- 0:00Speaker 1: We have a busy Friday ahead, 106.7 Light FM. Thank
- 0:03Speaker 1: you for having us on. It's Cubby along with Christine
- 0:04Speaker 1: and producer Kristen. So this hour we'll be hearing from
- 0:08Speaker 1: Harry Medved, our movie dude. He's calling in around 6.50
- 0:11Speaker 1: this morning. A.J. McClain of the Backstreet Boys live in
- 0:15Speaker 1: studio at 8 o'clock.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Exciting.
- 0:17Speaker 1: And then we look forward to tomorrow where you and I, Christine,
- 0:19Speaker 1: will be hanging out at Touch a Truck.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Touch a Truck.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Touch a Truck. There was a song called Touch It.
- 0:27Speaker 1: I won't play the rest.
- 0:28Speaker 2: You don't want to play that for the little kids tomorrow?
- 0:30Speaker 1: No, no. But there might be a good song.
- 0:32Speaker 2: That's a good song.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yeah, here we go. That was Monifa. If I was
- 0:38Speaker 1: DJing Touch a Truck, I would play that, but like
- 0:40Speaker 1: a really clean version.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Here are four and five-year-olds.
- 0:42Speaker 3: There you go.
- 0:43Speaker 1: So we're going to be at Lincoln Tech in South Plainfield,
- 0:46Speaker 1: New Jersey. It's a completely free event from 10 a.m.
- 0:49Speaker 1: to 2 p.m. tomorrow. I hope you can make it
- 0:51Speaker 1: where it's like you're touching fire trucks, you're climbing on
- 0:54Speaker 1: fire trucks, police cars. I'm screaming. construction trucks. You can
- 0:58Speaker 1: drive Christine Nagy's car, right? They can take it for
- 1:00Speaker 1: a spin.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:01Speaker 1: You're a celebrity, so they can sit in Christine Nagy's car.
- 1:06Speaker 1: And since we're a week away from Halloween, there's going
- 1:10Speaker 1: to be a lot of Halloween things, right?
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah, we've got pumpkin painting, which is fun. You picked
- 1:15Speaker 2: up thousands of pumpkins recently. It's happy. You know how
- 1:18Speaker 2: that is. We have Hail Bay Speedway. We've got food trucks, trick-or-treating,
- 1:23Speaker 2: photo moments. spooky rooms, welding, an excavator, simulator, games, campus tours,
- 1:31Speaker 2: claw machine with amazing prizes.
- 1:33Speaker 1: That's going to be a problem. I don't know what
- 1:37Speaker 1: it is with kids. Maybe it's just my kids.
- 1:38Speaker 2: They love that stuff, yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 1: But Naomi, six, Miles, four, they see a claw machine,
- 1:43Speaker 1: they run right to it.
- 1:44Speaker 2: They're going to be there.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Your kids too, Kristen? Yeah, Jagger and Bowie. It's something
- 1:48Speaker 1: about the chance of winning something. When What they're picking
- 1:52Speaker 1: up in that claw machine, you could buy for a
- 1:54Speaker 1: buck somewhere else.
- 1:55Speaker 2: But then they're determined to get that.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Right. They'll spend $ 10 to get it. Yeah.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Absolutely. And then also they're taking blood donations tomorrow.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't know that.
- 2:04Speaker 2: One blood donation can help save a life in this fall.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Come together, give back, help make sure blood is there
- 2:09Speaker 2: when our neighbors need it most. So the Bloodmobile is
- 2:12Speaker 2: excited to be at Touch a Truck tomorrow as well.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So the kids are playing and maybe the adults will
- 2:17Speaker 2: be able to donate.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Well, it's entirely free, once again, South Plainfield, New Jersey,
- 2:22Speaker 1: on the Lincoln Tech campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- 2:25Speaker 1: And away we go. Anything else on your mind, Christine?
- 2:28Speaker 1: I mean, I'm kind of looking forward and not backwards.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I am wondering if your fiancé heard our conversation about
- 2:34Speaker 1: his texting, about how he texted the word poop.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I may have outed myself as soon as I left
- 2:39Speaker 2: the station yesterday.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Oh, what happened?
- 2:41Speaker 2: Remember I told you guys, well, as long as he
- 2:43Speaker 2: doesn't hear this because we had the text message that
- 2:45Speaker 2: ended in, I'm not too drunk, poop. Right. And it
- 2:48Speaker 2: just ended poop.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And we're not sure if he meant pooped.
- 2:50Speaker 2: What the heck was that? So I'm doing talk to
- 2:53Speaker 2: text in the car. And I was like, we may
- 2:56Speaker 2: have talked about this. We may be wondering what you meant.
- 3:01Speaker 2: And he was like, you know, like the hand smacking.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Oh, the face plant emoji?
- 3:04Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:04Speaker 2: He was like, oh, no.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Did he mention what he meant?
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah, he meant to say pooped. Like I'm pooped.
- 3:11Speaker 1: And that's what listeners thought.
- 3:12Speaker 2: And that's what we thought.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Right.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Matt, Matt DeFede, who's our realtor friend, said, I'm sure
- 3:17Speaker 2: he meant pooped and the listeners. And I said, it's OK.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Everybody backed you up and they thought that's what you meant.
- 3:23Speaker 2: But I think he's like he can't believe that we
- 3:25Speaker 2: discuss these things.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Because Eric doesn't wake up until like 1 p.m. He's
- 3:28Speaker 1: a drummer. He's out late. So he hardly hears our show.
- 3:31Speaker 1: And then he wakes up probably to all these messages.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:34Speaker 2: He had a gig last night. I left this morning
- 3:35Speaker 2: and I could doors closed. full-on hear the snoring through
- 3:39Speaker 2: the door as I was leaving.
- 3:41Speaker 4: So, yes.
- 3:42Speaker 1: And by the way, last question. We have to go
- 3:43Speaker 1: to break. Coco wanted to know if he's coming to
- 3:45Speaker 1: touch a truck.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Oh, I wish he was coming to touch a truck. No,
- 3:48Speaker 2: he's got the gigs in the evening.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Yeah, so he'll be sleeping.
- 3:50Speaker 2: And we're there at 10 in the morning.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Which is like.
- 3:53Speaker 2: For a drummer?
- 3:53Speaker 1: 4 a.m. for him.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I wish I could bring him.
- 3:56Speaker 1: All right, we'll see you tomorrow, everybody. It's Light FM
- 3:59Speaker 1: coming right back with two pretty cool things.
- 4:01Speaker 5: More Covey and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Next on Light FM.
- 4:05Speaker 6: Okay.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I need to tell you two things.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Covey and Christine's.
- 4:11Speaker 6: Two pretty cool things.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Christine here. Here's a very New York way to pick
- 4:16Speaker 1: a pumpkin. You take a ferry. Pumpkin Point returns to
- 4:19Speaker 1: Governor's Island tomorrow. Nolan Park, tomorrow and Sunday from 10
- 4:23Speaker 1: to 5. There's pumpkin picking. There's painting, trick-or-treating, live performances,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and fall foliage walks. And you can bring a reusable
- 4:33Speaker 1: bag for your pumpkin and then leave extra time for
- 4:35Speaker 1: the ferry, of course. But pretty cool. It's going to
- 4:37Speaker 1: be a beautiful weekend. Get on the ferry and head
- 4:39Speaker 1: to Pumpkin Point, again on Governor's Island. Nolan Park tomorrow.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Very nice.
- 4:44Speaker 1: And Sunday.
- 4:45Speaker 2: A lot of fun stuff going on.
- 4:46Speaker 1: What do you have, Christine?
- 4:47Speaker 2: Oh, I love this. What do dogs dream about? A
- 4:50Speaker 2: sleep expert says, I think I have the answer. Her
- 4:54Speaker 2: name is Dr. Deirdre Barrett from Harvard. She said, they're
- 4:58Speaker 2: dreaming about you. Because just like humans, when we go
- 5:01Speaker 2: to sleep, we kind of are playing back the events
- 5:04Speaker 2: of the day in our head. And she said, dogs
- 5:07Speaker 2: are doing the same thing. Like, that's their daily experience. So,
- 5:11Speaker 2: She said, at the end of the day, your dog
- 5:13Speaker 2: is dreaming about you.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I thought they were dreaming of fire hydrants.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Well, you know how they're funny? Like sometimes they like
- 5:20Speaker 2: run in their sleep. You know, like you see the
- 5:22Speaker 2: little paws go and their nose or their, you know,
- 5:25Speaker 2: they make the little sounds. So you wonder like, yeah,
- 5:27Speaker 2: like are they chasing something?
- 5:29Speaker 1: So cute.
- 5:29Speaker 2: What is going on? Cats do the same thing.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Now we wonder what our cats are thinking of.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Oh, you know that, Archie's just dreaming about you all
- 5:36Speaker 2: the time. Christine, yes.
- 5:37Speaker 1: We're coming right back. Light FM, more variety from the
- 5:40Speaker 1: 80s through today. Don't forget A.J. McClain of the Backstreet Boys.
- 5:43Speaker 1: He's live in studio, 8 o'clock.
- 5:45Speaker 5: More Covey and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Next on Light FM.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Flying Delta Airlines when you go on vacation in December.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Do you know, Christine? Are you flying United? You're flying United.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yes.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Well, you're not going to be too bad. If you're
- 5:56Speaker 1: flying Delta, you'd be on time. So travel experts have
- 6:01Speaker 1: looked into the best airlines as far as timing goes,
- 6:06Speaker 1: best performance among U.S. airlines and how on time they are.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And Delta Airlines is number one. Seventy seven percent of
- 6:14Speaker 1: the time they are on time.
- 6:16Speaker 6: Good.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Yes, that's great.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Followed by number two, Allegiant Air, Alaska Airlines at number three.
- 6:22Speaker 1: United Airlines number four.
- 6:25Speaker 2: That's our friend Edie, by the way. Good morning, Edie.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Edie was the one that she scared me. I thought
- 6:29Speaker 1: I was being arrested in Newark. Oh, yeah.
- 6:32Speaker 2: She would have you locked up.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Because she's so nice. Because I was getting ready to
- 6:35Speaker 1: board an airplane.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Because she's like one of our number one fans.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Oh, she's so nice.
- 6:40Speaker 1: A couple weeks ago, I'm getting ready to board a plane.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And she like, not didn't grab me, but touched my
- 6:44Speaker 1: shoulder as I'm giving them the gate agent my ticket.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:48Speaker 1: And it went beep, beep, you know, I had beeps.
- 6:50Speaker 1: And it's just like, you know, you know, you're an aisle.
- 6:53Speaker 1: You know, you're a emergency exit. You have to confirm that.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And and I'm walking on almost on the jetway. And
- 7:00Speaker 1: Edie goes, come in, come in, come in.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 1: And she was so nice. But for a minute, it
- 7:05Speaker 1: startled me.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I thought you were in trouble.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I was in trouble.
- 7:07Speaker 2: She wanted to say hi because she had been in
- 7:08Speaker 2: a meeting and was trying to get to you before,
- 7:11Speaker 2: you know.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:12Speaker 2: She couldn't get to you as early as she wanted to.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Well, United Airlines, you're doing pretty good. You are number
- 7:16Speaker 1: four on time. American Airlines, number five. Southwest Airlines, number six.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Frontier Airlines, number seven. JetBlue is on time 59.7% of
- 7:24Speaker 1: the time. So 77% is number one, 59.7%. is number eight.
- 7:33Speaker 1: It's a big difference right there.
- 7:34Speaker 2: That's a big drop-off, yeah. We're doing international for United.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yeah, wait, tell everybody where you're going. Have you talked
- 7:41Speaker 1: about it on the air yet?
- 7:42Speaker 2: I haven't, because we just... Have we talked about it
- 7:45Speaker 2: on the air yet? We kind of did. Oh, right, right.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Well, you're a travel agent.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Yes, Kelly. We love you, Kelly. Kelly Brennan, our travel agent.
- 7:52Speaker 2: We talked again last night, and we solidified the plan,
- 7:55Speaker 2: so boom, it's happening. I fell in love with the
- 7:58Speaker 2: German Christmas markets last year, so... We're going back to Cologne.
- 8:02Speaker 1: In December. Yes. So you're flying Newark to Cologne.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Newark to, we have to go to Munich.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Oh, you're changing Munich?
- 8:08Speaker 4: Yes.
- 8:08Speaker 2: And then go to Cologne. It's like Cologne. Like the
- 8:11Speaker 2: way Americans say it, it's like Cologne.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Right, we say Cologne.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. But the airport in Munich has its
- 8:18Speaker 2: own Christmas market, by the way. So we have a
- 8:21Speaker 2: big layover when we're there.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Oh, I remember you telling me about this.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:24Speaker 1: You were wondering if maybe you could leave the airport
- 8:27Speaker 1: or is the Christmas market- Within the airport.
- 8:29Speaker 2: It's within the airport.
- 8:30Speaker 1: So you don't have to leave, go past security.
- 8:32Speaker 2: You don't have to leave, but it's like where my
- 8:33Speaker 2: relatives met me last year. So I'm wondering if that's
- 8:35Speaker 2: a part, like we're already checked in, you know, like
- 8:38Speaker 2: we're We're already through security because we're transferring from one
- 8:41Speaker 2: flight to another.
- 8:42Speaker 1: And your luggage is moving, too.
- 8:43Speaker 2: And the luggage is moving. So are we going to
- 8:45Speaker 2: be able to go out and play for a little bit?
- 8:47Speaker 2: And I'm hoping maybe my relatives can meet us there.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Or are we going to be like stuck at the gate?
- 8:51Speaker 2: And then we go to Cologne because it was just
- 8:54Speaker 2: so their Christmas markets were a dream. The Angel Market
- 8:57Speaker 2: is so beautiful. And then after that, we go to Vienna.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Man, that's a good trip right there.
- 9:02Speaker 6: Yes.
- 9:03Speaker 1: And what are you bringing us back?
- 9:04Speaker 2: What would you guys like? What did I bring last year?
- 9:07Speaker 1: You always do good gifts.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Some chocolates. Did I bring you chocolates last year?
- 9:10Speaker 3: Yeah, you did.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Kristen, I brought you, I know, the little nutcracker cup.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Because Eric and I are big fans of Glühwein. Glühwein? Yeah,
- 9:20Speaker 2: it's mulled wine. It's hot wine.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Okay, that's what I want.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Yes.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I can't bring back that. But I can bring back
- 9:27Speaker 2: the little mugs they come in because they're all like collectible.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Like each market has its own mug and they're just so,
- 9:31Speaker 2: so cute.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Seriously, no pressure. But I do love alcohol if you
- 9:34Speaker 1: can get it in here.
- 9:35Speaker 2: You have to be there when they warm it up.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:38Speaker 2: But maybe if I could bring back, I wonder if
- 9:40Speaker 2: they sell like the spices and you can make your own.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I'll look for it.
- 9:43Speaker 6: All right.
- 9:43Speaker 1: December, a trip to remember, it sounds like.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Harry Medved, all things movies. What's poppin' this weekend? That's
- 9:50Speaker 1: what all the cool people say. What's poppin' this weekend
- 9:52Speaker 1: at the box office? We're going to find out next
- 9:54Speaker 1: on Light FM.
- 9:55Speaker 5: More Covey and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 9:58Speaker 5: Next on Light FM.
- 10:10Speaker 2: To tell us what's new in the theaters. Good morning, Harry.
- 10:12Speaker 6: Thank you so much.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Happy Friday, buddy. Good morning.
- 10:16Speaker 6: Hey, happy Friday. You know, it's always a great weekend
- 10:19Speaker 6: when there's something for everyone.
- 10:20Speaker 1: What's going on? What are we going to go see
- 10:21Speaker 1: this weekend?
- 10:22Speaker 6: Well, it's not just one movie. That's the thing.
- 10:24Speaker 7: There's a holdover from last week, but it's expanding. It's
- 10:27Speaker 7: called You Can See Everything, which is true at theaters.
- 10:29Speaker 7: You can really see everything. But this is a documentary
- 10:33Speaker 7: from Lance Oppenheim and Nathan Fielder.
- 10:35Speaker 6: I don't know if you guys know his work. It's funny.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Oh, Nathan's work's good. He's amazing.
- 10:40Speaker 7: Sasha Baron Cohen also has a movie opening this weekend.
- 10:42Speaker 7: No one's going to be able to see it because
- 10:44Speaker 7: everyone's going to see Nathan Fielder's film. And he's kind
- 10:47Speaker 7: of like, as he called him, his godson, because he's
- 10:50Speaker 7: an expert on this undercover comedy genre. And this is
- 10:54Speaker 7: a documentary about Elizabeth Holmes, a Silicon Valley inventor who
- 11:00Speaker 7: has 34 days left before she goes to prison. And
- 11:03Speaker 7: she invites a camera crew into her home so she
- 11:05Speaker 7: can tell her own side of the story. And it
- 11:07Speaker 7: is absolutely bonkers. It is a wild ride. The movie
- 11:10Speaker 7: is three hours long. You will not believe that you
- 11:13Speaker 7: will enjoy a documentary that's three hours long until you
- 11:15Speaker 7: see this film.
- 11:16Speaker 6: I mean, it's just stunning.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I am hearing from friends of mine who have seen
- 11:20Speaker 2: it who think, like, this could actually win Best Picture
- 11:24Speaker 2: at the Oscars, that it's that good.
- 11:26Speaker 7: It will likely be the first documentary ever to get
- 11:29Speaker 7: nominated for Best Picture. Wicker is another film I would
- 11:31Speaker 7: highly recommend. This is a raunchy, romantic comedy fable. about
- 11:37Speaker 7: a fisher woman many, many years ago in a small
- 11:40Speaker 7: little village who is tired of everyone making fun of
- 11:43Speaker 7: her because she doesn't have a husband. A very small-minded town.
- 11:47Speaker 7: And so she goes to Peter Dinklage, who plays a
- 11:50Speaker 7: basket weaver. And the fisher woman is played by Olivia Colman,
- 11:53Speaker 7: Oscar winner. And she says, make me a husband out
- 11:55Speaker 7: of wicker.
- 11:56Speaker 3: And he does.
- 11:57Speaker 6: And the husband is Alexander Skarsgård, who looks amazing.
- 12:01Speaker 1: He's a very tall man.
- 12:03Speaker 7: And beefy and immediately gets to work on making her happy.
- 12:07Speaker 7: And the third one is Wildwood. Now, do you guys
- 12:10Speaker 7: know anything about this movie, Laika's latest stop-motion animation film?
- 12:14Speaker 2: No.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Nothing to do with New Jersey, is it?
- 12:17Speaker 2: Wildwood, New Jersey, yes.
- 12:20Speaker 6: No, this is Wildwood, Oregon, pretty much.
- 12:23Speaker 7: It takes place right outside of Portland where Laika, the
- 12:25Speaker 7: animation studios, the guys who brought you Coraline, that's where
- 12:28Speaker 7: they're located. It's, you know, Travis Knight, the son of
- 12:33Speaker 7: Phil Knight, the founder of Nike, he started this studio
- 12:35Speaker 7: many years ago.
- 12:35Speaker 6: They've been working on this film for 16 years.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Whoa.
- 12:38Speaker 7: It's the longest stop-motion animated film ever, and it's probably
- 12:41Speaker 7: the best one ever. It is about a teenage girl
- 12:45Speaker 7: who is supposed to watch her little baby brother, kind
- 12:48Speaker 7: of like in Labyrinth, if you remember that movie with
- 12:50Speaker 7: Jennifer Connelly. And, of course, the little baby brother gets kidnapped.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 12:54Speaker 7: By a a murder of crows now i love a
- 12:57Speaker 7: movie where crows are the bad guys for me that's
- 12:59Speaker 7: like i'm not a big fan of crows but uh
- 13:02Speaker 7: they take them to this impassable wilderness where she has
- 13:05Speaker 7: to do battle with this uh queen played by carrie
- 13:08Speaker 7: mulligan and the movie is absolutely spectacular but it is
- 13:12Speaker 7: not for small kids um common sense media is saying
- 13:15Speaker 7: if you're over um 11.
- 13:17Speaker 6: That's OK.
- 13:18Speaker 7: But don't take little kids to see it because it's
- 13:20Speaker 7: pretty violent, I must say. And it's pretty dark and scary,
- 13:23Speaker 7: but wonderful. And it's from Fathom Entertainment. It is in
- 13:26Speaker 7: all theaters across the country. And I hope it does
- 13:29Speaker 7: really well this weekend because a fantastic film is like
- 13:31Speaker 7: 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. So if you're looking for
- 13:34Speaker 7: something adventurous in the animation field and something really thrilling,
- 13:38Speaker 7: kind of like a Lord of the Rings spectacle, go
- 13:40Speaker 7: see Wildwood.
- 13:41Speaker 2: It sounds like we've got great choices this weekend.
- 13:44Speaker 1: It's amazing. It's hard to keep up.
- 13:45Speaker 6: There's so many good movies.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Harry, always a pleasure. And the big rumor is we're
- 13:49Speaker 1: going to see you in person in two weeks. Yeah, no,
- 13:52Speaker 1: I'm thrilled.
- 13:53Speaker 7: There's going to be the 100th anniversary of a small
- 13:55Speaker 7: town theater in Cranford, New Jersey. They're really like the
- 13:58Speaker 7: anchor of the Main Street there. It's called the Cranford Theater.
- 14:02Speaker 7: And that's in the beginning of November. So I believe
- 14:06Speaker 7: they have a public event like very early in November.
- 14:09Speaker 6: And I'll be there on November 9th. So we'd love
- 14:11Speaker 6: to come and see you the morning of.
- 14:13Speaker 2: We would love that. Thank you, Harry.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Enjoy your weekend, Harry. Thank you.
- 14:17Speaker 2: In the meantime, enjoy Hollywood.
- 14:17Speaker 6: Have a great time at the movies, guys. Thank you.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Thank you, Harry, from the Cinema United. Thank you so much.
- 14:23Speaker 2: We'll talk to you very soon.
- 14:25Speaker 5: Mort Covey and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Next on Light FM.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Christine has everything you need to know. Good morning, Christine.
- 14:32Speaker 2: And good morning, Covey. Thank you. Well, horse-drawn carriages are
- 14:35Speaker 2: about to become a thing of the past in New
- 14:36Speaker 2: York City. City Council did vote yesterday to ban the carriages.
- 14:40Speaker 2: and have them phased out by June 1st of 2028.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Despite the vote, union officials that represent drivers say they
- 14:48Speaker 2: plan to take the city to court over the matter.
- 14:51Speaker 2: President Trump saying Elon Musk restored Starlink satellite service to Ukraine.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Ukrainian forces use the military version of Starlink called StarShield.
- 15:01Speaker 2: to communicate and to use drones in their war against
- 15:03Speaker 2: Russia and reported a slowdown in their service last week
- 15:07Speaker 2: that affected their air defense. And you'll be able to
- 15:10Speaker 2: do some early boating starting tomorrow in New York and
- 15:13Speaker 2: New Jersey. The polls will open up, so you can
- 15:16Speaker 2: do that. The World Series gets underway today. Milwaukee Brewers
- 15:21Speaker 2: will host the Tampa Bay Rays. Game one, the first
- 15:23Speaker 2: pitch is at 8 o'clock tonight. Cubby, I thought you
- 15:26Speaker 2: might enjoy this. McDonald's is bringing back the McRib.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Starting Tuesday for a limited time. That time of season, right?
- 15:33Speaker 1: Or that time of year?
- 15:33Speaker 2: Is it usually this time of year?
- 15:35Speaker 1: Usually late October, November, they usually push it out. Of course,
- 15:38Speaker 1: in Germany, in Munich, I went to Munich with my
- 15:41Speaker 1: wife one time.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Yes.
- 15:42Speaker 1: It's on the menu all year round.
- 15:43Speaker 2: I mean, that's a reason to move there.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I love it. Yeah. I love it.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Okay, let's go to Munich. In sports hockey, Devils beat
- 15:49Speaker 2: the Ducks 4-1. Rangers lost to the Maple Leafs 5-4.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Islanders lost to the Kings 3-2. Football, Bears beat the
- 15:56Speaker 2: Patriots 30-24. And on Sunday, Jets will play the Dolphins.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Giants will play the Texans. Our pool here, we're all
- 16:03Speaker 2: in on the Jets.
- 16:04Speaker 1: All in on the Jets, yeah. Wow.
- 16:06Speaker 2: And the most dangerous leftover that you probably have, and
- 16:10Speaker 2: we do, in your refrigerator right now is leftover rice.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Now, how is it dangerous?
- 16:16Speaker 2: Rice is a breeding ground for bacteria. What makes it
- 16:21Speaker 2: so full of bacteria, like such a hotbed for bacterial growth,
- 16:25Speaker 2: is that it contains a lot of starch. It doesn't
- 16:28Speaker 2: contain much protein, which means it's an ideal for home
- 16:32Speaker 2: for health-threatening bacteria. So a tip, cook only what you
- 16:35Speaker 2: want so you don't have any leftovers to spoil. And
- 16:38Speaker 2: I guess if it's leftover, get it in the fridge, like, immediately,
- 16:40Speaker 2: but can't hang out there too long, apparently.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Good to know. I had no idea about that. I know.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Mort Covey and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 16:48Speaker 5: Next on Light FM.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Christine, does producer Kristen need an oxygen mask? She is
- 16:53Speaker 1: ready for AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys, and I
- 16:56Speaker 1: think she's actually kind of nervous about this.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I think she's good. I think she can handle it.
- 17:00Speaker 2: She meets celebrities all the time.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Just say, like, I'm okay. I want to hear you talk.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Can you get air in your lungs? Oh, she's okay.
- 17:07Speaker 2: All right, okay. I'm okay.
- 17:08Speaker 3: All right.
- 17:09Speaker 1: AJ from the Backstreet Boys will be here at 8
- 17:11Speaker 1: o'clock live in studio, and he has something going on solo-wise,
- 17:15Speaker 1: and he's got some local shows. So we'll talk to
- 17:18Speaker 1: him in a minute.
- 17:19Speaker 2: It definitely is exciting, yes.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Well, not a minute, but, you know, like 8 o'clock.
- 17:21Speaker 2: A couple minutes.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Christine, you know, I feel like we do a lot
- 17:24Speaker 1: of stories around Halloween about hot costumes, sultry costumes.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Well, they usually are.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot of people on Facebook are posting the
- 17:32Speaker 1: risque pictures.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Yes, and I went on Amazon to look for a
- 17:35Speaker 2: costume for my friend Ann Sayre's Halloween party. Uh-huh. And
- 17:38Speaker 2: they're all, they're all like super sexy, you know, house cleaner, cat, witch.
- 17:43Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh, I want to be a little
- 17:45Speaker 2: more covered.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Well- Then follow this list.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Okay.
- 17:47Speaker 1: This is a complete 180. There's a list going online.
- 17:51Speaker 1: What's completely unsexy in the Halloween costume category?
- 17:56Speaker 2: The most unsexy costumes. Oh, that's cute.
- 17:58Speaker 1: And some of the comments are hilarious. And feel free
- 18:01Speaker 1: to text in if any of these trigger you at 44363.
- 18:05Speaker 1: But somebody wrote, none of your business. They're dressed as
- 18:09Speaker 1: a nun with a briefcase. And I kind of like
- 18:12Speaker 1: that for the comedy aspect of it.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:14Speaker 1: You're dressed up as a nun.
- 18:16Speaker 2: You have a briefcase.
- 18:17Speaker 1: And then what are you? Nun of your business. I
- 18:20Speaker 1: think that's kind of funny, actually. It is. But it's
- 18:22Speaker 1: completely unsexy.
- 18:23Speaker 2: I will just say that backfired on me one year.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Just one year. I went to something dressed as a
- 18:28Speaker 2: nun and I thought that was the most non-sexy costume.
- 18:30Speaker 2: And it turned out I had more guys hitting on
- 18:33Speaker 2: me than ever any night in my life. So just
- 18:36Speaker 2: putting it out there.
- 18:36Speaker 1: That's Monday's topic.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Okay. Okay.
- 18:39Speaker 1: What did you not expect?
- 18:40Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 18:41Speaker 1: And then it ended up making them kind of like,
- 18:43Speaker 1: you know, giddy.
- 18:44Speaker 2: This one, my group of girlfriends and I went as
- 18:46Speaker 2: the OG American girl dolls. I went as Kristen, a
- 18:48Speaker 2: girl from pioneer country. We loved it and had a blast.
- 18:52Speaker 2: It was 10, 10, not sexy. And I was looking
- 18:54Speaker 2: at Cubby.
- 18:55Speaker 3: You know, Amy Madigan.
- 18:56Speaker 2: You're looking at me?
- 18:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm unsexy, yes.
- 18:58Speaker 2: No, Cubby isn't trying to get your attention. Amy Madigan
- 19:01Speaker 2: in Weapons. Do you remember that movie last year? Had
- 19:03Speaker 2: a lot of buzz.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Vaguely.
- 19:04Speaker 2: And she was up for an Oscar. Did she win?
- 19:06Speaker 2: And yes, I was looking at that. And Anne even
- 19:09Speaker 2: said to me, she's like, you sure you want to
- 19:11Speaker 2: do that? Because that is then completely, right?
- 19:14Speaker 1: Not sexy.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:15Speaker 1: How about this one? I went as a one night stand,
- 19:19Speaker 1: the person said. It's a box with fake drawers and
- 19:22Speaker 1: a lampshade for a hat. And that's also funny. You know,
- 19:26Speaker 1: I'm a one night stand.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Oh, I like this. I once painted a refrigerator box
- 19:29Speaker 2: to look like a house, wore it with striped stockings
- 19:32Speaker 2: and ruby slippers and said I was the Wicked Witch
- 19:34Speaker 2: of the East. That's a good way for me to hide.
- 19:36Speaker 1: There you go.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I like that.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Ladies, you have plenty of ideas if you don't want to,
- 19:40Speaker 1: you know, be too revealing.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Right.
- 19:42Speaker 1: How about somebody said I was Scott. I was Scout
- 19:46Speaker 1: from To Kill a Mockingbird and I wore my granddad's
- 19:49Speaker 1: old overalls. There you go.
- 19:50Speaker 2: You can be Scout.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Yes.
- 19:52Speaker 2: What about a thunderstorm? You might like this. I wore
- 19:55Speaker 2: all black, carried a flashlight and a spray bottle. And
- 19:58Speaker 2: when people asked what I was supposed to be, I
- 20:00Speaker 2: flickered the flashlight and squirted them.
- 20:02Speaker 3: With the water.
- 20:03Speaker 1: That is brilliant. I'm sorry.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 20:07Speaker 1: A guy could do that. I want to be a
- 20:08Speaker 1: thunderstorm for Halloween.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I think you do.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Just with a spray bottle. And then maybe get like
- 20:12Speaker 1: a strobe light for the lightning.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I love it. Yeah. All right. So hit us up. 44363.
- 20:18Speaker 1: If you have an outfit that is completely... unsexy like
- 20:21Speaker 1: the ones we just mentioned.
- 20:22Speaker 5: More cubby and christine and the great music variety you
- 20:25Speaker 5: expect next on light fm.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Brutal on light fm with cubby and christine in the

- 21:30Speaker 6: Yes, it's Backstreet Boys, Shape of My Heart.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Yeah! You're a winner. Who are we talking to? This
- 21:37Speaker 1: is Phil from Long Island. Phil, congratulations.

- 21:45Speaker 1: All right, we're going to go back to the year 2000.
- 21:48Speaker 1: It's BSB, Shape of My Heart. AJ McLean of the
- 21:51Speaker 1: Backstreet Boys will be here at 8 o'clock live. Light FM.
- 21:55Speaker 5: More Cubby and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 21:59Speaker 5: Next on Light FM.
- 22:00Speaker 1: 106.7 Light FM with Cubby and Christine in the morning.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Producer Kristen hanging out. And we have AJ McLean in
- 22:06Speaker 1: the building.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Yes, we do.
- 22:07Speaker 1: From the Backstreet Boys. We'll bring him in here in
- 22:10Speaker 1: about like 12 minutes or so, Christine. But what do
- 22:12Speaker 1: you know? When someone like AJ comes up, you get
- 22:15Speaker 1: a nice spread.
- 22:16Speaker 2: A beautiful spread.
- 22:17Speaker 1: We have Sophia in studio. And she's with the Royal
- 22:20Speaker 1: Sweet Fairy. It's a premier event planning and design company
- 22:24Speaker 1: specializing in everything from intimate gatherings and milestone celebrations to
- 22:30Speaker 1: lavish affairs, corporate events, you name it. Star-studded occasions like
- 22:34Speaker 1: today with AJ here.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Yes.
- 22:36Speaker 1: And Sophia, you're here right now. Hi, Sophia. What did
- 22:39Speaker 1: you put out there? I've never seen a spread like this.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Oh, we have a little bit of everything.
- 22:43Speaker 4: So we have some breakfast treats, some desserts, some lunch
- 22:47Speaker 4: meats and cheese. So just a little bit of everything
- 22:50Speaker 4: since it's Halloween, we also... threw in not only the desserts,
- 22:54Speaker 4: but some candy for you guys to do.
- 22:56Speaker 2: A little trick-or-treating. You've got a theme with skeletons. So
- 22:58Speaker 2: this is a charcuterie board beyond charcuterie boards. This is
- 23:02Speaker 2: like the mother of all.
- 23:04Speaker 4: Yeah, it's the motherboard of charcuterie grazing.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Yep, exactly.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Oh, grazing table. That's what it's called.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Yes.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Okay.
- 23:10Speaker 6: It's gorgeous.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Your company's kind of exploded. I see you have 20,000 followers.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Did you kind of start this? Is it all you
- 23:16Speaker 1: or other people?
- 23:17Speaker 4: Yeah. No, it's just me. It's a one-woman show.
- 23:20Speaker 1: And you're on Instagram at The Royal Sweet Fairy. You've
- 23:24Speaker 1: got to follow her. She's amazing. The Royal Sweet Fairy.
- 23:27Speaker 1: And you are the owner. And you have a lot
- 23:30Speaker 1: of great things happening, don't you?
- 23:32Speaker 4: Yeah, thank you.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Yeah, we've seen you on Real Housewives of New Jersey.
- 23:35Speaker 2: It's like word is spreading. Yeah, it's been really fun.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Did this start off? This is our second one.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Okay.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I was going to ask if it started off during
- 23:42Speaker 2: the pandemic. When did all of this happen for you?
- 23:45Speaker 4: When my career kind of like started off. So it
- 23:48Speaker 4: started in like 2019. I started doing treats for Aaron Carter,
- 23:52Speaker 4: who then it just became word of mouth. And then
- 23:54Speaker 4: I started working with Kelsey Watts, who is a phenomenal
- 23:58Speaker 4: actress and musician on Broadway. So I started doing like
- 24:01Speaker 4: her singles and her single releases. And then when she
- 24:05Speaker 4: went on six on Broadway, Moulin Rouge. So just from there,
- 24:08Speaker 4: just kind of trickled on and word of mouth. And
- 24:11Speaker 4: then I started doing Housewives a few years ago. But
- 24:15Speaker 4: then I started filming with them since last season. So
- 24:19Speaker 4: our new season is coming out in December.
- 24:20Speaker 2: And you're a Jersey girl yourself?
- 24:22Speaker 4: I'm a Jersey girl.
- 24:23Speaker 6: Wow.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Well, if you want custom cakes, if you want treats,
- 24:26Speaker 1: grazing tables, you name it, you do it all. They
- 24:30Speaker 1: can contact you on Instagram, right?
- 24:31Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Okay. The Royal Sweet Fairy. And your name is Sophia,
- 24:37Speaker 1: and you have done some good things. Thank you so
- 24:39Speaker 1: much for coming up here.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Thank you for having me.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Oh, you just said hi to AJ from the Backstreet Boys.
- 24:44Speaker 2: I did.
- 24:44Speaker 1: How are you feeling at the moment?
- 24:46Speaker 2: I'm feeling good.
- 24:47Speaker 4: You know, I've met him a couple times, but I
- 24:49Speaker 4: can't lie. Like, every time you're around a Backstreet Boy, like,
- 24:52Speaker 4: you know, your heart brings you back to when you
- 24:54Speaker 4: were seven and eight years old. You know, nine, growing up,
- 24:57Speaker 4: wanting to marry them and stuff.
- 24:58Speaker 3: So, you know, it's great.
- 25:00Speaker 4: It's a full circle moment. Like, never in my wildest
- 25:03Speaker 4: dreams did I ever think, I would be here in
- 25:06Speaker 4: your studio, number one. And number two, like, making stuff
- 25:09Speaker 4: for aj so.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Thank you it's incredible everybody's happy win.
- 25:13Speaker 5: Win more cubby and christine and the great music variety
- 25:17Speaker 5: you expect next on light.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Fm 106.7 light fm cubby and christine in the morning
- 25:22Speaker 1: along producer kristin well since we announced he was going
- 25:25Speaker 1: to be here a few days ago i can't tell
- 25:27Speaker 1: you the amount of texting we've gotten of people so
- 25:29Speaker 1: excited about this oh yes we have live in studio
- 25:32Speaker 1: aj mclean of the back hello good morning you made
- 25:35Speaker 1: it Morgan.
- 25:36Speaker 3: I did. Yes.
- 25:38Speaker 1: And you said that this was the latest you've slept
- 25:40Speaker 1: in a long time.
- 25:41Speaker 3: This was, yeah, this was the first time since probably
- 25:47Speaker 3: beginning of September that I actually got a full eight
- 25:50Speaker 3: hours of sleep, which I desperately needed. We caught you
- 25:55Speaker 3: on a good day. Yeah. I mean, so we finished
- 25:59Speaker 3: our residency in Vegas, or at least this leg, end
- 26:02Speaker 3: of August. I had three days off. I came here.
- 26:07Speaker 3: My family just moved here. We're renting a place for
- 26:11Speaker 3: the next year for my daughters to go to a
- 26:13Speaker 3: really cool dance school out here. And they would move
- 26:16Speaker 3: here yesterday if they had their way. And so I
- 26:20Speaker 3: came here for a couple days, went straight to London.
- 26:23Speaker 3: We went into rehearsals for two weeks and then started
- 26:27Speaker 3: the 10 stadiums that we just did over in Germany.
- 26:31Speaker 3: And then I flew home on October 8th back to L.A.,
- 26:34Speaker 3: two days off. rehearsals from my tour and then started
- 26:38Speaker 3: my tour on the 19th. So yeah.
- 26:41Speaker 1: How do you remember all this?
- 26:42Speaker 3: You know, it's my, my best friend says the same
- 26:45Speaker 3: thing to me. He's like, you don't write anything down.
- 26:47Speaker 3: I'm like, but if you think about it, I have
- 26:49Speaker 3: all our songs in our head, all of our choreography
- 26:52Speaker 3: in our head for the last three decades. It's starting
- 26:55Speaker 3: to fall out of my brain though. Like I'm, I'm
- 26:57Speaker 3: like starting to like double book myself for things. And
- 26:59Speaker 3: I just interviewed a a potential assistant. Like I never
- 27:04Speaker 3: thought I would ever need an assistant, but it's starting
- 27:06Speaker 3: to get to that point where I'm like, Ooh, I
- 27:08Speaker 3: might need some help.
- 27:09Speaker 2: So, you know, I understand that we're not even as
- 27:12Speaker 2: crazy as you are, but I think we could all
- 27:14Speaker 2: use a personal assistant.
- 27:15Speaker 3: I'm just like, Oh, I might need to break, break down.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I think you do.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Well, we're so happy for you. Your new sophomore solo
- 27:21Speaker 1: album called sex, love and music is coming out black Friday. Yes.
- 27:25Speaker 1: So a little over a month from now, but you're
- 27:27Speaker 1: out there promoting it. You've got some local shows happening
- 27:29Speaker 1: in our area, right?
- 27:30Speaker 6: Yes. Yes.
- 27:32Speaker 3: I kick things off in Brooklyn. I just did Rhode
- 27:34Speaker 3: Island a couple days ago, and then we've got Montclair
- 27:37Speaker 3: and Huntington coming up this weekend. And then off to
- 27:42Speaker 3: North Carolina, and then I have a bit of a break,
- 27:44Speaker 3: and then we really pick up in Boston on... the
- 27:49Speaker 3: 3rd of November and then it's like really tour tour
- 27:52Speaker 3: like this has been do a show come back to
- 27:55Speaker 3: my house here in the city do you know that
- 27:58Speaker 3: kind of thing so it's not really on tour in
- 28:00Speaker 3: my mind yet but once Boston starts it's on the
- 28:03Speaker 3: bus right it's back on a proper tour which I
- 28:06Speaker 3: haven't been on a tour since DNA you know this
- 28:09Speaker 3: is this is nice it's a little breath of fresh
- 28:12Speaker 3: air to be back on a tour bus even though
- 28:13Speaker 3: I like being in one place in Vegas it's nice
- 28:16Speaker 3: yeah but I kind of miss being on a bus.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Oh, that's funny. A lot of musicians are like, no
- 28:23Speaker 2: more bus.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I don't think we'll ever do another
- 28:28Speaker 3: proper tour tour, maybe ever again, knowing that we can
- 28:32Speaker 3: do these little mini residencies. Like we have 12 stadiums
- 28:36Speaker 3: coming up in Toronto in February. And then, you know, Vegas,
- 28:40Speaker 3: everybody comes out to one location. So it's kind of
- 28:44Speaker 3: nice to post up. and actually put your clothes in
- 28:46Speaker 3: drawers and hang things up. It's kind of nice.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I want to play your new song, actually, and then
- 28:52Speaker 1: I have a bone to pick with you after we
- 28:53Speaker 1: play that new song.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Okay, pick that bone.
- 28:55Speaker 1: But this first song I want to play is your
- 28:57Speaker 1: new single, Into Your Heart. Now, it's only 2 minutes
- 29:00Speaker 1: and 25 seconds. It's an awfully short song. Is that
- 29:04Speaker 1: just the way things are these days?
- 29:05Speaker 3: Well, you know, it's funny.
- 29:07Speaker 1: And was it a TikTok world?
- 29:08Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I mean, it's interesting. Probably about five or
- 29:12Speaker 3: six years ago, I heard from a couple of producer
- 29:15Speaker 3: friends of mine that the sweet spot is two minutes
- 29:18Speaker 3: and 45 seconds.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 29:20Speaker 3: And my generation, it was three minutes and 30 seconds.
- 29:24Speaker 3: That's the radio edit, right? Right.
- 29:26Speaker 1: That's what I know.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:26Speaker 3: But songs actually, I think one of the first artists
- 29:30Speaker 3: to do two minutes and 45 seconds was actually Spice Girls, Wannabe.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Wannabe. You're correct.
- 29:35Speaker 3: And they did that on purpose because it was so short,
- 29:38Speaker 3: but just long enough that it made you want to
- 29:40Speaker 3: hear it immediately again. So that's the little sweet spot
- 29:44Speaker 3: is that 225 to 245, it makes you want to
- 29:49Speaker 3: just put it on repeat constantly. And, you know, sometimes
- 29:52Speaker 3: the attention span these days, if you go too long...
- 29:55Speaker 3: they kind of skipped to the next track.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Yeah, we've heard that before here at meetings. Don't go
- 30:00Speaker 1: too long.
- 30:00Speaker 3: I don't want anybody skipping anything on this album. I
- 30:03Speaker 3: want you to listen to everything all the way through.
- 30:05Speaker 1: All right, so let's play it. It's called Into Your Heart.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Yes, yes.
- 30:08Speaker 1: And you wrote it.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Yeah, me and my amazing writers, you know, Jeremy and
- 30:13Speaker 3: my buddy Ian, we put this on together and it
- 30:17Speaker 3: was kind of just a fluke. This was supposed to
- 30:19Speaker 3: be a bonus track that I was going to re-release
- 30:24Speaker 3: my first album. My name is Alexander James. I was
- 30:27Speaker 3: going to put this song on as a bonus track,
- 30:29Speaker 3: and then one song turned into now 16 songs and
- 30:33Speaker 3: turned into a full album, which is why we have Sex, Love,
- 30:35Speaker 3: and Music coming out on Black Friday.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Check it out.
- 30:38Speaker 3: You ready? Let's do it.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Into Your Heart, A.J. McClain on Light FM.
- 30:42Speaker 5: More Covey and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 30:46Speaker 5: Next on Light FM.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Yeah, A.J. McClain in the background, boys.
- 30:50Speaker 2: He's solo, though.
- 30:50Speaker 1: That's the way to start the morning.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 30:52Speaker 1: It's Into Your Heart on 106.7 Light FM. Great song, man.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Thank you, man. Thank you.
- 30:58Speaker 1: And again, short, but yeah, you want to hear it again.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Yeah, see? There's a little recipe for my, you know, yeah.
- 31:04Speaker 1: All right, now time to pick my bone here with AJ.
- 31:06Speaker 3: All right, pick that bone, bro.
- 31:07Speaker 2: What is up, Cubby?
- 31:08Speaker 1: For 20 years, we've had a running joke about getting
- 31:11Speaker 1: tattoos together. I have no tattoos, but of course, AJ
- 31:14Speaker 1: has a ton. And our good friend JoJo at iHeartRadio
- 31:18Speaker 1: in Los Angeles has a bunch of tattoos. So, you know,
- 31:20Speaker 1: we did the round the world trip back in 2000.
- 31:23Speaker 1: We all bonded.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys go way back.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Yeah. We had a joke like one day we're all
- 31:27Speaker 1: going to do tattoos together. Yep. Lo and behold, I'm
- 31:30Speaker 1: on Instagram live watching people and I stumbled across Jojo
- 31:34Speaker 1: and AJ getting tattoos together in Los Angeles.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Without me. And I'm not going to lie, I felt
- 31:43Speaker 1: like I was back in junior high and.
- 31:44Speaker 2: All my friends.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Well, there is a geographical challenge. You don't live in,
- 31:48Speaker 3: you know, L.A., but.
- 31:51Speaker 1: If you had told me about it, I would have
- 31:52Speaker 1: flown out.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Well, we still need to make this trifecta. Like, this
- 31:57Speaker 3: still needs to be... This needs to come into fruition,
- 32:00Speaker 3: so if... If we need JoJo to come out here
- 32:03Speaker 3: and we film you getting this tattoo, I think we
- 32:05Speaker 3: still need to do this.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Because don't you think it'd be funnier if I got
- 32:08Speaker 1: it because you guys have tons of ink and I
- 32:09Speaker 1: have nothing?
- 32:10Speaker 2: And you have none.
- 32:10Speaker 3: And this would be your first one. Right, right, right.
- 32:13Speaker 3: And I think if you do it, I think you
- 32:16Speaker 3: need to get both JoJo and my name on there.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Along with my kids, maybe.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Well, yes, yes, yes. And then maybe I'll just find
- 32:24Speaker 3: a way to add your name underneath JoJo's on mine
- 32:27Speaker 3: and he can do the same thing.
- 32:29Speaker 1: This will never happen.
- 32:30Speaker 2: You're up for this.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Well, you know what? Bromance.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Bromance. All right. Is there going to be new Backstreet
- 32:36Speaker 1: Boys music in 2027?
- 32:37Speaker 3: You know, we've been farting around with just different ideas
- 32:42Speaker 3: and concepts. Obviously, we're like knee deep into the.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Into the Millennium tour that's currently happening right now. And
- 32:51Speaker 3: then obviously Sphere is still going. We've got seven more
- 32:56Speaker 3: shows this year. We're doing the official F1 after party.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Then we have six holiday shows going into the New
- 33:02Speaker 3: Year's Eve show and New Year's. So finding the time
- 33:07Speaker 3: is obviously tricky, but we have some concepts and some ideas.
- 33:11Speaker 3: So who knows? I mean, is it even an album
- 33:14Speaker 3: world anymore? Not even necessarily. It could be an EP.
- 33:19Speaker 3: It could just be a single. I was blown away.
- 33:22Speaker 3: I'm always the last person to find things out amongst
- 33:25Speaker 3: the group. I don't know how that happens, but I'm
- 33:26Speaker 3: always like, oh, really? We're doing that? I got tagged
- 33:32Speaker 3: in a post to repost for your Grammy consideration our song,
- 33:37Speaker 3: Bottle Up. And I was like, what?
- 33:39Speaker 4: Nice.
- 33:40Speaker 3: I'm like, that's cool. And I thought to myself, how
- 33:43Speaker 3: ironic would it be? We've been nominated for nine Grammys
- 33:45Speaker 3: in our entire career and never won. If we win
- 33:49Speaker 3: our first Grammy... for Paw Patrol. Would be very ironic
- 33:54Speaker 3: and very serendipitous. But hey, a Grammy's a Grammy. Doesn't
- 33:59Speaker 3: matter what it's for.
- 34:00Speaker 1: I will say my daughter, Naomi, her favorite song is
- 34:03Speaker 1: Bottle Up.
- 34:04Speaker 3: I mean, it's a great record.
- 34:05Speaker 1: A couple times a week, she'll ask me to play it. Daddy,
- 34:07Speaker 1: bottle up. Daddy, bottle up.
- 34:08Speaker 3: I mean, it was written by Siobhan and Ed Sheeran,
- 34:12Speaker 3: and it's such a great, positive, fun song. And we
- 34:16Speaker 3: went to the premiere. And it was just kind of
- 34:19Speaker 3: cool to sit there and watch this movie, even though
- 34:21Speaker 3: we're all grownups. We have kids that are, Nick's kids
- 34:25Speaker 3: are right in the Paw Patrol age. The rest of
- 34:28Speaker 3: ours are a little older now. But just to watch this,
- 34:31Speaker 3: you know, amazing franchise, amazing movie, and to see your song,
- 34:36Speaker 3: it's just really, really fun. You know, it's kind of
- 34:38Speaker 3: like when we did This is the End. Totally different
- 34:41Speaker 3: movie than Paw Patrol, by the way. But yeah, yeah.
- 34:45Speaker 5: All right.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Really sweet.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Really sweet. Any Backstreet Boys surprises on your tour?
- 34:48Speaker 3: You know what? Actually, so I am doing a show
- 34:52Speaker 3: in Orlando and I'm doing a show in Atlanta. I
- 34:55Speaker 3: talked to Howie. I talked to Brian. So if they
- 34:57Speaker 3: are in town, they would love to come up and
- 35:00Speaker 3: maybe surprise the fans. So we'll see. You know, I
- 35:03Speaker 3: know Brian's schedule is a little different because Bailey's on
- 35:06Speaker 3: tour right now with Jonas Brothers. So he's killing it
- 35:10Speaker 3: out there right now. So I think he finishes the
- 35:13Speaker 3: day before I get to Atlanta. So we're trying to
- 35:16Speaker 3: work that out. And then Howie, I don't know where
- 35:18Speaker 3: he's going to be in the world. Cause he's doing
- 35:20Speaker 3: great with his solo right now with his single and
- 35:23Speaker 3: with him flying, he got his pilot's license. So every
- 35:27Speaker 3: other day he's out flying. I told him, I'm not
- 35:30Speaker 3: going with you on a plane. Just so you know,
- 35:32Speaker 3: we're not going to have a, you know, a Leonard
- 35:36Speaker 3: Skinner type or a Zeppelin thing, whatever it was, you know, skinny.
- 35:39Speaker 3: I didn't know.
- 35:39Speaker 1: He could pilot our next round of the world trip.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Maybe who knows?
- 35:42Speaker 3: Oh, absolutely not. No, no, no. All right.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Look, we're up against it, but you're again, your brand
- 35:47Speaker 1: new album coming out on November 27th and it's called sex,
- 35:50Speaker 1: love and music. You're going to be in Montclair tomorrow,
- 35:53Speaker 1: performing Sunday in Huntington. And then November 6th at the
- 35:56Speaker 1: hard rock in AC.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Yes.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Yes. Busy man. AJ.
- 35:59Speaker 3: Thank you guys. Good to see you guys.
