- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to our Radio Archive hour of the day.
- 0:05Speaker 1: And this is a kickoff as to how we're going
- 0:08Speaker 1: to do this will of course have our podcasts and
- 0:10Speaker 1: our sket show, and then we'll do our radio Archive hour.
- 0:12Speaker 1: And this is our first of the week here on
- 0:14Speaker 1: this Monday, the eighth day of June, here in the
- 0:17Speaker 1: year twenty twenty six, because we're going back to two
- 0:19Speaker 1: thousand and four, because in that week of two thousand
- 0:23Speaker 1: and four, Ronald Reagan had passed on and there was
- 0:26Speaker 1: a lot of news about that and a lot of
- 0:27Speaker 1: conversation about that. And we have a young character that
- 0:30Speaker 1: we did named Justin McElroy on. He's a high school
- 0:32Speaker 1: senior at Canyon High School, and Justin came on to
- 0:35Speaker 1: talk about how much he didn't like Reagan, how much
- 0:38Speaker 1: he did like Bill Clinton, how much his mom and
- 0:40Speaker 1: her friends were kind of sex pigs, and a whole
- 0:43Speaker 1: bunch of other really fascinating stuff. In the meantime, he's
- 0:47Speaker 1: talking to a lot of adults that don't like him.
- 0:49Speaker 1: We also have a flashback, a comedy flashback from a
- 0:51Speaker 1: day before, which features a doctor, Jim Sadler, saying he
- 0:56Speaker 1: wasn't going to hold a man's place in line while
- 0:58Speaker 1: he went to the toilet, because going to the athroom
- 1:00Speaker 1: was not an acceptable public thing to do. I don't know,
- 1:03Speaker 1: but it took place as they stood in line waiting
- 1:06Speaker 1: to go to the public viewing of President Reagan. He
- 1:11Speaker 1: wasn't going to keep this guy's anyway. You'll hear it
- 1:14Speaker 1: here on today's Phil Henry Show Radio Archive hour.
- 1:18Speaker 2: This is the Phil Henry Show. Time out on the
- 1:23Speaker 2: Phil Henry Show.
- 1:24Speaker 3: For a second, we call teen Talk with me is
- 1:26Speaker 3: Justin McElroy. How do young people, teenagers view the Reagan legacy?
- 1:31Speaker 3: How are they reacting to the news of the death
- 1:34Speaker 3: of President Reagan? With me as a young man who
- 1:37Speaker 3: will be a high school senior next year's junior class
- 1:39Speaker 3: president last year at Canyon High School in Los Angeles.
- 1:42Speaker 2: His name is Justin mclroy. Justin, thank you for joining us.
- 1:46Speaker 3: And first of all, you've been hearing an awful lot
- 1:49Speaker 3: about the death of President Reagan. I'm sure how are
- 1:50Speaker 3: people your age, teenagers, how are you dealing with this
- 1:53Speaker 3: loss of this former President Reagan?
- 1:58Speaker 4: Well, I guess a lot of probably most of us,
- 2:01Speaker 4: we weren't very old when he left office. If if
- 2:03Speaker 4: we were born at all, and absolutely and these past
- 2:08Speaker 4: few days have been kind of overwhelmed by a lot
- 2:12Speaker 4: of these people who I guess believed that he was
- 2:15Speaker 4: a great president.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Well, how do you view him? How do you and
- 2:19Speaker 2: your classmates view him?
- 2:20Speaker 4: Well? Really, really more, President Clinton was our hero. I
- 2:23Speaker 4: could identify with him, probably more than with President Reagan.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Are you aware of of President Reagan's accomplishments?
- 2:31Speaker 4: Well, I mean, you know I'm aware of of I.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Mean, how familiar are you with President Reagan's tenure as president?
- 2:39Speaker 4: Well, like I said, I'm aware of Reagan's things that
- 2:42Speaker 4: he did, but you know, if you compare them to
- 2:45Speaker 4: President Clinton, they're not I guess you know, they're not
- 2:48Speaker 4: as good. I mean they were. They were talking some
- 2:51Speaker 4: of our teachers about what Reagan did to help the country.
- 2:54Speaker 4: And I told these two teachers that I heard talk,
- 2:58Speaker 4: and I said that they've had a kind of stupid
- 3:01Speaker 4: because Reagan did a lot of things that probably now
- 3:04Speaker 4: could be classified I mean, I don't want to say,
- 3:06Speaker 4: but could be clients fight his war crymes.
- 3:08Speaker 3: You know you were talking to two of your teachers
- 3:11Speaker 3: at school, yes, sir, and you said that you felt
- 3:14Speaker 3: that Reagan's a lot of what he did could be
- 3:16Speaker 3: wark rhymes, yes.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Sir, well, because look at what he did, like to
- 3:23Speaker 4: the Santa Anistas in Nicaraguay trying to wipe mountain. It's
- 3:26Speaker 4: really wrong for a cup like our two teachers, mister,
- 3:29Speaker 4: I mean Ms. Brandeis is our English cop teacher, mister Cope,
- 3:33Speaker 4: who's also our history teacher, who already most of the
- 3:37Speaker 4: kids here hate them anyway.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Because the kids at school hate these two teachers you're
- 3:43Speaker 3: talking about.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Or how come well because just because they're old. I mean,
- 3:48Speaker 4: it's really wrong for them to promote a president who
- 3:51Speaker 4: you know, did technically commit like war crimes against the
- 3:54Speaker 4: peoples of a lot of countries.
- 3:57Speaker 3: And well you're talking about work, you're talking about Reagan
- 4:00Speaker 3: war crimes. What do you mean specifically? I mean, give
- 4:02Speaker 3: me some specifics you got?
- 4:04Speaker 4: Well see that that's I mean, that's that's what a
- 4:06Speaker 4: lot of these teachers say. You know, what do you
- 4:07Speaker 4: mean specifically? I mean, what do you what do you
- 4:09Speaker 4: mean specifically?
- 4:10Speaker 3: And that's that's what Well, what I'm trying to get
- 4:12Speaker 3: at here, justin is you talk about admiring Clinton and
- 4:16Speaker 3: not Reagan.
- 4:16Speaker 2: You call Reagan a war criminal? Tell me what you're
- 4:19Speaker 2: talking about.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Well, I mean mister Cope, who is our English or
- 4:22Speaker 4: mister Cope's our European history teacher. He says all the time, Well,
- 4:26Speaker 4: what do you mean specifically? And I mean I said
- 4:28Speaker 4: to him, Uh, you know what I said to him
- 4:31Speaker 4: was because a lot of the kids here hate him anyway,
- 4:34Speaker 4: I said, well, specifically, I mean Cope is a dope,
- 4:37Speaker 4: you know, because that's a lot of the kids think.
- 4:40Speaker 3: No, I'm talking about I'm talking about Reagan. Okay, did
- 4:43Speaker 3: you say to your teacher you're a dope.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Well, mister Cope is always talking about like the last
- 4:49Speaker 4: days when Reagan died. He's always a Renald Reagan, Ronald Reagan,
- 4:53Speaker 4: you know. And I'm like, Cope is a dope. Cope
- 4:55Speaker 4: is a dope because everybody thinks he is. But I'm
- 4:57Speaker 4: just saying that. You know. One of the things he
- 4:59Speaker 4: ever did, like President Clinton, was he went on MTV.
- 5:03Speaker 4: He identified with the youth, you know, by being on MTV. Also,
- 5:07Speaker 4: I think we have to say that's the greatest that
- 5:09Speaker 4: the greatest invention in the twentieth centuries the PC computer,
- 5:12Speaker 4: and it elevated to its highest level, you know, of
- 5:15Speaker 4: acceptance during Clinton. And also there was no war during Clinton,
- 5:20Speaker 4: and also during Reagan they had Grenada. But you know,
- 5:23Speaker 4: and also President Clinton had like I guess you could
- 5:27Speaker 4: say attractiveness you know to women. I mean it was
- 5:29Speaker 4: probably bad, but you know, members of my generation kids
- 5:33Speaker 4: that I talked, he thought it was pretty cool that
- 5:34Speaker 4: he did. He did have you know, some side action
- 5:38Speaker 4: with that Lewinsky and people put that down. At least
- 5:40Speaker 4: he got some, you know.
- 5:42Speaker 2: So Clinton got some? Is it?
- 5:45Speaker 4: Well? I mean he wasn't like hung up. You know,
- 5:48Speaker 4: a lot of the people who say they like Reagan
- 5:50Speaker 4: are my you know, like sexually, are sick or twister
- 5:56Speaker 4: or anything on my parents. My mom who's in her forties,
- 5:59Speaker 4: still trying to look hot and her friends they come
- 6:02Speaker 4: over you although they work out a twenty four hour
- 6:04Speaker 4: fitness standing and well I.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Want to hear about your mother.
- 6:06Speaker 4: But what I'm saying here, no, I'm just saying that
- 6:09Speaker 4: my mom, you know, she admired Reagan too. She thinks
- 6:10Speaker 4: she's hot looking, and she comes over the house with
- 6:13Speaker 4: her friends and looks like Steer. It's for me, you know.
- 6:17Speaker 5: It.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Hit the critical them to talk like that.
- 6:23Speaker 3: So Clinton got some. That doesn't make him a great presidence.
- 6:25Speaker 3: What I'm saying he was unfaithful in his marriage, and
- 6:28Speaker 3: you think that's cool.
- 6:29Speaker 4: Can I just say something? Hold on.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Justin McElroy is a.
- 6:32Speaker 3: High school senior who just this coming year, who believes
- 6:37Speaker 3: his generation, young people, the teenagers of today, think President
- 6:42Speaker 3: Reagan was comparably speaking, nowhere near as good a president
- 6:46Speaker 3: as President Clinton. Now you're bringing up some things. You
- 6:49Speaker 3: mentioned there wasn't war during Clinton's time. You said that
- 6:52Speaker 3: Reagan had grenady, You said that the PC computer was elevated.
- 6:56Speaker 2: During Clinton's tenure.
- 7:00Speaker 3: You also mentioned that he got he had sex in
- 7:02Speaker 3: the White House, and that's something that you admire.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Well, I'm people don't vote for the president for him
- 7:07Speaker 4: to be you know, like Hank Kill or something. I mean,
- 7:11Speaker 4: they vote for him to do stuff. And Clinton did
- 7:12Speaker 4: all good things for the country, and Reagan got the
- 7:15Speaker 4: country in a lot of crap all the time. See
- 7:17Speaker 4: I'm I'm not trying to be disrespectful because I know
- 7:19Speaker 4: he's dead. But at our school, you know, they like,
- 7:23Speaker 4: for instance, asked for a moment of silence, and it
- 7:25Speaker 4: was my feeling politically that I couldn't do all moment
- 7:29Speaker 4: of silence for Reagan, who is a guy we don't
- 7:31Speaker 4: know much about, and what we do know it wasn't
- 7:33Speaker 4: that great. So we did a civil disobedience at our
- 7:36Speaker 4: school during that period.
- 7:38Speaker 2: When was that that was?
- 7:40Speaker 4: They wanted a moment of silence on Monday, asked for
- 7:42Speaker 4: a moment of silence for Reagan, and so I made
- 7:44Speaker 4: a like a you know, I made a fart sound
- 7:47Speaker 4: in the middle of it. They told me to report
- 7:48Speaker 4: to mister Atherton.
- 7:50Speaker 2: So you got into trouble.
- 7:51Speaker 3: You made it making a fart sound in the middle
- 7:53Speaker 3: of the moment of silence for President Reagan in retrospect,
- 7:59Speaker 3: justin you think that was the best way to deal
- 8:00Speaker 3: with that, Well.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I do.
- 8:03Speaker 6: Why because they're asking teenagers to have a moment of
- 8:09Speaker 6: silence for Reagan and no one likes him.
- 8:14Speaker 4: And our parents like him, you know, like my parents.
- 8:17Speaker 4: I hate my parents and a lot of kids do too.
- 8:21Speaker 3: And you hate your parents, you hate well, I mean,
- 8:24Speaker 3: they're just they're hypocrits, and they talk about Reagan.
- 8:27Speaker 4: You know, kittens no good. Kid's no good. And so.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Tell tell me what happened.
- 8:36Speaker 3: You were to ask to report to the Dean of discipline,
- 8:39Speaker 3: mister A mister Afton.
- 8:41Speaker 2: What did he do?
- 8:42Speaker 4: He told me, I basically, I had two weeks of
- 8:44Speaker 4: summer attention.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Don't you think that was disrespectful?
- 8:48Speaker 4: No, I wasn't. I mean, how do you see that
- 8:50Speaker 4: because you made.
- 8:51Speaker 3: That noise in the middle of a moment of silence
- 8:53Speaker 3: for President of Reagan A man, I guess that a
- 8:55Speaker 3: lot of your teachers admire.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Well, I mean, it's disrespectful, That's what I mean. It's disrespectful.
- 8:59Speaker 2: So if it's disrespectful for adults, it doesn't matter.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Well, when Bragan was president, a lot of the adults
- 9:05Speaker 4: now would say that they like him. When he was president,
- 9:09Speaker 4: they hated him, I mean, and they start now to
- 9:12Speaker 4: pretend like they like him. Well, back then, they hated him,
- 9:15Speaker 4: and they make the kids believe it. Let my mother
- 9:17Speaker 4: and my father came in with some of their friends
- 9:20Speaker 4: and she goes to twenty four hour fitness with him.
- 9:22Speaker 4: And they're in their forties. They think they're hot, living,
- 9:23Speaker 4: but they look like cows, I mean, and they're sitting
- 9:27Speaker 4: around talking about how they thought Reagan was handsome and
- 9:29Speaker 4: all this. And I said to my mom, so, in
- 9:31Speaker 4: other words, if if Reagan was alive, you, I mean,
- 9:35Speaker 4: I really think that it's sad to think that my
- 9:37Speaker 4: mother would probably if Braagan was alive, she'd let him
- 9:39Speaker 4: do her.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Even though are you talking to your mother like this? Man?
- 9:43Speaker 4: I mean, but this hipocrasy we're talking about.
- 9:46Speaker 2: And so you said to your mom, if Reagan was alive,
- 9:48Speaker 2: you'd probably let him, do you?
- 9:50Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I mean, you know, uh.
- 9:54Speaker 3: See to me that, how do you talk to somebody
- 9:56Speaker 3: like that, especially with your mother.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Because these people we are telling the kids of today, Yeah, Reagan, Reagan, Reagan, Reagan,
- 10:05Speaker 4: and everybody hated him, and at least in my class,
- 10:08Speaker 4: especially in my student advisory group, we talked about back
- 10:11Speaker 4: in May, before he's even died, how much we hated
- 10:14Speaker 4: him and how much Clinton was way better.
- 10:18Speaker 3: So what did you mean by that when you said
- 10:19Speaker 3: to your mother, for Reagan was alive, you'd probably do him.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Because all of our mothers, who were like in their
- 10:25Speaker 4: forties or thirties, they thought he was really hot and everything.
- 10:28Speaker 4: And most of the mothers that I know, especially my mom,
- 10:32Speaker 4: are sort of stupid when it comes to politics, so
- 10:35Speaker 4: they don't really know about politics. So when they say
- 10:37Speaker 4: they like Reagan, I mean they probably want to have him,
- 10:41Speaker 4: you know, do them and stuff and so you know,
- 10:44Speaker 4: and I said to her, you probably have Reagan, do you,
- 10:46Speaker 4: even though you're married to dad. And when he was alive,
- 10:50Speaker 4: when Reagan was alive, he looked like the mummy. Anyway,
- 10:52Speaker 4: I don't thought he's ugly. And I mean I told
- 10:54Speaker 4: my mother and that heard our friends or sex pegs.
- 10:58Speaker 3: All right, justin you're talking about your mother being a
- 11:01Speaker 3: sex pig and that she'd do Ronald Reagan if he
- 11:04Speaker 3: were alive. Don't Doesn't that give you any sadness that
- 11:08Speaker 3: you're feeling some this profound disrespect.
- 11:10Speaker 2: For your mother.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Forget about Reagan, No, sir, not why because he I
- 11:17Speaker 3: mean parents are liars.
- 11:19Speaker 4: I mean they lied, Like I said, most of them
- 11:21Speaker 4: said they hated Reagan. Now they like him at least
- 11:24Speaker 4: I like Clinton. I still like him even if he did,
- 11:27Speaker 4: you know, have sex with that pig.
- 11:29Speaker 3: The fact is that a lot of people and that's
- 11:31Speaker 3: how you refer to that woman that President Clinton allegedly
- 11:34Speaker 3: had sex with.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I'm sorry you refer to Monica Lewinsky as a pig.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I mean that's what she was.
- 11:41Speaker 7: She looked for.
- 11:44Speaker 4: It was horrifying.
- 11:46Speaker 3: I don't know whether I've got a cross section of
- 11:48Speaker 3: a typical teenager or not. But Justin McElroy is a
- 11:51Speaker 3: high school junior who has stated on our show that
- 11:54Speaker 3: today's teenagers are not all that enamored of President Reagan,
- 11:57Speaker 3: that they liked Clinton better, that the adult that like
- 12:00Speaker 3: Reagan are hypocrites because they hated him when he was president,
- 12:03Speaker 3: and that his mother, like other women, know so little
- 12:07Speaker 3: about politics. The only reason why they liked Reagan is quote,
- 12:11Speaker 3: they'd let him do them end quote. This is what
- 12:13Speaker 3: he said about his own mother, calling her and her
- 12:15Speaker 3: friend's sex pigs. Quite a disparity between the adults of
- 12:22Speaker 3: today and the youth of today in their view of
- 12:24Speaker 3: Ronald Reagan. Phil Henry Show, Phil Henry, Shall.
- 12:27Speaker 4: You flip a phone and a dread world better ready
- 12:29Speaker 4: and you pull back a bloody stuff?
- 12:36Speaker 5: The Phil Henry Show is Back with Me?
- 12:39Speaker 3: Is Justin McElroy on The Phil Henry Show. Justin is
- 12:42Speaker 3: seventeen year old, soon to be a high school senior.
- 12:45Speaker 3: And I don't want to say soon to be Justin.
- 12:46Speaker 3: I know you're in the middle of your summer and
- 12:48Speaker 3: join yourself.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Yeah, pretty much. We're at one of the arcades now.
- 12:56Speaker 4: My friends probably going to go over my friend's house
- 12:58Speaker 4: later on and like a halot festival, But right now
- 13:02Speaker 4: we're just gonna joining the summer.
- 13:04Speaker 3: You said some things, and I don't mean to call
- 13:06Speaker 3: you a son, but I don't want to be condescending,
- 13:08Speaker 3: but you said some things that have been critical of
- 13:10Speaker 3: your parents in a very ugly way. You called your
- 13:12Speaker 3: mother our friend's sex pigs, and that Reagan was a
- 13:17Speaker 3: war criminal. Do you feel like you have a lot
- 13:19Speaker 3: of anger in you?
- 13:23Speaker 4: No, not really. I mean, you know, you sound a
- 13:27Speaker 4: lot like our school counselor Miss Duffy, who's always talked
- 13:31Speaker 4: about how, you know, angry the kids are. You know,
- 13:35Speaker 4: I'm not angry. I'm just tired of hearing about Reagan, Reagan, Reagan, Reagan, Reagan.
- 13:39Speaker 4: I mean, the guy was whatever. I mean, you know,
- 13:43Speaker 4: he you know, Clinton was way better, and everybody knows that,
- 13:47Speaker 4: everybody who's my age. And because of the stuff that
- 13:51Speaker 4: we're into, I mean, we're totally into. But you know,
- 13:54Speaker 4: my whole thing is I really appreciate modern music and everything.
- 14:02Speaker 4: And I listened to you know, I think Fret Durston
- 14:05Speaker 4: new stuff is good, but it's kind of gay compared
- 14:08Speaker 4: to Limp Biscuit, and I think Lincoln Park still pretty much,
- 14:11Speaker 4: you know, expresses what everybody wants to talk about. And
- 14:15Speaker 4: you know, I think it. You know, like AFI is
- 14:19Speaker 4: a good band and and I just want to play
- 14:22Speaker 4: you know, you know, Grand Theft Auto and Halo and
- 14:27Speaker 4: get into like Final Fantasy and stuff. And I have
- 14:30Speaker 4: a bunch of adults come in with their sex pig
- 14:32Speaker 4: talk and bother me with it.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I gotta be honest me, I don't know what you
- 14:35Speaker 2: just said.
- 14:36Speaker 4: One hundred well, I mean that's not surprising, you know.
- 14:38Speaker 4: I mean, how many adults really want to understand kids?
- 14:40Speaker 3: You just got talking about Halo, Final Fantasy, AFI and
- 14:44Speaker 3: Lincoln Park and your mom and are sex pig friends?
- 14:47Speaker 2: And what's that got to do with Reagan? I don't know.
- 14:49Speaker 4: I'm just saying my mom and her friends are hounds.
- 14:51Speaker 4: I mean if they want to do Reagan, I mean
- 14:53Speaker 4: that's fine that you have to be a hound to
- 14:55Speaker 4: want to do him.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Your mother. Okay, hold on, I got to take a
- 15:00Speaker 2: call here. Let's go to Gwenn.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Hi, Gwen, you're on the Phil Henry Show with Justin
- 15:03Speaker 3: gwennyre there, she's gone.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Let's go over to Shan hih, you're on the Phil
- 15:10Speaker 2: Henry Show. Hi, yes, ma'am.
- 15:13Speaker 5: I think this is absolutely ridiculous. You are not the
- 15:16Speaker 5: spokesperson for all teenagers. I'm a substitute teacher. And uh
- 15:20Speaker 5: during this time of morning. For President Reagan, he was
- 15:23Speaker 5: not only an awesome president, but I want you to
- 15:25Speaker 5: remember something. This man was a movie star and in
- 15:28Speaker 5: his day and beyond he he is the match. He's
- 15:33Speaker 5: he's beyond Bill Clinton. You know, you just remember what
- 15:36Speaker 5: is now?
- 15:37Speaker 4: Which got to do with anything in a movie show?
- 15:39Speaker 5: They have a lot better to do with than what anything?
- 15:41Speaker 5: If you said at all.
- 15:44Speaker 4: With a monkey? He did a movie with a monkey.
- 15:47Speaker 8: Who would do?
- 15:48Speaker 5: What with a monkey?
- 15:49Speaker 4: Reagan? I mean he did a movie.
- 15:51Speaker 5: You know that. You don't even remember Reagan because he
- 15:54Speaker 5: said one good thing about him.
- 15:55Speaker 4: They said he did a movie with a monkey.
- 15:58Speaker 5: Okay, I tell you, I really think you're a moron.
- 16:01Speaker 5: I think you're calling justice.
- 16:03Speaker 4: I know, no, I know more about kids than you do.
- 16:06Speaker 9: So there you go, Oh, well, yeah.
- 16:08Speaker 5: That was just so smart. You know what I'm saying.
- 16:10Speaker 5: You know, you grow up as when you need to
- 16:12Speaker 5: call back on this show, will you get more intelligence?
- 16:15Speaker 5: As a matter of fact, are they sure you're supposed
- 16:17Speaker 5: to graduate next year? You need to go back a
- 16:20Speaker 5: few years and relearn. You don't even know history.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Oh do you? I know enough about Ronald Reagan. I
- 16:26Speaker 4: know the guy did like war crimes against the Santinezds,
- 16:29Speaker 4: anything that he's done. Roy body knows Clinton was a
- 16:32Speaker 4: better president anyway.
- 16:33Speaker 5: What I mean saying that the guy has done?
- 16:37Speaker 4: Hey, if all these sex pig women in their forties
- 16:39Speaker 4: want to have sex sex.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Big women, what about what about your your role model,
- 16:43Speaker 5: President Bill?
- 16:44Speaker 4: He's keeping it out in the open. He's not like
- 16:46Speaker 4: sneaking around behind my dad like my mom would.
- 16:48Speaker 9: You don't know anything, You.
- 16:51Speaker 5: Have no idea. Dude, you're messed up when you're a kid.
- 16:55Speaker 5: You're a holy seventeen year old that wishes you could
- 16:58Speaker 5: get it like Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan. And you
- 17:00Speaker 5: need to just go back in your bedroom and do
- 17:02Speaker 5: whatever you need to do.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Well, you know what, I guess if you like actors,
- 17:05Speaker 4: maybe you want Ray Ramono to run for president.
- 17:07Speaker 5: God, but that had to do with anything, It has
- 17:10Speaker 5: to do with intelligence. It was just something you would
- 17:14Speaker 5: not recognize at this point, as everyone on radio can tell.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Well, I know about Reagan to know that the guy
- 17:20Speaker 4: everybody says they like him, hated him when he was president.
- 17:23Speaker 4: And now that he's lied about what he's talking about Reagan,
- 17:28Speaker 4: he's a liar, really lie about He lied about everything
- 17:32Speaker 4: right about like.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Iran contract be specific, justin what do you lie about?
- 17:37Speaker 4: He talked about Iran? He lied about that. He lied
- 17:39Speaker 4: about like all of the North and everything. All that
- 17:43Speaker 4: was lies. All that something. You guys really stuck as
- 17:47Speaker 4: a teacher, You really must, because well you know what
- 17:50Speaker 4: you as a student, Well, yeah, I guess I would
- 17:53Speaker 4: if I had he was a teacher, Sure, I'd suck
- 17:55Speaker 4: as a student, you remind.
- 17:59Speaker 2: So it really doesn't matter.
- 18:00Speaker 5: What you what you think about me.
- 18:01Speaker 4: No, I don't want my teachers because they all suck
- 18:03Speaker 4: and also they don't know what they're talking about.
- 18:05Speaker 2: And look at justin.
- 18:06Speaker 3: How can you possibly be elected student a member of
- 18:09Speaker 3: the student council with an attitude towards your teacher?
- 18:12Speaker 4: Is it? Why am I supposed to respect my teachers
- 18:14Speaker 4: that they're if they're like sex bass and they suck.
- 18:17Speaker 4: And this lady like Coop the dope, you know, this
- 18:20Speaker 4: guy teaches his teacher that teaches history. So I go
- 18:23Speaker 4: Ron Reagan was really great and everything. And when I
- 18:25Speaker 4: stood up and I made a fart sound, okay, and
- 18:27Speaker 4: I'm sorry, but that was a political disobedient statement.
- 18:31Speaker 3: You made a fart sound in the middle of Yeah,
- 18:35Speaker 3: that's what.
- 18:35Speaker 2: You did, in the middle of the moment of silence

- 19:12Speaker 9: am an eighteen year old female college student of freshman
- 19:16Speaker 9: and I don't feel that you are at all speaking
- 19:20Speaker 9: for the majority of the student body, because I know
- 19:24Speaker 9: from my point of view and from my school, we
- 19:27Speaker 9: are in a state of mourning.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Actually, hold on for a minute because we're going into
- 19:30Speaker 3: commercial break, but I want to hold you over.

- 19:48Speaker 3: teenagers of today think. Cope the dope. You're listening to
- 19:51Speaker 3: the Phil Henry Show, Bill.

- 21:44Speaker 4: That's another one of my friends called me and telling
- 21:45Speaker 4: me I'm sounding good on the radio and saying everything
- 21:48Speaker 4: that has to be said.
- 21:50Speaker 9: You're saying that President Clinton was an amazing president, that
- 21:53Speaker 9: he was awesome and better than President Reagan. President Reagan
- 21:56Speaker 9: handed him a good country, a good economy.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Talking about President Bush was the president before Clinton. Oh
- 22:04Speaker 4: my god, you stupid. It wasn't Reagan. It was Bush.
- 22:08Speaker 2: What she's saying is that tee.
- 22:10Speaker 4: You even got to talk for? Because that's what I mean.
- 22:13Speaker 9: Why your friends call yourself on the radio.
- 22:19Speaker 4: You're talking about how good I sound and how you
- 22:21Speaker 4: sound stupid?
- 22:22Speaker 2: All right, let her finish her point.
- 22:25Speaker 8: Thank you. Anyways, you were no day able to take
- 22:31Speaker 8: to tell us to what the student bottom body are
- 22:34Speaker 8: feeling during this time of morning.
- 22:37Speaker 2: What is that?
- 22:38Speaker 4: Okay? Can you hear that? That's my mom and her
- 22:41Speaker 4: sex big friends listening to van Halen and dash it.
- 22:46Speaker 9: I mean, call your mother a step pick. Don't you
- 22:48Speaker 9: don't respect for the ladies labor and gave you life?
- 22:52Speaker 4: Oh my god, that's what she is. She's dancing at
- 22:54Speaker 4: van Halen all about oh Reagan, I do you? I
- 22:57Speaker 4: do you? And she's listened to David Lee Roth and
- 23:00Speaker 4: that guy is like Tony Robbins.
- 23:03Speaker 9: Ugly, you're such a horrible stereotype for la.
- 23:07Speaker 8: It's horrible.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Are you Your frat sisters are going to be making

- 23:22Speaker 9: You're a boy trying to say that people think the
- 23:26Speaker 9: president Higgins was a war criminal.
- 23:28Speaker 5: He was not a war criminal.
- 23:30Speaker 9: You have no idea what you're talking about.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Okay, do you know how sad it is to see
- 23:36Speaker 4: your mom wearing pants too tight in big heels.
- 23:39Speaker 9: It's really sad is to hear that seventeen year old
- 23:41Speaker 9: boys would rather play Halo and Final Fantasy than actually
- 23:46Speaker 9: learn something about politics. Because you know what's really sad
- 23:49Speaker 9: about that is that you're the future of America and
- 23:51Speaker 9: a year you're going to be voting and you're probably
- 23:53Speaker 9: gonna make little stuck with your circle that you bubble in.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Yeah, and you're such a woman, Ashley, but you're still
- 23:59Speaker 4: a virgin. Yeah.
- 24:01Speaker 8: Yeah, My sexual history has nothing to do with my
- 24:06Speaker 8: view on politics.
- 24:07Speaker 4: What are you talking about? Me being a boy? Okay?
- 24:09Speaker 4: Two times last year? All right, I'm not even gonna
- 24:11Speaker 4: say it, but I had to go to the doctor.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Okay, and good for you.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Man.
- 24:17Speaker 2: So you were dumb enough to have sex and get
- 24:19Speaker 2: a disease? Is that it?
- 24:20Speaker 4: Hey, Harry, just because your wife's probably one of these
- 24:23Speaker 4: sex picks.
- 24:24Speaker 3: All right, kids, Oh my god, you know something, man,
- 24:26Speaker 3: You're now you stepped over the line.
- 24:28Speaker 4: All right, well, yeah, because I called your wife the
- 24:29Speaker 4: sex pig, but I called my own mother sex pig,
- 24:32Speaker 4: and that's okay with you. You'll keep me on the air.
- 24:34Speaker 9: Okay, Now you're a shovenistick pig. Marshall right, you're the kick.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Oh my god, can you hear that? My own mother's.
- 24:40Speaker 9: Dancing the van Halen and people too, and then we
- 24:43Speaker 9: all pig.
- 24:44Speaker 4: What I mean, my mother, you have no person, Oh
- 24:49Speaker 4: my god, sex pick.
- 24:52Speaker 9: To have her own type of sexual preferences and that's
- 24:54Speaker 9: her decisions.
- 24:55Speaker 4: She's an adult.
- 24:56Speaker 5: You're a child.
- 24:57Speaker 4: She probably was. I told her she'd probably do Reagan
- 25:00Speaker 4: and my father would kill her.
- 25:04Speaker 9: Sound like you know nothing about PAULA Day.
- 25:08Speaker 4: Oh my god, do you hear that? I want to
- 25:10Speaker 4: I want to, like, look at you.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Take a break. All right, Ashley, thanks for your call.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Big deal. Your mother's dancing to van Halen.
- 25:20Speaker 4: What I'm saying is that an entire generation of kids
- 25:26Speaker 4: is being told that Reagan's so great and he sucked.
- 25:31Speaker 4: I mean, he just sucked, man, and President Clinton did
- 25:35Speaker 4: everything that was good.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Phil Henry Show, here is Joe. Go ahead, Joe, you're
- 25:42Speaker 2: on the Phil Henry show.
- 25:43Speaker 7: Hey, justin. First of all, you know I'm not one
- 25:48Speaker 7: to bash presidents and all, and yes that you're a hero.
- 25:51Speaker 7: President Clinton did did some good thing. Oh shut the
- 25:55Speaker 7: van Haley.
- 25:56Speaker 4: I've had to Hey, man, my mom's listened to. What
- 25:58Speaker 4: am I supposed to do? How about this?
- 26:01Speaker 7: Why don't you walk over and rip but fall it
- 26:04Speaker 7: out of the wall?
- 26:05Speaker 4: Oh yeah, so I'm supposed to be disrespectful to my mother.
- 26:08Speaker 4: Now I'll put the phone up to my room.
- 26:11Speaker 7: And you don't think calling your mom a sex pig
- 26:13Speaker 7: is disrespectful. I don't if she'll let you call her
- 26:16Speaker 7: a sex pig. I'm pretty sure she won't mind if
- 26:18Speaker 7: your ripped plugs out of the wall. But you'll drop
- 26:21Speaker 7: for a second.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Listen to him. My mom and her sex pig friends
- 26:25Speaker 4: were in. Listen to this.
- 26:26Speaker 7: Your hero is a yippie. Your hero is Bill Clinton. Yea,
- 26:35Speaker 7: let's look at this.
- 26:36Speaker 4: For a second.
- 26:37Speaker 7: He did some nice things for the country, but at
- 26:40Speaker 7: the same time he was a draft dodger. Your American hero.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Was a draft dodge.
- 26:45Speaker 7: So he when he was twenty one, he went over
- 26:48Speaker 7: to the Soviet Union right there in the middle of
- 26:51Speaker 7: the square bernt the United States flag and all his
- 26:55Speaker 7: buddies because he thought this was just so cool.
- 26:57Speaker 4: So what this is your American? Yeah?
- 27:01Speaker 7: So what where whereas a president like Ronald Reagan, who
- 27:05Speaker 7: did a lot of reform for this country and did
- 27:08Speaker 7: a lot of great things for this country, reformed a
- 27:11Speaker 7: lot of stuff. Bill Clinton wouldn't have known what to
- 27:15Speaker 7: do with this country.
- 27:16Speaker 4: Can I ask you that question?
- 27:18Speaker 7: Go ahead?
- 27:19Speaker 4: Okay, you're pretty old, So would you do? Nancy?
- 27:23Speaker 2: Don't answer that.
- 27:23Speaker 4: No, I'm answering, I'm I don't answer that.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Don't answer that question.
- 27:27Speaker 7: I don't I don't like wrinkle. You know that I
- 27:31Speaker 7: probably wouldn't do Nancy, and my wife.
- 27:33Speaker 4: Would probably get ja. Thanks. That's what I'm trying to say.
- 27:38Speaker 3: To say, you're not trying to say anything other than
- 27:41Speaker 3: to be utterly disrespectful and interest.
- 27:45Speaker 7: But you don't even know what you're talking about.
- 27:47Speaker 4: You're talking about man, I'm talking about Ronald Reagan. Everybody
- 27:50Speaker 4: tells us that we're supposed to be that, you know,
- 27:53Speaker 4: that we're supposed to be in love with this guy.
- 27:54Speaker 4: And Clinton was the greatest president everybody knows. And before Clinton,
- 27:58Speaker 4: I mean, there wasn't no Night eleven and Reagan.
- 28:02Speaker 7: You know, and your hero almost got impeached from the
- 28:06Speaker 7: office one step in peach.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Okay, you know what you got impeach? Why because you
- 28:12Speaker 4: did a fat girl whoa big national security violation?
- 28:17Speaker 7: Yeah, you responsibilities to get a piece of president.
- 28:22Speaker 4: He asked us to be silent for President Reagan. I
- 28:25Speaker 4: did this, and they told me to go to mister
- 28:28Speaker 4: Ackerman's office.
- 28:30Speaker 7: And I know I can understand the why you like Clinton.
- 28:34Speaker 4: You know what I don't tell you like the smoke.
- 28:36Speaker 4: If you want Nancy Reagan.
- 28:40Speaker 2: You know something something right now.
- 28:42Speaker 3: The teachers at your school must be imbeciles to have
- 28:45Speaker 3: a kid like you represent on the student council.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Hey, the students voted for me. Okay, my classmate's voted
- 28:51Speaker 4: for me.
- 28:52Speaker 2: It doesn't make any difference. If I was one of
- 28:53Speaker 2: your advisors there, i'd pulled you off for there.
- 28:56Speaker 7: If you were my son, I'd like an onmarn stept
- 29:00Speaker 7: what I said. If you were my son, I'd be
- 29:04Speaker 7: like an unborn check. So why don't you go ahead
- 29:08Speaker 7: and jump do whatever you want to do? List my piece?
- 29:13Speaker 4: Okay, but listen to what my mother and her friends
- 29:15Speaker 4: are doing right now.
- 29:17Speaker 7: That's what your mother and your friends are doing. It's
- 29:19Speaker 7: probably my mother.
- 29:21Speaker 4: And my friends. One dollars. It's my mother and her friends.
- 29:24Speaker 4: And this is the way the rooms.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Whatever about what You're an idiot kid.
- 29:32Speaker 7: Go back to research your history before you go ahead
- 29:36Speaker 7: and say things because everything is coming out of your mouth.
- 29:40Speaker 7: Didn't even go through your brain before it came out.
- 29:43Speaker 4: Okay, but you can't name one thing Reagan did.
- 29:45Speaker 2: He just did.
- 29:47Speaker 7: He reforms Medicare, He reformed Medicaid.
- 29:51Speaker 11: He read.
- 29:53Speaker 4: In the United States.
- 29:57Speaker 7: What this guy than I do? How would have done?
- 30:07Speaker 6: This?
- 30:07Speaker 2: Cat's mom ail radio. He's a moron. I'm sorry, Joe,
- 30:10Speaker 2: I apologize, Thank you very much.
- 30:13Speaker 4: Later.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Yeah, my mom and her friends are having a pig party.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Good lord, Phil Hendy Schelle.

- 30:36Speaker 12: of listening to me from Amlan an old woman. I
- 30:39Speaker 12: realize you're a young man. You have a right to
- 30:42Speaker 12: say you're safe. However, I wonder why you don't have
- 30:46Speaker 12: any respect for anybody. Your views on Clinton, your views,
- 30:51Speaker 12: I'm Reagan, those are your views. Nobody can challenge them.
- 30:55Speaker 12: But you seem to have a chip on your shoulder.
- 30:57Speaker 12: You seem to hate everybody. You talk so hatefully about
- 31:01Speaker 12: your parents, your teachers. I just wonder you must have
- 31:06Speaker 12: a problem of some sort.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I love I'll tell you. I have
- 31:12Speaker 4: my grandparents, my my open oma, who live out in
- 31:16Speaker 4: Palm Springs. I love them a lot and I go
- 31:18Speaker 4: see them, and sister, my mother is such a pig.
- 31:20Speaker 12: But you know, I don't.
- 31:23Speaker 4: I love my grandparents a lot, but they my mom.
- 31:29Speaker 4: They must be really disappointed in her because she's like
- 31:31Speaker 4: a sex pig and stuff.
- 31:33Speaker 12: Well I don't know what you mean by death.
- 31:36Speaker 4: But a sex things all. She's all walking around and
- 31:39Speaker 4: like her tights, and she thinks she's hot and she
- 31:40Speaker 4: looks like a beast.
- 31:42Speaker 12: What about your father.
- 31:43Speaker 4: Well, he's like gone a lot and everything. I wish
- 31:46Speaker 4: they could go see my grandparents more often.
- 31:48Speaker 12: Well why don't you ask your parents if you go
- 31:50Speaker 12: see them? And I hope they're listening to this program.
- 31:53Speaker 4: Yeah, oh, if you're listening, I really love you a lot.
- 31:56Speaker 4: I miss you a lot. My my grandfather was in
- 31:58Speaker 4: World War Two. He's I'm love to ty hear him talk.
- 32:01Speaker 4: But my dad's an idiot. He's such a moron, so stupid.
- 32:04Speaker 4: One time I took his car out and I smashed
- 32:06Speaker 4: it up, and I told him like this black guy
- 32:08Speaker 4: did it, and he believed it.
- 32:09Speaker 12: You know, uh man, I think it's just typical young people.
- 32:13Speaker 12: Dowdays seem to so many things.
- 32:18Speaker 4: You know, you don't have no parents, like like you
- 32:20Speaker 4: were really good parents, probably to your generation because you
- 32:22Speaker 4: guys were World War Two. But the parents we got
- 32:25Speaker 4: now they're disgusting. Well, you know what, I think I
- 32:28Speaker 4: want to sometimes I want to commit suicide. Well, you know,
- 32:31Speaker 4: let me, I really do. I want to kill myself.
- 32:33Speaker 12: Well, that's rather silly. You're a young man and you'll
- 32:36Speaker 12: have your whole life ahead of you at the world.
- 32:40Speaker 4: I just missed my grandparents.
- 32:42Speaker 12: Well, good that you have.
- 32:46Speaker 4: I want to go visit them because my father's an idiot.
- 32:48Speaker 4: My mother's well, you.
- 32:49Speaker 12: Know what, my mother aren't your parents, And.
- 32:54Speaker 4: I think I will because my mom is like a
- 32:55Speaker 4: walking but a wing petri dish of venereal disease.
- 33:00Speaker 6: Me.
- 33:01Speaker 12: You know, you have your whole life ahead of you,
- 33:04Speaker 12: but your life to be what you make if you
- 33:07Speaker 12: go around every body. Nobody respond to you.
- 33:11Speaker 4: That's true, one of my man.
- 33:17Speaker 11: You're right, he doesn't want to forget about it because
- 33:20Speaker 11: nobody will believe what you did in a grocery store.
- 33:23Speaker 11: If you are in a grocery store and some people
- 33:25Speaker 11: I have you and they ask you, you know, oh my god,
- 33:27Speaker 11: I forgot you know, my bread, or I forgot my mind?
- 33:30Speaker 11: Could you please hold on?
- 33:31Speaker 4: You know my life?
- 33:33Speaker 11: You will say, Okay, people are me jam People are
- 33:38Speaker 11: not all the same. People are different. Maybe you can
- 33:41Speaker 11: hold yourself for thirty six hours or forty eight hours.
- 33:44Speaker 11: Some people they cannot hold themselves for two hours. You
- 33:47Speaker 11: don't know if that or even if he's young person.
- 33:51Speaker 11: You know, maybe he's a teenager, maybe he's a young woman,
- 33:54Speaker 11: whatever she is. You don't know if they want to
- 33:56Speaker 11: the bathroom first door.
- 33:57Speaker 4: People with people you place, they are foreigners, no American,
- 34:05Speaker 4: no American, asher the whole the place line.
- 34:07Speaker 11: Let that person to go. You don't know whether you
- 34:10Speaker 11: know why he has He's not gonna go have fun
- 34:12Speaker 11: there in a bathroom. He wanted to go to the
- 34:14Speaker 11: bathroom because he has to go to the bathroom.
- 34:16Speaker 4: I didn't keep him from going to the bathroom, but
- 34:18Speaker 4: I'm not going to hold his place in line for
- 34:24Speaker 4: using the toilet degrades the human species.
- 34:28Speaker 11: The public bathroom. It's for public people or for people
- 34:30Speaker 11: who need to go to the bathroom. Otherwise, nobody like
- 34:33Speaker 11: to go to the bablic bathroom because a lot of
- 34:35Speaker 11: time is nasty.
- 34:36Speaker 4: Is dirty. That's exactly right, That's exactly my point. So
- 34:39Speaker 4: why don't you wait until you go to the room.
- 34:42Speaker 11: Somebody they wanted to go to the Jersey bathroom. That
- 34:45Speaker 11: means they forced to go to the Jersey bathroom.
- 34:47Speaker 4: Well, if you were dirty, you feel pretty sorry for you.
- 34:53Speaker 11: Otherwise, nobody wanted to go to Some places are dirty
- 34:56Speaker 11: and toping. But this old person, I'm so sorry for him.
- 35:00Speaker 4: You're ill, right, you know, I don't know you had
- 35:06Speaker 4: and and and and a loaf of bread and all
- 35:08Speaker 4: kinds of stuff that would create an enormous amount of
- 35:11Speaker 4: need to you know what.
- 35:13Speaker 11: I'm a shame when I hear somebody like you.
- 35:15Speaker 4: You know, I'm a here. I figure just turn your husband,
- 35:18Speaker 4: I call you down here.
- 35:19Speaker 11: I wasn't born here, I was born I'm sad because
- 35:23Speaker 11: we have people like you. We thought we have a
- 35:25Speaker 11: brain here. We have to be a free here we
- 35:28Speaker 11: have to I am free.
- 35:31Speaker 4: That means I don't have to hold your space line.
- 35:34Speaker 4: You'll go back to get yourself as some other Italian clue.
- 35:39Speaker 6: What are you doing?
- 35:40Speaker 1: And what you just to that old man?
- 35:42Speaker 11: And yet I one day you will be and you
- 35:44Speaker 11: have to play.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Then you will realize.
- 35:47Speaker 4: A blase and go back to the block. What the
- 35:50Speaker 4: hell you can you can drive them in the heart
- 35:53Speaker 4: places for the You go there, you go to the
- 35:58Speaker 4: living human being. She doesn't want me to go to
- 36:03Speaker 4: the bathroom. She wants me to go to the bathroom
- 36:05Speaker 4: in public. And if she's that kind of a person,
- 36:08Speaker 4: that's her business. But being from Italy, where she's from,
- 36:12Speaker 4: or wherever, she probably eats large chunks of tea, the
- 36:15Speaker 4: cheese and provolone, it probably blocks her up very nicely.
- 36:19Speaker 4: So don't start talking to me.
- 36:21Speaker 11: How how much maybe taken a lot of.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Thank you, Anne, thank you.
- 36:28Speaker 3: But your point, obviously, doctor, is that people should anticipate.
