Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / All Questions, No Answers: Ghislaine Maxwell And Her Deposition Before Congress
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. Now that the Epstein files have been released,
- 0:08the Congressional Committee has taken a bit of a back
- 0:12seat when it comes to the investigation. Well, today, Glayne
- 0:17Maxwell is going to be deposed by Congress. However, before
- 0:22we get too excited, she's already stated she plans on
- 0:26taking the fifth so she doesn't plan on answering any
- 0:30of these questions that are going to be posed to
- 0:33her by Congress, And unfortunately that's to be expected. Ghlayne
- 0:39Maxwell was never going to answer any questions that put
- 0:43anybody on the hot seat. If she was going to
- 0:46do that, she would have done it a long time ago.
- 0:50So I feel like it's performative by Congress to even
- 0:54call her to be deposed, and not because she can't
- 0:58offer anything up. She most certainly can when it comes
- 1:01to filling in timelines, when it comes to talking about
- 1:05the other people that were involved, the other people that
- 1:07were around, the other people that were enjoying their time,
- 1:11if you will, at Jeffrey Epstein's house, she could definitely
- 1:15fill in those blanks. But Glenn Maxwell will never admit
- 1:19that she did anything wrong because in her demented mind,
- 1:22she didn't. So today that's going to be the big news,
- 1:26right that Glenn Maxwell is set to be deposed. Unfortunately,
- 1:31we're not going to get much from it. This article
- 1:34was published by The Daily Mail and the headline Glenn
- 1:37Maxwell is set to plead the fifth as she appears
- 1:40before the US Congress investigating Jeffrey Epstein today. This article
- 1:47was authored by Adam Pogrund. Glenn Maxwell is expected to
- 1:52plead the fifth when she appears before a US Congress
- 1:55board investigating Jeffrey Epstein's crimes on Monday. Maxwell sixty four,
- 2:02an accomplice of the late pedophile, will be questioned behind
- 2:05closed doors, but is said to invoke her right to
- 2:08not answer any questions. She is currently serving a twenty
- 2:13year prison sentence for trafficking girls to sex offender financier Epstein,
- 2:19and will face questions from prison via video link in
- 2:22a deposition by the House of Representatives Oversight Committee. So
- 2:27it's basically just a waste of time. Instead of deposing
- 2:31Glayne Maxwell, why don't we depose Sarah Kellen Vickers, Why
- 2:36don't we depose Leslie Groff? Or how about Adriana Ross
- 2:40might be a good idea. No, you see, the problem
- 2:43is if they did any of that, they'd have to
- 2:45widen the scope of their investigation. And that's what they've
- 2:48always tried to avoid because the wider the scope is
- 2:53the more people that are going to get drawn into it.
- 2:56And that's what they've wanted to avoid this whole entire time.
- 2:59And that's why it's so important that people think that
- 3:02this is just one sick, madman, just one demented pervert
- 3:07operating alone. Though no new US prosecutions are expected after
- 3:12the latest release of government files on Epstein, numerous political
- 3:17and business leaders have fallen into scandal or resigned as
- 3:21their ties to the convicted sex criminal were revealed. The
- 3:25Republican led House Oversight Committee is probing Epstein's connections to
- 3:30powerful figures and how information about his crimes was handled,
- 3:34and they're doing a piss poor job. Not one word
- 3:37about the NPA that tells you all you need to know,
- 3:42because the NPA is one of the sickest, most degenerate
- 3:47things that the United States government has ever done when
- 3:51it comes to get into bed with a criminal. And
- 3:54that says a lot. I mean, just look at the
- 3:57history of the United States, and look at some of
- 3:59the scumback criminals that the federal government has been willing
- 4:03to get in bed with, and Jeffrey Epstein is right
- 4:06at the top of the list. And the craziest part
- 4:09about that NPA is that Jeffrey Epstein wasn't in compliance
- 4:13with it ever, and that of course renders the NPA
- 4:17as nulan void. But that only happens when you're in
- 4:20a country that actually follows the law. That only happens
- 4:24when you have a DOJ that is in actively covering
- 4:27up the story that we're talking about. Maxwell is expected
- 4:33to invoke her right to not incriminate herself, guaranteed in
- 4:37the Fifth Amendment of the US Constitution. And look, she
- 4:40has every right not to say anything, and if I'm
- 4:44being real, it's in her best interest not to say
- 4:47a word, because Glenn Maxwell is as guilty as possible.
- 4:53I have no idea how you could look at the
- 4:55evidence against Glenn Maxwell and not think she's guilty. And
- 4:59I don't even mean in the larger picture, I'm just
- 5:03talking about in general, what she did, what we have
- 5:07direct evidence of her doing is enough for her to
- 5:10be convicted. She obviously was trafficking girls to Jeffrey Epstein.
- 5:15Now we know that it went deeper than that, but
- 5:19that's the narrow scope that they decided to charge, and
- 5:23they most certainly got over the finish line when it
- 5:26comes to providing evidence and testimony. The transcripts are all
- 5:31right there for anybody to read. And if you read
- 5:34those transcripts and come away thinking that Glaine Maxwell was innocent,
- 5:38then I don't know what to say to you. Honestly,
- 5:40I really don't know what to say. Like, I guess
- 5:43you can have that opinion, but it's wrong and the
- 5:47facts certainly don't back it up. And I know there's
- 5:49people out there that think Lane Maxwell got a raw deal.
- 5:53I don't think she got long enough. I think that
- 5:56Glainne Maxwell was not only involved in the actual abuse,
- 6:00but she was most certainly involved when it comes to
- 6:04funneling money, when it comes to laundering money, when it
- 6:07comes to receiving ill gotten gains from a criminal enterprise,
- 6:11she most certainly was guilty of that. And do you
- 6:13know how many people are sitting in prison right now
- 6:15as we speak, for wire fraud, for money laundering, a
- 6:19whole hell of a lot. Epstein died in prison in
- 6:22twenty nineteen, while awaiting trial for trafficking children in what
- 6:26was ruled a suicide. Maxwell's lawyers have pushed for Congress
- 6:31to grant her legal immunity in order to testify in
- 6:34the deposition, but lawmakers refused. Well, yeah, I would have
- 6:39refused too. She's not going to give up anything of note. Now.
- 6:43The only caveat to that is if you send the
- 6:46inspectors over, you know, the House inspectors who are working
- 6:49on the case, and she says she's willing to give
- 6:52you something of consequence, then maybe you think about giving
- 6:56her some kind of immunity. But besides that, why would
- 7:01anyone want to give Glenn Maxwell anything but a hard
- 7:04ass time, because that's all she deserves. Without that, her
- 7:09legal team said she would invoke her Fifth Amendment right
- 7:12against self incrimination. Proceeding under these circumstances would serve no
- 7:17other purpose than pure political theater. Her lawyers said in
- 7:21a letter, Well, there's no doubt that there's some element
- 7:24of political theater to the whole entire thing. So yeah,
- 7:27it's going to be some political theater. But really what
- 7:30it is is a waste of time. Right, She's not
- 7:34going to say anything We're not going to find anything out,
- 7:37and the journey towards accountability is not going to be
- 7:41any shorter. Because Glayne Maxwell gets up there and pleads
- 7:45the fifth It's like they're just ticking off boxes all
- 7:48in order to placate you so that you'll move on
- 7:52like they want you to. That's what they hope happens. Look,
- 7:57there is nothing left to get here, there's no investigation
- 7:59left to have our findings back up what the FBI
- 8:04was telling you. Nobody else was involved. That's the kind
- 8:07of bullshit that I expect from comer in company. They've
- 8:11never cared about this, unless, of course, you mean caring
- 8:13as in covering it up, in slow walking it in
- 8:18providing more time for a narrative to be built. Then yeah,
- 8:22sure they cared. But if you mean about survivors, if
- 8:25you mean about the rest of us who got screwed, Nah,
- 8:27they don't care one bit. And I'm pretty sure that
- 8:31those feelings are going to be returned come midterms. Though
- 8:38the deposition will occur behind closed doors. Representative Rocana, a Democrat,
- 8:43published a letter of the questions he intended to ask Maxwell,
- 8:47even if she refuses to answer. Some touch on Trump's
- 8:50ties to Epstein and Maxwell. Others focus on four co conspirators,
- 8:55as well as twenty five other men who allegedly sexually
- 8:58abuse miners Epstein's island. One of the questions asked, why
- 9:03do you believe they were not indicted? The Trump administration
- 9:08has already come under criticism for its handling of the case.
- 9:12And you know, it's so wild to me. You have
- 9:14people out here talking about how this was all the
- 9:16money grab by Epstein's survivors and how they all got
- 9:19super rich. But the truth is they didn't get rich,
- 9:25and the vast majority of the money that was doled
- 9:27out went to the United States Virgin Islands, not to
- 9:31the survivors. Chew on that for a minute. And when
- 9:35you average it all out, the survivors who received settlements
- 9:39via the estate and the compensation fund averaged way less
- 9:45than a million dollars each. So what are we even
- 9:49talking about here? People act like these women all got
- 9:53like twenty or thirty million dollars each when that is
- 9:56certainly not the case. Now, talking about RGI a little different, right,
- 10:01She got that gigantic payday from the Joe Exotic of
- 10:04the Windsor family. But you have people like Leon Black,
- 10:09who paid the USVII sixty two and a half million dollars.
- 10:15You have the USVII collecting over what one hundred and
- 10:19eighty million dollars throughout this whole, entire sordid ordeal, even
- 10:24though they themselves were accused of enabling Jeffrey Epstein's bullshit.
- 10:29So these dirty sons of bitches were eating at both
- 10:32ends of the table. So please save the nonsense for
- 10:37people that don't know the story. Save the bullshit. And
- 10:40it's funny when you bring that up. They don't ever
- 10:43have an answer for it. Right, Oh, well, you know, no,
- 10:47I don't know. Why don't you tell me? The Trump
- 10:49administration has already come under criticism for its handling of
- 10:53her case, as it should. How are you gonna move
- 10:56Gleanne Maxwell to club fed not give anybody any reason why?
- 11:02It's pretty crazy how they think they can just do
- 11:05whatever they want without any kind of oversight or without
- 11:08anybody saying anything to them. And God forbid, you do
- 11:11speak up, you're gonna get treated like Marjorie Taylor Green.
- 11:15You're gonna be ostracized, you're gonna be threatened, and you're
- 11:18gonna be called a trader. Last year, Maxwell was moved
- 11:22to a minimum security prison in Texas after meeting twice
- 11:25with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who previously served as
- 11:30US President Donald Trump's personal lawyer. No conflict of interests there.
- 11:35Everything is on the up and up, folks. Trump himself
- 11:40was a longtime Epstein associate, but has not been called
- 11:43to testify by the Oversight Committee, which is led by
- 11:45members of his Republican Party. Trump has not been accused
- 11:50of criminal wrongdoing related to Epstein's activities. Yo. The whole
- 11:54entire reason that the Democrats are willing to throw Bill
- 11:58Clinton in Hillary into the chump filled water is because
- 12:02they want to get Trump in the same position, and
- 12:05they are willing to sacrifice Bill and Hillary to do it.
- 12:08And in fact, I have an episode talking about that
- 12:10coming up later today, because it's a shrewd strategy by
- 12:14the Democrats, for sure, and it shows you the shifting
- 12:18lines within the Democratic Party. The old guard is not
- 12:22going to be protected like it used to be, and
- 12:27in order to get Trump in the hot seat, They're
- 12:30willing to jettison Bill and Hillary Clinton. And that is
- 12:33a seismic shift from the usual strategy and it's certainly
- 12:37interesting to watch it all go down because there was
- 12:40a point in time where the Clintons were untouchable and
- 12:44where nobody in the party would say a word. Let's remember,
- 12:48Jeffrey Epstein went to Bill Clinton's White House seventeen times,
- 12:52invited seventeen times. Now, you would think that that would
- 12:55be something that they would make a stink about, but
- 12:58not really. However, forward to today. They're willing to throw
- 13:02Clinton right over the edge if that means getting Trump
- 13:05in the hot seat. And I think that's rather obvious.
- 13:09You don't have to be some kind of political wonk
- 13:11to understand that that's the strategy. Also expected to be
- 13:16deposed by the committee are former President Bill Clinton and
- 13:20his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, both Democrats.
- 13:25The Clintons have called for their depositions to be held
- 13:27publicly to prevent Republicans from politicizing their testimony. Yeo, I'm
- 13:33all for it. I think all of these should be public,
- 13:36every last one of these depositions. Why are they behind
- 13:39closed doors in the first place. Now, I know we
- 13:41get the transcripts. That's cool, that's great, I appreciate it,
- 13:45But why not just have everything done in the open.
- 13:48Why are we playing games? Why give anybody any ground
- 13:52to complain and say that they're not being treated right
- 13:55or that they were done wrongly during the deposition. Make
- 13:59a public let us all see it, and let us
- 14:02all judge for ourselves, because at this point I don't
- 14:05think anybody believes anything that the Justice Department is telling us,
- 14:09And even when they do tell us something, I question
- 14:12its validity considering how much they've dog walked us, considering
- 14:16how much they've lied, why should we trust them now?
- 14:19And I agree with the Clintons all of this should
- 14:22be public. Unfortunately it's not going to be, so we'll
- 14:26have to rely on the transcripts like we have previously,
- 14:29and like usual, once those transcripts are available, we'll get
- 14:33them added to the catalog. All of the information that
- 14:38goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
