  Speaker 2: God is a gentleman, you know. I want to I

  Speaker 2: want to point that out to you. God is an

  Speaker 2: absolute gentleman. He will not come in unless he's invited.

  Speaker 2: He don't just barge into your life. He gives us

  Speaker 3: He right there. It's just a real simple thing, man.

  Speaker 2: on to this little thing that my mother kept talking

  Speaker 2: to me about. She said, sometimes some when you ain't

  Speaker 2: got nothing else in you, just hope. She said, just

  Speaker 2: hope It'll be all right, you know. And what I've

  Speaker 2: learned in my life is that hope is the beginning
• 1:35
  Speaker 2: of faith. Hope is just is their possibility out there

  Speaker 2: for me. I show hope, something happened. See hope. Hope

  Speaker 2: is okay, man, Because like I say, for me, the
• 1:52
  Speaker 2: way I've lived my life, hope was the beginning of faith.

  Speaker 3: It was just the idea.

  Speaker 2: It's just the thought that something could change for me,

  Speaker 2: that something could be a little bit different from me,

  Speaker 2: that maybe, man, just maybe for some reason, I could

  Speaker 2: be saved, I could be rescued, things could turn around,

  Speaker 2: it could hit any other direction. Maybe I could quit
• 2:16
  Speaker 2: messing up. Maybe somebody will forgive me. Maybe somebody will

  Speaker 2: will just say all right. I don't know, but I
• 2:24
  Speaker 2: can't count the times I've been in that position. But

  Speaker 2: then once I hope a little bit, and then I
• 2:29
  Speaker 2: remember also my mother, because she was a Sunday school teacher,

  Speaker 2: she taught me the most valuable lesson I've ever learned

  Speaker 2: in my life. Nothing has been greater in my life

  Speaker 2: than my faith. She taught me to pray. Mama used
• 2:42
  Speaker 2: to say, when it get real, dog for your son,

  Speaker 2: prayer change is things, she say, when you seem like
• 2:48
  Speaker 2: you lost and you can't find your way, stop and pray,
• 2:53
  Speaker 2: she said, because prayer change is things. You know, when
• 2:57
  Speaker 2: you get a point in your life when you've done
• 2:59
  Speaker 2: all you can do and you can ain't do no

  Speaker 2: more and you just don't know what to do next,

  Speaker 2: she says, stop son pray and combine that prayer with
• 3:09
  Speaker 2: that hope that you got, she said, because that hope
• 3:12
  Speaker 2: is the beginning of faith, she said. If you pray
• 3:15
  Speaker 2: just hoping, she's saying, to God come through for you.
• 3:19
  Speaker 2: That'll give you confidence that he can do it again.

  Speaker 2: And then after a while, you quit hoping, she's saying,
• 3:25
  Speaker 2: you start believing. She saying, that's when you're on to something.

  Speaker 2: If you can turn that hope into belief, that hope
• 3:33
  Speaker 2: into faith, the ability to believe in something that you
• 3:37
  Speaker 2: can't see. But the key though the faith is you're
• 3:40
  Speaker 2: believing in something that you can't see see hoping a
• 3:45
  Speaker 2: little bit different from me now, I'm pretty sure, like
• 3:47
  Speaker 2: I say oftentimes to tell a lot of people who
• 3:50
  Speaker 2: can explain this thing a lot better than I can
• 3:52
  Speaker 2: to you. But just from my side of it, being
• 3:55
  Speaker 2: as real as I can be, rich you See, hope helps.

  Speaker 3: Man.

  Speaker 2: If you ain't strong enough to have faith, have hope,
• 4:02
  Speaker 2: and then if you pray with some hope and God
• 4:05
  Speaker 2: answers your prayer, then that hope gains a little confidence,

  Speaker 2: and after a while that confidence becomes faith. Now the
• 4:14
  Speaker 2: ain't just hoping, but I'm believing. I'm believing in something
• 4:18
  Speaker 2: that I cannot see. Faith has been the key to
• 4:25
  Speaker 2: my entire existence, even when I didn't have any It
• 4:30
  Speaker 2: was faith, as I look back on it, that has
• 4:34
  Speaker 2: gotten me here.

  Speaker 3: And not just faith, but my faith. See, you will
• 4:40
  Speaker 3: only get to.
• 4:41
  Speaker 2: Where you're going in your life based on your faith.
• 4:46
  Speaker 3: See.

  Speaker 2: A lot of people get the word faith confused, like
• 4:49
  Speaker 2: what's your faith? And then they start going down this
• 4:52
  Speaker 2: whole list of all these different religions out here. But

  Speaker 2: really an essence, man, when I talk to people about faith,

  Speaker 2: I'm talking to you about it your belief. How much

  Speaker 2: do you believe in the unseen? How much do you
• 5:08
  Speaker 2: believe in the things you can't see? How much do
• 5:11
  Speaker 2: you believe in the impossible? How much do you believe see?
• 5:17
  Speaker 2: Because faith is the belief in things that you cannot see.

  Speaker 2: Faith is the core of all that is happening to
• 5:28
  Speaker 2: me today. It is the faith that I have in
• 5:31
  Speaker 2: my relationship with God that enables me to just oftentimes,
• 5:38
  Speaker 2: if I stay on the right course and believe a
• 5:41
  Speaker 2: certain way and act a certain way, his blessings just poor.

  Speaker 2: They just come. And it comes in a lot of
• 5:51
  Speaker 2: little ways too. I've started to notice, See, it ain't
• 5:54
  Speaker 2: just a lot of people think blessings is money. Nah, man,
• 5:57
  Speaker 2: that ain't it. It's coverage. It's every time my plane
• 6:01
  Speaker 2: lands safe. It's every time they predict bad weather and
• 6:06
  Speaker 2: I get up in the sky and it don't be
• 6:08
  Speaker 2: no bad weather. You know, this is this is favor.

  Speaker 2: These are blessings that get poured out to me. Somebody
• 6:16
  Speaker 2: call me and offer me something, not money, but an opportunity,
• 6:21
  Speaker 2: you know. Somebody say, hey, man, I don't know, but
• 6:25
  Speaker 2: I sent this to you.
• 6:26
  Speaker 3: I thought you might be interested in it.

  Speaker 2: Somebody will send me a scripture, or somebody will send

  Speaker 2: me something that's favor, and it always comes at a
• 6:35
  Speaker 2: time when I need it the most. That's favor that's
• 6:39
  Speaker 2: pouring out blessings.

  Speaker 3: Now.

  Speaker 2: I'm also the recipient of a lot of other blessings too.

  Speaker 2: You know, I've been blessed with health. That's amazing blessing. Man,

  Speaker 2: I've been blessed with a spirit of not quitting. I've
• 6:55
  Speaker 2: been blessed with the ability to shoulder huge amounts of responsibility. See,

  Speaker 2: blessings come a lot of ways. But once you tie
• 7:05
  Speaker 2: in to God, once you tie in and you start
• 7:10
  Speaker 2: doing the best you can do, and you start asking
• 7:13
  Speaker 2: for Him to make you a better person, to help
• 7:16
  Speaker 2: shape and mold you into the kind of man or
• 7:19
  Speaker 2: person that he wants you to be. You be amazed
• 7:23
  Speaker 2: what God can do with you. Man, if you just
• 7:25
  Speaker 2: invite me in and allow him to be a part
• 7:28
  Speaker 2: of your life. I mean, what you got to lose
• 7:30
  Speaker 2: out there? Come on, if you're sitting in the cell
• 7:33
  Speaker 2: this morning, why would you not change? You have a
• 7:37
  Speaker 2: chance to turn your life around with a relationship with God.

  Speaker 2: What you're waiting on? Are you gonna just keep doing

  Speaker 2: it like that? Huh?

  Speaker 3: Really? Come on, man, why would you do that to yourself?

  Speaker 2: Why would you not allow God to be a part

  Speaker 2: of your life so you can get the way he

  Speaker 2: wants you to be. God got some big plans for you.

  Speaker 2: If he didn't, you wouldn't keep waking up.
