The Monster of Cannock Chase: Raymond Leslie Morris
In the mid-1960s, a series of child abductions terrorised the West Midlands and Staffordshire. Young girls vanished from ordinary streets. Their bodies were later found on the heathland of Cannock Chase.
Only one man was ever convicted: Raymond Leslie Morris, a factory engineer who became known as the Monster of Cannock Chase and the A34 Killer.
In this episode of A True Crime Podcast, host Alexander Lawson examines the crimes linked to Morris, the enormous manhunt that followed, the breakthrough that finally led to his arrest, and the lasting impact on the communities left behind.
