time for the Rangers, but
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: we'll see. Well, see, I mean, again, their vision is
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: stupid and nobody wants to win this shit.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Nobody wants to win it, bro.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: We'll see who wants it more.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it's insane, dude. It's insane.
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: Because I don't think Seattle's going to... No, they cannot
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: crawl back unless they go like 10-0 from here and
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: then expect both Texas teams to go....
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: I wouldn't even know. I don't even want to do
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: the math, but yeah, it's going to come down to
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: those two teams. 76 and 76.
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: So with what you said, do you think that the
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: winner of this division is going to have an above
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: 500 record?
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: I would think so now because they're 76 and 76
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: with 10 left. So I think it's I think you
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: got to go 7-3. Yeah. 7-3, 6-4 in those last
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: 10 to win the division, I think. So, yeah, the
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: team is, whoever wins this division is going to be 500.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: I would have to bet unless they both have a
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: couple sweeps.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: You can go 5-5.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: You got 5-5. That'll be 81-81.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: 81-81, yeah.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: So, yeah, it's crazy, dude. I couldn't believe it. I
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: can't believe it. They are, it's there. It's there for
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: the taking now. And you got to remember, they can't
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: be tied. They got to be one up.
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: Let's see. Because Houston is pretty much, they're pretty much
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: even home away. The splits are pretty much the same, 33.
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: 38 and 39 at home, 30 and 37 away. Rangers
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: at home, they're much better than on the road. 42
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: and 32 at home, 34 and 44 on the road.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: That is crazy. And they have the next six games.
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: No, the next seven games are at home for the Rangers.
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: So that's an advantage for them.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: And then let's see. We got a Houston splits. Well,
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: they're the next four at our home.
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: And then the last six are on the road for
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: the Houston Astros.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: So, and for them, it's kind of a split. So
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: you never know. They might go five and five. And
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: then you go, what? Six and four. Yeah.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: You got to be up one. You've got to be
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: up a game on them. Because if it's tied, Astros
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: win the division. So you have to be up a
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: game on them. So that's what I'm saying. You've got
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: to go 7-3, 6-4. You can't go 5-5, I don't think.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it's going to be fun. It's going to be fun.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: What do you make of this cool YMS, bro?
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: I think he got off easy.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: I don't know if he's getting off easy.
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: If.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: The Justice Department is looking into him. Well, I don't
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: know yet. There might be some jail time here. If
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: they're investigating him, dude, it might be some jail time.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: Yeah, he's going back to Toronto when he won it.
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: I don't know, dude. It's a crazy....
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: If I wasn't so invested right now in MLB and
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: college football and NFL, I don't know. But I think
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: for getting fined $ 700, 000 for what he did or whatever.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: No, that was terrible. We talked about it on our
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: last radio show. I said he didn't even get a
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: slap on the wrist.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: He got a pinch.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: That wasn't even a slap on the wrist. It was
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: a pinch. Yeah, it wasn't even nothing. It was just,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: it is what it is.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: They didn't even get anything. It was just awful, man.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Here we got, did you see Steve Ballmer's statement? He
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: basically doesn't say that, yeah, we got caught. We're sorry.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: He just says that we take responsibility. But he doesn't admit.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: Did he just apologize?
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Yeah, he just apologized to the fans and said, we
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: take responsibility. But there's nothing going on. And Pablo Torre,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: the guy who broke the story, he says that he
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: basically decoded, he said, the reason he's saying this, he
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: can't admit fault because there is a criminal investigation with
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: the Department of Justice, the SEC, you know, the Stock
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Exchange Commission. That's the big thing, is that if the
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Stock Exchange Commission is in.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: If the president can do it.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: If the president can do it. He better have something.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: He better have some good lawyers and be all up
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: in the make a contribution to the Republican National Fund.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: I would think. But it's a crazy story, dude, that
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: there he's criminal charges you know he's being investigated i.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: Know that he's he's being federally.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Investigated yeah that that's uh once i saw that i
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: was like whoa okay he may maybe he's not getting
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: out yeah i mean i i don't think he's getting
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: off easy i mean uh It's just weird that, you know,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: that the NBA gives him a slap on the wrist,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: but the federal government's like, we're looking into this, man.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: It's funny to me that that's where it is, that
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: he's being investigated by the government. This whole thing So,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: and here's the thing Pablo Torre also had that, you know,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: because they processed the trade to Toronto, you know, so
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: now he's a Raptor. But the NBA first needed to
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: approve the Clippers governor because Ballmer and his alternate governor
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: are banned. They're both suspended. So they have one other owner,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: and the Clippers co-owner is from Aspiration. He's the Aspiration investor,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Dennis Wong. Yeah. He's the guy from Aspiration. Yeah. He's
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: the one who set up this whole thing. I mean,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: this whole thing is crazy, dude.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a true situation, but they knew what they
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: were doing when they did it, and.
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: That was it.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Stars Media Day was the day, brother. Glenn Gullitson and
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: Jim Neal. They did. They all say they're all good.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: nobody's injured everybody's healthy to start the season.
- 1:10:57Speaker 4: Right yeah but i was just going to talk about
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: the jerseys it's just the the add-on looks kind of
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: weird i thought it was adidas.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: The add-on did you see the ad i saw the
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: ad yeah i knew they were going to be doing
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: the ads but who you know they're everybody's doing ads
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: these days man it's just what it is nobody everybody's
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: going uh everybody's just doing that brother that That's where
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: it's all headed.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: Money. I mean, the NFL doesn't have any yet.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Yeah. But I think the NFL is because the NFL
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: has never allowed it. I mean, but I'm sure that's
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: coming too. If there's money to be made, they ain't
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: turning down money.
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: Did you see the bus cut for the Moose?
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: No, I did not.
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: Yeah, he got a bus cut.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: He got a bus cut?
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: Yeah, he's short. He doesn't have the flow anymore.
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: None.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: Did not catch that at all.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: Whatever helps, right? Whatever helps. Yeah.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: Bro.
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: You got the stadium classic.
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: When is that stadium classic? Is it March?
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: February.
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: At AT & T?
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: I believe February, isn't it?
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: Okay, okay.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it's February. It's like right after the season, right
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: after the Super Bowl. So, yeah.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I hope to be a part of that. What
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: do you think of the breaking news that the Jets
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: have suspended? Of who? The breaking news that the Winnipeg
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Jets have suspended Hellebuck.
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: I couldn't.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Who was it? Hellebuck. Connor Hellebuck's been suspended by the
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: Jets because he didn't report to training camp.
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: I thought you wanted to trade. Yeah.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: He wants to trade, so he didn't report to training camp,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: so the Jets are suspending him. That came down two
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: hours ago.
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: So then what's going to happen with that?
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: No clue, dude. Oh, bro, breaking news. Sam Levitt is
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: on the injured list as doubtful for Saturday's game. LSU
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: lists Levitt as doubtful. He might not play.
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Holy crap. That changes everything. That changes everything, bro. Sam Levitt.
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: Unbelievable, dude. They're not disclosing the nature of his injury,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: but they said that he appeared without appearing in pain.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: And Leavitt was not, Kevin did not mention Leavitt had
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: any injuries going to the Monday news conference. But the
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: SEC's availability report policy defines a doubtful designation as unlikely
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: to play due to significant concerns. So, yeah. Wow.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. That definitely changes things. We'll see. I mean,
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: this is probably enough College football.
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: We will see next week.
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
