- 1:04Speaker 4: uh that Ace Frayley had died recently, which I didn't
- 1:07Speaker 4: know until I heard your show. That's so great you're
- 1:11Speaker 4: getting pardon no, that Ace Frayley died.
- 1:15Speaker 1: That's great.

- 1:20Speaker 2: I'm sorry that was awful.
- 1:22Speaker 4: They're getting, you know, nominated, or they're for the Lincoln
- 1:24Speaker 4: Center thing. But anyway, I wanted to give you my
- 1:27Speaker 4: quick Ace Frayley story because he did want and it
- 1:30Speaker 4: was fabulous. Scott Shannon told a great story. But they
- 1:33Speaker 4: were just they eat, breathed, and ate. Uh, you know,
- 1:37Speaker 4: rock and roll all night and party every day. I
- 1:39Speaker 4: spent a weekend with them on tour too. Huh yeah,
- 1:44Speaker 4: I know that's but anyway, but for but in memory
- 1:46Speaker 4: of Ace, my story is that I was I was, uh,
- 1:50Speaker 4: we were trying to figure out what to do for
- 1:51Speaker 4: the weekend because they.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Got to get right to the story. We don't have
- 1:55Speaker 1: this kind of time, okay.
- 1:57Speaker 4: So anyway, I said, let's go to Disney World. It's
- 1:59Speaker 4: you know, Rye, this is gonna be too long.
- 2:01Speaker 1: We'll never get to this.
- 2:02Speaker 4: Just get right to the good part, he said, Baby,
- 2:06Speaker 4: I am disney World anyway, long live. Yes, there you.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Go, baby, I am Disney World. I don't know, I
- 2:12Speaker 1: mean I met the guy a few times. He didn't
- 2:14Speaker 1: look like maybe maybe great adventure. I don't think he
- 2:18Speaker 1: was Disney World, but who knows. Let's go to Mike
- 2:22Speaker 1: and Florida. Mike, how you doing? Wait a minute, is
- 2:26Speaker 1: gonna be go ahead, go ahead, good morning?
- 2:28Speaker 2: Hi, Mark, kissed too.
- 2:31Speaker 1: The question about I want to ask you about Heavy
- 2:33Speaker 1: Como's stumbled the cost two of.
- 2:36Speaker 2: My favorite songs by him, Round and round bless.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Hey, you know what you're gonna you gonna have to
- 2:41Speaker 1: call us back. Not your fault, something screwed up with it.
- 2:44Speaker 1: We have these prob we have these digital phones. That's
- 2:46Speaker 1: why sometimes it sounds so sped up. Let's go to
- 2:50Speaker 1: Oh there he is, Vincent and Brooklyn Vincent, how you doing?
- 2:53Speaker 3: Good morning? Mark? Can you hear me? Okay, yeah, okay, you.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Know it's always that line, line eight. It's always on
- 2:58Speaker 1: that line where that stuff happened.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I called once. I called a couple of minutes ago,
- 3:03Speaker 3: and or immediately dropped and I called back from Christal mean,
- 3:06Speaker 3: I don't know what this world is coming to. Jesus Christ.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Can't these guys even just be honest gangsters and payout?
- 3:14Speaker 3: And I say that because fifty years ago, back in
- 3:18Speaker 3: the day, I ran a gambling joint. I'm shocked, and
- 3:23Speaker 3: there was none of those shenanigans going on. In fact,
- 3:29Speaker 3: I would even fund one of usually one of the
- 3:31Speaker 3: players at one of the tables was funded by me.
- 3:35Speaker 3: And what we would do is whatever I would get
- 3:38Speaker 3: sixty percent, I would give him forty percent. But there
- 3:42Speaker 3: was no cheating, none of those shenanigans going on. I
- 3:47Speaker 3: checked everybody when they came in for weapons and stuff.
- 3:50Speaker 3: I made the women opened their pocketbook to see if
- 3:53Speaker 3: they had anything in there, and as low as long
- 3:56Speaker 3: as you were playing in my place. The food that drinks.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Thing was the executive.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Game, Yeah, exactly, every Saturday night at twelve o'clock. And
- 4:08Speaker 3: it was you had to be You couldn't just come,
- 4:11Speaker 3: you had to be a member.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And was like to Soprano with an executive game. But
- 4:16Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. If you just did
- 4:17Speaker 1: a normal poker game like Tony Sopranos or Henry Hill,
- 4:21Speaker 1: and you would make a nice profit, wouldn't you.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Yeah, because I got a cut on every part. I
- 4:27Speaker 3: got a cut, so I got a cut no matter what.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I see your play. Why do you need to cheat?
- 4:31Speaker 3: Then that's what I'm saying, I don't know, that's what
- 4:34Speaker 3: I'm saying. It's it's not. I knew a woman up
- 4:38Speaker 3: the street and when I was a kid, I used
- 4:41Speaker 3: to deliver the food her house. She had a game
- 4:45Speaker 3: where people would come from all over and she would pay.
- 4:49Speaker 3: This was before ubers and lift. She would pay your
- 4:52Speaker 3: cart service or the limousine to take you to the
- 4:57Speaker 3: game because you had to have so much to get
- 5:01Speaker 3: sit at the table, and the game went on all night,
- 5:04Speaker 3: and food and drink, everything was free as long as
- 5:08Speaker 3: you were playing. And she she paid out. You know,
- 5:12Speaker 3: none of the Shenanigan because they're making it. I was
- 5:15Speaker 3: making it out no matter what. I was making it
- 5:18Speaker 3: that I got a cut of every pot that was played.
- 5:22Speaker 3: So I had it coming and going, so there was
- 5:26Speaker 3: no need to do stuff like that. And I don't
- 5:28Speaker 3: need that if you found if somebody found out somebody
- 5:32Speaker 3: was cheating, I don't want nobody a shot or stamped
- 5:35Speaker 3: in front of my place. So uh now I was
- 5:39Speaker 3: to all the people I knew, and did it on
- 5:42Speaker 3: the I even had a game in a hotel at
- 5:44Speaker 3: the Hotel Saint George that Marinos.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Where the executive game was too. Remember it was in
- 5:50Speaker 1: a hotel.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Exactly every week it changed, U change the room, and
- 5:56Speaker 3: I would pay off the house sticks that day, old day,
- 6:00Speaker 3: and every very.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Good vincent, excellent call, very informative. Hey, we got to
- 6:05Speaker 1: take a break for the news. But coming up, it's
- 6:07Speaker 1: Johnny Carson's one hundredth birthday. There's all kinds of celebrations
- 6:11Speaker 1: and in honor of that, a new book is out.
- 6:14Speaker 1: It is the definitive book on Johnny Carson. It is
- 6:16Speaker 1: the most detailed, fascinating book. We'll talk to the author
- 6:20Speaker 1: next on seven to ten wor
