- 0:00Speaker 1: The Woody Show.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's another new hour insensitivity training for a politically correct world. Wooding,
- 0:12Speaker 2: Greg Junia, ground Sea Bass, we got Sammy, Hello, Morgans
- 0:19Speaker 2: and more like Vaughn Dumbass, Tyler Bordon mentioned collectively, we
- 0:24Speaker 2: are the Woody Show. Ye phones are open eight seven
- 0:27Speaker 2: seven forty four Wooding Text over to two two nine
- 0:31Speaker 2: eight seven. Some news headlines coming up for you this hour, Gregor,
- 0:36Speaker 2: are you gonna share your unpopular opinion? Have you come
- 0:39Speaker 2: up with the determination on that? Greg's been on the fence.
- 0:43Speaker 3: I've been on the fence, but it does have a
- 0:45Speaker 3: huge caveat which I told you about that we were walking.
- 0:47Speaker 2: We were walking to our cars down the garage after
- 0:50Speaker 2: the show yesterday, and uh, Greg's like, hey, so I
- 0:54Speaker 2: got this unpopular opinion right, and I wanted to talk
- 0:57Speaker 2: to you about before we went on the air with
- 0:59Speaker 2: it because it's you know, it's it's what I've never
- 1:02Speaker 2: heard before. I'll be honest, Really, did you tell you what?
- 1:05Speaker 3: It is? Very nervous, that's why. But to be fair
- 1:09Speaker 3: with Gina as well, I gave you the caveat too.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:12Speaker 2: So now because Morgan's got one, Yeah, I'm dying to
- 1:16Speaker 2: hear Greg, but also Morgan. Morgan is unashamed, right, stay popular.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Greg has shame.
- 1:25Speaker 2: I took a guess about what it was going to be.
- 1:28Speaker 2: But I'm like, there's no way he'd be on the
- 1:30Speaker 2: fence about this one because he was talking about his
- 1:33Speaker 2: mac and cheese thing. Greg. Oh, yeah, like he said,
- 1:37Speaker 2: to break to you, I hate to break it to you,
- 1:40Speaker 2: but the mac and cheese that has the sauce instead
- 1:42Speaker 2: of the powder is superior Byevita, is superior to Craft
- 1:48Speaker 2: with the squeezy.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Backet trillion percent.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I agree with Greg.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Oh my god, the powder stuff, the powder hits harder.
- 1:55Speaker 3: I'll never buy it again.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Shout out Craft because you guys are trashy. But I do,
- 2:00Speaker 2: like I'm kidding, I do like both. I like both
- 2:03Speaker 2: to me. To me, the Craft mac and cheese and
- 2:06Speaker 2: the Velveta style macagee. There are two different things. It's
- 2:08Speaker 2: like comparing New York style pizza to Chicago deep.
- 2:11Speaker 1: And one comes to shells and one comes to elbow macar.
- 2:13Speaker 2: And one is like I feel, I feel like there
- 2:16Speaker 2: are those are two different things. It's like all easy
- 2:19Speaker 2: mac is different than the stuff that you make where
- 2:21Speaker 2: you boil the noodles and.
- 2:24Speaker 5: Chef.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Yeah, if we did both, what do you mean?
- 2:28Speaker 3: Yeah, the last few times I had the powder, I
- 2:32Speaker 3: thought maybe my taste buds broke because it would tasted
- 2:35Speaker 3: like plain pasta.
- 2:37Speaker 6: It was.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll die on that hill though, And so.
- 2:43Speaker 2: That that's, uh, maybe an unpopular opinion with people like
- 2:46Speaker 2: Menace Sammy.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Right, but that I can live with. But the thing is,
- 2:52Speaker 3: the caveat is unless you work in a big city
- 2:56Speaker 3: where you have skyscrapers or you're out in the wilderness,
- 3:00Speaker 3: those got the exemption. But otherwise, if you're a small
- 3:03Speaker 3: town fireman and people are like, oh, you're a hero
- 3:06Speaker 3: and your your job is so dangerous, I kind of
- 3:09Speaker 3: I don't agree with that because here's why. If you
- 3:14Speaker 3: if you if you roll up to a house fire,
- 3:16Speaker 3: right and it's just a town, it's not a skyscraper,
- 3:19Speaker 3: it's just a town. You jump out of the truck,
- 3:21Speaker 3: you get your hose, you aim the hose at the
- 3:23Speaker 3: fire on the house, and you're standing there with the hose. Awesome.
- 3:28Speaker 3: The other day I had an issue with my sprinkler system.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I had to add some context for Greg.
- 3:34Speaker 3: But God, which you swayed me on, that would be
- 3:36Speaker 3: But the other day I was having an issue with
- 3:38Speaker 3: my sprinkler system and in my backyard there's this steep hill,
- 3:41Speaker 3: so I had to use the hose to water some
- 3:43Speaker 3: of the plants. And I'm standing there with my hose
- 3:46Speaker 3: getting to the top of the hill.
- 3:47Speaker 2: And that's what I thought. I thought, I'm a fireman
- 3:51Speaker 2: right now. That's what firemen do. The like they go
- 3:55Speaker 2: into the structure, they fight the fire, they pull people out.
- 3:58Speaker 2: There's firefighters. This is some of the stuff I told Greg.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, it's mega dangerous fires. They wouldn't even
- 4:04Speaker 2: need to they wouldn't even need to get like their
- 4:06Speaker 2: gear on if it was just stand one hundred and
- 4:10Speaker 2: that hose. That's valid. They go up on the roof,
- 4:12Speaker 2: they cut to vent the roof collapse. Like, that's how
- 4:16Speaker 2: a lot of these guys end up dying smoking. Do
- 4:18Speaker 2: you think that comes from from standing there with a
- 4:20Speaker 2: hose and squirting it towards the fire.
- 4:22Speaker 3: I watched I watched Rescue Me Woody. That was about
- 4:26Speaker 3: firefighters and they would fall through ceilings and roofs, and
- 4:30Speaker 3: so what.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Do you think about that is very scary? I agree,
- 4:33Speaker 2: But that's that's show what I'm saying in real life,
- 4:35Speaker 2: like they do that of course because the buildings are bigger,
- 4:40Speaker 2: but they get up the roof, they vent the roof.
- 4:43Speaker 7: I'm on your side, Woody. I'm just saying, like a
- 4:45Speaker 7: fire is the fire to me. But I'm asking Greg
- 4:48Speaker 7: just because the buildings are bigger, they're more of a hero.
- 4:51Speaker 8: Well, yes, I get where Greg's coming from, because if.
- 4:54Speaker 3: You're going into a skyscraper and you're on the forty
- 4:56Speaker 3: second floor, obviously that's more dangerous than standing on a
- 4:59Speaker 3: sidewalk with the hose goingh well, and I.
- 5:01Speaker 6: Think that's the that's the distinction. You're thinking one goes
- 5:04Speaker 6: in and one stays.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Out right and going in obviously you just walk near
- 5:08Speaker 3: a campfire and you feel the heat, so obviously going
- 5:11Speaker 3: into a fire scary af But if you're going on one.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Of those yeah, what I think the oxygen tanks and
- 5:16Speaker 2: the masks and all that stuff feet away, I totally get.
- 5:22Speaker 7: If you go in, okay, thank you, Okay, falls on
- 5:27Speaker 7: firefighters never go on.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Maybe they do, but if you and sometimes they get
- 5:31Speaker 3: on those uh what do you call it? A cherry picker,
- 5:33Speaker 3: like those ladders with the basket and then they go
- 5:35Speaker 3: up and then they go do the hose from there. Okay.
- 5:39Speaker 3: When I watered my law on the other day, I
- 5:42Speaker 3: was a firefighter.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Wait, let me see if I have using gregsone logic
- 5:47Speaker 2: and things that he is actually said, and it's a
- 5:49Speaker 2: bit scattered.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I agree.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Okay, So firefighter not brave and heroic. You're overlooking who
- 6:00Speaker 2: person who poops at work.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Like a Navy seal?
- 6:05Speaker 2: Yeah okay, yeah, firefighter not braver heroic.
- 6:11Speaker 6: You're totally twisting somebody who eats a diner alone.
- 6:15Speaker 2: No, somebody somebody who comes to rescue Greg from a
- 6:20Speaker 2: bug or butterfly?
- 6:21Speaker 3: My hero?
- 6:22Speaker 2: Hero?
- 6:23Speaker 8: Did you call the f.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I did? Well? I know no, I did, not heroes
- 6:32Speaker 3: and that they would have been yes, okay, because they're
- 6:34Speaker 3: entering the danger and and you're overlooking my caveats. If
- 6:39Speaker 3: you go in, of course, that's dangerous. Just you could
- 6:42Speaker 3: burn yourself on a stove like Gina's done eight thousands.
- 6:45Speaker 1: My god, I'm like zebra.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Dangerous. Ovens are dangerous, fires are dangerous, of course, But
- 6:50Speaker 3: when you're standing one hundred feet away and aiming a
- 6:52Speaker 3: hose at it, all right?
- 6:53Speaker 6: Cool?
- 6:53Speaker 3: Like, hey, honey, I risked my life today.
- 6:57Speaker 7: Would more fire preparation and like even these modern buildings
- 7:03Speaker 7: that the skyscrapers have, like all these systems in place
- 7:08Speaker 7: to help fight fires. That would help the firefighter versus
- 7:11Speaker 7: somebody in a small town.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Greg, here we go, come do a right along with us, Greg.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that would be very cool.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I've always wanted to Greg.
- 7:19Speaker 9: I would like to say, you understand that firefighters when
- 7:22Speaker 9: they go on the scene of a fire are working
- 7:24Speaker 9: as a team. Correct, So like it's this guy's job
- 7:27Speaker 9: who's standing on the cherry pictor to do that job
- 7:30Speaker 9: to help protect the other ones who are going in.
- 7:31Speaker 9: Like they're all working together, So everyone's job is equally
- 7:35Speaker 9: as important when they're on the scene.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Yes, I understand that, But you're not as much of
- 7:40Speaker 3: the hero.
- 7:41Speaker 6: Well you're basically I mean this is kind of basic
- 7:44Speaker 6: like math, Like closer you are to a fire, scarier
- 7:47Speaker 6: it is if you are standing on the other side
- 7:49Speaker 6: of the street, not as scary, right.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Well, that's that's that's that's Greg's unpopular opinion. Very he
- 7:55Speaker 2: was he was wrestling.
- 7:57Speaker 5: You kind of get it, But I think that you
- 7:59Speaker 5: were so nervous so you even bring this up that
- 8:01Speaker 5: I thought it was gonna be like ten times.
- 8:04Speaker 2: What did you think it was gonna be?
- 8:05Speaker 8: Oh god, I don't I thought it was gonna be
- 8:06Speaker 8: a boss.
- 8:07Speaker 7: Well, I think there's more of a hot take, and
- 8:09Speaker 7: you brought it up before. I don't want I don't
- 8:11Speaker 7: know if you want to bring it up again. But
- 8:12Speaker 7: your whole thing on AIDS was way hotter. This is
- 8:17Speaker 7: years ago. This is like, this is what this is
- 8:19Speaker 7: hot this.
- 8:21Speaker 8: Eighties.
- 8:22Speaker 2: That was odd than this was Drake's. We did an
- 8:26Speaker 2: unpopular segment like two thousand and seven. Yeah, I'm not
- 8:29Speaker 2: even kidding. It was probably like two thousand and six,
- 8:31Speaker 2: two thousand and seven, and you never forgot.
- 8:33Speaker 3: It was very, very very simple and easy to remember.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Now, keep in mind we also were doing the show.
- 8:39Speaker 2: We were we were based in San Francisco.
- 8:41Speaker 4: This was I would say, but it's no unpopular.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I think today it's not even a hot take. It's
- 8:48Speaker 3: just a logical take. The A in AIDS stands for acquired,
- 8:53Speaker 3: So don't acquire it. There's way acquire it.
- 8:58Speaker 8: I mean, it makes sense.
- 8:59Speaker 1: You kind of can't argue simple, simple, but just simple.
- 9:02Speaker 3: You can't. It stands for acquired, don't acquire it. There
- 9:05Speaker 3: are ways to not acquire it.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Yeah, like, don't get cancer.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Remember back in the that's totally different, that's totally there
- 9:13Speaker 3: was cancer. Yeah, if it was exactly remember and you
- 9:18Speaker 3: mentioned two thousand and seven San Francisco they had these
- 9:20Speaker 3: things called bug chaser part.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's I've heard about that.
- 9:24Speaker 3: So that's when one crazy has HIV and the rest
- 9:28Speaker 3: of the group doesn't know which one and they all
- 9:30Speaker 3: have sex with each other because it's kind of like
- 9:32Speaker 3: Russian roulette. Yeah, and then you're supposed to cry if
- 9:35Speaker 3: you get ill. Sorry, you're not going.
- 9:38Speaker 1: To do it.
- 9:38Speaker 6: And this is long before the days of like prep
- 9:41Speaker 6: and you know, like medicine you could take.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Right and you're actively going out thinking.
- 9:45Speaker 6: For me to believe that, I remember we did a
- 9:48Speaker 6: story about that news.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I understand crazy people are weird, but like, what in
- 9:54Speaker 2: any kind of numbers or is this just like one
- 9:57Speaker 2: group of psychos, like the people that followed that guy
- 10:00Speaker 2: thinking the spaceship was coming themselves. Yeah, it's not a
- 10:05Speaker 2: thing like it's one group of dumbasses.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Sure, But I mean if if one person did it,
- 10:11Speaker 3: that's one too many.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I don't think that Greg could ever lift the hose
- 10:14Speaker 2: or the handle or handle the water pressure.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Oh yeah, true, I can barely lift anything.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Yeah, gregam all for the police hate because they're hypocrites.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Greg is like any first responders.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Yeah, responders.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yeah. Gregm for the police aite because they're hypocrites. But
- 10:30Speaker 2: firefighters is too far, dude, Greg just has to be
- 10:33Speaker 2: the dumbest thing you've ever said.
- 10:34Speaker 8: That's where do you draw a line there?
- 10:36Speaker 2: That's right, and nobody's hearing the caveat.
- 10:39Speaker 6: But that's how you know that this that you made
- 10:41Speaker 6: a good take because it's controversial.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Some agree, some.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Diss, but everybody's taking it all or nothing. All firefighters
- 10:47Speaker 3: not brave. That's not what I'm saying.
- 10:50Speaker 8: Outside the house in a small town.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Greg. My son is a firefighter, and I think you're
- 10:54Speaker 2: just talking to get people fired up.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what he does.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Firefighters have all my respect. I helped. No one comes
- 11:00Speaker 2: to help you when a butterfly touches your face.
- 11:06Speaker 3: And it won't matter. I'll be gone.
- 11:08Speaker 2: You hate fire That is.
- 11:11Speaker 8: A good point, though.
- 11:11Speaker 5: The hose you were holding in your yard is not
- 11:13Speaker 5: the big strong hose that they use take ten dudes
- 11:16Speaker 5: to hold that.
- 11:17Speaker 2: I live in a small town with a volunteer fire department,
- 11:19Speaker 2: We basically call them the pad coolers because they show
- 11:23Speaker 2: up to cool off the pad after the house is
- 11:25Speaker 2: burned down. Pad cooler, Yeah.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Like the like the so once it's out, and then
- 11:29Speaker 3: get all the embers and the hot spots. Right. I
- 11:32Speaker 3: think I could do that if I help lifting the
- 11:34Speaker 3: hose a volunteer. Right, be three of us holding the hose.
- 11:39Speaker 6: Chili, slide down a pole, right, hang out with a
- 11:41Speaker 6: bunch of dudes, Lucky.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Slide down the handle hoses. That sounds like Greg's dream.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I won't be there for the calendar shoot, you know?
- 11:54Speaker 1: Yes, Oh my god, the best.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Wood.
- 12:00Speaker 7: He should.
- 12:03Speaker 2: So Greg was teetering.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I was scared.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you want to know, man, I guess this unpopular opinion.
- 12:12Speaker 2: I just don't know if, like, am I all alone
- 12:14Speaker 2: on this one? I even share this one? But he did,
- 12:17Speaker 2: Yeah he is. Firefighters don't overlook And if you're just
- 12:25Speaker 2: tuning in you just heard what Judas said, go back
- 12:27Speaker 2: on the podcast. You know you'll you'll get the thing anyway.
- 12:31Speaker 2: The other person had an unpopular opinion was Morgan's. Yes,
- 12:33Speaker 2: but I mean you know what I mean, Greg broke
- 12:36Speaker 2: the ice in a pretty great way. If you've got
- 12:37Speaker 2: to share an unpopular opinion, you might as well have
- 12:39Speaker 2: Greg with his.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Yeah, you're welcome the way you're welcome.
- 12:43Speaker 2: It's a nice wide past.
- 12:45Speaker 8: Thank you, Greg.
- 12:46Speaker 5: So we should kill all of these people? Oh, I'm
- 12:49Speaker 5: just kidding. Mine is this goes back to Tyre Banks.
- 12:54Speaker 5: We all know tire Banks right from that show America's
- 12:57Speaker 5: Next Top Model unpopular opinion in the room. I love
- 13:00Speaker 5: that new documentary about it. I thought it was super interesting.
- 13:03Speaker 5: But my hot take is, I don't think Tyra Banks
- 13:06Speaker 5: is a bad person. I think she was doing the
- 13:08Speaker 5: best she could with what she had. I think she
- 13:11Speaker 5: did a good job for most of those girls. I
- 13:13Speaker 5: don't think we should hate her. I think all the
- 13:14Speaker 5: internet hate of like, oh, she never apologizes, she's narcissistic.
- 13:18Speaker 8: No, she's not. She apologized at least once in the documentary.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Yeah, she apologized once.
- 13:24Speaker 8: And you guys don't like her apology, that's not her problem.
- 13:27Speaker 7: I don't think I disagree with you at all on
- 13:30Speaker 7: any of that. I just think like she was trying
- 13:32Speaker 7: to make a good.
- 13:32Speaker 5: Show right and from her background is like one of
- 13:35Speaker 5: the first black, you know, not super tiny models who
- 13:39Speaker 5: was treated the way she was treated. I think her
- 13:41Speaker 5: intentions were good. I think there were some times she
- 13:43Speaker 5: didn't make the best decision, but we're human. And then
- 13:47Speaker 5: looking back, she made one of the most popular reality
- 13:49Speaker 5: shows of all time.
- 13:50Speaker 6: Well, you know who totally agrees with you, which if
- 13:53Speaker 6: anyone's gonna take this take, we have to listen to
- 13:55Speaker 6: her is the Cycle one winner Adrian Curry, who got
- 13:59Speaker 6: Crazy Easy screwed by Tyrone. She's like, why are people
- 14:02Speaker 6: making her apologize if she doesn't want to apologize, get
- 14:05Speaker 6: over it?
- 14:05Speaker 2: So let's somebody know so much about this? I like,
- 14:07Speaker 2: I know who Tyra Banks is documentary on Netflix for
- 14:12Speaker 2: a week, but even just.
- 14:14Speaker 8: Back in the day before everything got super PC, like,
- 14:17Speaker 8: what did she do wrong?
- 14:19Speaker 7: Well, here's the thing. This is where people are going
- 14:22Speaker 7: to have the argument, and this is where I kind
- 14:23Speaker 7: of have like a gray area with it. It's a
- 14:26Speaker 7: lot of people that like desperately want opportunity that come
- 14:31Speaker 7: from absolutely nothing, and then so they're willing to do anything,
- 14:35Speaker 7: and the producers of the show know that, and then
- 14:38Speaker 7: so they put them so they exploit them and put
- 14:40Speaker 7: them in those situations.
- 14:42Speaker 4: And but at the end of the day, even though.
- 14:44Speaker 7: You are extremely vulnerable and you you come from nothing,
- 14:48Speaker 7: you have nothing, you still have the final decision to
- 14:52Speaker 7: do something or not.
- 14:53Speaker 8: You chose to go on.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Yeah, so that's why I have the gray area right.
- 14:58Speaker 9: And to MENACE's point, Tyra, there was no rhyme or reason.
- 15:01Speaker 9: There was one girl who was in it who had
- 15:03Speaker 9: gap teeth, and she made her close it and they
- 15:05Speaker 9: fixed her teeth and was like, you know, your teeth
- 15:07Speaker 9: suck and you need to do this, and she didn't
- 15:09Speaker 9: want to do it, and now she's stuck with the
- 15:11Speaker 9: new teeth that Tyre gave her. And the very next
- 15:13Speaker 9: season a girl who had gap teeth. They were like,
- 15:15Speaker 9: oh my gosh, it's so beautiful. We love the gap
- 15:17Speaker 9: in your teeth.
- 15:18Speaker 2: You know what this is like to me? I don't
- 15:19Speaker 2: know if you agree with this. Have you ever been
- 15:22Speaker 2: the one friend hanging out with a group of people
- 15:25Speaker 2: but they're all that's like a different friend group. You're
- 15:28Speaker 2: kind of like the outside and they're having a conversation
- 15:30Speaker 2: about people and things, maybe situations. They're all very much you.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Know, take it, yeah, take away, But.
- 15:36Speaker 2: You're sitting there like with your beer going yeah, but.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Take away, like Tyra Banks, take away everything.
- 15:41Speaker 7: Take away, like what the show name is or anything, right,
- 15:45Speaker 7: It's just this this situation I had, like people have
- 15:49Speaker 7: again come from nothing, they have opportunity to be on
- 15:52Speaker 7: a television show.
- 15:53Speaker 8: And now you have trauma. Like get over.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Anybody else with a hot takes. I have unpopular opinion,
- 15:59Speaker 2: I have.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Two and you know what it is? What it is?
- 16:02Speaker 6: Sorry, you know, be mad at somebody else. I am
- 16:04Speaker 6: so sick of people calling themselves like, like, what do
- 16:07Speaker 6: you do for a living? I'm an entrepreneur. If you
- 16:09Speaker 6: call your it doesn't have the cachet that you think
- 16:11Speaker 6: it does or that it once did. You call yourself
- 16:14Speaker 6: an entrepreneur as your career. To me, you sound like
- 16:17Speaker 6: just like an unemployed dreamer with a website. Like you're
- 16:22Speaker 6: just like one day, yeah, one day I'm going to
- 16:25Speaker 6: beat like you're an entrepreneur.
- 16:26Speaker 1: What exactly does that mean?
- 16:28Speaker 8: Exactly?
- 16:29Speaker 6: I'm so sick you're labeling themselves influencer and entrepreneur.
- 16:34Speaker 2: You're absolutely right, yeah, like you like you can easily
- 16:36Speaker 2: just say like if you're going to say you're an entrepreneur,
- 16:38Speaker 2: just say you're in sales. Say you're I'm a businessman or.
- 16:42Speaker 6: Exactly business business man.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Yeah, like like what okay, so what do you do?
- 16:46Speaker 2: Like what you're You're an entrepreneur. You you started a business.
- 16:48Speaker 2: What is your business? What do you do? What? What?
- 16:51Speaker 2: What segment of industry are you representing with your business?
- 16:54Speaker 1: Exactly?
- 16:55Speaker 6: And that's kind of also a word that other people
- 16:57Speaker 6: call you, like, Oh, I do this, I do this. Oh,
- 16:59Speaker 6: so you're not entrepreneur, You're not like, well, I am
- 17:01Speaker 6: an entrepreneur. I just think you sound like a jackass. Okay,
- 17:05Speaker 6: my other one is and I feel like we're I
- 17:07Speaker 6: was gonna say we're all on the same page with this,
- 17:09Speaker 6: but I might be wrong. It is one hundred percent
- 17:13Speaker 6: the fault of Gen X and millennials that kids are
- 17:18Speaker 6: soft and lazy and weak, because we're always blaming the kids.
- 17:21Speaker 6: We're always like, oh, they're participation trophies. They don't give
- 17:24Speaker 6: themselves participation trophies.
- 17:26Speaker 2: That's true.
- 17:27Speaker 6: The parents are like, they need a trophy to participate.
- 17:29Speaker 6: Why do we blame them? We did this, we created this,
- 17:33Speaker 6: and we never take responsibility for it.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I agree. I mean, because it was boomer parents that
- 17:37Speaker 2: were responsible for the rough and tumble generation acts.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Thank you, and then what did you do right? You
- 17:44Speaker 1: turned around and handed them a trophy.
- 17:47Speaker 2: A bunch of gen bragging about how you know, we
- 17:49Speaker 2: drank out of hoses and didn't care parents didn't know
- 17:52Speaker 2: where we were, which is which is all true. But
- 17:54Speaker 2: you're right, like because people will sometimes and I think
- 17:58Speaker 2: because you know of the way how people are so overprotective,
- 18:02Speaker 2: Like I'm way more lax. I'm not like anything goes
- 18:06Speaker 2: how some of my friend's parents work. Your kids are
- 18:09Speaker 2: not feral, But I'm also not how like my mom
- 18:12Speaker 2: and my stepdad were. I'm somewhere in between. Yeah, Like
- 18:15Speaker 2: I'm not freaking out about you know, music or movies
- 18:18Speaker 2: or language or certain things like like it's all about
- 18:22Speaker 2: you know, uh time place.
- 18:24Speaker 6: I'm not marching to the school to defend my kid
- 18:26Speaker 6: of the school calls.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Yeah exactly, right, like I'm telling the school like, hey,
- 18:30Speaker 2: go ahead and beat them if you need to, Like yeah, absolutely,
- 18:33Speaker 2: Like I'm for that kind of stuff. But you're right, Like,
- 18:36Speaker 2: how is that doing them?
- 18:37Speaker 3: It reminds me of that saying the road to hell
- 18:39Speaker 3: is paved with good intentions. So they probably had good
- 18:43Speaker 3: intentions like oh, let's give participation trophies and then we
- 18:45Speaker 3: blame them for being soft is yeah.
- 18:47Speaker 6: Exactly And that's it's fine if you want a little
- 18:50Speaker 6: souvenir to show you participated whatever. But we make it
- 18:53Speaker 6: this big thing, and then they make it this big thing.
- 18:55Speaker 3: And along those lines, I know we talked about this
- 18:57Speaker 3: many years ago, but I can't remember who said it first,
- 19:00Speaker 3: But women and parents should stop telling their daughters you
- 19:04Speaker 3: can be anything you want to be, like the president,
- 19:06Speaker 3: because they never thought that they couldn't.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I am so with that.
- 19:10Speaker 3: In their head that they can and they thought, wait
- 19:12Speaker 3: a minute before, I couldn't. Why couldn't I even stop
- 19:17Speaker 3: telling them that.
- 19:18Speaker 5: Our kids because I was told that as a kid, right,
- 19:20Speaker 5: and I feel lucky. I don't think I was smart
- 19:22Speaker 5: enough to do the whole reverse psychology of like, well, wait,
- 19:24Speaker 5: if she's saying that, then that means I actually can't
- 19:26Speaker 5: do it.
- 19:27Speaker 6: Well if they said, Morgie, you can do anything you want, totally,
- 19:30Speaker 6: but Morgan.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Just because you're a girl, don't let that stop you
- 19:33Speaker 1: from doing.
- 19:35Speaker 8: As a girl.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Yeah, why maybe I can't.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Yeah, why where is it starting?
- 19:41Speaker 8: Very condescending?
- 19:42Speaker 1: Yeah exactly.
- 19:43Speaker 5: Okay, I just thought of another unpopular opinion. If you
- 19:46Speaker 5: give your baby an iPad, you're a bad parent.
- 19:50Speaker 7: I think a lot of parents are starting to realize,
- 19:53Speaker 7: like that's not a good thing.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Sorry, I was looking this up because I heard this recently.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I'm like, wow, it's really good. They kind of explained
- 20:00Speaker 2: the generations, right, so starting with uh, you know like Boomers,
- 20:07Speaker 2: gen X, Millennials, gen Z, gen Alpha. Right, So hard
- 20:13Speaker 2: times create strong men, right, So that's that's the Boomers.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Yep, the greatest generation.
- 20:19Speaker 2: No no, no, no, no, yeah, the greatest generation who created
- 20:23Speaker 2: the Boomers. Hard times created strong men, right, So the
- 20:27Speaker 2: Boomers strong men create good times. So like our parents
- 20:32Speaker 2: created gen X, which was good times nineties like that,
- 20:35Speaker 2: like it was good times. It was like it's like
- 20:39Speaker 2: that's the one thing you can talk X are about,
- 20:41Speaker 2: Like you had to be there, like it was, it was,
- 20:43Speaker 2: it was great times. Yeah, So hard times create strong men.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Strong men create good times, good times, gen X create
- 20:52Speaker 2: weak men, which is millennials. Weak men create hard times.
- 21:01Speaker 2: And then and then it starts all over again. Right,
- 21:04Speaker 2: So by that thinking, so gen X, we created these
- 21:08Speaker 2: millennial pussies, right, Millennial pussies creates gen Z, which that
- 21:13Speaker 2: that's gonna be the hard time, the hard times. And
- 21:16Speaker 2: there's a bunch of different reasons for that, right, like
- 21:19Speaker 2: different things. You know, life is changing, whether it's a
- 21:22Speaker 2: I or you know whatever, there's a lot there's a
- 21:24Speaker 2: lot of things, right, and then those hard times, well
- 21:29Speaker 2: then breed strong men. So by that logic, my daughter
- 21:33Speaker 2: who's gen z, her kids are going to be awesome,
- 21:37Speaker 2: her kids are her kids are going to be strong
- 21:43Speaker 2: strong men. Yeah. Yeah, hard times create strong men. Strong
- 21:48Speaker 2: men create good times. Good times create weak men, and
- 21:51Speaker 2: weak men create hard times.
- 21:53Speaker 3: And then it starts over right.
- 21:56Speaker 1: That's a thinker.
- 22:05Speaker 2: So there's there's something I saw in the news, and
- 22:11Speaker 2: if I have to contribute an unpopular opinion, I guess this. This,
- 22:14Speaker 2: this will be mine. Transgender people living in Kansas have
- 22:18Speaker 2: been ordered to hand back their driver's licenses if they
- 22:21Speaker 2: do not reflect their assigned sex at birth under a
- 22:25Speaker 2: new law. I'm totally okay with that. What's the point
- 22:28Speaker 2: of an I D. You know, like you have to
- 22:31Speaker 2: verify like Greg and I were talking about, you know,
- 22:33Speaker 2: Greg was bringing up the real I D thing and
- 22:35Speaker 2: all this stuff. You got to bring in.
- 22:37Speaker 3: All of this proof to show who you are.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and there was, uh, there was one thing they
- 22:44Speaker 2: had my my name wrong on on the is you
- 22:47Speaker 2: know e r E y E R this whole thing.
- 22:49Speaker 2: And I'm like, you know, like what what, like what
- 22:52Speaker 2: are we doing here? Like I can just I can
- 22:53Speaker 2: come in here and just completely get a license with
- 22:55Speaker 2: almost no documentation, But here's this, and like you can't
- 22:59Speaker 2: just and chief finally you can't put two together get
- 23:02Speaker 2: it and you did it. But like, if you can
- 23:04Speaker 2: just put whatever you want on the official state issued,
- 23:08Speaker 2: well government issued, then what does it mean? What does
- 23:11Speaker 2: it mean? I might as well get rid of Do
- 23:13Speaker 2: you remember that you used to be able to go
- 23:14Speaker 2: to Spencer's and get to make love and driver's license? Yeah,
- 23:19Speaker 2: you might as well just be able to go and
- 23:21Speaker 2: just it doesn't even matter, Like what's the point of
- 23:22Speaker 2: even having one or showing one? If you can just
- 23:24Speaker 2: put whatever you want on there, you can live your life.
- 23:26Speaker 2: And let me, let me preface I should have prefaced early.
- 23:30Speaker 2: You can live your life however you want. I don't care,
- 23:32Speaker 2: it's not about that. It's the point of the id.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Well, I have two questions.
- 23:37Speaker 6: First of all, as a woman, I know I'm not
- 23:40Speaker 6: alone that I have not put my accurate weight on
- 23:43Speaker 6: my license since I was probably sixteen years old.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Do we all have to start doing that.
- 23:47Speaker 4: You got to step up.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Your height on your's license.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Stop taking people's word for it. But here's my question
- 23:55Speaker 1: about that, because.
- 23:56Speaker 2: I get what you're Yeah, if okay, let's just say,
- 24:00Speaker 2: let's just say, like a super chunk walks into the
- 24:02Speaker 2: DMV right and puts down that there are one hundred
- 24:05Speaker 2: and forty.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Pounds eighty seven pounds.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Right and someone, But like, will they let them walk
- 24:11Speaker 2: out of there with that question?
- 24:12Speaker 6: That's a great This can just kind of give you
- 24:15Speaker 6: the look you want to try that again?
- 24:16Speaker 1: Give it another pass.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Yeah, because that's a legit. That's a that's a legit point.
- 24:20Speaker 2: I'm wondering is there something like when they are do
- 24:24Speaker 2: they because they always look up at you and like
- 24:25Speaker 2: when they're.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Checking, is that your eye color?
- 24:28Speaker 2: Is that? So I'm wondering, is that what they're doing.
- 24:31Speaker 6: That's a good question. Well, my other question would be,
- 24:33Speaker 6: if you live your say a woman, say a man
- 24:37Speaker 6: lives his life twenty four hours a day looking like
- 24:39Speaker 6: a woman. Isn't the point of the driver's license to
- 24:42Speaker 6: be to talk to show what you currently look like
- 24:47Speaker 6: so they can find you if they need you.
- 24:48Speaker 2: So the picture would look like that, Yeah, like quote,
- 24:52Speaker 2: you can wear whatever style or whatever.
- 24:54Speaker 6: But I just mean, like, if you're trying to reflect
- 24:56Speaker 6: who you're looking for at that moment, wouldn't that be
- 25:00Speaker 6: more reflective of who you're looking for?
- 25:03Speaker 2: Looks like the picture, But like we're talking about the
- 25:05Speaker 2: information on the.
- 25:06Speaker 4: Your hair color could be totally different everything.
- 25:09Speaker 7: Right, Yeah for anybody though, Yeah, but your hair color
- 25:13Speaker 7: can say it's brown.
- 25:14Speaker 2: But so but I guess the point. I guess the
- 25:17Speaker 2: point is we have to make a decision. Do i
- 25:19Speaker 2: DS matter at all? Like whatever?
- 25:22Speaker 7: Can you just like I think what the real ID
- 25:25Speaker 7: just like you know, verifies basically like your where you live,
- 25:32Speaker 7: and then also like some other like understanding I'm saying,
- 25:35Speaker 7: but when.
- 25:36Speaker 2: You go in for even a basic well before a
- 25:38Speaker 2: basic driver's less, you had to bring whatever utility be
- 25:41Speaker 2: able to prove all these other different things. But there
- 25:43Speaker 2: are certain things you just like, yeah, yeah, yeah, that
- 25:45Speaker 2: will over. So like when this comes again, I don't
- 25:48Speaker 2: really truly care, but when they have this as the law,
- 25:53Speaker 2: I go, all right, I don't have a problem with that,
- 25:55Speaker 2: you know, I think that's.
- 25:56Speaker 7: Kind of gonna go away. With facial recognition, Like, I
- 26:00Speaker 7: don't think you're even.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Gonna help the pans and yeah, I don't even.
- 26:03Speaker 7: Think you're gonna even have to put that information. Yeah soon,
- 26:06Speaker 7: because there's just will be all facial recognition, which.
- 26:09Speaker 2: I'm all, that's another unpopular opinion. I'm okay with that.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Like how there's cameras everywhere now, like ill, you know
- 26:14Speaker 2: they're everywhere. Yeah, people are gonna notice where you're gone
- 26:17Speaker 2: to the grocery, I know, big brother, and yeah, I guess.
- 26:21Speaker 3: You're outside your house.
- 26:22Speaker 2: It's fair.
- 26:22Speaker 7: Yeah, but Greg, just another wrinkle if you're going to
- 26:27Speaker 7: purchase the car. More and more states are just like
- 26:29Speaker 7: if you don't have a real idea, you can't even
- 26:30Speaker 7: buy the.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Car, Is that right?
- 26:33Speaker 3: Yep, Well, I guess I'll never get another car.
- 26:36Speaker 4: Registration, a real idea.
- 26:39Speaker 2: No car eight seven seven forty four text over to
- 26:42Speaker 2: two two nine eight seven will be right back. Millions,
- 26:47Speaker 2: like straight up, you guys are idiots. Still will be
- 26:51Speaker 2: right back.
