- 0:58Thank you. Welcome back everybody.
- 1:01Episode 130, we are back. Josh Meow and myself, tonight's
- 1:09going to be a little bit of a hodgepodge.
- 1:10We're going to talk about, I know some of y'all saw some
- 1:13increases on your paychecks from this past Friday and wondering
- 1:17where the rest is, Back pay, all that good stuff.
- 1:20So we're going to cover that the best we can.
- 1:23There's an EMA increase coming up for those POV drivers.
- 1:28Yeah, Just going to be a little bit of a hodgepodge of what
- 1:31we're doing right now and what's going on.
- 1:33So how was your week Meow? Week was OK, it was a little
- 1:39different. My kid got sick at school so I I
- 1:42was ended up being off one day with him because if you puke at
- 1:47school you can't come in for a day.
- 1:50So that was fun. Not really.
- 1:52I went to a concert and then made the mistake of not taking
- 1:56the day after the concert off. So I delivered my route on three
- 2:01hours of sleep. So that was fun.
- 2:05But other than that it was pretty good.
- 2:07It was mail volume was about average yesterday.
- 2:11I had a full coverage of my DPS that was all upside down.
- 2:15So that was that was even funner.
- 2:17But other than that, I mean it was pretty good.
- 2:19How was your week, Josh? My week wasn't too bad other
- 2:25than waiter in the day. Wednesday starting to not feel
- 2:29so great and ended up with a head cold which was not fun.
- 2:35Friday morning, which was my K day because I've been rotating
- 2:39Friday Saturdays for this weekend.
- 2:42So I actually got my weekend off for once, but I was sick.
- 2:46So hey, I'll I'm not going to like my next check because it
- 2:50happened the two days of not of of extra pay, not there.
- 2:54But you know, it is what it is. Kristen, how was your week?
- 2:58Oh, my week was a little bit of here, a little bit of there.
- 3:02You know, I worked my K day yesterday because supervisor
- 3:06couldn't finish his schedule before she went on vacation and
- 3:09there was no coverage. So yeah, I said yeah, I'll go
- 3:12ahead and work that X day. Probably will get banked with
- 3:16the new guarantee period starting soon so but other than
- 3:21that it wasn't too bad. Thursday.
- 3:25Unfortunately I did have a funeral to attend and my my my
- 3:30aunt passed away and my mom's oldest sister so I was fortunate
- 3:34enough to go and represent that side of the family since
- 3:38unfortunately not everybody else could make it due to siblings
- 3:41that live across the country with appointments and mom had an
- 3:46appointment as well and everything else.
- 3:48So it was it was good to to see at least my 4 cousins and some
- 3:53of their kids and grandkids. And of course it's probably been
- 3:57a decade at least since I've seen them.
- 3:59But it's unfortunate it has to be those circumstances.
- 4:03But it was nice to spend a little bit of time with family I
- 4:06don't see very often. But other than that it wasn't
- 4:09too bad. I mean, male, male.
- 4:12I had a full coverage in my DPS as well.
- 4:15Yesterday, actually, I almost had two.
- 4:18I had one Mailer and then another one that was quite a
- 4:21bit. But other than that, you know, I
- 4:23love looking at walking in the office and going holy DPS on a
- 4:26Saturday, Batman, and then realize as I'm going through my
- 4:29DPS, that one tray 11 tray of it that was labeled to my route was
- 4:34actually belong to a completely different town.
- 4:36And I just laughed because I know the carrier that carries
- 4:39the route that that tray of DPS belong to, they were in RCA in
- 4:43our office when I first transferred in and then they
- 4:47left to go to another nearby office for a highway contract
- 4:50route and that DPS went to one of his towns on his highway
- 4:53contract route. So I'm like, Yep, not mine.
- 4:56Thanks. That was kind of a relief, but.
- 5:00Say Kristen, if you wanted you could use that X day for 3rd
- 5:03this past Thursday 'cause it's the same pay period.
- 5:06No, no. Was it?
- 5:09Nah, I'm not going to worry about that.
- 5:11We got it covered. So this is the middle of the pay
- 5:13period. So, well, I'm just saying you
- 5:16could. Yeah, but it's all good.
- 5:18We can save it. OK, I'll.
- 5:21Have something coming up after Christmas time I'm not worried
- 5:24about. It.
- 5:24Oh, I'm sure, I'm sure. All right.
- 5:29So to start off the normal stuff, relief day work list and
- 5:35Sunday volunteer lists went up or supposed to go up as of
- 5:39yesterday and they come down on the 26th and then effective
- 5:45October 4th, which is the beginning of the new guarantee
- 5:48period also becoming and what? Was that just I was going to say
- 5:56despite what my management thinks, the volunteer list is
- 6:00for R for RCAS if they want to volunteer or not volunteer to
- 6:06work Sunday and holidays or MPTFSI apologize for the Amazon
- 6:13Sundays and holidays. Yes.
- 6:15And my management seems to think it's for the regulars to sign up
- 6:20to volunteer. To work their relief day and
- 6:23being on that relief day work list allows you the option to
- 6:26choose whether you want to be paid a deck of three, which is a
- 6:31next day and a half, a day's pay, or a deck of five, which is
- 6:36the overtime. Well, it's there's three
- 6:39options. And then the deck of R which is
- 6:42just swapping out your relief day for a different day.
- 6:45Usually that one's used more for if you agree with your sub if
- 6:49they need it off, but it can be used in other instances as well.
- 6:52Right. I was going to say the main
- 6:54difference other than the half a day's pay is a DACA 3.
- 6:59Management can schedule that day, that X day.
- 7:03Yep, contractually. They are.
- 7:06Are you allowed to schedule that DACA R You get to choose.
- 7:09It is mutually agreed upon. Yep, and then if you have an
- 7:12office where your management lets you use your X days like
- 7:15normal, leave day is even better.
- 7:17But contractually, they don't have to do that.
- 7:20Right. And that's, you know, and that's
- 7:21the one thing people don't, don't, you know, don't
- 7:24understand. Most reasonable management will
- 7:28let you take the the X day when you want, but there's some out
- 7:33there that say Nope, schedule it and you're taking your X day on
- 7:38Wednesday. Yes, and as a reminder, anybody
- 7:42who has accumulated some X days leading up until October 4th, if
- 7:47they're not used by October 3rd, they will be frozen until after
- 7:53the Christmas overtime period and any X day earned between the
- 7:57beginning of the guarantee period and the end of Christmas
- 8:01overtime, which I haven't even looked up when that starts yet,
- 8:05that is the first Saturday of December, which is December. 6th
- 8:11through the 26th. Through the 26th 123.
- 8:15Yep. So the day after Christmas,
- 8:17which is nice, is also included in the Christmas overtime this
- 8:21year. So between October 4th and
- 8:24December 26th, if you earn a next day, it has to be used
- 8:29within the same pay period. If it cannot be used within the
- 8:33same pay period, it will be paid out as a deck of five regardless
- 8:37if you're on the relief day work list or not.
- 8:40Also, starting October 4th, there is an EMA increase of half
- 8:44a penny point $0.05. So EMA will go up to 97.5 cents
- 8:49for those POV drivers starting October 4th.
- 8:53And I believe it's at $39.00 for for a trip.
- 8:58Let me look. No, I think it's more than that,
- 9:00but let me look. I I believe that's what it is,
- 9:03$39.00 is the minimum. It will be, Yep, the minimum of
- 9:08$39.00 per day or 97.5 cents per mile, whichever is greater.
- 9:12Thank you, Josh. Yes, that was correct.
- 9:15EMA of 97.5 cents per mile or 1035 per hour, whichever is
- 9:20greater under the Article 9 Section 2 point G .5, which is
- 9:24employees providing auxiliary assistance or serving auxiliary
- 9:28routes under the provisions. So, so Yep, so that's there to
- 9:32look forward to. Also, some of you may have
- 9:35noticed a slight increase on your paycheck from this past
- 9:38Friday and go ahead one of you if you want to explain what that
- 9:42increase was. OK.
- 9:45As we just ratified and had our new tent of agreement contract
- 9:51signed, which went into effect May of 2024 through May of 87.
- 9:59During that time, from May of 2024, we had a COLA increase.
- 10:05In July or yeah August of 2024, we had the general wage increase
- 10:12of 1.3% per regulars or 2.3% per RC.
- 10:17As in November of 2024, we had a secondary COLA increase in
- 10:26February, which would have been should have been paid out in
- 10:29March of 2025. Those three were included in
- 10:35this paycheck that we just got Friday in this current pay
- 10:38period that we're in, which will get paid out next.
- 10:44Sorry. The 26th.
- 10:46On the 28th we'll have the Cola increase for the August of 2025
- 10:54increase. Yep, and the pay table charts
- 10:59that are now up on the union website that are effective
- 11:03September 6th include all of the increases.
- 11:09So you're looking at going wait my paycheck didn't match up with
- 11:13the new table? That's because it won't match
- 11:16until your next paycheck and then back pay is projected for
- 11:21February. Right.
- 11:23And then there is, I don't remember, I believe was it
- 11:26November? No, I forget the date in
- 11:29October. November.
- 11:31November. The for the for the. $0.55 No.
- 11:35The RCA, the. RCA $0.55 and the were dollar 55
- 11:39Yep in. The chat here, right?
- 11:42Now date on that any RCA on table 4 which is anyone hired
- 11:48after no November of P10. If you're in RCA you will be
- 11:56getting a 55 cent increase. Yep, the 55 cent hourly increase
- 12:01will come in those RCA and ARC paychecks on the 24th of
- 12:06October. And then if you are in go ahead
- 12:09RCA or an ARC for more than three years, you will get an
- 12:14additional dollar. So instead of $0.55, your check
- 12:17won't go up by $1.55. Again, but it will reflect on
- 12:20October 24th and that includes any future RC as when you hit
- 12:26that three-year mark. So this just isn't for RC as
- 12:31that have been around for three years now hit that additional
- 12:34dollar. So let's say you hit January 1st
- 12:38is your well not the first January 2nd is your higher date.
- 12:44You hit your three-year mark January 2nd.
- 12:47That pay period is when you will see an additional dollar
- 12:50increase. This is going forward for any
- 12:52RCA when they hit that three years they will receive an
- 12:56additional dollar step increase as they are calling it and then
- 13:00of. Course.
- 13:02Yeah, retroactive back pay provisions go ahead, I'm.
- 13:05Gonna say November 22nd I believe we will get the 2nd 1.3%
- 13:12increase. I thought it was 1.4.
- 13:14Which was the it's 1.41 point 4. You are correct.
- 13:19I apologize, I'm just so used to them always being finish.
- 13:23Our wall point. Four, hey, I'll be happy with
- 13:26that extra .01%, you know, and then any, any back pay they're
- 13:36estimating mid February. Yeah, they said they were.
- 13:39It is of right now they're saying will reflect on February
- 13:4227th, 2020 sixth paycheck. So in even if you're no longer
- 13:48with the post office, but you were anytime between the
- 13:54contract getting ratified, when it was ratified, whatnot, and
- 13:58after, you will get a back check, paycheck will come for
- 14:04you when they are issued even if you are no longer with the
- 14:06Postal Service. I laughed and picked on Ruby and
- 14:09told her she'll get her $5 check in February, but she rolled her
- 14:18eyes at me. But yeah, I mean, I, I noticed a
- 14:22little bit of the increase. I mean, it wasn't huge being
- 14:25Table 2, Step 2 it, but I did see a little bit in there.
- 14:30So I'll see you again for a little bit for the next one.
- 14:33And then I'm actually looking forward to the November increase
- 14:36because my step increase falls that same pay period.
- 14:41So yeah, I get a double raise in November.
- 14:46And is that with the 50 weeks? No, that will still be the 52
- 14:51because I don't see it being put in place before that yet.
- 14:54They had 180 days to get that going.
- 14:56OK, so I'm still within or Yeah, I'm still within 180 days.
- 15:03Yeah, my step increase is normally at the is like January
- 15:076th and so I'm excited to get my 50 week one this year so.
- 15:14Mine will be next. Year and Christmas.
- 15:18Yeah, mine will be next year, but hey, I'm all about a step
- 15:22increase and a 1.4% general wage increase come November in the
- 15:26same paycheck. That'll be nice.
- 15:28And then yeah, yeah. And then praying.
- 15:31Fingers crossed I regained that hour I lost in the spring mini
- 15:36mail survey. The September 27th.
- 15:39So day after the next payday is when the new 4241 A's and M's
- 15:46will be available. So you can see your evaluations
- 15:52from this fall mini mail survey. Now, if you are a route that has
- 15:55been cut less than 52 weeks prior to this mini mail survey,
- 16:00you will not get your 4241 AS or M's because you are frozen.
- 16:06I wanna correct you, instead of saying cut say adjusted because
- 16:10anyone that add gained territory also will have that.
- 16:13Excuse me, yes. So if your route was adjusted in
- 16:16any way, whether you were an overburdened route, getting a
- 16:21section cut off, if you are a route that was built back up, if
- 16:26even yeah. So.
- 16:28And if you swap territory because they were squaring
- 16:33routes up or whatnot, any way that you had your route adjusted
- 16:38with territory from another route or given territory to
- 16:42another route, you will not get your 4241 A&M's because you are
- 16:49frozen and they feel that you don't need to see them because
- 16:52the data won't be correct. Now I do know of some routes
- 16:57that will are just coming off of that 52 wig freeze and will be
- 17:02getting their first new evaluation since they were
- 17:05adjusted coming up. And I know my friend is very
- 17:08nervous about what's going to happen to their route.
- 17:12I'm sure. I know, and if you're one of the
- 17:14people too that were, were adjusted in any way, shape or
- 17:18form, make sure that you ask management for that interim
- 17:22worksheet of what they had done to that route.
- 17:25I know that there's still people out there who didn't see that
- 17:28and just ask them for it so you can see the components of your,
- 17:31of your route. The other thing is, is that the
- 17:35if, if you have growth, interim growth, you're still and you
- 17:40were a part of that freeze, you still are supposed to be able to
- 17:44naturally grow. And if you're not seeing that
- 17:48reflected, then you need to be calling your union steward and
- 17:51communicating it with management.
- 17:52So just a as kind of a disclaimer on that, I know
- 17:56there's some people who are very confused about not getting the
- 17:59evaluations like the others. I know last October there was
- 18:04routes that were adjusted in June of last year, and when they
- 18:09got the evaluations come October, the 48 KS jumped all
- 18:15the way back up to 48 KS. And then there was routes that
- 18:19were created and they became substandard even though they
- 18:23were full size routes. And then there was some other
- 18:25people who were given territory from the overburdened routes and
- 18:29their pay tanked. And so there's give and take,
- 18:33what I know with that MOU and the freezing and whatnot.
- 18:36And I know there's a lot of frustration around it, but just
- 18:39know that that's kind of the give and take and the reasoning
- 18:44behind that, from what my understanding is of it.
- 18:48So I wish that you could see your evaluation like Kristen
- 18:52said, but until you get 52 weeks of data, it's still not going to
- 18:57really show you your true, true evaluation, sadly, sadly, really
- 19:01sad. Right.
- 19:03And when she when Meow says that there were some people that went
- 19:07substandard, we're talking the age 43 KS came back at 22 hours
- 19:12a week, which is, you know, some of them even came back barely as
- 19:16an ox route because it was that close.
- 19:19They don't or to the mini serve Minnie Mouse survey and new
- 19:22evaluations that it only had maybe six weeks of data.
- 19:26You know, and I I kind of voiceless to one of our national
- 19:30board members at National Convention that absolutely hated
- 19:33that MOU. I mean, we do basically hated
- 19:36the fact that people had to pay back money and whatnot, which we
- 19:39all agree it sucked. It does suck.
- 19:41You know I but my thing is, is some of these routes that are
- 19:46moving into SND CS I feel that they should be frozen for at
- 19:51least one mini mail survey just for the fact that my friend
- 19:56which y'all know who she is, you know her route when they moved
- 20:01into her SNDC she went from a 45 to a 48.
- 20:07She got cut last summer down to a 45 because she has.
- 20:12A Tuesday K day and she was frozen at that 45 until she gets
- 20:18her new evaluation with this mini mail survey The thing is is
- 20:21that fall mini mail survey after she was cut she stayed a 45 so
- 20:28that tells me there's. Some that they didn't adjust
- 20:30like a lot and it's there's some where it's it, it stayed the
- 20:35same kind of. And then there's others where, I
- 20:38mean, without looking at all of them, it's it's, it's
- 20:41interesting. It is interesting because you
- 20:44know, oh, you go in, we added the extra mileage, boom, you're
- 20:47a 48, we cut you. Then we cut you to a 45, which
- 20:52you were already a 45 prior to moving into the office.
- 20:55And in that first mini mail survey in that office, you were
- 20:58cut and now you stayed a 45 because you're going off that 52
- 21:04weeks of data. So for me, that's telling me
- 21:08that I think those are routes that are going into SNDC's need
- 21:11to be frozen through 1 mini mail survey and then see where the
- 21:14evaluation is on the next one. Because her route, from the way
- 21:19I'm seeing it, with how the data is working at the 52 weeks, her
- 21:23route shouldn't have been cut, right?
- 21:25That she wasn't. Truly.
- 21:26Overburdened or whatnot. Yes, that.
- 21:28Yeah, exactly. Like my station next month is
- 21:32going into an SNDC. We'll be the first ones there
- 21:35probably. No, we have to move because the
- 21:39airport told us three years ago they want their land back.
- 21:42So we will be the only station in that SNDC until after New
- 21:48Year's at the earliest. And that's mostly because we
- 21:52have to be out of our building and it's really other than the
- 21:56walk distances, the only thing that only only other thing is
- 22:00going to change is for me, you know, for my zone.
- 22:02The three rules in my zone will get smiles approximately a of
- 22:08extra travel time to and from because of how close we are to
- 22:12the to that building anyway, some of these from the other
- 22:16zone are going to lose mileage because it's right there by
- 22:19where their routes are. So so you can see where I'm.
- 22:23Saying though where when you have offices moving into an
- 22:26SNDC, you see where I'm saying though that they should be
- 22:30frozen through at least one mini mail survey.
- 22:33Yes, I. Yeah, 'cause they're not,
- 22:35they're not proving like what's happening like with that cause
- 22:41some of the SND CS these people are now walking like super far.
- 22:45Other ones, they might have lost footage.
- 22:46You just never know what the situation is.
- 22:48But until the dust fully settles with that SNDCI mean yeah,
- 22:53freezing them for that, maybe they can create a different MOU
- 22:56for that. Yeah, I guess.
- 22:58I I need to? Write that down for my
- 22:59resolution list. Yeah.
- 23:04I'm. Thinking about that one and
- 23:05every time I go to do resolutions I forget about it
- 23:08because I don't write it down. At least waiting until after the
- 23:14first RE evaluation after moving in.
- 23:17Yeah, I. Would say I'm gonna throw
- 23:19another real confusion. Yeah I agree.
- 23:23Let me throw another kind of weird confusing wrench in into
- 23:26this too since we were talking about the back pay and stuff
- 23:29too. If you were adjusted or if,
- 23:34because I get asked this a lot, if you were an RCA or APTF or
- 23:39you were a sub during the duration of of since July of
- 23:452024 until what September 6 was the cut off for the back pay.
- 23:51You'll get back pay also at that at what you were during that
- 23:56time. And if you were adjusted, just
- 24:01keep in mind that like you're going to have back pay maybe at
- 24:04different rates to. So just keep track with your
- 24:08Form 50s. And if you're like me and you
- 24:11like to verify how much back pay you're going to probably get,
- 24:16just make sure you look at your Form 50 so that you calculate it
- 24:19correctly or rough, rough estimates.
- 24:21So but if you were a sub, you're going to be getting the back pay
- 24:24from what? From your sub time too?
- 24:27So yes and that's kind of why it takes a bit of time for them to
- 24:31calculate back pay for 130,000 plus carriers is because of how
- 24:37technical it is. I mean if you think about it,
- 24:40should it take so long? No, but when you look at all the
- 24:45the particulars to how we are paid and then you know, you have
- 24:51those that go career, you have those that leave you have, you
- 24:56know, the step increases that fall part in ways and and
- 25:00everything else it it there's so much many moving parts to our
- 25:05pay that that's why it takes as long as it does currently to get
- 25:09back pay sorted. What else you guys got on your
- 25:11mind? Exciting.
- 25:15I was just looking at this comment that was put in there.
- 25:18You get 8 seconds less per package when you scan multiple
- 25:22together and then they have. I'm assuming this is a
- 25:25documentation, I'm trying to click on it wrong one.
- 25:29Or while you're looking at while you're looking that up, I the
- 25:32only, the only thing I was going to add is that with that to go
- 25:36really back to the beginning there the Sunday sign up sheet.
- 25:40If you're a sub, you have to sign yes or no.
- 25:43No matter what. Even if you don't want to
- 25:45volunteer for Sunday, you still are required to hit yes, say yes
- 25:48or no so that they know every single sub got the opportunity
- 25:52to make their decision on it. So just a heads up on that.
- 25:56And even if you say no, they could still force you in as last
- 26:01resort. Just saying.
- 26:02Been there, done that. Yeah, they're supposed to use
- 26:05all the arcs first on a rotating basis, but typically there's not
- 26:09enough arcs. And then you use the volunteers
- 26:13on a rotating basis. And if there's not enough
- 26:15volunteers, then you're going to go to, you'll have the arcs
- 26:19working the non volunt, the volunteers, and then you're
- 26:22going to go to the non volunteers and they're supposed
- 26:25to be rotated alphabetically on a on a rotating basis.
- 26:30So you may work 3 Sundays in a row and have one off, but it
- 26:34just kind of depends on how many people and your office specific
- 26:39specificities and and whatnot. So I know, I know.
- 26:43I I never mind. Working Sunday.
- 26:45It was so recently like asking about what the volunteer list
- 26:49like why they work them all every week anyway.
- 26:52I'm like I know but it still has to get you know they still have
- 26:56to have the option. OK.
- 26:58It says standard S048F gather accountable mail slash large
- 27:03parcel fixed is also applied to each stop for delivery to the
- 27:09door. This allowance is .205 minutes
- 27:13or 12.3 seconds for the first parcel retrieved from the
- 27:19vehicle for delivery for each additional partial retrieved for
- 27:23delivery at the same location. S048V as in Victor gather
- 27:29accountable mail slash large parcel variable is credited at
- 27:350.01. I'm sorry 0.0812 minutes or 4.87
- 27:43seconds? The 1st is what they circled, or
- 27:46you know, what they highlighted when they said that.
- 27:50And I want to go back to the relief day work list for a
- 27:52moment. If you sign the relief day work
- 27:57list, you can request to be removed from it at any time.
- 28:02You just can't go back on it except for the two signups per
- 28:05year. And if you request to go off of
- 28:08it and the schedule is already made then and you are scheduled
- 28:12to work, you do have to work that scheduled relief day.
- 28:16I'm just saying that because I'm contemplating on whether I'm
- 28:18going to go on it or not. We starting next Saturday the
- 28:2220th, we have a shift around my former sub will be going regular
- 28:30after a year and a half. So congratulations to him and he
- 28:33will be going under the 48K route and the carrier that took
- 28:37over the 48K back in July will be moving to the 42 H route.
- 28:42So that's going to. Leave, huh?
- 28:44I'm going to say put your name on it.
- 28:47And like you say, you'd always come off.
- 28:49Give it through New Year's. Yeah, the Christmas, you know,
- 28:52the overture and then and then make the decision from there.
- 28:55Yeah, that's where I was going with that.
- 28:57Even if I decided to stay on it, I could still choose a deck of
- 29:00three if I wanted the X day. And of course, we all know after
- 29:04the beginning of the new vacation time at the beginning
- 29:08of January, I will definitely start banking the X days again
- 29:13to make up for all the other stuff I do.
- 29:15But I just look at it this way that we're going to be down to 3
- 29:21Subs, one's going to be to a five and one on the aux route,
- 29:25my sub, and then the other one that's newer in the office and
- 29:31that's going to be it. And my sub's going to be the one
- 29:33route hopping when necessary. So because the 48K route is
- 29:38going to, he is going to, he requested to keep the Monday K
- 29:42day instead of reverting back to Saturdays.
- 29:44So my sub will be working on that route on Mondays because
- 29:47that's his old primary and then covering and helping out as
- 29:52needed with everything else. So I like it out this way at
- 29:56least through Christmas time. I don't really need any extra
- 29:59time off if I know something's coming up or something like my
- 30:03I'm on baby watch guys. My daughter-in-law is due in
- 30:06four days. So you know when you know, he
- 30:10brings the wife and baby over to visit, you know if I need to
- 30:14have a day off or something in there.
- 30:16But I will have one annual day left to use, so it might make a
- 30:20long weekend. But yeah, we.
- 30:23So yeah, I'm contemplating the relief day work list this go
- 30:26around me two years as a regular and I have refused to go on it
- 30:30for various reasons. So think I might just go on it
- 30:33so I can bank up some money because I've got a second
- 30:37grandson coming here anytime and yeah, I need the money.
- 30:44Yeah, well, I just, you know, I put, I, I've been put my name on
- 30:49the list as a one of the more junior carriers because I want
- 30:53to, not that I necessarily want to work, but I want to choose
- 30:56how I get paid when I work. So sorry.
- 30:58Guys, I'm typing here real quick.
- 31:00I see that. But yeah, it it's more of a
- 31:05being able to choose how I get paid when I have to work rather
- 31:09than with, you know, being only given the option the next day
- 31:14and then scheduling it. But most of the time I've been
- 31:17using my ex or the Thursdays, so the.
- 31:20Oh, the other thing I wanted to say 'cause I also, I get asked
- 31:23this a lot too with the the relief day work list will be
- 31:28down before you'll know what these new evaluations are 'cause
- 31:32I think what it's supposed to come down on the 26th, right?
- 31:36Yes. And then we'll get the new
- 31:37evaluations on the 27th. Let's say that you're an H route
- 31:41and you think that you might go up or even if you even if you're
- 31:44not and you want to sign up on the relief day work list, you
- 31:48still can. You would just put your your
- 31:51name like if you're in a trout right now, you would just sign
- 31:53up on Saturday. And then, you know, let's say
- 31:56that you do jump up. You like they were saying you
- 32:00can just take your name off if you really want to at that point
- 32:04or like you don't. If you chose high option and
- 32:07then you decide you don't want high option, you want the low
- 32:10option, you end up getting the the J day or the OR AK day and
- 32:16then you're on the relief day work list.
- 32:18At least they can use it that way.
- 32:20So just keep that in mind if you were I in that relief day work
- 32:24list, because I know a lot of people went from H to J, so.
- 32:27Yeah, you can. Yeah.
- 32:28I was just going to say H can sign the list and you'll be
- 32:34like, well, what, why would I sign the list?
- 32:37I don't get a day out. Well, for example, we had it,
- 32:40you know, like me, I was saying either you get enough growth
- 32:44this last 52 weeks worth of data and it puts you up to AJ.
- 32:49Or in the one case we had a young lady was on an H route and
- 32:54bid to AK route and one and she wasn't on the relief day work
- 32:58list and it had just the new list had just went into effect
- 33:03when the routes went up forbid. So she didn't even think about
- 33:06putting her name on the list before that because she didn't
- 33:08get a day off and she had to wait a whole 6, you know,
- 33:11another six months. Or she could.
- 33:13She was only getting the. Yeah.
- 33:15So, yeah, keep that in mind. If you are on an H route and
- 33:19there's a bigger route coming up forbid and you're planning on
- 33:23bidding on it and you want to be on that relief day work list,
- 33:26put your name on there. You know H routes are not exempt
- 33:30from the relief day work list sign up.
- 33:31You are a full time route. You can sign it because you
- 33:34never know what's going to happen while you're on that
- 33:37route. You can go up and become AJ.
- 33:39You could bid off onto an onto AJ or AK.
- 33:42You, you don't know, you know it's.
- 33:45Your your office or zone could come up for the adjustment
- 33:50process and they build you back up.
- 33:53Mm hmm. Yep, there's, there's the
- 33:55different valuables in there. You got to remember as an H
- 33:58route, you know, go ahead. If you feel that you may change
- 34:01routes or go up or be readjusted.
- 34:04You can't have enough growth that you know, would put you up
- 34:08into having a relief day. Go ahead and sign it.
- 34:10Nothing. Nobody's going to stop you from
- 34:11signing it. Oh yeah.
- 34:12So for those that don't know, and I've already stated I'm on
- 34:15Baby watch and my daughter-in-law is due in four
- 34:18days and my son is back in Okinawa with his wife because
- 34:23that is very important. So yeah, waiting time.
- 34:27And it is another grand boy and I think his name is going to be
- 34:31pronounced Lua from what my son told me.
- 34:35Baby Lua. Yeah, I could be wrong, but
- 34:39that's what he told me. But I don't know, it's a
- 34:41Japanese name, so we'll I'll find out when.
- 34:44He gets here. Baby Lulu.
- 34:47Kind of baby Lua. Yeah, yeah, Kingston will have a
- 34:51cousin 13 months younger than him.
- 34:53That's pretty cool. And Little Kings thinks so.
- 34:56Now I'm going to go into sharing a little bit because I know
- 34:58everybody's probably wondering how the baby boy is doing.
- 35:01So Little Man turned a year old last month while I was at
- 35:05National Convention and we did have a birthday party for him on
- 35:09the 31st of August. And then he thinks he's Evel
- 35:14Knievel. He's got this little spider man
- 35:184 Wheeler. He can't push the button himself
- 35:20yet to make it move, which is probably a good thing because he
- 35:24likes to hold the handlebars and stand on the seat.
- 35:27And I have to remind him that he's not a paid stuntman yet and
- 35:31he needs to sit down on his butt.
- 35:33And then he looks up at me and smiles and laughs.
- 35:40And then my youngest daughter just started high school and
- 35:43unfortunately I've missed both home football games, so I
- 35:47haven't been able to make it over there to watch her in
- 35:49marching band. Ruby did go for the first one,
- 35:52thank goodness. There was another one Saturday
- 35:54and unfortunately I had to work and did not get done in time to
- 35:57make the drive over. So, but yeah, that's where I'm
- 36:01standing at on the home front. Anything else we want to cover
- 36:04or we'll? Go.
- 36:05He'll make it over there one. Second, yeah, I don't have
- 36:08anything. How about you?
- 36:10We. Can wrap up.
- 36:10I we can. I was going to say, I think
- 36:12yeah, we could. I I know you have a long night
- 36:15or short night ahead of you. Yeah, I, I keep forgetting.
- 36:23I, I keep signing myself up for lack of sleep.
- 36:27But tomorrow night, I'll sleep. I'll sleep on the airplane.
- 36:31Yeah. There you go.
- 36:32I, I know it's like our flight our our 12:30 AM flight to Rome.
- 36:36I'm going. I'm actually glad it's an
- 36:38overnight flight. Maybe I can actually sleep.
- 36:41But yeah, I get it because I, I know how hard it is to go to
- 36:46those concerts and then work the next day.
- 36:48I do it way too often. It's, you know, 2 1/2 hours away
- 36:54and I go and it's in the middle of the week.
- 36:56And then then I was like, Oh yeah, I got to work the next
- 36:59day. Yeah, I, I know that quite well.
- 37:01And the older I get, the harder it gets.
- 37:05Yes, yes it does. I I remember being able like.
- 37:10My, my brother and sister were both like, did you forget your
- 37:15age? And I was like, no, I didn't
- 37:17forget my age. I'm still young.
- 37:18We're all still young 'cause they're like, they're not even a
- 37:21year younger than me. So I was like, it's fine, I'll
- 37:24work tomorrow. It's all good.
- 37:26Yeah, but I still do. It my flight leaves at 5:00 AM
- 37:28tomorrow, so. Oh yeah, yeah, you do what you
- 37:32got to do exactly. Therapy man.
- 37:38The ride off got high for a while.
- 37:39It was still worth it. Oh yeah, I can't anymore.
- 37:44It was outside so my and I was sitting for part of it so my
- 37:48body doesn't hurt but I'm just tired still too.
- 37:51I'm debating if I want to go Friday to Falling In Reverse and
- 37:57Slaughtered to Prevail. I mean I've already seen him
- 37:59once this year but I really want to see him again and that's
- 38:03Friday. And then I still got to get
- 38:05mushroom head tickets for October 30th.
- 38:10I don't have any concerts lined up right now sadly, but I'm
- 38:14going to change that here probably this week.
- 38:16I. Usually buy most of my concerts
- 38:19like with my tax return and then I wait to see what the Oct and
- 38:24they're usually for about now and I am waiting.
- 38:27But it's time to, yeah. I'm waiting on incarceration
- 38:30dates to be announced for next year and tickets to go on sale
- 38:33so I can get my layaway down. And if anybody out there listens
- 38:38that wants to go and you're, I'm not paying for your tickets by
- 38:42any means, but if you want to get camping, we can all come in
- 38:45together and camp together. That would be cool as hell, but
- 38:49as of right now it's going to be me, Ruby and yes, we are taking
- 38:53little man and I think maybe. Less, yeah.
- 38:56Yeah, we are going to take little man with us and why not?
- 39:02And if it doesn't interfere with my daughter, if and if it
- 39:07doesn't interfere with Sophia's, my youngest daughter's, she has
- 39:11a parade for their local summer festival over there.
- 39:15And if it doesn't interfere with that, she said she would join us
- 39:20again this year. My little teenagers getting.
- 39:22She'll be 15 next month and she's getting a little
- 39:25rebellious and I love it. So I'm just waiting on dates to
- 39:30be released. So yeah.
- 39:32And that's. My name July thing, but all
- 39:35right guys, we're going to wrap it up otherwise we're going to
- 39:37ramble about personal stuff and everybody's going to be like
- 39:40that sucked. I don't want to hear about your.
- 39:42Personal career, OK, we're friends.
- 39:47Well, it's not like you didn't invite them.
- 39:49You invite them, but the. Hey, you know I'm all about it.
- 39:53All right, the next day's not. For that I know.
- 39:56All right, Josh, your final commentary for this evening.
- 40:00Just the weather's being the weather, so keep hydrating.
- 40:03Under luck Nick need be. Be safe out there.
- 40:07Don't go whelmed if you do, take a step back, take a deep breath
- 40:12and step back in. Have a good week all meow.
- 40:15Oh, well, one last thing about the relief day work list.
- 40:18I was going to say you don't have to sign up for it.
- 40:21You, it's your choice. I know somebody's like get extra
- 40:24credit for that kind of, but it's your decision whether or
- 40:28not you want to or not. You can come off at any time
- 40:31like we've kind of already touched on, but it's just
- 40:34another benefit that you got there.
- 40:36So whether you take it or not is up to you.
- 40:42Where I'm at actually, it's been raining and and we're having, I
- 40:46think false fall coming along, but I know that it's still hot
- 40:51like Josh was saying some places.
- 40:53So, but take care of yourselves, try and stay safe.
- 40:58Buckle up and we will talk to you.
- 41:01Later, Kristen, thank you guys. I was going to say something
- 41:06else and I totally forgot what I was going to say.
- 41:08Anyways, you. Were going to say pretty pretty
- 41:11man with a pretty pretty plan. No, no, I don't remember what it
- 41:16was. It was going back to something
- 41:18and I don't remember now, so if I remember it, Oh well.
- 41:22Oh I remember now. I for those that are wondering,
- 41:25I did turn off the private messaging feature on the
- 41:29Facebook page. I am one person and I until I
- 41:35have a set crew to answer messages and whatnot, those will
- 41:42be turned off. You can e-mail us.
- 41:44It may take me a day or two or whatever to get back to you, but
- 41:47I do try to get back to everybody.
- 41:49What I normally do, if it's a question, I don't know where I
- 41:51off the top of my head, I'll take a screenshot, post it to
- 41:54the other hosts and whatnot, people in the backgrounds, and
- 41:57then we all come to a conclusion and e-mail you back.
- 42:01So, so yes, private messages are turned off as of right now.
- 42:06They have been for a little bit and they will be until further
- 42:10notice. When they do come back open, I
- 42:12will make an announcement on here as well as on the Facebook
- 42:15page. And other than that, guys, have
- 42:19a safe week this week. Things are crazy out there.
- 42:23I'm not going to really get into all those talks.
- 42:25We've all seen the news and we all know what's going on.
- 42:28And yeah, so, but so everybody stay vigilant out there, stay
- 42:32safe and stay hydrated. That's that's a must year round.
- 42:39And we will be back next week.
