0:19
SPEAKER_02: Season one, episode 10, remix.
0:24
SPEAKER_02: I guess that was the remix of this intro.
0:26
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I like that.
0:29
SPEAKER_02: I'm Lisa, and I am sipping on Sangria today.
0:32
SPEAKER_00: Nice.
0:34
SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
0:34
SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
0:35
SPEAKER_00: Very nice.
0:35
SPEAKER_00: And I'm Agnes, and I am sipping on a white wine spritzer, kind of, because the spritzer part is fermented pineapple juice.
0:46
SPEAKER_02: That sounds good.
0:48
SPEAKER_00: It's the Sassa Sip Summer Drink of 2025.
0:53
SPEAKER_02: Says you.
0:55
SPEAKER_00: Damn rice says me.
1:00
SPEAKER_02: This is the season finale.
1:03
SPEAKER_02: Holy shit.
1:04
SPEAKER_02: Like we're done with the first season of Good Girls.
1:06
SPEAKER_02: That went by so fast.
1:08
SPEAKER_02: I mean, I know it was 10 episodes, but still that was fast.
1:11
SPEAKER_00: It went through fast.
1:14
SPEAKER_00: Time passes when you're having fun.
1:17
SPEAKER_02: Okay, my hot takes?
1:19
SPEAKER_02: I have two hot takes.
1:21
SPEAKER_00: Okay, gimme.
1:23
SPEAKER_02: Beth?
1:24
SPEAKER_02: Oh, if I thought she was playing a dangerous game last time, what the fuck are you doing, woman?
1:32
SPEAKER_02: And two, oh my god, with the small dick energy.
1:35
SPEAKER_02: Okay?
1:36
SPEAKER_02: With boomer.
1:38
SPEAKER_00: What?
1:38
SPEAKER_00: What like no dick energy?
1:40
SPEAKER_00: I feel like he gives that incel vibe.
1:44
SPEAKER_02: Oh my goodness.
1:45
SPEAKER_02: And like you were so close.
1:47
SPEAKER_02: You are so close.
1:49
SPEAKER_02: You could have had her.
1:53
SPEAKER_02: Then you had to show your ass.
1:55
SPEAKER_02: Alright.
1:56
SPEAKER_02: My hot takes are over.
1:57
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
1:59
SPEAKER_00: Um, shall we start?
2:01
SPEAKER_00: Yes, please.
2:02
SPEAKER_00: Yes, please.
2:03
SPEAKER_00: So, in tonight's episode, was not tonight.
2:07
SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, it was today's whole time.
2:09
SPEAKER_02: It's whatever time you're listening to its episode.
2:11
SPEAKER_00: In this episode, the girls come full circle.
2:16
SPEAKER_00: They were back to where they started.
2:19
SPEAKER_00: I think that's kind of that says a lot about to end the season, the way it began, very lost-esque.
2:27
SPEAKER_00: Yes, okay.
2:28
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
2:28
SPEAKER_00: Everything comes back to lost.
2:32
SPEAKER_00: But before we get to that, they were handling business, as you clearly had your hot take about.
2:39
SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
2:40
SPEAKER_00: So first they start off with figuring out how to get rid of Rio before he gets rid of them.
2:47
SPEAKER_02: Right.
2:47
SPEAKER_02: Well, so let's let's like just recap just for a second.
2:51
SPEAKER_02: In the last episode, Sarah is on the cusp of getting a new kidney, but there's a huge prepayment.
3:01
SPEAKER_02: The whole organization shit is like shut down.
3:04
SPEAKER_02: Then it wasn't, but then Beth thinks that they're fired because Beth mouthed off to her gang member boss.
3:09
SPEAKER_00: And by fired, and I don't think I don't think they don't get fired for right because of the mouthing, but fired because they're restructuring.
3:23
SPEAKER_00: Yes, some restructuring has to happen.
3:26
SPEAKER_02: And Annie is like, right.
3:28
SPEAKER_02: Dean has his fake cancer.
3:30
SPEAKER_02: Annie is in the middle of a custody battle, and so Sadie is living with Greggles.
3:36
SPEAKER_02: So this is kind of like where it's all leading up to.
3:40
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
3:41
SPEAKER_02: Okay, sorry.
3:42
SPEAKER_00: No, why are you sorry?
3:43
SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
3:44
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
3:45
SPEAKER_02: Because you look at me and I feel like, oh my god, I'm sorry.
3:49
SPEAKER_02: Okay, I you guys can't see.
3:52
SPEAKER_02: She's shooting daggers at me.
3:53
SPEAKER_00: I am not.
3:55
SPEAKER_00: I think she's rejecting.
4:00
SPEAKER_00: I am going to I'm I'm an angry black woman now?
4:04
SPEAKER_00: Is that you know what?
4:06
SPEAKER_02: Right.
4:06
SPEAKER_02: It's, I mean, as a white person, I can say that, and most of America will be like, yeah, yeah, they'll automatically believe me because of the color of my skin.
4:15
SPEAKER_00: So this is what you're gonna get now.
4:17
SPEAKER_02: She should have a video.
4:20
SPEAKER_00: I don't want to, I don't want to make you uncomfortable by being white.
4:24
SPEAKER_02: I'm totally lying, but because I'm white, people will believe me.
4:28
SPEAKER_02: So, you know, it's like some kind of privilege, as if it's almost a privilege, but just because I'm white.
4:34
SPEAKER_00: It's bananas.
4:36
SPEAKER_02: Weird.
4:37
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, bananas.
4:38
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
4:39
SPEAKER_00: Because my presence is obviously intimidating towards you.
4:42
SPEAKER_00: It's very intimidating.
4:43
SPEAKER_02: Very degree.
4:43
SPEAKER_02: I know.
4:47
SPEAKER_00: Okay, that was funny.
4:50
SPEAKER_00: Anyone who knows us knows that Lisa's an angry white woman.
4:54
SPEAKER_00: She's an angry black woman.
4:57
SPEAKER_02: You could never know, right?
4:58
SPEAKER_02: Like But Lisa's the angry black woman.
5:02
SPEAKER_02: I'm the one who's gonna burn the fucking patriarchy down.
5:05
SPEAKER_00: Right.
5:05
SPEAKER_00: Because no one's ever listened to our podcast.
5:07
SPEAKER_00: They have no idea.
5:10
SPEAKER_02: So, and concurrent scenes.
5:12
SPEAKER_02: I get more pissed about racism than Axis does half of the time.
5:15
SPEAKER_00: I I just handle it differently.
5:17
SPEAKER_00: It's true.
5:18
SPEAKER_00: Lisa Rageous.
5:20
SPEAKER_02: Right, because like I said, it's almost like I have some kind of a privilege as I caress my white skin.
5:28
SPEAKER_00: I can't stand you right now.
5:31
SPEAKER_02: Um That's that's why you're laughing.
5:34
SPEAKER_00: Back to bad girls.
5:36
SPEAKER_00: Good girls.
5:37
SPEAKER_00: I mean, no way.
5:38
SPEAKER_00: Projecting.
5:39
SPEAKER_00: Good girls.
5:39
SPEAKER_00: That's me projecting.
5:40
SPEAKER_00: Okay, good girls.
5:42
SPEAKER_00: Bad girls talking about good girls.
5:44
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
5:44
SPEAKER_00: Are we drunk?
5:46
unknown: I don't know.
5:47
SPEAKER_02: I don't I don't think I am, but maybe I am.
5:50
SPEAKER_02: Maybe.
5:51
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
5:52
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
5:53
SPEAKER_00: In concurrent scenes, the girls are brainstorming ideas for the Rio cleanse.
5:59
SPEAKER_00: Was that anything like a colon like a colon cleanse?
6:03
SPEAKER_02: I should have not.
6:04
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
6:05
SPEAKER_02: Hmm.
6:07
SPEAKER_02: Well, maybe.
6:08
SPEAKER_02: I guess it depends which way it goes in.
6:13
SPEAKER_00: While they're doing that, you see Rio sitting in his car checking his rear view.
6:20
SPEAKER_00: As bananas as this may sound, Annie's the only one coming up with suggestions.
6:24
SPEAKER_00: I mean, they're any suggestions.
6:26
SPEAKER_02: But she's I was like, as bananas, like that's not bananas.
6:29
SPEAKER_02: Annie coming up with crazy.
6:30
SPEAKER_00: No, but the fact that she's the only one coming up with ideas.
6:34
SPEAKER_00: I mean, granted, they are any ideas, but they're still they're ideas.
6:38
SPEAKER_02: She's like, it's called brainstorming.
6:40
SPEAKER_02: You just gotta see what sticks.
6:41
SPEAKER_02: Ruby's like, I'm leaving.
6:43
SPEAKER_00: Now mind you, the funniest one and the most possible one is bra is the mind control.
6:49
SPEAKER_00: That's doable.
6:50
SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
6:51
unknown: Right.
6:52
SPEAKER_00: This is where Ruby's like, okay, I'm leaving.
6:53
SPEAKER_02: These are not the gang members you're looking for.
6:56
SPEAKER_00: Right.
6:56
SPEAKER_00: These were the gang members that we didn't know we needed.
6:59
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
7:00
SPEAKER_00: The most hilarious, okay.
7:03
SPEAKER_00: X.
7:04
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
7:08
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so Ruby gets ready to go, but Annie and Beth both warn her against leaving herself vulnerable to a hit.
7:15
SPEAKER_00: They're like, make sure, you know, you drive into your your garage and don't stop at a stop sign.
7:21
SPEAKER_00: And she's like, fuck it, I'm just staying.
7:23
SPEAKER_02: She lets us all the red lights.
7:26
SPEAKER_00: She's like, you know what?
7:26
SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna say this.
7:27
SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna spend the night.
7:29
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
7:30
SPEAKER_02: She's like, I'll tell Stan I'm too drunk to drive.
7:32
SPEAKER_02: And Beth is like, it doesn't have to be a lie.
7:35
SPEAKER_00: It's a divorce.
7:36
SPEAKER_00: And I saw the I saw you in that scene.
7:40
SPEAKER_02: Listen, I'm all about telling the truth.
7:43
SPEAKER_00: Meanwhile, Rio finally gets out of his car and heads to a diner to meet Agent Turner, who is clearly not waiting for Rio.
7:52
SPEAKER_00: When Turner tells Rio that he'll talk to Eddie, Rio snorts, good luck with that.
7:58
SPEAKER_00: Guess he needs a like Ouija board to do that.
8:02
SPEAKER_00: The next day at the hospital, Ruby and Stan are getting the news that they both look forward to and dread it.
8:08
SPEAKER_00: The donor kidney will become available within a day.
8:12
SPEAKER_00: But that means they are going to have to pony up 87,453.
8:24
SPEAKER_02: I can help with the 53 cents.
8:26
SPEAKER_02: I can help.
8:26
SPEAKER_02: Put me down.
8:27
SPEAKER_02: Put me down for that.
8:28
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
8:29
SPEAKER_00: I could put like$5.25.
8:30
SPEAKER_02: Actually, yeah, I can I can give it like$5.53.
8:33
SPEAKER_02: I'm good.
8:34
SPEAKER_00: All right, so just$10.53.
8:36
SPEAKER_00: All right.
8:37
SPEAKER_00: Doing what any desperate parent would do.
8:40
SPEAKER_00: They write a check knowing full well that's not enough money in their account to cover it.
8:45
SPEAKER_00: But it buys them time.
8:46
SPEAKER_02: Dan is like, this is this is a felony.
8:49
SPEAKER_02: Whatever.
8:49
SPEAKER_00: Boy.
8:51
SPEAKER_00: If you only knew.
8:52
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
8:52
SPEAKER_02: All right, Stan.
8:54
SPEAKER_00: Once home, they start checking their bank account and the GoFundMe, but there's only a combin a combined total of like$4,300.
9:02
SPEAKER_00: Which is better than what we have.
9:04
SPEAKER_00: You know.
9:05
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
9:06
SPEAKER_00: I might have had$43.
9:08
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
9:10
SPEAKER_00: As Stan astutely says, the check is not going to bounce.
9:14
SPEAKER_00: It's going to ricochet.
9:17
SPEAKER_00: From the best husband to the worst, answered Dean.
9:22
SPEAKER_00: Dean is eating car seat French fries out of their minivan.
9:26
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's putting the kid in the car and the kid is eating something and he's like, what are you eating?
9:30
SPEAKER_02: Because like, French fries, where'd you find it?
9:32
SPEAKER_02: Under the seat?
9:32
SPEAKER_02: Oh, cool.
9:33
SPEAKER_02: Give me one.
9:35
SPEAKER_02: I know McDonald's French fries never go bad, which is very in itself, and they're delicious when they're fresh and hot.
9:42
SPEAKER_02: Please don't eat fries that you find under your seat.
9:45
SPEAKER_00: No.
9:45
SPEAKER_02: Like, not even after right two minutes, two seconds after they fall.
9:51
SPEAKER_00: Lisa's grossed out.
9:53
SPEAKER_00: Bh.
9:54
SPEAKER_00: Just the entire episode because she's vomiting.
9:56
SPEAKER_00: Um, touch back next week with Zassy Sips.
9:59
SPEAKER_02: What else are we eating from under the seats?
10:02
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
10:04
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no.
10:05
SPEAKER_02: Gross.
10:05
SPEAKER_02: Um after this I don't care how clean your car is gross.
10:09
SPEAKER_00: After this lovely meal, he starts making a plea to Beth for their marriage by asking her, does she know where Wednesday is?
10:19
SPEAKER_00: She goes, trash day.
10:22
SPEAKER_00: Because obviously she's distracted by, you know, other things and the car across the street and whose kid is that and what the fuck.
10:29
SPEAKER_00: Dean asked, so he's like, it's our anniversary.
10:33
SPEAKER_00: And he asks her to dinner.
10:36
SPEAKER_00: And actually, he has the audacity, because every motherfucker to give her ultimatum to make a decision about their marriage.
10:45
SPEAKER_00: Before heading to work, Annie drops Sadie off at her new school while peppering her with questions under the perception that it's a horrible place and Sadie is miserable.
10:55
SPEAKER_00: But it's only Annie who looks miserable as she starts her shift at the Lisa.
11:02
SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
11:03
SPEAKER_00: No, I'm not.
11:04
SPEAKER_00: Especially when Boomer brings over a new employee named Sally, who somehow started three days ago, who was already being groomed for assistant manager.
11:15
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
11:16
SPEAKER_00: Boomer brags that he needs to start delegating more because he's dating someone very special before getting on Annie's axe for a drawer that was 78 cents short last night.
11:28
SPEAKER_00: Well, of the scene, you know.
11:31
SPEAKER_00: Without missing a beat, Annie grabs the support out children's charity bucket, plucks out 78 cents, and deposits it into her register.
11:39
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she's like, that's how you fix that.
11:41
SPEAKER_00: That's easy breezy.
11:42
SPEAKER_00: And of course, Boomer and Sally look appalled.
11:45
SPEAKER_00: Just appalled.
11:46
SPEAKER_00: That's a good word.
11:47
SPEAKER_00: We don't use that often enough.
11:51
SPEAKER_00: And then Boomer tells Sally she's gonna need to keep an eye on the checkout girls, especially Annie.
11:56
SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
11:57
SPEAKER_00: He continues his training by mentioning to Sally we need to make sure that the vault matches the day receipts, giving Annie an idea.
12:05
SPEAKER_00: Because how the fuck is the vault gonna ever match the day receipts?
12:10
unknown: Right.
12:12
SPEAKER_00: Still don't know how that happens and he doesn't know what the fuck is going on.
12:15
SPEAKER_00: But anyway.
12:17
SPEAKER_00: But you make a good point.
12:20
SPEAKER_02: How could the total add up unless unless Boomer is just a complete fucking moron and thinks that the overage cash, like the cash on hand, is like petty cash.
12:36
SPEAKER_02: It's like five hundred thousand dollars.
12:38
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, petty cash is five yeah.
12:40
SPEAKER_02: That's a lot of fucking petty cash.
12:42
SPEAKER_02: Most I mean, I I've never worked in a supermarket.
12:48
SPEAKER_02: But like you've worked at a big box retailer.
12:52
SPEAKER_00: And there was never that much, trust me.
12:55
SPEAKER_02: And you know, but right, like where I where I worked, I mean there might have been like two grand in total, you know, be you know, to make change with and shit, but like a couple thousand, not not that.
13:09
SPEAKER_02: So I don't know.
13:10
SPEAKER_00: That is very strange that Boomer can't seem to figure out that that's not actually not strange once you get to know Boomer.
13:18
SPEAKER_00: It makes sense.
13:20
SPEAKER_02: True.
13:21
SPEAKER_02: So Boomer's one of those guys that like he thinks that because he has a job with the title, that it makes him like important and smart, and he can't seek past that to realize that he's actually not.
13:35
SPEAKER_00: It's like the old bathroom sign.
13:38
SPEAKER_00: I think my I think every old person had it.
13:40
SPEAKER_00: My grandfather had it.
13:42
SPEAKER_00: The body parts are all fighting amongst themselves about who's gonna be boss.
13:47
SPEAKER_00: The brain, the heart, the legs, everyone thinks they're gonna.
13:52
SPEAKER_00: And then the asshole goes, Well, I want to be boss, and everybody laughs at him.
13:57
SPEAKER_00: So he closes up shop, and all the other body parts stop fucking working.
14:03
SPEAKER_00: And at the end, it goes, it just goes to show you don't have to be important to be a boss, just an asshole.
14:13
SPEAKER_00: And boomer is the personification of that.
14:16
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
14:17
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
14:17
SPEAKER_00: So Annie has text them 911.
14:20
SPEAKER_00: They're yelling at her for calling for Cody at 911.
14:23
SPEAKER_00: It obviously wasn't an emergency.
14:25
SPEAKER_00: And Annie's like, okay, listen, I have something to say.
14:30
SPEAKER_00: So Annie goes, what's the one thing they know about Rio?
14:34
SPEAKER_00: What's the one thing that they know, the ladies, that the cops don't?
14:39
SPEAKER_00: Ruby goes, he wears his hoodies, funny.
14:41
unknown: Yeah.
14:42
SPEAKER_00: And then Becky goes, yeah.
14:44
SPEAKER_00: Beth goes, yeah, like half off and half off.
14:46
SPEAKER_00: Like half off and half on.
14:48
SPEAKER_00: Right.
14:48
SPEAKER_00: Never notice.
14:49
SPEAKER_00: So like make a decision.
14:50
SPEAKER_00: What'd you say?
14:51
SPEAKER_00: I never noticed that.
14:52
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
14:53
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
14:56
SPEAKER_02: He kind of has it like by his ears.
14:58
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
14:59
SPEAKER_00: So Annie goes, yeah, there is that, yes.
15:02
SPEAKER_00: But she also says the cops also don't know that Rio launders money through the fine and fugo.
15:09
SPEAKER_00: While they just can't just, while they just can't tell the FBI how they know this, Annie tells them they just need to give them a reason to look.
15:18
SPEAKER_00: Plus, this way they can take a little bit extra to cover Sarah's surgery.
15:23
SPEAKER_00: So here we go.
15:24
SPEAKER_00: Like I said earlier, we're coming back full circle.
15:27
SPEAKER_00: Another home alone-esque type plan is drawn out.
15:34
SPEAKER_00: But the girls are smarter.
15:36
SPEAKER_00: They've learned.
15:37
SPEAKER_00: They got their shit together.
15:39
SPEAKER_00: Annie tells them about the security upgrades, which is kind of extensive.
15:44
SPEAKER_00: There's a brand new vault and all this other shit.
15:48
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, there's there's like panic buttons, there's slippery floors, new cameras, and a new vault.
16:22
SPEAKER_00: Um, that's pretty cool.
16:24
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
16:24
SPEAKER_00: Oh, and motion detectors.
16:26
SPEAKER_00: Right.
16:27
SPEAKER_00: So Ruby asks, Well, what about Boomer?
16:30
SPEAKER_00: Annie tells him, he's found love.
16:32
SPEAKER_00: And Ruby replies, with what?
16:35
SPEAKER_00: Because, like at this point, she said, but Annie goes, but Tyler has lost seven pounds, and he might run a little bit faster.
16:45
SPEAKER_00: Maybe just a little.
16:47
SPEAKER_00: Right.
16:48
SPEAKER_00: The other obstacles the girls are facing are panic buttons at each register.
16:53
SPEAKER_00: And with the floors and the motion detectors, they got it.
16:57
SPEAKER_00: They no biggie.
16:58
SPEAKER_00: They've handled bigger problems.
17:00
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
17:01
SPEAKER_00: Apparently, they have.
17:02
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
17:02
SPEAKER_00: Apparently.
17:03
SPEAKER_00: Beth offloads the kids onto Dean while giving the poor bastard hope by telling him, go ahead and make those dinner reservations.
17:10
SPEAKER_00: We don't know if she's doing it just to get rid of him or if he actually means it.
17:16
SPEAKER_00: Maybe a little bit of both, in my personal opinion.
17:20
SPEAKER_02: I think so too.
17:22
SPEAKER_00: A little bit of both?
17:23
SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
17:24
SPEAKER_00: Sarah is due for surgery and she's on a clear liquid diet to prep.
17:28
SPEAKER_00: And true to hashtag family goals, they all have the same dinner, which is sweet, you know?
17:36
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
17:37
SPEAKER_00: Of course, Sarah wants pizza and Stan and Ruby.
17:41
SPEAKER_00: I don't know how they're like the modern version of the Cleavers.
17:46
SPEAKER_00: Like they just they get it.
17:49
SPEAKER_00: Their parenting done right.
17:52
SPEAKER_02: I never wanted a pepperoni and pineapple pizza so bad in my life.
17:55
SPEAKER_00: Seriously.
17:56
SPEAKER_00: And then like that karas stick I was chewing on almost tasted just like it because of watching this episode.
18:03
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
18:05
SPEAKER_00: So they managed to convince the kids that their bowls of broth were filled with all the same flavored notes as the pineapple and pepperoni pizza.
18:12
SPEAKER_00: As the parents leave their bowls to the kids because, as Sarah said, oh, theirs tastes better.
18:19
SPEAKER_00: Oh fucking kid.
18:20
SPEAKER_00: Although other people's food does taste better than yours.
18:22
SPEAKER_00: I don't care.
18:23
SPEAKER_00: It does.
18:24
SPEAKER_00: Like if I'm out with, you know, you're like, oh, let me taste yours.
18:27
SPEAKER_00: We've got the same shit, but somehow it just tastes better.
18:30
SPEAKER_00: Ruby tells Dan that Corporate came through with the advance.
18:33
SPEAKER_00: She continues the lie by telling him she's heading to headquarters to get the money as soon as they open.
18:39
SPEAKER_00: Being the good husband that he is, he doesn't want her driving all night by herself.
18:43
SPEAKER_00: But she tells him, because she said it was in Dayton, Ohio.
18:47
SPEAKER_00: Dayton.
18:48
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
18:48
SPEAKER_00: Um, but she tells him that Beth volunteered to go with her.
18:51
SPEAKER_00: Are you ready?
18:52
SPEAKER_00: Are you ready?
18:53
SPEAKER_00: Next scene.
18:55
SPEAKER_00: Nobody move.
18:56
SPEAKER_00: This is a robbery.
18:58
SPEAKER_00: Beth, once again, but like a flashback, right?
19:02
SPEAKER_00: Have a day a little bit.
19:03
SPEAKER_00: I thought it was Annie at first.
19:04
SPEAKER_00: It might have been Annie, but same difference.
19:07
SPEAKER_02: No, it wasn't.
19:07
SPEAKER_02: I'm saying like this time.
19:08
SPEAKER_02: I thought it was Annie.
19:10
SPEAKER_00: Oh.
19:11
SPEAKER_02: Who was doing that at first.
19:12
SPEAKER_02: And then I was like, wait, that's not Annie.
19:14
SPEAKER_02: Where's Annie?
19:15
SPEAKER_00: She's a little shorter.
19:16
SPEAKER_00: But wait, we'll find Annie.
19:18
SPEAKER_00: It's not long before we realize it's only two girls, like Lisa has realized.
19:22
SPEAKER_00: Um, but then when Beth asks who's in charge, you see Shelly, Sally, like shaking in her boots, shaking in her clocks.
19:33
SPEAKER_00: Because she looks like she wears clocks.
19:35
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
19:36
SPEAKER_00: I'm just going straight to hell.
19:38
SPEAKER_02: She looks like she wears um, what's the other one?
19:43
SPEAKER_02: Easy spirits?
19:44
SPEAKER_02: No.
19:45
SPEAKER_02: Well, yeah.
19:48
SPEAKER_00: The fucking ones that the hippies wear.
19:51
SPEAKER_00: Oh, those.
19:52
SPEAKER_00: Oh.
19:53
SPEAKER_00: Um I'm looking at the sandal.
19:57
SPEAKER_02: Perkin socks.
19:58
SPEAKER_02: She looks like she wears Birkin socks.
19:59
SPEAKER_00: Swears Birkin socks.
20:00
SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
20:01
SPEAKER_00: But she dresses up to wear clothes.
20:02
SPEAKER_02: They're also very comfortable, though, I'm not even gonna lie.
20:06
unknown: Okay.
20:07
SPEAKER_00: Um I take your word for it.
20:09
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm sure they are comfortable, but I still wouldn't wear them.
20:12
SPEAKER_00: I am fashion over function.
20:14
SPEAKER_00: No, I mean that's why and that is why I haven't had feeling in my feet and since I was a teenager.
20:20
SPEAKER_02: Because that's why I'm still wearing the same clothes for the last 30 years.
20:26
SPEAKER_02: So yeah, they they're like, who's in charge?
20:29
SPEAKER_02: Wait.
20:29
SPEAKER_00: I'm just no, I'm just trying to find my spot.
20:32
SPEAKER_00: I I was trying to help you.
20:34
SPEAKER_00: I know, but it's what that doesn't help me find where I was in the line in the paragraph.
20:39
SPEAKER_00: I know where I was, but I just want to find the paragraph.
20:42
SPEAKER_00: The camera pants to Sally losing her shit as she's trying to hit the panic button.
20:48
SPEAKER_00: I think she does hit the panic button, but it was Somebody somebody hits it, yeah.
20:52
SPEAKER_00: She does.
20:53
SPEAKER_00: She does manage to hit it, but a little shaky.
20:56
SPEAKER_00: But here comes Annie to save the day.
20:57
SPEAKER_00: It's me.
20:58
SPEAKER_00: I am.
20:59
SPEAKER_00: Look at that genius move.
21:02
SPEAKER_00: Because she's protecting Sally.
21:04
SPEAKER_00: Because obviously Sally's really scared and nervous about this whole situation.
21:07
SPEAKER_00: Right.
21:08
SPEAKER_02: Thank God for Annie.
21:09
SPEAKER_00: Thank God for Annie, but that was genius.
21:11
SPEAKER_02: Thank Danny De Beetle for Annie.
21:13
SPEAKER_00: Thank Dan.
21:14
SPEAKER_00: I gotta remember that one.
21:15
SPEAKER_02: Thank Danny for Annie.
21:17
SPEAKER_00: That rhymes.
21:19
SPEAKER_00: Can we put that in the show notes for the title?
21:21
SPEAKER_00: Like, thank Danny for Annie.
21:22
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
21:23
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
21:24
SPEAKER_00: That's cute.
21:25
SPEAKER_00: You have a you have a lot of good one-liners.
21:27
SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
21:28
SPEAKER_00: Well, you're welcome.
21:29
SPEAKER_00: I'm here all week, folks.
21:31
SPEAKER_00: Same time, same channel.
21:32
SPEAKER_00: Yep.
21:34
SPEAKER_00: Don't forget to tip your waitress.
21:36
SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, your server.
21:37
SPEAKER_00: And your host and your MC.
21:39
SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
21:40
SPEAKER_00: The MC should be tipped.
21:42
SPEAKER_00: Beth hurts all the customers into an aisle as Ruby plucks Annie to go open the vault.
21:47
SPEAKER_00: Annie tells Sally not to be a hero.
21:50
SPEAKER_00: Turn a key car over.
21:52
SPEAKER_00: Beth is on crowd control, telling everyone to keep their heads down, like nap time.
21:56
SPEAKER_00: I think I would totally be like, oh, nap time?
22:02
SPEAKER_00: Okay, I can do this.
22:06
SPEAKER_00: Like the cops would come to save us and I'll be snoring.
22:09
SPEAKER_00: Like drool and everything.
22:12
SPEAKER_00: Best nap ever.
22:14
SPEAKER_00: Um Ruby roughs Annie up a little bit to make it real as she pushes her into the office.
22:21
SPEAKER_00: And of course, they're fighting over the keys, so because Annie doesn't have Have nails, but Ruby's wearing gloves, and of course, it falls into the vent and the floor.
22:30
SPEAKER_00: So I didn't know this.
22:32
SPEAKER_00: Of course, because that's the way it always is gonna happen.
22:35
SPEAKER_00: They're obviously on a time crunch before the cops get here.
22:40
SPEAKER_00: Because obviously they know the button was pushed because Annie knows that they have the panic alarms.
22:45
SPEAKER_00: So of course, Ruby's long arms come back into play.
22:52
SPEAKER_00: The special sauce arms comes back into play.
22:54
SPEAKER_00: And then she asks if anyone else has a card, because who wants to go through that again?
23:00
SPEAKER_00: Next next thing.
23:01
SPEAKER_02: They'd rather eat French fries from under the seat.
23:04
SPEAKER_00: Same.
23:05
SPEAKER_00: The show cuts to Mary Pat line dancing with Boomer, who is blissfully unaware that his store is getting hit a second time.
23:12
SPEAKER_00: As they continue fumbling for the card, Beth is punching in a three-digit code on all the registers, causing them to print the day's receipts before showing them in a ah, got it.
23:22
SPEAKER_00: Let me speak English again, okay?
23:24
SPEAKER_00: Try this again.
23:24
SPEAKER_00: Take 606.
23:27
SPEAKER_00: As they continue fumbling for the card, Beth is punching in a three-digit code on all the registers, causing them to print the day's receipts before shoving them into a manila envelope and writing something on the outside.
23:40
SPEAKER_02: I do think that it's stupid though that she took the cap off with her mouth and then spit it out.
23:45
SPEAKER_02: Your DNA is on there.
23:47
SPEAKER_00: And honestly, because we know how we are professional TV watchers, we know that's gonna come back to bite them in the ass.
23:54
SPEAKER_00: It has to.
23:55
SPEAKER_00: I don't see them putting that in the show, making it that obvious if it's not gonna be something to for us to remember.
24:02
SPEAKER_00: So Ruby sauce on Hill comes through in the clutch.
24:06
SPEAKER_00: She got the key card out, and then next thing you see her telling Beth they're good to go as the cops are arriving.
24:13
SPEAKER_00: Except everything's going to plan except for one thing.
24:17
SPEAKER_00: As Aim as Annie's taping up money around her middle, I'm assuming this is the surgery money.
24:23
SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
24:24
SPEAKER_00: Tyler catches her in mid-swipe of the tape.
24:28
SPEAKER_02: First of all, I don't know why Annie didn't button her jack her thing really, really quickly before she turned around or just closed it and and pretend like she's shivering or shaking.
24:38
SPEAKER_02: Like, oh my god, I was so scared.
24:40
SPEAKER_02: Like Tyler's a fucking moron.
24:43
SPEAKER_02: He never would have known.
24:45
SPEAKER_02: No.
24:45
SPEAKER_02: He turned around with uh frock open, money showing, like dumbass.
24:52
SPEAKER_02: Dumbass.
24:55
SPEAKER_00: Okay, sorry.
24:56
SPEAKER_00: And then he has a fucking gun.
24:57
SPEAKER_00: Like, what the fuck did he get a gun from?
24:59
SPEAKER_00: I know.
25:00
SPEAKER_00: The fuck, of all people, I'd rather give my gun to my I'd rather give it to a five-year-old.
25:04
SPEAKER_00: I think it'd be safer than with Tyler.
25:06
SPEAKER_00: Tyler being the security man that he is, he tells her to put the money back as she's nearing tears.
25:13
SPEAKER_00: So she tries a different tactic.
25:15
SPEAKER_00: Everything's from splitting money to being his girlfriend.
25:19
SPEAKER_00: He goes, I'm gay.
25:20
SPEAKER_00: And she's like, huh.
25:23
SPEAKER_00: Her reaction was like, uh, huh.
25:26
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
25:27
SPEAKER_00: Uh, it's more like, why didn't I assume that?
25:30
SPEAKER_00: Like, you know what I mean?
25:32
SPEAKER_00: I'm disappointed in myself.
25:34
SPEAKER_00: And this is when this the scene flips over to the cops.
25:39
SPEAKER_00: And I feel like they were like, I can't remember.
25:42
SPEAKER_00: Was it well they were sitting Booth cops running through the store, like coming through the back and doing it.
25:50
SPEAKER_00: And it didn't seem they they didn't feel like real cops.
25:53
SPEAKER_00: It just seemed like a whole bunch of like Mayberry cops.
25:56
SPEAKER_00: But I'm like, okay, do you.
25:58
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
25:59
SPEAKER_00: And they with the guns drawn and they're it's okay, it's safe.
26:03
SPEAKER_00: You can go.
26:05
SPEAKER_00: And at this point, the genius of their plan is finally seen.
26:11
SPEAKER_00: And you see Beth and Ruby laying down on the floor as if they were also hostages.
26:18
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I had a feeling that that was coming when they didn't immediately walk out the door.
26:22
SPEAKER_02: I was like, why are they just standing there looking at the cops like four blocks over and being like, I know, like, just walk the fuck out.
26:37
SPEAKER_00: Bye-bye.
26:37
SPEAKER_00: Genius.
26:38
SPEAKER_00: Genius.
26:39
SPEAKER_00: And then we see Annie stay in the back of an ambulance and we realize Tyler's final price.
26:44
SPEAKER_00: You ready?
26:45
SPEAKER_00: This is amazing.
26:46
SPEAKER_00: He wants to be a hero.
26:49
SPEAKER_00: And Annie, and Annie being Annie laid that shit on Vic.
26:52
SPEAKER_00: And she's like, it's like Van Damme meets Bruce Lee, but more lethal.
26:57
SPEAKER_00: And he's just grinning from ear to ear.
26:59
SPEAKER_00: It's kind of sad but cute at the same time.
27:02
SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
27:03
SPEAKER_00: Because the officers are congratulating him and he's the man.
27:06
SPEAKER_00: And it's like I said, it's sad, but you know.
27:10
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
27:11
SPEAKER_00: An unmarked police car comes, an unmarked car pulled up to the store, and Agent Turner jumps out.
27:17
SPEAKER_00: Inside he finds the manila envelope on top of the cache inside the vault.
27:22
SPEAKER_00: We see that the outside of the envelope has his name written on it before the camera slowly closes in on Beth's mask sitting at the top of the coat dry box in the office.
27:31
SPEAKER_00: How long did it take you to realize that's what it was?
27:34
SPEAKER_02: No, I saw.
27:36
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
27:37
SPEAKER_02: Even Amaya, who was watching with me, she was like, oh, that's the ski mask, right?
27:41
SPEAKER_02: I say, yeah.
27:42
SPEAKER_00: I was really waiting for like what movie.
27:44
SPEAKER_00: It was a movie.
27:45
SPEAKER_00: I can't remember what movie it was.
27:46
SPEAKER_00: But you'd like, I was waiting to see like an eye.
27:49
SPEAKER_00: Because someone hiding.
27:53
SPEAKER_00: The next day, Mary Pat is ironing when one of her sons asks, What's that beeping noise in their house?
28:00
SPEAKER_00: The two go on a hunt for the source of the chirping until Mary Pat locates it.
28:05
SPEAKER_00: She finds a hidden recorder in Boomer's Himmel, which has gone off because the memory was full.
28:11
SPEAKER_00: You dumb fucking asshole.
28:13
SPEAKER_00: Well, actually, I'm he's not a dumb, I'm glad he was a dumb asshole because he got caught out there, but still.
28:18
SPEAKER_00: At the hospital, Ruby hands over$86,$87,500 in cash.
28:25
SPEAKER_00: And then apologize for not having smaller bills.
28:28
SPEAKER_00: I know as a hospital administration, I'm like, I know this is dirty, but I'm also needing to pay, I had we need to get paid.
28:34
SPEAKER_02: So give me why would you want smaller bills?
28:36
SPEAKER_02: That's just one minute, like to count.
28:40
SPEAKER_02: You count to$87,000 fucking dollars.
28:42
SPEAKER_00: That one, like that, that that one, that last$100 bill could have been 20s, I guess.
28:46
SPEAKER_00: She's like, you know.
28:48
SPEAKER_00: You know.
28:49
SPEAKER_00: She tells a woman to shred the check and then goes off to find Stan.
28:54
SPEAKER_00: They can't believe they finally made it in more ways than one.
28:59
SPEAKER_00: Annie goes to pick up Sadie from school, but she is nowhere to be found and is not answering Annie's text.
29:05
SPEAKER_00: As Annie goes to check.
29:07
SPEAKER_02: I have a question.
29:08
SPEAKER_02: How come in like TV shows when they show the text messages like they're showing Annie's texting Sadie?
29:17
SPEAKER_02: Like, where are you?
29:18
SPEAKER_02: Why are there no previous messages?
29:19
SPEAKER_02: Why are there always no previous messages?
29:22
SPEAKER_02: If I open up my chat to text anybody, there's always a previous message.
29:27
SPEAKER_00: I don't have I don't delete anything.
29:29
SPEAKER_02: Me either.
29:31
SPEAKER_02: You want to know what we talked about four years ago?
29:33
SPEAKER_02: Scroll up.
29:34
SPEAKER_00: I'll scroll.
29:34
SPEAKER_00: Keep on scrolling.
29:36
SPEAKER_00: Yep.
29:38
unknown: Yeah.
29:39
SPEAKER_00: Oh.
29:40
SPEAKER_00: Every so often though, especially with Angie, I have to, we have to put like disclaimers randomly through our thread.
29:47
SPEAKER_00: Like, this is just a joke.
29:48
SPEAKER_00: In case something from Alphabet suit is watching us, isn't that what we meant?
29:55
SPEAKER_00: Annie goes to pick up Sadie from school, but she is nowhere to be found and is not answering.
30:00
SPEAKER_00: And Annie's text.
30:02
SPEAKER_00: From the clear text thread.
30:04
SPEAKER_00: As Annie goes to check the school squad.
30:07
SPEAKER_00: No.
30:08
SPEAKER_00: As Annie goes to check the school quad, she sees a visibly happy Sadie laughing and playing with new friends.
30:15
SPEAKER_00: Oh?
30:16
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
30:18
SPEAKER_00: Mary Pat pays Beth a visit at home and she's little bit disturbed at this.
30:23
SPEAKER_00: She's like A little bit?
30:24
SPEAKER_02: Good for her.
30:25
SPEAKER_02: Right, just a tad bit.
30:26
SPEAKER_02: She deserves it.
30:27
SPEAKER_02: I'm not mad about Mary Pat being all getting her panties in a bunch.
30:35
SPEAKER_02: Just saying.
30:37
SPEAKER_00: No, I concur.
30:38
SPEAKER_00: I concur.
30:41
SPEAKER_00: So she goes to tells Beth about the recording device she found.
30:46
SPEAKER_00: So Beth asks her about her new guy.
30:48
SPEAKER_00: And Mary Pat says she feels like an idiot.
30:51
SPEAKER_00: As she's going through her phone to look for a picture.
30:54
SPEAKER_00: And then she so and then she shows him their selfie.
30:57
SPEAKER_00: Or I Lisa calls it an Ussie.
31:00
unknown: Yeah.
31:01
SPEAKER_02: But she's like, is he FBI?
31:03
SPEAKER_02: Is he CIA?
31:04
SPEAKER_02: Like she's so freaked out about who he could be.
31:06
SPEAKER_00: No, he is.
31:07
SPEAKER_00: And I think I think on some level she was relieved that it was Boomer.
31:12
SPEAKER_00: Because they can handle a boomer.
31:14
SPEAKER_00: And they have.
31:15
SPEAKER_00: And they have.
31:16
SPEAKER_00: Now they're going to have to handle them.
31:17
SPEAKER_00: She tells Mary Pat she's gonna need a drink.
31:21
SPEAKER_00: And Mary Pat's like, but it's like, what was it, like 11 o'clock?
31:24
SPEAKER_00: Three o'clock.
31:25
SPEAKER_00: Three o'clock.
31:25
SPEAKER_02: She's like, but it's only 3 p.m.
31:27
SPEAKER_02: She's like, then it's time to do it.
31:28
SPEAKER_00: He's making a double.
31:31
SPEAKER_00: So Dean is looking all cute.
31:32
SPEAKER_00: So this is at this moment had a like Dean is like you said last week, horrible husband, great guy.
31:40
SPEAKER_00: And he's he has his moments where he's like, okay, he's not horrible.
31:45
SPEAKER_00: He's not bad, you know.
31:47
SPEAKER_00: Maybe he could be redeemed.
31:50
SPEAKER_02: He's about to leave work with a bouquet of flowers and looking all cute and like, you know, just all happy for his and for his hot date.
32:00
SPEAKER_02: Maybe hot date with his wife.
32:01
SPEAKER_00: With his wife, which is cute.
32:03
SPEAKER_00: And to the point where the guy was like, the sales guy was like, oh, someone wants to try the test drive the Maserati.
32:08
SPEAKER_00: He goes, You do it.
32:10
SPEAKER_00: On his way home, Dean is belting out.
32:14
SPEAKER_00: I love that song.
32:15
SPEAKER_00: Eric Carmen's Make Me Lose Control.
32:18
SPEAKER_02: I know.
32:18
SPEAKER_02: I was singing it too.
32:19
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
32:20
SPEAKER_00: I should I should have known.
32:21
SPEAKER_00: And then, of course, Dean Dean's.
32:23
SPEAKER_02: Turn the radio on for the sweet sound.
32:28
SPEAKER_02: Hold me clothes.
32:29
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
32:30
SPEAKER_02: Good thing I edit these.
32:32
SPEAKER_00: I damn, I wish I edited this one.
32:35
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, leave that one in.
32:37
SPEAKER_00: Turn the volume up.
32:40
SPEAKER_00: Alright.
32:44
SPEAKER_00: I foresee a concert happening for this episode.
32:48
SPEAKER_00: I'm loving it.
32:49
SPEAKER_02: Oh, it's gonna take a while to kick in.
32:50
SPEAKER_02: We'll be done.
32:51
SPEAKER_00: Shit.
32:52
SPEAKER_00: So he's singing along.
32:54
SPEAKER_00: So Dean Deans, and he gets distracted by a hot woman jogging and then crashes his fucking car.
33:00
SPEAKER_00: Oh, he gets T-boned.
33:03
SPEAKER_02: I want to see this.
33:06
SPEAKER_02: And then the 1986 cast of Reunion starts to figure out how to cover it up.
33:11
SPEAKER_02: Oh, wait, wrong show.
33:14
SPEAKER_00: We went to Lost to Reunion.
33:16
SPEAKER_00: See, all our shows are connected, you guys.
33:19
SPEAKER_00: Obviously.
33:20
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we do that intentionally.
33:21
SPEAKER_02: Somehow, and somehow they were also in Detroit in 2007.
33:27
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that sounds about 18, 19.
33:29
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
33:30
SPEAKER_00: Whatever.
33:30
SPEAKER_00: At the hospital, Beth is told by a doctor that Dean's gonna be fine.
33:35
SPEAKER_00: He just has some minor whiplash and a couple of root bruised ribs.
33:40
SPEAKER_00: So she hands Beth a prescription for the pain medication.
33:43
SPEAKER_01: And Beth asks in trouble.
33:46
SPEAKER_01: Nanny nanny boo-boop She asks Okay.
33:52
SPEAKER_02: I don't know what the fuck She asks if it was gonna interfere with the cancer meds or whatever.
33:59
SPEAKER_02: Yes.
34:00
SPEAKER_02: And the that that doctor, that nurse, whatever, she would look like huh?
34:06
SPEAKER_00: What are you talking about, Willis?
34:09
SPEAKER_02: Exactly what I was gonna say.
34:11
SPEAKER_02: What are you talking about, Willis?
34:15
SPEAKER_00: So when she tells uh so obviously she had that moment, she's like, okay, this motherfucker here.
34:23
SPEAKER_00: She does the she was like the black one was saying uh go ahead.
34:28
SPEAKER_02: Uh no, because Beth Beth is like looking at her confused, at her confusion, and the nurse doctor lady is like cancer?
34:38
SPEAKER_02: And Beth is like, Did you take his blood?
34:40
SPEAKER_02: And she's like, Yeah, and she's like, Okay, thanks for the pain, Mets.
34:45
SPEAKER_02: I'll sit right here and she's like, Yeah, he'll he'll be out shortly.
34:49
SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't, and they're both like, I don't know what the fuck just happened here, but Fed is like, Well, I got something for his ass.
34:56
SPEAKER_00: That look on her face was like every black woman is talking about this guy.
35:02
SPEAKER_00: Best is down the waiting area, and Dean's voice is playing in her head, echoing that he has cancer.
35:09
SPEAKER_00: The TV blaring above her distracts her as the news supports that the gang members were indicted on racketeering charges.
35:16
SPEAKER_00: She watches with the slightest hint of a smile as Ryos and cuffs and placed into an unmarked car.
35:23
SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, Beth, you fucked up.
35:27
SPEAKER_00: Like you think you won?
35:29
SPEAKER_00: You don't know what the fuck you did.
35:31
SPEAKER_00: You are fucked.
35:33
SPEAKER_00: At the diner, Beth tells Annie and Ruby that she's done something.
35:38
SPEAKER_00: And as soon as she says those words, Ruby's like, wait, I still have PSTS PTSD about the treehouse.
35:47
SPEAKER_02: She's like, every time you say those words, she's like, I don't listen, I don't blame her.
35:54
SPEAKER_00: I don't blame her.
35:55
SPEAKER_00: Because that started all of this shit.
35:57
SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
35:58
SPEAKER_00: So Beth continues with her story, telling her how earlier she was on a highway, and instead of getting off, she kept going.
36:08
SPEAKER_00: She went all the way to the border.
36:10
SPEAKER_00: And then she crossed the border into Canada.
36:14
SPEAKER_00: And then I went to the was it was what store was that called?
36:18
SPEAKER_00: It was the craft store.
36:19
SPEAKER_00: She said, That went to the craft store.
36:23
SPEAKER_00: And who do I see?
36:24
SPEAKER_00: I see Big Mike on top of the forklift thing.
36:27
SPEAKER_00: It was a really good story.
36:29
SPEAKER_00: And I tell him, she pretty much tell him, like, she threatens him.
36:31
SPEAKER_00: She's like, we're taking over.
36:32
SPEAKER_00: He's like, no new people from Detroit.
36:35
SPEAKER_00: Bitch, we all Detroit.
36:37
SPEAKER_00: Annie and Ruby are like, what the fuck?
36:39
SPEAKER_00: This bitch is on some serious shit.
36:41
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna have to put her down.
36:42
SPEAKER_00: She's like a lame horse.
36:43
SPEAKER_00: Like, it can't.
36:44
SPEAKER_00: No good could come of this.
36:46
SPEAKER_00: And she goes, and now I have six huge boxes of wrapping paper in my car.
36:51
SPEAKER_00: So Beth starts laughing at them because they believed her.
36:55
SPEAKER_00: I believed her.
36:56
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
36:58
SPEAKER_00: And when Annie says, Well, I'm kind of sad that's not true.
37:01
SPEAKER_00: And Beth goes, Well, it could be.
37:03
SPEAKER_00: Boomer knocks on Mary Pat's door.
37:06
SPEAKER_00: He's drunk and pissed because the store was hit.
37:09
SPEAKER_00: And he chooses now to admit he knows that Mary Pat is on some Sadie business with the girls.
37:15
SPEAKER_00: Those are bad people.
37:17
SPEAKER_00: And Annie's the worst.
37:20
SPEAKER_00: The fuck.
37:21
SPEAKER_00: Fuck him and his little bad people.
37:24
SPEAKER_02: I was like, I can't believe that I found myself rooting for Mary Pat right here.
37:28
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
37:30
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
37:30
SPEAKER_02: I I really was like Lisa.
37:32
SPEAKER_00: Because between the two, it's always like between is it could be I don't care who it is.
37:40
SPEAKER_00: And boomer, I'm picking whoever the other person is.
37:44
SPEAKER_02: Like what what what where did my life go wrong?
37:50
SPEAKER_02: Come on, Mary Pat.
37:52
SPEAKER_02: Come on.
37:52
SPEAKER_02: Because when she said what she said, I was like, yes, bitch.
37:57
SPEAKER_02: Yes.
37:58
SPEAKER_00: So when Mary Pat asked about when Mary Pat asked him about Annie, he calls her garbage.
38:04
SPEAKER_00: She's garbage.
38:05
SPEAKER_00: And she goes, Is that why you try to rape her?
38:08
SPEAKER_00: Boom with it launches into the sexual assaulter's oath telling Mary Pat she's a walking billboard for S E X.
38:17
SPEAKER_00: She was asking for it.
38:19
SPEAKER_00: What rape?
38:20
SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
38:21
SPEAKER_02: Yep.
38:22
SPEAKER_02: Clearly.
38:22
SPEAKER_02: Clearly, says every man with a small dick.
38:25
SPEAKER_00: Right.
38:26
SPEAKER_00: In cell vibes, he continues to word vomit by explaining that Annie is a tease and he pushes his buttons.
38:32
SPEAKER_00: And all he was doing was giving her what she he she what she came looking for.
38:38
SPEAKER_02: As soon as a man or a woman starts talking about another woman blaming her for that's it, you're done.
38:48
SPEAKER_02: Your respect is gone.
38:49
SPEAKER_02: Your dick is small.
38:50
SPEAKER_02: If you're a woman, even more shame on you.
38:54
SPEAKER_02: So yeah, Boomer, keep talking.
38:56
SPEAKER_02: Keep showing your ass.
38:58
SPEAKER_00: Mary Pat pulls down the hymnal from her bookshelf, which was recording him the entire time.
39:04
SPEAKER_00: Yep.
39:04
SPEAKER_00: He has the audacity to ask her why she recorded him before telling her he just wants the recording device back.
39:12
SPEAKER_00: She goes, just because you want something doesn't give you the right to take it.
39:18
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
39:19
SPEAKER_00: And he slams the door as he's leaving.
39:23
SPEAKER_00: Annie and Greg are drinking cinnamon schnaps.
39:26
SPEAKER_00: And now I want to try cinnamon schnaps now.
39:28
SPEAKER_00: You never had any?
39:30
SPEAKER_00: No.
39:30
SPEAKER_02: Oh no, I've had uh peppermint.
39:32
SPEAKER_02: I'm thinking of peppermint.
39:34
SPEAKER_00: Um is it kind of like is it like fireball-esque?
39:38
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, probably.
39:39
SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
39:40
SPEAKER_02: Maybe I haven't had any.
39:41
SPEAKER_02: But I was like, at least Mary Pat earns her fucking 10 grand this month.
39:44
SPEAKER_00: I mean She totally did.
39:46
SPEAKER_00: She really did.
39:47
SPEAKER_00: So then the football field bleachers.
39:49
SPEAKER_00: Does everybody hang out at the football field?
39:51
SPEAKER_02: Is that like a I I guess that's yeah.
39:54
SPEAKER_02: I don't I don't know.
39:56
SPEAKER_02: We grew up beating.
39:57
SPEAKER_00: Or here where I live is hanging out like in front of the Dairy Queens during the season that they're open.
40:03
SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, people out here do that.
40:05
SPEAKER_02: In New York City, you hang out at a park.
40:07
SPEAKER_00: Or like on a stoop.
40:08
SPEAKER_00: That's what the first time I got drunk at the park, you know, with the 40.
40:13
SPEAKER_00: Cat the bottle in.
40:14
SPEAKER_02: Twist the cat.
40:15
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
40:15
SPEAKER_02: I mean, yeah, I don't I don't I don't know how other suburban people do it.
40:20
SPEAKER_02: I don't know anybody about that life.
40:22
SPEAKER_00: Annie's feeling a range of emotions about what she witnessed earlier with Sadie and her friends.
40:27
SPEAKER_00: She mostly just feels guilty about keeping Sadie from a school she's that's so clearly accepting.
40:33
SPEAKER_00: She admits that perhaps she's not the only person who knows what's best for her.
40:37
SPEAKER_00: And it's clear that it's and it's clear that it's Annie who's perhaps done the most growing this season, I think.
40:45
SPEAKER_00: But she's still doing Annie though.
40:47
SPEAKER_00: So growth and still being Annie, that's fun times.
40:50
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
40:51
SPEAKER_00: Sarah comes through her surgery with flying colors and is hungry like she has the munchies.
40:56
SPEAKER_00: What was she what did they give her?
40:58
SPEAKER_00: I wonder what kind of anesthesia they gave her.
41:00
SPEAKER_02: I know because I I am not hungry after surgery.
41:04
SPEAKER_02: I am tired and like half nauseous.
41:08
SPEAKER_00: Usually they fill you up with air.
41:10
SPEAKER_02: So the only thing that I've ever looked for after surgery is ginger ale and some pretzels or something.
41:17
SPEAKER_00: Something's for the the nausea.
41:19
SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
41:20
SPEAKER_00: Well, that must be really good.
41:22
SPEAKER_00: She's hungry.
41:23
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, good for well, she's a kid.
41:25
SPEAKER_02: You know, kids are better than adults.
41:26
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
41:27
SPEAKER_00: When I came out of surgery, the first thing I I couldn't even move my head or open my eyes yet, you know?
41:32
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Yeah.
41:34
SPEAKER_00: Was I a good patient?
41:35
SPEAKER_02: Like you were unconscious.
41:40
SPEAKER_02: How could you be a bad patient?
41:42
SPEAKER_00: But that's when my head went straight to.
41:44
SPEAKER_02: Right.
41:46
SPEAKER_00: And then they laughed at me, of course.
41:47
SPEAKER_00: I was like, they're like, yes, you are fine.
41:51
SPEAKER_00: Because you never know, because you know, what I don't know what happened between I lost conscious.
41:55
SPEAKER_00: No, I might have, I don't know.
41:57
SPEAKER_02: Right, but it's always like a relief when your eyes open and you're like, Hey, I'm alive.
42:03
SPEAKER_02: I made it.
42:04
SPEAKER_02: And then they're like, would you like something to eat or to drink?
42:07
SPEAKER_02: Would you like some water or certain coffee?
42:09
SPEAKER_02: And it's like, you know, I love my coffee, but but I'm like, uh, ginger ale.
42:16
SPEAKER_02: Do you want some tea?
42:17
SPEAKER_02: Bluh.
42:20
SPEAKER_02: Ginger rail, please.
42:21
SPEAKER_02: And some crackers, or some pretzels, something like you can't eat anything before.
42:29
SPEAKER_02: So, like, yeah.
42:31
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
42:33
SPEAKER_00: They do try to like feed you.
42:35
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, uh thanks, but no thanks.
42:38
SPEAKER_00: No, right.
42:39
SPEAKER_00: I appreciate it, but no.
42:42
SPEAKER_00: First of all, you say I can't leave until I have a bowel movement or something, or some gas.
42:46
SPEAKER_00: Make sure everything's working, you know.
42:47
SPEAKER_00: Well, at least gas, yeah.
42:48
SPEAKER_00: Oh, gas or something, you know, make sure everything's running.
42:51
SPEAKER_00: I haven't eaten in God knows how many in two.
42:54
SPEAKER_00: No, I couldn't eat for two days before my surgery.
42:56
SPEAKER_00: Oh, really?
42:57
SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
42:58
SPEAKER_00: So two days before my surgery.
42:59
SPEAKER_00: So I had no food, and then everything was still, I still felt full as fuck as the gas.
43:05
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I'm never leaving here.
43:08
SPEAKER_00: I'm never leaving out of here, am I?
43:11
SPEAKER_00: I was walking up and down those halls to push that gas out.
43:14
SPEAKER_00: So they're like, you just had surgery.
43:16
SPEAKER_00: I think I want to go home, and that means I have to walk this, so be it, I will walk.
43:20
SPEAKER_00: Push this shit out.
43:21
SPEAKER_02: I mean, yours, your surgery was definitely way more major than what I've had.
43:26
SPEAKER_00: I forget that it was major surgery.
43:27
SPEAKER_00: Oh, speaking of which, my hair's like at that time, like my hair's definitely growing back.
43:32
SPEAKER_00: So by the end of the year, I should have like a good, like, I should be able to feel the difference.
43:36
SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited.
43:36
SPEAKER_02: You think it'll be longer than mine?
43:38
SPEAKER_00: Hell fucking no.
43:41
SPEAKER_00: Last time my hair was that long, I think when I was I've never seen you with hair that long.
43:48
SPEAKER_00: Um, my hair got the not even kids.
43:53
SPEAKER_00: I don't remember being here.
43:58
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
43:59
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
43:59
SPEAKER_00: Like the the the back of my bra has always been that long.
44:04
SPEAKER_00: And then used to yeah.
44:05
SPEAKER_00: And after crisp it got a little bit longer.
44:08
SPEAKER_00: But then I cut it, and then after I cut it, it just never grew back.
44:11
SPEAKER_00: I was like, fuck.
44:13
SPEAKER_00: Like it never got that.
44:15
SPEAKER_00: I didn't expect it to go long, but I never it never went back to where it was before.
44:19
SPEAKER_02: I was like, if I like I I'm always like, no matter how I picture you, your hair is always.
44:25
SPEAKER_02: Like around here, like shoulder length.
44:27
SPEAKER_02: It was layered.
44:28
SPEAKER_02: Like a half.
44:29
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I know.
44:30
SPEAKER_02: But like even in school, like growing up, it was it was never like much longer.
44:35
SPEAKER_00: No.
44:36
SPEAKER_02: So it's always it's always like that.
44:38
SPEAKER_02: In my in my mind's eye.
44:40
SPEAKER_00: I c I don't know why I cut my hair.
44:42
SPEAKER_00: I just won't you go back?
44:44
SPEAKER_00: Why would and I wasn't older, but I cut my hair, I was like, oh, early third before I got sick.
44:49
SPEAKER_00: So I was still young enough for you know that your hair should grow.
44:53
SPEAKER_00: No, it said, fuck you, we're gonna stop here now.
44:55
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, you?
44:56
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
44:57
SPEAKER_00: Bite me.
45:00
SPEAKER_00: At the certain age, your hair, you know, this you know, like different cycles.
45:04
SPEAKER_00: Usually your hair grows when you're younger.
45:05
SPEAKER_00: It's just, yeah, no, fuck you.
45:07
SPEAKER_02: The only thing my hair has done is the the color has gotten darker over the years.
45:12
SPEAKER_02: And I mean, over my life, it's changed.
45:15
SPEAKER_02: Like it's gotten darker, it's gotten lighter, it's gotten from curly to straight back to curly.
45:22
SPEAKER_02: Um, but but never like not grow.
45:26
SPEAKER_00: I hate you.
45:27
SPEAKER_00: You know what?
45:28
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna end this episode now.
45:29
SPEAKER_02: Okay, well, this is it for season one.
45:31
SPEAKER_02: Five.
45:32
SPEAKER_00: This is the it this is it's that's it's zips.
45:34
SPEAKER_00: Okay, um Oh, okay.
45:36
SPEAKER_00: Why do you guys break up?
45:37
SPEAKER_00: Because their hair grows and mine doesn't.
45:42
SPEAKER_00: Ruby and Stan go in search of Jell-O for her, and Stan tells her when they're outside Sarah's room, that the feds and the and Detroit police department took down Eddie's gang.
45:54
SPEAKER_00: Ruby pretends to be surprised as Stan asks her what to do.
45:58
SPEAKER_00: Before she can respond, he tells her how they wouldn't have found out about the money laundering if two women hadn't robbed the store a couple nights ago.
46:09
SPEAKER_00: The same night she was supposed to be heading to corporate with Beth.
46:14
SPEAKER_00: When Ruby asks him how he thinks she could ever do that, he especially somberly answers Your face right now.
46:25
SPEAKER_00: She tells him that they had no choice before he reminds her that she asks her what would it take for him to walk out the door.
46:33
SPEAKER_00: You know the answer and you did it anyway.
46:36
SPEAKER_00: That hurt.
46:39
SPEAKER_00: Dan has a way of like when he found out that she was fired and tell him, like his disappointment cuts like a fucking knife.
46:51
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
46:52
SPEAKER_00: It's that whole, I'm not mad, I'm disappointed.
46:55
SPEAKER_00: Disappointed?
46:56
SPEAKER_00: And I'm just like, oh.
46:58
SPEAKER_00: In the final scene, the sea in the final scene of the season, Beth comes home to hear Rio's voice shout, hey honey, I'm home.
47:07
SPEAKER_00: Beth is like, fuck me.
47:10
SPEAKER_00: As Beth enters the dining room, she sees broken furniture and a mildly beaten Rio sitting at the head of a table with the severely beaten Dean next to him.
47:20
SPEAKER_00: Dean did, you know, he tried, he did his, you know, he didn't go on like a punk.
47:25
SPEAKER_02: And I'm thinking at this point, I am like, Beth, you might consider yourself lucky.
47:31
SPEAKER_02: Because the fuck were you thinking?
47:35
SPEAKER_00: Because if you're gonna take a lead, you gotta take them out so they don't come back.
47:40
SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, kill them.
47:41
SPEAKER_00: You can't Right.
47:42
SPEAKER_00: You come for the king, you better not miss.
47:44
SPEAKER_00: Dean's hands are tied behind him, and Rio has him by the neck.
47:49
SPEAKER_00: Beth asks Rio to let Dean go, but he tells her, You can't even handle blood.
47:56
SPEAKER_00: That's what all this is, right?
47:58
SPEAKER_00: You got big plans, but see, you didn't think it all the way through.
48:03
SPEAKER_00: You want to be the king, you gotta kill the king.
48:06
SPEAKER_00: Lisa was watching.
48:08
SPEAKER_02: I was.
48:09
SPEAKER_02: And, you know, on any other day, right?
48:11
SPEAKER_02: Walking into your house and Rio saying, honey, I'm home, might have been welcome.
48:15
SPEAKER_02: Not today.
48:16
SPEAKER_00: I mean, even okay, honestly, even knowing what I did as Beth, and still hearing, I still like, maybe I can get a little mm-hm before he shoots me.
48:25
SPEAKER_00: You know.
48:30
SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm off of the road.
48:32
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
48:33
SPEAKER_00: She begs him not to kill them, and he starts to cruelly laugh.
48:37
SPEAKER_00: That was an evil laugh, though.
48:38
SPEAKER_00: That even that laugh, his laugh scared me more than anything he could have said or done thus far.
48:44
SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
48:45
SPEAKER_00: He's like, I'm not gonna kill anybody.
48:48
SPEAKER_00: You are.
48:49
SPEAKER_00: Then he cocks his gun and slides it down the length of the table in her direction.
48:54
SPEAKER_00: So what you think?
48:55
SPEAKER_02: She grabbed it like that was a fucking chicken thigh, and she hadn't eaten in a week, the way she grabbed up that gun.
49:01
SPEAKER_00: I'm so proud of her for doing that.
49:02
SPEAKER_00: So he goes, What do you think?
49:03
SPEAKER_00: You got what it takes?
49:04
SPEAKER_00: That was sloppy.
49:06
SPEAKER_02: She should have grabbed it, but like not so s like a floppy fish.
49:12
SPEAKER_00: I mean, let's be real.
49:15
SPEAKER_00: Do you really think Rio's gonna give her a loaded gun?
49:20
SPEAKER_00: I know that he might shoot her.
49:22
SPEAKER_00: He might shoot.
49:22
SPEAKER_00: I was I was a little torn with this.
49:25
SPEAKER_00: She he knowing that she might shoot him.
49:28
SPEAKER_00: Termin pronouns are hard today.
49:30
SPEAKER_02: I I was very torn, I'll be honest, because there was most parts of me that was like, that fucking gun is definitely not loaded because in the off chance she shoots him.
49:47
SPEAKER_02: But this is Rio we're talking about.
49:51
SPEAKER_02: And Rio is a gambler.
49:53
SPEAKER_02: He's also sh seems to be strangely intrigued by Beth.
50:00
SPEAKER_02: And who knows what his contingency plan is.
50:06
SPEAKER_02: You know, the the the episode cuts off there.
50:09
SPEAKER_02: So for all we know, he's like, um, you got a loaded gun in your hand, but you need to kill Dean.
50:17
SPEAKER_02: And if you kill me, you'll never see your children again.
50:21
SPEAKER_02: I'm just saying, like, we don't know, you know, I don't know.
50:26
SPEAKER_02: I don't remember.
50:27
SPEAKER_02: Just because I saw this like five years ago, I know you say that, but I don't remember.
50:32
SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm just saying, right, like so there is a part, like the biggest part of me immediately was like, this fucking gun is not loaded.
50:38
SPEAKER_02: He's just handing it to her to see if she'll do it.
50:42
SPEAKER_02: But it might be loaded because he might have a contingency plan.
50:46
SPEAKER_02: Because if there's one thing that we know about Rio, it's that he is not stupid.
50:50
SPEAKER_02: He no he's no dummy.
50:52
SPEAKER_02: So, and he definitely, you know, it's like speak softly, carry a big stick.
51:02
SPEAKER_02: It's it's that kind of vibe.
51:04
SPEAKER_02: So he doesn't need to threaten her with a gun.
51:09
SPEAKER_02: He can threaten her with his words, and it still carries.
51:14
SPEAKER_02: So I don't know.
51:15
SPEAKER_02: I don't know what's gonna happen.
51:17
SPEAKER_02: I don't know what he wants her to do, but I'm like, so is it time to watch the next episode yet?
51:26
SPEAKER_02: No, but I think that she is so fucking dumb because here's here's my thing, right?
51:35
SPEAKER_02: In the first episode, they robbed a store.
51:40
SPEAKER_02: Rio already knew it was them.
51:44
SPEAKER_02: How did Rio know?
51:46
SPEAKER_02: And we know that Boomer didn't tell him or at least the all the information that we have, Boomer seems to not know him because he's like, Mr.
51:59
SPEAKER_02: FBI, here's this guy, and so like I just feel like it would it would be the dumbest fucking thing in the world if Boomer actually knows him and then whatever.
52:09
SPEAKER_02: Knowing that Rio found you once when all you did was steal his money, now you are deliberately sending him to jail.
52:27
SPEAKER_02: How did you think that this was gonna play out?
52:30
SPEAKER_02: I mean, it just seems like really, really fucking stupid.
52:35
SPEAKER_02: And the fact two women knew what was going on here, of course Rio was gonna put two and two to fucking gather.
52:47
SPEAKER_00: But I guess they figured, oh, he's gonna go to jail, we're never have to worry about it again.
52:52
SPEAKER_00: Like, that's not how it works.
52:55
SPEAKER_00: Even if he did was even if he didn't get out on whatever reason I'm saying bail, whatever, right?
53:01
SPEAKER_00: Even if he hadn't gotten out, he will still be able to take you out behind bars.
53:06
SPEAKER_00: Just saying.
53:09
SPEAKER_02: But you were in trouble when he quote fired you, bitch.
53:15
SPEAKER_02: Honey.
53:17
SPEAKER_02: Honey shot, buddy, honey.
53:19
SPEAKER_02: Honey, honey.
53:23
SPEAKER_00: Oh, Alex, that that both of us would unnerve, but it bothered me.
53:28
SPEAKER_00: And then I'm like, I'm not gonna say nothing.
53:29
SPEAKER_00: Then Alex is something like, oh thank god.
53:31
SPEAKER_00: I just thought it was me.
53:34
SPEAKER_00: I'm sitting there eating my white castle.
53:37
unknown: Yeah.
53:39
SPEAKER_02: Okay, I don't have anything else, though.
53:40
SPEAKER_02: I'm just ready for the next season.
53:42
SPEAKER_02: I'm just like, okay, what's next?
53:46
SPEAKER_00: What about you?
53:48
SPEAKER_00: Um, that's it.
53:50
SPEAKER_00: I'm excited for season two.
53:52
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
53:56
SPEAKER_02: Sassinsips.com.
53:58
SPEAKER_02: Drink responsibly.
54:00
SPEAKER_02: Don't drink and drive.
54:01
SPEAKER_02: And until next time and next season, I'm Lisa.
54:05
SPEAKER_00: And I'm Agnes.
54:07
SPEAKER_02: And we're out of here.
54:08
SPEAKER_00: See you later.
54:09
SPEAKER_00: Bye.
54:17
unknown: Lose control.
54:20
SPEAKER_02: Baby, baby.
54:23
unknown: Okay.
54:24
SPEAKER_02: When I look in your eyes, I go crazy.
54:28
SPEAKER_02: Fever's high with the lights down low.
54:32
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
54:33
SPEAKER_02: Keep this feeling alive.
54:36
SPEAKER_01: Make me lose control.
54:40
SPEAKER_02: I'm really done now.
54:44
SPEAKER_01: Odd car, on car No.
54:47
SPEAKER_00: Fuck.
54:48
SPEAKER_00: Shit.
54:49
SPEAKER_00: We have to leave that in there, you know that, right?
54:51
SPEAKER_00: We'll see.
