- 0:06Speaker 1: Did you ever have a song, a movie, a TV
- 0:10Speaker 1: show ruin your own name for you? Seven oh one
- 0:14Speaker 1: two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Uh, do you have one at all? Angie? Or maybe
- 0:20Speaker 2: is your name in this one?
- 0:21Speaker 1: I like a.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Henrida, a little bit of Monica, a little bit of Erica,
- 0:28Speaker 3: a little bit of Ridosandra, Mary, a little bit of.
- 0:36Speaker 2: You make your name name. So many names, a lot
- 0:40Speaker 2: of names.
- 0:40Speaker 4: You know what.
- 0:42Speaker 5: Initially when it came out, because he says Angela, people
- 0:45Speaker 5: would say, like Angie, but my name is not short
- 0:47Speaker 5: for Angela. So that quickly like pasted nothing for me personally.
- 0:52Speaker 5: My baby daddy his name is tim and we all
- 0:55Speaker 5: called him Timmy and from like South Park Mouth Park.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Ah.
- 0:59Speaker 6: Sure started when he was in middle school. Yeah, so
- 1:02Speaker 6: he would hear that all the time.
- 1:04Speaker 5: And honestly, to this day, whenever I have to text
- 1:07Speaker 5: him something about the kids, I think.
- 1:11Speaker 1: That's actually pretty good for me, you know. Surprisingly, I
- 1:16Speaker 1: can't think of a song. But there was a TV
- 1:20Speaker 1: show and a book. I don't know if you ever
- 1:23Speaker 1: had to read The Giver. Yes, there's a character in
- 1:27Speaker 1: there named Gabe or Gabriel, at least in the version
- 1:31Speaker 1: I had to read in middle school. So I had
- 1:33Speaker 1: a week of that because we'd sit in class. Okay,
- 1:37Speaker 1: so I had a week of that, and that quickly
- 1:39Speaker 1: kind of died off. But then also Parks and Record
- 1:43Speaker 1: is at the office. There's a Gabe in the office, right.
- 1:47Speaker 6: Is it in the office.
- 1:48Speaker 1: He starts dating the new receptionist girl. I think for
- 1:51Speaker 1: a time, oh oh yes, yes, yes, yes, Now that
- 1:55Speaker 1: didn't really ruin it by any stretch. But every time
- 1:58Speaker 1: I watched the show and hear that name, I'm like,
- 2:02Speaker 1: oh man, that's me kind of that's funny. I don't
- 2:05Speaker 1: have really a good one. No, I guess maybe like
- 2:07Speaker 1: the Bible because I'm such an angel. No, you ruined
- 2:13Speaker 1: the name Gabriel.
- 2:15Speaker 2: That's probably fair. Well, what about this?
- 2:17Speaker 1: This goes out to all my freaks out there in there?
- 2:37Speaker 5: You know, we have a lot of Yolandas who text
- 2:40Speaker 5: into the show and stuff and did this song ruin
- 2:43Speaker 5: it for you?
- 2:44Speaker 6: Or did you like it? If I were in that song,
- 2:46Speaker 6: I would be down.
- 2:47Speaker 2: You would appreciate that. I would love that.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Well, if your name was in that song, let us know,
- 2:52Speaker 1: did that, you know, affect you in high school or
- 2:54Speaker 1: anything like that or in your adult life.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I guess does anyone prefer to that?
- 2:58Speaker 1: And we did post this on Facebook and we did
- 3:01Speaker 1: have Hannah who I you know, I don't mean to
- 3:03Speaker 1: ruin your morning, Hannah Montana?
- 3:10Speaker 6: Oh man, how old were? I want to know how
- 3:13Speaker 6: old was Hannah when Hannah Montana came out?
- 3:16Speaker 5: Because I feel like, depending on your age, that could
- 3:19Speaker 5: have been if she was already an adult adult not
- 3:22Speaker 5: so bad? Yeah, but she so yeah, the same age,
- 3:25Speaker 5: that's a bummer. I you remember that song by City High.
- 3:29Speaker 5: What would you do if your son was out?
- 3:31Speaker 4: Oh?
- 3:31Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, okay, So when the guy in the song
- 3:34Speaker 5: is like, her name was Lannie, she went to junior
- 3:36Speaker 5: high with me, My cousin Lannie wasn't junior high.
- 3:41Speaker 6: And so she hated it and everyone was like, what
- 3:43Speaker 6: would you do if you said? Was that home?
- 3:45Speaker 2: Lannie?
- 3:46Speaker 6: So annoying?
- 3:47Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Is there a show, a movie, song, anything that has
- 3:54Speaker 1: your name in it that you were like?
- 3:55Speaker 2: Well, I kind of wish I didn't have that name.
- 3:57Speaker 2: For a month.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Nine celebrating life's little victories. Every morning we practice gratitude
- 4:07Speaker 4: on big ninety eight points.
- 4:09Speaker 3: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 4:11Speaker 3: basket joke busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Share your little victories with us at seven oh one, two,
- 4:17Speaker 4: eight oh one, ninety.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Eight kids, I also needed to win that day, all right,
- 4:22Speaker 2: angel what he got for me? Watch your little victory.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Mikey wrote a book called JD and the Leftovers, and
- 4:28Speaker 5: every day around five o'clock, we or I read it
- 4:34Speaker 5: to the kids and.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Then Mikey's there to see if I'm screwing it up.
- 4:39Speaker 6: Yesterday we finished the book.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Oh that's awesome.
- 4:44Speaker 5: Yes, and the kids loved it. They gave it a
- 4:46Speaker 5: ten out of ten. I gave it a ten out
- 4:48Speaker 5: of ten. However, it was very emotional for me and
- 4:53Speaker 5: I had to fight back tears, and at the end
- 4:55Speaker 5: of the book, I was a little bit upset because
- 4:59Speaker 5: there's a cliff hanger. And that's when Mikey said, well, yeah,
- 5:03Speaker 5: it's the first book in a series.
- 5:05Speaker 6: What there's a second book?
- 5:07Speaker 2: Wow?
- 5:08Speaker 5: And apparently there's to be at minimum three in the series.
- 5:12Speaker 5: So now I'm excited for the next book. But I'm like,
- 5:15Speaker 5: mike did you did you start writing it? Yeah?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Like I need I need more get to typing.
- 5:20Speaker 6: Yeah exactly. But I'm very excited.
- 5:22Speaker 5: We finished the book, and I think this weekend we're
- 5:25Speaker 5: going to have like a JD in the Leftovers themed
- 5:28Speaker 5: day to celebrate.
- 5:29Speaker 6: So I'm really excited.
- 5:31Speaker 1: That is wonderful. Well, I'm really happy for you, happy
- 5:33Speaker 1: for Mikey. I can't wait to hear more and learn
- 5:35Speaker 1: more about these books.
- 5:36Speaker 5: Yeah, eventually, you know, we want to get it published
- 5:40Speaker 5: and then I want you to read it.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Game.
- 5:42Speaker 6: I think you would really like it.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Oh, I would definitely read it, okay, or like listen
- 5:47Speaker 2: to it on audible.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Oh, that's also why I was reading it. I had
- 5:50Speaker 5: to practice because I want to narrate it and I
- 5:53Speaker 5: don't know if Mikey's.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Down for that.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Fair enough, my little victory, I gotta tell you, my
- 6:00Speaker 1: little victory is so small. But I had the most
- 6:04Speaker 1: Monday Monday someone could have in the best way possible.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Corey had to drive a little bit for work. Yesterday
- 6:13Speaker 1: is a couple hours away, so when I got home,
- 6:15Speaker 1: I literally sat around and contributed nothing to society. For you,
- 6:21Speaker 1: it could not have been more wonderful to become a
- 6:24Speaker 1: I mean quite literally a human throw pillow on my couch.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I laid there and did nothing for like six hours.
- 6:33Speaker 1: It was incredible, And then I went and got Chipotle,
- 6:36Speaker 1: which was also delicious, And then when Corey got home,
- 6:40Speaker 1: we both basically laid in bed and went to sleep.
- 6:43Speaker 6: Gabe, that's a really good money.
- 6:45Speaker 1: It was the most day Monday ever. It was nice
- 6:49Speaker 1: to just kind of sit back and not really do
- 6:51Speaker 1: a whole lot. Yeah, because I think I got to
- 6:53Speaker 1: start conserving energy.
- 6:57Speaker 5: Oh yeah, as soon as that baby arrives, you have
- 7:01Speaker 5: to be doing the most.
- 7:02Speaker 6: So enjoy your throw pillow days.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Oh it was wonderful.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I mean I was literally I don't know what contributed
- 7:08Speaker 1: more to the house yesterday, me or my garbage.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Can you know what I mean?
- 7:13Speaker 4: Yeah, you know the thing that you're thinking about, but
- 7:18Speaker 4: you're too polite to say, we got you.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Are you calling a coony queen.
- 7:25Speaker 4: Dying on the hill of controversial opinion so you don't
- 7:28Speaker 4: have to penny? This is sorry, not sorry. On Big
- 7:35Speaker 4: ninety eight point seven.
- 7:37Speaker 5: These AI flyers for businesses and brands have got to stop.
- 7:44Speaker 6: I've been seeing.
- 7:45Speaker 5: Pushback from the regular consumer on social media and I
- 7:50Speaker 5: love it because I feel this way too.
- 7:53Speaker 6: These AI flyers are not doing what you think they're doing.
- 7:58Speaker 5: First of all, every everybody's using the same font, the
- 8:03Speaker 5: same vibe of content on these AI flyers that I
- 8:07Speaker 5: don't know which brand is which except for looking for
- 8:12Speaker 5: the logo.
- 8:12Speaker 6: And guess what, when I'm scrolling, I don't got time.
- 8:15Speaker 5: I don't got time to look for your little logo
- 8:18Speaker 5: on the AI flyer that looks like every other flyer
- 8:21Speaker 5: we've seen. You know what I need you to do.
- 8:24Speaker 5: I need you to go on Canva. I need you
- 8:26Speaker 5: to hit get a template. I need you to try
- 8:29Speaker 5: and delete everything off the template that doesn't make sense
- 8:32Speaker 5: for your brand. And then I need you to use
- 8:34Speaker 5: your own brain to pick a font and a size
- 8:38Speaker 5: to start talking about your business on the template, and
- 8:41Speaker 5: then realize that you messed up the size and the
- 8:43Speaker 5: color and that you actually hate the template, and so
- 8:45Speaker 5: you're going to start all the way over. And I
- 8:48Speaker 5: need you to go through some adversity and trial and error,
- 8:52Speaker 5: because that is going to give the most authentic flyer
- 8:57Speaker 5: for your business, for your brand. It'll be personal to
- 9:00Speaker 5: you just jotting in a few prompts into the AI thing,
- 9:06Speaker 5: hitting you know, generate, and then not.
- 9:08Speaker 6: Doing anything else with it. Everybody is doing that.
- 9:12Speaker 5: Everybody's getting a cookie cutter flyer, especially if you are
- 9:18Speaker 5: a restaurant and you're saying put pictures of food in
- 9:22Speaker 5: it that don't look like the food you serve, that
- 9:25Speaker 5: doesn't look like the food you serve, stop lying to
- 9:29Speaker 5: me via AI.
- 9:31Speaker 6: I'm mad.
- 9:32Speaker 5: I don't like it. In fact, I offer my services.
- 9:36Speaker 5: I can draw. I bet you I could draw you
- 9:38Speaker 5: a better cheeseburger by hand that will look more like
- 9:42Speaker 5: what you serve than the AI generated image. Please let's
- 9:47Speaker 5: go back to a simpler time, because I can't do
- 9:51Speaker 5: it anymore with these AI flyers.
- 9:54Speaker 6: Gabe, I feel sad. I'm drained.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Do you feel I mean, well, do at least well?
- 9:59Speaker 1: I guess you just answer my question. I was going
- 10:01Speaker 1: to say, after you got that off your chest.
- 10:02Speaker 6: I got it off my chest.
- 10:05Speaker 5: I hope that someone heeds my advice because I'm not
- 10:10Speaker 5: the only one. I'm not the only one who feels
- 10:13Speaker 5: this way. Now I'm gonna go make an AI generated
- 10:15Speaker 5: image for Big ninety eight point second.
- 10:20Speaker 4: In the World of Rules in Gray Areas, one morning
- 10:22Speaker 4: show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 10:25Speaker 2: We both know you're guilty. He's guilty. Is it legal?
- 10:28Speaker 1: You're guilty of the worst crime of All.
- 10:31Speaker 4: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 10:35Speaker 2: All right, is it legal here?
- 10:37Speaker 1: Graduation season is arriving, you know, grad parties arriving, Caps
- 10:42Speaker 1: are flying, grandparents are crying, and somewhere Dad is standing
- 10:46Speaker 1: by a grill wearing white new balanced shoes and cargo
- 10:48Speaker 1: shorts with a braided belt. I can't wait. I'm going
- 10:52Speaker 1: to go shopping for a braided belt this weekend.
- 10:54Speaker 6: I gotta.
- 10:55Speaker 1: So the question is is it legal in North Dakota
- 10:58Speaker 1: for parents to let their underage kids drink at a
- 11:02Speaker 1: graduation party if they are supervised?
- 11:05Speaker 2: You know you might be thinking hanging there at home
- 11:07Speaker 2: or keeping an eye on them.
- 11:09Speaker 5: Sounds reasonable, right, like in mean, girls, if you're gonna drink,
- 11:13Speaker 5: I'd rather you do it in the house.
- 11:14Speaker 2: That's right. Well, no, it is strictly illegal.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Mom and Dad don't magically become licensed bartenders because little
- 11:22Speaker 1: Timmy got his diploma. Okay, congratulations on graduating. Now you
- 11:27Speaker 1: gotta celebrate with cake and sprite.
- 11:30Speaker 6: I mean, but good? What am I saying?
- 11:32Speaker 1: Well, there are some states where this would be okay,
- 11:35Speaker 1: North Dakota just doesn't happen to be one of them.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Okay, but that is safer for everyone involved.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I would have to see did you enjoy an adult
- 11:44Speaker 1: beverage a little early at your graduation party?
- 11:47Speaker 6: No, I was such a good kid.
- 11:50Speaker 5: I didn't really start drinking until I became twenty one.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Well that's great.
- 11:54Speaker 6: I'm not even lying, like that's real.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Well that's great. Alex Wartz coming up, because that makes
- 12:02Speaker 1: one of us here. Alex Warren's next on Big ninety
- 12:05Speaker 1: eight point seven. We do want to congratulate you for
- 12:07Speaker 1: graduating when you hope you and we hope you have
- 12:09Speaker 1: a good party. But just remember, you know that would
- 12:12Speaker 1: be illegal for mom and dad to hand you that
- 12:15Speaker 1: bush light.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I need some good.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 12:25Speaker 4: good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 12:30Speaker 1: A little North Dakota history got the Hollywood treatment this
- 12:33Speaker 1: week in Libson or Lisbon, excuse me Lisbon. The Historic
- 12:38Speaker 1: Scenic Theater officially the longest continuously running movie theater in
- 12:44Speaker 1: America at one hundred and fifteen years old, it rolled
- 12:47Speaker 1: out the red carpet for the premiere of Madora, Empress
- 12:52Speaker 1: of the bad Lands. And this wasn't your typical movie night.
- 12:55Speaker 1: There were horses pulling a US Marshall jail wagon down
- 12:59Speaker 1: the street, a wild West field throughout the town, and
- 13:03Speaker 1: inside the Scenic's famous popcorn with a buttery recipe that
- 13:07Speaker 1: uses sixteen sticks a night, a North Dakota made movie,
- 13:12Speaker 1: a historic hometown theater, and a community coming together to
- 13:15Speaker 1: celebrate history. This is Joe Staltz, the Scenic Theater owner,
- 13:20Speaker 1: our area.
- 13:20Speaker 5: The only place you'll see it here to have this experience,
- 13:24Speaker 5: So it's us.
- 13:24Speaker 2: That's what I think. What an awesome experience that would
- 13:27Speaker 2: have been. To check out.
- 13:28Speaker 6: I'm hung up on the sixteen sticks of butter.
- 13:31Speaker 2: That's right, you can throw sixteen more in there. I'd
- 13:33Speaker 2: eat it.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Yeah, congratulations to them. That's super super cool. And you
- 13:37Speaker 1: know my favorite quote. If you don't here, it is
- 13:39Speaker 1: broken crayons, they still color. And the world is full
- 13:42Speaker 1: of nice people. If you can't find one, you gotta
- 13:44Speaker 1: be one.
