- 0:07Speaker 1: big episode.
- 0:08Speaker 2: This is a very good episode. By the way, Judy
- 0:10Speaker 2: came for a good one.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Not only is it a big episode, but this is Listen, man,
- 0:16Speaker 1: I feel like I didn't know what I had when
- 0:18Speaker 1: I had it, You know what I mean. Carla and Turk.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Carla and Turk. Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh. You
- 0:25Speaker 1: want to talk about a good relationship on television, and
- 0:28Speaker 1: you want to talk about a relationship, especially at the
- 0:31Speaker 1: time that we were filming it, I really needed a
- 0:33Speaker 1: relationship like that. Granted, I found a woman of my dreams.
- 0:36Speaker 1: She lives in the same house as me. She's downstairs
- 0:39Speaker 1: right now watching our children. But when I think of
- 0:43Speaker 1: Turk and Carla, I think of Carla and you two
- 0:48Speaker 1: Judy as like an x of mine. Even though it
- 0:51Speaker 1: was just work, even though we were working together, It's
- 0:54Speaker 1: like I have so many fond memories and I ruined it,
- 0:57Speaker 1: and I spoiled it by the show going off the air,
- 1:03Speaker 1: I mean, and then we were no longer together, and
- 1:06Speaker 1: I don't see her anymore.
- 1:08Speaker 2: When you see Judy, now, do you have this?
- 1:09Speaker 4: I get the.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Vapors as as as Bismarck. He said, I caught the vapors.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Oh my god. When I'm watching Scrubs now, I'm like,
- 1:17Speaker 1: oh my gosh, she's so fine.
- 1:18Speaker 4: What was I thinking? What did I do? How did
- 1:22Speaker 4: I let that go?
- 1:23Speaker 5: No, that's okay. Carla always knew it. Yeah, And what
- 1:27Speaker 5: do I have to do to get this guy to
- 1:28Speaker 5: see what he has? He always he always and she
- 1:32Speaker 5: always said right. Carla always says like if only when
- 1:35Speaker 5: is he gonna love me the way he loves JD's.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Here's some stories about shore we made about a bunch
- 1:44Speaker 3: of times and nurses. I said, he's a story. So
- 1:53Speaker 3: yadda rare yeada here sweat is no.
- 2:02Speaker 4: So listen for all of you guys who are listening
- 2:04Speaker 4: right now, is probably why.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Don't you properly introduce your your Your.
- 2:08Speaker 4: TV is amazing, stupend us the right.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Word, yes, stupendous, stupendus, fantastic, the fantastic, the legend that
- 2:17Speaker 2: is Judy Ray is on Fake Doctors.
- 2:20Speaker 4: And Real Friends today. We're so excited about it.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Pick it up.
- 2:23Speaker 5: An incredible introduction.
- 2:24Speaker 2: This is where we insert thunderous appology.
- 2:27Speaker 4: I'm at a loss of words. You have no idea.
- 2:29Speaker 4: How how excited I am that you are here.
- 2:32Speaker 5: I'm excited for you guys. I'm excited for the show.
- 2:35Speaker 5: You guys got bumped up to two shows a week.
- 2:37Speaker 5: I can't even catch up.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Well, we've been having fun. We never thought anyone would
- 2:40Speaker 2: really listen. We thought it would be maybe our parents.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Donald's mom doesn't even listen.
- 2:44Speaker 1: To I never I don't think she's ever listened to No,
- 2:46Speaker 1: I know she hasn't listened. You know how I know
- 2:48Speaker 1: she hasn't listened. This is how I know she hasn't listened,
- 2:50Speaker 1: because I'll be like, mom, and I've already said on
- 2:52Speaker 1: the podcast, I don't think my mom ever listens to
- 2:54Speaker 1: the show, right, I was like, Mom, have you listened
- 2:56Speaker 1: to the podcast? She's like, yeah, I listened to it
- 2:58Speaker 1: all the time. And wait, I know that she hasn't
- 3:01Speaker 1: and she hasn't.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Been Like, she hasn't called me and been like, I
- 3:03Speaker 4: listened to your podcast. She has no idea.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Yeah, isn't that the story of the show? You know,
- 3:08Speaker 5: it was like congratulations, but nobody's watched the show. Until
- 3:11Speaker 5: like twenty years later, when now it's like a legend
- 3:14Speaker 5: right television folklore, where everybody's like, oh my god, you
- 3:18Speaker 5: don't understand. I grew up on your show. And then
- 3:20Speaker 5: it's like, wow, okay.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Right when you hear that, it's like, well, how come
- 3:23Speaker 4: y'all didn't show up in the ratings?
- 3:25Speaker 2: Then, well they did in the beginning. I was just
- 3:27Speaker 2: looking back. This is back in two thousand, when there
- 3:30Speaker 2: was no streaming competition and people actually did watch the show.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I mean, there were a lot of people watching the
- 3:34Speaker 2: show in the beginning, especially, you know, we always joked
- 3:38Speaker 2: that we barely survived, that we were always moving around
- 3:40Speaker 2: time slots and everything. But this was still like at
- 3:42Speaker 2: a time when Joelle, you can correct me if I'm wrong,
- 3:45Speaker 2: but I think like eleven million people or something we're
- 3:47Speaker 2: watching these episodes.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Yeah, when we followed Yeah, when we followed Fraser, we
- 3:52Speaker 1: were at eleven or ten million.
- 3:54Speaker 4: But when the.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Season two or three, when we started following Friends, we
- 3:59Speaker 1: at one point we had like twenty seven million people
- 4:01Speaker 1: watching our show.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I don't know, but it's just so funny. You never
- 4:03Speaker 2: get no one ever gets numbers like that anymore. Back
- 4:06Speaker 2: in two thousand and one, you could have eleven million
- 4:08Speaker 2: people watch your TV show.
- 4:09Speaker 5: Well, because there were only three television networks right there
- 4:12Speaker 5: was ABC, NBCCBS and like A Fox and Fox and
- 4:16Speaker 5: then show Time in HBO. So there were only a
- 4:19Speaker 5: certain number of shows that you can watch. And now,
- 4:22Speaker 5: you know, like we were saying before, people are actually
- 4:25Speaker 5: coming to us and texting us and through social media
- 4:28Speaker 5: letting us know that we, particularly in these times, that
- 4:32Speaker 5: our show literally changed their lives and influenced and affected
- 4:36Speaker 5: the choices that they made for a living. And that's
- 4:41Speaker 5: really really moving.
- 4:43Speaker 4: So yeah, you're absolutely right.
- 4:45Speaker 1: It feels so warm and fuzzy inside when you know
- 4:48Speaker 1: you read your comments and you post a picture of
- 4:50Speaker 1: your kids and stuff like that, and they're like that,
- 4:53Speaker 1: don't look like Carla.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Donald always gets for as I gets harassed.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Look like Carla had them kids.
- 5:01Speaker 1: That's why I always I'm always like wow that the
- 5:04Speaker 1: show hits so hard and so many people that when
- 5:08Speaker 1: I post pictures of my family or I post pictures,
- 5:11Speaker 1: you know, of us at a holiday, and you know,
- 5:14Speaker 1: during holiday, the first thing that comes up that don't look.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Like Carlo Turky.
- 5:20Speaker 5: I was working when I started working in out of state,
- 5:23Speaker 5: which is right after scrubs were all chowsre are being
- 5:26Speaker 5: shot like in Vancouver or Atlanta or in New Orleans.
- 5:34Speaker 2: So Judy wait, I was gonna say, Donald, if you
- 5:36Speaker 2: don't mind, and Judy, we've we've been asking everyone that
- 5:40Speaker 2: comes on the show, all the cast members, their their
- 5:43Speaker 2: audition story, because I think listeners are I imagine interested
- 5:47Speaker 2: in that. I hope they're interested in that, but maybe
- 5:50Speaker 2: I don't really know yours. I know Donald and Sarah's.
- 5:52Speaker 2: So I'd love to hear your story about how the
- 5:56Speaker 2: script initially came to you and what your audition process
- 5:58Speaker 2: was like in New York.
- 5:59Speaker 5: You know, I was working, I had done oh gosh,
- 6:02Speaker 5: I don't know i'd done like this was must have
- 6:05Speaker 5: been like my seventh pilot audition. I've done all about
- 6:09Speaker 5: six pilots before this that never went that never got
- 6:13Speaker 5: picked up. So by the time I got to this one,
- 6:16Speaker 5: I was just like, you know, ready for it not
- 6:18Speaker 5: to go as well. But it was such a good pilot.
- 6:21Speaker 5: And Carla had these two great monologues in the in
- 6:24Speaker 5: the pilot, one where I go off right and one
- 6:29Speaker 5: where I go off on Doctor Cox. And I was,
- 6:32Speaker 5: you know, I was part of a theater company, and
- 6:34Speaker 5: I was just so prepared to just nail it and
- 6:36Speaker 5: walk out and get it. And I got it. You know,
- 6:38Speaker 5: you get a free free flight to LA you had
- 6:40Speaker 5: to say, in a fancy hotel. But the most important
- 6:43Speaker 5: thing was to just like work on it really hard
- 6:45Speaker 5: and go out and get out of the room feeling good.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Wait, you weren't living in You weren't living in Los Angeles?
- 6:51Speaker 5: No, No, I was in New York. I was living
- 6:53Speaker 5: in New York.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Was your first audition at thirty Rock or something?
- 6:57Speaker 3: For?
- 6:58Speaker 5: Yeah, my first audition was at thirty Rock and I
- 7:01Speaker 5: did really well, And all I just kept getting was
- 7:03Speaker 5: the feedback from my manager, Gene Fox.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Your manager was yes, yes, not this not doing this,
- 7:10Speaker 2: but you not at this time, but yes. But we
- 7:13Speaker 2: did have the same manager back in the day.
- 7:14Speaker 5: Yet when we were younger, right, because she mostly represented
- 7:17Speaker 5: kids and I always played really young and earlier in
- 7:20Speaker 5: my career. But I remember being really excited to get
- 7:23Speaker 5: this flight to LA and staying in a fancy hotel
- 7:25Speaker 5: and all this stuff. And I remember somebody giving me
- 7:29Speaker 5: a note to tell its like, before you start your scene,
- 7:33Speaker 5: just take his breath and look at everybody in the
- 7:35Speaker 5: room and then start right.
- 7:39Speaker 2: So that's good advice, hey, And I really did, and.
- 7:43Speaker 5: I felt and they were like, think three other women?
- 7:46Speaker 2: Did you know them anyway?
- 7:48Speaker 5: I didn't know anybody. I just remember who was the
- 7:50Speaker 5: casting director for that. I knew the casting director because
- 7:52Speaker 5: I auditioned them all the time. And I didn't even
- 7:55Speaker 5: know any of the actresses, which was strange because all
- 7:57Speaker 5: Latina actresses don't know each other. And I think I
- 8:00Speaker 5: was the only one from La who was flown in
- 8:02Speaker 5: and I felt like I had a really good chance,
- 8:04Speaker 5: but I didn't attach myself to anything.
- 8:07Speaker 2: What scenes did you do? Do you remember what scenes
- 8:09Speaker 2: you did from the pilot?
- 8:11Speaker 5: All the scenes that Carla had, which was like the
- 8:14Speaker 5: one where I go he hits on me and the
- 8:16Speaker 5: one to doctor Cox. I don't remember any of this stuff.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Don't worry. Don't worry, Donald, I don't remember anything either.
- 8:23Speaker 5: I watched this episode that we're talking about twice.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Yes, same here, because.
- 8:26Speaker 5: I remember what I remember. It is like in the
- 8:29Speaker 5: first season, I had this one big, big episode with
- 8:32Speaker 5: you where we go to see the photography exhibit that's
- 8:36Speaker 5: called my Nickname, And I was sure that that's what
- 8:38Speaker 5: we were going to talk about today. Like, wait a minute,
- 8:40Speaker 5: we're not doing my nickname.
- 8:41Speaker 2: No, no one time one day duty will get more
- 8:44Speaker 2: organized than like book people for the times they have
- 8:47Speaker 2: their big episode. But I think you have a really
- 8:49Speaker 2: nice arc in this episode.
- 8:50Speaker 5: No, I do, And that's why I wanted it. I
- 8:51Speaker 5: was like, this is really great. I'm excited to talk
- 8:53Speaker 5: about it.
- 8:54Speaker 2: We just wanted to have you on.
- 8:55Speaker 5: But I remember taking that moment and looking at all
- 8:59Speaker 5: these people. It's like in my head, I was like, fuck,
- 9:01Speaker 5: there's a lot of people in here. And I looked
- 9:03Speaker 5: at all of them. I was like, no pressure, right,
- 9:05Speaker 5: and they just fell out laughing, and Bill the loudest,
- 9:09Speaker 5: and I felt really relaxed, and I just they laughed
- 9:11Speaker 5: at every single thing I did. And I was like,
- 9:13Speaker 5: I'm fine. And I walked to the elevator, and before
- 9:16Speaker 5: I got to the elevator, the casting and notes, Oh,
- 9:19Speaker 5: I wanted to tell you something. Hold on a second.
- 9:21Speaker 5: Before they called the other girl in, I was like,
- 9:23Speaker 5: you're good.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I was like, oh, oh shit, Like when you like
- 9:29Speaker 2: as you do, you remember if it was Brett or
- 9:31Speaker 2: Debbie one of those Yeah, and she took you aside.
- 9:34Speaker 5: She took me aside at the elevator. I was like, amazed,
- 9:36Speaker 5: you would really good. And I was like, oh, I
- 9:38Speaker 5: wasn't sure what that meant, but I was like and
- 9:40Speaker 5: by the time I got to the airport, I was like,
- 9:42Speaker 5: you got it.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Oh wow, that's so awesome.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Oh my god.
- 9:47Speaker 4: So on your way back, how much did you drink
- 9:51Speaker 4: in celebration?
- 9:53Speaker 5: I was like, They were like, do you want a
- 9:55Speaker 5: champagne or orange juice? Or I was like can I
- 9:58Speaker 5: have them both in one glance? It's just like most
- 10:01Speaker 5: I was like, yeah, that's sick, give me one of those.
- 10:05Speaker 5: And I was like, you want to know, almost like yeah,
- 10:07Speaker 5: I read one.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Oh man, that's amazing.
- 10:11Speaker 2: And then so you had to go back to well,
- 10:13Speaker 2: it was just a pilot, so I guess you you
- 10:15Speaker 2: weren't planning on moving. You just kind of came out
- 10:17Speaker 2: for the pilot, then came out.
- 10:18Speaker 5: Came out for the pilot, and then you know, by
- 10:19Speaker 5: the time we got picked up.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Okay, do you remember upfront at all?
- 10:25Speaker 5: I got didn't I get hammered?
- 10:27Speaker 4: That's what I'm asking We all did, But that's what
- 10:29Speaker 4: I'm asking.
- 10:30Speaker 5: Do you remember I remember being on a swing.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Donald told this story where you were. But it was
- 10:38Speaker 2: more than a swing, you guys.
- 10:39Speaker 4: It was like a trapeze.
- 10:41Speaker 2: For some reason, this bar we were in had a
- 10:42Speaker 2: trapeze and it it's really not safe.
- 10:44Speaker 5: I want to swing, and my and my ex husband
- 10:48Speaker 5: had to take me home. Yes, I remember who was
- 10:51Speaker 5: the executive, tall guy and he he had a snot
- 10:56Speaker 5: on his nose and I was like, you got a
- 10:58Speaker 5: booger and you were like and Bill was so impressed.
- 11:03Speaker 5: I was like, You're the only person I know who
- 11:05Speaker 5: would tell, like the head of a network that he
- 11:07Speaker 5: has booger. I was like, but what are you what
- 11:11Speaker 5: do you want to know that?
- 11:13Speaker 2: I loved it. On one side of that party, Donald's
- 11:15Speaker 2: giving Jeff Zucker a noggie. On the other side of
- 11:17Speaker 2: the party, you're telling another executive he has a booger
- 11:19Speaker 2: on his nose. And Bill had told us all like, guys,
- 11:23Speaker 2: do not get too drunk at this party. It's gonna
- 11:25Speaker 2: be important executives here.
- 11:27Speaker 5: We got wasted. Sarrow was wasted.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Do you remember her famous phrase, Judy At that party,
- 11:34Speaker 2: she's she walked.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Up to had a Cosmopolitan.
- 11:38Speaker 5: I'm so good.
- 11:39Speaker 3: I was like child.
- 11:42Speaker 2: She was she was walking sideways. I just remember she
- 11:46Speaker 2: was like on a diagonal.
- 11:47Speaker 5: I told her. I was like, I like martinis. You know,
- 11:52Speaker 5: my friend Richie Precrocelli says about Martini's martinis are like tits.
- 11:56Speaker 5: One's not enough, threes too many.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I want that on a T shirt. What was your
- 12:08Speaker 2: first impression of meeting Donald? Like, because you knew he
- 12:11Speaker 2: was going to be your your love interest? And then
- 12:13Speaker 2: I did you meet him at the table read thing
- 12:15Speaker 2: that we did at Bill's house? Did I go to
- 12:17Speaker 2: the table maybe because maybe because you flew in, maybe
- 12:20Speaker 2: because I didn't go?
- 12:22Speaker 3: So?
- 12:22Speaker 2: Where did you meet Donald on set?
- 12:24Speaker 4: I met him on set that I told you this story, dude, Like.
- 12:27Speaker 2: I want to hear it from Judy.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Okay, sorry that we had that makeout scene. We had
- 12:32Speaker 4: the makeout scene, right, and you had smoked cigarettes right before.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Donald's already complained that you were smoking.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yes, and of course, okay, but since then we smoked
- 12:40Speaker 1: so many cigarettes together, Oh my gosh.
- 12:43Speaker 5: But what I do remember is that we had that
- 12:45Speaker 5: makeout scene and I was completely I felt Donald is Donald.
- 12:49Speaker 5: What you see is what you get. He's the sweetest, kindest, relaxed,
- 12:54Speaker 5: but very professional guy. Right and I felt very comfortable
- 12:57Speaker 5: with Donald, and we had this makeout scene and I
- 13:00Speaker 5: don't think that I've ever had a kissing scene like
- 13:04Speaker 5: that before, where you know, we're just like making out
- 13:07Speaker 5: and I stuck my tongue in his mouth.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Yeah, dude.
- 13:10Speaker 2: And then he went and then he everybody who did
- 13:12Speaker 2: that a lot? And then and then Donald started with Judy.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Didn't Donald start walking around bragging everyone like I.
- 13:18Speaker 6: Got but the first time I did it the first time, yeah,
- 13:22Speaker 6: right away immediately, But but he told like the whole
- 13:26Speaker 6: fucking and then he ruined it for nine years, but
- 13:30Speaker 6: the whole time.
- 13:30Speaker 5: The rest of it, the rest, But because I was embarrassed.
- 13:34Speaker 5: I was embarrassed. This motherfucker goes, it goes. Yo, you
- 13:37Speaker 5: stuck your tongue in my mouth. I wasn't supposed to
- 13:42Speaker 5: do that. I didn't know it.
- 13:47Speaker 2: So Donald, you in one moment, you have this beautiful woman,
- 13:51Speaker 2: she's giving you first on screen kiss, and then you
- 13:56Speaker 2: blab about it, and then you never got tongue again,
- 13:58Speaker 2: did you.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Well?
- 13:59Speaker 4: No, she did it a couple of times. Hold on,
- 14:00Speaker 4: now she did it?
- 14:01Speaker 2: Yeah you did.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I could I could show you the episode because I
- 14:05Speaker 1: remember one episode we're making out, and the girl I
- 14:08Speaker 1: was dating at the time was like, well, this is awkward,
- 14:12Speaker 1: and I was. And it was like the scene where
- 14:15Speaker 1: we're supposed to be making out and it's supposed to
- 14:16Speaker 1: be a wet, sloppery kiss and stuff like that. And
- 14:19Speaker 1: JD even says something about that about our making out.
- 14:22Speaker 5: Out because it's scripted, right, But you know what I did.
- 14:26Speaker 2: That was.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Mature slower than then girls do. It's just that simple
- 14:33Speaker 1: women mature faster.
- 14:35Speaker 2: I just remember thinking like I would never brad it out.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I remember thinking. I just remember thinking like, that's not
- 14:41Speaker 2: going to end well. Donald.
- 14:43Speaker 4: No, it did.
- 14:43Speaker 5: It didn't end well immediately.
- 14:45Speaker 7: No.
- 14:45Speaker 5: But it was really embarrassed about it because it was
- 14:49Speaker 5: it was just instinctual.
- 14:51Speaker 2: I was like, okay, so before Donald, before Donald ruined it,
- 14:56Speaker 2: it was a good kiss. I imagine a kiss.
- 14:59Speaker 5: I'm a great kid.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Oh shit, Donald, you up?
- 15:03Speaker 4: I did fuck up.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I fucked up. This many years later, you're still listen.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Like I said, I look back at it now, like
- 15:10Speaker 4: what was I thinking?
- 15:11Speaker 5: Dude?
- 15:12Speaker 4: What a dummy?
- 15:13Speaker 5: Listen. The whole crew was was like what are you thinking?
- 15:17Speaker 2: Yeah, No, It's like that thing in Scrubs where they
- 15:20Speaker 2: get the opera singer who goes missed.
- 15:22Speaker 4: It that Kevin that Kevin Sorbo story. Have you heard that?
- 15:32Speaker 5: Which one is that one?
- 15:33Speaker 1: You know how they put in parentheses the direction that
- 15:36Speaker 1: you're supposed to do, and then underneath it usually is
- 15:39Speaker 1: the line, yeah, the parenthetical right, And in that it
- 15:43Speaker 1: said disappointed. That was like the last thing underneath the
- 15:47Speaker 1: line that he has so like the line was something like,
- 15:49Speaker 1: this isn't my world, this isn't my place. And then
- 15:53Speaker 1: in that thing it says it says disappointed. So he's
- 15:55Speaker 1: supposed to say all of this disappointed, and he it's
- 16:00Speaker 1: trying to figure out a way to muster up the disappointment.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Now this is all folklore, this is all this this
- 16:05Speaker 1: might not be true, and he was trying to figure
- 16:07Speaker 1: it out a way to mustard up and he goes disappointed.
- 16:17Speaker 2: I love those Hollywood stories where you hear something that
- 16:19Speaker 2: some actors said, you have no idea if it's true
- 16:21Speaker 2: or not, but they're they're funny to hear. I know,
- 16:23Speaker 2: wan with Christina Ricci, apparently she was I have no again,
- 16:27Speaker 2: I have no idea this is true, but I heard
- 16:28Speaker 2: the story that she was getting all this direction. The
- 16:30Speaker 2: director was going into all this elaborate stuff, and she
- 16:32Speaker 2: looked at him and said, look more happy or more
- 16:34Speaker 2: sad at the end of the day, right, which, when
- 16:38Speaker 2: you think about it, is pretty great. It was pretty
- 16:39Speaker 2: Let's just just break it all down. Do you want
- 16:41Speaker 2: it more happy or do you want it more sad?
- 16:44Speaker 5: That's very Wednesday of her.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't want to hear your elaborate your directions
- 16:49Speaker 2: so confusing. Do you want me happier or sadder.
- 16:54Speaker 5: By the end the day? That's like very Carla and Turk,
- 16:56Speaker 5: isn't it. It's like, what are you doing? You just
- 16:59Speaker 5: ruined it for the rest of our relationship.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Well, you were such a you two had such a
- 17:02Speaker 2: great relationship on the show, and I think so many
- 17:05Speaker 2: people were genuinely invested in you too, which is just
- 17:08Speaker 2: such a testament to how how good your chemistry was
- 17:11Speaker 2: and of course how good both of your performances were,
- 17:13Speaker 2: but just.
- 17:13Speaker 1: So so cute also, like just so like Carla and
- 17:18Speaker 1: Turk together was like, that's definite relationship goals for me.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Like if my relationship was like that, would you know?
- 17:26Speaker 1: It's so much so that it kind of is like
- 17:28Speaker 1: that when you when you really think about it. You know,
- 17:31Speaker 1: my wife is the boss of this, you know what
- 17:35Speaker 1: I mean. Carler was the boss, you know what I mean,
- 17:38Speaker 1: all the way up into how she made the guy
- 17:41Speaker 1: ask her out, you know what I mean. She got
- 17:43Speaker 1: him to the point where he was she offered sex
- 17:46Speaker 1: to him, and he declined, you know what I mean.
- 17:50Speaker 1: He declined because he was afraid to ruin the relationship
- 17:54Speaker 1: because he saw where it was going, you know what
- 17:56Speaker 1: I mean.
- 17:56Speaker 5: And that's just so particularly in this episode where where
- 18:00Speaker 5: Carla fucks up so bad and she goes to Turk,
- 18:04Speaker 5: where he's exemplary more than where Carla talks a lot
- 18:08Speaker 5: and she's just strong, but she falls apart and she
- 18:12Speaker 5: goes to him and she sees what he does, you know,
- 18:15Speaker 5: he walks the walk and she just does what he
- 18:16Speaker 5: does at the end of the day, you know, and
- 18:19Speaker 5: she sees she sees how strong Turk is as well,
- 18:23Speaker 5: and she goes by his example.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Judy, do you think that you I mean, I'm sure
- 18:28Speaker 2: this has come up for you. I hear it all
- 18:29Speaker 2: the time that you inspired a lot of people to
- 18:32Speaker 2: become nurses, which must be a pretty incredible thing, because
- 18:36Speaker 2: I just I when I watch the show, especially now
- 18:38Speaker 2: back and having some experience in hospitals with sick family members,
- 18:42Speaker 2: I'm so aware of the power of the nurses and
- 18:44Speaker 2: how the nurses are running the whole show. And to me,
- 18:47Speaker 2: when I rewatched this, Carla was just just the exemplar
- 18:51Speaker 2: of the most amazing nurse there ever was. And I
- 18:54Speaker 2: just wonder what your experience of people, men and women
- 18:57Speaker 2: coming up to you and saying you may have inspired
- 18:59Speaker 2: them to go I.
- 19:01Speaker 5: Think that's true. Well, I don't know that that hates.
- 19:03Speaker 5: I think that people who may have been considering a
- 19:05Speaker 5: career in medicine, they got that extra push from seeing
- 19:08Speaker 5: a character like Carla and a Loma and a show
- 19:13Speaker 5: like Scrubs. Do you know what I mean? And the
- 19:15Speaker 5: strength of someone like that and the true power of
- 19:19Speaker 5: those of those people in that profession, do you know
- 19:22Speaker 5: what I mean? Where people find, you know, the glory
- 19:25Speaker 5: in the doctors, for example, that they don't know that
- 19:30Speaker 5: you cannot have those doctors without the nurses. I remember
- 19:33Speaker 5: having that conversation with Bill one time where he wanted
- 19:36Speaker 5: to explore the idea of Carla wanting to pursue a
- 19:39Speaker 5: career as a doctor, and I was like, no, I
- 19:43Speaker 5: wasn't interested in that because I think Carla loves being
- 19:47Speaker 5: a nurse and I love you know, that's where her
- 19:49Speaker 5: strength and her power and her vanity and her ego live.
- 19:52Speaker 5: And I think that she's really okay with that, do
- 19:55Speaker 5: you know what I mean? And the dynamics of the
- 19:58Speaker 5: relationships with every with her and everyone in the hospital
- 20:02Speaker 5: our strongest there, you know what I mean, and that
- 20:04Speaker 5: there's nothing wrong with that, and her viewing audience, and
- 20:07Speaker 5: for me as a Latina, all these Latinas find strength
- 20:11Speaker 5: and there's a lot of a huge force with people
- 20:16Speaker 5: and women and women of color in particular, and particularly
- 20:20Speaker 5: at that time.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I wanted to segue you, Joel, great segue into this episode.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Actually it is.
- 20:26Speaker 2: And also I just want to point out Joel because
- 20:28Speaker 2: she's such a good producer. Sent me this statement, sent
- 20:32Speaker 2: us this. The Annenberg Inclusion Initiative at the University of
- 20:35Speaker 2: Southern California released a study in twenty nineteen that said,
- 20:39Speaker 2: quote Latino actors represented only three percent of lead or
- 20:43Speaker 2: co lead roles in top performing movies during the last
- 20:47Speaker 2: twelve years. That this is movies, not TV, but it's
- 20:49Speaker 2: the same thing. What impression do you think Carla left
- 20:52Speaker 2: on your community, which I thought was a really smart
- 20:55Speaker 2: question that I have to give Joelle a credit for.
- 20:57Speaker 5: I think it left a huge impression. I get again,
- 21:00Speaker 5: I get it all the time. And I think people
- 21:02Speaker 5: built on it. A lot of roles were designed on
- 21:06Speaker 5: Carla as a result, you know, a lot of strong,
- 21:10Speaker 5: sassy roles as a result of that.
- 21:13Speaker 2: But not, I mean, you weren't a caricature in any sense,
- 21:16Speaker 2: not in any sense. Yeah. I thought it was a
- 21:18Speaker 2: testament to the writing, absolutely.
- 21:20Speaker 5: And it's and I think it's been challenging to find
- 21:24Speaker 5: characters and roles that have been as strong and as
- 21:28Speaker 5: memorable since. You know, I know it's hard for me
- 21:31Speaker 5: to find roles that have been as strong and as
- 21:33Speaker 5: memorable since and and for me to find you're just
- 21:36Speaker 5: like you were talking in that and that, uh, the
- 21:39Speaker 5: podcast that I was listening with you guys and Bill.
- 21:42Speaker 5: People want like a phase on type of character, you know,
- 21:46Speaker 5: built on because that's the power and the force of
- 21:49Speaker 5: a very well written, very well acted show where you're
- 21:52Speaker 5: trying to just build on the kind of actor that
- 21:55Speaker 5: you are, but move past that is a real challenge
- 21:58Speaker 5: because it's hard to find written roles but yeah, and
- 22:03Speaker 5: the discussions and the arguments of the debates that you
- 22:05Speaker 5: have with the writers to keep it real and keep
- 22:08Speaker 5: it honest, keep it flawed, keep it complicated, which is
- 22:12Speaker 5: all that Bill and the writers responded to really honestly,
- 22:17Speaker 5: you know. And Bill responded to what I said, Yeah,
- 22:19Speaker 5: let's keep her a nurse, because you know that's where
- 22:22Speaker 5: the challenge is in a hospital environment living.
- 22:24Speaker 2: And he was really respectful of your input, I think.
- 22:26Speaker 2: And all right, we're gonna go to commercial because that's
- 22:30Speaker 2: where're supposed to do.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Donald, I thought we were going to go into the episode.
- 22:33Speaker 2: We're going to but I'm seeing a chat from from
- 22:36Speaker 2: this producers. This is like the longest do you ever
- 22:39Speaker 2: look at the chat? Thanks supposed to talking about the
- 22:41Speaker 2: show though, I know, Bro, But listen, Judy is entertaining
- 22:45Speaker 2: as hell, and we're going to go.
- 22:46Speaker 4: I'm not saying it's her thought.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Why are you yelling at all of us? It feels
- 22:49Speaker 2: like you're yelling.
- 22:50Speaker 4: No one's yelling. I'm just saying the formats all fucked up.
- 22:53Speaker 4: We'll be right back.
- 23:00Speaker 5: We're strinking iced tea.
- 23:02Speaker 2: No Judy, Donald, I'm a little worried because we're only
- 23:05Speaker 2: We're only like eight episodes in and Donald has taken
- 23:07Speaker 2: the day.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Drinking only on shoot days. Only on shoot days.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I have a feeling by the time we get to
- 23:13Speaker 2: like episode twenty, he's gonna be the camera like and
- 23:15Speaker 2: another thing.
- 23:16Speaker 5: He's gonna be screaming. By episode eight, they'll.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Be like what.
- 23:23Speaker 2: His shirt will be off? His shirt will be off.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Do you remember that time, Judy all we were all
- 23:27Speaker 2: at a bar like, Oh no, I won't tell the
- 23:30Speaker 2: whole story. I won't tell the whole story, but all
- 23:32Speaker 2: I know is that Donald got drunk enough so that
- 23:34Speaker 2: his shirt was off in the bar. And I just
- 23:36Speaker 2: remember saying.
- 23:36Speaker 4: Ice bar too.
- 23:37Speaker 1: It was an ice bar, so it's it's there's a
- 23:40Speaker 1: room where you go in and it's nothing but ice.
- 23:42Speaker 1: And I went in that room shirtless and drunk.
- 23:45Speaker 2: No, but you were walking around the park. I mean,
- 23:47Speaker 2: this was just hilarious now I think about it was
- 23:49Speaker 2: it was our whole cast and crew and we were
- 23:51Speaker 2: all partying. I don't know if it was a wrap
- 23:53Speaker 2: thing or whatever, but all of a sudden I look
- 23:55Speaker 2: over and Donald was drunk enough so that he was
- 23:57Speaker 2: like having animated discs Russians without his shirt on in
- 24:02Speaker 2: the bar.
- 24:04Speaker 5: It's fact that you remember that.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Because I did.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I did some stupid things and my then girlfriend now
- 24:11Speaker 1: wife showed up to surprise me, and I was acting
- 24:15Speaker 1: a fool at the bar.
- 24:18Speaker 5: Have evidence.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's such a good story. But I don't know.
- 24:21Speaker 4: If I don't know, I don't know. If I don't know,
- 24:23Speaker 4: can he asked.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Casey, if we can have permission Mabel tail on a
- 24:25Speaker 2: later episode.
- 24:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll ask her.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Yeah. But in the meantime, just know that Donald got
- 24:29Speaker 2: in trouble and also had his shirt off.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, do.
- 24:33Speaker 5: You remember the time Donald got in trouble.
- 24:35Speaker 4: That's like every that's a lot that happened a lot.
- 24:38Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 24:39Speaker 5: Every every episode he got in trouble and took off
- 24:42Speaker 5: oh my god, said part of clothing.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Yeah. And when Donald would yeah, he dio his clothes off,
- 24:47Speaker 2: and then if he got to the next level drunk,
- 24:48Speaker 2: he'd leave angrily, and like sometimes you leave angrily with
- 24:51Speaker 2: no shirt on?
- 24:52Speaker 4: Yeah, right, yo, dude, that.
- 24:55Speaker 5: He my god, that's just Donald the newtist.
- 24:58Speaker 2: You need to show right, he wants home so mad.
- 25:00Speaker 2: We won't go into this story. We won't go this
- 25:03Speaker 2: all I going to say is that he walked. We live,
- 25:05Speaker 2: we both lived at the time in the Hollywood Hills,
- 25:07Speaker 2: and he once walked home, walked home, no shirt.
- 25:11Speaker 4: On from the brea and melrose up.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Into the Hollywood Hills, like there's no sidewalks, Like people
- 25:17Speaker 2: don't walk where Donald. This is where Donald walked. And
- 25:20Speaker 2: he was powerwalking, like arms flying, mad naked, that wasn't naked.
- 25:27Speaker 4: But I was mad.
- 25:27Speaker 5: Yeah, wait that you really mad.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a long story.
- 25:31Speaker 2: That's a long story. Some of these stories we have
- 25:33Speaker 2: to censor. Should we get into the episode, we should
- 25:36Speaker 2: totally get into the I just wanted to say the
- 25:38Speaker 2: first thing that I noticed, and I is that Donald
- 25:40Speaker 2: CPR at forty eight seconds is I would not bring
- 25:44Speaker 2: anyone back to life. But I just want to say something.
- 25:46Speaker 4: It was a real human being. I'm not allowed you,
- 25:50Speaker 4: I know.
- 25:50Speaker 2: I want to tell the audience that it's a tricky
- 25:52Speaker 2: thing to give fake CPR because if you do CPR
- 25:55Speaker 2: for real, you can kill someone. So when you watch
- 25:58Speaker 2: horrible TV and movie CPR, it sometimes looked like this.
- 26:02Speaker 2: But I just wanted to say that I thought you
- 26:03Speaker 2: did a particularly bad job.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Thank you, Thank you very much.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Thank you, But it wasn't the real JD there at
- 26:13Speaker 5: the time on set to approve the favorite.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I'm sure, but if you look at if you look
- 26:18Speaker 2: at fake CPR all throughout medical TV shows, there's different techniques.
- 26:22Speaker 2: But and and you know, some people just like completely
- 26:25Speaker 2: bend their elbows so none of the pressure goes down
- 26:27Speaker 2: on the person's stern. I don't know what Donald's doing here,
- 26:30Speaker 2: but I just maybe JD had an emergency.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Maybe he was hungover from that power water.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't, I don't. I don't know why this
- 26:40Speaker 4: is a highlight of this podcast today.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I'm just saying, buddy, I'm just saying, next time you
- 26:46Speaker 2: do fake CPR in one of your projects, you know
- 26:49Speaker 2: you can do better. I believe in you. Okay, let's
- 26:52Speaker 2: talk about the Holy Inferiority Complex, Batman. This is one
- 26:55Speaker 2: of some people's favorite.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Fa You know what I wrote down when I saw
- 26:58Speaker 1: that what one of that man, Robin Starsky and Hutch
- 27:04Speaker 1: Han and Chewy Han and.
- 27:06Speaker 4: Luke Turk and JD.
- 27:11Speaker 7: H.
- 27:11Speaker 2: You're putting us up up there.
- 27:12Speaker 4: I'm saying we are ultimate ultimate dynamic duo.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I want to say that. You know, there's certain things
- 27:20Speaker 2: that come up all the time in Scrubs. Fan favorite
- 27:24Speaker 2: things that they send us gifts or they send or
- 27:26Speaker 2: I see them on on the interwebs, and this episode
- 27:29Speaker 2: has a few of them actually, but this Batman Holy
- 27:32Speaker 2: Inferity Inferiority complex is one of them.
- 27:37Speaker 5: I think it's great because then then you to at
- 27:40Speaker 5: least you're not Alfred and then you're in the help kick.
- 27:49Speaker 4: That was my best Adam west impersonation ever. Too.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I don't think I could ever, Like, you know, people
- 27:54Speaker 1: are like do Neil Diamond. I think my Adam west
- 27:57Speaker 1: impersonation was better than my Neil Diamond.
- 28:00Speaker 4: You're he works, Robin.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Yeah, your mask is so funny. I just have it
- 28:03Speaker 2: frozen on one seventeen and I know that like we weren't,
- 28:06Speaker 2: like we weren't allowed to do the exact costume again
- 28:08Speaker 2: because it's parody. It like has to have a little
- 28:10Speaker 2: twist on it. But your mask is so funny.
- 28:14Speaker 4: It's like Marti gra Ma. It's like a Marty Gras mask.
- 28:16Speaker 2: I don't know what it was, it was. It's like
- 28:18Speaker 2: a Marty funny too.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Because those were the days too, whenever we had to
- 28:22Speaker 5: do like the Scrubs fantasies, or whatever where we was like, oh,
- 28:26Speaker 5: are they doing the fantasy? And everybody would run down
- 28:28Speaker 5: from their dressing rooms and come see everybody and do
- 28:32Speaker 5: the the costumes and the fantasies. And I'd be like,
- 28:35Speaker 5: I said, wonder.
- 28:35Speaker 2: What you actually get one Judy, one thing, I one thing,
- 28:39Speaker 2: I hear one thing I noticed Judy at three twenty three?
- 28:42Speaker 2: You are you? I mean, correct me if I'm wrong.
- 28:44Speaker 2: You weren't often in the fantasies, but this was. But
- 28:48Speaker 2: this is one because because I don't know why we
- 28:50Speaker 2: can talk about that, but this was one of the
- 28:52Speaker 2: early times where you were in there doing that throwing
- 28:54Speaker 2: stars thing.
- 28:55Speaker 5: And I'll tell you because I was also listening to
- 28:58Speaker 5: when I was listening to the Bill, I remember, you
- 29:01Speaker 5: know how you know how Bill always warned us not
- 29:03Speaker 5: to go and talk to him about including or get
- 29:06Speaker 5: a bit because you would get faisoned. And I would
- 29:09Speaker 5: be terrified I'm talking to him about shit like that.
- 29:12Speaker 5: It would be like, you know, because he would always
- 29:15Speaker 5: let me know a sudden your character there would be
- 29:18Speaker 5: carrying the gravitas of the show, and I was like,
- 29:22Speaker 5: but I'm funny, goddamn it, And I'd be worried about
- 29:27Speaker 5: It's like, how do I talk to this man about
- 29:30Speaker 5: the fact that I'm funny and I want like a
- 29:32Speaker 5: fantasy and you know, or I want more jokes and shit,
- 29:36Speaker 5: you know, and those would be like and I would
- 29:39Speaker 5: literally sometimes be in my dressing room, like trying not
- 29:43Speaker 5: to cry because I'm about to confront Bill about wanting
- 29:46Speaker 5: more another joke or wanting this or wanting that, because
- 29:49Speaker 5: I wouldn't want to be faisoned or some shit.
- 29:52Speaker 2: So what would you do? Would you give yourself a
- 29:53Speaker 2: bit of a pep talk?
- 29:54Speaker 5: Oh my god? Yeah, And I would like cry in
- 29:56Speaker 5: my room before you know, I'd be pulling like an
- 29:58Speaker 5: elliot in my room. Yeah, I freaked out, you know.
- 30:04Speaker 2: And was he receptive?
- 30:05Speaker 5: He was receptive. He was receptive, I think.
- 30:07Speaker 2: I mean, I have no idea what his reasoning was,
- 30:10Speaker 2: but I but it sounds like, just from hearing you
- 30:12Speaker 2: recount it, that that Carla was always the base of
- 30:18Speaker 2: the reality and and the gravitas and the drama, so
- 30:22Speaker 2: he didn't want her going into being too silly. But
- 30:26Speaker 2: it's funny in this episode, you do have some funny
- 30:28Speaker 2: ass shit.
- 30:28Speaker 4: I think total I like the Ninja stuff that was funny.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that was very fun walking in with your girlfriend,
- 30:35Speaker 1: laughing and everything and then getting caught out there.
- 30:37Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that was I was gonna say.
- 30:42Speaker 4: I didn't recall.
- 30:44Speaker 1: To be honest, I don't recall a lot of I
- 30:46Speaker 1: say this every single podcast. I don't recall a lot
- 30:49Speaker 1: of scrubs when watching it. But I didn't recall that
- 30:54Speaker 1: you and Elliott had such a rocky start. I always
- 30:57Speaker 1: thought that you guys had a great relationship, But I
- 31:01Speaker 1: do you remember when it switched to where you guys
- 31:04Speaker 1: became Was it early on? Because like, even in this episode,
- 31:09Speaker 1: you're totally dissing her, you know, you like you know,
- 31:13Speaker 1: and and it seems like it's always that way. She
- 31:15Speaker 1: puts her foot in her mouth and you're like, I
- 31:17Speaker 1: got to get the hell away from this person. Carl's like,
- 31:20Speaker 1: I got to get the hell away.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Well, the beginning, Sarah was pretty disrespectful to Carla, you know,
- 31:24Speaker 2: like she you know, so I think I would imagine
- 31:27Speaker 2: I mean, obviously I want to know your answer, but
- 31:29Speaker 2: my impression was that she was still feeling resentful towards
- 31:33Speaker 2: towards Elliott, right, I think so, And I.
- 31:35Speaker 5: Think it's more like she she doesn't get it and
- 31:38Speaker 5: she never will, you know what I mean? And I
- 31:40Speaker 5: think it's JD's impulse always to just like smooth things,
- 31:45Speaker 5: sober over and fix things and help other people understand
- 31:50Speaker 5: that she's really not just awkward. She's always screwing things up,
- 31:54Speaker 5: just like you know, trying to help people understand or
- 31:56Speaker 5: explain people to other people, you know what I mean?
- 31:59Speaker 5: And I just I got no time for this.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Do you recall when it switched over to Carla being
- 32:05Speaker 1: that person for Elliott, you know what I mean, where
- 32:08Speaker 1: Carla was making excuses for oh, this is just the
- 32:10Speaker 1: way she is. Did it ever switch over to that
- 32:12Speaker 1: or was Carla always.
- 32:14Speaker 5: I don't, I mean, I really don't. I know, I
- 32:18Speaker 5: know that it happened in this episode.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I don't know, well in this episode, even after you're like,
- 32:23Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I did that, we all know the truth.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Right, No, nobody want to hang out with Elliott.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Exactly, especially when she's rocking a neckerchief. Did you see
- 32:33Speaker 2: that neckerchief? And Ki I thought that was really funny
- 32:39Speaker 2: that moment. It's around five twenty six or so, when
- 32:42Speaker 2: you guys are walking into your going out outfits and
- 32:44Speaker 2: she's got her khakis and her little like Scooby Doo.
- 32:49Speaker 2: What's the character in Scooby Doo that has the neckerchief?
- 32:51Speaker 2: It was so random. Yeah, that was her going out outfit,
- 32:57Speaker 2: so sanitary. And then she puts her foot in her
- 33:01Speaker 2: mouth with your friend. Yes because she has a.
- 33:04Speaker 5: Son, right, Yes, she has a son who's like really young,
- 33:07Speaker 5: and she's like, Wow, way to rob the cradle.
- 33:11Speaker 4: I'm gonna be I'm gonna be honest with you.
- 33:13Speaker 1: I had a lot of issues with this episode as
- 33:16Speaker 1: far as stereotypes go. And I know this is the
- 33:18Speaker 1: episode with Stereo about stereotypes and everything like that, but.
- 33:21Speaker 4: There's just so many things that, you know.
- 33:23Speaker 1: One of the lines Turk says in the show is like,
- 33:25Speaker 1: you know, all my whole life, people always assume that
- 33:28Speaker 1: I'm a good athlete, that I that I that I
- 33:31Speaker 1: uh uh was it. I'm a good athlete. I grew
- 33:34Speaker 1: up poor and I love Sanford and Son. Those things
- 33:39Speaker 1: are kind of true about me.
- 33:42Speaker 4: At the end of the day. I'm a pretty decent athlete.
- 33:47Speaker 4: I didn't grow up with a lot of money, and
- 33:50Speaker 4: I truly love Sanford and Son.
- 33:53Speaker 5: But it's the obvious exploitation of those things and trying
- 33:56Speaker 5: to me money off of that ship.
- 33:58Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Absolutely, There's a lot of deep things that that we
- 34:03Speaker 1: talk about in this episode. You know, you you touched
- 34:06Speaker 1: on it earlier, and that's why I was saying it
- 34:07Speaker 1: was such a great segue into this episode. You know,
- 34:11Speaker 1: people of color don't go to hospitals or don't go
- 34:13Speaker 1: to the doctor, you know what I mean. And it's
- 34:15Speaker 1: because they don't. My opinion is because they don't see
- 34:18Speaker 1: themselves when they go. They see a bunch of other
- 34:20Speaker 1: colors when they go, and that can be very scary,
- 34:23Speaker 1: you know what I mean. We touch on it in
- 34:25Speaker 1: this episode, but I feel like, yeah, I understand why
- 34:28Speaker 1: Turk's upset because you know, his face is placid and
- 34:31Speaker 1: he's being exploited to try and bring a hip new
- 34:34Speaker 1: crowd into the hospital and everything like that. But there's
- 34:37Speaker 1: something deeper in that one. I didn't know that Sacred
- 34:40Speaker 1: Heart was in the inner city. I had no idea
- 34:42Speaker 1: that it was an inner city hospital.
- 34:44Speaker 3: One.
- 34:44Speaker 2: You didn't this whole time.
- 34:46Speaker 1: This whole time, there's so listen, hardly any people of
- 34:50Speaker 1: color in that right in in the hospital, you know
- 34:52Speaker 1: what I mean. And you know, at the end of
- 34:57Speaker 1: the day, this was something that really struck home with me.
- 35:00Speaker 1: You know, we talk about we talk about COVID now
- 35:02Speaker 1: and how you know, people of color are a very
- 35:06Speaker 1: high percentage of people that are dying because we have
- 35:09Speaker 1: so many underlying conditions and stuff like that. But a
- 35:11Speaker 1: lot of that has to do with being afraid to
- 35:14Speaker 1: go to the doctor or to the hospital because when
- 35:18Speaker 1: you go there, they're either going to give you bad
- 35:20Speaker 1: news or you're gonna die, you know what I mean.
- 35:23Speaker 4: And I feel like it's so prevalent in this you
- 35:26Speaker 4: know what I mean.
- 35:27Speaker 1: You know, we talk about it in this episode in
- 35:31Speaker 1: a small way, but that's what I took away from this.
- 35:34Speaker 1: I took what my takeaway from this was, you know,
- 35:38Speaker 1: it's more than just turk being exploited. It has everything
- 35:42Speaker 1: to do with, you know, how can we make health
- 35:45Speaker 1: care better for people of color? But my first thing was, wow,
- 35:49Speaker 1: I wish we truthfully need to figure out this healthcare
- 35:52Speaker 1: system when it comes to the stigmatism that people of
- 35:56Speaker 1: color have when they go to a hospital. When I
- 35:59Speaker 1: finished the episode, I was like, Okay, the lesson is
- 36:01Speaker 1: nobody wants to be taking advantage of and stand up
- 36:03Speaker 1: for yourself and everything like that.
- 36:05Speaker 4: I was like, but there's something deeper in that.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Also, where the hell did this kid and I get
- 36:09Speaker 1: this fucking imaginary football from.
- 36:11Speaker 2: I just started laughing at that too.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Two to each other at the end of the show.
- 36:15Speaker 2: I was laughing at that too. I was like, sweet
- 36:16Speaker 2: a second, you were stitching him up in an o
- 36:19Speaker 2: R and then all of a sudden, there's a football
- 36:21Speaker 2: was there was on the shelf, like how did this?
- 36:23Speaker 4: How did this happen?
- 36:25Speaker 2: By the way, and that story, and that story's pretty
- 36:28Speaker 2: glossed over too. It's like, you got knifed, Yeah, you
- 36:31Speaker 2: got stabbed, Yeah, you got stabbed in the arm. Yeah,
- 36:34Speaker 2: let's toss a ball.
- 36:35Speaker 4: Let's play football, now you know what I mean. And
- 36:38Speaker 4: that's what I was sitting there. I was like, this
- 36:40Speaker 4: is some stereotypical bullshit.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Yeah, he got knife in the arm, and you were
- 36:46Speaker 2: then you're making some joke like I got this from.
- 36:48Speaker 2: What was your joke? Like I, oh my my injuries
- 36:51Speaker 2: from me or something like that. Yeah, anyway, here, Jim,
- 36:54Speaker 2: here's a ball.
- 36:55Speaker 4: Yeah, let's play catch.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Let's have a catch in the r. That wrestling fantasy
- 37:00Speaker 2: was pretty funny. I think I love that. I'm going
- 37:03Speaker 2: to prove you I'm gonna prove you because I'm the
- 37:06Speaker 2: in turn. I was so excited to do that. I
- 37:09Speaker 2: like pro wrestling when I was a kid.
- 37:11Speaker 3: J D.
- 37:12Speaker 4: Macho Man Savage.
- 37:13Speaker 2: I accidentally freeze framed at seven oh six, and I
- 37:16Speaker 2: think it might be the most unattractive shot of me
- 37:18Speaker 2: in Scrubs history. It was like this wide angle lens
- 37:22Speaker 2: and I'm all up close to it. My giant nose, and.
- 37:26Speaker 4: And your hair likes show enough. You had hair like
- 37:28Speaker 4: show enough from the last Dragon two.
- 37:29Speaker 2: By the way, I like my hair like that. I
- 37:31Speaker 2: was really enjoying it. I mean the wig extension, whatever
- 37:34Speaker 2: it is. I think that they did a good job
- 37:36Speaker 2: because I wish I could rock hair like that. My
- 37:39Speaker 2: hair would never do that.
- 37:40Speaker 5: It wouldn't.
- 37:41Speaker 2: No, it wouldn't. It wouldn't be so glorious.
- 37:44Speaker 8: Neither would mine.
- 37:46Speaker 2: No, you have beautiful curly hair.
- 37:47Speaker 5: I'm looking My hair wouldn't be like all straight and shit.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Judy talking about that bar scene at eight oh four.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Do you remember shooting that and it's the when you
- 37:56Speaker 2: when you show up and Sarah's drinking alone? Do you
- 37:58Speaker 2: remember shooting that or and that woman that you worked with?
- 38:01Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm sorry I don't know her name.
- 38:03Speaker 2: I mean, you probably don't remember her naming there, but
- 38:04Speaker 2: I thought she did a good job.
- 38:06Speaker 5: No, she was super sweet, and I do remember like
- 38:09Speaker 5: the whole idea of doing that scene. I I just
- 38:12Speaker 5: loved the idea of fucking up on someone so badly,
- 38:16Speaker 5: you know, and just being sough, so uncomfortable around someone
- 38:23Speaker 5: that you would.
- 38:24Speaker 4: H hide under a table, you know, yeah, hide under a.
- 38:28Speaker 5: Table, do you know what I mean? And having to
- 38:31Speaker 5: like try to find ways to just completely avoid them
- 38:34Speaker 5: because you screwed up so badly. And how I'm telling Turk,
- 38:39Speaker 5: you're such a guy and you don't fucking understand what's
- 38:42Speaker 5: going on. And then Jad comes and I'm so sorry
- 38:45Speaker 5: what I did and they apologize to each other like
- 38:47Speaker 5: nothing happened.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Do you think that that's a good What do you
- 38:51Speaker 2: think the commentary is there that like men can communicate
- 38:54Speaker 2: with each other? I mean what I laughed at that,
- 38:56Speaker 2: but then I was thinking, like, what is what is
- 38:58Speaker 2: the social commentary there? Just the just that Turk and
- 39:01Speaker 2: GD have such a close relationship and they know how
- 39:03Speaker 2: to communicate.
- 39:04Speaker 5: I think so I think they already apologize to each other,
- 39:07Speaker 5: but they want to say listen. I hope you got me.
- 39:09Speaker 5: I'm really sorry for what happened. I didn't mean it.
- 39:11Speaker 5: I know that you didn't mean it as cool, you
- 39:13Speaker 5: know what I mean. Just right after and I think
- 39:15Speaker 5: she realizes, like shit, I really just have to go
- 39:18Speaker 5: confront her, you know where she's trying to avoid it.
- 39:21Speaker 5: I think, you know, guy, but these these guys they're
- 39:25Speaker 5: so they're such good friends that they're going to they're
- 39:29Speaker 5: not going to do that to their friendship, you know.
- 39:31Speaker 5: And he's and and Turk is looking off and then
- 39:33Speaker 5: you know we're getting there. She's looking at him like,
- 39:38Speaker 5: you know, go fuck yourself.
- 39:39Speaker 3: And then we did that.
- 39:40Speaker 2: There's some sound effect on our fist bump that's like.
- 39:44Speaker 5: Me, yeah, you know, their friendship isn't healed and by
- 39:51Speaker 5: no means of friendship. And and Aloma and I love
- 39:54Speaker 5: that whole and the whole nurse thing with like Aloma
- 39:57Speaker 5: being in the JD seek his his his fucking evaluations
- 40:03Speaker 5: so desperately from Cox, I think fits into that story
- 40:06Speaker 5: so well, he's asking from Aloma and miss doctor Cox
- 40:09Speaker 5: is there. She's like, can't you see I'm watching my story? Yeah,
- 40:14Speaker 5: I remember that whole my story is thing being so
- 40:16Speaker 5: hilarious during that episode. I do remember, and everybody's like
- 40:19Speaker 5: quoting it all over the place.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Aloma was so funny. You could just give her anything and.
- 40:23Speaker 5: She's just like one line and she's just magical. Yeah,
- 40:28Speaker 5: she comes and what Carla didn't give Elliott Laverne gave her.
- 40:35Speaker 5: You know it was Alma right, play so beautiful. She goes,
- 40:38Speaker 5: she just gives her. She goes, why so sad marsham mellow,
- 40:41Speaker 5: and then she gives her a little hot chocolate, her
- 40:43Speaker 5: little marshmallow.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Did marshmallow stick Marshall? Did it? Did?
- 40:47Speaker 5: I think it did? Yeah?
- 40:49Speaker 2: We think Carla and Nurse Roberts were friends outside of work, Yes, yeah, absolutely,
- 40:55Speaker 2: that story never got told. I want to see I
- 40:57Speaker 2: want to see the Nurse Roberts Carla Vegas trip.
- 41:04Speaker 4: Did Aloma ever go with us to Vegas? Did she
- 41:06Speaker 4: go with us to Vegas for the rapt?
- 41:08Speaker 7: So?
- 41:08Speaker 2: I think Alma was. I think Aloma was religious and
- 41:10Speaker 2: she wasn't.
- 41:11Speaker 4: She was staying away from that. Jesus will not be there.
- 41:15Speaker 3: I know that.
- 41:18Speaker 5: I think she would have done. You know, we been
- 41:22Speaker 5: at the slot machine the whole time.
- 41:23Speaker 4: But do you remember that Vegas trip? Yeah? We went twice.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Do you know that.
- 41:29Speaker 5: I don't.
- 41:31Speaker 1: We went for one one time we went for like
- 41:33Speaker 1: a birthday, and then another time we went for.
- 41:37Speaker 4: Am I wrong? I might be wrong.
- 41:39Speaker 2: I don't know. Well, we definitely went for to shoot
- 41:41Speaker 2: this thing with the Blue Man Group, and then we
- 41:44Speaker 2: stayed and had a party, right, Yes.
- 41:46Speaker 4: No, that was the Rap party.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Was the Rap Party and the Blue Man Group thing
- 41:50Speaker 2: the same trip. No, there were two trips to Vegas.
- 41:54Speaker 2: There were like three or four trips. What a good deal,
- 41:58Speaker 2: great deal.
- 42:00Speaker 4: That's another question. When the last time any of you
- 42:02Speaker 4: have been to Vegas.
- 42:04Speaker 2: I don't think it's wise for me to go to
- 42:05Speaker 2: Vegas anymore.
- 42:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:07Speaker 5: I remember when I went to Vegas, and I think
- 42:10Speaker 5: Bill was it. I was like, I've never played poker
- 42:12Speaker 5: or I've never played let it, come on, come on,
- 42:15Speaker 5: you can do it.
- 42:15Speaker 7: You could do it.
- 42:16Speaker 5: You could do it. And I played and I beat
- 42:17Speaker 5: him and he got pissed.
- 42:20Speaker 4: That's I remember.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Bill. Bill Laurin says one of the best quotes about
- 42:23Speaker 2: Vegas that I always think about, and he goes, I've
- 42:25Speaker 2: never had a good second night in Vegas.
- 42:28Speaker 5: It's the day.
- 42:31Speaker 2: You gotta go and get the fuck out and get out,
- 42:34Speaker 2: Get out. Donald. I once went to Vegas with Donald
- 42:37Speaker 2: and Jude once many I've been to Vegas many times
- 42:40Speaker 2: with Donald. But once he uh, we were playing blackjack
- 42:43Speaker 2: and he got crushed and he went upstairs and went
- 42:47Speaker 2: to sleep. It was like nine to thirty. He was
- 42:49Speaker 2: so mad that how badly he got beaten blackjack that
- 42:53Speaker 2: he just he said, dismoppared. And I don't think you
- 42:55Speaker 2: came back out. You went to bed at like nine thirty.
- 42:57Speaker 4: What came out the next day. I met y'all at
- 43:01Speaker 4: the pool the next day.
- 43:03Speaker 2: Get a good night's sleep.
- 43:04Speaker 4: Yeah, sleep.
- 43:05Speaker 2: I wanted to say that that billboard at nine fifty eight,
- 43:08Speaker 2: that that that Kelso has made was really up. So
- 43:12Speaker 2: nowadays that would be a visual effect, But back in
- 43:14Speaker 2: two thousand and one, they made that billboard and it
- 43:17Speaker 2: was and I remember it was up for a little while,
- 43:19Speaker 2: right Donald, Yeah, I.
- 43:20Speaker 4: Didn't realize that the rainbow flag was behind it though.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Well. Diversity, Yeah, you know what I thought.
- 43:26Speaker 1: The diversity was the fact that a white guy and
- 43:28Speaker 1: a black guy could work at the same hospital together.
- 43:31Speaker 4: Black guy was gay, not that the black guy was gay.
- 43:36Speaker 5: Remember remember that they took down all the posters in
- 43:38Speaker 5: the hospital, but they left the was up up for
- 43:40Speaker 5: a while.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Yeah, those were hilarious. By the way, I wish I
- 43:44Speaker 2: was when I was watching this episode, was I wish
- 43:46Speaker 2: I had one of those as a souvenir.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Time to get an EKGG would be hanging up in
- 43:51Speaker 4: my house, dude.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Time to get an ekg G is my favorite one.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Oh my gosh.
- 43:57Speaker 2: I wanted to say that A ten o eight is
- 43:58Speaker 2: when you get mad at me. We're in car about
- 44:00Speaker 2: the billboard and then I do an homage to the
- 44:03Speaker 2: movie Vacation where I go roll them up. Do you
- 44:05Speaker 2: remember that? Do you remember? Do you remember in the
- 44:08Speaker 2: movie Vacation when Chevy Chase is frantically they end up
- 44:11Speaker 2: in a bad neighborhood and they're stealing their their their tired,
- 44:13Speaker 2: their hubcaps, and there's they hear a gunshot and Chevy
- 44:16Speaker 2: Chase goes.
- 44:16Speaker 4: Roll them roll the windows, no doubt.
- 44:22Speaker 2: So I just recognize my homage to the Vacation there.
- 44:25Speaker 4: And then you also said keep it real.
- 44:27Speaker 1: You also said keep it real in the scene where
- 44:29Speaker 1: you come where we apologize to it after the fist bump,
- 44:33Speaker 1: you said keep it real. That's a bit of a
- 44:35Speaker 1: bit of an homage to I would say, oh.
- 44:38Speaker 2: To Chevy Chase, no to Clueless, oh to Clueless.
- 44:41Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Ten forty one. This is the Sandford and Son thing,
- 44:45Speaker 2: which was pretty funny and I laughed out loud when
- 44:48Speaker 2: you did it, like reluctantly, you did your you're sad,
- 44:52Speaker 2: like I try and get you into the Sandford sonthing
- 44:55Speaker 2: and then you sort.
- 44:55Speaker 4: Of well, I do it because I can't really help it.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, but it's it's the it's you had this
- 45:02Speaker 2: look on your face is like so reluctant, but you
- 45:05Speaker 2: can't help it.
- 45:05Speaker 4: But I can't help it.
- 45:06Speaker 5: We're purpet We're better.
- 45:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and then it cuts and then it cuts to
- 45:14Speaker 2: an ass slapping dance where we're seeing.
- 45:18Speaker 4: Yes, it's just dirt.
- 45:20Speaker 2: That's a special moment in Scrubs history with us both
- 45:23Speaker 2: dancing and as slapping. Bill had reference to you being
- 45:26Speaker 2: on the brochure twice when he's on this is the
- 45:28Speaker 2: moment that happens eleven thirty four.
- 45:30Speaker 4: Now, he said this was a problem that he some
- 45:33Speaker 4: people got mad about it.
- 45:34Speaker 2: I'm sure people get mad at everything, but I think
- 45:36Speaker 2: this was a real story. I think, as I understand
- 45:39Speaker 2: this was taken from a real anecdote where ecology gotten
- 45:42Speaker 2: caught putting the same person on the on the brochure twice.
- 45:45Speaker 2: We're gonna take a quick break and we'll be right back.
- 45:55Speaker 7: And we are back before we want to jump in,
- 45:58Speaker 7: before we started, before we get started. This is Tiffany.
- 46:01Speaker 4: Hi, Tiffany inter being here. Tiffany, how are you?
- 46:05Speaker 8: Oh my gosh, sorry, no, it's beautiful, super excited guys.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Oh wait, Joelle, what did you want to say before
- 46:15Speaker 2: we want to get all this? What did you want
- 46:16Speaker 2: to say?
- 46:17Speaker 7: So this is a surprise for Tiffany's husband, so he
- 46:20Speaker 7: does not know that he's about to come want to
- 46:22Speaker 7: talk to you guys, Why Tishany.

- 47:01Speaker 4: a closet.
- 47:02Speaker 2: No, don't. Don't that he'll be disappointed if he finds
- 47:04Speaker 2: out it's us and his wife's luring him to the closet.
- 47:06Speaker 8: Yeah, he has, he has no idea. I had to
- 47:08Speaker 8: come up with a very elaborate ruse to try to
- 47:11Speaker 8: work all this out. I'm a horrible liar. So he
- 47:13Speaker 8: either thinks I'm having some kind of breakdown or hiding
- 47:16Speaker 8: something from him. So well, the big reveal is going
- 47:18Speaker 8: to be fabulous.
- 47:18Speaker 2: So what's the plan? How do we best from you?

- 47:24Speaker 8: important work phone call, and so I was going to
- 47:26Speaker 8: go out there and say I need tech support.
- 47:28Speaker 2: I can't.

- 47:44Speaker 2: hug you.
- 47:45Speaker 4: And we're fake doctor, so we're used to. So we're
- 47:47Speaker 4: kind of used to.

- 47:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:51Speaker 5: Nice, Okay, I'm gonna bear it back.

- 48:03Speaker 2: to be disappointed. What if he's like, oh I thought
- 48:05Speaker 2: Donald's drunk.
- 48:05Speaker 4: He doesn't feel Donald's drunk. Hold on, guys, I've got
- 48:10Speaker 4: a nice little buzz going.

- 50:08Speaker 2: Well you will be.
- 50:09Speaker 4: I'm not gonna cry.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Well anyway, Hi, We're so bad that you like our
- 50:13Speaker 2: little TV show and and and we just wanted to say,
- 50:15Speaker 2: have the anniversary. And if you wanted to ask us
- 50:17Speaker 2: anything or or anything, We're here to answer questions. It
- 50:21Speaker 2: could be about the show, it could be about your life,
- 50:23Speaker 2: whatever you want.
- 50:25Speaker 4: I feel like I feel like when you met Lando,
- 50:32Speaker 4: I mean Chris.
- 50:36Speaker 2: Don't do it, Donald, give them a little lando.
- 50:40Speaker 1: You know, here's a little, here's a little, here's a
- 50:43Speaker 1: little trivia. I was doing like a celebration. So Star
- 50:47Speaker 1: Wars has a celebration every year, right, and I was
- 50:51Speaker 1: doing a celebration one of the celebrations because I voiced
- 50:54Speaker 1: one of the characters on a Star Wars television show.
- 50:59Speaker 1: And yeah, somebody told me that Billy D Williams was
- 51:02Speaker 1: next door and that I should go say hi to him,
- 51:05Speaker 1: and I.
- 51:06Speaker 4: Got really excited. I was like, oh, snap, Billy D
- 51:08Speaker 4: wants to say hi to me. Okay, let me go
- 51:10Speaker 4: say hi.
- 51:11Speaker 1: So I walked into the room and I know there's
- 51:13Speaker 1: a bunch of people in line and they're waiting to
- 51:15Speaker 1: say hi to Billy D and take picture with him.
- 51:17Speaker 1: And I walk into Gold Counters in and he jumps
- 51:23Speaker 1: and then he looks over at me and he's like
- 51:25Speaker 1: the lines over there, Oh my god, Oh.
- 51:32Speaker 2: My god, you must have been crushed. He's like, you
- 51:34Speaker 2: broke my heart. It broke my heart. In your mind,
- 51:37Speaker 2: my heart in your mind. You thought he was going
- 51:39Speaker 2: to be like, don come over here.
- 51:46Speaker 5: Oh my god.
- 51:50Speaker 4: Anyway, so if you have any questions that you want
- 51:52Speaker 4: to ask.
- 51:53Speaker 2: Don't be don't be shy, tell us to ask us anything.
- 51:56Speaker 4: He still was your favorite guest star. I guess favorite guest.
- 52:01Speaker 2: Star, favorite guest star. Do you want to go first?
- 52:03Speaker 2: As since you're our favorite guest ever I had, I.
- 52:07Speaker 5: Could tell you the first most shocking guest star because
- 52:11Speaker 5: I don't know. I'm like that. I don't necessarily get starstruck.
- 52:14Speaker 5: But I remember the first time I remember we had
- 52:17Speaker 5: Eric Castrada. Yes, and he was on the You guys
- 52:22Speaker 5: remember Erica Strata from Chips.
- 52:25Speaker 1: For those of you out there who don't, who don't
- 52:27Speaker 1: remember the show Chips, Uh, there was an actor on
- 52:30Speaker 1: the show by the name of Erica Strada who was
- 52:32Speaker 1: America's heart throb back in the day.
- 52:35Speaker 5: Yes, and he wasn't supposed to be the star guy
- 52:37Speaker 5: who was supposed to be starting the show. Who knows
- 52:39Speaker 5: nobody remembers his name.
- 52:41Speaker 1: I remember him as a character's named Erica Strada is
- 52:44Speaker 1: the actual name of the dude who played punch.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Well, can you tell us his name? Please? I feel.
- 52:51Speaker 5: Myself too. But nonetheless, when I came in to hearing
- 52:54Speaker 5: makeup and and there was Erica Strada getting his he
- 52:58Speaker 5: was just doing like a you know, like a real
- 53:00Speaker 5: quick guest appearance. And I saw him. I was like,
- 53:04Speaker 5: by just standing in the same room with this guy,
- 53:06Speaker 5: I couldn't even speak, and now I have a big
- 53:08Speaker 5: giant I did. I remember Wayne Brady had a talk
- 53:12Speaker 5: show at that time, and I told him that story
- 53:16Speaker 5: and he gave me a giant poster of Eric Estratta
- 53:20Speaker 5: that I still have in my garage. Of Eric Astroda
- 53:22Speaker 5: hot pants.
- 53:24Speaker 2: I remember. I remember that Eric Eestrada were really tight,
- 53:27Speaker 2: tight motorcycle pants.
- 53:29Speaker 4: They all did.
- 53:31Speaker 2: By the way.
- 53:31Speaker 4: The actor was will Cox, Larry Willox.
- 53:34Speaker 5: Larry Wilcox. Yes, my apologies, all.
- 53:38Speaker 2: Right, you know you didn't didn't have his name, but
- 53:40Speaker 2: we want to make sure we get it out there
- 53:41Speaker 2: to respect all members of the Screen Actors Guild. Donald,
- 53:45Speaker 2: Who is your favorite guest star?
- 53:46Speaker 4: Billy D Williams. Obviously I really enjoyed, uh when Colin
- 53:51Speaker 4: Farrell came on the show.
- 53:53Speaker 5: Colin Farrell, I like that all of us men and
- 53:56Speaker 5: women almost made up with him.
- 53:58Speaker 2: Yeah, Sarah Early was excited to make out of him.
- 54:01Speaker 1: And then of course Brendan Fraser man like yes, oh,
- 54:05Speaker 1: and also and also Ryan Reynolds.
- 54:07Speaker 2: You're supposed to pick one. If I have to pick one,
- 54:11Speaker 2: the exercise was to pick one, not just starting off
- 54:14Speaker 2: famous people.
- 54:15Speaker 4: Oh well, then for me it would have to be
- 54:20Speaker 4: Billy D. Williams.
- 54:22Speaker 2: For me it was John Ridder hands downbutely because John
- 54:27Speaker 2: Ridder when I was a kid. You'll hear me say
- 54:28Speaker 2: this over and over again. I my intro at physical
- 54:31Speaker 2: comedy was Three's Company. I just thought that was the
- 54:33Speaker 2: funniest shit I had ever seen in my life. And
- 54:37Speaker 2: John Ritter doing physical comedy was just as a master.
- 54:42Speaker 2: He could fall over a couch like like no one,
- 54:44Speaker 2: and I just thought he was a master. And then
- 54:47Speaker 2: so when he came on to play my Father, I
- 54:49Speaker 2: was just gushing. I was just I loved him so much.
- 54:52Speaker 2: And in fact, he was supposed to come back for
- 54:55Speaker 2: the second time. Literally he was going to shoot Monday,
- 54:58Speaker 2: and I believe he died that weekend, the weekend, No,
- 55:02Speaker 2: the week he died the if not the night before.
- 55:06Speaker 1: No, Yeah, he was supposed to come in and he
- 55:08Speaker 1: passed away after they wrapped or while they were making
- 55:11Speaker 1: the show that he was on at the time, And
- 55:13Speaker 1: he was going to come and do our show the
- 55:15Speaker 1: next day, right, and and It's really amazing how quickly
- 55:18Speaker 1: Tom Cavanaugh, who was not scheduled to be on the show,
- 55:21Speaker 1: showed up to be on the episode, and how they
- 55:24Speaker 1: changed it around and make it so that so that
- 55:27Speaker 1: John Ritter's character had passed away on the show as well.
- 55:30Speaker 2: They had to frantically rewrite it. But that that's mine.
- 55:33Speaker 2: I mean, I'm literally getting goosebumps as I tell this story.
- 55:36Speaker 2: Just and I and I had him. I have a
- 55:39Speaker 2: framed wall on my on my in my house of
- 55:41Speaker 2: all these framed family pictures and Donald's on there a
- 55:44Speaker 2: few times, of course, and there was literally one of
- 55:47Speaker 2: the most prominent pictures was a picture of me and
- 55:50Speaker 2: John Ritter, just because he was just so important to
- 55:53Speaker 2: me and I loved him a lot.
- 55:55Speaker 1: I remember when he said my name the first time,
- 55:57Speaker 1: and it caught me. It kind of caught me off guard,
- 55:59Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Holy cow, Wow, John Brittan
- 56:02Speaker 1: knows my name, you know what I mean? I as
- 56:04Speaker 1: you did, Zach. I also grew up one Three's company,
- 56:07Speaker 1: and uh yeah, I that that's a that's a you
- 56:11Speaker 1: know what. As much as I love Billy d Williams,
- 56:14Speaker 1: meeting John Ritter was and Michael j Fox also were
- 56:18Speaker 1: highlights for me.
- 56:19Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, how about another question, because now that
- 56:23Speaker 2: it looks like your face has has settled in a
- 56:25Speaker 2: little bit, you're not stunned as much anymore.
- 56:27Speaker 4: Right, you know, your eyes aren't king I another I
- 56:35Speaker 4: don't know if I have another question, Tiffany.
- 56:37Speaker 2: Do you have any question? Tiffany? How about you?
- 56:41Speaker 8: Would you guys ever consider doing a live taping so
- 56:44Speaker 8: that we could go and see you and yeah, after
- 56:48Speaker 8: obviously after all the COVID nineteen stuff, but well, you.
- 56:52Speaker 2: Know, you know, well go ahead, you're gonna say, yeah, Donald,
- 56:54Speaker 2: I will Donald.
- 56:55Speaker 4: Want to do that.
- 56:56Speaker 1: We just don't know when all of this is going
- 56:58Speaker 1: to go away, you know what I mean. I don't
- 57:01Speaker 1: know where you guys are. We're in Los Angeles right now,
- 57:04Speaker 1: and we have strict policies in Los Angeles, as we
- 57:08Speaker 1: should we you know, we have a lot of COVID
- 57:10Speaker 1: patients here, and so I don't know, well.
- 57:13Speaker 2: Even COVID aside, there's no plans to do anything like that.
- 57:16Speaker 2: And in fact, you know, Scrubs was shot like a film,
- 57:19Speaker 2: not in from an audience, although as you recall, we
- 57:21Speaker 2: did that that one sitcom spoof where we did it
- 57:24Speaker 2: in front of a live audience. That was Yeah, that
- 57:27Speaker 2: was Look he knows the title you are good. That
- 57:30Speaker 2: was a lot of fun, you know, because I never
- 57:32Speaker 2: Donald had done sitcoms before. I had never done a sitcom.
- 57:35Speaker 5: Uh and you no, I mean I've done I did
- 57:39Speaker 5: a pilot, and I did a guest star.
- 57:41Speaker 2: And I had done theater. But but there was it
- 57:43Speaker 2: was really fun doing that. That's do you guys remember that.
- 57:46Speaker 2: I just remember thinking like, oh, now I see the
- 57:50Speaker 2: allure of doing this to come. It's such a high,
- 57:52Speaker 2: Like the audience is so amped up, it's like cold,
- 57:55Speaker 2: and they've got a lot of sugar and uh, and
- 57:57Speaker 2: they just laugh at whatever you do and and and
- 58:01Speaker 2: we were Obviously it was a well written episode, so
- 58:03Speaker 2: it was genuinely funny. But I remember really thinking like, oh,
- 58:06Speaker 2: that could be fun to do.
- 58:07Speaker 5: Are you guys in the medical industry at all? I'm
- 58:10Speaker 5: just curious because you're such enormous fans.
- 58:13Speaker 7: No.
- 58:13Speaker 2: No, I was military for I was army for a
- 58:16Speaker 2: little bit.
- 58:17Speaker 8: But where do you guys live Northern California, Patterson, It's
- 58:20Speaker 8: right up.
- 58:21Speaker 2: The five on the other side of the Bay Area.
- 58:23Speaker 4: Oh, so you guys are in the Bay Area.
- 58:25Speaker 2: We could be over in like five and a half
- 58:26Speaker 2: hours if you guys can make us ginner.
- 58:29Speaker 4: Anytime, anytime with your cooking. What's your cooking tonight, tacos?
- 58:36Speaker 4: It's Wednesday, left over Wednesday over here as well?
- 58:40Speaker 2: Really, you guys, let's head up there. We're driving separate
- 58:43Speaker 2: cars and we'll sit in here in your backyard.
- 58:47Speaker 4: We will maintain safe distancing, I promise you.
- 58:50Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much for what a great surprise
- 58:53Speaker 2: and uh and our pleasure.
- 58:55Speaker 5: Show and happy anniversary anniversary, Tiffany, you are a good wife.
- 59:00Speaker 2: I gotta say it is a good surprise.
- 59:02Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm never gonna have to buy anything ever again.
- 59:04Speaker 8: I'm just gonna I'm just gonna, you know, take a
- 59:06Speaker 8: picture of that, and you know, just like that's it
- 59:08Speaker 8: every year, remember twenty twenty.
- 59:10Speaker 4: That's take the picture.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Now, let's take the picture and let me get let
- 59:12Speaker 1: me get fresh you, let me get it fresh for you, yes,
- 59:17Speaker 1: of course.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Okay, make sure you get you well too. And that's
- 59:21Speaker 2: how well always remember that. That's how will always remember them.
- 59:24Speaker 2: Oh my god, yeah, accidentally, airplane mode.
- 59:27Speaker 5: I should have heard him them.
- 59:28Speaker 4: He's like.
- 59:30Speaker 8: The screams, Oh my god, Wow, this, guys, you were
- 59:35Speaker 8: just totally awesome, and thank you for doing this. Where
- 59:38Speaker 8: we're watching watching the show, listening to the podcast. It's
- 59:41Speaker 8: just awesome right now.
- 59:43Speaker 2: Thank you. We're having so much fun doing and it
- 59:45Speaker 2: means a lot to us that that you're loving listening
- 59:47Speaker 2: and and please stay safe up there and enjoy taco Wednesday.
- 59:51Speaker 4: We'll be healthy.
- 59:53Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 59:53Speaker 3: Bye, guys, guys. Bye.
- 59:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you technically are supposed to hang up, but okay.
- 59:59Speaker 5: You don't have to. We can be together forever.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: I like it.
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: I like it.
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: Judy, let's do that.
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: You're rock in the curly hair.
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: No, no, but really hang up now because we got
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: a rest of ah, get.

- 1:00:21Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Welcome Josh.
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: That was great.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: Joel, Joel, I don't know how a caller can. I mean,
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: you really brought it.
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: How did you do that?
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: I don't know how anyone's ever going to compete with that?
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: I wanted to really quickly get some tips. If you
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: guys want to write in a letter, make sure your
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: subject line is just really expressive. That's going to pop out.
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: It's like, we have thousands and thousands of letters for
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: people wanting to call in, and so just you know whatever,
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: you can put your question in there, if you have
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: a good one, if you have a good story, we'll
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: probably wait till.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: We surprise someone.
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: So don't try to set that up just yet.
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: You know there's no other.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: Words top that, bitches, Well, listen, we should, we should
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: remind you well if you do, even though Joel says
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: she's getting thousands of them, If you do want to
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: ask a question, you go to write an email to
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: scrubs iHeart at gmail dot com. Find a way to
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: stand out, and and it'll all be up to Joel's eyeballs.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Who gets to come on.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Yeah, don't blame me if you call in, and if
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: you try to call in, or you'd send an email
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: and you don't get a response, it's not my fault.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: You blame Joel.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: You're not gonna believe this, But Donald's not the one
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: sifting through the thousands of emails.
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: Yeah, you blame Joel.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: You blame Joel. It's you gotta put some face in
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: your face, your voice.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: You're gonna fall for no banana in the tailpipe.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: You're not gonna fall for now the nana in the tailpipe.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: I ain't gonna fall mucha.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: No banana, no tailpipe.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: What the fuck?
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: Alright?
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: So I was gonna say something good. I was gonna
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: say something.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: Go ahead, notes, I'm so impressed.
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: I always have notes from I always have no tome good.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: I didn't know that you were always rocking notes. I
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: just thought you were making drinks. So they're in the closet.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: No, boy, go ahead, Doctor Kelse Turk.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: And this doctor Turk he calls him doctor Turk, now right,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: and not Turkleton. So does this mess up the lore
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: that Kelso doesn't know Turk's last name is Turkleton and
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: he's just calling him doctor Turk like he would call
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: uh doctor Dorrian doctor. He would therefore be calling doctor Dorian,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: doctor John. Or did they decide somewhere down the line,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: This is a good Bill Lawrence question. Did they decide
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: somewhere down the line that Kelso just forgot Turk's name altogether?
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Okay, Well ask Bill that here, Joelle, what was what
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: was the intention? I imagine that someone just missed it
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: and uh and decided it would be funny later on
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: if if Kelso had no idea what your name and
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: thought your name was Turk Turkleton, which is very funny.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: That's that's one of the funniest that's when That's another
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: thing that I really loved.
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: I've been.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Spewing about this, Judy because I really feel like our
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: relationship is the one.
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, they follow.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: JD and Elliott throughout the show, but our relationship from
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: the gate, from the beginning of the show to season
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: eight is is you know, you watch it grow, and
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: by season three, when we finally get into the wedding
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: and all of that stuff, I really felt like it
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: was earned. By the time we got there, you know
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: what I mean, Like we had been through so many
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: the characters had been through so many things, and so
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: you know, when I look back at all of this stuff,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: when I look back at me singing Missus Jones and
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: you know, me hiding in your in your closet at
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: your mom's house, and then when you finally decide to
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: move in, and you know, there's a breakup between Turk
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: and Carl and all of that stuff before they get married,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I feel like it's really earned. And I don't necessarily
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: remember how the episode of us getting married turns out,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: But I just remember it feeling so epic when we
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: were shooting it, you know what I mean, because all
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: of this stuff that we had been through and the
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: first few seasons were coming to a head at at
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: that point, and I just felt like our romance on
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: the show was just you know, I said it to Bill.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: I think I thought it was perfect.
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: You didn't.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: You didn't necessarily need to watch the show to understand
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: that Turk and Carla were the were they lung together?
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: Yeah, were strength and the foundation. Yeah, a part of that,
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: like in essence, kind of like the way the episode ends,
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: it's kind of like the reason you belong in this place,
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: and the way these people together like a family, it's
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: kind of like, you know, they're like that parental force,
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: the place that you belong, the reason that you feel
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: like you go there, you know what I mean, like
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: meant to be, you know, by the the fuck ups
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: and the breakups and the ups and the downs. They're
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: funny together. They understand each other. He's silly where she's
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: a little too serious, because you can't have them both
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: be silly at the same time, you know what I mean.
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: She's she's got.
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: Him.
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: Yeah, she grounds him, and she grounds like a lot
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: of other people, you know what I mean, where she
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: begs to be light when she's not. You know, she
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: has to like loosen up sometimes, you know what I mean,
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: where she teaches people about the place that they're in.
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: You know, where she where she has to be taken
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: out of there sometimes, kind of like cos has to
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: be taken out of there sometimes, you know what I mean.
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: So it's they they pull each other out of where
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: they are and they bring each other to where they
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: have to be.
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: Very yang, you know what I mean.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: I remember somebody asking me, you know, what do you
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: have in common with your wife? I was like, well,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I don't have that much in common with my wife,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: to be honest with you. We do love each other
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: passionately and stuff like that. That's the one thing we
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: do have in common. But we're not necessarily the same people.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: And I think that's very much the same with Chris,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Turk and Carla. I think that the two of them,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: they might be both from the Inner I don't even
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: know that Turk is from the Inner City. I know
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Carl is from the Inner City, but Turk. In this episode,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: we discovered that he was always the black dude in
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: the situation, you know what I mean, even in the
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Science Fair where they give him the blue ribbon even
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: though he didn't compete in the science Fair, and also
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: at college because they weren't a lot of black kids
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: at the college, they put him in the brochure twice.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: But anyway, my point is their personalities aren't necessarily the same,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: but they compliment each other so well.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that is like you and Casey. I mean, it's
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: funny you say that because you guys are so perfect together,
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: but yeah, Ying Yang is the perfect.
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: We're completely different.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: I think that's so different.
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: I think that's what worked about Carla and Turk. Carla
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: is so serious and Turk's such a fucking goofball, but
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: you put him together and you get like the perfect couple.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: I want to just touch on the scene with Johnny
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: c brates me at eighteen eighteen in the conference room.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: I thought Johnny's performance there was really really good and
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: it's a really powerful scene. It was an early moment
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: in Scrubs where he's just laying all out there. There's
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: no score that's sort of forcing your your emotions. It
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: was just like him just laying in to me. I
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: thought he was really good there.
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: I thought it was great in it, And you know,
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: I watched it twice, the episode, and I remember when
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: I first what I do remember about the episode and
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: having seen when I saw it initially, it was like
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: he's just so hard on him, you know. But I'm
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: a parent now and my husband, who's like coaches Soucker
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: is hard like that, and he's hard like that on
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: my daughter, and I get it, do you know what
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: I mean? I was like, shit, I get it.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: It's like a person who wants approval can be so
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: satisfied with being liked and everybody being okay with you know,
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: thinking that you're good or being approved by everyone around you,
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: instead of knowing that the job that they're doing is
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: a good job, or you knowing that what you did
- 1:08:22Speaker 5: was well done, instead of people liking you or liking
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: what you did, you know, And that's a really hard
- 1:08:28Speaker 5: place to be when you have to look at yourself,
- 1:08:31Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying, And watching it was like, shit,
- 1:08:33Speaker 5: that was so good, which Johnny C is Like, no
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: one's harder on Johnny C than Johnny Z.
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: Yeah, he really brought it. I mean, I just I thought,
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: you know, it's a pretty big speech he had, and
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: he just I don't know. I got goosebumps when I
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: was watching it.
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: But he's relentless like that.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: There's a funny moment in nineteen forty nine when Elliott
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: offers to give your friend valume. I'm like, a doctor's
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: allowed to do that? Like, your friend is upset because
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: her son got stabbed, and don't worry, We're going to
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: set you up with a volume in an IV drip.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: I was like, what that's a thing that I mean,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: it's if it's not, it should be because I would
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: need it if my kid got stabbed.
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: I'm gonna tell you that right now.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: I just didn't know. I didn't know if you're I
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: just didn't know if doctors are allowed to like just
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: start throwing around valume for people that are upset.
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: Well with the stuff that's out now, that's like nothing,
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: So I'll give you two xan X and an opiate.
- 1:09:22Speaker 5: Really fine.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: He's like, I'm worried. I'm worried about you. I'm gonna
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: set you up in a room with a valume and
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: a drip. I was like, really, go Elliott in.
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: An inner city hospital with people like pouring out the doors.
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: But you know you got took for you.
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: That's what's messed up.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: It's an inner city hospital that's so heavily that so
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: heavily relies on insurance.
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: It was twenty years ago, Fazon, I just saying.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: This ship is still prevalent. This is still real today though,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: I'm just keeping it one hundred.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: At nineteen fifty eight, it maybe the very first occurrence
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: of the sad Scrubs queue. That's the first time I
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: heard it.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: Okay, but those are your week excuse who don't know
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: this scrubs cue will go on for a really long
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: time until finally we started making fun of it so much.
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that JD starts commenting on the side SCA.
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: Right, and it gets taken out of the show because
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: of that.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: I think what happened was the season does it get
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: taken out?
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: I think the composer. The composer made it like a
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: handful of cues, and then these guys just use the
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: same cues over and over again. There's not that many,
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: you know, when we don't use music, there's not that
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: many scrubs cues it's like boun bow.
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: That was.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: That would be like a sting when something funny happened.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: To just go bound after something Robert said to get everything,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: Match said Benine, benine and a half.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: Down, that's the janitor, but nine but nine and a half. Donald,
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: I thought that was that's the episode where I have
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: to look at the janitors. I catch a look at
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: the janitor's penis and I and I noticed that there's
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: a mole on it and I and then I have
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: to inspect it and I go, it's benign and he
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: goes Benign be nine and a half.
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: I thought that was the time that said that this
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: whole time. That's hilarious. I like I said, I don't
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: remember this show I was on and I don't remember
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: much about it.
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: Well, that's the show, guys, that's the episode pretty much. Yeah, Judy,
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: will you will you come do this more? Because I
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: think we really like having you on. I hope I
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: can speak for my co host Donald thinks.
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: I would love it if you came back anytime you
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: want to, and we will make that happen.
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: And Judy, since you are one of my favorite guests
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: to ever be on our little podcast, and also because
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: you have a beautiful voice. I thought you could be
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: the first one to ever count us in to our
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: our theme song that ends the show. Donald prefers to
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: go five six seven eight. I I don't know how
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: you feel you can count in any way you.
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: So choose is five six seven eight? Okay?
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: Yeah, Donald, doing however you want to do it. It's
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: all right with this.
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: Is like five six seven eight.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: That's pretty good.
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: That'll work. That could work.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, but let's do it for real now. Okay,
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: here we go.
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: That was pretty good.
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: Okay, but I want to just yeah, Judy Rayes, we
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: love you. Thank you for coming on the podcast. Count
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: us into our theme song.
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: Five.
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: I'm six seven eight stories.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: I'm not sure we made about a bunch of thousand.
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: Nurses, he said, here's the stories. So yeada here, yeahda here.
- 1:12:52Speaker 7: No,
