Finney-Smith Heads to Charlotte | Florida Gator Basketball News
Dorian Finney-Smith is headed to Charlotte in a savvy trade that clears $13M for Houston while bolstering Charlotte’s future with draft picks and talent like Naz Reid. After a quiet, low-minute season with the Rockets — where his role diminished amid frontcourt depth — Finney-Smith, a 10-year vet who earned SEC Sixth Man of the Year at Florida, seeks a bigger impact. The move fits Houston’s roster optimization and Charlotte’s rebuild, turning a quiet veteran into a potential key piece as both teams strategically position for the next chapter.
