  yesterday is Tuesday night as I record this.

  I flew back from New York Pride yesterday on Monday and there

  has been some storms over on the east coast apparently, which I

  didn't know. No over the weekend because I
• 0:31
  was just partying away for New York Pride, which is a pretty
• 0:36
  good time but miss my connecting flight yesterday.
• 0:40
  Coming back, I'll serve the connect through Washington
• 0:43
  Dulles. There were storms and stuff.
• 0:45
  They had ground stops at the airport, to cause delays and
• 0:48
  backups, and all of that stuff. So I missed my flight and I was
• 0:52
  stuck in the airport for a few hours.
• 0:55
  I was flying United and I called them up twice and had to do it.

  This Bunch of stuff. I fly all the time.

  Actually. I probably go on a flight, a
• 1:08
  trip, like once a month. So this month in June, I think I
• 1:14
  dislike the fourth trip. I think that I went on.
• 1:19
  So I fly all the time and for me going to the airport is almost
• 1:23
  like a second LAX is almost like a second home to me.
• 1:26
  I'm always at Terminal 7, where United is, I know Know where
• 1:31
  everything is in Terminal 7 at LAX and I'm very familiar with
• 1:36
  the economy, parking as well. But yeah, once in a while you
• 1:41
  get delays and things like that. And yeah it's travel is not
• 1:47
  really air travels. Not really an enjoyable thing
• 1:51
  for a lot of people actually like flying though.
• 1:54
  I liked the experience of flying.
• 1:55
  I'm really into Transportation. I like cars.
• 2:00
  Like bicycles. I don't really ride a bicycle
• 2:03
  nowadays though. And I wasn't a kid, but I love
• 2:07
  airplanes. I read about airplanes and like,
• 2:10
  my spare time, like all the latest aircrafts and like,
• 2:13
  airline news and things like that, they're like some like
• 2:16
  Airline blocks and I are travel blogs that I follow and I read a
• 2:19
  lot of. So I like the act of flying.
• 2:23
  But yesterday was just a trying day in terms of just getting
• 2:29
  from A to B. B-but, speaking of New York
• 2:31
  Pride, I went to a couple of parties there.
• 2:34
  I went to Planet Pride party on Saturday and then went to
• 2:39
  Alegria on Sunday for those that are kind of familiar with these
• 2:44
  parties Alegria is actually a circuit party like a lineup
• 2:49
  circuit parties. That happens in New York on most
• 2:52
  special occasions long weekends. And then plan a pride is
• 2:57
  actually a really fun part that I A lot and I was at planner
• 3:02
  Pride last year for New York Pride as well.
• 3:04
  So it happens at this venue in Brooklyn called the Avid
• 3:09
  Gardener and they've got three completely separate rooms or
• 3:12
  stages at that venue in the main stage room called the Brooklyn
• 3:18
  Mirage, it's got this roof that opens up.
• 3:21
  So it's really, really cool that got these wrap around this real
• 3:25
  Super. Why wraparound display TV screen
• 3:29
  that goes around. Like the entire back and side of
• 3:32
  like the front stage and they had a Gareth Emery.
• 3:36
  There was one of the DJs spinning in that main stage and
• 3:40
  they also have some circuit. DJs and Louise who I love, I
• 3:44
  love it when she spins. She was at the kind of like the
• 3:46
  circuit stage and things that I find interesting about that
• 3:52
  party is it's actually not that expensive for what you're
• 3:55
  getting considered that it's the Saturday night party at New
• 3:59
  York. I think tickets were going for
• 4:01
  like, 150 to 200 dollars depending on.
• 4:04
  We got there early bird or like, what tear you got.
• 4:07
  But for $200 for a Saturday night party doing New York Pride
• 4:13
  weekend and you're getting like three separate stages and you're
• 4:18
  getting drag, queens are performing their Aquaria was
• 4:21
  there. I think she was spinning and
• 4:23
  then you got some pretty like top-tier circuit music, DJs I
• 4:29
  can't lose. He's was there and then you got
• 4:32
  like Gareth Emery for like an EDM and that they have some
• 4:36
  special surprise guest that showed up Adam Lambert,
• 4:41
  apparently was I wanted to surprise, guess I showed up.
• 4:43
  So for $200 to get all of that considering that it's like
• 4:49
  Saturday night, New York party. That's actually I like a really
• 4:52
  good deal. One circuit party that I have
• 4:57
  always thought is not a good deal.
• 4:59
  I Very hard, not to bat Moe any like parties that I go to.
• 5:06
  Because first of all, I'm not in the business of like being a
• 5:11
  critic on like gay parties or circuit parties like my friends
• 5:15
  and I we goes to parties that we enjoy and we don't go to the
• 5:18
  parties that we don't enjoy. But I once in a while, I'll have
• 5:22
  people to ask me. Oh, what are your some of your
• 5:24
  favorite gay parties or circuit parties have you been to?
• 5:28
  And sometimes it was asked me, what?
• 5:30
  Are some gay parties that are a good value or like, you know, if
• 5:35
  you could only go to like one or two parties out of the year,
• 5:39
  which ones would you go? Which would be like the best
• 5:41
  experience the best bang for your buck, right?
• 5:43
  So I think for like New York, try for $200 and a prize was
• 5:47
  like a really good value. I know the white party longer
• 5:52
  parties is very popular for gay guys, especially the circuit
• 5:57
  gays, but some of them are not Value, especially, I think white
• 6:02
  party in Palm Springs given like to production value forces, like
• 6:08
  the cost of the ticket, it's like not really the best value
• 6:14
  to kind of pick up an example. I mean, White Party Palm
• 6:18
  Springs. It's kind of like, one of the
• 6:20
  original like white party events.
• 6:23
  I think I haven't done the history or research on that, but
• 6:26
  it's been around for a long time.
• 6:27
  It's kind of sort of, like, quote unquote.
• 6:30
  The flagship white party events in the US Palm Springs, being a
• 6:36
  gay destination obviously, but I've been to White party in Palm
• 6:39
  Springs like three times now, and they used to have, and they
• 6:43
  still do have the Sunday afternoon tea dances like out in
• 6:48
  like it's outdoors is actually a parking lot and they
• 6:51
  historically have had some really big surprise pop stars
• 6:56
  that have performed on that Sunday outdoor T dads.

  I can't for the life of me, think of some of the names.

  Sorry, jet-lagged here. But, you know, to go to like the
• 7:08
  Saturday night, main party, for White Party Palm Springs.

  It's something like $150. So you're dancing in the
• 7:17
  convention center and the music is good but we compare that to
• 7:22
  like I spend $150 at New York Pride Saturday night and you
• 7:28
  know, like the plan of pie. Part.
• 7:30
  I just discussed and where you get three separate stages and
• 7:32
  you get acts like a man Amanda Lepore was also like at like,
• 7:38
  was also there, this Saturday, Gareth Emery and you getting
• 7:42
  also the circuit DJs and also drag queens.

  That's like you know, the value proposition is like clear to see
• 7:49
  but aside from partying I had a pretty good time in New York
• 7:55
  flight lays aside. I'm kind of glad To be back here

  in La though, the worst thing that happened to me wasn't the
• 8:06
  neighborhood where the hotel was, like, I mentioned in the
• 8:09
  last episode of the podcast where I was broadcasting out of
• 8:13
  my hotel in New York. But during the two parties that
• 8:17
  I went to, I lost things and I don't bring that much stuff with
• 8:23
  me to one of these parties, but it took about an hour to get
• 8:28
  from my hotel and queens. To this venue that was in
• 8:32
  Brooklyn. A via the subway and base it was
• 8:36
  like a longer commute. I decided to bring my earbuds
• 8:38
  with me and at this little bag that I put around my ankles.
• 8:44
  If you go on Amazon, you can get bags that strap to like your
• 8:48
  arms, it's designed to be strapped around your arms that
• 8:51
  holds like yourself owning and it's got like, you can two
• 8:55
  compartments, you can put your phone, one compartment, and you
• 8:57
  put like other things like your keys and like, apartment is
• 8:59
  designed, That if you're running or jogging you're out and about
• 9:03
  give somebody to put your phone and like your keys or whatever,
• 9:06
  right. But you don't want to like, just
• 9:07
  put them in your pocket and have it like chick around and I put
• 9:11
  that actually around my ankle. So that is, like, out of the
• 9:13
  way. I'm not like, hitting people
• 9:15
  with it, you know, it's not in the way, when I'm dancing.
• 9:19
  So, I put my ear buds into that bag around my ankle, and once in
• 9:26
  a great while, I don't zip the bag.
• 9:30
  Up 100% in my not completely sober State during a party and
• 9:37
  on Saturday. By the time I went to leave and
• 9:41
  I was going to put my earbuds on for the subway ride back home.
• 9:45
  I discovered that the earbuds were gone, these were kind of
• 9:49
  nice beats earbuds that are like, $200.
• 9:55
  So I have are pots as well. That I'm now using.

  I prefer the Beats ones because they fit me a lot more securely.
• 10:05
  Those are the ones I wear all the time now for earbuds.
• 10:09
  But I also have the air pods, which I like my backup, which I
• 10:13
  went to the gym today in LA and I'm wearing those so that's
• 10:15
  completely fine. But it was kind of like I just
• 10:20
  lost like a 200 dollar pair of earbuds, which kind of sucks and
• 10:25
  that was Saturday. And when I was coming home from
• 10:28
  the party won, The things I like to do and David like to do as
• 10:33
  well is to get McDonald's in the middle of the morning, coming
• 10:38
  back. Like after the party.
• 10:40
  I like on the way home and in New York in Manhattan where the
• 10:44
  train ran through that, I had to take to get back to the hotel.
• 10:48
  There are several Madonna's that claim to be 24 hours.
• 10:53
  I'm fast learning because we go to McDonald's so often after
• 10:57
  like a party on a weekend. Around 4:00 the McDonald's.
• 11:04
  They will close down temporarily while they clean or do like a
• 11:07
  changeover for like the next day or whatever it is, even if it
• 11:10
  claims to be 24 hours open. So Dave, and I here in La, I
• 11:17
  think we went to a party like earlier this month or last
• 11:19
  month. And now we're driving back and
• 11:23
  it was like around 4 a.m. and we were at the drive-through for
• 11:27
  McDonald's in the middle of Los Angeles.
• 11:30
  There's only a drive-through with open and it was like a
• 11:32
  really long wait and then that there are certain things that
• 11:35
  they didn't have on the menu so that was weird.
• 11:38
  And then this past Saturday, I literally went to three separate
• 11:45
  McDonald's in like Midtown Manhattan, on the way back from
• 11:50
  the party, I picked one that was like on the way just off of the
• 11:57
  subway, stop on the train. I was riding back.

  Back and that one was close. I walk to another one that was a
• 12:03
  block away and that one was close and then walk to another
• 12:06
  one. That's another block away and
• 12:07
  that was close. So I basically spent 30 minutes
• 12:11
  walking around at 4 a.m. in Midtown.

  Manhattan trying to find McDonald's that's supposed to be
• 12:17
  open but wasn't open. So I just nothing like
• 12:25
  McDonald's just hit different when it's 4 a.m. first is a we
• 12:29
  just get it in the middle of the day, it is so good.
• 12:33
  It's one of my guilty pleasures if you will but have food back
• 12:38
  at the hotel. So I just made do with that but
• 12:41
  the next day I was like, okay I'm going to leave the party in
• 12:45
  time to get there before 4:00 when they have this like weird
• 12:48
  change over. Close your thing and I'll get my
• 12:52
  McDonald's on Sunday. It was Alegria, which is circuit
• 12:56
  party. Same venue again in Brooklyn.
• 12:58
  And I was having a really good time on Sunday.

  Just a crowd was really good. The music was really good and I
• 13:03
  was dancing with my friends. I was having a really good time
• 13:05
  and actually set a couple of timers on my watch to go off so
• 13:10
  that I would leave in time to get to a McDonald's but I like
• 13:14
  3:30 but I was having such a good time.
• 13:18
  I just like ignore the The alarms that went off on my watch
• 13:22
  but there's only like 2 or 2:30. And I was like the party goes to
• 13:25
  like 4:30 or 5:00 and I certainly good time.
• 13:27
  So it's kept dancing and like 3:00 ish, 315 rolls around and
• 13:36
  now I'm starting to like sober up and I'm like, okay I really
• 13:39
  want to get McDonald's now but the only way I was able to make
• 13:42
  it to McDonald's by this time before 4:00 was if I took a car
• 13:48
  but it's the subway, would it take to Too long.
• 13:50
  It was like $50 to get a lift to go from the venue in Brooklyn to
• 13:57
  like Midtown Manhattan and then my plan was okay, take a car
• 14:00
  there to a McDonald's that's still open and then once I get
• 14:07
  the food, I can take the train the rest of the way back to the
• 14:10
  hotel and I can just heat it back up at the hotel and eat it.
• 14:14
  This is how much of a basic bitch I am.
• 14:17
  It was $50 to take that car. Eight in my in the particular
• 14:25
  unique state that I was in after a night of partying at 3:30 a.m.
• 14:32
  in Brooklyn standing there on the street, I call it be fifty
• 14:36
  dollar lift and I got into the car it was going on.
• 14:41
  Its merry way to a 24 hours, McDonald's in Midtown Manhattan
• 14:46
  and then I noticed that my Ring was gone.
• 14:52
  So I have a aura ring which is a health tracking sleep, tracking
• 14:56
  ring that are where and this is like another story which is
• 15:03
  important for understanding. Why I lost this ring.
• 15:06
  When I decided to get this ring you have to pick what size ring
• 15:12
  you want. Just like any other ring, right?
• 15:13
  You have to size it and you can get this like size and kit which
• 15:18
  is a bunch of like dummy place. Wings and all the different
• 15:20
  sizes. So you can kind of try out
• 15:22
  different sizes on different fingers to see what you like.
• 15:25
  So, now I know that if you had a ring on your left-hand ring
• 15:31
  finger, that usually means in Western cultures, at least that
• 15:35
  you are married, or you are engaged.
• 15:39
  I would like to think I'm a smarter person than I actually
• 15:44
  am, but when I was doing the sizing exercise with these
• 15:49
  Dummy, rings. I totally forgot about that fact
• 15:55
  that, you know, their symbolism tied to having a ring on your
• 15:59
  left ring finger. Even as I'm saying this, I'm
• 16:02
  like Joey, you're so stupid. But for me, I chose to get this
• 16:08
  or a ring for my left ring finger based on the following.

  So because I'm right handed. So I usually like grabbing
• 16:20
  things for my right hand and I Eight felt that having the ring
• 16:24
  on my right hand? It would like scratch the ring
• 16:26
  up or like it would keep clacking on things, which is
• 16:29
  kind of true. When I try to rotate the ring on
• 16:30
  my right hand, on my left hand, I didn't want to.
• 16:35
  It didn't feel good on my index finger or on my pinky, because
• 16:40
  if I have on my pinky, I would like frequently slam it or
• 16:43
  scratch it on like a table or like the laptop on.
• 16:45
  I'm working on it. It felt really weird on my
• 16:49
  middle finger and also it felt weird.
• 16:52
  On my index finger. So I ended up sizing this ring
• 16:56
  for my left hand ring finger. I still kind of can't believe to
• 17:05
  this day. How I didn't put it together
• 17:08
  that I shouldn't have be. I shouldn't have worn a ring on
• 17:14
  my left ring finger when I'm not engaged, or maybe.

  I don't even really sure you have a boyfriend.

  So, Call me stupid, i-i'm calling myself stupid, but I
• 17:26
  size the ring from at the left ring finger.

  Now, we're stupidity. I'm really not as smart as you

  might think I am or you probably don't think I'm smart anymore

  when I go to a place where they might be eligible, guys, like
• 17:44
  the gym that I go to like, six times a week, I would take the
• 17:48
  ring off of my ring finger and put it onto a different finger.

  Ge. Now the only other fingers where
• 17:57
  the ring will fit given a size are my pinkies because we are
• 18:02
  leaving. My right hand ring, finger is
• 18:05
  bigger bones in my left one, so it doesn't really fit on my
• 18:09
  right hand ring finger. Like it's like too tight.
• 18:13
  So the only other fingers I can really put on our my pinky
• 18:15
  fingers whereas like a little bit loose and it's usually not
• 18:19
  been a problem fast forward to this.
• 18:22
  This past Sunday, so because I'm going to a place with a ton of
• 18:26
  gay guys. I didn't want it to look like I
• 18:30
  was engaged or married or whatever.
• 18:33
  So I took it and I actually put it onto my right pinky finger,
• 18:37
  where the ring was like a little bit too big for it and in
• 18:41
  everyday life, that's not a problem, but At this party.
• 18:47
  And I was dancing with friends and some of my friends were like
• 18:52
  a little grabby with the hands, like taking my hands and things
• 18:55
  like that, at some point, during that party, the ring slipped
• 18:59
  off. So when I got into this fifty
• 19:02
  dollar, Lyft or Uber to go to McDonald's early, Monday morning
• 19:08
  at 3:30 a.m. that's when I realized.
• 19:10
  I no longer have to ring and these aura rings they're like
• 19:13
  two or three hundred dollars each and then less tax.
• 19:17
  So it just became a super expensive weekend for me in
• 19:21
  terms of loss items. I usually don't lose things at
• 19:25
  these parties. I don't usually have earbuds
• 19:26
  when I go to a party because like why would you usually it
• 19:29
  doesn't, if you take me an hour to get to the party.
• 19:31
  And that's why I had earbuds because the Subways really loud,
• 19:35
  that's why I wanted to like have moisturizing earbuds.
• 19:38
  And then the ring, I like wearing it because I'm checking
• 19:40
  my steps. I'm tracking like my calorie
• 19:42
  burn right at the party so that's how it became a really
• 19:45
  expensive. Weekend for me, I being jobless
• 19:52
  right now and I'm not having that much income coming in.
• 19:55
  I'm not replacing the items that I lost.
• 19:58
  I have are pots that I am using that and they're perfectly fine.

  They're like perfectly functional and then the ring is
• 20:06
  not really an essential to health tracking, sleep tracking
• 20:08
  ring. I do use it all the time,

  whenever I wake up, I'll check the app to see like all the
• 20:14
  metrics and numbers. It recorded of how well I sleep
• 20:17
  in. It will be Court throughout the
• 20:19
  day. How many calories?
• 20:20
  I've burned and how many steps I've taken.

  It does all that stuff, but that's not so essential.

  So when I have a pauper day job and I guess a regular income,
• 20:30
  then I will let myself consider getting maybe another ring.

  like it. I think is one of the better

  like kind of tech Gadget purchases I've made.

  And I Had it for I guess. I've had it for like a year and

  a half or two years now looking back on it.

  I'm actually surprised I didn't lose it earlier.

  I sometimes will take off the ring like but I'm doing certain
• 20:59
  things. I don't weight lift with their

  ring because you're lifting weights and you're gripping onto

  maybe like a heavier set of Weights, it might damage the
• 21:08
  ring. So whenever I go to the gym and
• 21:10
  I'm changing, I'll put the ring into my gym bag.

  Then I'll go like Like lift weights and do whatever.
• 21:17
  And then when I'm in the change room to like, change out of my
• 21:19
  clothes, that's where I put the ring back on once in a while.

  I like lose my ring around the house because like I've taken
• 21:26
  the ring off to put into my pocket because like, maybe I was
• 21:30
  like, doing something where I didn't want to damage the ring
• 21:32
  or like I've taken a shower. So I took it off but sometimes I
• 21:35
  don't wear it in the shower so things like that.

  But yeah, it wasn't expensive week and from that point of
• 21:42
  view, more try, All coming up for me.

  I'm in LA today and tomorrow morning.

  Wednesday morning, I am going to fly to Chicago.

  I've got like an 8:00, 8:30 a.m. flight out to Chicago, because

  tomorrow, I'm gonna meet up my friend Eric, and we're gonna go
• 22:04
  see the twice concert, which is says Kpop girl, group that I'm a
• 22:08
  huge fan of, and their concert is in Chicago tomorrow night.
• 22:13
  So that will be in about Less than 24 hours for me and then I
• 22:20
  fly right back, right after I did have a couple of friends
• 22:25
  that have said, they might be going to suck a toe in Michigan,
• 22:30
  which is like small little town, but they do like a good set of
• 22:34
  gay parties there for like long weekends, holiday weekends and
• 22:36
  things like that, July 4th weekend, is this coming weekend?
• 22:40
  And I mentioned to them, I was going to be in Chicago, for this
• 22:43
  concert and they're like, hey, we're thinking maybe going to
• 22:45
  sohcahtoa For for July 4th and I've been there for July 4th a
• 22:51
  few years ago. With some other friends, I was
• 22:53
  like a lot of fun. I've just been like with the
• 22:59
  earbuds and the ring being lost and like all the missing the
• 23:04
  connection, the flight connection yesterday and then my
• 23:07
  friend Eric that I'm meeting up with like, matching up my
• 23:11
  Chicago flights with when he submits Chicago.
• 23:15
  Yes. Yesterday was just such like a
• 23:18
  trying day for me air travel. Why's that I'm like, I kind of
• 23:24
  sort of want to like, just a break from travel for like a
• 23:26
  little bit. And I would just spend a whole
• 23:28
  week in New York. And I'm going to Chicago to like
• 23:31
  to see this concert, which I'm going to love the concert.
• 23:33
  I already know it before I even get there.
• 23:36
  But then if I want to like, stay to go to socket, ah, Michigan
• 23:41
  for the weekend, it's a two and a half hour drive from Chicago.
• 23:44
  Chicago is like The biggest like City that's closer to this town.
• 23:50
  So you would fly to Chicago O'Hare Airport Drive like two
• 23:53
  and a half hours in there. My friends, they live in Chicago
• 23:56
  so they can go from there. So I'm not sure if I'm gonna go.

  So I might just do the concert in Chicago and then fly right
• 24:05

  really went to socket all or if I just stay in a way for July

  So it doesn't the design challenge episodes on drag race.

  Usually I'm not super duper You're interested in them but I

  think for this week I do think Alexis has outfit was the most

  polished and I really actually did like that look.

  And I know last week I went on about you know how I'm not the
• 25:35
  biggest fan of Alexis Michelle but she kind of turned out this
• 25:39
  week so credit where credit is due and the bit of drama is Who
• 25:47
  she was going to pick to go home from the bottom.

  So for a moment, I thought she was going to pick candy to go
• 25:56
  home because, you know, Alexis and lalala had kind of the thing
• 26:02
  Lala save Alexis the week before and that Alexis kept saying, oh,
• 26:08
  like, you know, thank you for like, looking out for me and I'm
• 26:11
  not going to forget it, which is not the same as I'm not.

  Send you home as an act not Alliance, right?

  So in a way, I felt like I would I'd always wanted to see candy

  in like the top and in the finale.
