0:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Hi.
0:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Hi.
0:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Hi.
0:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, Haley.
0:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't get my line.

[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
0:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
0:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, Tara and Brett.
0:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Hi.
0:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Hello.
0:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back to the pod.
0:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so happy to be back.
0:40
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so happy that you're back.
0:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I've been on.
0:42
[SPEAKER_03]: I know.
0:43
[SPEAKER_03]: It's been a whole year since you were on the pod.
0:44
[SPEAKER_00]: All my hair fell off.
0:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what we're all on YouTube.
0:48
[SPEAKER_01]: You can fact check this.
0:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's really.
0:51
[SPEAKER_01]: You can see us in our new apartment.
0:54
[SPEAKER_03]: And so much you can see how we changed.
0:55
[SPEAKER_03]: How we've grown.
0:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I'm wearing a sweater.
0:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're taller.
1:00
[SPEAKER_01]: He's got taller, he's got taller gorgeous.
1:03
[SPEAKER_01]: No, if you best he's not remember, last February, we had Brett on because he had watched season one through five.
1:10
[SPEAKER_01]: He is back because it took him a year to get through season six and two weeks, two weeks to get those ends of it.
1:17
[SPEAKER_01]: So we have a lot of thoughts.
1:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all submitted a lot of questions for this man.
1:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I have submitted a lot of questions as well, but it is my podcast, so there are just questions.
1:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I've asked a question.
1:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Sure, exactly.
1:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I submitted them to myself, to my boss, to Tara, which is my answer.
1:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Half of she's my boss, I mean.
1:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm her boss.
1:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
1:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Congratulations.
1:40
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a boss.
1:42
[SPEAKER_01]: It's exactly right.
1:44
[SPEAKER_01]: I really, that's what you should do.
1:45
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you don't have a baby usually,
1:47
[SPEAKER_01]: It could throw a congratulations at the boss party.
1:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my, cool shirt on business.
1:52
[SPEAKER_01]: So congratulations.
1:53
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a boss, a boss.
1:54
[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, they help you start your business.
1:56
[SPEAKER_01]: They help fund your LLC, legal fees, and love.
2:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, it's we come to you today.
2:05
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like boss baby, but you cross out baby.
2:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
2:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
2:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, what I wanted to say was we're not going to talk about gummocles yet because I want to hear about what has happened in your life since we last spoke.
2:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like so much has changed the time that it took you to watch season 6 of Gilmore Girls.
2:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well a lot of things have happened.
2:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
2:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I bought a really fun ring for at least a really lot of money.
2:35
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot of money.
2:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Is that a really fun ring?
2:36
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a ring for.
2:39
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, little engagement.
2:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you come back to us a few months.
2:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
2:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
2:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
2:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Currently, Fions, it felt right.
2:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
2:47
[SPEAKER_00]: It was the best day of all time.
2:49
[SPEAKER_00]: You've talked about it at length at this point.
2:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
2:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
2:54
[SPEAKER_00]: It went perfectly.
2:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't have asked for anything more.
3:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was really great.
3:01
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's so funny to think about the fact that like when you were on the podcast last that was around the time that I was like starting to get suspicious that you were Yeah, because we had like plans were in motion.
3:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
3:15
[SPEAKER_00]: There was no turning.
3:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yes.
3:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Lots of suspicion.
3:18
[SPEAKER_03]: There are some suspicion there was, um, I had seen the pictures on your phone.
3:22
[SPEAKER_00]: It turned your own other against you.
3:24
[SPEAKER_03]: You did.
3:25
[SPEAKER_03]: You had the same mistake.
3:26
[SPEAKER_03]: She was a double agent.
3:27
[SPEAKER_00]: She was a double agent.
3:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
3:29
[SPEAKER_00]: She was so beautiful.
3:30
[SPEAKER_03]: It's so funny to think that, like, the last time that you were here on the podcast, that's what was going on.
3:35
[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't know.
3:35
[SPEAKER_03]: You didn't need a secret.
3:37
[SPEAKER_03]: It, like, sort of know a little bit, but not really.
3:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
3:39
[SPEAKER_03]: And now we're going to get married this year.
3:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so we're wedding planning.
3:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
3:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, we have a venue.
3:44
[SPEAKER_00]: We have a date.
3:45
[SPEAKER_03]: We have a dress, we have a photographer, we almost, um, we have a band and yeah, Brats got to get his outfit.
3:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what you're going to wear.
3:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking like a classic like pants pants for sure.
4:01
[SPEAKER_00]: She mentioned shirt would be a good idea.
4:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that it might be nice, but I don't know.
4:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
4:06
[SPEAKER_01]: That's, that's out there.
4:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
4:08
[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy.
4:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Beyond that, we're just going to, you know, place jazz and see what I should.
4:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
4:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
4:15
[SPEAKER_03]: No, we're for real.
4:16
[SPEAKER_03]: What he's, what he's thinking is really fantastic.
4:19
[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to look great.
4:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Think in like classic three-piece, like American textile, like, like, like, you know, like a texture, a green, like an olive green, and a deep olive green.
4:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Nice.
4:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I like that approach.
4:32
[SPEAKER_01]: What am I going to wear?
4:33
[SPEAKER_01]: A brooch with terraces in the little.
4:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a button.
4:37
[SPEAKER_03]: It's really more like a button.
4:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and it says I'm marrying.
4:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm this woman.
4:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm if found to please return to this one.
4:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Terrace trains going to say I'm with stupid on it and I'm going to have a brooch that says I'm stupid.
4:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Perfect.
4:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
4:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Amazing.
4:56
[SPEAKER_03]: I love it.
4:57
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what's so funny?
4:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Is that today my mom was asking about what he was wearing and what you were wearing?
5:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, we're going to ask about what he was to like, yeah, but honestly, I think you look great.
5:06
[SPEAKER_03]: But like, what the brides means we're wearing, what Brett was wearing is who we were chatting a little bit about that.
5:11
[SPEAKER_03]: And so it's funny we talked about that today because yeah, I'm fine to go with whatever they're wearing.
5:16
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, honestly, I don't want to like, you know, matchy match, per se, but we could talk about that.
5:22
[SPEAKER_01]: With love to wear the same outfit as Brett.
5:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, personally.
5:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I would like to kind of arrive and just not know what I'm wearing.
5:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Just have like, subtract, like, it's in a surprise box.
5:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I can kind of like what happens with the Logan and Roy in you jump into.
5:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yes.
5:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Just a box under your bed.
5:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
5:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I would love a box under my bed.
5:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I would love to come out in my like pants and shirt and I'm like, I don't have any.
5:41
[SPEAKER_00]: That time that teenager joined a cold.
5:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh God.
5:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
5:45
[SPEAKER_02]: It's what they was saying.
5:46
[SPEAKER_00]: What?
5:47
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what happens.
5:48
[SPEAKER_00]: No.
5:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Lori, Lori.
5:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I watched the show.
5:51
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good storm.
5:52
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a strong storm.
5:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Good night, everybody.
5:57
[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
5:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I make fun of you because I do it all the time.
6:01
[SPEAKER_03]: We do say Lori on this podcast often.
6:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, all the time.
6:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Who's TV?
6:04
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a hybrid.
6:04
[SPEAKER_03]: But he's talking about Rory and the life and death brigade and it being totally fine.
6:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
6:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
6:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Tara and I famously watch a lot of cult documentaries or like situations where teenagers end up in cult situations.
6:17
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, oh, I don't know that one.
6:19
[SPEAKER_01]: You meant Gilmore girls.
6:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I might go on girls.
6:21
[SPEAKER_00]: It's my it's my personal favorite cult documentary.
6:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean it could be, it could be.
6:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Could be.
6:29
[SPEAKER_03]: We were on an episode of the podcast called Sounds Like A Colt.
6:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
6:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Which I'm really excited among Harurekia, joined as the fourth host of that.
6:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Very excited.
6:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I think this week.
6:39
[SPEAKER_01]: That's very cool.
6:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Exciting times.
6:41
[SPEAKER_01]: But we are here, not talk about cults.
6:44
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I guess this is a cult, which is what we decided at the end of that episode.
6:48
[SPEAKER_01]: And that was the, this is just one cult.
6:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, just one, just the one we all have together, our friend called, but we wanted to get into this show that it took you quite some time to get through.
7:00
[SPEAKER_00]: The sixth season I really took time to digest.
7:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, 11 months, someone say.
7:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Because some would say that.
7:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like addressed this to a certain extent.
7:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that you're not a danger.
7:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a danger.
7:15
[SPEAKER_01]: No, that was like something that we talked about a lot in the last episode.
7:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Last year is that you, that's not something you enjoy.
7:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why I said that like it's a political scandal.
7:26
[SPEAKER_01]: No one takes a fence to grab a dress.
7:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I have a dress this.
7:31
[SPEAKER_01]: It's on YouTube, like all behind you, apology, sorry.
7:36
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you keep a one for me?
7:37
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a no-stop.
7:39
[SPEAKER_03]: I can only consume one episode at a time.
7:43
[SPEAKER_01]: something that I find really fascinating about the way that you watch season 6 and 7 after because earlier today, we listen to the episode that we recorded at 1.75 speed, so we sounded like chipmunks, but I have the gist of it.
7:55
[SPEAKER_01]: But you watch season 6 over the course of 11 months, which like that couldn't be less of a binge watch.
8:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you watch season 7 over the course of two weeks, which is the binge version.
8:04
[SPEAKER_01]: The binge version.
8:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
8:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Seven episodes yesterday.
8:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Which isn't saying like when she told me that after I had just heard you say like, oh, I don't like to binge watch.
8:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, that is an engine.
8:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
8:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and you know, the season, I can't, I like, God, I can't believe it's 22.
8:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, we really crammed 22 episodes.
8:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
8:24
[SPEAKER_00]: And it goes by, like, I hope that I remember.
8:28
[SPEAKER_00]: You will.
8:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Some of this, you will.
8:29
[SPEAKER_00]: You will.
8:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
8:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
8:31
[SPEAKER_03]: I think as we search to talk about it, you will.
8:33
[SPEAKER_00]: this season also felt indable.
8:35
[SPEAKER_00]: It was like I'm kind of happy that we did it that way.
8:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's literally what I was asking Terrabot before this is that with season six, I feel like there's various markers throughout it that feel very big and theatrical.
8:47
[SPEAKER_01]: But when you get to season seven, if you don't binge it, I felt like it was going to take you seven to nine business years to get through it.
8:56
[SPEAKER_01]: It was two weeks, or 25 years from now.
9:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Business years is really great.
9:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like a quarter-quel.
9:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm sorry 25 years bread and murders from his home to talk about the recent season.
9:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my God, but so it's easy.
9:21
[SPEAKER_00]: But I was our dog day.
9:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I will say this.
9:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I seasoned seven.
9:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I went in expecting to like really low.
9:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like it's got it had this rap on it that I was coming in to maybe because you don't like it that much.
9:35
[SPEAKER_03]: I think because the fandom is a whole really, you just really, I do speak for everyone when I say, like the fandom is a whole I think really doesn't like season 7, and especially because of all the controversy.
9:46
[SPEAKER_03]: The majority would say, there is a, there are decent, yeah, there are some people out there who do enjoy season 7.
9:51
[SPEAKER_03]: because of the controversy of Amy not being able to see her show.
9:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
9:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Please, completion, you know, people take a shoot with it.
9:58
[SPEAKER_03]: And you did also feel the tonal shift in the show.
10:02
[SPEAKER_00]: It takes a while to feel like it gets back to what I watched in the six previous seasons.
10:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
10:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I do feel like they end up landing the plane.
10:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
10:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Is it the same plane that took off?
10:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Or all of the people still on it?
10:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Is this the house?
10:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
10:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Was there an iceberg they ran into?
10:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I was thinking about this yesterday is that it was like, it's like a friend that you've known for a really long time that like is trying a new thing Like they're like, they're like, they're like, they got that new haircut and you're like, you have snow.
10:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
10:36
[SPEAKER_00]: And you're like, go off, girl, do a hat.
10:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I support you.
10:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I want it to work for you and if, you know, if hats is going to be your thing then that's great.
10:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like Gilmore Girls got bangs when season 7 started.
10:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Sharp bangs, but like sharp.
10:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but not straight them or season six bangs like my own No, no, no, no, they were like too short.
10:56
[SPEAKER_03]: They cut them at home Then by the end of the season they like grotto bit and and they were wearing a hat for a while And you're like, okay, you're not the same as how you used to be.
11:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but now you have bad doesn't look good or did I just get used to it?
11:15
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I think it looks good, I mean, you know, the finale I think was really nice.
11:24
[SPEAKER_01]: a lot at a lot of people they actually really enjoy that one like of like a season that kind of let people down a lot.
11:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I know a lot.
11:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I got emotional a couple times during it like when they walk it I did I did when they walk into the tent and and everybody is cheering on Rory and you get like that sort of like pan shot.
11:43
[SPEAKER_03]: They love a pan shot in this season.
11:46
[SPEAKER_00]: They love a pan shot in this season.
11:48
[SPEAKER_00]: There's that one I can't remember what episode it is but they're sitting around the table and there's
11:53
[SPEAKER_03]: it was go bulldogs when they're at the restaurant that Christopher takes them to yeah in the creme relay and there's like a weird like that said it's going to be show you think it's going to circle around the whole table but it really just looks at rory and then it goes from rory and we'll realize Christopher and you're like what did I just watch they they definitely tried a lot of things like they were in the editing room and they're like oh that's the only version of that that we have
12:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
12:35
[SPEAKER_03]: like I can't believe he's time, like a time for him.
12:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is like actually hundreds of hours of literally a part of labor that you did with a sewing needle and fishing wire.
12:45
[SPEAKER_01]: And fishing wire, where was that knitathon when we did it?
12:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's tight, it's tight.
12:49
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like, oh, it's not like, there's no leak in there.
12:52
[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's kind of rain.
12:54
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's holes.
12:55
[SPEAKER_00]: That's been like a Barnum and Bailey are going to come to Luke to the bottom of the vinyl.
13:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's true.
13:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, it's that classic like you've gotten to know everybody there.
13:08
[SPEAKER_00]: You love everybody there Mori and Babette and Patty are like They're going yay, Rory
13:17
[SPEAKER_00]: But it feels like they're saying yay, you know, it's as someone who has been in shows I have closed and like knowing what that feeling is like there is maybe they didn't know that this was their last episode But it felt like the energy was there that they were like yeah, this is it.
13:33
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's enjoy it
13:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Tara told me that she mentioned that to you last night that they didn't know that that was the finale when they showed up.
13:40
[SPEAKER_03]: But it just feels like they wrapped it up so nicely in about to be the series finale.
13:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Like I will get into this as the episode progresses, but we kind of chatted a little bit last scene about like what what a season eight of even looked like under those circumstances.
13:54
[SPEAKER_03]: Amy had an idea but I don't know where they would have taken it.
13:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Did you guys fan-fick in your mind like in real time when you watched the show?
14:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Meaning in like 2007 or in real time when we rewatch the show.
14:07
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, in real time when the show was airing and it was the first of the last.
14:10
[SPEAKER_00]: It was the first time the last time.
14:11
[SPEAKER_00]: The last time the first time.
14:13
[SPEAKER_03]: That's that's a haily question because haily actually watched the show.
14:17
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
14:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Did you feel like it was done?
14:20
[SPEAKER_01]: We knew it was done, like they were like, they announced, like, this is the final, like the final episode of Gamma Rolls.
14:26
[SPEAKER_01]: So like, I think that, so like, if you read Lauren Graham's memoir, actually, or one of her recent books, she talks about how she was at dinner, she got a call to the restaurant, I'm sort of agent, and her agent was calling to inform her that Gamma Rolls had been canceled, and they didn't tell anyone
14:49
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like a blockbuster, something that he was at, like the cashier told him that Gilmore Girls had been canceled and that's how he's not out about it.
14:56
[SPEAKER_01]: But at that point the WB was promowing it as the final episode.
15:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So like from when they shot it to when she found out I don't know what that timeline was like but on my end it was the finale and at the time I read all of the spoilers which beforehand.
15:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Why would why do you do this?
15:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Because of what happened in the episode before which we can get into.
15:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I have a lot of questions for you about that penultimate episode.
15:25
[SPEAKER_01]: But I was so devastated that I was like I don't even want to watch it.
15:29
[SPEAKER_01]: But I was so hopeful that things would turn around.
15:32
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, I'm just going to read spoilers.
15:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I just have to do it.
15:35
[SPEAKER_01]: And when I read them, I was like, it's a wrongless week.
15:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Despite the fact that every other week prior, it'd been right.
15:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, it's wrong.
15:42
[SPEAKER_01]: It's incorrect.
15:44
[SPEAKER_00]: This wasn't a thing that you like did regularly.
15:45
[SPEAKER_00]: This was like, this was a one-off thing where you were like, no, I need to do it.
15:49
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I did.
15:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I did it most weeks.
15:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Broughts it on a spoilers, girl.
15:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not any more, I actually, I might say.
15:55
[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't me judging me listening and accepting.
15:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you remember that Hailey was 15 years old?
16:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, not even.
16:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah.
16:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, she's, I was 15 years older with a Logan Huntsburg obsession.
16:07
[SPEAKER_01]: And if I, I needed to know if he was going to be in the next episode, because I would sometimes skip the episode if like Logan wasn't going to be in it.
16:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Amazing.
16:14
[SPEAKER_01]: So, like, what was the point?
16:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, learning the learning the plot, and I don't need that.
16:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't have a lower life.
16:21
[SPEAKER_00]: She's been around.
16:22
[SPEAKER_00]: We get it.
16:22
[SPEAKER_01]: I had six and a half seasons of plot.
16:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't love it.
16:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Show me Logan.
16:28
[SPEAKER_01]: So they were like, they were like various episodes and seasons seven that I didn't actually see until like the box that came out because I was like, and whatever, he's not in the sun, skip.
16:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I was, I was proud of a, a frory.
16:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's save that for, let's save.
16:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, let's pack it up because let's back up.
16:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Okay, before we really really get into the charges of season seven and even season six.
16:56
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
16:56
[SPEAKER_03]: We both listened to your episode today from last year and wanted to kind of like touch back down on your predictions at the end of season five.
17:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I did good.
17:04
[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like you did pretty okay, but there were some things that were really funny to listen to you talk about when we were like, what do you like half and half?
17:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
17:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
17:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
17:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Starting out, end of season five, you predicted that Luke and Laura live would break up because there were two seasons left and you felt like something was going to happen with Christopher during the season and you were right.
17:23
[SPEAKER_01]: You also said that you thought the show might end with Laura Li, approaching Christopher, saying it's always been you.
17:31
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
17:32
[SPEAKER_03]: A little happily ever after, like, one big happy family, and that Luke is just her best friend, and like they are better off with friends with that.
17:40
[SPEAKER_03]: And they've come to terms with that, yeah.
17:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
17:42
[SPEAKER_00]: There was that alternate universe, and like we explored that.
17:46
[SPEAKER_03]: I was going to say that's kind of the direction they took the show in for events like you weren't totally wrong didn't end that way but like I just yeah without the without or with the knowledge that like at that point I was like there's two seasons left how to TV shows usually go.
18:01
[SPEAKER_00]: And unless we were going to dive deep into, like, just focus on what's up with Roy's life, then there had to be, yeah, we had to do so.
18:09
[SPEAKER_03]: There had to be another detour, yeah, for sure.
18:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Something else interesting that you said was that you predicted something and then you said that it had come true because you had just watched the end of season five.
18:19
[SPEAKER_01]: There was no chance that Rory was graduating from Yale.
18:21
[SPEAKER_01]: And at that point, you were like, oh, I predicted this and now it's coming true.
18:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Which I thought was a funny prediction that you had that you felt had come true, but had not yet felt manifest.
18:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
18:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
18:33
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
18:34
[SPEAKER_03]: You did say that you thought that Rory was never going back to Yale.
18:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
18:39
[SPEAKER_03]: He said school's out.
18:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
18:41
[SPEAKER_01]: She doesn't need school.
18:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Famously.
18:43
[SPEAKER_00]: School's out.
18:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I stand behind that to a certain extent.
18:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
18:48
[SPEAKER_01]: You said that she'd only need school for an internship, but she didn't really need it for the job that she was going to do.
18:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
18:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like her life didn't, I don't know.
18:56
[SPEAKER_00]: There's, there's a lot of the story that doesn't revolve necessarily around like her being attached to Yale.
19:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it was, I was wrong.
19:03
[SPEAKER_00]: We can all say it was wrong.
19:04
[SPEAKER_01]: You're not not wrong.
19:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I mean, you are wrong.
19:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
19:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
19:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Because she did that.
19:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just put it on.
19:12
[SPEAKER_00]: You were wrong.
19:13
[SPEAKER_00]: You were wrong.
19:13
[SPEAKER_01]: You were wrong.
19:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Put it on the scoreboard.
19:17
[SPEAKER_01]: But it like it develops into this like something that you talked about not liking was that how much of where he's drama like vibe around her boyfriend's yeah that Gail takes a full step back and it's really just like nothing going on.
19:29
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like she's just walking around campus on the phone at like when we hit season seven So it's like school really doesn't isn't important.
19:36
[SPEAKER_01]: It feels like schools out, but she's still in school.
19:39
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a place I do like that they touch I think they do a pretty decent job of getting her stop it
19:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I do like the feeling of being a senior in college.
19:55
[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, I do like that they touch.
19:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I do like that they touch.
19:59
[SPEAKER_04]: I do like that they touch.
20:06
[SPEAKER_04]: Didn't say.
20:06
[SPEAKER_04]: You're like everybody.
20:07
[SPEAKER_04]: You're just kidding.
20:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I have a life, there was a trailer.
20:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there was a hard stop there.
20:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I see you, we're back.
20:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I do like that they circle into like, Rory going through the crisis of like, oh God, what am I?
20:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Who do I want to be?
20:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of what I was wanting, right?
20:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Is like that exact thing.
20:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I wish they, we both said when we rewatched the series together that we wish that they had leaned into that a little bit more.
20:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, because that episode where French twist where Luke and Laura lie, or I'm sorry.
20:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, Laura line Chris, go to Paris and Laurie takes Lucy and Olivia back to her house and they're going through the photo albums and she's like clearly having a mentee be.
20:50
[SPEAKER_03]: we kind of wish that there had been more emphasis put on the fact that like when worry was in high school and even the first little bits of college she was really like had a path she knew exactly who she wanted to be and like yeah in their reminiscence of like worries childhood and looking at pictures of dean and and looking at her like her height chart that's like written on the closet it's like you can guess people's heights from pictures
21:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
21:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that was weird.
21:16
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but I just, I wish that they would have leaned in a little bit more to like, oh my god, worry, you were like, you were the valedictorian, you were this you were that that like that is also what adds to re being kind of this tail spin.
21:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah of like,
21:32
[SPEAKER_03]: I have no idea what I'm doing.
21:33
[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't just about Paris being like, so where are you applying?
21:36
[SPEAKER_03]: When are you doing grad school this?
21:38
[SPEAKER_03]: That I think that alone, maybe would have had worry being like, okay, yeah, I really need to think about these things and her, you know, relinquishing her title is editor of the L. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J.
21:48
[SPEAKER_00]: And I love the school year.
21:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, which I guess happened with Doyle as well in season six, but I just wish they leaned into that a little bit more because I'm with you that like,
21:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Because they have the episode where she's, I guess we're like, right following where she doesn't get the fellowship.
22:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's like her.
22:04
[SPEAKER_00]: She has a dream sequence of the life, but you were so they had got to the chase limit earlier.
22:09
[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, it's just like they kind of dropped those bread crumbs a little bit earlier.
22:12
[SPEAKER_03]: And then she picks back up and she's like, I'm in a play for the rest in fellowship.
22:15
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go for the pro Joe and all of this stuff.
22:17
[SPEAKER_03]: And like, you see her get her pep and her stuff back.
22:19
[SPEAKER_03]: And then she doesn't get it.
22:20
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, yeah, I am with you that I appreciate in those last few episodes.
22:25
[SPEAKER_03]: It is like, she scrambling.
22:26
[SPEAKER_03]: everyone around her is getting what they want, seemingly, and she's the only one who's like, what am I doing with my life?
22:32
[SPEAKER_03]: I grew with you in that moment, 100%.
22:35
[SPEAKER_03]: It was like really cool to see Rory for what's talking about.
22:37
[SPEAKER_03]: She wants a Laura like speaks to that when she and Luke have that conversation where he's like how she doing.
22:41
[SPEAKER_03]: She's like, well, Laura is used to getting what Rory wants.
22:44
[SPEAKER_03]: because that is a character trait.
22:46
[SPEAKER_03]: We talk about a lot on this podcast in school with boys in a lot of ways.
22:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, it's relatable to a totally totally like she's a small big fish and a small pond that then all of a sudden is out and like trying to apply to the New York Times and it's like, hey, this is reality.
23:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for sure.
23:05
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's interesting that the job she ends up getting is through Hugo, who is a connection she made via Logan.
23:10
[SPEAKER_03]: And he was impressed by her because she was the editor of the elderly news and because she wrote pieces for him for sure.
23:15
[SPEAKER_03]: But you're right, that at the end of the day, it's not necessarily school that got her that job on the Obama campaign trail.
23:20
[SPEAKER_03]: It was connection.
23:21
[SPEAKER_03]: That was kind of her boyfriend.
23:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Not really, like Hugo, obviously.
23:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, of course.
23:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Of course.
23:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Like respected her.
23:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
23:28
[SPEAKER_03]: But it wasn't school that got her that job specifically.
23:32
[SPEAKER_03]: It was connections and networking and things that she could have done, had she not been at Yale, but I'm glad she went back.
23:39
[SPEAKER_03]: How do you feel?
23:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Go to parties.
23:42
[SPEAKER_00]: The lesson we learned.
23:44
[SPEAKER_00]: How do I feel?
23:45
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I think that like the, it's such a, like, I'm so, I'm happy that she went back.
23:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm happy that she went back with the mindset of like,
23:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Why did you drop out of y'all?
23:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know what I mean.
23:58
[SPEAKER_00]: What I mean.
24:00
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
24:00
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
24:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And sweet, sweet, sweet.
24:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
24:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Just the way that they tie sort of tidy up his storyline.
24:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And so sad, in terms of like, from a fan perspective,
24:13
[SPEAKER_00]: or maybe not sad like he's living life he always wanted to live.
24:15
[SPEAKER_00]: That's great.
24:16
[SPEAKER_00]: It's that last like Rory Act of like hey the last time we're ever going to see you on this show is like I'm going to kiss you to make sure that I love this other guy.
24:23
[SPEAKER_01]: But that is sad.
24:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
24:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but ultimately him reminding her who she is or who she wants to be.
24:32
[SPEAKER_00]: starts this catalyst of like actually finding out finding her own path, which I think is great.
24:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that she goes back and she really starts to dig into that and things don't go well for her necessarily, but she is doing it on her own terms, which feels like grip.
24:49
[SPEAKER_01]: for sure.
24:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what Laura wanted for her.
24:53
[SPEAKER_01]: She knew she had to get back on her own.
24:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yes.
24:58
[SPEAKER_03]: Speaking of the boys, you predicted that Rory ends up with Logan, but thought that he might be a Christopher part two in the sense that maybe Rory might end up pregnant with Logan's baby.
25:10
[SPEAKER_01]: But you were 75 to 80% sure that they ended up
25:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that, especially in season 7, what I liked about her and Jess, I think is sort of- Logan?
25:22
[SPEAKER_00]: No, sorry.
25:22
[SPEAKER_00]: What I liked about her and Jess is sort of picked up by Logan in a new way.
25:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Where, like, when your team Jess, it's because Jess is like, hey, I see who you- I see a version of you that I think you can really thrive in.
25:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
25:40
[SPEAKER_00]: And what I have come like what I come to appreciate about Logan is that he's like I see the version of you that you are and I think that it's amazing and he doesn't really he's like this life is a life that you are a part of whether you like it or not.
25:56
[SPEAKER_00]: But you're doing your version of it.
25:58
[SPEAKER_00]: He supports it like season seven is a lot of like things are going good.
26:00
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of healthy sort of relationship things happening.
26:04
[SPEAKER_00]: that's how you know things are going wrong right with the show right right healthy communication yeah they're having healthy communication he's going through issues but then he's sort of like oh it's me I'm sorry I'm going crazy I just lost three million dollars that I had
26:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we all do it every once in a while.
26:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's not a shit thing.
26:23
[SPEAKER_00]: So if I had a nickels, you know, I still wouldn't have been really dollars.
26:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
26:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate that he, what he brought out of her, the journey that they went on together, I appreciate that she makes the final choice of like I could do this.
26:41
[SPEAKER_00]: And I could go with you.
26:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And I could have a really, really happy life.
26:44
[SPEAKER_00]: And the picture that you painted is beautiful.
26:46
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's your picture, not mine.
26:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And I need to go do that.
26:51
[SPEAKER_00]: It is sort of a parallel to Christopher Lourlay where it's like, you were the person that I wanted to want for 20 years, you know what I mean?
26:59
[SPEAKER_00]: But just this, it's just not right.
27:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I've been in that relationship.
27:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I've been in relationships that are like that are good, but are not right.
27:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
27:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, Kudos to that.
27:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad you feel that way.
27:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I think I think it's important.
27:15
[SPEAKER_00]: And I appreciate that Rory at 22, whatever it is, is able to sort of go, all right.
27:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I've had that exact relationship.
27:24
[SPEAKER_00]: My college girlfriend and I dated for a long time and then kind of after college went like, hey, look, we did the thing, but I think that like we need to go grow somewhere else and see what happens.
27:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I know Logan is heartbroken his walk away, the way that it ends, like the last scene with him.
27:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he's devastated, but
27:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate that they didn't let him get spiteful, it doesn't feel spiteful.
27:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he just walks away feeling hurt.
27:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
27:54
[SPEAKER_03]: He is quite curt with her and his departure.
27:59
[SPEAKER_00]: He's good by Marie.
28:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Good by Marie.
28:01
[SPEAKER_00]: And his pants in his pants, in his pants that don't fit.
28:05
[SPEAKER_01]: See?
28:05
[SPEAKER_01]: This man is supposedly very wealthy.
28:09
[SPEAKER_01]: You can't find a suit that fits him to save his life.
28:12
[SPEAKER_01]: It's all I can do.
28:13
[SPEAKER_00]: It's all I can do.
28:14
[SPEAKER_01]: He's wearing the same exact suit in the life and death brigade jumping scene that he measures with sister's wedding and that he graduates from college in a brown suit.
28:22
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have a tailor?
28:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Did you find it, did you, did you forget it was this?
28:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, did you like steal this from Mitcham's closet?
28:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Is this from Machiko's?
28:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what is the tail here, my dude?
28:36
[SPEAKER_01]: You're a huntspur.
28:37
[SPEAKER_00]: It's tough, yeah.
28:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you had three dollars just to, like, We're putting Orla in Diane von Fersonberg, and she lives in Starris, Hala.
28:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that can we talk about that?
28:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, the dress in just like right at the time.
28:53
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not Diane Vaughn for some work.
28:55
[SPEAKER_03]: We found out because we googled it But the dress with the time.
28:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Mm-hmm.
28:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, we Gushed over that dress.
29:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like like five or six times in the scene was so short.
29:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, she's in that dress Yeah, the stories aren't always great, but lower-rise fashions in season seven are
29:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Alie, yeah, I'm the first one.
29:12
[SPEAKER_01]: All of the bunch it for that show went to those wrap dresses.
29:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but that, you will put me.
29:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
29:21
[SPEAKER_03]: That dress at the beginning of just like writing a bike.
29:22
[SPEAKER_03]: It's called the Scarlet Tie dress, or that something dress would make sense.
29:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Really, really beautiful.
29:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's iconic.
29:29
[SPEAKER_00]: It's iconic.
29:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Love.
29:30
[SPEAKER_03]: OK, back to your predictions.
29:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Now I will say before I move on from Logan though, I wouldn't call it spiteful, but I just don't feel like his reaction is that of someone who was ready to get married.
29:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Nor was it if someone who really truly loved this person that they had been with for three years.
29:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's like, I don't want to move backwards.
29:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
29:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we're not moving backward.
29:51
[SPEAKER_01]: We're just we're here together now.
29:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and Rory offers solutions, but also we talked about, we talked about like two episodes ago.
29:59
[SPEAKER_00]: It was like, refactor each other in.
30:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we talked about a lot on the podcast.
30:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it's like, it turns out I didn't like your factors, so I'm not going to include them.
30:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so yeah, it's just a weird shift.
30:12
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, a weird weird shift.
30:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
30:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because if you had asked 15-year-old me shattered, devastated, I sat there staring at the TV, I think whatever came on at 9 p.m. was on, and I just was, I have no idea what it was, because I just sat there, like, distraught, even though I knew it was going to happen.
30:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, this is going to be different this time, and it wasn't.
30:32
[SPEAKER_01]: And then when we got to the finale, I was like, he's going to show up.
30:36
[SPEAKER_01]: He has to.
30:36
[SPEAKER_01]: They can't just, like, not have them show up, and they didn't.
30:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I really expected her to say yes.
30:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
30:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I really did.
30:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I expected when they'd sell when they I don't know what I was like the exact scene But like there's like the horse and buggy situation happening and they like at the party when she's gonna answer him and then it cuts away back to the party I don't know I was like, well, they're gonna ride the carriage into the party Or says gonna come in suck Like the cool aid man.
31:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we are
31:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
31:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
31:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I did expect, I did expect her to say yes.
31:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wow.
31:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And then when she wasn't least surprised when she didn't, and she stuck to it.
31:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like.
31:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
31:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
31:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
31:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
31:19
[SPEAKER_01]: That ring up her sleeve.
31:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
31:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
31:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
31:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Pulled it out of her.
31:24
[SPEAKER_00]: It's part time magician.
31:26
[SPEAKER_03]: It is as you've said, like, it's very admirable that she said no to that.
31:32
[SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.
31:33
[SPEAKER_03]: because she was like, I love you.
31:35
[SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, yeah, I love you too, but I don't want to move backwards.
31:38
[SPEAKER_03]: And she's like, is that truly the only option?
31:39
[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, yeah, and she's like, yeah, okay, because in that moment she could have been like, okay, well, I guess if those are the only options I'd like to be with you.
31:46
[SPEAKER_03]: So I guess, yes, like, what?
31:49
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the ultimate impduer feels sort of out of character in that moment.
31:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Totally, totally, especially after they had just been like, yeah, let's figure this out together.
31:59
[SPEAKER_01]: And then two episodes later, he said, I figured it out without you.
32:02
[SPEAKER_03]: yeah goodbye goodbye yeah crazy anyway moving into some of your other predictions you predicted well when it came to the elder gillmons you said one of them's got to die I was this close
32:17
[SPEAKER_01]: you said that one of them was going to die in a car crash or something.
32:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, specifically.
32:22
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're watching.
32:24
[SPEAKER_01]: How did you feel when they didn't?
32:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we're watching to whom it may concern, right?
32:28
[SPEAKER_03]: And we're watching, Laura Lye with the letter and Chris finds the letter and your reaction was very much like, why is he so mad about it?
32:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Why is he mad?
32:38
[SPEAKER_03]: And then like he leaves and he's like, damn, like, Laura Lye's in the trenches.
32:42
[SPEAKER_03]: And then we cut to the scene with Richard in the lecture home.
32:45
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry.
32:46
[SPEAKER_03]: So it's hard.
32:47
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a cold.
32:48
[SPEAKER_03]: They're going to kill her.
32:50
[SPEAKER_01]: You said I was this close.
32:52
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, what do you mean?
32:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Like he goes to have the heart attack.
32:57
[SPEAKER_02]: He was like, they are not going to kill this woman's father right now.
33:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Like she's in the trenches.
33:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy.
33:04
[SPEAKER_00]: This is like the show hates Lane, but in this stretch, this show hates Laura lie.
33:10
[SPEAKER_03]: They got her.
33:11
[SPEAKER_03]: They were kidding.
33:12
[SPEAKER_03]: But we sat there after to whom it may concern.
33:14
[SPEAKER_03]: And he's laying on the bed and he goes, well, we have to watch another one.
33:18
[SPEAKER_03]: I can't earn it in a hard attack.
33:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no.
33:22
[SPEAKER_03]: And then I'd rather be in Philadelphia was one of Brought's favorite episodes.
33:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I really love that.
33:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Me too.
33:29
[SPEAKER_00]: We love that episode.
33:30
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's like almost like what do they call it?
33:33
[SPEAKER_01]: A bottle episode, a box episode.
33:36
[SPEAKER_03]: A little bit of a bottle episode, a lot of it.
33:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Like where it's in the hospital, but.
33:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
33:39
[SPEAKER_03]: And then Chris, you wrote a song.
33:41
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm angry.
33:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not afraid.
33:44
[SPEAKER_03]: A bottle episode is where they just shoot one episode in this location.
33:47
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a one location.
33:49
[SPEAKER_04]: It's usually almost a bottle.
33:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Like a ship in a bottle.
33:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Like a ship in a bottle.
33:53
[SPEAKER_00]: But the ship is a shell.
33:55
[SPEAKER_02]: The bottle is a hospital and the ship is going more girls.
34:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
34:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Are they going more girls?
34:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
34:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Is there more girls?
34:03
[SPEAKER_01]: But how did you feel about Chris showing up angry at the end?
34:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
34:10
[SPEAKER_01]: The same way.
34:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Just like, what do you, what do you do it?
34:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
34:15
[SPEAKER_01]: What are you doing?
34:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I actually thought that maybe he was never, I thought that maybe he was just gone.
34:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that would have been I sort of like I like that episode because it I like that episode and it does Things that I thought were going to happen in that episode Yeah, when we you know when everything happened with the hospital and everything as we were watching that episode He was like I know what's going to happen like she's going to need him He's not going to be there and Luke's gonna show up and that's exactly what happened Yeah, but I don't know that you necessarily expected Christopher to come molting in at the end like oh
34:47
[SPEAKER_00]: No, we are going to, maybe we're going to discuss it later, but we are going to discuss.
34:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, oh, we're going to discuss.
34:53
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't you worry.
34:54
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't you, Fred.
34:54
[SPEAKER_00]: The, the, the, the wrestling match.
34:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, just the way to see.
35:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Wait.
35:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, the, is, is I'd rather be in Philadelphia than one where it seems like the bet is at gunpoint?
35:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
35:08
[UNKNOWN]: Yes.
35:10
[SPEAKER_03]: So, I told you that she comes, when she came into the
35:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Luke, I don't know how to tell you this.
35:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, surprise.
35:15
[SPEAKER_00]: This would never happen.
35:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Why did this happen like this?
35:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this and that's kind of what we talked about a lot as we watched Season 7 and what you and I, Haley have talked about a lot watching Season 7 is that like there are so many other ways they could have done this and yet they chose this way, the writers, you know, it's like, but we talked about this in when we did our coverage of Season 7.
35:36
[SPEAKER_03]: But Matt and Patty could have been talking about it at the table in Luke over here and he takes the initiative to go.
35:41
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but that would never walk into the diner me like, I don't know how to tell you this like, you know that's a favorite thing is to tell people things.
35:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's that's true.
35:48
[SPEAKER_03]: That is true.
35:49
[SPEAKER_03]: But also she wouldn't go to the diner to tell Luke, who's not with Laura lie anymore.
35:54
[SPEAKER_03]: As far as, but that's concerned Christopher and Laura lie are still a couple.
35:58
[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know.
35:59
[SPEAKER_03]: It just felt really weird.
36:00
[SPEAKER_03]: It just felt like a really weird delivery.
36:02
[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, so it does seem like she was being held at gun point telling.
36:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
36:07
[SPEAKER_01]: She had to do it.
36:08
[SPEAKER_01]: She had to do it.
36:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Someone had to do it.
36:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and then the final prediction, speaking of Luke, that you were really, really, really gung-haw about, was that Luke was going to quote unquote, fuck off somewhere else.
36:19
[SPEAKER_01]: You really wanted to believe.
36:20
[SPEAKER_01]: But the thing was, you said that, but you had a very interesting thought process to get the decision that you wanted to do.
36:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because you started with like, oh, they're going to be best friends.
36:30
[SPEAKER_01]: And like, they're going to say friends, but Chris and Laura like, are going to be married.
36:33
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you're like, no, actually I think Luke is going to fuck off, but then he's going to fuck right back and he's going to be back and start as hollow and then you were like, wait, maybe he's actually going to leave maybe he's going to go be with Jess and like they're going to like hang out together and be pals and then you just decided that you quote, I would like loop to get out like it was like a yeah I experiment so I felt that way.
36:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I felt that way like almost all the way through the end of it when the boat trip came up.
37:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
37:05
[SPEAKER_03]: He was like great get out go go somewhere else get out of here.
37:08
[SPEAKER_03]: Like his driving when he was driving.
37:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, just get lost.
37:12
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, man.
37:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Just go out.
37:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Not know when I was driving in episode two when he famously punches Christopher.
37:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
37:20
[SPEAKER_03]: He was like, good, go, leave, get out of here.
37:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but I was really rooting for Luke to go find himself somewhere else.
37:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.
37:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I, I guess I appreciate the fact that they sort of center him as this like town father figure.
37:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Luke is now the guy that raises everyone's kids.
37:40
[SPEAKER_00]: um of course which is great and when the when the when he sells his dad's boat and buys his own and I sort of got this feeling of just like this is it.
37:51
[SPEAKER_00]: This is Luke being like I'm going to do my life.
37:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I've got to go do my life.
37:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not doing it anymore.
37:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I've got to go my own way.
37:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
37:57
[SPEAKER_01]: You're real amountez.
37:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that he was going to like he because especially when he was like, yeah, I bought a boat.
38:02
[SPEAKER_00]: It's got a bed.
38:03
[SPEAKER_00]: It's got a like you could live on a sort of situation.
38:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, he's going to go live because of my apartment.
38:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was like, I'm seeing sign me up and also get out of there.
38:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Go sail around.
38:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Go sail up the coast.
38:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Never come back.
38:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Go live in Newfoundland or something.
38:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Newfoundland.
38:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, go far.
38:19
[SPEAKER_00]: be a manga.
38:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.
38:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
38:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
38:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Luke's diner has done.
38:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it would have been.
38:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I thought there was something nice about that.
38:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and I know the show is about the community.
38:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
38:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And I guess Rory is the one that finally leaves, but there's saw there's something to that one person that does actually go.
38:40
[SPEAKER_00]: And there was something really nice to me about like
38:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, maybe going to be with Jess, maybe going to California, maybe going somewhere else.
38:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Anywhere up here.
38:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
38:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Were you disappointed that he didn't leave?
38:56
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I think it feels nice that he and Laura do end up together.
39:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Their conversation, I mean, like the when they're standing in the not so subtle maze,
39:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I was literally like, I'm not an actual crawler like fork in the road with Rory and, uh, and, uh, and, Logan, like, Luis, if they could have been more.
39:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's that one shot.
39:21
[SPEAKER_00]: That's like, oh, we could go one path or another.
39:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I think our hands are all right.
39:25
[SPEAKER_02]: But I was like, no, I don't know.
39:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
39:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
39:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate that Luke and Laura like, kind of double-speak, um, towards each other, something, you know, and then having them end up together feels correct.
39:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for sure, if it was going to be any of them, like any of the couples.
39:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, look, but where we started at the beginning of season seven, like quarter way through the season, I was like, maybe nobody should be happy.
39:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe maybe we all end up unhappy.
39:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we all end up unhappy.
39:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we all end up unhappy.
39:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Hello, Leia's no one.
39:53
[SPEAKER_00]: And like, that's fine.
39:55
[SPEAKER_03]: And it was just where we in Lorelei all along.
39:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, also would have been great.
39:59
[SPEAKER_03]: That would have been a very interesting finale.
40:01
[SPEAKER_03]: But I think that the audience wanted to see Luke and Lorelei end up together.
40:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course.
40:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, like it's the, you know, there's the Ratchet Ross and Rachel.
40:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
40:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I appreciate that it, what I'm going to stop saying, I appreciate, I've said that 100 times.
40:14
[SPEAKER_01]: We love your gratitude.
40:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
40:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just really appreciative of how much we are.
40:20
[SPEAKER_00]: like how I met your mother.
40:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I like that it wasn't that sort of an ending.
40:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, where they're just like, no we're these two are ending up and it because they have to.
40:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
40:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I liked that it was it felt deserved.
40:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
40:36
[SPEAKER_00]: It felt like yeah this is right.
40:37
[SPEAKER_00]: If not Luke leaving and Laura lied being fine on her own because she's always been fine.
40:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Been fine.
40:45
[SPEAKER_00]: That would have been lovely too.
40:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that
40:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I want somebody for lower lie, I always did, it didn't have to be Luke, but I would have been totally fine with her sort of like, yeah.
40:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Can I ask you something that we talked about in season seven that there were a lot of people like a lot of mixed reviews on?
41:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Was that we felt like them having their kiss at the end?
41:08
[SPEAKER_03]: Was it necessarily deserved?
41:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Was it earned by the end?
41:12
[SPEAKER_03]: We did, you did.
41:15
[SPEAKER_03]: We did.
41:17
[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm saying that to her, but I'm not having the kiss.
41:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Having them like standing in the middle of the street kind of staring at each other like this is the new beginning.
41:25
[SPEAKER_03]: They don't kiss.
41:26
[SPEAKER_03]: No, they do kiss.
41:27
[SPEAKER_03]: No, they do kiss.
41:28
[SPEAKER_03]: We thought that maybe it would have been a stronger ending if they didn't.
41:32
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, oh, I see.
41:34
[SPEAKER_03]: But it wasn't to serve that we felt like the kiss wasn't necessarily earned because it kind of like, you know, she breaks up with Christopher.
41:40
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
41:40
[SPEAKER_03]: And then all of a sudden like the everything starts steering back to loop, but it kind of like, then accelerates and it's like, okay, and now they're back together.
41:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
41:47
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's like back and forth and back and forth because I think the last time that he sees her before that moment, like just the two of them, they're yelling at each other in the street.
41:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not like yelling, but like you're having an argument.
41:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's a little success.
42:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's undercarking the box.
42:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
42:03
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the moment after the karaoke and she's like, oh, it didn't mean anything any hears or.
42:08
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and then later in the evening, they like kind of things.
42:11
[SPEAKER_00]: They will see.
42:11
[SPEAKER_00]: And you're like stop pretending that you're not going to do the thing.
42:14
[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to do the thing.
42:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, so and and we have mixed feedback on that because people were like, no, we need to see them kiss it.
42:20
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, yeah, I totally get thided, but they're not kissed.
42:22
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, yeah, but like a gentler moment, perhaps like they think there's something more romantic in the tension than in the action, because sometimes it'll it'll let you down.
42:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's true.
42:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate that.
42:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
42:37
[SPEAKER_01]: appreciate that.
42:38
[SPEAKER_03]: He appreciate that.
42:39
[SPEAKER_03]: I appreciate that.
42:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate that.
42:41
[SPEAKER_03]: I appreciate that.
42:41
[SPEAKER_03]: I appreciate that.
42:42
[SPEAKER_03]: I appreciate that.
42:43
[SPEAKER_03]: I appreciate that.
42:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
42:44
[SPEAKER_03]: So moving out of predictions.
42:46
[SPEAKER_03]: I really want to like kind of go back to the beginning of season six and like we've talked a lot about a lot of the things that our best few side questions about that.
42:53
[SPEAKER_03]: We had questions about but before we get into it, one of our listeners asked, what is a plot line or moment in these last two seasons that you weren't expecting?
43:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Lane with twins.
43:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I was wondering when you were going to bring it up.
43:09
[SPEAKER_00]: The lane with twins is so brutal.
43:12
[SPEAKER_01]: We have twins.
43:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure it's on the first go of it.
43:15
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, yeah, it's lane loses her virginity.
43:19
[SPEAKER_00]: on a beach and it's bad and she gets pregnant and then she has twins and then Zach gets to go on tour and not her.
43:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
43:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody hurts sometimes.
43:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
43:32
[SPEAKER_03]: So for you're still echoing the sentiment that you did in the last episode, you were here with us on the writer's hate lane.
43:40
[SPEAKER_00]: The writer's hate lane.
43:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, though I will say in the last episode, you said Zach is fine.
43:47
[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
43:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you still feel that way?
43:48
[SPEAKER_03]: I do.
43:49
[SPEAKER_03]: How did you feel about his tantrum in season six when he like gets all upset and then he and Lane break up?
43:54
[SPEAKER_03]: And then he goes to Bonnie Mike.
43:56
[SPEAKER_03]: His over is Gwen Stefani Mike and the band breaks up and then all of a sudden he proposes to Lane.
44:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, ugh.
44:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, I mean at that time, it's the what the fifth proposal on the show that happens as a result of conflict.
44:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And conflict.
44:09
[SPEAKER_01]: The only happen in middle of conflict, so.
44:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he acted childishly, but I think that he has a nice arc.
44:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I think once those babies are in that belly, he, he, he, he, he steps up.
44:25
[SPEAKER_00]: He does the thing.
44:26
[SPEAKER_00]: He's, he is, he is himself and he is immediately like a dad.
44:33
[SPEAKER_00]: He's immediately like, let's do the thing.
44:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I wish that Lane kind of got her, her thing.
44:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because he says his mother's everything.
44:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe, but it's just like, she says, you know, upon being pregnant and upon, you know, Zach, like, everybody wants to help her and she's like, no, I'm mad because I got maybe like five minutes, like a sliver of freedom away from my mom.
44:56
[SPEAKER_03]: We were married.
44:57
[SPEAKER_03]: We had sex and all of a sudden now, like, I'm pregnant.
45:01
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to be beholden to these children for the next 18 years of my life.
45:05
[SPEAKER_03]: And like, I think it just would have been really cool.
45:10
[SPEAKER_03]: If, because obviously she finds the meaning in like motherhood and there's something so beautiful about that.
45:15
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
45:15
[SPEAKER_03]: However, I think for Lane, we talked about this when we did our season 7 review.
45:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Haley, that like, it would have been much better.
45:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Or a much more interesting storyline to have Lane be offered to the opportunity.
45:28
[SPEAKER_03]: After having this moment in season 7 of like, my life is quote unquote over.
45:33
[SPEAKER_03]: Getting the offer to go on tour and like someone choosing her.
45:39
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
45:40
[SPEAKER_03]: And like through her music, I could have been really cool.
45:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
45:43
[SPEAKER_00]: For Lain.
45:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if they, I mean, you guys know because there's movies, but like I sort of trying to fan-fick, I'm trying to put myself in that- Oh, fan-fick, please.
45:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to, in the world where the movies don't exist, and I'm like, do they make it?
46:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
46:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
46:02
[SPEAKER_03]: No, we've also talked about that, totally.
46:04
[SPEAKER_00]: That I don't know.
46:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
46:06
[SPEAKER_00]: That I'm not.
46:07
[SPEAKER_00]: That I can't figure out, but I do appreciate where he ends up.
46:12
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I like where he ends up.
46:13
[SPEAKER_03]: We like it better in season seven than we did in seasons three through six.
46:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
46:21
[SPEAKER_03]: yeah kind of a trash boyfriend like yeah really tough start really tough start but we're gonna be talking about that in next week's episode young people themselves yeah yeah yeah it's just yeah we're gonna pack it a little bit more but like it's just that like with Lane they just and I I've said this to you before that like they had davour galski who was is very romanticized in the fandom and was because he was very antique only the very romantic
46:47
[SPEAKER_03]: But then they basically were like, okay, we're just not going to bring anybody else in here.
46:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Who's standing around lanesack?
46:54
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, Zach's standing around lanes.
46:55
[SPEAKER_03]: So let's let's just make him the new weapon.
46:58
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what have been interesting?
46:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Who?
46:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Marty.
47:00
[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about that.
47:01
[SPEAKER_03]: We did talk about Marty.
47:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Which we need to talk about Marty and seasons out.
47:05
[SPEAKER_00]: There would have been a cool, that maybe could have been.
47:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I totally agree.
47:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, roaring introduces like not me, but.
47:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I can't believe a green.
47:15
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so sorry.
47:16
[SPEAKER_03]: I said that because yeah, no, I said that in our We did like a he was when we did a Marty episode, but I did talk about land and Marty and how Yeah, it was called it shouldn't have been Marty.
47:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, we did I guess we did we just talked about so much It's like have we talked?
47:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I know we did, right?
47:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe yeah, okay?
47:33
[SPEAKER_03]: So let's roll it back to the beginning of season six Do you remember that?
47:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you remember that?
47:39
[SPEAKER_00]: the episode the beginning of season six is lower lie has just proposed to Luke.
47:46
[SPEAKER_03]: So knowing what you know now last week's episode we actually did we posed to the question of whether we popped the question and asked whether or not Luke was really all in you know when he sits lower like down season five and he's like I'm in I'm all in knowing what you know now it's too part of do you think he should have said yes to
48:06
[SPEAKER_03]: And do you think Luke was really all in on her given what happens throughout the duration of season 6 with April?
48:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that it was.
48:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think he was ready for me?
48:15
[SPEAKER_00]: It was an inevitable that he would have said yes to that.
48:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
48:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see a world in which that guy who as you talked about with me and perhaps I'm sure you've talked about here that has pined over to her for so long would have said no.
48:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Would have been like, you know what, let's slow down here for us.
48:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
48:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not throwing away my shot vibes.
48:37
[SPEAKER_00]: 100%.
48:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure.
48:38
[SPEAKER_00]: whether or not I thought he I think he should have he was always going to yeah um I don't think she should have asked you think he should have asked know that she could have asked yeah but that was the wrong moment I actually think he could have been fun if she asked like I don't mind that she asked yeah it's fun
48:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's great and I think that that's like an interesting thing that Laura Lai Gilmore would totally do.
48:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, absolutely.
49:00
[SPEAKER_03]: And I like the expectation for the audience on this ear because of course everybody's probably waiting an anticipation for Luke to finally propose to Laura Lai at some point and she beats him to it.
49:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I wish that it could have been nicer, you know, I wish that it could have been.
49:14
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I love that proposal so much it's so emotional.
49:18
[SPEAKER_03]: But I understand that you wish that it hadn't been in a moment of conflict.
49:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I think that like what I wanted us like the rooting for them fandom is like the I want lower lies 10,000 jealous.
49:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that was really 10,000.
49:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she wants even more.
49:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, totally.
49:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Because you know, it's cute that he's like dragging his feet.
49:40
[SPEAKER_00]: And then she's like, hey, look, come on.
49:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's do this.
49:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for sure.
49:45
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, yeah, the April, the April paradox, right where he says at the end of the show, like I think that I used April to push you away from me, it was confusing, it was sort of very out of character.
50:01
[SPEAKER_03]: He's never been that self-aware.
50:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
50:04
[SPEAKER_03]: How very seasoned seven of him.
50:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
50:08
[SPEAKER_00]: It was hard to watch because he shows up in a great way for April and like the one time that he finally lets Laura lie in is like, oh great.
50:18
[SPEAKER_00]: See, we can do this.
50:20
[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to be great.
50:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And then this woman,
50:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Who's mad that I don't know you from Adam, but you're girlfriend.
50:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, I talked to my daughter and that's sort of like a catalyst that that I mean that's really the straw that broke the camel's back.
50:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
50:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Four.
50:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, lie.
50:39
[SPEAKER_00]: It's such it's it's it's a tragedy.
50:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe that I can't think of another word to say.
50:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't believe it.
50:51
[SPEAKER_01]: That'll be the title of this app.
50:53
[SPEAKER_00]: That is a system time.
50:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Easy to me.
50:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Brett appreciates.
50:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm super proud to appreciate this season.
50:59
[SPEAKER_00]: This season's the opportunity.
51:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
51:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyone knows anything about you.
51:05
[SPEAKER_01]: It is you are grateful.
51:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I am so grateful to be here.
51:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I got to re-books.
51:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I, my thoughts completely derailed.
51:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I love that he centers his life around being a good dad.
51:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I like that the purpose that she brings to him, I wish that it didn't have to be one or the other.
51:26
[SPEAKER_00]: One or the other.
51:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, the ultimatum felt weird.
51:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
51:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, what I do not know the ultimatum of or or the the it's my life is is April now and you can't be a part of like separation of life.
51:39
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
51:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
51:40
[SPEAKER_03]: The ultimatum loop.
51:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't get there to you and also be a dad.
51:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
51:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
51:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
51:45
[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't know how to multitask.
51:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
51:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
51:48
[SPEAKER_03]: And especially given, I mean, we've talked about this topic to death, but given the fact that Laura like Elmar herself raised a daughter, that he considers to be his own daughter, they're engaged now.
51:59
[SPEAKER_03]: He helped in a lot of ways, raise worry.
52:02
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the woman you're with and you're not going to ask her for help.
52:04
[SPEAKER_03]: You're not going to tell her.
52:06
[SPEAKER_03]: You're not going to include her.
52:07
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's just so, and even the excuse in the
52:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Once I introduce you into April's life, like it'll be over for me is just one of those things that like I get it But that is just kind of like what how did what how did we get here?
52:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so duh of course she's gonna like her have you ever met you
52:28
[SPEAKER_00]: It's famously a Kermut.
52:30
[SPEAKER_01]: A Kermut, Dan.
52:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you're true.
52:32
[SPEAKER_00]: But that's one thing that I don't like about their fight is on both sides.
52:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Laura, I knows this person.
52:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And I understand that it's like, hey, why am I not, why are you not in this?
52:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Why are we not getting married?
52:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Why don't I, why do I feel like you don't want this when you told me you were all in?
52:48
[SPEAKER_00]: We should get married right now, right now.
52:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me right now.
52:52
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going right now.
52:53
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's two people that know each other so well.
52:57
[SPEAKER_00]: having a really intense miscommunication.
53:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, but they did have a conversation about it in Martha's Vineyard, where she told him, like, I'm kind of feeling like you don't want to do this.
53:08
[SPEAKER_03]: And he was like, what do you mean?
53:09
[SPEAKER_03]: No, of course not.
53:10
[SPEAKER_03]: And like, she tells him that she's feeling insecure.
53:13
[SPEAKER_03]: She tells him she needs to hear from him more like, you know, that I'm in this and I love you.
53:17
[SPEAKER_03]: And he doesn't fall through.
53:19
[SPEAKER_03]: And yes, of course, she knows him.
53:22
[SPEAKER_03]: But at the same time, she doesn't really know this version of him, because I don't think Luke knows this version.
53:26
[SPEAKER_03]: So confused he's no idea he's like having an identity crisis, and of course he is because he's a dad now It's gonna be trying to figure out a mom to draw 100% But he acquiesce is so much to Anna and I'm curious on your thoughts on Anna well the acquiescence Yeah big thumbs down on the acquiescence yeah and and her Sentiment of like engaged isn't married and I don't want you, you know bringing a stranger around my daughter in saying it's insane behavior
53:54
[SPEAKER_01]: it is it is um very aggressive aggressive yet short let me I'll walk back a little bit I mean well one of the reasons I'm glad that Tara bought this up is because in the last episode something we were talking about was your mom Miss Nancy and that she was like a writer
54:17
[SPEAKER_01]: often times in Gilmory visited on Patreon, ask a question to her, and because she always listened, she would answer it in the comments, and she had just left like a paragraph long response to something we had asked her, and we couldn't tell you about it at the time, because it was about Anna, and it was about the situation with April.
54:34
[SPEAKER_01]: And because we we've never been in that situation where we have a daughter who
54:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Suddenly, an adult person is coming into their life, and we have to navigate that.
54:44
[SPEAKER_01]: And we, as her response, is that she had a lot more empathy for Anna than we ever did, because of her experience, of having people come into...
54:54
[SPEAKER_01]: you and your sister's lives, so it's when we read that, we were like, wow, yes, okay, we see it, but at the same time.
55:02
[SPEAKER_03]: It was definitely a very interesting perspective to have because that's kind of when we got to this episode, Supergirl Party people on Patreon and we were talking about it and talking about how ridiculous we felt and like extreme we felt Anna's reaction was.
55:17
[SPEAKER_03]: It was a very interesting moment for the two of us because we were like, well, we're not moms.
55:22
[SPEAKER_03]: And so like the call to action for like, hey, if there are moms out there who disagree and your mom Hey, you're a mom.
55:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I wish you could see her right now, but she's back there and I thank you for recognizing me.
55:35
[SPEAKER_03]: But your mom, you know, we also were like Nancy, she's a mom with love to hear your opinions thoughts and perspective as someone who, you know, you were there, had to, you know, be very cautious about introducing
55:48
[SPEAKER_03]: partners in the relationship.
55:52
[SPEAKER_03]: And so reading her response to that was very eye-opening.
55:57
[SPEAKER_03]: It was great to hear another experience.
55:59
[SPEAKER_03]: And perspective because we're also looking at it from the standpoint of, hey, this is a TV show.
56:04
[SPEAKER_03]: But be like looking at it within the narrative of like these are the main characters we're rooting for.
56:09
[SPEAKER_03]: And you are making this more complicated for the main character that I root for.
56:13
[SPEAKER_03]: And then you love her.
56:14
[SPEAKER_03]: that you're like, I want to be together and you're kind of shitting all over that Anna.
56:19
[SPEAKER_03]: The method was the crazy part.
56:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the mama, the mama bear version, like the mama bear feelings we get.
56:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
56:26
[SPEAKER_00]: The television, like, stakes of it.
56:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
56:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I think is where it's like,
56:31
[SPEAKER_01]: He just doesn't marry.
56:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Ma'am.
56:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, ma'am.
56:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
56:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Because like what she did wasn't what Laura Lai did, I didn't think like was such a big deal.
56:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Out of line, right?
56:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she was girlfriend through our party.
56:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, right.
56:47
[SPEAKER_01]: It's more of that.
56:48
[SPEAKER_00]: She was with them unsupervised for how long?
56:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Over night, overnight.
56:51
[SPEAKER_00]: But they slept in the same room together.
56:54
[SPEAKER_01]: But like that's what I would prefer as a parent.
56:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't want my
56:58
[SPEAKER_01]: daughters, friends, new father into her life to be the one that's shaperoning the sleep of her party.
57:04
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know the man.
57:06
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess it's also true.
57:07
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
57:07
[SPEAKER_01]: But they also all called.
57:09
[SPEAKER_01]: They're all of the little girls.
57:10
[SPEAKER_01]: They got on their little cell phones because Luke wanted to make a little line to his little landline-corded phone.
57:15
[SPEAKER_01]: And they all called.
57:16
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, hey, we're going to stay at April's dad's diner with his fiance.
57:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, look, the truth is the truth of it is that none of us know what it's like to be a single mom that raises a teenage girl and then.
57:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, some of us do, I'm sure some of you are single mom.
57:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he means like the people like the three of us show the three of us show the three of us.
57:39
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm sure that there's there's there's it's on one understand.
57:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's not real thing that happens.
57:46
[SPEAKER_01]: That is fantasy.
57:47
[SPEAKER_00]: That's fake single moms in drag it's television read a book.
57:56
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I cannot personally say that to the experience of that.
58:01
[SPEAKER_00]: And how terrifying it really would be that then your daughter goes and finds her biological father, this person who you have a purposefully not told this.
58:12
[SPEAKER_00]: And you don't know where he's at in his life and then to further beyond that, go, I don't know who the people are in your life.
58:24
[SPEAKER_01]: So I- Do we try blame Luke?
58:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
58:26
[SPEAKER_01]: It's Luke's fault that she didn't know who the Anna didn't know who the Laura was or that didn't know like the significance of Laura.
58:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
58:33
[SPEAKER_00]: That's that's where the that is.
58:35
[SPEAKER_01]: That's where the lines get blurry.
58:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
58:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel they're very distinct.
58:38
[SPEAKER_01]: It's Luke's fault.
58:39
[SPEAKER_03]: No for sure.
58:40
[SPEAKER_03]: I just mean Anna didn't make him feel like he had no agency in that relationship.
58:44
[SPEAKER_03]: No, and in the relationship he was forging with her is a quote unquote co-parent because she was she actually was really drawing hard lines on like this is my daughter and it's like, okay, yeah, but that you didn't include me in this you didn't include me in any part of this and that really comes forth in.
59:00
[SPEAKER_03]: the custody case in season seven.
59:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it doesn't really get explored too much in Laura lion looks in the context of Laura lion looks relationship in that he's not saying to Laura Like I feel like I'm walking on egg shells with Anna because I just feel like she's not giving me a lot of agency everything So new it's more
59:19
[SPEAKER_03]: secretive and he's being very cagy and very not what's weird about him.
59:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's a there's a thought that's occurring to me now, too.
59:28
[SPEAKER_00]: That's like they're up until this point in the show There's not a lot of people that we meet that are like Anna.
59:35
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of like small town Bonjour, bonjour, bonjour, bonjour, or kind of personalities Under that her name means beauty
59:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know what I mean, so that then when this person comes in who is possibly a control freak who has this situation and she is very serious and on guard right away Just like tonally she's sort of a she's sort of a different thing than we get so it does sort of that also can add to the feeling of it coming out a left field
1:00:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, I do think in many ways, Amy wrote her to be kind of a reflection of Laura Lye, like, she's like, Laura Lye, Anna in a lot of ways.
1:00:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm with you.
1:00:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I was like, we're still here.
1:00:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm, yeah.
1:00:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm chewing.
1:00:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm chewing.
1:00:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:00:25
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's something you've said when we were watching it, you're like, she's just like, Laura Lye, like, you know, it's, it's obvious that they're kind of writing this, like, mother-daughter duo that is like, Laura Lye and Lori kind of everybody
1:00:39
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm everybody.
1:00:42
[SPEAKER_03]: My everybody.
1:00:43
[SPEAKER_03]: And Luke is now kind of kind of contest like straddling these two lives.
1:00:49
[SPEAKER_03]: One he didn't know about one he was like originally like 10 toes down on.
1:00:54
[SPEAKER_03]: And you know had both feet in.
1:00:56
[SPEAKER_03]: And now he has to kind of walk that back a little bit.
1:00:59
[SPEAKER_00]: He's just funny with her.
1:01:00
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, yeah, that they do introduce her.
1:01:03
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, I run a fun clothing store and I've got opinions and like, oh, you don't want that purse and I go, oh, fun.
1:01:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And then she's never fun again.
1:01:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I know, she's never heard.
1:01:12
[SPEAKER_03]: She, that's the thing is that like, you imagine, especially when Laura Lyon Anna speak for that very brief.
1:01:18
[SPEAKER_03]: scene.
1:01:19
[SPEAKER_03]: You imagine that like Laura like sees a lot of herself in Anna.
1:01:22
[SPEAKER_03]: She's like, I get it.
1:01:24
[SPEAKER_03]: I was you, you know, six years ago.
1:01:27
[SPEAKER_03]: Back at her and she's like, so then you get it.
1:01:29
[SPEAKER_02]: And Laura like, oh, um, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
1:01:37
[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard because like it does feel like like Luke and Laura, I should be laying in bed at night and like, you know, like bitching about Anna Yeah, like they're going to sleep and like they've stopped talking and like five minutes later and another thing like it's just like the
1:01:53
[SPEAKER_01]: just like talking about how she's handling the situation, but the way that Luke approaches it is like he did something that fair.
1:02:00
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like there's a scandal of foot, like something happened to his relationship, rather than something that happened 12 years ago as it turns out.
1:02:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:02:10
[SPEAKER_01]: That like, I don't understand the secrecy.
1:02:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:02:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't feel like that's ever fully explained in a way that feels said to me.
1:02:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:02:19
[SPEAKER_03]: I completely agree, especially after coming
1:02:22
[SPEAKER_03]: you know on the heels of Christopher reemerging and loralized life and him absolutely going ape shit about Christopher leaving a voicemail and being so insecure not trusting loralize and then he's like we got to tell each other things and you immediately turn around no secrets and then you keep a secret a huge secret among you men to one secret
1:02:43
[SPEAKER_03]: and that is never quite explained even when he does tell her when she does find out because she stumbles upon April at the diner we don't ever really like he kind of explains it away a little bit but even not even really to a degree that I think the audience is like okay yeah we understand that
1:02:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sure.
1:03:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
1:03:01
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the thing that y'all can speak to as an engaged couple engaged isn't married, but the intention is to get married.
1:03:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Love your ring, Brad.
1:03:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Tara, you didn't even get him a ring pop.
1:03:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
1:03:13
[SPEAKER_01]: It's in the mail.
1:03:15
[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a little stale.
1:03:19
[UNKNOWN]: Bye.
1:03:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly, but the point of getting married is that like now you are going to handle everything together That like should a surprise pop up in your life and it be a kid Well now that's something we're going to go through together Like they always say like you pick the partner that you want to lose your parents with like that's the the idea of like Can you imagine that person you also have to imagine the surprise kid might pop up, you know anything could happen You're ready for anything And so it's like As it turns out he's not all in
1:03:48
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why I brought you here today.
1:03:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
1:04:10
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, if you had a secret that monumental and you didn't tell me, I mean, yeah, I would be also like Laura like what what the hell We're getting married like what are you talking about and from there on out if it didn't change I mean, that's where I understand Laura lives fire.
1:04:28
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like yeah, from there on out if it doesn't change like what are we doing at this point
1:04:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because she, she, you get to see her with Chris a lot.
1:04:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Be like, hey, we got to work this out.
1:04:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, whatever you, whatever you have going on, we can do it.
1:04:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because we're married.
1:04:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
1:04:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:04:44
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we do.
1:04:44
[SPEAKER_00]: We figure it out.
1:04:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:04:46
[SPEAKER_00]: That she doesn't necessarily get to have with Luke.
1:04:48
[SPEAKER_03]: No.
1:04:49
[SPEAKER_03]: And I put that on Luke.
1:04:51
[SPEAKER_03]: I know I know throughout the season in season six, you really felt like Laura, I didn't speak up enough.
1:05:00
[SPEAKER_00]: She was uncharacteristically not forthcoming.
1:05:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Not unforethcoming.
1:05:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:05:05
[SPEAKER_03]: And I agree with you two a certain extent, but I do feel like in a lot of ways she was made to feel like she had like it was almost like a ripple effect and I made Luke feel like he had to tiptoe around everything with April and Luke's reaction to that and not telling Laurel I made Laurel I feel like she had to tiptoe around everything that was happening.
1:05:20
[SPEAKER_03]: It was like this weird little tiptoe ripple effect.
1:05:23
[SPEAKER_03]: everybody's on their tiptoes and their tiptoes.
1:05:25
[SPEAKER_02]: It's about eight.
1:05:26
[SPEAKER_02]: It's about eight.
1:05:27
[SPEAKER_03]: This patty is cool.
1:05:28
[SPEAKER_03]: It's about eight.
1:05:30
[SPEAKER_03]: But I do think that Laurel I was made to feel like she had to kind of walk on excels and Luke made her feel that way because Anna made him feel that way.
1:05:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Because she's very thoughtful.
1:05:39
[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely, she's very conscious and like I think that it came from a place of like I love this man.
1:05:43
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm all in I love this man and I want this to work and I understand he must be going through a lot and I was a single parent like you know in a lot of ways probably related to Anna and wanted to give him space and wanted to give him time.
1:05:56
[SPEAKER_03]: And then that just ended up becoming the norm.
1:06:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:06:01
[SPEAKER_00]: She was a single parent, but didn't want to do it on her own.
1:06:03
[SPEAKER_00]: He was shut out.
1:06:05
[SPEAKER_00]: He shut her out and was like, try, he felt like he had to do this on his own.
1:06:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:06:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:06:11
[SPEAKER_01]: How did you feel about the fact that April came to him?
1:06:16
[SPEAKER_01]: unbeknownst to Anna, but then Anna was like, oh, okay, she found out about you like she got my diary.
1:06:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man.
1:06:25
[SPEAKER_01]: It's happened.
1:06:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm super super close to my daughter, but I did not know she was running a science fair project with your DNA.
1:06:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think that deeply about it.
1:06:34
[SPEAKER_00]: So fair.
1:06:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Watch again, I was just sort of like, yeah, sure.
1:06:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's a thing that would happen in the show.
1:06:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, people do science.
1:06:41
[SPEAKER_02]: This is Mama Mia.
1:06:42
[SPEAKER_02]: People do science.
1:06:42
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:06:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, the time.
1:06:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:06:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:06:45
[SPEAKER_03]: It's turning into that guy again.
1:06:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Perhaps not.
1:06:47
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I know.
1:06:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right.
1:06:49
[SPEAKER_02]: If you watched, if you watched or listened to the episode for the last year, he turns into a Stad Island.
1:06:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Tell me to never change.
1:06:57
[SPEAKER_02]: I love your consistency.
1:07:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Two modes.
1:07:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that's that's my that's my TV critic.
1:07:05
[SPEAKER_00]: My TV critic is a guy.
1:07:06
[SPEAKER_02]: See if the name's gotten.
1:07:07
[SPEAKER_02]: I like it.
1:07:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I watched it.
1:07:09
[SPEAKER_00]: It was good.
1:07:09
[SPEAKER_00]: There was Gilmore's.
1:07:10
[SPEAKER_00]: There was girls.
1:07:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I liked it.
1:07:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Not a thing, but a boom.
1:07:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Hi everybody, we are going to pause the episode here because we ended up yapping with Brett for a lot longer than we expected to.
1:07:20
[SPEAKER_03]: I was so wrong with those.
1:07:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Whenever you say, we're like, oh, it'll just be a short episode.
1:07:24
[SPEAKER_01]: But this one was said then anything.
1:07:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Because just the three of us once we start yapping everything turns into a bit.
1:07:29
[SPEAKER_01]: It's true.
1:07:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Everything turns into a bit.
1:07:31
[SPEAKER_01]: a five-minute long story of something that doesn't make any sense.
1:07:35
[SPEAKER_03]: No, you're so right.
1:07:36
[SPEAKER_03]: Everything does turn into a bit.
1:07:38
[SPEAKER_03]: So we decided to break this episode up into two parts, and part two will be up on Thursday.
1:07:43
[SPEAKER_03]: A special bonus episode this week.
1:07:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Bonus episode, time.
1:07:46
[SPEAKER_03]: A Brett bonus, if you will.
1:07:48
[SPEAKER_01]: I hope bonus, we love that.
1:07:50
[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll have more to say on that in the next episode.
