- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: Jamie, just some brother.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: What about brother?
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: Oh man, that was good.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: That was too good.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good, that's a good, yes sir.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited, I'm excited for this interview because a lot of times, you know, people are trying to figure out how to get to the next level, a lot of businesses fail because they don't have access to funding.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: And so I want to talk a little bit about how they could get access to funding, especially right?
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: You're able to do it within 24 to
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: foot to 72 hours is powerful.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: But what I'm intrigued about the both is your story, right?
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of times, people don't know about transitioning from the nine to five world into entrepreneurship and they're scared, right?
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: Especially now, you think about AI taking over and all these things and how can you actually do it?
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: I love your story and I'm like, I give too much of it of about it.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: But I love your story because you were able to do both.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then be able to, you know, comfortably leave your nine or five, and so I'm excited about this conversation.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: But before we start, for those who don't know,
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: And your words, who is Jamappy Joseph Tapper?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: Man, again, my name is Jamappy Tapper.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: Born and raised in the Bronx, six siblings, listen, we welfare stacked, right?
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: I had a single mother, we welfare stacked, we have food stamps, section eight, and we have public assistance, and man, throw the beyond, it's always been entrepreneur, but didn't know it, right?
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: 14, I started packing bags, did not transition to working in the restaurants,
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: and then obviously going to corporate America.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: But one thing that stood out to me was with restaurants, the number one thing people could see was what?
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: Food, right?
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: I learned quickly from the body language, right?
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: What they like and what they didn't like, which helped me transition over the sales.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: So obviously, once I got over the sales, being one of, you know, working in a Fortune 17 company, best in class sales, I quickly became one of the top sales reps in my space through every level.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: But like I tell people, every level you go up, you lose a party yourself, right?
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: You give up something, you have to give up something and go up.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: And man, I just got sick and tired of being sick and tired and I was able to transition over to entrepreneurship.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: So a couple of days, I want to unpack.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: So what are the things?
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: And we talk behind the scenes, you know, we just celebrate or you just celebrated a milestone in your entrepreneurship journey.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: of being able to generate over six figures in a day and one day, right, which is, which is so, so powerful.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: And especially as somebody who grew up low income for you to say, you know, welfare stack and man, that's another level.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: Take me back, right, take me to the Bronx, take me to, are you the youngest of six?
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm actually the middle child.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, sure, the middle child.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: Six siblings, single parent, so it's your mom.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: Talk about that experience, because it's, I did that identical, but it's almost similar because I'm the youngest of, I'm the youngest, but I'm the youngest of three, I grew up in a project by a group, single parent home, and I spent a pack of bags of eight years old.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: So that's how I got into hardship and leadership as well.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: like how was it growing up with six siblings, single parent?
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: And for sure, for sure.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: So obviously, man, my father, he wasn't around, but he was close.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: He lived in Brooklyn.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and we had three different, like, so my little sister is my little brother and little sister's had their own father.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: Me and my brother had our father, and then my older sister had our father.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: So my little brother's a little sister.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: They, they father been in our lives from when I was two to like maybe nine.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_01]: And then he transitioned, he left, but he came nuts.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: I remember the day it was July 4th.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: He came nuts on July 4th.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: He was like, listen, me and your mother is not going to be together.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: And I got a transition.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: I knew life was going to be hard.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: I knew it was going to be harder, right?
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: So when he left, things quickly became home.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: My mom, she kind of spiraled into alcohol.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: And we started to go in and out of the system.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: But we always go on different places.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_01]: So me and my brother luckily got his good.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: We always went together.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: Me and my brother and then it was my little brother.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: And a little sister's went to a different fall, so we went to a different fall, so home.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: And then from there, this is where we quickly learn how to survive, right?
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: Because when you get in these places, people are smiling, but when the door closed, they quickly switch up on you.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: So from there, man, we learn how to travel.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: We learn how to do all these things.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: Because our fall, some of what she used to do was put us out, and she couldn't come back into the house until she came from work.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_01]: So we come in from school, 2 p.m.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: She don't get back to six, seven.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: So now we travel in on the trains, we in a block, we're doing, we doing knocking on people doors, running down the hallways and the projects you know I'm saying.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: So we quickly had to grow fast.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: So when we got back home to my mother, right?
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: My little sister's in them, they never was able to even come back.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wow.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: They never was able to even come back.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: So they transitioned, I'm just now getting to know my little sister's now.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I'm just now getting to know both my little sis is because they just, they will basically, you could say brain wash, they be honest like they would told my mother was his bad person, but I look at my mother and they stay in and if with their first appearance.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: stood with the force of parents to the point like they were adopted, you know, I'm saying so because they didn't know they were taking that a young age, but me and my brothers, we knew our mother, right?
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: She was a great person.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: She just fell into alcohol because it was hard being a single mother.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm a father and I have a, you know, I have a fiance and I have two sons and I know it's still hard, right?
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: So imagine her with growing boys growing girls, you know, I'm saying, so like what it did was it helped us to transition and help me to realize like, nobody was coming to save us.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: I quickly got it went into packing bags.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: And how it started is we used to sit in front of the, we sit in front of the supermarket and ask people can we help them with their bags to the car to make money?
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: But we would come back, you know, by the end of the day sitting in front of the supermarket, crackin' or you tell them a joke and all day, we would come back with four or five dollars, we like you say it enough, man.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: And then one day we came across his cave was alone.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: He had a broken arm, man.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_01]: We call him Debo, his name is, we call him Debo.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: But he was like, man, you should try packing bags.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's way more money.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: Man, as soon as we got in the packing bags, we coming back home with $40.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: $50, $60.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: And then we used to take breaks.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you would go to Bay Plaza, Pack bags, and Pathmont.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: We would take breaks and go eat pizza.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going on a break.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Now I see you, I come back then.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: Then we'll come back.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like that entrepreneur ship was always in me.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't on me.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like it was something I had to do.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: And then freedom, though, takes into that freedom.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: 100%, 100% man.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: We used to travel on a 12 bus up and down to go pack bags
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: And then quickly became a teenager, obviously the streets, obviously started to play a big fact in my life and started working downtown, started working downtown and Ruby Tuesdays man, and that changed my life because I quickly noticed that I was a product of my environment.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: Every word that came on my mouth was, nigga, this, that.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: So when I got downtown and I'm working with people that didn't look like new white people,
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'd never gravitated to me.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: So now I'm like, man, how do I become a, how do I learn how to speak to everybody?
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: How do I learn how to articulate to anyone, whether they white, Chinese, whatever Spanish?
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: So what I do is I left off to college.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_01]: I went away to college and quickly, you know, my roommate, he was a big time soccer player.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so he was a girl's galo, yeah, it was like he had so many girls that I had to adjust and these are white girls.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_01]: These were Chinese girls.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I had to adjust and learn how to speak to people.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: So time I left from school that first semester and went back to work.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm the guy because now I know how to speak.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm hanging out with them.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: That ain't inviting me places.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm going out to drink with them.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: Now we going to parties.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: Now, waking up to some of the houses, you know what I'm saying?
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: So, it quickly helped me to grow and it made me a better communicator being in those environments because I was no longer a product of my neighborhood because I stopped hanging out on my neighborhood, I stopped hanging out on my friends.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: So, it was always your use to do this, you used to do that.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: So, now, I labeled those people as they used to people, right?
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: Because I know I, in order for me to go up, I had to let go of something for sure.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: And now it was part of me that I like go when I started to transition.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: And if I hear you correctly, the beginning of your success, if you will, was was was number one, expanding the mindset, getting rid of of of of old processes and and the people around you,
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, and then to now take me into corporate America, so now, you know, you're in corporate America, um, you know, you know, you talk to me about about that.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I started working in restaurants, right, and the late nights were getting to me, man, you ice working time squared.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: You said, you know what that is, you know, trains at the late, you're not getting home to three, four.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: I am for sure.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: So the late nights were getting to me.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: I had a son, my first son, his name is Noah.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, I think, at the time, I was maybe like 21, 22, I had my first son.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, all right, man, I got to make a transition.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, okay, I had a friend.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: He worked in Verizon.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, oh man, come through the Verizon.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: You can make this amount of money for you.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, all right, Lance, we set up an interview for me.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: I got in the interview, I could never forget because this got hired me on every single level and level of a rising, right?
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: His name was Samir.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, man, what are y'all making?
- 13:32[SPEAKER_01]: Because I'm coming from serving.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: I make it 300, three, two, three hundred dollars a night.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, man, I need that fast money.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm going over to corporate America now.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: So now, end up in the stores in Verizon,
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: And, man, it was hard at first because I'm getting paid every two weeks now.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not making the same kind of money, but I'm going 100% over exerted myself because of sales.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm competitive.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: I come from a competitive background.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: So now I'm in sales.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm one of the top sales guys my first year.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: I go to win a circle.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: So that's top 10% in the nation in sales.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, all right, cool.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: I got something here.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't the second year COVID happens.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: So now, I'm home.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: We're working from the computer and all that.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: So now I'm like, man, I'm working from the computer.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm selling sneakers now.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm resellant sneakers.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm doing well to the point that I'm selling the athletes.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm selling the football players and the NBA players, everything, right?
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I quickly learn entrepreneurship just from that direct COVID and just sitting now and analyzing them.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I started to watch EYL.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: I started to watch all these guys come up.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: And then the guy who stood out to me was him 500.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: I can't forget because I seen him on a jet for a million hours, where I was for a game.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, what is this guy?
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: Why is he on a jet?
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: Why is he talking credit?
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: And me, at this time, I'm maxed out on my car, and sell his sneakers.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, he's talking about, it don't show on your report.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's lying.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: Let me go figure this out now.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: So now I'm going, I'm going basically, I'm going, start to, you know, study.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, all right, business credit don't show up when your person will report.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, all right, cool, let me go in the business credit now and leverage business credit and leverage business that way, right?
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: And it helped me because I ended up being able to sell on my inventory and I wasn't in debt anymore.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_01]: And then from then with COVID ended, we back at work.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: But now you know, I work, everybody got anxiety problems, anybody's in tune with their feelings now.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody got sick days, everybody got it all, right?
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: So now we get back to, we get back to, um,
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: Corporate America, man, and I'm like, yo, I'm, I'm disgruntled because now my entrepreneur spirit is not clicking them on back at work full-time.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: I can't sell sneakers like I used to, I can't do what I used to do.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, hi, cool, I got to get promoted, man.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: So I got promoted as a business account manager.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I ended up getting promoted to your town, man.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: I got promoted to Harlem, right?
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: I got promoted to Harlem, and
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: It was considered the punishment store.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: Like, everybody got to pick the location they became an account manager and put me.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: So now I'm mad and I'm competitive.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, I can't make this a number one location in the nation.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: First three months in a row, number one, number one.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's number one.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, all right, cool, now everybody noticed me because this store was a store.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody ever wanted.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: And now I'm there account manager, Harlem.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: Harlem's no-for-fraud.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's no-for.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: All of this, you know, fast talker, right.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: But me, I'm from the Bronx.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: I already understand it.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I took over Harlem quickly, brought them up.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: Then I was promoted downtown to, I was promoted downtown the time squid.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: So now working with like, you know, these celebrities are coming to the store.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, all these guys, I'm working with all these guys and quickly blew that store up as well.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: And was promoted to a senior town manager.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: So now I was working with small business at first.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's one, that's the one to 10 range of employees.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, now I went from
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: 20 plus, 20 to 100 employees now, right?
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, I'm a senior account manager.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: Now I take over Newark, New Jersey.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: But at this point, you know, I saved up what my money and I ended up investing into, I ended up investing into what three family house, which I leverage business credit for, what we're going to get into that, right?
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: But I leverage business credit to going to a three family house.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: So now I'm in Newark, I took over Newark as an account manager.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: quickly became the number one guy in New Jersey.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: Nice.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I ended up going to President's cabinet or Diamond Club at the time they called it Diamond Club.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: I ended up going to Hawaii.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: In Hawaii, I was recruited to be a senior manager now in Massachusetts.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: So all this time, think about it, right?
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: I got it, wife.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: I got a son on the way.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think he came while he was in Jersey, but she's following the everywhere.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_01]: She trusts me.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like we go in, right?
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: We go in.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I went from New York to New Jersey.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: Now I get promoted as a senior manager of the Massachusetts.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: which was the worst place in the nation.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, there.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: But we quickly, we quickly, she put together a great team.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: We made it number one.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_01]: We were number one more.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like every month I was there.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: We were number one.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: But what I quickly realized is that they would a worst place in the nation because of leader.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: It was a one, one female.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: She was just a terrible leader.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: She didn't know how to work with Superstars.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: I was considered the Superstars.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody who came in and changed their environment, changed their room.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: So, I remember this one day, man, this is when I started to entrepreneur should click that, click back in my mind.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: She was like, listen, I had 16 stores in Massachusetts.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: She said, I need you to go to every store and make sure the business board is set up.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, fuck, no, I'm not doing that.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: Well, no, I'm not doing that.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: So when she said that, I'm like, I really got to do that.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: She like, yeah, I'm like, not hell, no.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: So that's when it started.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: My mind started to ship back to entrepreneurship.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, okay, what do I need to do, man?
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: I need to pay somebody.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: But like any average American, I had less than a thousand dollars in my account.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: I was making money, but it was going out towards bills, it was going out towards life.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_01]: So what I did was I pulled out of my phone on K and invested into mentorship.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: I sat and analyzed everybody in the market, everybody, everybody, you know, everybody's talking that talk, but then I found the right person, I invested and I was able to change my life.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: I was able to just take my life to that next level.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sure.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: And so now, so...
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's a lot of unpack.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, you're like, a lot like the unpack, but I'm happy that you kind of paid that picture because a lot of times we have the people who watch the show are inside us who are working on a five who also want to get into entrepreneurship and they don't know how to do it.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: But for you, you were able to get some money.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: invest in a mentor what made you what made you go with that right because normally when I hear people or you know took money from their phone on k or they borrow money or whatever normally it's to pay a bill normally it's to invest in the business or do something but you say look I'm gonna find a mentor like what what made you go to mentor your first
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: because I knew that it had to work, man.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_01]: I knew that I knew that working this corporate job, man, I gained so much weight.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: I was losing myself.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: I was coming back to my wife.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_01]: I was saying, you're listening.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm number one in the nation.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's sales.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: And she was like, you last place at home.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, she's like, he lasts place at home.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, your kids don't know you could men in to this.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: And then I had to sit back and realize we went from New York, New Jersey, to Massachusetts.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I kept telling them it's for them.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: But I lied, that was for the company.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: So they had, it had a hold on me and a corporate hold.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: Man, this stigma on me, that I'm like, man, I gotta be the best I gotta do this.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_01]: I gotta commit.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, what I realized is that it wasn't doing anything for me, I had nothing in my savings account.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: My kids didn't know me.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: My son is more interested in what his mother was doing.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: So now I'm like, man, what am I doing wrong?
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I sat back and I analyzed the market.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, what am I good at?
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, man, credit has always been my thing.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_01]: Since the pandemic, I've been doing credit.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: I've been paying attention to credit.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_01]: I analyzed it.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: I was teaching my family during the pandemic.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: I was getting them.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_01]: A Max Platinum cards, A Max Gold cards.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: I was a guy to go to, guy.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, let me study the market, man.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: And I think I just went on a marvellous while one night.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: I said, drive for Massachusetts, the New York to take my kids to see the grandmother and everything.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: They hang out with her for the weekend and I used to listen to just mom and friends while I was listening to all these podcasts, your podcasts, hearing your legions, right?
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, man, I could do this.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm repeating everything that's saying.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I'm repeating this.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: I said, man, I'm going to know these guys in a little bit, right?
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I just found, I found the mentor and I was like, okay, man, I joined this five-day mentor ship.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: and he changed my life.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: I only needed to go on one.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, okay, he's showy because he was speaking to the future me.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: He was speaking to the car me.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, you're going to be him.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you're going to be him, but you got to commit.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: And he got to do it now.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I said, man, I analyzed everything.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I was just like, this is the guy.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I paid him.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: I paid those Darius, Darius Benders, yeah, so it was my guy, man, yeah, I paid them and man quickly, man, I started to make my money because I wasn't an environment where like my name and the visuals, but they weren't, they didn't want to run the play.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: So now the biggest play is the mentorship, they paying me because I had the confidence to go running and I already had that corporate structure.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: So all I did was implement my corporate structure in my day to day, so I was a lot more disciplined that everybody in the rumor right?
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: So it was easy for me because I came from B to B cells.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: We prospect in the morning.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: I managed my clientele.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: It was always about building our relationship with your clientele to continue to keep going.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: Because the goal was to make your clientele pay you again and again and again and again.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: So it's about building conversations, figuring out what they value, and making sure you twist it and make sure they're valuing something.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, valuing what you're about to give them, and you value it as well.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_01]: Both parties have the benefit.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: So I quickly picked up that skill and it helped me in the front in the street.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I love that as well.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: And so did you, did you obediently, you immediately quit your job after each of the phone one night?
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: He stood there like, well, all right, so what I did was, all right, cool, this is October, right?
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: So October 28th, I committed to the mentorship, first commit mentorship, 7500.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_01]: 7,500 if you pay in 4,000, one of the first to commit, now they have an in person event, the two weeks later, November 8th or something like that.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, hi, man, I'm going to go down to Atlanta.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: I get down to Atlanta, I see these Lamborghinis, I see all of these guys, I'm like, these guys are like, me, I ain't never seen a Lamborghini in my neighborhood, right?
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't never seen a rose wear in my neighborhood, I ain't never seen guys like me, that's talking about they make it millions of dollars.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: So now I'm intrigued now, I'm like, it was different from them than me.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it was different, I need to know because I got that dog too, right?
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I quickly understood, I was like, okay, they committed, they took action, yeah, they took action on their life.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: So I went literally, I flew down that week,
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: I put my own leaving.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: I went on leave.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: I said, oh, I got to build the business.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: But I needed that.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: I had that scarcity thinking, man, I still needed the company.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I went on leave.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I started to build the business and I quickly had strides.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I think the first 10 weeks, I made 100 grand.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, yo, I'm making, I'm like, I'm in corporate America.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in England.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I, well, I, well, I'm graduate.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm graduate.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm, well, yeah.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: So you, so,
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: instead of quitting the job, right, it's an quitting your job.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: And how much were you making a year at your job?
- 24:09[SPEAKER_00]: I was making it around 200 grand.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_00]: I have to, like, with commissions, 100,000.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: So $200,000 a year at your job at the commissions.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: You were, even with making that money, right?
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: You realized, like, wife, wifey, like, listen, you, you, you losing that hole.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: You realizing your sons can't, you know, or aren't spending time with daddy and you're like, all right, that's why I gotta make some happen.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not gonna quit this 200,000 dollar job.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna take a leave of absence, but I'm gonna believe in myself enough to invest in myself to go out and take this mentorship and I'm gonna learn everything I need to learn to run this business and within 10 weeks,
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we made $100,000.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: Made $100,000 in two weeks, yeah, yeah.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so we put the work in, and I was literally every day, giving offers.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, making 50 offers a day.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're going Instagram.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I will make, I'll make offers until they stop me from the DMs.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: I can't sit on more messages.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: Then I'm going over the Facebook groups now, and I'm telling people on Entrepreneur Groups what I do, how I can help them give.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: money.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: Now, yeah, no, they a lot of people said no, but no, he's next opportunity.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: And also, too, what I did was I planted the sea for a lot of people, because a lot of people spend the block and came back to me.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: So now what I did was I planted the sea.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, when we planted sea, when I expected to plant the growth of next day, we're going to keep water in it.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I kept going on these groups, man.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: I kept going on these groups.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: And so I started to have a bunch of clientele.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm putting them in the CRM and I'm nurturing them.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm giving them newsletters.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm telling them what's coming up.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm posting wins of clients and I'm posting a picture.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: You know, an accident for their permission, I'm posting their pictures and sending out email blasts.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: We just help this business only get 100,000.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: We just help this business only get 200,000.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: So it quickly helped me grow through the ranks.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: And it helped me to stand out from all my peers in my space.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: because I had that corporate structure already.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: I had that discipline.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: I knew how to source clients.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: So it came to me quick, man.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I was a little different than a lot of people.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: Because I always tell people, right?
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: These big influences.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: They have millions of followers.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to figure out how to make your followers give you $1.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: If you figure out how to make all your followers give you $1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: So at the end of the ride, I'm like, I told you I was coming back.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know anybody who will benefit from my services?
- 26:40[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, I do.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: All right, cool, sit in the moment.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_01]: Then I'm maxing at person to send me some money.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: As long as I earn the right, but I'm an expert, I am rightfully so.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: But if I don't earn the right, I'm not going actually for it.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: So that was the difference.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_01]: I quickly knew in this space a lot of people couldn't deliver.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: It can't deliver.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, think, the hot, the popular, that's cool, but I was delivering.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: I was delivering.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: Now I love that.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: So now let's break it down for us, right?
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, now you may 100,000 for 10 weeks.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: What was your offer?
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: What were you offering clients that I was offering?
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: Zero percent interest funding that first right then I quickly Transition into DSER loans.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: We were offering so we started to broke a DSER loans and then we slaughtered the SER loan.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: So it's basically It's basically a debt service coverage loan.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: So basically let's say for instance, if you are entrepreneur and you're looking to invest in an investment property You're looking to buy a investment property
- 27:37[SPEAKER_01]: the rent has to outweigh the amount of money you make and rent has to outweigh with the mortgages.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: Boy, could qualify.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: So you don't have to come with any documentation.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to come with any paperwork or anything.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: The rent just has to outweigh with the loneliness.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, gosh, you got you.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: So DSEO is is that based on
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: credit credit still plays a fact don't you have to have a 60 or buff credit still plays a factor But it's it's not based off you haven't got tax documentation What you make a year is can the property sustain on it's all in order for us to give you an order for us to give you that long So we quickly started to broken deals with that and then we started to broken deals or merchant cash advances because one thing I learned about a lot of business owners is they need it now no opportunity these
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: If something break down in your store, you need it fixed right in and there.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: So I will offer our merchant cash events if you didn't have the best credit.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: Now, a merchant cash event, it comes in two forms.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: It could come in a weekly payment or daily payment.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: But it was for people who had bad credit.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: But guess what?
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: The interest rates are pretty steep.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: But I tell people it pays to have good credit.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: You have to have good credit.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: It pays that good credit.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's not you're going you won't pay Regardless you know in life you three types of pay is you do you want pay attention you're gonna pay the invoice Or you gonna or you're gonna pay to learn this won't take you a long long time to learn if you pay or you won't pay attention It's it's those three
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: So now, by let's let's fast forward a little bit, you've been able to help entrepreneurs get 50 to 100k and funding in 24 to 72 hours, break that down for me.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I will.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: You're doing that.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: So obviously, what merchant cash advances, obviously, we can get a, we can get a person paid within 24 hours.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: instantly.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then obviously, too, for somebody who's looking for zero percent interest funding, if you have the comparable credit, you have a 700 credit score, you have the primary credit cards, you have all these things set.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: In order, it's just a formal introduction to our relationship managers.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: See, the problem is, Ash, a lot of people value money more than relationships.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm here to tell you relationships to pay you over and over and over again.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: I have relationships that made me $200,000.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I have to give them a dollar.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: But what I did was I helped them with the KPIs, I helped them feed their family.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still one of the people, like my wife, she feel like I'm a part of the secret society.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still getting gifts from Chase.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_01]: I get, I get full case from Chase and everything all the time because we bring them so much money.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_01]: So what I'm doing is I'm helping clients build a better relationship with the banks.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: right because what happens is average client is going to walk into the bank it what they're going to say is, um, what do I qualify for now?
- 30:16[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to go in and say, we got to make them earn our business.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: What offers do you currently have?
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have a zero percentage card?
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: What's the maximum exposure on a line of credit?
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: even on a term loan right after you're in business for two years.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: So we're teaching them how to go on a big system because what happens is if you come into the bank right and you come in and you've prepared and you answer every question correct.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't get the approval you need now the relationship manager is fighting through.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: Hold on, break.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm here to tell you.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: He has a business.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: He means it for working capital.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: He needs it for ads.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's doing fluids of promotion.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: He shows up why we can't give him 50 to 75,000 dollars.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna fight for you to get it, but if you come in like, oh, what do I qualify for, right?
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: Or I'm just gonna take whatever you can get me.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_01]: Or you apply like the masses online.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to get that generic approval, right?
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: Which is typically five to 20 grand max.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: But when you come through us, what happens is, you can go through a relationship manager, you can request the amount of money you want.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: So you can request the amount of money you want, via DocuSign, right?
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: Because they're going to send you a DocuSign to say, I call it the bag doorway, via DocuSign, right?
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: And you're able to basically elevate your business and maximize your funding.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: And that's so powerful to because again, to be able to like these are like such creative ways to get funding to be able to do it at just such a quick time, you know, those who are ready to go, you know, can't start their business and do do all of those things, you know, you mentioned earlier about helping people.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_00]: you know get 0% interest cards.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: What is the real power of 0% interest cards and how should entrepreneurs use them the right way?
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: The real power behind 0% interest cards is you take an essentially you're taking money from someone in the clock don't start.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's free money because it's 0% interest for 12 months, 12 to 18 months depending on the bank you go to.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: So now you have time, especially as a new entrepreneur, to run the place, if you fall and bump your head, you got space in between.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say Francis and I'll use Chase again because they're the big dogs, right?
- 32:24[SPEAKER_01]: With Chase, if they give you a 75,000 dollar car for the first 12 months, you only got to pay 1% back every month.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: So if I maximize on that 75,000, only got to pay 75 to your month.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, what else can you do that?
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: You can't do that anyway.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: If you take 75,000, that clock is going to start yet and you're going to be paying, you're going to be paying maybe $3,000 a month.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: So now you got 75,000, you're able to run a place so you can trip bump your head or you can go and get a mentor to walk you through the process and then we go from there.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: So that's something that we specialize in, right?
- 32:58[SPEAKER_01]: Because what we did was we started to work with coaches and course creators and starts a fun-made community.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm behind some of the biggest communities in the space, but people don't know, I'm behind it because I built a system where I'm not even, you don't see, I'm not the face.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: When I'm behind some of the biggest coaches and course creators in the community, we help their students get fun.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously, if their students find success, they find success.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_01]: Also, the biggest bottleneck in community with coaches and course creators is what?
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: They mean funding.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_01]: They need to dig somebody's students need to pay them.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll fund their students so they're students able to pay them.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: We'll also fund their students to be able to get to the goals whether it's real estate, being able to purchase their first location or build up a new location or if it's a lawn sweet, being able to start your first lawn sweet, we're going to leverage zero percent interest funding because again the clock don't start.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what what I what I like about
- 33:50[SPEAKER_00]: This business model.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, obviously it's not for everybody.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be able to have a certain level of risk tolerance, but the fact that, you know, you know, everybody, you know, like like naysayers of funding always talk about, well, if you get funding, you know, it's money that you got to pay back.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: And then when you do the 0% interest, that means you have 12 months to be profitable within that business, and if you choose the right business and strike structure, you know, it's practically a free loan.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, very head back, but if the asset that you use to buy it is cash loan more than what your payments are.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: You could actually, you know, you know, game pay for that.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy because a lot of people don't know, right?
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: Elon Musk, he leveraged, he leveraged funding in order to purchase X formerly known as Twitter.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_01]: Damon John, his mother put a house up as collateral for him to invest in his into his dreams.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, why are we as people not leveraging that debt?
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: Well, leveraging that debt to build something bigger.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: You call yourself the funding architect, what makes your approach different from the typical credit repair funding coach.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: So again, like I look at it like this, right?
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people just they try to get through the day.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people try to get through the week.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm getting from the week, right?
- 35:15[SPEAKER_01]: So for me, when I was working in corporate America, I took every structure I did every day and put it into my business.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: To the point now, I no longer have to be in my business because I implemented systems and automations, right?
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: So now I got people from the Philippines as funding specialists, that's funding clients for me.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: So now we have an approval channel and I could be out like today buying my wife to $3,000 camera, right?
- 35:39[SPEAKER_01]: buying her $3,000 camera and guess what?
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm getting the approval from the channel.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: I know I'm making money.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_01]: I know I see my calendar as full.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see my calendar for as a problem, right?
- 35:49[SPEAKER_01]: So the calendar's full and I implemented a system, right?
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of these funders in the space, they're still doing it themselves.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: They're still communicating with clients.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: They're still overwhelmed.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm teaching people right now how to take yourself out of the business, right?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's like when you think about the four cash flow closures, you got employee?
- 36:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: You got small business, you got business on it, you got investor.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm teaching people how to go from small business on it to a business on it, where everything is automated, right, completely free, because the problem is, here's the thing, right?
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like when you think about McDonald's, some people want to be the fried cook in a family.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, in their business, right?
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: They want to be the fried cook in a business, they want to be, they want to make the big max, they want to make the big chickens, they want to be at the register.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: You can't be everywhere I want.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: and then now guess what?
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now your quality and services law.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_01]: We have to automate these things.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_01]: So what we're teaching people how to do is basically how to outsource virtual assistance to do the job for you.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: We're teaching people how to go to different places, too, not just the Philippines.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: We can go to Jamaica.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: Because Jamaica is only an hour behind us Easter time.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's central time.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: So now you can hear a Jamaican in America.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: You can hear a Jamaican in America and you would like you would think they hear.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_01]: We can go to Brazil now.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people don't know Brazilian is a tech savvy, super tech savvy, so we can go and get some I who understand systems as well.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: So we don't have to necessarily just go to one place.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm teaching you how to source them in real time.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I love that, you know, because, and you know, obviously so.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_00]: A couple of things that I'm hearing, number one, always been a good at sales, so that's being a good at sales, transformable skills.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's an entrepreneurship, number two, always been a leader, right?
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's because you've been a leader, you know, specifically incorporated retail, you know, you know, top sales, building, you know, building teams and things
- 37:39[SPEAKER_00]: And so now what we think about like funding, right, because this is what what you do, um, you know, you know, what are some funding plays that entrepreneurs are sleeping on right now a lot of it's a couple of men.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: I would say the number one funding play that entrepreneurs are sleeping on is going to like Elon financial banks.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_01]: Why, because they give you 18 months or percentages.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: And on the personal side, you can get the credit cards for 21 months, 0% interest on the personal side.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: Another thing, another low hanging fruit that entrepreneurs are not looking into is first tech bank.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: First tech bank right now, what they do is basically, they'll connect to your personal your check-ins or your business check-ins, and then they'll prove you based off what's in your check-ins account.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: So now you can go and get, I'm getting people their first credit card, 20,000, 25,000 on the personal side.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_01]: people used to talk about how Navy Federals are only being given it.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's not just Navy Federals.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: So it's understanding how the leverage of systems that's in front of you.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: So that's where we're teaching people today.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: What do most entrepreneurs get wrong when forming an LSD or structure in their business?
- 38:47[SPEAKER_01]: The biggest thing they get wrong men is they'll put their home address on their L.C.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the thing, it's public information, y'all.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_01]: So it's public information.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: So if somebody Google you, a Google year business, it's going to show up your apartment, your house, everything.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: So the number one thing we want to do is going get a virtual office, but make sure it's not a commercial mail receiving agency.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people have commercial mail receiving agencies.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: So when they do go into the banks and get funded, they turn down.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: Because now they got
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: FedEx store now we've got to go and get a Brick in mortar that has like you can rental office inside of it.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: You can go in and then now go pick up your mail Right, it looks more it looks more professional to the underwriters, right?
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: So want to make sure we're able to do that
- 39:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_00]: How does someone know whether they should be?
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: If they should use your DSCR loan versus personal credit versus business credit, like when it's sold.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're going in, if you're on entrepreneur, having file taxes, you don't have positive tax returns, you're not generating much income, then I'm going DSCR.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 39:51[SPEAKER_01]: Because they're not asking for personal documentation.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: What they're looking for is what if the ranking our way the mortgage.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's the only thing they're looking for.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_00]: Traditional right for the average person that's traditional they're going to actually for those documentation Right they're going to give you a pre-approved that you're able to go on to the marketing and going to invest in whatever property you want and go and go about a property Sure, um at what point should should a business owner bring in forecasting so like like financial planning credit structure And like is that something that they should be doing early on in the biz they won okay
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: day one day one so I want you guys to look at your business like like your your target look at your business like your Walmart look at your business like your McDonald's it starts from day one because if you implement forecasts you're forecasting alone so you know if you're going to be overwhelmed going into a month or going into the next month.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_01]: So, implementing that forecast is to start from day one.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_01]: You should know from, you should know straight from your calendar, how many clients you got and if you're going to be overwhelmed.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I always tell people too, right?
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: Inside of your business, this is how you figure out the bottlenecks.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: Because people coming to me all the time, like, you got the best system system system system.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: We all know systems stand for safety, time, energy, and money, right?
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: But I tell people how you start to, because systems is like a glove, right?
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: I tell them how you start to develop your system.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: There's talk to yourself about your day-to-day.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_01]: What's a bottleneck?
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: What do you feel like you feel avoid?
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it don't bring you energy to get on a call with a client.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to go and replicate that.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it don't bring you energy going over your calendar and reminding people that they have a meeting on a calendar.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to delegate that.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it don't bring you energy,
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: jumping on these jumping on these calls and educating people, right?
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to delegate it.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_01]: So understanding the power of delegation.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_01]: So here's the thing, one thing I noticed too, right?
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like when you think of Verizon, right?
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: You think of team mobile, you think of all these companies, where most of the employees from where you call in now, Philippines.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like these are Fortune 17, Fortune 20 companies.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_01]: Why are we not implementing our day-to-day?
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: But we're able to go and hire somebody in our business for four to five dollars.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy, it's crazy to me.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: And then what happens is some of them are more skilled than people here, right?
- 42:03[SPEAKER_01]: You can go and get an executive that's there, put them in your business and they'll be able to forecast for you, build out your business for you, create SLP's view.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_01]: And then for those who don't understand what SLP is, it's just standing operating procedures, right, building out a day to day.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_00]: What it looks like to work in your company every day.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_00]: And it's funny because
- 42:23[SPEAKER_00]: as an entrepreneur, specifically in Atlanta, a lot of times when you try to hire local, you get what's called the Uganda Tax, right?
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: So we get taxed, you know, heavy, and so to be able to get somebody from the Philippines or the Jamaica or wherever, before fraction of the cost, and you're getting that, you know, you're getting
- 42:47[SPEAKER_00]: somebody who's compensated, somebody who knows what they're doing, I think that's a great part of a business model, because your team is going to help you get, you know, get really far.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: So that way, when we think about funding, funding is powerful, but it can also be dangerous.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_00]: What mistakes do you see people make that sabotage their future as a relates to funding?
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I've seen people get a 75k card and go and go buy clothes.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: Go and go buy chains.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: Go and go buy a car instead of running the play.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: I see that all the time.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_01]: These guys, the first time they see that money, because think about it, how low would it take you to save $100,000?
- 43:25[SPEAKER_01]: The average American don't even have $1,000 in account.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_01]: So the go and go buy a car, go buy a chain, go buy a clothes with it.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, come on now.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_00]: Man.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_01]: we can't do that.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I see a lot of entrepreneurs do that.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why we typically what we do is we provide post support.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_01]: So after we fund you, we're like, all right, cool, what is your goal?
- 43:44[SPEAKER_01]: And then we walk you through it.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: We may see somebody that's a professional in industry.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: If it's real estate, we probably won't go Eric Crutchfield, right?
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: We may go Patrick from Atlanta that's building all of these houses.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: If it's Salons, we should probably go sway, right?
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: So it's understanding where to place the client after they get the money, because if the
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: They gon' blow it.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, facts.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: They gon' blow it.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, facts.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm serious.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: I know personally because I've been when I was 18.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: I had a little lawsuit.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: You don't see a little with a lawsuit money.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I was bullet.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I promised you, I think, like, four months.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_01]: I was broken gay.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_01]: I was broken dead, man.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I was bulletin' a little lawsuit for sure.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, man.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I know.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_01]: How should entrepreneurs think about leverage and debt without drowning in it?
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think the biggest thing you have to understand first is it's not your money is not your money is somebody giving you money to go run the play yeah and I think that will help you to not drown if you understand is not your money you got a play to run and then you start to put your head together and put your head together with your family your friends or even your mentor
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: They got two zero percentage cards.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: You can go for the ink cash or the ink unlimited.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: And it's the same thing with multiple banks, right?
- 44:58[SPEAKER_01]: You can go to multiple banks and going in multiple products.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: And if you don't mess the bag up, now you're opening itself up to lines of credit, which is real cash where you don't have to liquidate.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now you're opening itself up to term loans, right?
- 45:10[SPEAKER_01]: Now you're opening itself up to SBA loans, right?
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: Because now it's positive tax returns there because you run into plays and you actually have numbers there.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: And also, too, you look like a real legit business.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that's what it with the hand.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_00]: I love this.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: So so let's let for my for my insight as that a watch of right now I know you're a loving this.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: I know you're a feeling the energy About your j-mapses give you a lot of game a lot of game y'all listen y'all bet it you're gonna be better Ticket so if someone's watching right now and they have zero credit
- 45:44[SPEAKER_00]: that credit or no business, what's the first move they should make today?
- 45:48[SPEAKER_01]: All right, first move you should make is pull up a credit report.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's the number one, pull up a credit report, understand who you owe money to.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: Keep in mind, whatever you dispute on your credit report, you still owe it, technically, but you want to be able to dispute it off.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_01]: Secondly, what you guys can do is you can go to upwork.com and look for a
- 46:10[SPEAKER_01]: So you can pay some of my 15 to $40 per dispute and guess what, now you don't have to pay 90s credit your gurus in the space at $1,200 or $1300 per dispute.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_01]: So now they have to earn a keep if they good, they're going to start to get deletions early.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: And if they not, then now we know we pivot over to somebody else that's doing dispute.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: You would not either find an upwork, go to upward, you would type it, credit the sputus.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_01]: And then you can accent, hey, what do you specialize in?
- 46:33[SPEAKER_01]: Lateness is, what do you specialize in getting derogatory, is off whether it's whether it's anything on your report, able to ask them before you even pay them.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_01]: Now you pay in some of your $15, who won't run off a $15, I rare?
- 46:46[SPEAKER_01]: And they're going to make me a break me, but somebody can run off a $12, $1300.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_01]: And what happens is, I see this often a lot is a lot of people in the space are saying they can do
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's all added.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_00]: The dope thing about up work is you don't have to deliver until they deliver the, they give you the work.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: So now you can report the up work.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, this person has a fulfilled end of the job.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: And you believe on the bad review and a lot of these people that's overseas.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_01]: This is their bread and butter.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's how they feed their family.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: They lineage.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm saying because overseas, they really take care of their family.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_01]: And like they affect.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like they building for their whole family.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_01]: As a fact, as a fact.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm really, no, I won't pick it up.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_00]: Please put it down.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_00]: What's the biggest lesson you learned about money from working with, you know, from corporate America to making, you know, six figures in 10 weeks, making six figures in the day.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: What's the biggest lesson you learned about money?
- 47:40[SPEAKER_00]: I used to think money was everything.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about that too.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_01]: I used to think it was everything.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: If I get money, I'm gonna do this.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_01]: If I get money, I'm gonna look like this.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: If I get money, but now it's a tool.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: I leverage it as a tool to get me what I need.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: I leverage it as a tool to keep me healthy.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: Us going to the gym, right?
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: We pay a lot more than the average person will pay to go to a gym, right?
- 48:01[SPEAKER_01]: But I leverage it as a tool to make sure my family's good.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_01]: Before I used to be the tool to money.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: Now, money is a tool to me.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I control the money, actually.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, people who don't have money, this is what they value, right?
- 48:14[SPEAKER_01]: Because past receive voice equals present receive values, right?
- 48:18[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm here to tell you, like, money is a tool that gets you where you need to go.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's a vehicle.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's a vehicle that gets you where you need to go fast.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's a GPS.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_00]: I love that.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: how does it feel now, right?
- 48:32[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, you've left corporate America, you're making, you know, six figures in a couple of months, you recently been able to make six figures in a year.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yeah, I'm sorry, in a day.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_00]: No, no.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_00]: to me one day.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: You think it would make six because of one day?
- 48:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_00]: How does that feel like?
- 48:57[SPEAKER_00]: Does it feel good at how, you know, how are your family members or people around you?
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, kind of good.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: Great question, man.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_01]: Great question.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, when I, you know, when you're thinking about it, right?
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: Before it happens, you're like, damn.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if I do this, I'm making, I'm gonna do this.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_01]: But also, two people don't talk about you making it, right?
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: It almost makes you feel alone, I'm a little bit.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like, because what happened is, the average American is not even making $48,000 a year.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_01]: So, you to make it in the day is almost like, you wanna call your friends, your family members, your uncles, your sisters, to tell them your day one, celebrate them.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: But they can't, they can't, they don't understand it, yeah.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: They have limited beliefs, they can't, they can't fathom 100,000.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, like if you tell somebody that thing or they don't voodoo, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 50:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, I tell my mother that she's like, you're a whole nobody, not doing anything.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_01]: I hope you're not doing it.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: Nah, my, I'm literally doing the right thing.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm actually helping people.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this is, this is, it's bigger than selling dope.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we selling hope.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we helping people really build and scale businesses.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_01]: Six bigger businesses and to help their family and their kids kids for them to help somebody.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, man, it put me in like a state where I was trying
- 50:26[SPEAKER_01]: tapping tomorrow day one day, but I had to go and call my day two.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_01]: Right, because my brand tools, they understand in environment, right?
- 50:34[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_01]: And we, like, we all know the day two is we're going to get the blues with for sure.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_01]: No, so for sure, for sure.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_01]: Man, it was hard.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: It was hard.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_01]: That was a big adjustment for me for sure.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, we talked about this in a gym.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and it was one of the things that you I had to like affirm to you that that's a real thing because I you know, I remember you know, making a lot of money.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and and feeling like man, this money like I just felt like.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I felt like Chinese food, right?
- 51:00[SPEAKER_00]: So you know how like you eat Chinese food, you hungry, you hungry, and you eat Chinese food, and you think like yo, I'm gonna be full, but you ate this food and you still hungry.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm saying, yeah, for me, you know, you know, out of the space where I made a lot of money.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_00]: The most money I've ever made in my whole entire life, the most money that I've ever even thought that I could make all in one day.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I looked and I thought I was going to feel a different way, I thought I was going to be excited, you know, obviously, you know, you excited, but I thought, you know, it was going to feel different, but I felt like depression felt lonely, it felt like.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_00]: The people I wanted to celebrate, like I remember one of my day ones finding out about it and then L.O.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_00]: Welling, like he didn't even believe it, like he couldn't even fathom in his mind at this thing was true.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_00]: And so it did, it did like leave a space.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_00]: But again, you know, I think it's one of those things that when you are the first,
- 52:01[SPEAKER_00]: When this is not like a normal thing right where you come from an environment where you want to share with your loved ones, but you know you were chosen, you know, I'm saying like God chose you for a particular reason and it's funny because even as I hear your story, I could see why your successful right is because you've been being prepared for this success from day one.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_00]: And I truly believe that, you know, again, God chooses what he wants to.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like you were, you're just, you just wanted them guys, you know what I'm saying?
- 52:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was like, I, I'm gonna choose you, and the truth of the matter, oh, too.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_00]: And this is Fatty by who's watching, who has success that may feel like the success is lonely.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_00]: You were, leadership is lonely.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: You were chosen to lead, you know, even as the middle child, right?
- 52:52[SPEAKER_00]: You were chosen to lead.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the youngest and my brother and sister.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_00]: I tell you, they call me big bros still.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_00]: You're not saying because, you know, I mean, they try to be like little bit bros still.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 53:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, I still feel like I was the one, you know, out of my family that was chosen to lead, if you will.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_00]: You're not saying.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_00]: So that's a beautiful thing.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so, so what, what should entrepreneurs be focusing on to become fundable in 25?
- 53:21[SPEAKER_01]: I would say the credit profile, right?
- 53:22[SPEAKER_01]: What I see a lot of guru say is go to kick off, coval, all of these, all of these places, right?
- 53:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_01]: The banks, what they love is real primary accounts.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_01]: Start at, start at Navy Federal, go get a pledge law to build a relationship with them.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you can now you make yourself accessible for a credit card with them, right?
- 53:40[SPEAKER_01]: go over to leverage pre-approved tools, go over to Christian community, credit union, go over to Wayne's federal credit union, leverage to pre-approved tools, go to, you can go to credit strong, right?
- 53:52[SPEAKER_01]: They say on average they get the average, the average credit profiles have an increase of 86%.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, 86 points, right?
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: So understanding that the real primary accounts help you grow, right?
- 54:09[SPEAKER_01]: $5,000 credit cards.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't, go back and start to leverage asking for those increases.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people don't know.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_01]: You can ask for a credit increase every 91 days.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_01]: So go and ask for those credit increases, right?
- 54:21[SPEAKER_01]: And make the banks earn your business.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_00]: I love that.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_00]: What's the long game for you, right?
- 54:29[SPEAKER_00]: What's what this, what legacy are you building with JJ T consultant?
- 54:34[SPEAKER_01]: So, biggest legacy right now, obviously we went in the coaching, so the name of the coaching is on fund the freedom, the biggest thing, the biggest legacy I want to leave behind is I want to help a hundred people generate six figures in a business, so the goal is to start with a hundred people generating six figures in a business, then I want to help ten people generate seven figures in a business, so the goal is to help people grow and also for them to show other people how to do the
- 55:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, and I love that, I love that.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so at this stage of your life, what keeps you motivated to empower your entrepreneurs financially?
- 55:09[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I think so many things, like the gym getting up and going to the gym every day, being around high level entrepreneurs, me being a little dog there, right?
- 55:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a little dog there.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm the pup there, right?
- 55:19[SPEAKER_01]: So showing them, like, all right, who I'm him, you know, I'm saying, also to my family.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's my wife.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_01]: So when I look on the screen of my phone, it's my, it's my fiance, my kids.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's like I have to operate in green and save a day because they watching me so yeah They're watching me and I'm the one leading them.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm leading the family They follow me through all these days.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_01]: They follow me for no reason now.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I got to continue to show for them Yeah, also two shown other people that is possible to go from the Bronx to living in the penthouse in the land Yeah, to go from the Bronx to being able to have whatever I want.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_01]: I used to step over people going up the stairs
- 55:52[SPEAKER_01]: To the fifth floor, I used to step over people slumped on the stairs when I was coming from school.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_01]: To now, my kids, he only went, my son don't even know the diff, he don't know.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: You don't even know what the Bronx is, he don't understand.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_01]: So now I got to take them back to my older part, and I got to take them back to my old blocks and he beneath the other kids, because
- 56:08[SPEAKER_01]: right now he just know he got a pool in his building he can go and get coffee in hot chocolate right build that he's a door man you can't even get up to my flow without a key like he don't know no better sure so it was like showing my kids and showing my kids we I came from yeah yeah why why do you think that's a boy
- 56:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's super important because it keeps him grounded.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like now, he only understands one thing.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like when he tells his friends, he's living that building.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_01]: Living, they like, whoa, you don't live there.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like rich people live there.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm saying so showing him with his dad came from, we was able to take them.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's super important because for him to see that or going to my old room, I'm taking them this weekend.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_01]: We're going up to New York.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_01]: Take them into my old room and show them my room.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_01]: Like the bump band's still in there.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_01]: The bump band loves my Virginia.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's still here.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_01]: I said, be about brother, we didn't say it.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's always to give each other a five.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like understanding, right?
- 57:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like where we came from, man, and having him know like, this is where your dad came from.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: And you want to stand now, where we at is being total different.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: In the biggest difference was consistency.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_01]: That grind.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_01]: It was dedication.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_01]: How does it sound now?
- 57:14[SPEAKER_01]: My son is nine.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_01]: OK.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_01]: So he's at that age where he needs to know.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like consistency, dedication, that grind, like being able to take your family
- 57:23[SPEAKER_01]: for sure.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody can't go.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_00]: If you could leave the world with one message about money, credit, and ownership, what would it be?
- 57:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great question.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_01]: Money, credit, and ownership.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_01]: I would say for credit, man, it's leverage.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's like leverage it.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_01]: Use it as a tool.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_01]: Again, don't let it use you, you use it, right?
- 57:48[SPEAKER_01]: To build and grow.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_01]: Use it as momentum to take you where you need to go.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_01]: And understand the power of now, no opportunities wasted.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think a lot of people they wait, they say, oh, now I'm going to do this next Monday, next Monday, next Monday, like you ever heard that saying, yesterday you said today,
- 58:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's the average American man, like they say 2% of the population is literally taken action.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like leverage in that credit to really take action and take your life to that next level.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_01]: And understanding to that money, we control money money on control us.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_01]: So in the pot, that's power in the tongue, Joe.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_01]: People want to understand this power in the tongue.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_01]: So you say something literally, what you think about is what you bring about.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_01]: 1,000, 1,000, 1,000.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, you and your challenge, I was like, man, I was listening to GZ, man.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_00]: I dream as to make a million in a day.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_00]: I was just listening to that today.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_00]: My dream, I dream about 12 to day.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's the first.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_00]: Sheesh.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_00]: 1,000 percent, 1,000 percent.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm excited, brother.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_00]: cross paths, I'm excited.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they don't mind me saying this, but a lot of, there's a lot of multi-millionaires that came through inside the vault, right?
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: I've recorded over 200 shows right now.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_00]: If you go back, I mean, you got to take my word for if you go back to the 2021 and just look at some of the people that I've interviewed, most of the big dogs that are doing a thing today, you know, seven, multiple, seven, eight-figure entrepreneurs, you know, sat in that same chair.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm a very good, you know,
- 59:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, uh, what are you saying?
- 59:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a very good.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I know how to pick out.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_00]: Why don't I?
- 59:32[SPEAKER_00]: How to how to how to see like people who are going to do great things and I already see like you're going to do great things.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, so I'm looking forward, man, to like, man, it might be months from now.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_00]: It might be months from now.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_00]: It might be another, you know, next year, whatever.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm looking forward to like sitting next to a multiple seven figure earner, man.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I see it, you know, I'm saying like I see it.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_00]: Is there any question or anything that you want you want to leave with my people or something that I didn't ask that you would want me to ask?
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I don't really have a question, man.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_01]: Man, just fortunate enough to be here.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's a, um, man.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_01]: I've been watching you since the pandemic.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to get your flowers or I've been watching you since the 10s.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_01]: Then again, I'm saying, you know, you never know what you going to end up, right?
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_01]: If I was, I'm here sitting here talking to you.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure I go to the gym with you every day, right?
