- 4:23Woo Hoo ladies and gentlemen, back-to-back, almost triple
- 4:29welcome back. Welcome back to the H train show
- 4:32you home for vets, truth bombs and the occasional spicy micro.
- 4:39I'm HH train and I'm sitting across from the snack wrap.
- 4:44The camo the one the only. M to the J baby.
- 4:51It's like PG what's that peanut butter Jelly time?
- 4:55But it's the PG time. Great.
- 4:57Raise some eyebrows today H 'cause we got an action-packed
- 5:01comedy. Yes, we do.
- 5:03Oh, I don't know so much if it's comedy, but you know, we've got
- 5:09some, we got some truth bombs you don't hate.
- 5:10Check this out before we get started with like the the Daily
- 5:14News and all that stuff. I just wanted everybody's to let
- 5:19everybody know if you haven't checked out Tracer podcast,
- 5:24there was a Tracer podcast show done on air Thursday, No,
- 5:30Tuesday night, Tuesday night. I've spoke with lots of people.
- 5:35Brianna, thank you for the question that you asked.
- 5:40You know, and you know it, it's, it's nice when I have supporters
- 5:44or friends that asked me questions so that I can get
- 5:49answers because, you know, nobody's going to act.
- 5:52Well, some people ask questions on Facebook, but nobody's really
- 5:57going to ask. And you don't know really you
- 5:59know what what it is you know, especially with today.
- 6:03What is that? Why?
- 6:04Why do they not they? Why are you so scared to write
- 6:07something or to ask something? How come?
- 6:09How come out there? I think, I think people are
- 6:12scared to because like people, there's some people that aren't
- 6:18argumentative, OK, And that they can't, they, they, they can't
- 6:22respond. They, they can tell you how they
- 6:25feel or write how they feel, but they can't respond to kind of
- 6:31defend what they're what, what they feel.
- 6:34You know, just because you feel it doesn't mean that you're
- 6:38right. It just means that that's how
- 6:42you feel, that that's your opinion.
- 6:44And I think that's the reason why people don't write, you
- 6:47know, 'cause I remember I'm not argumentative.
- 6:50And when I talked to somebody a long time ago, I told him I, you
- 6:55know, I just don't get it. I do 9 news and all this stuff
- 6:58and they troll me about my spelling, you know, and he
- 7:01didn't sit there and say, oh, well, you know, you Grammarly or
- 7:04something like that. You just said, you know, you
- 7:06never comment on those 9 news or Channel 39 news, never comment
- 7:11on those because people don't take that stuff seriously.
- 7:15Like some people, some people respond in the comments like
- 7:20sarcasm, making a joke about it, you know, because it's like,
- 7:24what do you want me to say about, you know, kind of thing?
- 7:27So I think that's the reason why a lot of people don't mark what?
- 7:30What do you think? I don't I I really think it's
- 7:36either one of the deeper feared emotions, guilt, ashamed,
- 7:42putting stuff out there, feeling unintelligent.
- 7:46And people in the past have, you know, it's an old belief system
- 7:50where they were like, that's a stupid question.
- 7:52But Nope, nothing's ever a stupid question anymore because
- 7:55there are so many teachings and so many learnings that are our
- 7:59human mind just can't handle it. It's like, so ask me once, ask
- 8:04me twice. Come on, baby, kiss me deadly,
- 8:06right? Name that singer.
- 8:11Oh, I don't know that singer, but you know, there's a lot of
- 8:14times I hear hear songs that I like, but I don't know who sings
- 8:18them. Come on, it's somebody out
- 8:21there, Name it. Kiss me once, Kiss me twice.
- 8:26Come on, baby, kiss me Deadly 'cause I think it's a Pat
- 8:30Benatar song. Is it Pat Benatar who sings
- 8:34that? Kiss me deadly?
- 8:36Come on, GPI. Don't know.
- 8:38I don't know the the only songs that I know are by lady.
- 8:42Gaga, Jerry said Linda Ford. There's Linda Ford.
- 8:46OK, there we go. She's in her head.
- 8:51She goes so you know, the the top three stories before we, you
- 9:00know, we're, you know, when we go on break, you know, we'll
- 9:03describe the what the but the top three stories today, you
- 9:07know, I want to let you take that one because you're doing an
- 9:11event right now with the strawberry moon.
- 9:15Tell us about it. Light up our sky.
- 9:18Wow, now you just flipped my script, baby boy, but I'm ready
- 9:22for you. I'm so ready for you because
- 9:24that strawberry moon, bam, I mean, it is something
- 9:28spectacular. If you didn't see it last night
- 9:31or the night before, get you'll get one more chance because it's
- 9:34always in three. So you have, you know, almost
- 9:37the full moon. The full moon was last this last
- 9:39night and now tomorrow you'll actually have another chance or
- 9:43tonight you'll have another chance to look up there and see
- 9:46how grand it is because it is mucho big and it won't be back
- 9:49for another like 18 years so or whatever.
- 9:53It's huge out there. But the full moon, the full
- 9:56moon, if you were paid attention to the energies of the new moon,
- 9:59which was your manifestation period of moving forward and I
- 10:03was like, you might get some roadblocks.
- 10:05Well, this is the this is the energy for those roadblocks.
- 10:07Clear them out of your way. You're about to see things more
- 10:09clearly in the path and the patterns and the parts of
- 10:12yourself that you can no longer carry forward.
- 10:16This full moon brings the courage to choose, used
- 10:18correctly, to walk away from what feels safe and small.
- 10:24You're being asked to trust what it is to feel.
- 10:27Have that leap of faith and go for it.
- 10:29Stop waiting for the perfect moment.
- 10:31It is. Every moment is the perfect
- 10:33moment because nobody is guaranteed tomorrow.
- 10:37Stop editing your truth to fit somebody else's narratives and
- 10:42then with the release and revelation that you're not here
- 10:45to repeat old stories. We don't want old stories or old
- 10:48blue powders. We flip them.
- 10:50So you're here to live for what is real, what is you, and what
- 10:53feels good. There it is.
- 10:58There it is. Whoop, there it is.
- 11:01But I did my work on New Delhi. Man, that's just so wrong
- 11:08telling ya. You know, talking about New
- 11:10Delhi, they had a. 115.34 Fahrenheit.
- 11:19Yeah, there was also a plane crash.
- 11:22Well, now we're talking about the heat wave.
- 11:24Man, What? Plane crash.
- 11:25Well, yeah, I am, I'm, I don't know.
- 11:28But you, you mentioned New Delhi.
- 11:29I was just letting you know that before we came on air, there was
- 11:35a a press release. It was reported by Hold on.
- 11:40Where is it? There we go breaking news
- 11:42passions. You're playing carrying 244
- 11:48crashes in in India. So that's the reason why I was
- 11:54bringing that up because like literally that just came on as
- 12:02we came on. So that's the only reason why
- 12:05I'm sharing that. But that's going.
- 12:07To be hot because 115, it doesn't even cool down, Julian.
- 12:11It's like 96 at night with only like 11.5 kilometers per hour
- 12:15and wind. That's some really traumatic
- 12:18heats. In fact, I want to just say this
- 12:21too, I want to put the warnings out there because we have Air
- 12:25Force Central over there. We also have our our air, our
- 12:29Air Force hospitals over there, our base hospitals over there.
- 12:33We have our embassy. So hopefully our beautiful
- 12:38embassy, who is Eric Garcetti has helped our troops and our
- 12:45bases there to remain calm and cool inside.
- 12:48You just saying did my homework. Yes, you did.
- 12:53You did. You did your homework.
- 12:56I was looking for, I guess. I guess we won't do that.
- 13:01We won't do the we won't do the intro for mail call.
- 13:08Is there somebody special in your life, MJ, that you would
- 13:12like to to give a shout out to? I mean, we got, I know the
- 13:16interview of the week, but do you, is there anybody else that
- 13:20you'd like to give a shout out to kind of spotlight maybe,
- 13:24maybe they've done something great in your life that you want
- 13:28to kind of like stand up at church and give praise to?
- 13:32You know I do, I have a she is actually a military wife.
- 13:38She is my one of my dearest, dearest friends.
- 13:41She is a cardiologist. In fact, I met her husband
- 13:44before I met her and we have held hands since Homestead Air
- 13:48Force Base since 19891990 somewhere in there.
- 13:53And no matter what trauma or aversion that I ever had to go
- 13:59through, she was always there. She always found a way to make
- 14:03sure that I was comfortable in my beds.
- 14:05I had my food, I had the toilet beside my bed for.
- 14:09But she then she would go to work and after work she would
- 14:11check up on me. And mine is she had a husband
- 14:13and a child. It that to me, let me tell you
- 14:17those friends, they last a lifetime and that her name is
- 14:21Renee Ursey. And I, I miss her.
- 14:24I miss her tremendously well. I'll tell you.
- 14:28Well, if I if I can get this right here.
- 14:32Well, I was trying to do the I was trying to do the clapping
- 14:36sound, you know, but I'll clap. Thank you for taking care of my
- 14:41friend MJ. Yeah, she, I really appreciate
- 14:44it. I'll tell you a quick story on
- 14:46this one. You'll love it.
- 14:47OK being being her medical self I had my stomach was opened up
- 14:53and they did a resection for about 3 feet of colon.
- 14:57Her birthday is May the 20th the surgery was May the 20th.
- 15:02A long time ago like 2004. And because of my central
- 15:09nervous system like I started getting the the strong
- 15:12parenthesis where the stabbing pains and the nerve pains
- 15:15started coming from my toes all the way up.
- 15:17So they put me in Ted hose. So she went to the house because
- 15:21Homestead the Baptist didn't have my Ted hose in the right
- 15:26size. She went to my house, picked
- 15:27them up. She went to put them on me and
- 15:29her hand slipped and she'll be going, she'll be like MJ,
- 15:32really. But she literally like, like
- 15:36went to push those hard Ted hoses on and she punched me
- 15:39right in the stomach, right in the surgery.
- 15:42My mom gasped. I don't remember it because I
- 15:44was so morphined out. It was the same day as the
- 15:46surgery. And they're like, push the
- 15:48button, MJ, push the. So here I am with the morphine
- 15:53buttons. Yeah.
- 15:54So that's my one and only story that every time we talk, we
- 15:57laugh now. And she's like, Oh my God,
- 15:59you're really going to tell that story?
- 16:02Yes, I am. I love it.
- 16:04I love it. We are at our time where we're
- 16:08going to go on our first break. That that's her all, you know,
- 16:13that's her. I mean so.
- 16:16There it is. There it is.
- 16:23Definitely. The wrong, definitely the wrong
- 16:26intro. Definitely need to work on my
- 16:29posture or my position. So we're just going to go to
- 16:32music break and you know, when we come back we're going to do
- 16:39our what the moment, OK. And you know, like we kind of
- 16:43discussed in the beginning what the moment sometimes just
- 16:47because you feel the way you feel doesn't mean that it's law,
- 16:54especially when you're wearing the uniform as a pawn.
- 17:02So more, more to come. When he got killed, he he was
- 17:08killed and the army disagrees with this, but his man told us
- 17:14that he was killed while they were looking for Bowe Bergdahl.
- 17:17He's the guy that deserted. We had a very close relationship
- 17:22and I miss it every day. There's just a constant barrage
- 17:30of of things that come up that I think I need to tell Darren that
- 17:33or Darren would do this or. He and his.
- 17:36Buddies, we would pick him up at 29 Palms and bring him home and
- 17:39I would hear the stories and how are the firefights, the stuff
- 17:43that they don't tell you on TV, the true stories.
- 17:47And I'd sit in the hallway with the pillow crying.
- 17:48So when he got back from Iraq the second time, the PTSD was
- 17:53pretty much out of control. And they fed him the, the, the
- 17:57typical hey, this, take this, take this in the morning, take
- 18:02this at night and multiplied it out.
- 18:05You know, if this wasn't working, if one wasn't working,
- 18:08well, he had two more couple months later, it's still not
- 18:11working. Add three more.
- 18:13One night he called me. He what?
- 18:14He was going to stay at base for the weekend.
- 18:18We had a conversation and probably within 8 hours he was
- 18:25dead. I am the mother of Corporal
- 18:28Benjamin Kopp, who was an Army Ranger that was killed in action
- 18:31in July of 2009, the day after he landed at Walter Reed.
- 18:36He was determined to be brain dead.
- 18:38However, the brain death qualified him, if you will, to
- 18:43become an organ donor. And so his all of his major
- 18:46organs, bone, skin and tissue were donated.
- 18:48And his heart is literally still beating today.
- 18:51And a woman from Chicago, you know, I believe it was Emerson
- 18:54the poet, who stated that the one thing about life that he's
- 18:58learned is that it goes on whether we wanted to or not.
- 23:08The station where our veterans voices are heard.
- 23:10MBR talk. Hey thanks for tuning.
- 23:16In welcome are those of the speakers and do not necessarily
- 23:20reflect the views or positions of any entities they represent.
- 23:25The web it NB radio dot welcome all right.
- 23:33We're back. That doesn't sound fake.
- 23:40I don't know what does. Thank.
- 23:41You. Thank you so much.
- 23:45We're going to talk about the Thunder tantrums in the UK and
- 23:48we're going to pass over that one.
- 23:50Well, you know, what we're going to do is we're going to, we're
- 23:55going to play our what the And you know, once again, like I
- 24:01have this, I have the same opinion, OK, but it kind of
- 24:06changed my opinion when somebody said that, you know, like they
- 24:09got out in 2020 and, you know, blah, blah, blah.
- 24:12But you know, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if you're
- 24:17tired or if if you're not retired.
- 24:21I don't. Well, I'll just play the clip.
- 24:24OK, man. Oh, for real?
- 24:26Thank you, bro. You see the cobra?
- 24:27And what is this 10? This.
- 24:30That's my credo. No regrets.
- 24:34You have no regrets, Dad? No.
- 24:36Like not even a single letter. No way.
- 24:39Not me. I love them.
- 24:41I think he's great. I think he's a real winner.
- 24:43Casey, if I were you, I wouldn't use protection.
- 24:47We are not pawns for Donald Trump's agenda.
- 24:49Why now? It's because the military was
- 24:51called a pawn. Innocent protesters.
- 24:54We in our oath to serve, we serve the people of the United
- 24:57States, the Constitution, these constitutional rights are being
- 25:00stripped and and just denied. And the military will not be
- 25:03pawns to that. So I'm calling upon the
- 25:04conscience of military members who served previously, and now
- 25:08we have a conscience with Lion, and we have a duty and moral
- 25:10obligation to say no and resist evil all.
- 25:12Right so this clip emerged from a page called breakthrough news
- 25:16that's on X and they said that breaking after Trump deploys
- 25:20U.S. Marines to LA this this military
- 25:23member joined an anti ice protest in Dallas declaring.
- 25:26Quote We won't be pawns and stripping away constitutional
- 25:29rights. End Quote.
- 25:30OK, so since only about 6 to 7% of the entire US population has
- 25:34ever served in the military in America, I think it's fair that
- 25:38I explain a little bit more about this because oftentimes
- 25:41most people are just not going to know.
- 25:42For those of you that don't know, you are never supposed to
- 25:45attend any type of event that could be considered political in
- 25:48nature, in uniform at all, whether it's in support of
- 25:52something or against something, regardless of who's the
- 25:55president, regardless of what the situation is.
- 25:57So when you see things like this, they're breaking.
- 26:00They're like violating orders. They're violating.
- 26:02Rules. So most people, most people
- 26:03don't know that in the civilian world because that's just not
- 26:06something that you're going to be Privy to.
- 26:07You're not. Kind of like care about that.
- 26:09It's not something you would even think to look.
- 26:11Up I would. Caution people to kind of not
- 26:14trust every single thing that you see on the Internet right at
- 26:16face value because this person could just be wearing a military
- 26:19uniform and not have ever served before and just using it as a
- 26:23like a prop piece to make it look like there's dissent among
- 26:27the military members for this thing.
- 26:29Now, that doesn't mean that's the.
- 26:30That's a fact. I mean, she could very well be
- 26:32in the military. My suspicions are that she's
- 26:35probably in the Reserves or the Guard because typically people
- 26:37in the. The reserves in the Guard are
- 26:39less informed on current policies, especially in regards
- 26:43to political activities and stuff like that, because they
- 26:45have full time civilian jobs and they don't really care about
- 26:48like the military stuff as much they're not is they're not as
- 26:51invested. That doesn't mean that they
- 26:52don't care. That just means they're not as
- 26:54invested and they're usually not as informed.
- 26:56Active duty service members are usually briefed.
- 26:59They have briefs that are required so often that they're
- 27:02probably not going to do this type of thing.
- 27:04That being said, you know, if she is active duty by by chance,
- 27:08and I'm guarantee her command is going to get there, she's going
- 27:11to they're going to get a notification.
- 27:13They're going to find out because they're going to be like
- 27:14who's this soldier with? And everyone's going to pass it
- 27:17down through the chain of command.
- 27:18Everyone's going to find out who she is.
- 27:19So and it's all over the Internet.
- 27:21So me sharing this isn't going to have any impact or it's
- 27:23already all over the place so. But I just wanted to remind you
- 27:27guys out there, you know who, whoever's out there that's
- 27:29that's active or reserve or maybe you're a civilian and you
- 27:33just don't know the policies that this is not, that you're
- 27:36not. Supposed to do this.
- 27:43And my issue is, and it's, it's not just like wearing a uniform.
- 27:49My issue is when I like go on social media and I'm scrolling
- 27:52and and like the very first thing as soon as they say I'm a
- 27:57veteran, the very first thing, as soon as they say that, I'm
- 28:01like, oh God, what is he going to say afterwards?
- 28:04Because I think too many times, and I mean, yeah, I guess I'm
- 28:11doing it right now, but too many times you wrap that veteran
- 28:15right in the intro to try to gain respect, to voice your
- 28:21opinion when you know, there's there's a lot more speculation
- 28:27than there are facts in today's society.
- 28:31So you might not be right. You know, you got to.
- 28:36Yeah, when you get on that soap dish.
- 28:38Yeah, we have freedom of speech, but we don't have freedom of
- 28:41consequences. And you know, I, I'm telling
- 28:46you, I, I get tired when I hear I'm a veteran.
- 28:51And, you know, this is blah, blah, blah, and this is blah,
- 28:53blah, blah. And like, OK, that's your
- 28:57opinion. It.
- 28:58That doesn't mean that, you know, that's how all military
- 29:03people feel. Yeah, I, I, I was shocked to see
- 29:09that clip. I've never seen it, but he's
- 29:12absolutely right. Your chain of command is your
- 29:15president. He gives an order.
- 29:16You don't have a choice. It is a, a direct order.
- 29:20It's a federal order. You signed up for that.
- 29:23If that's what she is, then I'm thinking, you know, he was
- 29:26saying razars or guards. And yeah, I don't want to say
- 29:29that they like what he did because I think that was
- 29:32subjected to judgement. But if he's going to do that,
- 29:36then he needs to put in ROTC as well because you would find more
- 29:42people with that type as a junior ROTC or people going in
- 29:47as an ROTC because they haven't really fully invested into the
- 29:50basics yet. And in basic training is where
- 29:53you actually learn the code of your armor, your coat of
- 29:57clothing, of where you're allowed to wear it, where you're
- 30:00not allowed to wear it, where you are allowed to speak up,
- 30:02where you're not allowed to speak up.
- 30:03And remember, our oath is God, country, and mankind.
- 30:07I mean, that's the code. That's the ethical code.
- 30:09So even though her choice of her judgement doesn't believe in it,
- 30:15then why are you wearing this uniform?
- 30:16It's for unifiable ballots. It is for the safety of others.
- 30:21So obviously you're not seeing what is going on out there or
- 30:24you're being paid to speak are being paid.
- 30:27But I believe it. So whoever knows that girl, it's
- 30:30going to they're going to figure it out because especially Greg
- 30:33Hegseth, he's not going to put up.
- 30:35If he sees that he's going to go after it.
- 30:38He is DoD and he is true red, white and blue.
- 30:42I think his blood bleeds red, white and Blue Man, because he's
- 30:46a truly a patriot and he will have none of that.
- 30:51So for this little young lady, I'm, I'm very, I'm very sad for
- 30:58her because that's going to be a tough lesson that she's going to
- 31:01have to learn and flip that pattern of being unifiable and
- 31:05understanding what the chain of command is.
- 31:07That's what we said the other and the other our other show the
- 31:10other night. People don't understand civilian
- 31:12don't understand military. The civilians have to look at
- 31:15politics. Our militaries don't look at
- 31:17politics. I'm sorry, but we don't we and
- 31:20you shouldn't. You shouldn't.
- 31:22Wow. It may not help you because
- 31:24whatever you're commanding in chief is, whether you voted for
- 31:27him or not, you're going to follow their rules.
- 31:29You don't like it, you get out, and then you don't wear the
- 31:32uniform to preach your justice. That's my take.
- 31:37And that's my take as well. You know, I, I just, I get, I
- 31:43get kind of tired of, of, of seeing it, you know, it, that's
- 31:50look, I, the, the story that I have is there's a, there's a
- 31:54charity event and I went to that charity event in my, in my
- 32:01dress, my dress Blues, which I felt were really awkward because
- 32:05never had dress Blues. So I'm out of the military and
- 32:08I'm buying these dress Blues and I'm feeling awkward because I'm
- 32:11like, I'm out of the military anymore.
- 32:13I, I shouldn't be buying this. The, the way they made it sound
- 32:16like in the charity is we're, we're, we're going to honor you.
- 32:20And I'm like, OK, because I don't think, and I'm, I'm sure
- 32:25that it's against regulation, but to me, I don't think when
- 32:31you wear the uniform, if you're being honored, that's a, that's
- 32:35a bad thing. But that's not what happened.
- 32:38And that's, that's what really drives me mad.
- 32:41I was invited to this charity event.
- 32:46They had me standing on the stage while people were clapping
- 32:51and they were like throwing money, like bidding, you know,
- 32:54And they were talking about our BIOS and stuff.
- 32:57And to me, like, that's not what I got dressed in my Blues for,
- 33:03you know? And I was really upset.
- 33:07I even told the person that was in charge of everything.
- 33:10I will never come to this event ever again because of that.
- 33:14And I told him how disrespectful that was.
- 33:16You know, so I have experience. I, I failed in that, you know,
- 33:23and I learned real quick reason why they have those rules in
- 33:29there to begin with. But like, if you're getting an
- 33:32award or, you know, and it has to do with military, you know,
- 33:36if, if you're getting like a Bronze star or a Silver Star and
- 33:39you've been out for, you know, 70 years, you know, I, I think
- 33:43it's OK for you to wear your uniform to accept that award.
- 33:46I think all of us would be OK with that.
- 33:49But for a charity event like that, that's not OK.
- 33:54But you know, that's not facts. Again, that's just my opinion,
- 33:58but that, that's how I look at it.
- 34:01And, you know, I, I, I might be out of my gourd in, in this
- 34:05situation, you know, I might be totally wrong, but that's,
- 34:10that's the way I look at it. I could be really wrong, but I
- 34:13know, like I said, I went in the mid 80s.
- 34:15So I mean, that was a code of our uniform, a code of arms or a
- 34:21coded uniform. And so yes, do I believe that
- 34:25evolution has changed things? Do I believe that modernization
- 34:30has changed some things? I said that about the
- 34:31constitution. Constitution was over 250 years
- 34:35ago. I think some things need to be
- 34:37updated with the technologies and where we are at in evolving.
- 34:41Same as that uniform. And you know, we always talk
- 34:44about you're a soldier and you know that uniform so well and
- 34:48it's the code of honor that you have.
- 34:50So you're not ever taking it off anyway.
- 34:52So whatever you want to go to, no matter how old you are or how
- 34:55much you've been out, you know, you know, inside that you always
- 34:59have that coat of armor. Even me, I, I, I've been out a
- 35:02while, a long time compared to the rest of you all.
- 35:05And I still get these coats of armor where I have to remember
- 35:12who I am and my purpose today instead of where I was and what
- 35:15I was doing then. So it's a, it's a struggle.
- 35:18It is. It is for a lot of veterans,
- 35:20it's a struggle because you want to emphasize how grand you wish
- 35:25you were, that you signed up and you gave your life, but yet you
- 35:29did your job. And it's not always about
- 35:31fighting. It's about balancing.
- 35:33And so when I hear people like her, I would really have to hug
- 35:38her and say, I'm so sorry you feel that way.
- 35:43I want to. I want to hug her.
- 35:45I do. And I just want to just try to
- 35:48explain to her that her egotisms, no matter what side
- 35:52she chooses, that's not the uniform.
- 35:54The uniform is a discipline. It's a uniform of following the
- 35:58rules and following the law, which is why your clothes had to
- 36:01be pressed, your corners had to be tight, your hair had to be
- 36:04up. It is a code of ethics that you
- 36:06follow and respect what they say.
- 36:09So nobody gets killed really. I'm OK with free protesting, you
- 36:16know, calm protesting. But what I don't get is when in
- 36:25history did like protesting really get us anywhere?
- 36:32And I'm asking this as a question so that I can kind of
- 36:35learn. You know, in World War One, with
- 36:38all the signs, in World War 2, the signs, Vietnam, the signs,
- 36:42people protesting war, love, peace.
- 36:46It was a it was a hippie radical movement in the 60s.
- 36:50Before that it was a love movement.
- 36:52I truly believe because of your heart and everybody dying and
- 36:56they would protest these wars. I mean, this isn't something
- 36:59new. The problem is, is that you have
- 37:02a lot of, I hate to say it, but we are a melting pot.
- 37:08But when our melting pot destroys our first world class,
- 37:12our first world nation, and you want to come to the country as a
- 37:15immigrant and you want to change it to a second and third world
- 37:19country because that's how you're used to living, that's a
- 37:22problem. Because I think all the
- 37:24immigrants, even my own family, they chose United States, they
- 37:28chose to abide by the United States Constitution and laws.
- 37:32Look at our first lady, same thing.
- 37:35So I think a lot of this outbreak is deteriorate.
- 37:37I don't even think it's, it's deep.
- 37:40It is deep seated. I blame it on Soros because I'll
- 37:43guarantee every single one of those, those immigrants carrying
- 37:46the Mexican flag and burning the Americans out there and doing it
- 37:50now in all these cities, you know, I, I think that our flag
- 37:55stands for justice and freedom. And that's, you're not going to
- 37:59take that away. And, and our military won't
- 38:01allow it. Our Department of Defense won't
- 38:03allow it either. If you are doing that, you need
- 38:06to be exiled from the United States of America.
- 38:08And that's my opinion. If you're going to have such
- 38:12radical movements as vandalize, What does protest have to do
- 38:16with vandalizing and destruction and and thiefing?
- 38:20I, I don't, I can't understand that.
- 38:23That's never protest in the 20's, the 30's, the 40's, the
- 38:2650's, the Sixties, 70s. I don't even know when that shit
- 38:30started. Maybe in the Obama when it, I, I
- 38:33wanted to say Obama because I didn't even see the negative
- 38:37protestings with Clinton or Reagan or Bushes.
- 38:40I didn't see that negative outburst of burning shit and I
- 38:44didn't see it then. So, and maybe I'm wrong because
- 38:48I didn't live in those cities, but I know Governor DeSantis.
- 38:51I, I mean, I spent more time in Florida in my lifetime than
- 38:54anywhere else. And they had one of the biggest
- 38:57sheriffs and he's a no hold bar down in Miami come up and he's
- 39:02like, I'm going to show you protest and he holds up a
- 39:05picture and he goes this and he shows vandalizing.
- 39:09He goes, I will arrest you. He goes, I don't even care.
- 39:13He goes if I even hear when he goes, I'll just put the cuffs
- 39:16on. He goes, we're not scared and we
- 39:18will not back down. And he made that.
- 39:20I mean, a big, big news on every single news station in Florida.
- 39:25Governor Desantos and this guy, the sheriff made it very clear.
- 39:30And that's what I really enjoyed about Florida.
- 39:31They are a no nonsense state. You're not going to pull this
- 39:35shit like you do in Denver and LA and New York and you're not
- 39:38going to do it. I don't care that Miami is a
- 39:41Democratic city. Ron DeSantis really puts his
- 39:46thumb down on him. Well, I tell you what, that's a
- 39:50great segue to talk about our drop the mic moment.
- 39:54So let's get to it. Let's.
- 39:56Do don't worry. Don't worry, I'm not going to do
- 40:03what you all think I'm going to do.
- 40:13All right, so that was a, that was a little repeat of last week
- 40:18because I, I didn't hit the button fast enough.
- 40:22It's a it's a fast guy. He has a tricky finger or a
- 40:26sticky finger. So.
- 40:30I didn't say stinky, I said sticky.
- 40:33Come on. So I'm going to read this.
- 40:39This is the From Anonymous reader.
- 40:45It's time to drop the mic. This one's personal, but we're
- 40:48going to keep names out of it because this isn't about a
- 40:52grudge. It's about principal.
- 40:54Recently, someone that I know. Hold on a second.
- 41:01There we go. Recently, somebody I know.
- 41:05Let's call them disabled. Notice a sign and what it looked
- 41:09like. Public parking lot.
- 41:12The sign said staff parking only.
- 41:14Violators will be towed. No ADA marking anywhere.
- 41:18No wheelchair accessible sign. There's nothing.
- 41:22No clarity or whether or not it was private or public.
- 41:26Just a warning slapped on the wall, daring people to challenge
- 41:29it. So they did the right thing,
- 41:32calmly, respectfully. They wrote a letter asking for
- 41:34clarity, asking for compliance, asking if the lot met illegal
- 41:39ADA standards. You know what they got back?
- 41:42A cold 11 line response. This is private property.
- 41:47Not going to discuss another person.
- 41:51Respect the sign. Let me tell you, respect is
- 41:56earned. It's not spray painted on on
- 42:00plywood. If you're going to post signs
- 42:03that limit who can park, you better be damn sure you're
- 42:07following Ava law. Amen.
- 42:09Because veterans and seniors and people with disabilities, they
- 42:13don't need another barrier just to get into the building.
- 42:18You know, things can be overlooked.
- 42:20Like big things, you know, like no elevators, you know, stairs,
- 42:26you know, ramps. You know, things can be
- 42:29overlooked because we know how much it costs to, you know, you
- 42:36know, do that stuff. But a sign, last time I checked
- 42:41those, those were about 13 bucks.
- 42:45That's all I'm saying. Yeah.
- 42:47Well, somebody speaks a legit concern and they write in, I
- 42:50don't care if it's private property or not, if they hold
- 42:53business out of a private property.
- 42:55And most of the states, I can't really speak.
- 42:58I don't know where this is, but I can tell you in Florida and
- 43:00Pennsylvania that there are ADA laws.
- 43:03So if you are anywhere with strict ADA laws and you have a
- 43:11business, whether it's a privately owned property or not,
- 43:15you must obeyed by the ADA laws. You must have bathrooms, ADA,
- 43:20you must have stairwells, ADA, you must have a set up for ADA.
- 43:25So I would look into if you're helping this person, I would, I
- 43:30would tell you, Joe, look into the ADA laws out there in
- 43:33Colorado or whoever this is wherever they're from.
- 43:37Look up your ADA laws that govern businesses held in
- 43:42private properties because I. So I've, I've done that in the
- 43:46past and this is and, and things could have changed, OK.
- 43:51But back in the past I had an, I, I personally had an incident
- 43:57and like, it was almost like ADA.
- 44:01It's like Facebook, like nobody works there.
- 44:04It's like this common law in a book, but there's nobody there
- 44:09to enforce it unless they're you're talking like big, big
- 44:13money. And then like they hear that cha
- 44:16ching sound and they'll come to you.
- 44:18But for just a 'cause we see it all the time.
- 44:22We see veterans, we see civilians go into a store or
- 44:28they go into a business and they bring their service dog.
- 44:33And most of the time, you know, people leave them alone.
- 44:36The only time that they question it is if the dog urinates or
- 44:43pragmatizes the floor. You like, yeah, like how I, I
- 44:47made that clean. OK.
- 44:49And then the second thing is if he sniffs around, if he sniffs
- 44:54around, service dogs aren't supposed to sniff around.
- 44:58And service dogs are totally different.
- 45:00Once you put that Cape on them. If they're a legitimate service
- 45:03dog, they're just totally different.
- 45:05They're a lot calmer. They're like, OK, it's time to
- 45:07work now. I get questioned a lot for my
- 45:13little dog being a service dog. She is a registered service dog.
- 45:17She's been servicing for almost She'll be 14 years old and she
- 45:21has serviced hospitals, she has serviced PTSD vets.
- 45:25She has serviced a lot of my customers.
- 45:27And I can still walk in with my dog because I can't leave her in
- 45:30a car to go to eat. So I'll walk in.
- 45:33They'll say dogs are not allowed to go.
- 45:35She has her vest on, she has her tags.
- 45:38I have her little ID card. I go, you're going to tell me
- 45:42now again. And she goes, well, they're not
- 45:44allowed in the seat. You got to put them on the
- 45:45floor. She all have 5 lbs biatch.
- 45:50She's a 5 LB service dog because, you know, with the
- 45:54kids, I can put her on the bed with big dogs with my labs and
- 46:00stuff like that, that I had, I couldn't allow the kids to hug
- 46:03and, and get on the bed and, you know, they were too big, they
- 46:06would hurt them. And so being a smaller dog, she
- 46:10was capable of being held and loved and licked.
- 46:13And, you know, so it brought more of the emotional support
- 46:19for service than anything else because they could actually hold
- 46:22it and love it and, and just hold on to it while they're
- 46:25talking. Yeah, I don't mean to call my,
- 46:29my beautiful dog in it, but she's, she's an older 1.
- 46:35So and everyone goes, are you going to, are you going to, you
- 46:38know, service another one? Because she really was a good
- 46:41service dog. I go, you know, service dogs are
- 46:43one in a million man. You can get a dog and you can
- 46:46try to train as much as you can and for service.
- 46:49And there's some of them who will just like right now at 13,
- 46:54she's trying not to bark. And if she barks, it has to be
- 46:56because of fear or it has to be a warning that I am in danger.
- 47:02And that's the only time they're allowed to bark.
- 47:04And then she's 13 and she'll see a deer around and she's barking.
- 47:08I'm like, aloud. I don't understand where this is
- 47:11coming from. You're not supposed to be
- 47:14barking. So then I start laughing, going,
- 47:16you know, when people get older after 70, I go, I always say
- 47:19this thing. There's no filter on it.
- 47:21They just talk. So I think in the service dogs
- 47:25they think you and they get to a ripe age.
- 47:27I don't think they really use service dogs when they get up
- 47:30there because they just, they go back like a an elderly person
- 47:35and they just do what they want. They're going to bark like right
- 47:38now I could say come and she'll look at me and she'll debate
- 47:40whether she's coming. Now, I don't know if she can't
- 47:42hear, but I was like, hey, what happened to all our skills for
- 47:48how many years on end? Yeah, I love service dogs.
- 47:53Oh, I did too, you know, and like I, there's, there's some,
- 47:59there's something called facility service dogs.
- 48:01A lot of people don't know about that.
- 48:03And what a facility service dog is, is basically it's a service
- 48:06dog that's not assigned to somebody and they're giving it
- 48:12to like a like a sponsor or a ambassador or, you know, just
- 48:21just somebody that's a head, like a non profit or whatever.
- 48:25Because it's a tool that that they can help veterans,
- 48:28especially like visiting hospitals, stuff like that.
- 48:32And, you know, Nico Margolongo from Challenge Athletes
- 48:39Foundation have a service dog tally and that beautiful dog was
- 48:46amazing. It was amazing to the point
- 48:49where, you know, I remember telling Nico, when I, when I get
- 48:54my service dog, I'm going to make sure that my service dog is
- 48:59just like yours, you know, listens to everything and, and
- 49:03trains them. And just, I mean, it was so bad.
- 49:07You, you know, that, that what is it?
- 49:09Cow bomb or lamb bomb or something like that.
- 49:13Man, I, I was rubbing its, its pads like every week with that
- 49:18bone, you know, to, to help them with their pads.
- 49:20I mean, I, I really, I, I really took good care of him and you
- 49:26know, Barrett, I mean, I thought he was going to be on the
- 49:30Hospice and man, he's, he's really, he's really showed us
- 49:36its healing and stuff. You know, just one day we came
- 49:39home and like the big old scab that made him look like
- 49:43Quasimodo, it just, it just fell off.
- 49:47We have no idea how we look. See if he cuts or anything.
- 49:51Nope. Just came off.
- 49:53And now his hair and everything is starting to grow back.
- 49:57So I I think we might have it for a while.
- 50:01Yeah. I love that, you know, because,
- 50:06you know, for the longest time I thought I didn't need to have a
- 50:09service dog. Yeah, a long time.
- 50:12And then I got a service dog and it's like getting ACD player or
- 50:17a VCR. Like you don't think you need it
- 50:21until you get it and you use it and you're like, you know what?
- 50:25This is this this, this actually helps, you know, sometimes you
- 50:30just got to try it, you know, you might like it kind of thing.
- 50:36Yeah. But it is that time.
- 50:43So if the call of action for that story basically because we
- 50:48gave you our, we, we gave you our our.
- 50:54Opinion. Opinion all right?
- 50:56If you see something like this, a sign that blocks access,
- 51:00limits mobility, or just doesn't feel right, don't let it slide.
- 51:06Here's what you can do without poking the bear blind.
- 51:09You know, documents, snap clear photos of it.
- 51:12You know, check with your local property records or city zoning
- 51:17offices and stuff, 'cause you know, you, you look, if you poke
- 51:22the bear, you're going to have to come up with Plan B.
- 51:26And every time you get, and it doesn't have to be a business,
- 51:30it could be a relationship, every time you poke the bear,
- 51:34you got to be ready for that Plan B, that response, because
- 51:3890 times out of 10 is not going to be the response that you
- 51:40want. I think everybody, if you open
- 51:44up your mouth, you better make sure it's well balanced for
- 51:46everybody these days with heart and love as much as you can.
- 51:52File a quiet complaint. You know you can do that,
- 51:55suggest a fix. You know not you can do that.
- 51:59Use your platform for awareness, you know, not war.
- 52:02And final thoughts for dropping the mic.
- 52:05Like I said, you know poking the bear.
- 52:07Sometimes it's necessary, but only if you know how to walk the
- 52:13woods afterwards. Be smart, be strictivity, and
- 52:18always, always fight the right fight right away.
- 52:24Pick your battles, people. Conversations bring in
- 52:29conversations, bring in emails. Use the right words and tones.
- 52:33Don't be aggressive. Aggressive is going to be a flat
- 52:37no when you force an issue. So I always tell the people I
- 52:43work with something like this, do yourself a favor, find the
- 52:47most beautiful words or have somebody write it with beautiful
- 52:50loving words and have an understanding of why you're
- 52:54trying to make the awareness. And for a conscious positive
- 52:58words, get help if you need them.
- 53:01Because if you try to go after them with the big guns, yeah,
- 53:06it's not going to work. It's going to be a force against
- 53:09another energetic force and it's just going to blow up in your in
- 53:12your face. Yeah, agree.
- 53:15Agree. Well, with that being said,
- 53:17there we go. I really need to change that.
- 53:23Yeah, I do. OK.
- 53:24So with that being said, we're going to go on a music break.
- 53:27And this time when we come back, this is the prime.
- 53:31This is where everybody's tuning in.
- 53:32This is the meat and potatoes and the whole show.
- 53:35Ladies and gentlemen, we're going to have Ozzy.
- 53:42I'm trying to remember the last name.
- 53:44Gonzalez. Gonzalez, Ozzy.
- 53:50Ozzy Gonzalez. Not easy.
- 53:52He's coming on to tell us how it is to be a supporter, how it is
- 53:57to be a family member while somebody is going through an
- 54:00appointment or just flat out just, you know, going
- 54:05handicapped. So whatever you do, stay with
- 54:06us. Don't go away.
- 54:07You're listening to the ace tricks.
- 54:09You're right here on the station.
- 54:10That's letting our voices be heard.
- 54:12You're listening to MBR. The station where our veterans
- 59:27voices are heard MBR talk. Hey, thanks.
- 59:32For tuning. In welcome are those of the
- 59:35speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions
- 59:40of any entities. They represent the web at MB
- 59:44radio dot. All right, MJ dropped off.
- 59:56I think she dropped off because our interview of the week is
- 1:00:01getting ready and stuff. So while we're waiting, let me
- 1:00:06go over here and tell you exactly what's going on for
- 1:00:11today when it comes to. The end of news, we've got VA
- 1:00:17updates as well. I'm, I'm looking up that screen
- 1:00:22just to make sure that nothing has changed.
- 1:00:26And there we go. All right, so the VA updates,
- 1:00:31just so everybody knows, is that it's a 2.5% COLA increase.
- 1:00:38Starting December 1st, 2024, VA disability compensation rates
- 1:00:44saw a 2.5% cost of living raise and also layoffs and HR paid
- 1:00:54developments. The VA has contracted with OPM
- 1:01:00for support with upcoming mass layoffs and is eliminating A
- 1:01:06Biden error of 15%. Special salary rate for around
- 1:01:1110,000 HR staffers. The FY20 25 budget exceeds 400
- 1:01:24billion. Budget soared past 400 billion
- 1:01:28driven by increased spending, mandated benefits and medical
- 1:01:33care for toxic exposure for to veterans.
- 1:01:39Also benefit improvement legislation.
- 1:01:42Congress held a hearing on a dozen bills on streamline VA
- 1:01:48benefits, housing aid, job training, tuition, adaptive home
- 1:01:52support and improve the transition coordination between
- 1:01:56DoD and VA. Also also Richard Starr Act that
- 1:02:02was signed this week. Our, our colleague, our radio
- 1:02:07hose Magic Mike, he made that trip to to honor that.
- 1:02:13Basically what that Richard Starr act is, is if you were
- 1:02:18retired, let's say you're 100% VA, you're tired from the
- 1:02:22military, you got hit combat, so you get Sierra C, the retirement
- 1:02:27that you get. You can't have the retirement
- 1:02:29and the VA at the same time. It's called double dipping.
- 1:02:33And when you have one, you're basically letting go of the
- 1:02:38other, you know, for tax, usually they take what the VA
- 1:02:42gives you over your retirement. I don't know the numbers, and
- 1:02:46I'm just just throwing that out there.
- 1:02:49And when with this Richard Starr Act, when it takes effect, it
- 1:02:57means that if you're getting $800 or $900.00 of retirement
- 1:03:03and you're getting CRSC and you're, you're getting VA, you
- 1:03:08don't have to pay that back. You get that money back.
- 1:03:12You know, I, I, I believe, I believe, and I could be wrong.
- 1:03:16Tell me in the comments. That's how you correct me.
- 1:03:19Tell me in the comments, OK. But I believe that when we came
- 1:03:26back from Iraq, there was a of a form like a lawsuit or whatever.
- 1:03:33And since it was combat, you got that 10% tax or whatever, you
- 1:03:40got that back. If if you know, that's on your
- 1:03:43records, you got that back. And I think this has to do kind
- 1:03:47of like the same thing, but this has to do with just being able
- 1:03:51to get the retirement pay plus the VA.
- 1:03:54So we'll see. We'll we'll, we'll see what
- 1:03:58happens on that. We're going to go on another
- 1:04:02break because it looks like MJ and her husband needs a little
- 1:04:08bit of extra time. So when we come back, we'll be
- 1:04:12talking with Ozzy. So whatever you do, stay with
- 1:04:15us. Don't go away.
- 1:04:16You're listening to the show that highlights all the
- 1:04:19nonprofit programs out there beyond the VA.
- 1:04:22You're listening to the ACE train show right here on the
- 1:04:24station. That's get letting our veterans
- 1:04:27be heard listening to MBR. All right, to the station where
- 1:08:25our veterans voices are heard. MBR Talk Hey, thanks for tuning
- 1:08:32in. Welcome are those of the
- 1:08:34speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions
- 1:08:38of any entities they represent the web at MB radio dot.
- 1:08:45The interview of the Week is brought to you by Jersey Mike's,
- 1:08:50a sub above, ladies and gentlemen, are some of the above
- 1:08:58interview of the week. It's Ozzy.
- 1:09:02How are you, Ozzy? Woo hang in there man.
- 1:09:06Do a lot of yard work around here.
- 1:09:10Good God, we're. Going to have to go to.
- 1:09:12Stop now from Jersey Mike. 'S There we go.
- 1:09:16Hey, you know, I'm really glad that you came on here.
- 1:09:21You know, so many times that in society we go places and, you
- 1:09:28know, military are veterans that we're we're guilty of it too.
- 1:09:33But sometimes when we go out in public, you know, we we get, you
- 1:09:39know, we get told, you know, thank you for your service,
- 1:09:42thank you for your service. But you guys don't really get a
- 1:09:46thank you. You guys don't really get, you
- 1:09:50guys don't even get a challenge coin.
- 1:09:52I don't even think they give challenge coins.
- 1:09:54You know, you don't give shit. You know, it's like, it's like a
- 1:09:57thankless job, you know? And we wanted to not only honor
- 1:10:01you, but we wanted to, we want to see your emotions.
- 1:10:05We wanted to feel the way you felt while she was deployed,
- 1:10:10while she was, you know, dealing with the sickness that she still
- 1:10:15has today, you know, and there has to be hard bearing on your
- 1:10:19shoulders, you know, not as a burden, but as, you know, just
- 1:10:24you just, you got to take a little bit more of the workload
- 1:10:27kind of thing sometimes. How explain explain what you
- 1:10:34went through. Well, when I go through every
- 1:10:36time that you go through surgery, where you going bro?
- 1:10:39I'm. Talking.
- 1:10:44He's on a couch, she's on a big coffee.
- 1:10:47You know, when whenever she goes through surgery and she starts
- 1:10:50going through all her stuff, you know, my main focus is to keep
- 1:10:53her comfortable and, and to be all the support that I could be
- 1:10:56for her. My life gets basically put on
- 1:10:59hold, which is fine by me because everything she's put
- 1:11:02herself on hold for this country.
- 1:11:05And I never really jumped into the military, which I should
- 1:11:10have, but I never did. You should have found out more
- 1:11:13about it before you jumped into it, right?
- 1:11:15Yeah, you know, but, you know, taking care of her is, is is
- 1:11:20basically everything there is. And it's all really heartfelt,
- 1:11:25you know, because, you know, sometimes I do get frustrated.
- 1:11:28We both get frustrated. I mean, there's no.
- 1:11:29Other word for it. You know, she's down, she's
- 1:11:31hurting, she can't move, she can't do something by herself.
- 1:11:35I'm, I'm sitting there trying to help her and I'm doing
- 1:11:39something. She barks at me.
- 1:11:40I bark back, you know, you know, I mean, and, and we just, but
- 1:11:45we, we cope with each other until she gets past that little
- 1:11:50point and then everything settles back down.
- 1:11:52I get her comfortable and then I go about my business.
- 1:11:56But my business is her all the way around.
- 1:11:59I have to take care of her and the special thanks that I can't
- 1:12:03give to her. I can't I can't feel any more
- 1:12:08than what I do by trying to help her because you know, the
- 1:12:11veterans, they take a pounding out there, you know, and people
- 1:12:15don't don't realize that. And as you said, you know,
- 1:12:19you're walking out of public, which she don't let me out of
- 1:12:21public very often and I don't let her out of public very
- 1:12:23often. But but when we do, you know,
- 1:12:26they say thank you and and that that really feels good that when
- 1:12:29we're out in the street and someone says thank you to her,
- 1:12:31man, that just goes smooth, man. You know, it goes smooth and
- 1:12:35it's and I'm proud to to be her husband on top of that.
- 1:12:39OK, we're going to get a little personal and we're going to ask
- 1:12:42is there something like, for example, I ain't going to get
- 1:12:46that personal example of my wife, you know, to tell me that
- 1:12:50she loves me. She'll get like a snicker bar in
- 1:12:53a Mountain Dew. Do you guys have like a small
- 1:12:56little thing that just you, you just, you know, it's, it's from
- 1:13:01your, it's from your history, it's from, you know, you being
- 1:13:04together like that one thing you know that he likes and like, if
- 1:13:08you want to say thank you or you love you, but you don't want to
- 1:13:11talk to him because he was right and you're pissed off about it.
- 1:13:15So you give him something that says I love you.
- 1:13:17Do you guys have a story like that?
- 1:13:20Well, you know, I did go through a few surgeries myself, you
- 1:13:24know, my back and whatnot. And I was a pain in the ass.
- 1:13:28I'm not going to lie to you. I was a real serious pain in the
- 1:13:31ass. And I felt bad for her at the
- 1:13:32same time. But you know, I was in pain.
- 1:13:35I was immobile. I couldn't do anything and.
- 1:13:39Her, her way of of of. Making me smooth out, she would
- 1:13:43give me a pint of ice cream of Ben and Jerry's, which now I
- 1:13:46find out that Ben and Jerry's is really bad for you, but that's
- 1:13:51what she would do. Or, you know, in the mornings,
- 1:13:54you know, myself towards her, I make her her cup of coffee or,
- 1:13:59you know, or bring her little cookies that she likes with some
- 1:14:02of those cookies, Steladoras, you know, and I and I play some
- 1:14:06there for her. So when she gets downstairs,
- 1:14:08she's good to go, you know, and puts a smile on her face.
- 1:14:11And that just lightened up my whole day.
- 1:14:13Honest to God, that really does that.
- 1:14:15Just lightened up my whole day. That means I can jump on my
- 1:14:17tractor, on my lawnmower, or grab the weed eater or pull
- 1:14:20weeds, whatever it is. But you know what?
- 1:14:21In the back of my mind, I'm smiling the whole time because I
- 1:14:24know that she put up. I put a smile on that face.
- 1:14:26Hers. That's amazing.
- 1:14:30I almost don't want to ask this next question because I'm going
- 1:14:33to go a little dark. A little dark, OK, Can you
- 1:14:37express? Because there's some people that
- 1:14:40are watching this and, you know, sometimes when you find out
- 1:14:44somebody's going through the same thing and you learn about
- 1:14:48that sometimes, sometimes it, it, it makes like the, the, the
- 1:14:53trauma of the event a little less tingly, if you know what I
- 1:14:57mean. Can you express how you felt
- 1:15:01before that deployment? What was you sad?
- 1:15:05Was you like anxious? Like every time that phone rang,
- 1:15:09you know, you know, just give us, give us the emotions so that
- 1:15:15others can learn. You know, maybe I'm not going
- 1:15:18crazy. Maybe this is?
- 1:15:20Well, I'm going to. Tell.
- 1:15:23You not to, not to cut you off there, but I wasn't around when,
- 1:15:27when she, when she was deployed, you know, I was not around.
- 1:15:31You know, we, we, we met many, many years ago prior to us
- 1:15:34getting together and you know, she was married.
- 1:15:38I was married. That didn't work out.
- 1:15:39And then later on in life and, you know, when we started
- 1:15:43dating, you know, she looked at me, she goes, you know, I'm
- 1:15:45going to go through a, a series of surgeries and this is your
- 1:15:49time to get out because I'm going to be down from months on
- 1:15:53end. And I'm like, we'll bring it on.
- 1:15:56You know, So I stuck by her side.
- 1:15:59She always tells me, you know, you always had time to leave.
- 1:16:02And I was like, why would I leave when I love something so
- 1:16:04much? Right.
- 1:16:05Well, I mean, I'm your support, you know, and she's my support.
- 1:16:09She is my backbone and I'm hopefully I'm hers, you know, we
- 1:16:13are each other's rocks, I believe.
- 1:16:14And every once in a while, you know, you want to just throw
- 1:16:16that rock, kick it, you know? Do something.
- 1:16:23Wait, when you guys get an argument that she yell at you
- 1:16:26and say flip it, flip it, flip it.
- 1:16:31Oh yeah. Do you know how many times I've
- 1:16:33said hopes I can send to this man?
- 1:16:36Oh yeah, I'm like so sick. Oh yeah, don't throw homie and
- 1:16:38me. Don't be homie and me.
- 1:16:41You know, you know, and listen, when unless guys get mad, we
- 1:16:45don't we don't see anything else besides what we think that we're
- 1:16:48correct. And we usually are.
- 1:16:50But you know, we give them the we give them the little thing
- 1:16:53that they think that they are, you know, but deep down inside
- 1:16:56we know we're right. I know, Joel, could you know?
- 1:17:01She'll play with me on this one. I picked my battles.
- 1:17:05We had a whole snake. What about Pat?
- 1:17:07No, absolutely. You got to pick your battles,
- 1:17:10are you? Kidding.
- 1:17:12Are you kidding? But I let her win most of the
- 1:17:14time. I just think he's wrong and
- 1:17:16strong man. You know, and you know, I and I
- 1:17:19know I'm a royal pain in the ass, you know, there's no doubt
- 1:17:23about it, You know, I mean, I'm setting my ways and half of it
- 1:17:27is backwoods stuff. I mean, look at him.
- 1:17:31He's he's kind of a burly kind of guy, right?
- 1:17:33Kind of rugged, burly kind of swamp for smutters.
- 1:17:39But let me tell you the heart that a spouse has to know that
- 1:17:48that's emotional to know that your spouse would get you out of
- 1:17:52bed, bathe you, you know, help you get your clothes on, help
- 1:17:56brush your teeth. That's what he does, this big
- 1:18:01burly guy. You know, and, and whenever,
- 1:18:04whenever that I'm going to bathe her and she misbehaves, I shake
- 1:18:07her outside with the hose. Well, at least it's the hose
- 1:18:13normally. It's like normally the pressure
- 1:18:15washer, yeah. That's why she really
- 1:18:17misbehaved. So MJ, I'm going to have you
- 1:18:22asked the next question and then interview and then we're going
- 1:18:27to go to the Time to Shine. So whatever you would like to
- 1:18:30ask him, go ahead. If you had to do it all over
- 1:18:35again, would you? 100% not.
- 1:18:38Even not even thinking about it, you.
- 1:18:40Know she is my life. You know, I'm proud to say that
- 1:18:44I'm her husband. And when I talk about it to, to
- 1:18:49all my, my colleagues and friends, the people that I deal
- 1:18:52with, I'm, I'm, I can't be any prouder that she, that she did
- 1:18:57what she did. And she, and she goes through
- 1:18:59everything now. My, my biggest, my biggest thing
- 1:19:02that she has actually said to me, you know, and this, this
- 1:19:07what, this, what really goes to the heart when she's like, you
- 1:19:12know, the military. Did this to me and I go yeah.
- 1:19:15And So what are you saying to me?
- 1:19:18With this, she goes. I would do it all over again for
- 1:19:19my country. I love my country and that just
- 1:19:22puts a tear in your eye when you hear that, you know you're with
- 1:19:25the right person because I'm a true, true patriot myself.
- 1:19:29You know, I don't, I don't believe in any of the the.
- 1:19:31BS that's going on. Out there.
- 1:19:32That's why I'm up here and leave me alone and, you know, give me
- 1:19:35a tractor and good stuff and and, and you know that that just
- 1:19:40makes me proud when people ask me, you know, she must be pissed
- 1:19:44off. I go.
- 1:19:45She would do it all over again. And they're like, what?
- 1:19:48I go, yeah, she would do it all over again.
- 1:19:49You know, I mean, she loves her country.
- 1:19:51I mean, she is a die hard patriot.
- 1:19:53Die hard. You know, we battle against this
- 1:19:56all the time with each other. But, you know, she's die hard.
- 1:19:58You know, she's she's a lot more than me.
- 1:20:01But don't tell her that. You know it.
- 1:20:05Is is. It was really nice having you on
- 1:20:08Ozzy. It really was the question that
- 1:20:13I was going to ask. I got to be honest, the question
- 1:20:15that I was going to ask you like I'm sitting here trying to
- 1:20:18remember. I should have wrote it down, but
- 1:20:20you know, the the emotional toll that you go through day in day
- 1:20:27out. I know that you said that it's
- 1:20:32it's it's worth it to you. Do you think that her
- 1:20:39podcasting? I'm I finally remembered I was
- 1:20:43trying to I ain't gonna lie. I was, I was trying to like
- 1:20:46Swagger the, the podcasting. Can you look at her and can you
- 1:20:52tell the a difference when she's podcasting, like her mental
- 1:20:58health, attitude, everything as as you can you tell the
- 1:21:04difference before and after? Absolutely, absolutely that.
- 1:21:08That's what keeps her saying. I'm going to tell.
- 1:21:10You the truth, this whole podcasting thing that she's
- 1:21:12doing, because I get I get the the whole good and bad on it and
- 1:21:18most of it's really, really good.
- 1:21:20So it's a positive note. And and I like the way she likes
- 1:21:24to flip stuff on you. You know, she likes to flip it
- 1:21:28and you know, sometimes the cartwheel goes in there too.
- 1:21:32But you know her, her whole attitude with the with the whole
- 1:21:36podcast and if she gets to help one person that made it for her,
- 1:21:43you know that made it. For her because.
- 1:21:44I mean, and I know her words getting out there and I can't
- 1:21:47thank you enough for supporting what what she does.
- 1:21:51Really. I mean, she loves you to death.
- 1:21:54I mean, she talks about you all the time.
- 1:21:56And I was like, hey, man, what are you talking about now?
- 1:21:57I'm just kidding. I've I've learned a lot.
- 1:22:00I've I've learned a lot from him.
- 1:22:01Jay, you. Know I've I've learned a lot by
- 1:22:05just you know, you can only see a shrink so many times a month
- 1:22:11people and you know sometimes ChatGPT is there to be my little
- 1:22:16Jiminy Cricket, you know yeah, don't look at it once I die.
- 1:22:21I don't want you guys to think less of me on the search injury.
- 1:22:26But a lot of Barneys, you know, it's, it's nice.
- 1:22:31It's nice to. Win you can.
- 1:22:33Call another friend and you can invent to them and you can yell
- 1:22:41and talk about your day and not be judged.
- 1:22:44No judgement not be. You know not to spread rumors.
- 1:22:53You know, instead of helping the person, hurting the person,
- 1:22:58those are the two things, right? You know, And when you have
- 1:23:03that, yeah, you know, when, when she's, when she's on air.
- 1:23:08I try to do everything possible and I know I screwed up all the
- 1:23:10time, therefore making noise and, you know, but I'm just
- 1:23:14trying to go about my day and it's kind of hard to go about
- 1:23:16your day without making any kind of noise.
- 1:23:19And I tried to do stuff around her so I can surprise her when
- 1:23:22she gets done with her podcast that she's like, oh shit, he got
- 1:23:25that done, You know what I mean? But she's she's a whole other
- 1:23:30person and and tell you the truth, you know she likes the.
- 1:23:32Vent. And I sit there and I take it
- 1:23:35and sometimes I take it personal.
- 1:23:36I'm not going to lie, I take it personal.
- 1:23:39And then I have to realize that it's not about me.
- 1:23:42It's it's all her deep, dark secrets that she.
- 1:23:45Has inside that's getting. Out and someone has a problem
- 1:23:49that she's talking to me she's not telling me about the person
- 1:23:52but she's talking about the problem and and I have to sit
- 1:23:55there and and go you know you want to fix it you want to fix
- 1:24:00it but you. Know, you know what, she doesn't
- 1:24:03want you to fix it. She just wants you to talk.
- 1:24:06That's it. She wants you to stand there
- 1:24:08like a speed bump and just listen.
- 1:24:11That's what she wants. I've learned that, you know, and
- 1:24:14it's, it's kind of like my, my, my dad told me this marriage is
- 1:24:19kind of like, you know, a football team and you know,
- 1:24:22you're the coach. When the coach is sitting there
- 1:24:25griping and yelling and you know, and stuff, you don't, you
- 1:24:30don't talk back. You just listen and then you go
- 1:24:33out in the field and then you play.
- 1:24:36And that's, that's how we kind of have to treat marriage.
- 1:24:40We got to treat marriage kind of like a teamwork thing where, you
- 1:24:44know, not, you know, just because he's a man, don't, you
- 1:24:47know, don't think he can fix engines or, or be a Carpenter
- 1:24:51or, you know, plumbing and stuff, you know, and if you, and
- 1:24:56if you're with a woman and you're married, don't, don't
- 1:24:59think, oh, well, you know, she has to do all the cooking and
- 1:25:01the cleaning. Everything, everything is like a
- 1:25:04team sport. You're a team, right?
- 1:25:08You're a team, right? Absolutely.
- 1:25:10And I don't think people are understanding.
- 1:25:13That and that's the reason why. I I've said all the time,
- 1:25:16everybody has a beginner marriage.
- 1:25:19Oh yeah, man, we both had two beginner marriages, right?
- 1:25:24We always do, you know, 'cause, 'cause you learn.
- 1:25:27And you know, that is my my first marriage.
- 1:25:32He was actually in the. Military, but he couldn't deal.
- 1:25:35He couldn't deal with with all of my handicaps.
- 1:25:40I'm I'm gonna say it like that. And he that's what ended that
- 1:25:44one pretty quick because I have being auto and neuroimmune until
- 1:25:50I got myself and my immunities to where I needed them.
- 1:25:53It was even like Ozzy, this last one, his guilt rendered him for
- 1:25:58months and it broke him because he brought COVID home.
- 1:26:04He went out to a farm show and brought COVID home.
- 1:26:08And within what, 10 hours, yeah, within 10 hours of him being
- 1:26:13home, I was, I mean, that's just how bad my immunity is.
- 1:26:16It was, I started, I go, I'm, I'm getting sick.
- 1:26:19And he goes, no, I go, I'm telling you, it's starting.
- 1:26:22And I, I could feel, I could feel the central nerve.
- 1:26:24I could feel it in my head. I could feel it in my, in my
- 1:26:27body. The nerves were getting ready to
- 1:26:28shut down. And he was like, and he just
- 1:26:32couldn't for a whole month. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 1:26:36Every day it was. And I'm sorry.
- 1:26:37And I'm like, man, as a veteran, I don't want somebody to be
- 1:26:43sorry. I don't want.
- 1:26:44Somebody not to. Live their life.
- 1:26:47So if you're a veteran with a handicap, especially an
- 1:26:50autoimmunity, one man, it it sucks and you feel them.
- 1:26:55You feel the the pain and you also feel that you are holding
- 1:27:00them back. That's more the guilt and
- 1:27:02remorse that I have with my husband is that I always feel as
- 1:27:07a veteran, which has to get healed obviously, because I'm
- 1:27:11still upset with it, but I always feel like he quit his job
- 1:27:17in the beginning in two. 1009 he.
- 1:27:19Completely just walked away from the fishing industry because he
- 1:27:23knew for three years I was going to have like 1 surgery after the
- 1:27:28other and he knew that someone's going to have to be there to
- 1:27:31cook to clean to, you know, even though the military was, they
- 1:27:34were brought in an aid, you know, they would bring in an aid
- 1:27:37and they would bring in, you know people to clean the house,
- 1:27:41but they cleaned my area or they cooked for me.
- 1:27:45But when they they're only there 2 hours a day.
- 1:27:47So that's, that's the stifle where you only get that health
- 1:27:52aide about two hours a day. So whatever it is that you need
- 1:27:56personally, whether you know it's hygiene issues or whether
- 1:27:59it's exercise issues to give him that 2 hour window, man, I told
- 1:28:06him, I said I was surprised you were at the bar every freaking
- 1:28:08day for two hours lugging down beer.
- 1:28:10You should have been. I go just to, you know.
- 1:28:15To give a Peace of Mind. And and that's what started us
- 1:28:19with American blog talk radio, because we were both in the
- 1:28:22fishing industry for our whole lives pretty much after I got
- 1:28:25out of the military. And so we started the American
- 1:28:30broadcast with it was called Got Fish or Got Rum.
- 1:28:33And it's, you know, you can still see it up somewhere today,
- 1:28:36but it was more of a jovial, it was fun, it was happy.
- 1:28:39It was raising vibration to a higher level and not being
- 1:28:42depressed within the boundaries that I was confined.
- 1:28:45Now it's better. I mean, now I'm I'm really
- 1:28:48hammering with alternative medicine.
- 1:28:50So now it doesn't come as frequent instead of, you know,
- 1:28:54being down years and months on end, you know, I'm, I'm maybe
- 1:28:59out every year and a half instead of every six months to,
- 1:29:03to a year. So it's getting better for us.
- 1:29:07And again, that's why we moved up here to the top of the
- 1:29:10mountain where, yeah, see, that was the other thing.
- 1:29:13I went to this farm show. We moved up here so she
- 1:29:15wouldn't. Get sick and of course I I go to
- 1:29:18a farm show and I bring back COVID.
- 1:29:21I was going to say I was going to stop I.
- 1:29:23I don't remember the COVID part, but I, I know that you got hit
- 1:29:28in the eye and I was like, I, I, I, I know you've been through
- 1:29:31some physical abuse. Not saying from her, but so I
- 1:29:36do. Yeah, she does.
- 1:29:39I just got over the black eye. We each have.
- 1:29:44We each have our punches, which is.
- 1:29:46At least you learned the first time.
- 1:29:50Oh yeah. But you know, he asked me to
- 1:29:52marry him. July. 2000.
- 1:29:54And nine, and that's when I looked at him and said it's a no
- 1:29:58for now because you have no idea what's going to wait for you.
- 1:30:03And I go. And every month I kept telling
- 1:30:05him it's your chance to run, It's your chance to run, It's
- 1:30:07your chance to get out. But I mean, 12 surgeries within
- 1:30:12two years is a lot. And it all revolved around the
- 1:30:16autoimmunity. And like I told him, there will
- 1:30:19be nothing left by the time I go.
- 1:30:21I won't even be a woman physically by the time it's all
- 1:30:24freaking done. And he goes, oh, yes, you are.
- 1:30:28You're all a woman to me. So it's an honoring that he
- 1:30:31waited. And he waited, what, nine years?
- 1:30:35And he asked me again, actually, he asked me in seven years.
- 1:30:38And I said two years. And that just because I wanted
- 1:30:42to plan a great wedding that I know he would enjoy.
- 1:30:44Oh, yeah, yeah, it was, it's it's been a.
- 1:30:49Hard Rd. But it's been a.
- 1:30:51Good Rd. you know, because we have each other for support and
- 1:30:55there's nothing I would have do for her.
- 1:30:57There's nothing, you know, I think if you find somebody who
- 1:31:00is a patriot and understands. What deploying is and
- 1:31:05understands the hardship and you might not come back, you know,
- 1:31:09100% you might come back with some type of issues, whether it
- 1:31:13be mentally or physically. If you find the right spouse in
- 1:31:17your life who is a patriot, they will support you no matter what,
- 1:31:22no matter what they have to give up, they will do it.
- 1:31:24And that is the love that is a that's a massive connection.
- 1:31:28It is it is we're running out of time.
- 1:31:31So what I'm? Going to do now is I?
- 1:31:34It is that time. It's the interview of the week,
- 1:31:39your time to shine. Wow.
- 1:31:40I'm like off like Samson is like OK.
- 1:31:43Today's time to shine is brought to you by Dunkin' Donuts
- 1:31:49veterans and 1st responders runs on Dunkin.
- 1:31:54This is your time to shine. Believe me, it is your.
- 1:32:01Time to shine, Ozzy. Maybe I didn't ask you that
- 1:32:03right question. Or set you.
- 1:32:05Up for that right answer or maybe MJ didn't ask you the
- 1:32:09right question or set you up for your answer.
- 1:32:11Is there anything that you would like to speak?
- 1:32:15This is a 2 minute platform. You can talk about whatever you
- 1:32:19would like to. Well, our life up here.
- 1:32:24Has been challenging but I wouldn't, I wouldn't pass that
- 1:32:29up with anybody else but her 'cause she is my rock.
- 1:32:32Like I said, I said that earlier, you know, she is mine
- 1:32:37and I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize that, especially
- 1:32:42being up here our our life together that we've made-up here
- 1:32:48and. We're still.
- 1:32:48Making it because we're not done with our whole home and the
- 1:32:51whole Mojazi thing that we got going on here.
- 1:32:54We have a lot of stuff going on which is just going to bring us
- 1:32:56closer and closer and closer and closer.
- 1:32:59And I don't know how much closer that we could be except for be
- 1:33:03inside one another, You know, I mean, not like that.
- 1:33:07Well, yeah, like that, too. But, you know, But she is a
- 1:33:12wonderful person. I honor her every day.
- 1:33:17I try to say thank you as much as I can.
- 1:33:19And I know that sometimes I don't say thank you as much as I
- 1:33:21should, but I try to say thank you as much as I can.
- 1:33:25And not even for the whole military thing, just for her
- 1:33:27being my wife, you know, and, and I'm, I'm actually honored
- 1:33:32of, of taking care of her when I have to take care of her.
- 1:33:35And I try to do everything possible to make her comfortable
- 1:33:38at all times, at all times. You know he's not going to tell
- 1:33:43you this, but he reinvented his life.
- 1:33:46For me, he got into photography knowing that him and I could
- 1:33:51travel. We love the travel, the woods.
- 1:33:52We love to walk it, run it, go 4/4 wheel.
- 1:33:56We love the woods, no matter if it's the swamp woods or the
- 1:33:58forest. We love to be out there because
- 1:34:01we're not near public. So his nature of love and my
- 1:34:04nature, like he reinvented his life and career, which is how he
- 1:34:07became art by Osdot photography and did so much beautiful
- 1:34:11landscapes. And, you know, with his mom
- 1:34:13dying of cancer and him facing my challenges of the same thing,
- 1:34:18he really invented himself and and his pictures prove that.
- 1:34:21When if you ever look at his pictures, you can see that every
- 1:34:25single one has a story. Every single one has a thought
- 1:34:28process of why he took it. So yeah.
- 1:34:31But it's, it's basically all about her, you know?
- 1:34:36When I'm taking pictures and something really comes out
- 1:34:38really nice right from the gecko, who's the first person I
- 1:34:41send it to, it's to her, you know, I want to see her reaction
- 1:34:45and it's for her that's that picture is dedicated basically
- 1:34:48to her. All the pictures I take starts
- 1:34:51off her being my #1 and that's how, that's how we, we, we go,
- 1:34:58you know, we try to go take pictures together.
- 1:35:00Sometimes we can, sometimes we can't, you know, because of
- 1:35:03life, life events. But most of the time she's
- 1:35:06whipping 24/7. You know, we're joined at the
- 1:35:09hip. And that's what actually drives
- 1:35:11us both crazy sometimes because we're only human.
- 1:35:15You know, she wants, she wants to kill me sometimes.
- 1:35:18And and I sit there and say, well, you know, you have every
- 1:35:20right too. Yeah, if you're staying with
- 1:35:23somebody and you guys don't start.
- 1:35:25Fighting, say day 8 or day 9, that's not normal.
- 1:35:29You know, you're, you're, you're, you're starting to fight
- 1:35:32within like the first three days usually, you know, and it's not
- 1:35:37because you guys don't like each other.
- 1:35:39It's just because the, the vibe, the energy, you know, it's,
- 1:35:44it's, it's different from everybody, you know, but it
- 1:35:48doesn't be hard. You know, I have to tell you
- 1:35:51this. It I I know how I am.
- 1:35:53When I'm sick I it's hard and he'll bring up food 2-3 times in
- 1:35:59a day and it will sit there and I think after like you don't eat
- 1:36:02after the 3rd or 4th. He is like I am going to shove
- 1:36:06the food down your throat. If we don't eat here, who gets?
- 1:36:13He gets, but there is. Like there is.
- 1:36:15Just and I get that. I get that as a being that
- 1:36:19person who needs that assistance when you are in pain, that is
- 1:36:25the last thing you want is food. It is just it is just not there.
- 1:36:31But and I also get that the nutrition has to come up.
- 1:36:34But when you have a central nervous system that snaps on
- 1:36:38your, your survival cord, that is excruciating pain in your
- 1:36:42legs and your lower extremities for me and having that, it just,
- 1:36:47I mean, the morphine in itself that they put you on, you don't
- 1:36:50want to eat anyway. You, you, you literally I'll
- 1:36:53lose a lot of weight and my things will all drop because of
- 1:36:57that. But he constantly is that force
- 1:37:02to it's going to happen and he's going to make it happen because
- 1:37:06he's not giving up. So if you have a healthcare
- 1:37:09person who's taking care of you, whether the spouse, a friend, a
- 1:37:12family member, whatever, and they don't give up, yeah, you're
- 1:37:16getting explosively every single day.
- 1:37:18But try to flip that. That's one of the things I
- 1:37:20really try hard to flip is not to do that.
- 1:37:24Gotta flip it. Gotta flip it, right?
- 1:37:28And now you gotta flip it. Yeah, and he'll remind me of
- 1:37:34that. He'll, you know, he's like.
- 1:37:36Well, am I going to be pulling the plug in Baronia or are we
- 1:37:39going to eat here? What are we doing?
- 1:37:41Because because this isn't going to work and I get that.
- 1:37:45So his stamina and his constant assistance in my in the moment
- 1:37:52is you're a pain in my ass. But when I get out of the
- 1:37:55moment, you're like, he is not going to let you just sit here
- 1:37:58and suffer or die. He's just not.
- 1:38:00He is a troop warrior and he's going to make this happen.
- 1:38:04He gave up his life for this. And that's I think is the going
- 1:38:08force. Why?
- 1:38:09No matter what arguments we have, or what I call them
- 1:38:13disagreements or discrimblements, we, we always
- 1:38:17come back together no matter what.
- 1:38:20And I think it's a. It works on both sides, you
- 1:38:25know, he found a. Wife who likes fishing.
- 1:38:27And hunting and the woods, and you know some of the manly man
- 1:38:31things. And you know, I'll sit and you
- 1:38:35know he'll have his cigar and I'll sit right with him.
- 1:38:38Maybe not smoke a cigar, but yeah, to have a cigar, He's a
- 1:38:43bill. Clinton fan?
- 1:38:44No, I'm gonna guess. Well, Ozzy, thank you for taking
- 1:38:50care. Of him Jay thank you for being
- 1:38:53here on the show today and I'm just I'm glad that you're both
- 1:38:59here and to tell you guys inspirational story ladies and
- 1:39:03gentlemen we are going to go to Tribute to troops but when we
- 1:39:09come back stay tuned because we have the final thoughts Ozzy
- 1:39:13you're more than welcome to stay if you want it's up to you but
- 1:39:18when we come back we'll we'll go through the final thoughts so
- 1:39:22once again you listen to the station that's giving letting
- 1:39:27our veterans be heard right here on the H train show where we're
- 1:39:31showing veterans all the programs out there be on the VA
- 1:39:35the H train show detail attention first call the service
- 1:39:44members name is called out loud in the context.
- 1:39:47Of a unit. This is meant to ensure all are
- 1:39:50present and accounted for. Second call the name is called
- 1:39:54out again louder to confirm that the service.
- 1:39:57Member is. Indeed, absent third call.
- 1:40:01The name is called out for a final.
- 1:40:02Time followed by a statement indicating.
- 1:40:05That the service member is not present and accounted for,
- 1:40:08signifying their death. The final roll call serves as a
- 1:40:11symbolic gesture to respect and remember their service.
- 1:40:20Sir, I don't. I don't know how to tell the
- 1:40:24story. Well, you got to go.
- 1:40:26You. Tell the American.
- 1:40:28People what these men did here you tell them how much troopers
- 1:40:31died tuning in to MBR today as we.

- 1:47:57MBR talk Hey thanks for tuning in welcome back program are
- 1:48:04those of the speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views or
- 1:48:09positions of any entities they represent the web at MB radio
- 1:48:14dot and that doesn't sound as fake but anyways that was a
- 1:48:25perfect interview and it was a great interview you know and not
- 1:48:28only did we learn a little bit about you know the MJ the MJ and
- 1:48:35you know the. Sport that you have a family.
- 1:48:36Life But you know, I think you guys might have learned a little
- 1:48:39bit more about each other. You know, sometimes it we assume
- 1:48:45the other person loves you, but when they come out and explain
- 1:48:52or say what they say, it's just a, a confirm or acknowledge me,
- 1:49:00you know kind of thing. It's just nice to know that
- 1:49:05something loves you back because we all know that you can love
- 1:49:08something and that thing not ever really love you, you know,
- 1:49:13and it's good that you guys aren't in that situation.
- 1:49:18I'm glad that you guys came on today and talked about your
- 1:49:23experience. It was really great.
- 1:49:25So I appreciate that. Thank you MJ.
- 1:49:27You, you, you open some, you open some people's, you know,
- 1:49:31minds and stuff today. I I feel OK.
- 1:49:35Well, you know, before we get to the final thoughts, I sent you
- 1:49:39the thing too. Ladies and gentlemen, if you
- 1:49:42didn't know, this Sunday is Father's Day.
- 1:49:47And when that means that means look, society is bad.
- 1:49:53You know, there's no money out there, hardly anything.
- 1:49:56Everything costs so much. But we've got some ideas to
- 1:50:00share with you and I I'll go ahead and do the odds.
- 1:50:05You can do the evens, OK, But these are some Father's Day DIY
- 1:50:10gifts, low cost. Here's some help help budget
- 1:50:15family friendly kind of crafts that you can do one personalized
- 1:50:22coupon book. This would go a long way,
- 1:50:26especially if it has to do with your mom and dad if you're a
- 1:50:30child. I don't know so much if this
- 1:50:33would work on my dad, but you know, it's kind of like the
- 1:50:37thought that counts. That's what I would do is I'd
- 1:50:39buy him a Hot Wheels car and say here dad, here's happy Father's
- 1:50:42Day. If I could afford it, I'd buy it
- 1:50:44for you. It's the thought that counts.
- 1:50:46Sometimes it flies as but sometimes it's not.
- 1:50:49Anyways, so one free car wash BBQ master for a day, tailor
- 1:50:56coupons to your likes. That's a great thing for father
- 1:51:01and it's a great thing for a mother or spouse also.
- 1:51:05It is. I give my own husband Winky.
- 1:51:08Winky. 10 coupons and it's his day and I tell him it's your day
- 1:51:13baby, you can leave that toilet seat up all damn day long.
- 1:51:16It's your day. That's a good one.
- 1:51:19But then we have a memory. Jar.
- 1:51:21So the memory jar is a good one. Because we write 20 things that
- 1:51:25we admire about him to give him the endorphins to allow him to
- 1:51:31know that he is loved beyond time and space.
- 1:51:36Also you can do. A custom photo frame.
- 1:51:41Decorate a store bought frame with paints, decals, Add a
- 1:51:45cherished photo. Or what I used to do when I was
- 1:51:49little. You can take popsicles, real
- 1:51:52popsicle sticks and you can collect them and you can make
- 1:51:56kind of little, little frame. And then if you don't have any
- 1:52:00glue, toothpaste, little bit of toothpaste that that will make
- 1:52:06it stick to it almost like glue. So just just some things to
- 1:52:11think about out there. You can also give his favorite
- 1:52:14treats or snacks you can. Try to find all those little
- 1:52:18things that doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg.
- 1:52:21Just go. Like, I know that if I put like
- 1:52:24the Buckeyes candies from the Amish in there and I put his
- 1:52:28little chocolate chip muffins and I put his little Reese's
- 1:52:32Peanut Buttercup. I mean, this man is going to be
- 1:52:34in heaven with his Cafe Con leches.
- 1:52:37That's what he likes. If I could find good Cuban bread
- 1:52:40toasted around here and Aeropus, he man, this guy would go ape
- 1:52:46shit. In fact, he loves how many men
- 1:52:49love that the food, right? So like my grandmother would
- 1:52:52always say you want a man to love you, he's go straight to
- 1:52:55his stomach. So cook him something that you
- 1:53:00know, maybe he loves. He absolutely is his favorite
- 1:53:04dish and most time at steak or something on the grill, but not
- 1:53:08let him wear the apron. You wear the apron.
- 1:53:11No, unless he really is that kind of, you know, grill guy,
- 1:53:14then you know, his drill master skills were like, babe, I'll get
- 1:53:17you, you know, what do you want? What's the beer you want?
- 1:53:20You know, what do we do? So we put some beer and we put
- 1:53:23some deer on the on the grill. He is very happy with his cigar.
- 1:53:27It is a very easy, easy, easy thing.
- 1:53:33And we have a. Hand decorated mug used ceramic
- 1:53:37markers to design A mug. Bake to seal the deal.
- 1:53:43I didn't know bake. I didn't know that you baked it
- 1:53:47after you drew on it. Well, you know there is another
- 1:53:52thing here too, especially if your.
- 1:53:54Father, your dad is a veteran and you are a huge Penn State
- 1:53:59fan. I want to put something.
- 1:54:01Up for you guys. Can I put it?
- 1:54:04I'll put it up on the screen and this costs you.
- 1:54:07Nothing. Look at this I.

- 1:54:51Yeah, you have to take that off. It's done.
- 1:54:53But there's. There's the link if anybody.
- 1:54:55Needs it go on to Penn State litany islands post and it'll be
- 1:55:00right there you can go right on Facebook.
- 1:55:02You can even Google it and you just put Penn State Nittany
- 1:55:06Lions Military Support, your Military Hero Awards and it'll
- 1:55:12it should pop up. If not, I'm going to try to put
- 1:55:14that link up on here so that everybody has it.
- 1:55:18Let's see, add your link, save your link.
- 1:55:21I don't know how to do the link thing.
- 1:55:23I'll figure it out and I'll put it there.
- 1:55:25How about that? All right, there we go.
- 1:55:27Fabulous. OK, well it is that.
- 1:55:30Time. Oh, I we, I have.
- 1:55:32We have we're losing out of time.
- 1:55:34We got two we got to do real quick ADIY tie dye shirt.
- 1:55:39So simply tie dye kilns can create a cool customized shirt.
- 1:55:46So that we got that one and then you got the last one, MJ, the
- 1:55:52last one is. I went out of order here so I
- 1:55:56have to look. Nope, I don't.
- 1:56:00What is it? Homemade spice rum.
- 1:56:03Oh, there it is, Rub. Not rum rub I.
- 1:56:07Don't get anybody arrested. Here, blend favorite spices in a
- 1:56:10jar and write the recipe label and pair it with grilling tips.
- 1:56:17That's that's a cool idea. Oh, a lot of these are very,
- 1:56:21very cool idea, but it is that time everybody, it is the 2
- 1:56:27minute warning. Why is oh, there we go, it's a 2
- 1:56:31minute warning. The final thoughts, 554433211 we
- 1:56:42have ignition strapping. It's the two-minute warning.
- 1:56:45What we want today. At Project ML Gratitude, our
- 1:56:56mission is simple. To give motorcycles to veterans
- 1:56:58who need. The.
- 1:56:58Kind of peace. And freedom that only a ride
- 1:57:00can. Give.
- 1:57:03All right, ladies and gentlemen. This Saturday this Saturday June
- 1:57:0814th at Wheels and Deals in the Gratitude is not only going to
- 1:57:12be giving away a free motorcycle to a veteran, but they're also
- 1:57:19taking donations. MLML Gratitude has been with MBR
- 1:57:25as a supporter since 2018. They are amazing people.
- 1:57:30I think it's 2000. Yeah, it's 2000 maybe.
- 1:57:35Actually, I think it might be 2/20/19.
- 1:57:38But I this, Yeah. So they're, they've been huge
- 1:57:45supporters. We want to not only give them
- 1:57:48the spotlight, but we're gonna go promote, we're gonna go
- 1:57:51support. So if you would like to come by
- 1:57:54and say hi to any of the hosts that are there on that day, or

- 1:58:32those listings so we don't run out of time.
- 1:58:35MJ, what did you learn today? I learned that anything and.
- 1:58:41Everything can be accomplished if you just give a little bit of
- 1:58:44thought and put a little bit of love and understanding behind
- 1:58:47it. You can accomplish so many
- 1:58:49things in life. That's what I learned, yeah.
- 1:58:54And you know the one thing that I.
- 1:58:56Have I've constantly. Learned this is it's always
- 1:59:02correct, like knowing the information and speaking it
- 1:59:08rather than speaking, you know, assumptions because that you
- 1:59:13know that that's bad juju. That's, you know, that's giving
- 1:59:16out bad info. So, you know, I really
- 1:59:20appreciate those that write in the comments or write me a
- 1:59:23direct message and you know, try to teach me 'cause I'm
- 1:59:29teachable. At least I think I am.
- 1:59:31I'm teachable and I think most people are everybody that is our
- 1:59:35show for today. We're if I get this thing that
- 1:59:41is our show for today. We will be back next 30 same
- 1:59:45time, same bad channel. Once again, MJ, thank you for
