Federal Regulators Pressed to Examine Epstein’s Financial Network (8/5/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. When most people hear the name Jeffrey Epstein,
• 0:08
Speaker 1: they think about the disgusting and sadistic things that he
• 0:12
Speaker 1: did to young women and girls, and rightfully so, that
• 0:16
Speaker 1: should always be the foremost thought. But we also have
• 0:19
Speaker 1: to understand that there was a lot more going on
• 0:22
Speaker 1: than just the abuse of those women and girls, and
• 0:26
Speaker 1: a lot of it had to do with financial malfeasance.
• 0:29
Speaker 1: And considering the scope of that malfeasance and how many
• 0:32
Speaker 1: people were involved financially with them, it's no wonder that
• 0:35
Speaker 1: the government avoided using RICO, because if they would have
• 0:39
Speaker 1: hit him with RICO, everybody would have been caught up.
• 0:41
Speaker 1: Everybody that ever sent them money, anybody that ever received money, well,
• 0:46
Speaker 1: now they're a part of the Rico conspiracy, right knowingly
• 0:50
Speaker 1: or unknowingly, and under normal circumstances, that's enough for the
• 0:54
Speaker 1: government to freeze your account. I know it sounds crazy,
• 0:59
Speaker 1: but it's true. If you get caught up in some
• 1:01
Speaker 1: kind of RICO investigation, it's usually lights out. Most normal
• 1:05
Speaker 1: people end up pleting right, even people with great lawyers
• 1:10
Speaker 1: end up pleading because it's almost impossible to beat rico
• 1:14
Speaker 1: charges when they're brought by the federal government, and when
• 1:18
Speaker 1: you have somebody like Jeffrey Epstein who was manipulating many
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: different sectors. I don't think there's ever been a situation
• 1:27
Speaker 1: that called for rico more than the situation with Epstein,
• 1:30
Speaker 1: And as we continue to move forward and learn more,
• 1:33
Speaker 1: it's rather obvious that this man was running a gigantic
• 1:38
Speaker 1: money wandering operation. Today we have an article from Reuters
• 1:42
Speaker 1: and the headline US Senator Widen urges regulators to probe
• 1:46
Speaker 1: Wall Street banks over Epstein accounts. This article was authored
• 1:50
Speaker 1: by Reuter's staff. US Democratic Senator Ron Wyden called for
• 1:56
Speaker 1: federal regulators to probe big banks over their handling of
• 2:00
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's accounts after servicing what Wyden said was potential
• 2:04
Speaker 1: evidence that the banks failed to report suspicious transactions link
• 2:08
Speaker 1: to the late convicted sex offender. They did. We've already
• 2:13
Speaker 1: established this. We've had people from Finston tell us this.
• 2:18
Speaker 1: So this isn't some breaking news. This isn't something that
• 2:22
Speaker 1: has just shown up. But I'm glad it's getting some
• 2:24
Speaker 1: traction because if you want to get to the bottom
• 2:27
Speaker 1: of what was going on, there is a surefire away
• 2:30
Speaker 1: to get there. Follow the money. I know sounds very
• 2:33
Speaker 1: easy and basic, right, But what that does is it
• 2:36
Speaker 1: gives you a roadmap. And we're not talking about witnesses
• 2:40
Speaker 1: who lose their memory or might change their story. Right.
• 2:45
Speaker 1: The money trail is the money trail. There's no disputing it.
• 2:49
Speaker 1: It is what it is, and that's why any serious
• 2:51
Speaker 1: investigation of somebody like Jeffrey Epstein starts with the money trail.
• 2:57
Speaker 1: In a report released on Tuesday, Widen the ledge that
• 3:00
Speaker 1: Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, and JP Morgan Chase may
• 3:04
Speaker 1: have violated federal anti money laundering laws by failing to
• 3:07
Speaker 1: report Epstein's suspicious transactions in a timely manner. While I'd
• 3:11
Speaker 1: say so, these rotten sons of bitches didn't send those
• 3:16
Speaker 1: stars until Epstein was arrested. So who made that decision?
• 3:21
Speaker 1: Was it somebody in compliance? Was it Jess Daily, Was
• 3:24
Speaker 1: it Jamie Diamond? Who was it? We still don't know,
• 3:28
Speaker 1: and unfortunately, I doubt we'll ever know. Widen's four year
• 3:33
Speaker 1: investigation included a review of so called suspicious activity reports,
• 3:37
Speaker 1: which banks file to the Treasury Department, materials from lawsuits
• 3:41
Speaker 1: and court filings, and information the Senator sought from Wall
• 3:45
Speaker 1: Street banks and the US Treasury. And look, of course
• 3:49
Speaker 1: Widen has his own issues. His son was reaching out
• 3:52
Speaker 1: to Epstein trying to enjoy Jeffrey Epstein's charity as well.
• 3:57
Speaker 1: So look, it's a sordid circle we got going on here.
• 4:01
Speaker 1: But does that mean that Senator Widen and this investigation
• 4:04
Speaker 1: should be discounted. I don't think so, because he's on
• 4:07
Speaker 1: the right trail. And I think that if you really
• 4:12
Speaker 1: want to find out who is responsible, at least financially speaking,
• 4:17
Speaker 1: then you have to start here. Bank of America failed
• 4:21
Speaker 1: to properly screen and report one hundred and seventy million
• 4:24
Speaker 1: in payments to Ebstein, Wyden's report said, adding that the
• 4:27
Speaker 1: bank years later concluded in Suspicious Activity reports that the
• 4:31
Speaker 1: transactions had no verifiable business purpose. I dare you to
• 4:36
Speaker 1: try that. See how quickly you get debanked. They will
• 4:40
Speaker 1: deplatform you so quickly that it make your head spin.
• 4:44
Speaker 1: And God forbid, you have money in your account. Now
• 4:46
Speaker 1: you've got to go through a song and dance to
• 4:48
Speaker 1: get your money out. But one hundred and seventy million
• 4:50
Speaker 1: in suspicious movements and withdrawals, deposits, et cetera, no big deal.
• 4:56
Speaker 1: And why does that Well, you know why, because they're
• 5:00
Speaker 1: making a grip of dough with a guy like Epstein.
• 5:03
Speaker 1: That's it. That's the whole story. Profit over people. We
• 5:08
Speaker 1: take our legal and regulatory obligation seriously, and as we
• 5:12
Speaker 1: have previously said, the bank did not facilitate wrongdoing. A
• 5:16
Speaker 1: Bank of America spokesperson said, no, not at all. Everything's
• 5:19
Speaker 1: on the up and up. Bank of America would never
• 5:22
Speaker 1: bank somebody like Epstein to the tune of one hundred
• 5:24
Speaker 1: and seventy million and not report it right right. Deutsche
• 5:30
Speaker 1: Bank failed to report on time more than two hundred
• 5:32
Speaker 1: and fifty million in suspicious wire transfers tied to Epstein,
• 5:36
Speaker 1: including payments to women in Russia and other parts of
• 5:39
Speaker 1: Eastern Europe. The report said, Oh, they thought they'd get
• 5:42
Speaker 1: away with it, and that was the whole reason that
• 5:43
Speaker 1: Epstein started getting women from Eastern Europe. He thought that
• 5:47
Speaker 1: that was going to be the move that nobody was
• 5:49
Speaker 1: gonna be the wiser, right, nobody would care. Well, mister Epstein,
• 5:53
Speaker 1: guess what people care. A spokesperson to the bank said
• 5:56
Speaker 1: that was false. We began flagging suspicious transactions for the
• 6:00
Speaker 1: government as early as two thousand and two and throughout
• 6:02
Speaker 1: our relationship, even after we closed his accounts. She said,
• 6:06
Speaker 1: we acted appropriately on what we knew when we knew it,
• 6:10
Speaker 1: as the law requires. I guess we'll have to see right.
• 6:13
Speaker 1: I have my doubts these banks never act appropriately, at
• 6:17
Speaker 1: least not wanting to concern Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein was a
• 6:20
Speaker 1: JP Morgan client from nineteen ninety eight until the bank
• 6:23
Speaker 1: cut him off in twenty thirteen, years after he pleaded
• 6:27
Speaker 1: guilty to prostitution related charges. Deutsche took him in as
• 6:31
Speaker 1: a client in twenty thirteen after JP Morgan closed his accounts. Well,
• 6:36
Speaker 1: they never met a scumbag that didn't like over there.
• 6:39
Speaker 1: I mean, how many cartel members, how many you know,
• 6:43
Speaker 1: human traffickers or oligarchs have had accounts at Deutsche Bank.
• 6:50
Speaker 1: We have cooperated with regulatory and law enforcement agencies regarding
• 6:53
Speaker 1: their investigations and have been transparent in addressing deficiencies and
• 6:58
Speaker 1: investing in strengthening our control environment. In parallel, a Deutsche
• 7:02
Speaker 1: Bank spokesperson said Reuters couldn't verify the details of the report,
• 7:07
Speaker 1: of course not. Don't question us. We're doing a full
• 7:10
Speaker 1: internal investigation. We're gonna investigate ourselves and we're gonna have
• 7:16
Speaker 1: a timely report ready for you. That's the kind of
• 7:19
Speaker 1: bullshit we've heard time and time again, and every single
• 7:23
Speaker 1: time it turns out the same way. Garbage, trash, disgusting,
• 7:29
Speaker 1: a complete whitewash. Have any of these internal investigations turned
• 7:34
Speaker 1: up anything that they should have turned up? Of course
• 7:36
Speaker 1: they haven't. An administration official said, Treasury doesn't comment on investigations,
• 7:42
Speaker 1: including to confirm or deny whether one exists. Treasury has
• 7:46
Speaker 1: fully cooperated with valid requests for information from Congress, the
• 7:50
Speaker 1: official said, yeah, I'm sure they have. I'm sure they
• 7:53
Speaker 1: haven't dragged their feet at all. Remember Treasury's run by who.
• 7:57
Speaker 1: That's right, Donald Trump. And we all know that Donald
• 8:00
Speaker 1: Trump has no desire for transparency when it comes to Epstein.
• 8:04
Speaker 1: Epstein died in the Manhattan jel cell in August of
• 8:07
Speaker 1: twenty nineteen while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. His
• 8:12
Speaker 1: death was ruled a suicide by New York City's medical examiner,
• 8:16
Speaker 1: which was disputed by the way by mister Bowden, and
• 8:21
Speaker 1: that ruling of a suicide was delayed. They had to
• 8:26
Speaker 1: go through the whole process. They didn't have any idea
• 8:29
Speaker 1: at first what had happened, right, But all of a
• 8:32
Speaker 1: sudden they were sure sure that it was suicide. Again,
• 8:36
Speaker 1: I don't buy it, at least not the way they're
• 8:38
Speaker 1: selling it. If Jeffrey Epstein did commit some kind of
• 8:42
Speaker 1: self harm, then I think he did that after a
• 8:45
Speaker 1: message was passed to him by Nicholas S. Tartaglione, listen,
• 8:50
Speaker 1: you do it or we will look how easy it
• 8:52
Speaker 1: was for me to get in this cell with you.
• 8:55
Speaker 1: Then Epstein thinks, you know what, that's it. I'm burned.
• 8:58
Speaker 1: My days of being an asset are long over. So
• 9:01
Speaker 1: it's time for me to go, especially considering we knew
• 9:04
Speaker 1: what a state of mind was according to other people
• 9:06
Speaker 1: that were around them. Nobody said he was suicidal. All
• 9:09
Speaker 1: of a sudden he commit suicide. Okay, I guess. Widen
• 9:14
Speaker 1: is one of several lawmakers probing Epstein's relationships on Wall Street.
• 9:19
Speaker 1: Lawmakers on the US Congress House Oversight Committee also last
• 9:22
Speaker 1: month her a testimony from Goldman Sachs, former top lawyer
• 9:26
Speaker 1: Kathy Rumler, and former Barclays CEO Jess Daley over their
• 9:31
Speaker 1: dealings with Epstein. Both have said they were unaware of
• 9:34
Speaker 1: Epstein's crimes. Which they're lying about. Sorry, I don't believe them.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: They knew that Jeffrey Epstein was a registered sex offender.
• 9:42
Speaker 1: That didn't stop them. They kept on rolling right along, right, Oh,
• 9:46
Speaker 1: uncle Jeffy, Oh snow White. Oh can I come to
• 9:50
Speaker 1: the island so they can screw right off with the
• 9:53
Speaker 1: whole I had no idea shit save that for people
• 9:56
Speaker 1: that have no idea what they're talking about. So, look,
• 10:00
Speaker 1: I think that Senator Widen is on the right path here.
• 10:03
Speaker 1: Is he going to get the cooperation he needs? Is
• 10:05
Speaker 1: he going to have people at Treasury work with him?
• 10:08
Speaker 1: Are they going to be willing to turn over the
• 10:10
Speaker 1: information that's needed? While considering how the federal government has
• 10:14
Speaker 1: treated this up till now, I'm not very confident. But
• 10:17
Speaker 1: maybe with all the extra pressure and all of the
• 10:20
Speaker 1: newfound interest around the topic, they'll be forced to act
• 10:23
Speaker 1: this time. So we'll have to see what goes down
• 10:26
Speaker 1: as far as chasing the money trail, and we'll see
• 10:29
Speaker 1: where it all ends up. All the information that goes
• 10:33
Speaker 1: with this episode can be found in the description box.
