- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: Hey friend, Mike McCurrey here.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so very much for joining me once again for Bible Tract Echoes.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_01]: I greatly appreciate your listenership.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: We are in the Book of Mark chapter number eight.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: Find your place there if you would.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_01]: While you do that, let me tell you about a gospel tract.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: This one, I'm excited to tell you about this is a...
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: I guess a brand new redesign.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I've ever talked about this tract in its current form on our broadcast.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's called a tribute to mother and this wonderful gospel tract written by Dr. Paul Levine is an excellent gospel tract.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'd encourage each and every one of you to take a look at on our website, BibleTracksink.org, written by Paul Levine.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: It,
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: talks to and about mothers.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: In this gospel tract, it would be excellent for mother's day, of course, and I realize that's a good ways away, but maybe you just maybe you want to hang on to one of these, and my predecessor Mark Smith, he gave me a brilliant idea, for how to use these gospel tracks.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: What he does is he would carry some with him.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: And each is one, two, three, four, and not too many.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: He'd have many other gospel tracks on him just like many of you carry, as well as I. But when he was in, maybe a restaurant.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: If he saw a group of ladies come in, and whether they had children with them or not, if he maybe overheard their conversation, not even dropping, but just overheard them talk about a child or a grandchild.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: And he knew that at least a few of them were mothers.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: He'd, towards the end of his meal, he'd get up.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: He walked over to him and say, ladies, I have a lot of respect for mothers.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not one myself of course, but I've got a lot of respect for mothers and depending on the situation he'd launch into just a little bit of an opening and talk to them and just chat with them for a moment.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: But then he'd leave them with a little gift, this gospel track.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: a tribute to mothers.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: How could you turn that down?
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: This gospel track may be a great one for your church to give to give to every mother, along with a little gift, a little trinket, on Mother's Day, and maybe you want to actually plan ahead.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: Because I realize sometimes we get to be two weeks before Mother's Day and we think, oh no, I've got to do something.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: Should I get flowers?
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: Should I get a bookmark?
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: What should I do?
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: Well, start with this, and maybe this will be a good start for you, but maybe you want to carry some of these for me personally.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: This is going to go in my track,
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: And we just got them in with the brand new redesign.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: We had the older style we've had for some years.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: And we just got these brand new ones in.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I'd encourage it.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: Go to bibletracksing.org and get some today.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: In the book of Mark chapter number eight before we go any further.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I encourage it actually.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: Let me tell you about another gospel track for just a moment.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: Is that okay?
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: If we talk about two gospel tracks today?
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: I've got one that's a little bit time sensitive.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's called your decision 2024.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe you've heard of this gospel track before, but if not, I wanted to tell you about it right now.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: This gospel track is...
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: In time for it's pointed at the theme is the election here in America and the point of this gospel tract is to prove that who sits in the Oval Office is not as important as who sits on the throne of your life.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: Who your savior is.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's what this gospel track is all about.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: What I'd like to ask you to do is this go to Bible Tracks Inc.org.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's Bible Tracks Inc.org to order some of this title right now.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: We actually have a few different styles of it.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: We have a business card version.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk more about it tomorrow on the program.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: But before we get back to our Bible study, let me just encourage you Bibletracks Inc.org search for your decision 2024 and get some of this gospel track.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: If you would, grab your Bibles, go to the Book of Mark chapter, number 8, Mark chapter number 8, and verse number 10.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: In straight way, he entered into a ship with his disciples.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: This is right after the feeding of the 4th thousand.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: We spoke about yesterday and came into the parts of Dal Manutham.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: And the Pharisees came forth and began to question with him, seeking of him assigned from heaven, tempting him.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: And he sighed deeply in his spirit.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's almost an internal, a grown, just from a bottom of his soul and saith.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: Why does this generation seek after a sign?
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: Verily I say in you, there shall no sign be given unto this generation, and he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side, neither disciples had forgotten to take bread.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine that.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: Neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf, and he charged them saying, take heed.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: the wear of the 11 of the Pharisees, and of the 11 of Herod, and they reason among themselves saying it is because we have no bread.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: And when Jesus knew it, and He's sayeth unto them, why reason ye, because ye have no bread, perceive ye not yet, neither understand, have ye your heart yet hardened, having eyes, seeing not, and having ears, hear ye not, and do ye not remember when I break the five lows among the 5000?
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: How many baskets full of fragments took
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: They send him 12, and when the 7 among 4,000, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up, and they said 7, and he said of them, how is it that ye do not understand?
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: This is a little bit of a continuation of yesterday's broadcast, but kind of a standalone thing, who realized he's imploring them and giving them just a little bit of a
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: a lesson, beware of the 11 of the ferrisis and realize in scripture oftentimes, 11 is a picture of sin and how just a little bit of sin, a little 11, 11th, the whole lump, the Bible tells us and how just a little bit of 11 can cause the bread to rise and how just a little bit of sin can
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: can be an ill, can be an heartache, can be a stumbling block to the Christians life.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: And we could talk for days on that.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: But on a positive moment, notice that they got so wrapped up in their current need for bread, they missed a lesson given by God Almighty.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: Think about that.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus is trying to teach them a little lesson.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: And if if if Jesus is teaching, we should pay attention, right?
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: They were so wrapped up in the fact that they forgot to bring bread after they just had baskets full, think about this.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: They must have the Bible says, and straightaway he entered into a ship and came into parts of Dalman, so right after this, they get out of ship, the Pharisees came forth, began to question them, this appears to be all within one day, and he left them, and entering into the ship again, so the version with 13 leaves the Pharisees behind, they get back in the ship to the part of the other side, and they forgot to take bread.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder, if I'm as forgetful as these disciples, you see, not only did they forget what Jesus had done for them, but they actually forgot the actual blessing that he had blessed them with.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: Seven baskets full left over.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: I see myself, I don't know about you, but I see myself in these disciples sometimes.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: My wife found that she was with child.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: Our sunken, she's now Lucy Louise.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: Our little girl, four years old, soon to be five.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: But as Rebecca and my wife, the child grew within her,
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: She started having some physical difficulties.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: There's a point to the story I promised, talking about remembering.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: And for me, just an opportunity to rehearse the blessings.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: Because the thought today, I mentioned this yesterday, the thought today is this, there's no need to doubt him now.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: And I won't serenade you with the song.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's a good song.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: If you look it up sometime, no need to doubt him now.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: But I think about that.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: think about how my wife's legs began to stop working.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: There were hot and cold sensations tingling, loss of sensation.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: She had difficulty swinging her legs at a bed in the morning, and it got to be where she, her legs could collapse on her at times, and we didn't know what it was.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: All the doctors, all the folks that, when she went for checkups, oh, it's just related to the
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: but it didn't go away.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: Immediately after delivery, it got worse.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: And there we are, three days after having our singing child.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: Lucy, a three-day old in our arms, walking into the emergency room.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: My mother-in-law was in town.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: Thank God for mothers and law.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: All you folks that talk about about your mother-in-law's shame on you, I have a good mother-in-law.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: But in all seriousness, mother-in-law stayed at home with Amy.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: She was only what, a year and a half or so at the time.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: We walk into the emergency room, I walk, pushing my wife in a wheelchair,
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: The doctors and do check-ups and all those things run tests, and God gave us the exact right doctor, sent my wife for an MRI, came to find that my wife had a six or seven-inch tumor wrapped around her spine, right about chest level.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: We ended the year with a bang, 1148 pm, the doctor walked in on December 31st to my daughter Lucy was born on the 28th.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: 1148, I remember precise because I looked down on my phone, saw the time as the doctor walked in and he sat down, very grave expression on his face and delivered the news.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: You've got a tumor on your spine, and we'd recommend it be operated on immediately.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_01]: January 1st.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: God opened the door.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I remember the doctor's name.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: They call him Dr. O. His name was Onwuzeluki.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Onwuzeluki, phenomenal neurosurgeon.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't know it at the time.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: We found it later on.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: One of the best, really in the world who are in knowledge.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: And that neurosurgeon opened up my wife's back and removed a good portion of the tumor.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: And over the weeks and months, really the followed year, plus recovery, you, if you saw her in a church service today, you wouldn't know, my wife can now play volleyball again.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: Her legs work.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: She could have been paralyzed from the chest down to the waist down for a major for life.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: No guarantee that the nurse signals would have been able to come back.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's why she couldn't walk because that tomb was strangling her spine.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: That thought it was just the baby.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I call it a miracle.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: You say, oh, it's modern medicine.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, certainly, absolutely.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: But God can use a whole lot of different things to do miracles, can't he?
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I'd say there's no need to doubt him now.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what God has around the corner for us.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what's on the horizon for the Macquarie family.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: Whether it be good or ill in the world's eyes and man's eyes, but I'll tell you this.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: If I forget, if I forget the goodness of God, if I don't carry those things with me, I'm not saying they need to pack up all seven baskets and put them in the storage of the boat and carry them with them and load their pockets up.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: But sometimes I think we do need to load our pockets up with a goodness of a Lord, especially if we're walking to a dark and a difficult time, load your pockets up with the blessings of what he's giving you in the past and don't forget the miracle.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: There's no need to doubt him now.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: He'll make a way somehow, what to say safely this farer Jesus has brought me.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: There's no need to doubt him now.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'd encourage your friend.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: remember miracles.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: Don't doubt him.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: Tomorrow on a broadcast we're to continue on with verse number I believe 22 if I'm not mistaken please don't miss out and if you'd like some travel updates text the word travel to 309-316-7240 have a great day for his glory plan on talking to you soon.
