- 0:06Speaker 1: Apoche Production.
- 0:20Speaker 2: All right, quick Monday wrap-up. That was a good weekend
- 0:23Speaker 2: of sport. Let's kick off with the AFL because the Lions, man,
- 0:29Speaker 2: I don't believe I've ever seen a dominant first 10
- 0:32Speaker 2: minutes like that. in sport like that was just unbelievable
- 0:37Speaker 2: the lions just excellent excellent against adelaide so they are
- 0:42Speaker 2: looking the goods and frio surprising everyone they were also
- 0:45Speaker 2: excellent um against geelong so yeah both the um the
- 0:49Speaker 2: top teams rising to the uh to the top there
- 0:52Speaker 2: um in the afl and then in uh in the
- 0:55Speaker 2: footy surprise surprised to see the dolphins beat the warriors
- 0:59Speaker 2: and Dolphins, I think they're the real deal. I think
- 1:03Speaker 2: there's a lot of people really thinking the Dolphins can
- 1:05Speaker 2: win this whole thing. Warriors are certainly not done, but
- 1:10Speaker 2: Dolphins look good. And the Penrith Panthers taking down the
- 1:15Speaker 2: Roosters on Sunday, so that was a good old-fashioned bash-up,
- 1:21Speaker 2: that game. And it was not a huge victory, like
- 1:24Speaker 2: it certainly was in the scheme of the season, but
- 1:28Speaker 2: Roosters still look good, so they'll be back next week
- 1:30Speaker 2: to see if they can do something special. But, yeah,
- 1:33Speaker 2: great weekend of footy.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah, look, I thought it was a good weekend of footy. Yeah,
- 1:40Speaker 1: the games kind of went pretty much the way I
- 1:43Speaker 1: thought they were going to. The Knights just got there
- 1:47Speaker 1: over the Rabbits. Too classy in the end, but the
- 1:51Speaker 1: Warriors and Dolphins game was a bit surprising. But.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Yeah, the Dolphins showed up and really showed everyone that
- 2:05Speaker 1: they're a big threat this year. Cowboys, Sharks. Yeah, look,
- 2:09Speaker 1: I think that went pretty close the way I thought.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I thought the Sharks may have left some points out there,
- 2:16Speaker 1: but they got there in the end. It wasn't a
- 2:20Speaker 1: bad performance by them, really. Very poor, I thought, by
- 2:25Speaker 1: the Cowboys. And then to finish the round off, probably
- 2:29Speaker 1: had one of the games of the year, which doesn't
- 2:32Speaker 1: surprise anyone. But I think the Roosters, yeah, they've done
- 2:39Speaker 1: a good job, but really showed that they do miss
- 2:43Speaker 1: Sam Walker a little bit. But yeah, NRL, I think
- 2:48Speaker 1: it's fair to say that was a pretty good start
- 2:52Speaker 1: to the final series. But then the AFL, I thought, Yeah, geez,
- 2:58Speaker 1: it was good to see the Lions win and win well.
- 3:02Speaker 1: And they're a really massive chance after that game.
- 3:08Speaker 3: First weekend of Rugby League finals done and dusted, starting
- 3:13Speaker 3: on Friday night. South Sydney taking on the Newcastle Knights.
- 3:18Speaker 3: I've got to give credit where credit's due. Calum Ponga
- 3:20Speaker 3: played absolutely fantastic in this game, had his fingerprints all
- 3:25Speaker 3: over it. A couple of really great one-on-one battles as well.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Bradman Best, Jack Whiten, and Latrell Mitchell and Dane Gagai.
- 3:34Speaker 3: The old boy, Dane Gagai, got it up over Latrell.
- 3:39Speaker 3: And Newcastle Knights, they move on. They have to beat
- 3:41Speaker 3: the Warriors, though, over in New Zealand because the Warriors,
- 3:46Speaker 3: they went down to the Dolphins. First ever game of
- 3:51Speaker 3: finals footy for the Dolphins. Victorious. Imagine this, Dolphins fans.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Three finals this year. They win all three. Win their
- 4:01Speaker 3: first premiership in the first ever year that they play
- 4:07Speaker 3: in finals football. Could it happen? Could it? I don't know, but,
- 4:11Speaker 3: you know, dare to dream at the end of the day.
- 4:14Speaker 3: The Roosters and the Panthers. Jeez Louise. I tell you what,
- 4:18Speaker 3: DCE will be going back and practicing. He will not
- 4:21Speaker 3: miss another field goal this final series if he has
- 4:24Speaker 3: a chance and opportunity. Had a chance to take it
- 4:27Speaker 3: to 13 all, and who knows what could have happened
- 4:29Speaker 3: from that point in time. But, yeah, Roosters ended up
- 4:34Speaker 3: chasing their tail a little bit there. Oh, actually, I
- 4:39Speaker 3: forgot about a game. Sharks-Cowboys. Oh, come on, the Cowboys.
- 4:44Speaker 3: They didn't look like they were there. Yeah, pretty disappointed
- 4:52Speaker 3: for the Cowboys and the Cowboys fans out there. But
- 4:55Speaker 3: the Sharks, they go through. And, you know, they've got
- 4:59Speaker 3: a tough task now too. So they've got to play
- 5:02Speaker 3: against the Roosters, which won't be easy. The Roosters will
- 5:07Speaker 3: only be better after playing the Penrith Panthers. But what
- 5:11Speaker 3: a great weekend of rugby league. And from an AFL
- 5:14Speaker 3: point of view, how good was it having Jonathan Brown
- 5:16Speaker 3: on the show last week, an absolute champion of a
- 5:19Speaker 3: human being, absolute superstar in his own right and his
- 5:23Speaker 3: own code. And great to get some insights into AFL.
- 5:28Speaker 3: So Lions back to form and the Dockers back to form.
- 5:34Speaker 3: So Lions take on Hawthorne now and the Dockers have
- 5:37Speaker 3: to beat the Swans. And I think Bruce might be
- 5:41Speaker 3: happy because I reckon we could be seeing a a
- 5:44Speaker 3: grand final of the Dockers maybe versus the Lions would
- 5:49Speaker 3: be absolutely brilliant. So, yeah, we'll see what happens there.
- 5:53Speaker 3: And I can't wait for the show this week, guys. Peace.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Much love.
