- 0:01Hello everyone, welcome back to Eye Opener Society. I appreciate everybody joining
- 0:07us here and just providing yourself to this whole new project.
- 0:16Eye Opener Society has been with you and we appreciate everyone who has stuck
- 0:21around with us and we appreciate everybody new that is also joining us.
- 0:25And now with our big announcement that we're going to be forming into a church.
- 0:31Things, you know, are going to take time to do
- 0:35it Because Lizzie and I were super excited And
- 0:38we keep getting super excited And then we
- 0:41start getting ahead of ourselves And also we learn
- 0:44to pump the brakes at times This way we
- 0:47get one thing done at a time But we are focused on this
- 0:50mission And it's something we are super excited to bring forward to everyone
- 0:56So with that we're going to give you guys a little piece of what's been on our
- 1:02minds Because eventually you're going to start hearing us doing Whether they
- 1:06be sermons, whether they be speeches,
- 1:09We're going to put forward things that will help you.
- 1:15But in order to help you, you have to be the one who is actually desiring the change.
- 1:23So let's welcome our wonderful and beautiful co-creator Lizzie. Lizzie, how are you?
- 1:29Good. Just so excited to be enjoying the day and here recording another episode.
- 1:34Absolutely. And we're so excited to have you here. And I know you and I have
- 1:38talked about this because we do.
- 1:41We have so many plans. We're so excited about everything and we are going to be,
- 1:48in the forefront of helping people more than we have, you know,
- 1:52we're going to be given lessons and we're going to be, you're going to be writing stuff.
- 1:56And I've seen some of the stuff you have written and it's absolutely amazing
- 2:00stuff, but people have to understand though, it's really up to them.
- 2:05It comes from them inside of here to be willing to want to make a change. Is that correct?
- 2:12Absolutely. Um, you can really only meet another person as much as you've met yourself.
- 2:18And when you're exploring your inner truth, you can find a lot of things in
- 2:24people and symbols all throughout, but you have to be willing to shift yourself.
- 2:30And that takes practice for a lot of people.
- 2:33Um I think culturally we just
- 2:37kind of by the time we're like
- 2:40young adults we're very determined on
- 2:43who we are right we're strong smart independent people nobody
- 2:46can tell us what to do and I think a
- 2:49lot of us kind of like go really hard into that for a
- 2:52little while before we start kind of undoing all
- 2:55of that and the first stages of undoing
- 2:59that is being able to accept that you were
- 3:02less than perfect and that actually didn't make you a terrible person
- 3:05and all of those like little things like that that
- 3:08i i find when i work with uh somebody with energy work that's the first hurdle
- 3:14that we have to go through is if they haven't been through that process of teaching
- 3:18themselves that it's like safe to just be and not be perfect and change your mind and all of that.
- 3:29So, I don't want to call people out with this,
- 3:35but it's something that I've seen, it's kind of a trend almost But I think we
- 3:40are so conditioned into doing this People that are suffering from,
- 3:44whether it be anxiety or depression,
- 3:46or they're just feeling down on themselves,
- 3:49One of the first things they do is go straight for social media,
- 3:52and they have to plaster it all over.
- 3:55I'm so depressed. I'm so depressed. I'm so depressed. I'm so depressed.
- 3:59I feel for these people. I get it. And listen, I've gone through stages of that,
- 4:05too. I've experienced it.
- 4:08Back when my stepdaughter Hannah used to run with the show, we spoke a lot about it.
- 4:15But see what we need to Make people aware of Once we start doing that We're
- 4:23continuing that cycle And worse yet,
- 4:28Any words that we type Any words that we speak And every time we say hey I'm
- 4:33depressed, I'm depressed, I'm depressed Your body starts to think Well this is it,
- 4:38I'm depressed And the more you start putting it up
- 4:40on social media The more you start telling you know everybody
- 4:44that you know on the part we need
- 4:46to break that habit because it's not
- 4:49getting you anywhere and this is where people have to understand because if
- 4:53i say you just need to change your perspective and start thinking differently
- 4:57and start thinking of better outcomes and putting more positive words forward
- 5:02you will start to change but you have to believe that,
- 5:08You and I, Lizzie, we could give them all the help that they want,
- 5:11you know, but they need to actually embody that and make themselves much more
- 5:17positive and stop with this because I don't know where it comes from.
- 5:20It's a social media thing, but do you get where I'm at?
- 5:24Oh, yeah, absolutely. And I think a lot of people are doing this more or less.
- 5:30And I think it's great you kind of bring that up like right after.
- 5:35Oh, man, I'm so sorry. I'm having a hard time pulling my brain together today.
- 5:40Can you say the last thing that you said one more time? I'm so sorry.
- 5:45Well, I was asking you if I'm right, how people must embody a change in perspective.
- 5:51Yes. Yes. I'm so sorry. So it's important to be honest about your feelings, right?
- 5:59Like you can't bypass them. You can't, you know, rewrite them to be something
- 6:03prettier and more palatable.
- 6:05But you also don't need to go throw it up
- 6:07all over people all over the world you know
- 6:10what I mean and so there's a big difference between venting
- 6:14and seeking support and contrasting your
- 6:17perspective to try to feel better and just kind of like
- 6:20you were saying just kind of like drilling it into
- 6:23yourself and a lot of the times you do
- 6:26have to start with saying something kind of the opposite of how you feel and
- 6:30it does kind of sink in but if you find that when you're saying it and it just
- 6:34like almost hurts to say it like try to do something softer and say like um
- 6:40i don't know if i've ever used this example on the podcast here but.
- 6:46Body positivity is like this huge thing, right? And like back in the day when
- 6:49I was really insecure about my body, if I tried to stand in front of the mirror
- 6:53and talk about how beautiful or sexy I was, like, it made me blush.
- 6:57It made me like feel weird. Like I didn't, I didn't like it.
- 7:01Anytime I did it, I felt worse about myself because my brain said all the things
- 7:06that were not like, you know, why that wasn't true.
- 7:10But when I stumbled upon the concept
- 7:13of body neutrality and you
- 7:16were just like I have an arm that's my
- 7:19arm I have a butt that's my butt you
- 7:22know what I mean it's like you were saying something that was
- 7:25factual but it was like completely neutral and when
- 7:28I did that for a minute it's like it was weird how
- 7:31it was automatic that it's like my mindset shifted a
- 7:35little bit but almost like trying to jump all the
- 7:38way over there just like proved my body how it wasn't all
- 7:41those things already and so you a part
- 7:44of being honest with your feelings is honestly feeling your
- 7:48feelings about what you're trying to feel for the
- 7:51future you know what I mean if you're trying to manifest abundance
- 7:54but you spend every day like feeling like everything is so scarce like drop
- 7:59down from your million dollar goal you know what I mean like let's just like
- 8:03manifest some groceries or something you know what I mean And that honestly
- 8:08can get people so much further and it builds so big.
- 8:11I think with social media, we see all these beautiful examples of this works so good for this person.
- 8:17It took them so far. But it really is just like this array of things.
- 8:22And so that's what we were talking about, kind of focusing all like our stuff
- 8:26for the church is just making it so people have a better opportunity to explore their own truth.
- 8:32Because everybody's out there trying to teach you the way to be true.
- 8:35But like only you know that You know.
- 8:39And I appreciate you really expanding on that Because,
- 8:43yeah, you brought up some very good points It's not
- 8:45so much just willing to accept And willing to start changing And
- 8:49changing your mindset But you don't have to change it So drastically at first
- 8:56You set that neutrality And then build on it from there And that's a wonderful
- 9:01piece of advice And since we're only just starting And we don't really have,
- 9:08you know everything laid out yet but future wise i know you and i spoke about
- 9:15it i'm going through this whole excitement phase and i spoke to you the other
- 9:19day saying hey you know maybe a year ago,
- 9:22i would have been so excited for like a day and then i would have like yeah
- 9:25you know what this isn't gonna work and i'd back
- 9:28out of it and but the
- 9:31changes that i've had because going back a year ago
- 9:34with all that i learned more about positivity and
- 9:39actually shifting your entire mindset and since i've learned that everything
- 9:45comes to me as needed we don't want to throw the ego in there you know we don't
- 9:50want to get the things that you know just because oh i want to be you know a
- 9:54superstar i gotta have this stuff.
- 9:58I receive what it is that I need. And since I started seeing that,
- 10:03I'm so excited to move forward on this to the point where it's like,
- 10:07we got to get this done. We got to get this done.
- 10:10But this is the beauty of positive thinking. And this is something that we will
- 10:15wind up teaching people.
- 10:17And, you know, if we wind up working one-on-one with someone,
- 10:19this is what we're going to offer.
- 10:22And we're going to allow people to see this. So, like I said,
- 10:26if you're listening out there and you're doing, you know, what I'm saying with
- 10:29the posting on social media and all, like I said, change, start now.
- 10:35You know, if you are that person, make that change starting now.
- 10:40And like Lizzie says, it doesn't have to be so drastic. It could be something more neutral.
- 10:45And it's not that I'm calling you out But I really want to help you And even
- 10:51if you never reach out to me The bottom line is You have to make changes And
- 10:55those changes have to start now And just from what I'm observing And it could
- 11:00be more than one person out there It really is,
- 11:03You need to start focusing on something a lot more Positive,
- 11:08And once that starts to happen You'll see how things start to manifest themselves
- 11:13in a much more positive way.
- 11:15And don't get me wrong, you know, and I know Lizzie will back me up on this.
- 11:19There are some people that need probably more than just our spiritual healing.
- 11:24I mean, you need to medically be healed yourself as well, but then you need
- 11:28to want to go further because the one thing we want is for people to enjoy themselves
- 11:33and be the person they really want to be.
- 11:36And at least I know that was something Lizzie and I spoke about,
- 11:40And it's something we want to put as far as the mission for the church So we're
- 11:45going to reach out to everybody And everybody will have a chance to reach out
- 11:47to us But if we could start giving these little nuggets here and there I think
- 11:52that would be a great thing.
- 11:55And I was actually to go back to what you're saying earlier,
- 11:58I was thinking about that when you told me that earlier about how a year ago
- 12:02that you would have gotten kind of like off the track already.
- 12:06And I was thinking about it. And a year ago, I would have been so obsessed with
- 12:10making sure that we wrote down exactly the way that we were supposed to start
- 12:14this, that I would have driven us both crazy.
- 12:16And if you weren't already going to abandon the project, you probably wouldn't
- 12:20at that point. And then I would have abandoned it because I would have been like way too much.
- 12:25I think that this is a big time. We've been friends for a while now,
- 12:29but it only just recently kind of turned into something like building a church.
- 12:33And I think it's kind of a perfect timing because both of us just opened to
- 12:38what we kind of need to see in order to actually make something like that happen
- 12:43without it being like a doctrine church, because that's not quite what we're going for here.
- 12:48Oh, exactly. And like I said, I know there's so much excitement and people are
- 12:52probably all wondering what, you know, we have going on in the background.
- 12:56But like we said, slowly but surely, we'll start getting it out.
- 12:59But really quick, too, even before we go, since you just brought it up there,
- 13:03Lizzie, because we were going to talk about that a little bit more today, too.
- 13:07But I really wanted to get that point out.
- 13:09This way, people can start focusing on themselves to help build themselves up.
- 13:13But connection. I know we were going to talk about that, too.
- 13:16And I know you mentioned since you and I became friends And we were thinking
- 13:19about, you know, a year ago Everything's about divine timing.
- 13:24And our connection that we've had Since we've known each other Has developed
- 13:30into something, you know,
- 13:32Into a church? I mean, you know, how many friends get together and say,
- 13:35oh, we're great. And we're all happy, you know, to be friends.
- 13:38And then let's build a church.
- 13:40And then actually do it. Exactly. And then actually do it.
- 13:46And the project has brought you and I closer too as well.
- 13:50So why don't you give me your thoughts on connection?
- 13:54Because I know it was something we wanted to talk about.
- 13:57Yeah, we were going to kind of make it like a whole episode. but I
- 14:00can kind of summarize like my idea of the
- 14:02episode so okay you know
- 14:06me just going back to totally not talking crap about
- 14:09monogamy okay I'm very specifically talking about
- 14:12uh like where your whole thing is
- 14:15just focused on the one person from a
- 14:18cosmic perspective we're here to make
- 14:21connections with people ideas places all
- 14:24of these things and so you so you
- 14:27meet a friend and you learn how to unconditionally love
- 14:31yourself through this friend and then you meet this romantic partner and you
- 14:35heal your relationship to anger and sadness through this partner and then your
- 14:41co-worker over here you know what I mean and it kind of goes like this but when people specify,
- 14:48all of their connection all their like emotional vulnerability to their romantic
- 14:55partner it actually disrupts your ability to quantumly connect to the people
- 15:01around you the way that you they like that you want to because everything has
- 15:06to be like all rules on like.
- 15:09It's all energetic, but it messes it up.
- 15:13And so now instead of trying to learn all of these things and balance all these
- 15:17things out on these array of connections with people, it's now kind of centered on this one person.
- 15:23And I think that actually makes a lot of things worse because now you're trying
- 15:27to solve all of these problems.
- 15:29I didn't know this one was going to hit my face in the middle of this episode.
- 15:32Now you're trying to focus on all these problems while you're also keeping a
- 15:36relationship together, while you're also doing all these things.
- 15:39And so not talking crap on monogamy, but what I'm saying is that people,
- 15:45it's really important that you still do have friends. You know what I mean?
- 15:49Like, it's got to just be broader, but this is not to say that you can't be
- 15:59like completely in love with your partner.
- 16:01You know what I mean? I mean, I'm talking more about emotional vulnerability.
- 16:06You'll vent to your friend, but you share your deep secrets with this. You know what I mean?
- 16:11You'll cry in front of everybody, but one of them gets like that ugly cry.
- 16:17It's just going to be ugly sometimes with people.
- 16:20You've got to be raw because if you're making a real connection,
- 16:23that's your authentic self.
- 16:26And I think in this culture, we get stuck on that our romantic partner is the
- 16:31only one who can truly love and see our authentic self.
- 16:35And really, it's just us practicing being that around everybody.
- 16:40And when you do that, the connections just may just like freaking fly in.
- 16:46And to break it down a little bit uh it's
- 16:50broadening your circle um because
- 16:54i think many people just feel we are trapped
- 16:57in just one relationship with one person and we're going to share absolutely
- 17:04everything with just that one person that's very limiting um and and we're not
- 17:11talking about going out there and having extramarital affairs and all,
- 17:15but we are literally talking about broadening that sense of your circle as to
- 17:20who you could be authentic to.
- 17:23Your relationship is solid with whomever you are in a relationship,
- 17:28whether it be, you know, that paper marriage or something even more meaningful.
- 17:33And then from there, yeah, we have to develop that there are other people that
- 17:39can enter your life and see things on a level as well,
- 17:45that some people would think, well, that should only be reserved for relationships.
- 17:51Not necessarily.
- 17:53I think if we dump too much on our partner, that creates tension and stress as well.
- 18:00But if we have a little bit of a broader circle there and we can reach out to
- 18:04other people And talk to other people And get their insights too as well Makes
- 18:09it easier for everybody Especially making it easier On the relationship,
- 18:14You will develop these connections They will get closer.
- 18:18But I think spiritually, we need that. It doesn't have to be,
- 18:23again, I don't want to throw the word monogamous out there, but truthfully,
- 18:28we need to start thinking outside of that monogamy.
- 18:32So I hope I kind of broke it down a little bit for you.
- 18:35Yeah, yeah, you can be romantically monogamy, but your connection,
- 18:40you've got to be open to new ideas and perspectives.
- 18:44And to kind of circle it back to your original point and being honest,
- 18:48and authentic with yourself like that really is
- 18:51the first relationship that you should work
- 18:55on because none of your relationships will
- 18:58be better than your relationship with yourself and
- 19:01almost always in all of these relationships whatever's bugging
- 19:05you about that person whatever unmet expectation it's
- 19:09it's in you somewhere that you're judging yourself for you're
- 19:12mad you don't have it you're mad you don't give yourself permission to
- 19:15do it like whatever it is and so the more
- 19:18we can be authentic with ourselves and build
- 19:21that relationship with ourselves that we're safe to
- 19:24be vulnerable and make connections again they just
- 19:26kind of pour in everywhere and the
- 19:30beauty of this is how we connected both because we're talking about being authentic
- 19:34to yourself and whether that be in relationships and connections but we need
- 19:41to be authentic to ourselves when we Need help as well Like we started this off And so this is.
- 19:50Where we can focus on that and say, yeah, being your true self,
- 19:53being that authentic self is just so important.
- 19:56Look, Lizzie and I, we've seen a thing or two.
- 20:00Please don't get me for copyright infringement on that. But we have,
- 20:05and we've been around and we've experienced things in relationships and we've
- 20:09experienced our mental anguishes and all.
- 20:13That's why we're going to take all of that that we've learned through life.
- 20:17And we're going to bring that forward to help those that need it.
- 20:22And so with that, my friend, would you like to add anything else or shall we
- 20:26let this audience go on and be their beautiful selves?
- 20:29This would like to add that although this is a very multi-dimensional concept
- 20:33relationship, we won't be on this topic forever.
- 20:38That's right. We can get stuck.
- 20:40We can make tons of episodes, but I like the way they do necessarily blend and
- 20:46they actually make a point that way. So that's a beautiful thing,
- 20:49but I appreciate your insights so much, Lizzie.
- 20:54And I appreciate our connection. You know that it's wonderful.
- 20:58And Lizzie and I, we appreciate you guys, the audience and everybody that's
- 21:03going through something or struggling with something, or you may be already at that level.
- 21:09You may be steps higher than us. And that's wonderful.
- 21:12That's the beautiful thing with this. We could get everybody on the same level
- 21:16at some point in the collective, and that will be one of our goals.
- 21:20So thank you again, Lizzie, and hopefully we get to see everybody again on our
- 21:25Wednesday night guided meditations.
- 21:28And be looking forward to some Thursday night sermons once we get some things
- 21:33in place and we got a little bit more time. We're going to actually have some
- 21:36Thursday night sermons, and we'll talk about that because they may also be live,
- 21:40too, as well. So, Lizzie, have a wonderful night.
- 21:43Thanks, you too. Take care.
