- 0:00Speaker 1: The force will be with you always.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome back to another episode up Star Wars
- 0:22Speaker 2: Alights your home on the Geek Ultimate Lights podcast network
- 0:25Speaker 2: for any and all things Star Wars. I'm your host
- 0:30Speaker 2: as always, except for when I feel like crap, like
- 0:36Speaker 2: last week, which the case Adrian does an incredible job
- 0:43Speaker 2: giving me big Clay backup. So thank you Adrian so
- 0:48Speaker 2: much for last week. But joining me as always is
- 0:52Speaker 2: Clay Clay. How are you doing today?
- 0:55Speaker 3: I am doing pretty good. Today went pretty well at work.
- 1:02Speaker 3: I will say there's a lot of things changing at work.
- 1:06Speaker 3: For those of you who don't know, my job has
- 1:12Speaker 3: become extremely harder than it used to be, more so
- 1:18Speaker 3: just because Diamond Distribution UH filed for bankruptcy, and they
- 1:23Speaker 3: were a large part of the comic distribution worldwide, and
- 1:28Speaker 3: with them filing for bankruptcy, UH, they are essentially just
- 1:33Speaker 3: counting their days until they are going out of business.
- 1:36Speaker 3: And so my company, or the company that I work for,
- 1:42Speaker 3: mind you, is picking up a lot of what they
- 1:45Speaker 3: are putting down. So uh, you know, things are a
- 1:49Speaker 3: little crazy. So hopefully soon it'll be crazy in a
- 1:54Speaker 3: good way. But right now it's just a lot of chaos.
- 1:57Speaker 4: So yeah, yeah, kas, I just have a p s
- 2:04Speaker 4: a uh to watch out for your dog's chew toys?
- 2:09Speaker 3: How how bad is it? Though? But I'll probably ask
- 2:12Speaker 3: to see it once the stream is actually like finished.
- 2:16Speaker 3: But I don't need you to show it live.
- 2:19Speaker 2: No, I'm not showing it live. I don't need my
- 2:21Speaker 2: foot out on the interwards.
- 2:22Speaker 3: That I'm gonna say you need people to pay for
- 2:24Speaker 3: that ship.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. So I stepped on one of my dogs
- 2:33Speaker 2: dinosaur chew toys that has like the little bumps on
- 2:35Speaker 2: it and stuff, and uh, it is like probably the
- 2:41Speaker 2: size of a quarter uh on my foot and it's
- 2:47Speaker 2: not that deep, thankfully, but like I bled through sock,
- 2:56Speaker 2: so uh yeah uh so just be careful and pay
- 3:03Speaker 2: attention because I was not, and my foothurts like heck.
- 3:09Speaker 2: So if I randomly just say ow on stream, just
- 3:12Speaker 2: ignore me. Okay, it's been happening all day so and
- 3:18Speaker 2: it's snowed here, Clay. I know it snows all the
- 3:21Speaker 2: time now where you're at, but we had snow a
- 3:25Speaker 2: week and a half ago, and now we have snow
- 3:29Speaker 2: again in South Carolina where we haven't had snow in
- 3:33Speaker 2: two years.
- 3:35Speaker 3: So yeah, yeah, today well this morning. This morning, I
- 3:44Speaker 3: woke up to I know, I shared it with a
- 3:47Speaker 3: friend of mine. Here let me see here. This morning,
- 3:52Speaker 3: I woke up to negative four degrees, but with the
- 4:02Speaker 3: windshill it felt like negative fourteen. Yay, well, I reason
- 4:12Speaker 3: this morning. The reason why I was sharing that with
- 4:15Speaker 3: a friend is because she messaged me and said, hey,
- 4:19Speaker 3: if you're ever wanting to move to Wyoming, it was
- 4:24Speaker 3: six degrees, but with the windshill it was negative twenty nine.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Ye hello, good crazy hell no. Anyways, we had big
- 4:40Speaker 2: news for Star Wars this week. What the fuck?
- 4:43Speaker 3: Yeah? I kind of like it. I like that big
- 4:48Speaker 3: news is happening during the time that we're wanting to
- 4:51Speaker 3: change some things here at Star Wars Alliance in how
- 4:55Speaker 3: we do some things. Because I was a little afraid
- 4:59Speaker 3: of this episode being a little too short. We are
- 5:01Speaker 3: having a discussional piece at the very end of this
- 5:05Speaker 3: trying out something new for the year of twenty twenty five. Yeah,
- 5:08Speaker 3: but I think the topic's gonna be fun because I
- 5:12Speaker 3: think we've already triggered Snell, which is very, very fun.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I will always have fun triggering Snell. So, Travis, if
- 5:21Speaker 3: you're listening to this, I'm sorry, but we'll have to
- 5:25Speaker 3: just wait and see how everything turns up.
- 5:27Speaker 2: He's so pissed off. I said, Blade twenty forty nine
- 5:31Speaker 2: with garbage. Anyways, So that's our I guess main news topic.
- 5:45Speaker 2: We might as well go ahead and dive on into it. Yeah,
- 5:49Speaker 2: Ryan Gosling is going to star in Sean Levy's Star
- 5:56Speaker 2: Wars film. Now. I need to put this up as
- 6:02Speaker 2: a disclaimer. I have not seen much of Gosling's work.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I went through his list, his film list earlier today,
- 6:13Speaker 2: and I have seen Crazy, Stupid, Love, La La Land,
- 6:21Speaker 2: Blade Runner twenty forty nine. Oh, I'm sorry. I've seen five.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I've seen The gray Man, which was not good, and
- 6:30Speaker 2: I've seen Barbie, which obviously who did a great job.
- 6:37Speaker 3: You know now that you actually mention it and let
- 6:39Speaker 3: me actually see how much of Gosling's credits I've actually
- 6:45Speaker 3: seen because okay, so for me, I haven't seen what
- 6:53Speaker 3: was the Netflix one that was really bad that everybody
- 6:55Speaker 3: was like, yes, the gray Man, gray Man. Yet gray Man.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I have not seen out of everything that he has
- 7:04Speaker 3: been in. I've seen Barbie, I have seen La La Land,
- 7:08Speaker 3: I have seen The Notebook, I have seen Driver or sorry.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I have not seen Notebook.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Uh My. One of my really close friends calls it
- 7:20Speaker 3: the the suck Book because it makes her cry so much.
- 7:23Speaker 3: It sucks that she has to cry so much during
- 7:25Speaker 3: that movie. I've seen crazy, stupid love, I've seen remember
- 7:30Speaker 3: the Titans, I have seen seen First Man. I have
- 7:37Speaker 3: not seen First Man. Gosh, maybe I haven't seen a
- 7:42Speaker 3: whole lot of his stuff. That's wild. I thought I
- 7:48Speaker 3: saw a lot more. But he has a very wide
- 7:53Speaker 3: range of things that he has actually been in, in
- 7:58Speaker 3: the sense of like when you compare things like First
- 8:01Speaker 3: Man and The Nice Guys with Russell kraw Right, same
- 8:07Speaker 3: thing if you drive and twenty forty nine are completely
- 8:16Speaker 3: different as well. So I think this is a very
- 8:22Speaker 3: interesting decision. But Katie texted me immediately after. I told
- 8:30Speaker 3: her to look into our gua chat because I know
- 8:34Speaker 3: she's not on Twitter as much anymore. But I said, hey,
- 8:44Speaker 3: take a look at the chat, and you had said, oh, shoot,
- 8:49Speaker 3: where's the text? We have texts more since you've talked
- 8:53Speaker 3: about that. But when was this news?
- 8:56Speaker 2: Actually yesterday?
- 8:59Speaker 3: Was it yesterday?
- 9:01Speaker 4: All right?
- 9:02Speaker 2: I don't know if I responded.
- 9:03Speaker 3: To guess that you said, what the F I can't
- 9:07Speaker 3: picture a role for Gossling at all.
- 9:11Speaker 4: And.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I think because of his roles like the nice guy
- 9:17Speaker 3: and fall guy. I think I was like, what about
- 9:20Speaker 3: a smuggler? What about a pilot? Which I understand can
- 9:27Speaker 3: be very like cliche nowadays for the roles of these
- 9:34Speaker 3: types of actors for Star Wars. But then I was like,
- 9:39Speaker 3: what if? What if lucasfilm ditched Patty Jenkins but still
- 9:49Speaker 3: kept the script and was like, Hey, Sean, we got
- 9:54Speaker 3: a movie for you.
- 9:56Speaker 2: I don't think so. I think wants to lean more
- 10:01Speaker 2: original and he doesn't have the connection to fighter pilots
- 10:08Speaker 2: that Patty does, so I just need to get this
- 10:13Speaker 2: part out of the way. I sent this news to
- 10:15Speaker 2: my mother and my sisters because they know who Gossling is,
- 10:20Speaker 2: and I was like, yeah, so this was the reactions.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I didn't get permission to share this, but they don't
- 10:26Speaker 2: listen to this anyways. I said, I have no idea
- 10:32Speaker 2: what he's going to play coma. I don't like it,
- 10:36Speaker 2: and my mom said, hmm, he could play Luke and
- 10:44Speaker 2: I said, you think so, question Mark and she said, sure,
- 10:49Speaker 2: why not? He's blonde and goofy looking.
- 11:03Speaker 3: I want to share that blonde and goofy looking. Oh
- 11:10Speaker 3: that's amazing. I love it. I love it.
- 11:18Speaker 2: And both of my sisters agreed and said, I feel
- 11:23Speaker 2: like they should stay true to casting nobody's for movies.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Well it's nowadays. That's hard because I feel the same
- 11:32Speaker 3: way when it comes to superhero movies, and technically, you know,
- 11:36Speaker 3: it's it's kind of Star Wars has kind of bled
- 11:39Speaker 3: into that same genre. But as we know, Star Wars
- 11:45Speaker 3: is actually you know, fantasy more, you know, less of
- 11:50Speaker 3: the sci fi, more of the fantasy. Uh. I genuinely
- 11:56Speaker 3: think that if they were to have the balls to
- 12:07Speaker 3: not say who Gosling was playing, and then the first
- 12:14Speaker 3: thing you hear in the movie is somebody call him Luke,
- 12:22Speaker 3: I can almost guarantee people would walk out of that movie.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Are you serious?
- 12:28Speaker 3: I think so. I think so. I don't mind it
- 12:34Speaker 3: because again, Mark Hamill is too old to play the role. Sorry,
- 12:40Speaker 3: he just says, especially if they want to go into
- 12:45Speaker 3: that pocket of time between episodes four.
- 12:49Speaker 2: And six and not use friggin ai exactly replication exactly.
- 12:58Speaker 3: So, but I don't believe it'll be Luke Skywalker.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't either.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I I believe he will be a pilot smuggler of
- 13:10Speaker 3: some kind. I could even go as far as saying
- 13:15Speaker 3: that he is just some random citizen of a random
- 13:19Speaker 3: planet within this galaxy far far away, and he just
- 13:23Speaker 3: falls into trouble in the galaxy.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I can see that it's tough to say what
- 13:34Speaker 2: his role could potentially be when we don't know at
- 13:38Speaker 2: least time frame of this film, Like we don't know
- 13:44Speaker 2: where when it's taking place in the timeline, which brings
- 13:51Speaker 2: me to my next topic. Uh, well, not necessarily topic,
- 13:55Speaker 2: but like part of this discussion. Lucas Film announced three
- 14:01Speaker 2: movies at the last Star Wars celebration. Yes, we were
- 14:07Speaker 2: not given timeframes on those movies, so just.
- 14:12Speaker 3: To confirm, just to confirm, it was the manfol Movie movie.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Then it was the Race Skywalker movie, the Race Skywalker movie,
- 14:25Speaker 3: and then it which.
- 14:26Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I will never remember that director's name.
- 14:29Speaker 3: I was trying. I was trying to not say the
- 14:32Speaker 3: Race Skywalker movie. I was trying to, like before you
- 14:35Speaker 3: said anything else, trying to google her name. But then
- 14:39Speaker 3: it's Dave Filoni's movie as well, right or was it?
- 14:42Speaker 2: Uh?
- 14:43Speaker 3: Mandalorian Grogu. No.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Mandalorian Grogu was announced via the Star Wars dot Com
- 14:50Speaker 2: page like three months later.
- 14:53Speaker 5: All right, y'all, we're gonna hit our first ad break
- 14:55Speaker 5: and we will be right back in three two one.
- 14:59Speaker 3: And then after that. I think it was Levy's movie
- 15:04Speaker 3: that has somewhat I.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Actually think Levee's movie might have been talked about before
- 15:10Speaker 2: Mandalarin and Grot.
- 15:11Speaker 3: You really yeah, even so for Sean's movie to be
- 15:22Speaker 3: essentially fast tracked, yep into this position because I know
- 15:27Speaker 3: that's kind of where you were going. Yeah, how do
- 15:31Speaker 3: you feel about that?
- 15:33Speaker 2: I don't mind it. I when we had heard that
- 15:37Speaker 2: he had been offered a Star Wars movie, we were
- 15:39Speaker 2: very excited. We really enjoy a lot of his material,
- 15:44Speaker 2: and I think Deadpool and Wolverine. Have you seen Deadpool
- 15:48Speaker 2: and Wolverine?
- 15:48Speaker 3: I think you have great Yes.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Okay, Deadpool and Wolverine only increase that for me. Like,
- 15:57Speaker 2: I'm very excited for his movie. I think he's a
- 16:00Speaker 2: very talented director and I can't wait to see what
- 16:04Speaker 2: he'll do with it. So I think he's very popular
- 16:08Speaker 2: right now. Faloney is currently busy. We know Ahsoka season
- 16:14Speaker 2: two is going to come out before his movie comes
- 16:18Speaker 2: to light. With the air of the Empire recreation. That
- 16:23Speaker 2: is basically what we've called it. So to me, it
- 16:30Speaker 2: makes sense, especially when we know Star Wars is trying
- 16:35Speaker 2: to get back into theaters. Mm hmmm, I don't like that.
- 16:42Speaker 2: And okay not now, I've got to figure out what
- 16:44Speaker 2: her name was, because, uh, I gotta give her the
- 16:49Speaker 2: credit that she's due. Yes, crap, I didn't put movie
- 16:53Speaker 2: on the end of that Google, Charmine obeyed SHANOI. I
- 17:08Speaker 2: don't like her movie has been in development. Hell now,
- 17:12Speaker 2: we have heard rumors that potentially Levy's movie could be
- 17:16Speaker 2: taking over, or that Ray will make an appearance in
- 17:21Speaker 2: Levy's movie. One of that was.
- 17:23Speaker 3: That was that was the next rumor I was wanting
- 17:26Speaker 3: to talk about because me and Travis had a small
- 17:29Speaker 3: back and forth about that. Uh so uh. Travis had asked,
- 17:39Speaker 3: does this now mean that Ray still shows up in
- 17:47Speaker 3: Seawan's movie? I believe that this means no, and I
- 17:54Speaker 3: will tell you the unfortunate truth of that. The unfortunate
- 17:58Speaker 3: truth is that Ryan Gosling is a very popular white
- 18:02Speaker 3: male actor that it has gotten the spotlight more so
- 18:08Speaker 3: than Daisy Ridley in the sense of Hollywood. He will
- 18:13Speaker 3: overshadow her in a very large sense.
- 18:18Speaker 2: And now he I will give him credit. I know
- 18:22Speaker 2: that he knows how to play second fiddle because of Barbie. Yes,
- 18:28Speaker 2: that doesn't mean that Star Wars quote fans will accept
- 18:36Speaker 2: him a second fiddle. Yeah, So it is smarter for
- 18:42Speaker 2: Lucasfilm to leave Ray out. If they want to continue
- 18:47Speaker 2: her story, then she needs to be the focus.
- 18:51Speaker 3: And that's the thing I was gonna say. As long
- 18:53Speaker 3: as Lucasfilm stays true to wanting to put her in
- 18:58Speaker 3: the spotlight, wanting to continue her story, and all of
- 19:02Speaker 3: these other things that they've said that they were wanting
- 19:04Speaker 3: to do, as long as that still happens, I am
- 19:10Speaker 3: totally fine with Daisy Ridley not being in Sean's movie.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Yeah. Now I could see like a post credit I
- 19:21Speaker 2: was gonna say, if it was always in the actual movie.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Yeah, if it was always supposed to be like a
- 19:26Speaker 3: cameo to push the movie forward or a tease to
- 19:31Speaker 3: what's to come for Race Skywalker, I'm totally down for
- 19:36Speaker 3: that for sure. But as a main character and focused
- 19:40Speaker 3: on both of them, I definitely don't think it's right
- 19:43Speaker 3: for the movie.
- 19:44Speaker 2: And because Matt and I talked about this, he was like, well,
- 19:48Speaker 2: he could just be like a random cameo kind of thing, like, oh,
- 19:53Speaker 2: he's always wanted to be in a Star Wars movie.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Oh like he just wants like an episode like Jack
- 20:02Speaker 2: Black and Lizzo were in. Basically is what he said.
- 20:06Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, you don't. You don't get news
- 20:12Speaker 2: like this for a cameo.
- 20:15Speaker 3: For a cameo. Yeah, like he is.
- 20:19Speaker 2: The lead of Sean Levy's movie, like, no doubt about it.
- 20:26Speaker 2: And I know we always say it's not true unless
- 20:30Speaker 2: it comes from Star Wars dot com. But this is
- 20:34Speaker 2: the Hollywood reporter, so more reliable than most sources. I So,
- 20:43Speaker 2: would you say that Gosling will now make an appearance
- 20:46Speaker 2: at Star Wars celebration in April?
- 20:53Speaker 3: I think that would be a huge get. Yeah. Now,
- 20:59Speaker 3: mind you, there has been bigger actors at Star Wars celebration,
- 21:10Speaker 3: but I think with how much of an it boy
- 21:15Speaker 3: Ryan Gosling is right now in Hollywood, it would there
- 21:20Speaker 3: would be the biggest pop from the fans and audience
- 21:25Speaker 3: when Gosling jumps up on that stage. So, man, is
- 21:32Speaker 3: it too early? Is it too early to have Goslin
- 21:37Speaker 3: promote something that we don't necessarily entirely know when filming begins.
- 21:46Speaker 2: The rumor is is that filming is going to start
- 21:48Speaker 2: this fall for Levy's movie m Let's see what.
- 21:54Speaker 3: So has there ever been guests at celebration for something
- 22:00Speaker 3: that has not started filming yet?
- 22:02Speaker 2: Daisy Ridley Star Wars Celebration, London.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Okay, yes, I feel like that's I feel like that's
- 22:10Speaker 3: a special case.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Acolytes Amandla was there when the show was announced. Oh really,
- 22:23Speaker 2: she's been getting hate for two fucking years before they
- 22:27Speaker 2: ever went into production.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Uh, okay, okay, yeah, yeah, I would say, I would
- 22:35Speaker 3: say yes. Then I would say yes, there is a
- 22:38Speaker 3: possibility of Gosling being at celebration, which, by the way,
- 22:45Speaker 3: I don't know if you actually were able to sit
- 22:47Speaker 3: down and listen. Adrian is going to celebration.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I did not get a chance to listen, but I
- 22:55Speaker 2: knew that because he had been working on his record Cosplay. Yeah,
- 23:00Speaker 2: and so I had seen that in one of his videos.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Very excited for that, Yeah, very exciting. I told him
- 23:05Speaker 3: that we need to get together afterwards and talk about
- 23:07Speaker 3: his experience and everything else.
- 23:10Speaker 2: So Levy does, I believe the only thing that he
- 23:16Speaker 2: has on his radar right now is finishing Stranger Things.
- 23:24Speaker 6: Okay, Yeah, so it's perfectly reasonable because I think Stranger
- 23:29Speaker 6: Things is actually finished filming and so it's in post
- 23:33Speaker 6: production right now.
- 23:34Speaker 2: I want to say, so it's perfectly reasonable that he
- 23:38Speaker 2: could start filming this fall.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I think that's reasonable. Yeah.
- 23:54Speaker 2: In other news, the Way Seeker synopsis is out.
- 24:02Speaker 3: I did see that. I did not read it, but
- 24:05Speaker 3: if you cared.
- 24:08Speaker 2: I did read it, I will say I don't consider
- 24:14Speaker 2: much of it very important. It does state that at
- 24:17Speaker 2: the time, Uh, basically, Vernestra is a way seeker and
- 24:23Speaker 2: she hasn't been on course not many years, and and
- 24:27Speaker 2: Dara is said to find her and return her back
- 24:29Speaker 2: to course because a senator not mentioned by name requests
- 24:35Speaker 2: Vernestra's help specifically. So that is kind of the plot
- 24:42Speaker 2: that we should expect for The Way Seeker, which I
- 24:48Speaker 2: think we all saw, especially after the first book in
- 24:54Speaker 2: phase three that was the young adult Oh by the
- 25:00Speaker 2: Storm for to fy the Storm, I think we all
- 25:03Speaker 2: saw Ernestra becoming a way Seeker. Yeah, so it makes
- 25:08Speaker 2: a lot of sense.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Now I will say this and other book news next Tuesday.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Oh shit, oh shit. Over at Blue Sky, Charles sol
- 25:27Speaker 3: said Hey guys, Trials of the Jedi cover reveal on Tuesday. Yep,
- 25:31Speaker 3: here's a little tease. And you see at the very
- 25:34Speaker 3: bottom it says Charles Soul number one New York Times
- 25:38Speaker 3: best selling author. And you see a little bit of pink,
- 25:42Speaker 3: a little bit of blues, a little bit bit of purples.
- 25:46Speaker 3: What do you think? What do you think just from
- 25:49Speaker 3: this look? From just from this one look? It is
- 25:54Speaker 3: on that cover.
- 25:56Speaker 2: I love first of all, I love the pink and
- 25:58Speaker 2: blue vibes because it gives me like sunset vibes. I
- 26:03Speaker 2: know I said vibes already, but it's like this is
- 26:07Speaker 2: the end of the High Republic, so we're setting. I
- 26:12Speaker 2: love that, love it, Okay. I gotta bet on LSR
- 26:20Speaker 2: being the little white cape that we see on the
- 26:23Speaker 2: left side. And I gotta see Avar on here somewhere.
- 26:29Speaker 2: They have been a part of so many covers, and
- 26:32Speaker 2: they were on the opening cover for Light of the Jedi,
- 26:38Speaker 2: so I gotta see them. I gotta see them on here.
- 26:41Speaker 3: So zooming in because I actually went into Blue Sky
- 26:46Speaker 3: on my phone and I zoomed in as much as possible.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Do we see Charhound.
- 26:53Speaker 3: I don't know if that is a charhound, or it
- 26:59Speaker 3: might even be Bury with some sort of armor on
- 27:03Speaker 3: his way.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Which we know they've got armor in this phase or
- 27:08Speaker 2: in this wave this face.
- 27:11Speaker 3: So there is some sort of like cape or robe
- 27:16Speaker 3: of some kind in the on the left side. And
- 27:21Speaker 3: I don't know if this is an individual that is
- 27:24Speaker 3: getting like splashed with ocean water or if it's like
- 27:29Speaker 3: supposed to be symbolizing like wind hitting the sand in
- 27:32Speaker 3: between this furry creature. But it's blue, it's darker blue.
- 27:39Speaker 3: I'm trying to think of all the characters that were
- 27:41Speaker 3: blue and or gray. It might be Oh shoot, Florida,
- 27:54Speaker 3: no names, escaping me. You just said it. Uh lsr
- 28:02Speaker 3: and avar. Has I believe a great ish robe in
- 28:11Speaker 3: this face.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Yes she does, but we've also seen the so she
- 28:16Speaker 2: was featured in the concept art with the armor. Yes,
- 28:21Speaker 2: so very curious. I guess we will be talking about
- 28:26Speaker 2: it next week.
- 28:27Speaker 3: I'm gonna be very excited to see it.
- 28:30Speaker 2: I'm so excited. Sorry, there was a bunch of oh
- 28:33Speaker 2: shits at the beginning of that, because and this is
- 28:37Speaker 2: the downsides of getting off social media, right is like
- 28:41Speaker 2: I don't see this stuff.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Well, and uh, a little bit of some good news,
- 28:50Speaker 3: uh for all of you family people with young moms.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Katie and I will have an impromptu view coming your
- 29:00Speaker 3: way in possibly the next few weeks. So just a
- 29:04Speaker 3: little tease at that, but yeah, very very exciting stuff
- 29:10Speaker 3: in the realm of book news for Star Wars.
- 29:14Speaker 2: And with that book news comes comic news because the
- 29:22Speaker 2: Battle of jack Wu series is ending for Marvel Comics.
- 29:27Speaker 2: They had the last issue I think debuted today, I believe.
- 29:36Speaker 2: With that, Alex Sigoura has announced that he is going
- 29:41Speaker 2: to be taking the Star Wars main line and running
- 29:45Speaker 2: with it for grum World. Please, So you didn't even laugh.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Im Sorry, I was, I was. I was reading everything
- 29:57Speaker 3: because I've only I've only like scroll through this when
- 30:01Speaker 3: you when you shared it.
- 30:02Speaker 5: We're gonna go into our second ad break and we'll
- 30:06Speaker 5: be right back.
- 30:08Speaker 2: So he is taking over the Star Wars main run
- 30:12Speaker 2: for post Battle of Jacku. So we have Luke with
- 30:16Speaker 2: his green lightsaber Leah with her hair down, and Han
- 30:22Speaker 2: on the side like ready to go, basically with.
- 30:28Speaker 3: A white jacket from oh yeah, yeah, he's not wearing
- 30:32Speaker 3: his brown jacket at this time. I think it looks good.
- 30:38Speaker 3: I've I've always thought that the comics look good, and
- 30:42Speaker 3: the mainline always looks really well. We will be reviewing
- 30:49Speaker 3: The Battle of Jacku as soon as it comes out
- 30:51Speaker 3: in volume formats. I believe that will be in We
- 30:58Speaker 3: may get.
- 30:59Speaker 2: To it before that because the volume format is not
- 31:03Speaker 2: coming out until June.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Did it really say June Holy County.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got it pre ordered on Amazon.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Hi, Andrew, Andrew is in the Chick. Just wanted to say, Hi. Yeah,
- 31:17Speaker 3: if that's the case, I'm totally down with grabbing hold
- 31:20Speaker 3: of that and reading that.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Yeah. We will let you guys know because we've got
- 31:26Speaker 2: through the end of March plan right now. But April
- 31:30Speaker 2: and May are both busy months, so who knows where
- 31:32Speaker 2: came to it Until the volume format comes out, who knows?
- 31:39Speaker 2: But this is the cover since I should have brought
- 31:46Speaker 2: it up beforehand. Oh come on. So yeah, Leah is
- 31:52Speaker 2: in a nice pink dress and I love this hairdoo
- 31:54Speaker 2: for her.
- 31:55Speaker 3: Uh.
- 31:56Speaker 2: This cover is by Phil Noo, who will also be
- 31:59Speaker 2: doing the main artwork. I believe I can't for some reason,
- 32:07Speaker 2: I can't get out of this page and won't let me. Oh,
- 32:14Speaker 2: it's because I haven't zoomed in. I'm sorry, not all there. Yeah,
- 32:21Speaker 2: Phil Noto is going to be doing uh the art
- 32:25Speaker 2: for the series, which I love Phil's arts. I think
- 32:29Speaker 2: it's been some of the best that I've seen for
- 32:31Speaker 2: Star Wars comics, So that excites me.
- 32:36Speaker 3: So yeah, yeah, very very exciting stuff.
- 32:40Speaker 2: The first issue uh comes out May seven, Okay, and
- 32:49Speaker 2: then uh so, in case anybody was interested in the
- 32:53Speaker 2: summary for the comic, Luke Skywalker must have been the
- 32:56Speaker 2: New Republic from a bloodthirsty gang of mercenaries. Han Solo
- 33:01Speaker 2: investigates a deadly underworld mystery and saves a surprising ally.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Leo or Gotta must grapple with a new alliance opposed
- 33:09Speaker 2: to the goals of the New Republic. So that's where
- 33:14Speaker 2: we're headed.
- 33:16Speaker 3: Very nice. I think it's gonna be very fun. You know.
- 33:23Speaker 3: We do talk a lot about like wanting to get
- 33:27Speaker 3: out of the Skywalker saga and everything else. I have
- 33:32Speaker 3: always enjoyed the Star Wars comics because they have expanded
- 33:40Speaker 3: the universe in so many different ways. And that's the
- 33:44Speaker 3: stuff that I need when it comes to Star Wars
- 33:48Speaker 3: is Hey, don't just do the same song and dance.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Give us new characters, give us new planets, give us
- 33:56Speaker 3: things that we have not seen before in Star Wars,
- 34:00Speaker 3: and that's exactly what.
- 34:00Speaker 2: The stop crossing the same time area with the same
- 34:04Speaker 2: story basically is worth it.
- 34:08Speaker 3: And that's that's why I love these comics because they
- 34:13Speaker 3: will get right up to the point where one of
- 34:16Speaker 3: the movies will start and they're like, Okay, we're done. Cool,
- 34:19Speaker 3: let's take a break, let's do something else, and then boom,
- 34:22Speaker 3: they're going to start another series in between the next
- 34:25Speaker 3: two movies and whatnot. So I really enjoy that because
- 34:30Speaker 3: it's it's like I said, it's not the same song
- 34:32Speaker 3: and dance. We're not regurgitating things or anything else like that. Yeah,
- 34:37Speaker 3: So it's very very unique, very enjoyable. They will continue
- 34:43Speaker 3: to have, of course A and B covers. There was
- 34:48Speaker 3: a cover B that featured the.
- 34:54Speaker 2: The Lens from the Bounty Hunters.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Yes, from the Bounty Hunter's comic. Yes, but I think
- 35:03Speaker 3: that is everything on our list of things to talk
- 35:08Speaker 3: about and now goes to our main discussion. Now, like
- 35:15Speaker 3: I said, this is gonna be something that's a little
- 35:17Speaker 3: newer to us. We're wanting more discussional pieces in our
- 35:24Speaker 3: catalog of our podcast. Yeah, and so I named this
- 35:29Speaker 3: one d I y animated movie. The criteria that I
- 35:34Speaker 3: gave Katie when I created this topic was I needed
- 35:38Speaker 3: an elevator pitch, a director, and a cast.
- 35:43Speaker 2: So for those I'm gonna struggle with, is the cast
- 35:49Speaker 2: because I don't know a lot of voice actors specifically.
- 35:53Speaker 3: So here's here's here's the thing that's gonna save you
- 35:56Speaker 3: right now, Katie, Okay, I didn't do specific voice actors.
- 36:02Speaker 3: I did overall characters. That's still a cast. So if listeners,
- 36:11Speaker 3: if you don't know what an elevator pitch, an elevator
- 36:14Speaker 3: pitch is. Legitimately, you imagine yourself going into an elevator
- 36:21Speaker 3: with Kathleen Kennedy and you only have up until she
- 36:24Speaker 3: needs to leave the elevator to pitch her a movie idea.
- 36:29Speaker 3: That is literally an elevator pitch. So it's supposed to
- 36:32Speaker 3: be quick snappy. So Katie, before I hear your elevator pitch,
- 36:39Speaker 3: well you know what, No, I want to hear your
- 36:42Speaker 3: elevator pitch first before I before I hear the director.
- 36:46Speaker 3: So Katie, what is your elevator pitch?
- 36:49Speaker 2: So I think we have to get out of the way.
- 36:52Speaker 2: I so Matt brought this up. I just have to
- 36:55Speaker 2: before you hear my elevator pitch. Matt brought this up.
- 37:01Speaker 2: I am skipping the vision's aspect where like, oh, I
- 37:06Speaker 2: want to see the ninth Jedi Whull last movie, like
- 37:11Speaker 2: we've already seen the work, like this is somebody new
- 37:15Speaker 2: for Star Wars, and yes, those people would technically be
- 37:17Speaker 2: new to canon Star Wars quote, but we've seen what
- 37:23Speaker 2: they would like to do for Star Wars. So with that,
- 37:31Speaker 2: I am I wanted this originally for like Dawn of
- 37:35Speaker 2: the Jedi aspect, but because we're already getting that with
- 37:39Speaker 2: James Mangold. What I thought about was if we saw
- 37:46Speaker 2: and I'm totally copying this, but the different factions that
- 37:51Speaker 2: we see for the higher public, like the Jedi factions
- 37:54Speaker 2: on Jedda, like exploring all the stories, like going into
- 38:01Speaker 2: like full fledged like battles between them, maybe even but
- 38:05Speaker 2: like conflicts probably more of and like exploring why they
- 38:12Speaker 2: do what they do. And I'm pulling this a little
- 38:15Speaker 2: bit from Star Wars Legends, where Jason goes exploring the
- 38:22Speaker 2: different pathways for Forest users to learn different techniques himself.
- 38:28Speaker 2: That's kind of my inspiration here, but also and this
- 38:32Speaker 2: is my pitch for the director duo. I picked the
- 38:38Speaker 2: Avatar the Last Airbender Creators' Martino and Brian cone Zoko.
- 38:50Speaker 2: I think I love what they do with Avatar and
- 38:53Speaker 2: very excited to see what Avatar or I think it's
- 38:57Speaker 2: Avatar Studio up with for these movies and everything that
- 39:02Speaker 2: they're going off into. We know that there's another Avatar
- 39:07Speaker 2: show coming with Earthbender with an Earthbender Avatar with like
- 39:12Speaker 2: potentially twins and everything. I love the stories that come
- 39:16Speaker 2: out of this, and the books have also been very good.
- 39:20Speaker 2: I don't know if you've read the Avatar books, but
- 39:22Speaker 2: if you haven't, like they.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Have, they have always been lingering on my list. I
- 39:29Speaker 3: haven't had the chance to actually sit down and grab them.
- 39:32Speaker 3: I do believe I have one on my audible. I
- 39:38Speaker 3: don't know which one it is, though, but yeah, they
- 39:44Speaker 3: they have. They're on my radar for sure.
- 39:47Speaker 2: They are great. Now I've only read the Kyoki ones.
- 39:53Speaker 2: I think that's her name. I can't I'm not Kyoshi Kyoshi.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. The Kiyoshi ones have been the only
- 40:00Speaker 2: ones I've read, but they're next on my list to
- 40:04Speaker 2: pick up now that I finished on a Storm.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's the one that I have in my
- 40:10Speaker 3: library currently it is Avatar, The Last Airbender, The Rise
- 40:14Speaker 3: of Kiyoshi.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that one. That one's so good. But yeah,
- 40:19Speaker 2: that's my pitch for a di y animate movie. And
- 40:25Speaker 2: I'm calling this design it yourself because you're not doing
- 40:28Speaker 2: it yourself.
- 40:31Speaker 3: You're designing it yourself. Yeah.
- 40:32Speaker 2: But I think I think the the fact that they've
- 40:37Speaker 2: taken like a different pathway to benders of different elements,
- 40:46Speaker 2: I think that that's something very doable that they could
- 40:49Speaker 2: take from and then use to talk about the Night Sisters,
- 40:57Speaker 2: the Silent Ones that we see at Jeddah, the Guardians
- 41:02Speaker 2: of Jedda, and then the falla Nazi like. I think
- 41:10Speaker 2: that's just something very unique that the general population has
- 41:15Speaker 2: not seen.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Yes, And one thing that I thought about when thinking
- 41:21Speaker 3: about the animated movie that I was going to pitch
- 41:26Speaker 3: is you look at the last you don't even have
- 41:29Speaker 3: to look that far. You look at the last five
- 41:32Speaker 3: years of animated movies hitting theaters. They are not these
- 41:43Speaker 3: very silly, very dumb down movies.
- 41:48Speaker 2: They does it have to be for kids?
- 41:51Speaker 3: Well, but the thing is you don't have to treat
- 41:54Speaker 3: kids like they're dumb. Yep, look at movies like into
- 41:58Speaker 3: the Spider Verse. Look at movies like Wild Robot. Look
- 42:03Speaker 3: at a lot of these films, and they have a
- 42:07Speaker 3: very complex story with feelings and emotion and all of
- 42:12Speaker 3: these different things that are really rewarding when you watch
- 42:19Speaker 3: them and think about them and everything else. That's what
- 42:21Speaker 3: I really thought about when I thought about the h and.
- 42:24Speaker 2: I think that's why Avatar the Last Airbender is so
- 42:27Speaker 2: unique because it was almost the first of its kind
- 42:30Speaker 2: to broach adult like topics and it was in a
- 42:35Speaker 2: kid friendly way.
- 42:36Speaker 3: You look at the relationships between Aang and Katara and
- 42:45Speaker 3: oh shoot, I'm forgetting everybody's name. Oh no, it's been
- 42:49Speaker 3: so long since I've watched Socca and tough. Yeah. You
- 42:54Speaker 3: look at that four friend group right there, and it
- 42:59Speaker 3: is absolutely hilarious and absolutely complex. Yeah, because of everything
- 43:09Speaker 3: that's happening there. And so there are really serious moments.
- 43:15Speaker 3: You know, hey, my girlfriend, my first girlfriend got turned
- 43:19Speaker 3: into the move. Oh rough, you know, It's it's like
- 43:23Speaker 3: there's a lot of sadness in that. But then it's
- 43:27Speaker 3: like that response from Zuko is hilarious. It's like, oh man,
- 43:32Speaker 3: that's rough, Like like there's nothing else you can say
- 43:34Speaker 3: with that. So Yeah, I love that. I love the
- 43:39Speaker 3: director choice. I love the uh, the actual the elevator pitch.
- 43:46Speaker 3: I would have never thought about jumping into the other
- 43:49Speaker 3: pockets of force users. I I feel like people would say,
- 43:57Speaker 3: like this is like not thinking a whole lot of
- 44:00Speaker 3: aout it. But I thought about some of my favorite
- 44:05Speaker 3: animated films recently, and just the stuff that's been playing
- 44:11Speaker 3: at my house a ton with Amberlyn and the one
- 44:15Speaker 3: thing that I find myself watching with Amberlyn once maybe
- 44:21Speaker 3: even twice a week, Leelo and Stitch. Ye, So I
- 44:30Speaker 3: will go ahead and give that he's my director choice.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Director of The Wild Robot, director of Lee, Loo and Stitch,
- 44:37Speaker 3: Chris Sanders. Chris Sanders has done an amazing job with animation,
- 44:43Speaker 3: with story, with something that can be extremely silly but
- 44:50Speaker 3: very complex, full of emotion, and it like some things
- 44:54Speaker 3: that genuinely just are very heartfelt. So I really love
- 44:59Speaker 3: that about him as a director and would love for
- 45:02Speaker 3: him to dip his toes in Star Wars and.
- 45:07Speaker 5: We're about to jump into our third ad, y'all, we
- 45:11Speaker 5: promise we'll be right back, we promise.
- 45:14Speaker 3: With that type of emotion that he provides in his films,
- 45:20Speaker 3: my Elevator Pitch, a child survivor of Order sixty six,
- 45:24Speaker 3: navigating through the galaxy to survive while struggling to trust
- 45:28Speaker 3: in the force. I know a lot of people are
- 45:31Speaker 3: going to roll their eyes at the whole surviving Order
- 45:33Speaker 3: of sixty six. Here's the kicker. It can be a
- 45:38Speaker 3: new survivor. Yeah, sure, whatever, but why not calcastis. Yeah,
- 45:45Speaker 3: we have not seen what happens to cal after the
- 45:51Speaker 3: death of his master in the game. We see or
- 45:57Speaker 3: witness the what happens in the events on the republic ship.
- 46:03Speaker 3: His master sacrifices himself, pushes Calcasus with the force into
- 46:08Speaker 3: an escape pod, and that escape pod launches off and
- 46:12Speaker 3: the next thing you know, he is an adult and
- 46:15Speaker 3: you play the game. There is a long time between
- 46:21Speaker 3: there that you could very much. You can literally start
- 46:25Speaker 3: off because me, as a millennial thirty three year old,
- 46:30Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, how many animated films started with a
- 46:37Speaker 3: huge tragedy that was very traumatic? Hello, you think of
- 46:43Speaker 3: Land Before Time? You can think of things like shoot, uh,
- 46:54Speaker 3: can you think of any I had a whole listen,
- 46:56Speaker 3: now that's just escaping me. But Land Before Time was
- 46:59Speaker 3: one that like being true to me because it's like, oh, literally,
- 47:02Speaker 3: like the death of all the dinosaurs happens at the
- 47:06Speaker 3: very beginning of the film.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Before time movies, yeah, totally.
- 47:11Speaker 3: Yeah, they are super sad and then they have fun
- 47:15Speaker 3: and it's very silly and everything else. And so I
- 47:19Speaker 3: think Chrisanders would have such a blast with that raw emotion,
- 47:27Speaker 3: the feeling of, you know, being stuck in our fight
- 47:33Speaker 3: or flight mode with whoever is the survivor, but then
- 47:37Speaker 3: also like supposedly having to have this overall trust in
- 47:45Speaker 3: the force, but yet you know, or sixty six happens,
- 47:51Speaker 3: So there's a lot of conflict in that, and you
- 47:53Speaker 3: don't know what's happening through a child's mind. I'm thinking,
- 47:57Speaker 3: if you're navigating through the gallicy see, you're gonna meet droid,
- 48:01Speaker 3: You're gonna meet all sorts of creatures on planets, all
- 48:05Speaker 3: sorts of things. I think that movie could be extremely
- 48:09Speaker 3: gorgeous if you can allow Chrisanders to really shine and
- 48:15Speaker 3: to really throw a lot at you like that.
- 48:18Speaker 2: So here's what I'm gonna do. I we didn't talk
- 48:21Speaker 2: about this at all, so this is gonna be on
- 48:23Speaker 2: the fly, but I had in spe and so we're
- 48:26Speaker 2: gonna go with it. I accept your pitch, but I
- 48:31Speaker 2: want to change the main character. Okay, Okay, it's still
- 48:36Speaker 2: gonna be one that we've seen, so it's still another survivor.
- 48:44Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you gro Gu and tell you to
- 48:46Speaker 2: write the story.
- 48:49Speaker 3: See. I went through a lot of names. I went
- 48:53Speaker 3: through a lot of names because Cal was admittedly my
- 48:58Speaker 3: first choice. And then I was like, but what if
- 49:00Speaker 3: what if somebody is listening to the podcast, It's like, oh,
- 49:03Speaker 3: you know, I don't I don't really have a connection
- 49:06Speaker 3: to Cal.
- 49:06Speaker 2: I was like, okay, right, is your main line to
- 49:10Speaker 2: the main audience because he's cute, we have stuffed animals,
- 49:16Speaker 2: like it.
- 49:17Speaker 3: Would I would essentially like the idea of Grogu being
- 49:27Speaker 3: the main character. I think that could very well work.
- 49:33Speaker 3: I genuinely think it would because Grogu at such a
- 49:40Speaker 3: young age. We saw the flashback in Mandalorian that he
- 49:47Speaker 3: is almost helpless, you know, like he is so little,
- 49:52Speaker 3: he is almost helpless. So it would be that Wild
- 49:57Speaker 3: Robot type of scenario. Mind you, I have not seen
- 50:03Speaker 3: Wild Robot. I only know the premise and I've seen
- 50:05Speaker 3: a lot of uh photos and things, But I understand
- 50:12Speaker 3: the premise. But think, think of it this way. You've
- 50:18Speaker 3: seen oh what was uh you've seen Logan, right, yeah, okay,
- 50:26Speaker 3: think of the child version of Logan. Okay, yeah, I
- 50:35Speaker 3: know that sounds crazy, but that's how it was described
- 50:38Speaker 3: to me. And then I had somebody literally break it
- 50:42Speaker 3: down and I was like, holy crap, that is the
- 50:46Speaker 3: child version of Logan. That's so yeah. I wouldn't mind Grogu.
- 50:55Speaker 3: I also wouldn't mind Canaan Jarris. I think, ye, these
- 51:02Speaker 3: three characters. Well, you you do have the Canaan comic,
- 51:09Speaker 3: you do have the Canaan novel, the the one that
- 51:16Speaker 3: we just recently reviewed this past year, uh a new down. Yes, uh,
- 51:25Speaker 3: you have a lot of material. And and that's why
- 51:29Speaker 3: I chose to veer away from Canaan, because I think
- 51:33Speaker 3: there is still, you know, stuff that you can kind
- 51:37Speaker 3: of just weave into, you know, in and out of
- 51:40Speaker 3: the comics era and all of that stuff of his timeline.
- 51:44Speaker 3: And I was like, there's too much there. There's too
- 51:46Speaker 3: much you'll have to step on toes and all that stuff.
- 51:50Speaker 3: So let's not do it. Grogu. As of right now,
- 51:55Speaker 3: we only know what happens immediately after Anakin with the
- 52:04Speaker 3: Clones storms, the Academy. Yeah, like that's all we know,
- 52:12Speaker 3: and then you know, of course, the next thing we
- 52:14Speaker 3: know is you know, the first episode of the Mandalorian.
- 52:18Speaker 3: So I think that could very very well work. And
- 52:25Speaker 3: even your main character not being able to verbally speak
- 52:31Speaker 3: their mind, I think is a very interesting thing also,
- 52:34Speaker 3: so it has to work a lot on facial expressions
- 52:41Speaker 3: and signals and cues. I think would be very interesting
- 52:44Speaker 3: in a animated aspect. Yeah, I think that would be fun.
- 52:49Speaker 2: I think it's something where you can take it and
- 52:52Speaker 2: cover the nineteen year span or the twenty two years
- 52:57Speaker 2: whatever to get to Mandalorian point. I think you can
- 53:02Speaker 2: cover that span and talk about how he escaped, how
- 53:06Speaker 2: he got separated from jar Jar Binks's actors, I'm my
- 53:16Speaker 2: best character, Jedi person, how they got separated, and then
- 53:21Speaker 2: dive into how he got I.
- 53:23Speaker 3: Like, how you can't even say I'm a best character
- 53:26Speaker 3: because he's also in uh clone h Attack of the Clones.
- 53:34Speaker 3: Did you know that?
- 53:37Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 53:37Speaker 3: The bar, Yeah, he's in the bar. So he's in
- 53:40Speaker 3: the bar.
- 53:40Speaker 2: Oh I thought he was on the field for some reason.
- 53:42Speaker 3: No, you you you can see him in the bar
- 53:48Speaker 3: like talking to some some woman. So yeah, but yeah,
- 53:54Speaker 3: I think that would it would be. And and that's
- 53:58Speaker 3: the thing that's a little awkward is how far do
- 54:01Speaker 3: you want to go? Yeah, right with Kylcastis do you
- 54:05Speaker 3: want to actually, excuse me, do you actually want to
- 54:09Speaker 3: cover like a full twelve years or twenty years in
- 54:16Speaker 3: one movie or do you just want to talk about
- 54:19Speaker 3: one little scenario? You know? And that's the best part
- 54:25Speaker 3: of Star Wars is the fact that there is a
- 54:29Speaker 3: story with every little thing and you don't necessarily have
- 54:33Speaker 3: to draw it out so long. I think that what
- 54:37Speaker 3: Star Wars does best is even when you look at
- 54:40Speaker 3: something like Visions, those are individual stories, and as long
- 54:45Speaker 3: as you have that feeling, that classic feeling of like
- 54:48Speaker 3: Star Wars Hope at the end, or even Star Wars
- 54:52Speaker 3: Dread when you're looking at something like the Empire strikes Back,
- 54:56Speaker 3: I think it still works. So even if you were
- 55:00Speaker 3: going to get a story about Canaan Jarris, a story
- 55:03Speaker 3: about Grogu, a story about Calcastus, and do that two
- 55:10Speaker 3: weeks after they escape Order sixty six or something, I
- 55:15Speaker 3: still think it could work. You know, it all depends
- 55:20Speaker 3: on the story at hand.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 55:24Speaker 3: Yeah, but yeah, I think that this was very fun.
- 55:30Speaker 3: It got me to think, like, hey, like, what haven't
- 55:32Speaker 3: we seen? What have we seen? Listeners, If you enjoyed this,
- 55:38Speaker 3: if you have a elevator pitch of your own of
- 55:42Speaker 3: something that you've always wanted to see in Star Wars
- 55:44Speaker 3: and animated, please let us know. Of course, we have
- 55:49Speaker 3: a Star Wars Alliance hotline and Gmail that you can
- 55:55Speaker 3: send a voicemail, a text message, or an email to
- 55:58Speaker 3: of course that, of course being Star Wars Alliance at
- 56:03Speaker 3: gmail dot com. There is no A in Wars, so
- 56:07Speaker 3: please remember that, don't forget it, and the hotline is
- 56:10Speaker 3: a three zero five three eight four eight two eight
- 56:14Speaker 3: to text and or leave a voicemail with us. Please
- 56:20Speaker 3: be on your best behavior with those text messages and voicemails.
- 56:24Speaker 3: I will be listening and or reading them before we
- 56:27Speaker 3: actually show them on air. And leave us some sort
- 56:32Speaker 3: of nickname or handle that we can shut out so
- 56:36Speaker 3: that way people know who you are. But speaking of
- 56:42Speaker 3: handles and everything else, it looks like the GUA is
- 56:47Speaker 3: really considering bouncing from Twitter, which I think a lot
- 56:51Speaker 3: of people should. So you will not really see me
- 56:57Speaker 3: on Twitter currently. We are only using it really for
- 57:02Speaker 3: the show, and even at that I think Katie, you
- 57:06Speaker 3: and I have to discuss about possibly moving that handle
- 57:11Speaker 3: to better platforms, but that can be a bet at
- 57:16Speaker 3: a later date. But yeah, there is that. I will
- 57:22Speaker 3: be on Blue Sky for anything and everything comics if
- 57:26Speaker 3: you'd like to follow me for that kind of thing.
- 57:31Speaker 3: Blue Sky is actually beta testing a TikTok like app
- 57:40Speaker 3: that that they are hosting. Uh So, as soon as
- 57:44Speaker 3: that goes live and out of beta, I will probably
- 57:48Speaker 3: start making videos again and just posting it all on
- 57:51Speaker 3: Blue Sky. And the app that they are beta testing
- 57:54Speaker 3: is going to be called Spotlight, so I will be
- 57:57Speaker 3: joining that as well, so be on the lookout for that. Ye.
- 58:01Speaker 3: And then Ranger Alliance guys, we have finally revamped. Two
- 58:07Speaker 3: episodes are out so far. We are covering Sinai as
- 58:12Speaker 3: well as the new anime show that is called Red Ranger.
- 58:21Speaker 3: Oh shoot, what is it? Becomes an adventurer in a
- 58:23Speaker 3: in a new world, That's what it's called. It's an isakai.
- 58:27Speaker 3: It's very very funny. Me and Joe have already talked
- 58:31Speaker 3: about the first episode, but that first episode will not
- 58:35Speaker 3: be heard from you guys until the first week of March,
- 58:39Speaker 3: unless unless you're on Patreon. Yes, we are setting up
- 58:46Speaker 3: very very in advance and putting episodes out on Patreon.
- 58:51Speaker 3: It helps us with scheduling and things like that. Uh
- 58:55Speaker 3: and me, Jake and Joe are having a lot of
- 58:57Speaker 3: fun with this. So please, if you can and support us,
- 59:02Speaker 3: join our patreon at geek Ultimate Alliance over on Patreon.
- 59:07Speaker 3: A one dollar tier will just get you in the
- 59:11Speaker 3: door to help support us, while five dollars will give
- 59:14Speaker 3: you that exclusive access to all the shows. Yes, Katie,
- 59:19Speaker 3: what about.
- 59:19Speaker 2: You, y'all? You can find me on the most social
- 59:22Speaker 2: media platforms is out Slice of Katie. Remember I'm not
- 59:25Speaker 2: hanging around too too much. I've been on more the
- 59:29Speaker 2: past two days, but that's because on ex Storm dropped,
- 59:33Speaker 2: and honestly, I'm thinking about recording a Patreon episode for
- 59:37Speaker 2: it because I have some thoughts and I know none
- 59:41Speaker 2: of these people, none of y'all that listen, are here
- 59:46Speaker 2: for the romantic content, but you know what, I am.
- 59:50Speaker 3: For the smut.
- 59:52Speaker 2: For the smut there was not okay, wait no, there's lots.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: There's a lot of smun My sister texted me and
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: was like, dang, I can't skip these sex scenes. I'm like,
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: you haven't even gotten to the sex scene yet, but there's.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: A lot of.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: So, yeah, debating, I don't have a lot of time
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: right now. So that's the other thing, which is why
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: you have not heard Patreon exclusive episodes for me, because
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: I am trying to keep my head above water. So
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: I'm not even going to mention Star Wars Lins's handle
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: on the site that shall not be named really anymore
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: because again, yeah, we need to talk about moving it.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: So again, like Clay said, you can shoot us a
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: text or leave us a voice. Smile is eight three
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: zero five three eight for eight to two eight. Just
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: leave us a nickname, something to address you by. It's
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: greatly appreciated. Can also shoot us an email at Star
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Wars Alliance at gmail dot com if you want to
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: see us on or I'm sorry before I say that,
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: there's no ay in the worst, don't forget it. If
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: you want to see us on a specific social media site,
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: you can look us up at that username. That is
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: where you will find us on most social media platforms
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: if we have a username. If we're not there, feel
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: free to shoot his message be like, where the fuck
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: are you? I would like to see you on this platform.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: Let's do it again. I've left most social media platforms.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: I am still using them, but briefly, but obviously, if
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: there's an audience, we want to be there. So with
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: that young I want to wish everyone a great day
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: or night, but I'm tending to get your listening or watching,
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: and we will see o'all next time and force be
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: with you
