- 2:22Goody will be with us a little bit later in the show.
- 2:24He's coaching some baseball. It's pouring over there in
- 2:27Florida. And ladies and gentlemen, it yet
- 2:30again, it is pouring here in Long Island.
- 2:33Not too bad right now. But throughout the week, from
- 2:36Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and possibly Friday, we're going to
- 2:39have rain. It's been humid, it's been
- 2:41disgusting, it's been sticky. I hate it.
- 2:44And ladies and gentlemen, This is why I could never live in
- 2:49Florida. You've heard it from me, I can
- 2:51never live in Florida. I can't stand the Florida
- 2:54weather. And it's becoming that problem
- 2:58here in New York, as it always does throughout the summer.
- 3:01Jabba, what's going on? How is the weather in the one
- 3:04and only Nebraska? It's fantastic right now.
- 3:09What's fantastic? What is it?
- 3:1190 degrees 95° and mugging. Disgusting we are at Hold on,
- 3:15let me, let me is the. Corn growing in the the the.
- 3:18See what we got right now? Let me see what we got.
- 3:21You don't even know what the weather is over there.
- 3:23It's like. 85 No idea. 85 Oh, we're 95 right now.
- 3:28So it's 85 humidity here in Long Island.
- 3:32It's probably 9293. It's just muggy, disgusting.
- 3:36You're in the strong. Yeah, the strong.
- 3:38It's just. Yeah, strong friggin island as
- 3:42we all call it over here. I don't know how strong it is,
- 3:45but we all know the wine is good over here.
- 3:46But I, I should be drinking after all the stuff that's
- 3:49happened to me over the last couple of days.
- 3:51But nevertheless, I was at an event last night.
- 3:54Well yesterday enjoyed the the interesting weather on the beach
- 3:59and and got a chance to speak to different people and we might be
- 4:02able to do a live show. Well, no, no athletes, no movie
- 4:06stars, but a couple of owners of big businesses and he liked my
- 4:12little pitch. And we might be able to do a
- 4:13live show at an. Unbelievable event.
- 4:17Did you give him a business card?
- 4:18Yes, I gave him a business card. I had a little bit of fun
- 4:21conversations with him, told him a little bit about the show.
- 4:24He's my I didn't send it out to him yet.
- 4:26I got to send him the show right now.
- 4:27I didn't get a chance because I've been SO.
- 4:29I got to do that. I got to do that too.
- 4:31Sorry the media, I haven't done it yet.
- 4:33It's it's been very, very busy for the one and only me and I'm
- 4:37actually sending the show out to him as we speak so there you go
- 4:42he's got it now as well and I will say this for all the fans
- 4:46out there that have never tuned into this show, well, shame on
- 4:49you. This is a very unique show with
- 4:51a lot of comedy, a lot of sports conversation.
- 4:55We. Do go out and beat.
- 4:56And I'm, I'm going to tell you, Earl, I'm going to be probably a
- 5:00little remissed in the first, but Carter's pitching tonight,
- 5:04so I'm I'm gonna be watching him.
- 5:07Alright, well, you, you do what you gotta do.
- 5:08It's your son and obviously. Hey, if you wanna watch, watch
- 5:12my son pitch Game Changer Hudson Monarchs.
- 5:16Yeah, well, I listen if I could do now I'm multitask on this
- 5:20show, but. I don't know.
- 5:22I have three screens. I have three screens right now.
- 5:24I. Can't do that.
- 5:25Hosting a show, I don't have that ability.
- 5:27So I, I mean, I can look at my nails and make sure they're
- 5:30clean after taking a shower. I'll pop on the television,
- 5:33watch a little bit of sports, which is really nothing on
- 5:36television. There's no basketball, there's a
- 5:38little bit of baseball. We have the All Star game what
- 5:41we have the home run. Derby.
- 5:42No, we just have the Derby. They're the Derby's tonight, so
- 5:45we'll get a chance to watch the baseball.
- 5:46I I will put it on a little bit in a little bit, Speedy, because
- 5:49you don't know how to use the system, you don't know how to
- 5:51use anything. As we all know, Speedy likes to
- 5:54think that he knows how to use things in any kind.
- 5:57Of but we love. We love Speedy.
- 5:58Well, sometimes there are things that he does that makes me just
- 6:01absolutely annoyed. Well, you have to deal with him
- 6:03more than I. Do well, you don't have to see
- 6:05him. I got to see him every freaking
- 6:07day and then I have my girlfriend crying to me that you
- 6:10know that you see him more than you see me.
- 6:12So I I got to deal with her crush.
- 6:14Too Britney's beautiful shut up. Well, she can be and she could
- 6:18also be very dark. And if anybody that doesn't know
- 6:20who Brittany, well watch out. She could probably if you fall
- 6:23asleep right in front of Brittany and she doesn't like
- 6:25you, she'll cut your head off. She'll either bite your head off
- 6:28or cut your head. Off and feed you to now.
- 6:30I mean, that's, well, not that kind of head.
- 6:32I mean she's not Lorena Bobbitt and if she is Lorena Bobbitt,
- 6:35good luck for her. I cuz I'm I'm making sure that
- 6:38I'm wearing a chastity belt or something around.
- 6:40That means your Dick's out on the fucking Rd.
- 6:43Well, I it might be. I mean, you made my sausage.
- 6:47You know, we're trying to keep it PG right now, and it's a
- 6:50little bit later in the show, but yeah.
- 6:52Or rated G. Right now, because the kids are
- 6:54still going until you get going until you.
- 6:57Well, I do get going and when I get going, I mean, I don't like
- 7:00I could last a little bit or I could just, you know, it could
- 7:03just come and flatten, you know, do a lot of other things and and
- 7:06annoy a lot of people while I'm doing it.
- 7:08As all over social media, people get washed away with what I have
- 7:12to say on some of these topics. But nevertheless, I'm here to
- 7:15entertain people. I will say something for all the
- 7:17fans out there that like to laugh and like to see crazy
- 7:21things. I saw something very unique
- 7:24today and I have seen a lot of unique things over the years but
- 7:29this one really just had my eyes turning and had everybody else
- 7:33including 25 Middle Country Rd. stopping.
- 7:38I, I don't know where this guy was coming from but he was
- 7:40practically naked and he ran across the street.
- 7:44He looked like he was running from something today.
- 7:46I didn't see a dog, I didn't see anything.
- 7:49It looked like he came out of the shower he was wearing.
- 7:51He was really nothing. He was practically butt, you
- 7:54know butt ass naked running across the street here on 25 in
- 7:57Selden, NY. I don't know what happened to
- 8:00the guy, but I stopped and I was shocked because I was at the
- 8:03light and I see this guy running across the street in the middle
- 8:06of traffic. And you just when you think you
- 8:10haven't seen it all, I've seen it.
- 8:12I've seen somebody lay on a railroad butt ass naked with
- 8:16his, you know, you know what his nuts hanging out and wondering
- 8:19if a train's going to run him over.
- 8:21This was like a couple of years ago.
- 8:22It, it was crazy because I was just about to finish up what I
- 8:26was doing. I'm seeing this guy run across
- 8:27the street. I mean, he not only stopped
- 8:30traffic, he shocked a lot of people, including the cops that
- 8:33were going after. And you see, I don't know what
- 8:35was going on, but somebody was after him.
- 8:38So I don't know. It was very, very weird.
- 8:40But nevertheless, I, I'm a little lost in some of the
- 8:43things that I see here in Long Island, New York.
- 8:45It's a little crazy. Speaking of crazy, the MLB All
- 8:48Star Game festivities begin tonight with the Home Run Derby,
- 8:52which everybody can't wait for. All Star Game is tomorrow.
- 8:56Ronald, it's your favorite. It's your favorite.
- 8:58It is. It's the best part of the All
- 8:59Star Game. Ronald Acuna dropped out of the
- 9:02Home Run Derby with a back tightness, which obviously that
- 9:06was your guy Jabba. So they added the one and only
- 9:10Braves Matt Olson to replace him.
- 9:13First baseman Matt Olson in the first round of the players will
- 9:18have 3 minutes of 40 pitches to hit as many home runs as they
- 9:23can and we'll get a bonus time. It will get bonus time if they
- 9:27don't get. Out.
- 9:29Three times they don't get out. Three times in the second round,
- 9:33players advancing will be receded with where number one
- 9:38will face the number 4 #2 will race #3 to advance the finals.
- 9:43Cal Cal Relay is the betting favorite to follow, followed by
- 9:47O'Neill Cruz, James Wood and Jazz Jism in the biggest long
- 9:53shot to win. Tarika Screwball was named
- 9:56American League Pitch a starting pitcher tomorrow and Paul Skins.
- 10:00All the guys that I said we're going to be named are named
- 10:03starting pitcher for the American League of National
- 10:04League. Screwball also asked Max Freed
- 10:07if he wanted to be the star, having pitched for Atlanta for
- 10:11many years. But Freed Reed said that
- 10:14Scrabble deserved to be the starter because he's the best
- 10:17pitcher right now in baseball. The American League has won ten
- 10:20of the last 11 All Star Games, with the National Leagues only
- 10:25when coming in 2023. Now, obviously everybody can't
- 10:29wait until the Home Run Derby. I'm one of those guys that
- 10:31enjoys it. The festivities, really the
- 10:34build up of it, and then you're getting a chance to see some of
- 10:37the best home run hitters in baseball.
- 10:39It's fun. What I don't like is how they
- 10:43bring it all together and some of these guys now O'Neill Cruz
- 10:47is, is going to be a sensational player as we see him.
- 10:50He's a young player growing as as a Major League player.
- 10:53His body hasn't even be fully grown.
- 10:55And what is he, 2324 years old? He's a kid.
- 10:57James Wood, he's 22 years old. Jazz Chisholm is one of the
- 11:00veteran veterans in this his Home Run Derby.
- 11:04And obviously Raleigh is a is a guy that is a catching
- 11:07phenomenon who's having a great season.
- 11:09He's going to be the starting catcher for the United States
- 11:13baseball team in the World Baseball Classic in the
- 11:16offseason. So that'll be fun to watch to
- 11:18see this team, the way they're loading this team up.
- 11:21Team USA. We haven't seen a loaded Team
- 11:23USA play in the World Baseball Classic in a very long time.
- 11:26Aaron Judge will be the the captain of Team USA, But I, I
- 11:30want to see guys like Aaron Judge or Giancarlo Stanton,
- 11:34those power hitters. I want to see the best hitters,
- 11:37the best home runner, home run hitters in baseball.
- 11:39Otani show Otani, who's been in the Home Run Derby a couple of
- 11:42years. How about Pete Alonso?
- 11:43Why isn't Pete Alonso back in the Home Run Derby?
- 11:46He's won, I think two or three. So you want to see those guys.
- 11:49You want to see the best home run power hitters in baseball.
- 11:52The problem is, as we've heard over the years, the Home Run
- 11:55Derby of the Home Run Derby hurts the power hitters when
- 11:58they they, they play in the Home Run Derby, they don't hit as
- 12:01many home runs after it because you're putting, obviously
- 12:05you're, you're wearing yourself out, you're putting a lot of
- 12:07power in the Home Run Derby and it scares a lot of coaches.
- 12:10It scares a lot of managers and team execs because they don't
- 12:13want to see these guys in the second-half of the season, you
- 12:16know, die down. I've seen it over the years.
- 12:18It's. Been, but are are we going to
- 12:20say it the same way too? Is exactly like what Juan Soto
- 12:23said. He's like, I'm, I'm losing out
- 12:25on money. Well, again, I don't know how
- 12:28much you make in the Home Run Derby.
- 12:29I what is it $100,000? Did did you not see what it is?
- 12:34No, for the Home Run Derby, I want soda.
- 12:36Wants no. Want Soda wants to play in the
- 12:38All Star game? I'm talking about the Home Run
- 12:39Derby. What I'm talking, that's just
- 12:40his bonus, but I'm saying those guys that do it it it's
- 12:461,000,000 bucks. What to win the Home Run Derby
- 12:49is, is it? 1,000,000 bucks, second third is
- 12:52850-7700 450,000 Yeah, like there's he's not wrong.
- 13:01No, he's not wrong. First of all, I I don't think
- 13:05again going back to. One, I don't care if you're
- 13:07making as much money as you are. He's leaving money on the table.
- 13:11Yes, because he technically is. Well, he shouldn't open his
- 13:14mouth. And if he didn't open his mouth
- 13:16and speak the way he spoke over there with the press over the
- 13:19last. Couple of weeks he.
- 13:21Threw himself under the bus. And then obviously you look at
- 13:24the big picture. Juan Soto is a guy that has
- 13:27always been a yappy person. We've we spoke about it last
- 13:30week when he was with the Padres.
- 13:32Even when he was over there with the Nationals, he had his own
- 13:35opinion towards everything. The Nationals couldn't take it
- 13:37anymore. The Padres couldn't take it
- 13:39anymore. The Yankees wanted to keep them.
- 13:41You can't lie about that. And nobody, as the Yankee fans
- 13:44would say we don't want Juan Soto.
- 13:46I'm sure the Yankee fans wouldn't have been upset if Juan
- 13:49Soto was playing for the New York Yankees.
- 13:51I would say Juan Soto numbers would be a lot better when it
- 13:53comes to batting average. I.
- 13:55What's out about his? Home runs, he's gotten really
- 13:58hot over the last couple of weeks.
- 13:59The last three weeks he's hit I, I, I don't know the exact
- 14:02numbers, it's got to be over 8. And he, he's, he's been one of
- 14:06the better power hitters over the last three or four weeks.
- 14:08So he, he's a guy that definitely obviously baseball
- 14:12looked, looked at him and said, you know what, we don't want him
- 14:15there. We don't want to deal with his
- 14:16his crap. He is he would have gotten
- 14:19$100,000 from the New York Mets. It would have been a part of his
- 14:22contract if he played in the All Star game.
- 14:24He's got many All Star games to appear in.
- 14:27It's not going to be the only one.
- 14:29He's going to have a chance next year and we have Scott talk and
- 14:31what it was. What is Scott saying over here,
- 14:33Speedy? Looks like he's saying hi from
- 14:35new. Orleans What does he say?
- 14:37What's up my dues? And he likes Buxton tonight.
- 14:39I'm not sure if Scott. I don't know if that's one of
- 14:40the US guys we met at the Super Bowl, but shout out to Scott.
- 14:43Yeah, and, and again, Buxton is a guy that a lot of people like
- 14:47in in the Home Run Derby, They're a lot of these guys are
- 14:49going to be, they're going to have an opportunity to win the
- 14:52home Home Run Derby. There's no question.
- 14:54I, I got James, James Wood, I, I think he is the guy I'm rooting
- 14:57for. He's the young phenom, 6 foot 7
- 15:00power hitter, the Aaron Judge body type.
- 15:04I don't know if he's as big as Aaron Judge, but he's got that,
- 15:06that type of power that you want to see a young kid have.
- 15:10The Nationals have a good one. They definitely do.
- 15:12They have a couple of good ones. And I think the Nationals in the
- 15:14next couple of years, they brought in it, they're going to
- 15:16be bringing a new GM and a new manager in the offseason.
- 15:19I'm interested to see where they go.
- 15:21Again, this is an organization that's given up a lot of good
- 15:25talent. Trey, remember, when you look at
- 15:28what they had over over the years, I you could argue this
- 15:32was the most talented team when it came to their farm system to
- 15:35the Major League level. I mean, Bryce Harper was on this
- 15:37team at one point you had Steven Strasburg, Max Scherzer.
- 15:41I mean, Trey Turner was on this team that now Trey Turner and
- 15:45obviously Bryce Harper are playing on the same team with
- 15:48the Phillies. The Phillies are right now
- 15:50playing pretty good baseball. We'll see what they do in the
- 15:51second-half. Again, we're going into this,
- 15:55this Home Run Derby. A lot of questions will not be
- 15:58asked because again, these guys are out there to entertain the
- 16:01fans. We I, we want to see as many
- 16:04home runs as we possibly can and people are going to have betting
- 16:07favorites. Obviously we see Raleigh being
- 16:10the guy that's the betting favorite.
- 16:11But nevertheless, I want to see these young guys really show why
- 16:14everybody thinks they're the future of the MLB, But then you
- 16:18want to see these young guys. It's it's what makes their names
- 16:20out there. Yes.
- 16:22Right. Yes, I.
- 16:23Also think if you say it and we we've had this conversation too.
- 16:28You said this is your favorite. It's the best part of of like
- 16:33all the All Star like festivities, right?
- 16:36Yeah, it's the best part of it. Yeah, that is literally this.
- 16:40And but that's the the same thing like the slam dunk contest
- 16:45and what we talked about, like you're going to get garbage.
- 16:48Now it's so. Yeah, you're right.
- 16:50You're right. You're right, but why wouldn't
- 16:53you want to be one of the best to do it and do it?
- 16:58But I get what you're saying because it's like we've seen
- 17:02dudes that have gone in the All Star game and have basically
- 17:08pooped the bed, right? Because now they're swinging is
- 17:12I got the Nick Swisher went, Nick Swisher went to the Home
- 17:17Run Derby. He swung and missed at the first
- 17:20pitch, swung and missed. It's different because there's
- 17:24no cage. There's no cage.
- 17:26Also, you got your own guy throwing the ball to you.
- 17:29You have your father, your sister, your cousin and all
- 17:32these guys out there. I remember Robinson Cano was in
- 17:35the home run. Derby had his.
- 17:36Father his dad yeah so but at this but that's different if if
- 17:41if I'm throwing to Carter way different because he knows what
- 17:45I'm going to do it's. Different, he knows you and
- 17:49you're his father. I, I also believe and I, I also
- 17:52believe with the Home Run Derby, you want to see those 500 feet,
- 17:56you know, home runs, those 480 feet home runs.
- 18:00You want to see these guys RIP it.
- 18:02That's what you want to see. I don't want to see these short
- 18:04porch home runs. And, and again, this is a
- 18:07ballpark that's very interesting because we talk about Atlanta.
- 18:10Atlanta is a, a pretty big ballpark.
- 18:12It's not a small ballpark. One of the ones and so we got
- 18:16that that literally is right now going on on ESPN sports book,
- 18:22Kyle Raleigh's plus 260 Jazz Chisman's plus 1200 And so you
- 18:30said you had Rook, right? I have James Roy.
- 18:33Had Rooker, Jake Jake also. Had you had Rooker?
- 18:36Our private I had Rooker too and I have won in the finals with
- 18:38him. Another one that has a good like
- 18:40raw Swing Java you were talking about like the distance wise
- 18:42he's one of the good distance. Wise you know why you know why
- 18:44you go with the bigger guy is. Who who Who was your favorite
- 18:48home run hitter though? My favorite home run hitter.
- 18:51Yes, and don't give me a Mets guy.
- 18:54Don't give me. No, there's not enough Mets guys
- 18:56that have done enough with home runs in my life.
- 18:59Straw I I, I love Straw. Yeah.
- 19:01And he was a that. That that wasn't my lifetime.
- 19:05I mean, obviously we played against a really good one with
- 19:07the Mets and and Ryan Howard with the Phillies.
- 19:09Like he had some 53 home run seasons, which were insane.
- 19:12I mean, the the other guys that I really liked, a lot of them
- 19:15came from the Twins. I also liked them growing up to
- 19:16with with more no and Tory Hunter and guys like that.
- 19:20But I wouldn't say those were like the raw ones of the league
- 19:22though at the time, like it was probably the pools.
- 19:24It was Miguel Cabrera, guys like.
- 19:26That mine was Frank Thomas. OK.
- 19:28None of those guys stuck. Yeah, I only started watching
- 19:30later. I like more at the end of his
- 19:31career with Frank Thomas, but I know he was one of the best
- 19:33ever. I like the guys.
- 19:35I like the stories where you didn't expect those guys to win
- 19:38the Home Run Derby and they come out of nowhere and they win the
- 19:41Home Run Derby. That's that's the that's the
- 19:43stuff that you want to see. It's the same thing with the
- 19:44Slam Dunk contest. I obviously Slam dunk contest
- 19:48hasn't been the same since the 90's the last time.
- 19:50Fish Head Griffey Fish head Griffey.
- 19:53All right. And that, that's tough.
- 19:55That's tough to take away, but fish is.
- 19:59In love with Griffey. If Griffey was still playing in
- 20:01the league, you know Griffey, I mean, fish would jump on
- 20:04Griffey's Pogo stick, OK? He he has this like, he's got
- 20:08this like little. Fetish.
- 20:09Fish come in. Fish come in well.
- 20:12Hold on one second. I I wasn't even unless, unless
- 20:14he's doing his insulin right now.
- 20:16I wasn't even no. I will.
- 20:18I will say one thing and why I love Griffey is so I'm a
- 20:25backward tag guy, always been when we went to Coopers.
- 20:29Because you want to show everybody how bald you are,
- 20:31that's why. Right?
- 20:32Is that what it is? Well, that's probably.
- 20:36There it is. There you go, ladies and
- 20:37gentlemen. That's why he likes the
- 20:39backwards hat because he wants to show how bold he is.
- 20:43Well, he's got a lot of he's got a lot of hair here on his chinny
- 20:46chin, chin. But when it comes to the top of
- 20:48his, you know, his melon, he's got no hair whatsoever.
- 20:52And as far as Griffey is concerned, Griffey was a great
- 20:55hitters, great power hitter. We all know what he was and and
- 20:58and again, he was never proven to do steroids.
- 21:00So everybody has this love fetish for Ken Griffey junior.
- 21:03I also think that what he does is a player off the field.
- 21:07Now he's taking he's a professional photographer.
- 21:10He's he's out there football games and baseball games and UFC
- 21:14fights, taking professional pictures and selling them.
- 21:17Great for him. Congratulations to Ken Griffey
- 21:19junior. The thing is those are we expect
- 21:22Ken Griffey junior to go out there and win those home run
- 21:25derbies. We expect Frank Thomas to go out
- 21:27there, the big hurt to go out there and hit home runs.
- 21:30You expect guys like Mickey Mantle or Aaron George or John
- 21:34Carlos stand, but the guys like Curtis Granderson.
- 21:38Remember that Curtis Granderson hitting fifty home?
- 21:40Runs 46. Yeah.
- 21:42So those are those are the guys that really stick out to me that
- 21:45I want to watch, the guys that you don't expect to be remember.
- 21:49Bobby Abreu, Bobby Abreu, Bobby Abreu hit like a million
- 21:52Phillies out of nowhere. Philadelphia, Philly.
- 21:54He hit 51. And he had like a dozen home
- 21:57runs like in the in like the season.
- 21:59He was a great player. He had 18 going into.
- 22:02He had 18 going into. It was just wild that the power
- 22:05just came out of nowhere. And he just, he did in Philly.
- 22:09It was impressive. I like Bobby feeling I like he
- 22:11was it. Was really good for the Yankees
- 22:13too later in his. Career He was all right.
- 22:16He was, he was he was a great teammate, Great teammate.
- 22:19Griffin had the greatest swing ever.
- 22:20The greatest left-handed swing I've ever seen?
- 22:23His Ken Griffey Junior. I think the greatest swing I've
- 22:25heard was Mickey Mantle. I think he had the greatest
- 22:27swing. No.
- 22:29It wouldn't be. I've never seen the Mickey
- 22:31Mantle swing, you know, other than like a couple.
- 22:33Of well, go watch Bryce Harper. Everybody says Bryce Harper's
- 22:36swing is very. Close to I'll take him.
- 22:38I'll take him from the left side for sure.
- 22:40So. I'm just saying the Griffey
- 22:42swing was and and like Griffey made the backwards hat very
- 22:45popular. I would I would argue that
- 22:47Griffey helped. Why?
- 22:48Because he put his backward, he put his hat.
- 22:50Back. I just don't think people did it
- 22:52before. He robbed his own father of a
- 22:56pop fly. Like how?
- 22:59Cool is that he also played on the same team with his father
- 23:02for a little bit too. 100% but how cool is that you?
- 23:07And he was still living at his father's house.
- 23:12I mean, back in the day, didn't he didn't.
- 23:14He because were sick. Didn't he get cold up in Seattle
- 23:17when he was like 2021 years old? 20.
- 23:19He was he was 20. He.
- 23:20Was a kid and and of course he's living at his parents house at
- 23:2320 years old. I wasn't, I mean I, I got out of
- 23:26the house at 17/18/19 yeah, I haven't had a kid yet I'm 43 so
- 23:31that's a whole nother story. But nevertheless, I, I, I do
- 23:34think obviously. Other than Goody, I'm the only
- 23:37dad on this. Shit on the panel and I will say
- 23:40this for scruple to go to Max Freed and actually go to him
- 23:43and, and, and ask him if he wants to start in the ultra.
- 23:47I, I, I respect Scruple for doing that because he didn't
- 23:51have to. But it shows the respect that he
- 23:53has for Max Freed and who he was as a Braves player and what he
- 23:57did for the the the Atlanta Braves before he went to the the
- 24:00New York Yankees. So.
- 24:01Respect for the game. Yeah, and I, I give screwball a
- 24:04lot of credit. I mean, he's been the best
- 24:06pitcher in baseball for the last 2 1/2.
- 24:08I know the kid, I know what he does.
- 24:10I know how great of a player he is.
- 24:12And I know that the Detroit Tigers at one point last year at
- 24:15the trade deadline wanted to move.
- 24:18Everybody talks about the game that we play and and pronouncing
- 24:21names. And I could guarantee you guys,
- 24:24if you weren't looking up these names when you're putting out
- 24:26there, you couldn't pronounce their names either.
- 24:28So. I was 100% like, I'm, I'm not
- 24:31doing that game show, but when I get called Joba, it's Jabba.
- 24:36Well, it's the butt. No, that's my name.
- 24:39That's. Different goba every.
- 24:41Time you do it, Goba. I like that.
- 24:44I like Joba scuba again, I I think that the fact that Scubal
- 24:50went to time. Max.
- 24:52Freed, and actually he pronounced it right, actually
- 24:56asked him if he wants to start at the Ulster game, gives it
- 24:59really shows the respect that he has for the game and really
- 25:02respect for Max Freed, who has had a who's had a sensational
- 25:06year for the New York Yankees. It's not like he hasn't put out
- 25:09the the numbers that is very deserving to be the starter for
- 25:13the American League. But Scuba's been the better
- 25:16pitcher, especially with a teacher.
- 25:17Detroit Tigers is the best team right now as far as records
- 25:20concerned in baseball and and really has been the best team in
- 25:25the first half of the season all around with the young players
- 25:27that they have, the talent that they have.
- 25:29It's been very well put together.
- 25:31And the last time I've seen this team as good as it is was when
- 25:34Justin Verlander and Scherzer was on the team and Miguel
- 25:38Cabrera. I mean, that team was loaded.
- 25:40And now you have a young all these young phenoms on that team
- 25:44too. Yes, the young phenoms that were
- 25:47on on this roster. Now Detroit has a very good
- 25:50chance to go to the World Series.
- 25:51The American League really is lackluster and and, and I will
- 25:55see how everything pans out in the second-half of the season.
- 25:59We'll see where the trades go in the next two weeks.
- 26:02Everybody keeps talking about the Home Run Derby, but you got
- 26:04to look at what what some of these teams are doing.
- 26:06And really at the tail end of the first half, the Yankees were
- 26:09up and down. They really have played the
- 26:11worst baseball of of the year in the month of June and they've
- 26:14fallen out. I mean, they've won, I think
- 26:16they won 14 games in the month of June and, and, and early in
- 26:20the month of month of July. I want to see the Yankees play a
- 26:22little bit better in the second-half.
- 26:24And it all lies on Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone to figure it
- 26:28out. Now, analytics is not going to
- 26:30get the answer and give you the answers to the equation.
- 26:33The Yankees need to show up to to the games and play.
- 26:37I don't know what you play. You want to play Powerball.
- 26:39You play Powerball. Hit the ball out of the park.
- 26:41If you're going to play small ball, steal bases and play small
- 26:44ball. Early in the season, the Yankees
- 26:46were doing that. They were playing small ball
- 26:47baseball. It really looked like they were
- 26:50changing the way in the pace of the game.
- 26:52And then all of a sudden they stopped playing that way and
- 26:55they started to rely too much on the pitching.
- 26:57The pitching started to get a little bit, you know, some
- 26:59certain pitchers were coming back.
- 27:00Schmidt came back. He was down.
- 27:02He was back. I, I mean, Marcus Strowman has
- 27:04been a of himself in the first half.
- 27:06I whenever he started, he's looked bad.
- 27:08I'll tell you this. I got wrote Don's been better
- 27:11wrote Don's had a very good season.
- 27:13This has been wrote Don's best season in the first half as a
- 27:16New York Yankee and he had to pick up the slack after Garrett
- 27:19Cole has been out for the rest. It's been out for the season.
- 27:23It'll be out probably early next season.
- 27:25So you're going to have to get a lot more from Rodon.
- 27:28We'll see what the Yankees do at the trade downline.
- 27:29There are stories that the Yankees will go after a starter
- 27:32pitcher. They're looking at some bullpen
- 27:34help and start a pitcher. They don't think they need any
- 27:36help in the lineup. And, and by the way, our boom
- 27:39coming out and saying they're the best team in baseball.
- 27:40I think he's he's smoking a little bit.
- 27:42And whatever he's smoking, he needs to share some of it with
- 27:45me because I'm going to need it after the day I had today
- 27:48watching somebody run across of, you know, 25-A, you know, naked
- 27:52and butt ass naked, running from something I didn't see.
- 27:54So he must have been running from a ghost or maybe somebody
- 27:57was going to the bathroom trying to stab him or something.
- 27:59But I, I, I will say this, I will say this.
- 28:03The All Star game means nothing. It really means nothing anymore.
- 28:07Not anymore, no. A couple of years ago they were
- 28:09actually whoever, whoever wins the Ulster game, the National
- 28:12League, American League, that's the team that has the that's the
- 28:14those, that's the that has has the home home field advantage in
- 28:19the World Series. I think obviously when you look
- 28:22at the All Star game now, I the only thing is, is bragging
- 28:25rights now the American League has dominated the All Star game
- 28:29for the last 12 years. Does the National League want to
- 28:32go out there and and prove their point?
- 28:34I don't know. National League's been better
- 28:37really for the last two seasons. I think they were the better
- 28:39players. They have the better talent when
- 28:41and I think they have obviously the more depth when it comes to
- 28:44the baseball teams. But again, that doesn't sell to
- 28:47anybody when it comes to the players.
- 28:49There's more power in the American League.
- 28:50It's always been that way and that's what people want to see
- 28:53and that's why everybody can't, including yours truly.
- 28:55Can't wait for the the All Star, not the All Star game, the Home
- 28:58Run Derby because of the power that is in the you know, in the
- 29:01in the Home Run Derby. I want to see, I will say this,
- 29:04the guy is the guy that I really want to see is Ronald Lacuna,
- 29:08but he is not in the he's not going to be in the Home Run
- 29:11Derby. So that washed away from
- 29:13everything. I don't, I don't care about much
- 29:15of any of these guys besides the guy that I picked in James Wood
- 29:18because I haven't got a chance to see this guy all season long.
- 29:22I saw a couple of games, I saw a couple of his home runs there.
- 29:26Gigantic. This kid is special.
- 29:28He's A5 tool player. I a lot of people compared his
- 29:31skill to Aaron Judge. We'll see what he does in the
- 29:33Home Run Derby. Aaron Judge won the Home Run
- 29:35Derby. If James Wood does this at such
- 29:38an early age, it'll be special. It'll be fun to watch.
- 29:41And the nationals had had have had some power of talent coming
- 29:47out and playing, you know, hitting the Home Run Derby and
- 29:49and going and playing in the All Star game.
- 29:51So this is fun to see speedy. Yeah, absolutely.
- 29:53Like you mentioned, the Nationals young talent, we've
- 29:54seen it over the years. They developed the power right
- 29:56away, even with not even just Bryce Harper and a lot of those
- 29:58other young guys are James. What we've seen over the years
- 30:00with like middle infielders, were middle infielders not
- 30:02thought of as like a power position at the time.
- 30:04We had one of them on the show and Danny Espinosa, that was a
- 30:06good power hitter. Ian Desmond even before turn was
- 30:08a good power hitter too. And a lot of these guys are
- 30:10younger guys are really being developed and that's what you're
- 30:13seeing with a lot of these infielders in this Derby to a
- 30:15common era with O'Neill Cruz. Like they're getting developed
- 30:17right away to that level. The Yankees thought they had one
- 30:20with Labour Torres, he was a good player and obviously now
- 30:22he's in Detroit and doing some great things with another guy.
- 30:24And Javier Baez had a great start to his career as well.
- 30:27So the trajectory is very interesting.
- 30:28What is Pat McAfee doing here? Why is Pat McAfee hosting all
- 30:32this garbage? I mean no offense to Pat I.
- 30:35Love the host of everything. He hosts everything.
- 30:37It doesn't. It doesn't make me happier
- 30:39watching Pat McAfee, who knows nothing about baseball, really
- 30:42doesn't. He's a football guy and he's out
- 30:45there hosting. I know he's an ESPN guy.
- 30:47I don't want to see Pat McAfee there, but I want to see a
- 30:49baseball. Guy you you have to say like I
- 30:53can't stand when they because they do have bassin on their
- 30:56show, but why like, why are you getting a guy like that?
- 31:01Like, and I'm not disrespecting Pat by any means, but.
- 31:06I am. I am.
- 31:08And you can, but like, I don't want a dude like that.
- 31:11Like I want somebody that loves baseball, like.
- 31:15That's what he's like. I know.
- 31:15Nothing about baseball. I want I want a guy that is.
- 31:19I want a guy that fucking loves baseball.
- 31:21Bringing in Chipper Jones, bringing in some of these
- 31:24veteran old. Players.
- 31:25He was. He was the Futures Game code.
- 31:27I would have loved to see him give me a baseball player that
- 31:30has personality. An ex baseball player 100%.
- 31:33Personality, you know how they. You're looking at one, yeah.
- 31:36David Ortiz. How about David Ortiz?
- 31:38He's dancing and prancing around.
- 31:39On Well, how about me? You're not a, you're not a
- 31:42hitter, you're a pitcher. I mean, if you want to pitch to
- 31:45one of these guys would. Be pretty fun.
- 31:49I mean, I, I'm sure a lot of these guys would take your bet
- 31:51on trying to steal from you too. So I, I will say this, the guy
- 31:56that I would have loved to see, I would have loved to see it
- 31:59because of his personality is called Pavano.
- 32:03That's what I would see. If you were to talk about a
- 32:05pitcher who has no personality whatsoever, it would be him.
- 32:09He gets hit by a hot dog Weiner truck and, and he's out for
- 32:13three years, signs a big time contract with the New York
- 32:16Yankees, crying and, and dancing and prancing for three years
- 32:19saying that he wasn't healthy enough.
- 32:21Then he gets on the mound. He can't pitch a lick.
- 32:23He's not the same picture when he came from the Marlins, and it
- 32:25was just an absolute debacle. That's the guy.
- 32:27Or how about this Jacoby Ellsbury?
- 32:29Let's watch him and, you know, host a Home Run Derby.
- 32:33Yeah, Mr. Steroid Creep himself, who's probably doing steroids
- 32:37before he gets it. What do you need?
- 32:38Did he win the MVP with the Boston Reds?
- 32:40Like, he was up for it. He was definitely up for it.
- 32:43Yeah, that crazy. That's the year.
- 32:44That's the year Verlander won the Triple Crown.
- 32:47What I'm trying what I'm trying to say is I want.
- 32:51That was 2000, 2012. If I'm if, if I'm going to see
- 32:54somebody host a home run, trippy, I want to see a baseball
- 32:57player. I don't want to see Pat.
- 32:59I don't want like, I, I love Pat and I love his show.
- 33:03I don't want him on the field. No, tell him.
- 33:06Why don't you reach out to me? You got all the connections.
- 33:09Reach out to Pat I. Do, but at the same time my
- 33:12connections only go so. Far I'll reach out to AAA.
- 33:14It's. Not Pat, It's ESPN.
- 33:16I'll reach out to. AAA that's putting Pat on this
- 33:19show. They put Stephen A on different
- 33:22sports shows because they pay them both tons and tons of money
- 33:25and don't give other people that are better than than probably a
- 33:29different field. Such as Roba is not an athlete.
- 33:32Job If you were to pick any of the All Star players to tackle
- 33:34Pat McAfee, who would it be look.
- 33:36It doesn't. No, seriously.
- 33:37Like I, it's really stupid thing and it affects guys like us,
- 33:41Sarah, that they're going to just give all the money to two
- 33:43guys and they don't give a damn about these things.
- 33:46We saw Stephen A Smith not even caring about his number one
- 33:48sport in basketball, playing solitaire during the NBA Finals,
- 33:51being caught on camera doing that.
- 33:53Typical. And we know that Pat McAfee
- 33:55couldn't care about anything other than the Pittsburgh
- 33:57Pirates, who are one of the most God awful organizations in
- 33:59baseball. I don't even watch his show so I
- 34:01didn't even know he's a Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
- 34:04He's a he's a Pittsburgh everything fan.
- 34:06That's it. So he's a Steeler fan, but yeah.
- 34:08But then again, whenever I watch his show he talks about the.
- 34:11Calls Sidney Crosby fan. And he talks about it when I
- 34:14when he speaks about the calls, he always says no, it doesn't
- 34:17make sense. If if you're going to if you're
- 34:19going to do this right, if you're going to be on this and
- 34:23fish is 100. Percent fast liquor.
- 34:26It is not who should be there, It's because ESPN.
- 34:33Doo Doo. And they have.
- 34:34And at the end of the day, what game is tomorrow?
- 34:40It's on Fox. I love Lisa Ann.
- 34:45I'd rather Lisa Ann host it. That's what I would like to see.
- 34:47You're going to have the guy prancing on the.
- 34:49Field, you know. Give me a just give me a
- 34:52baseball guy. Hey, listen, give me a baseball.
- 34:55A baseball guy, a basketball guy, a football guy, and then,
- 34:59oh, and then when she's in the backroom.
- 35:01She can, you know, set up getting a fly over right now.
- 35:05Well, yeah, well, I get goosebumps every time.
- 35:08Well, I would get goosebumps if I saw Lisa Ann on the field, I
- 35:12mean. Seriously.
- 35:13I will. I will say in I'm going to, I'm
- 35:16going to say this in a different realm.
- 35:19Thank you for all the servicemen and women.
- 35:22When we get a fly over, we get a chance to be free and do this
- 35:26because of them. Thank you so much.
- 35:30Thank you so much. Yes, we, we'd like to thank all,
- 35:34all the people that fight for us every single day, all the
- 35:36soldiers, all the Marines, all the Navy special forces,
- 35:41everybody, Air Force, everybody supporting and protecting us all
- 35:45the time and all. The 4th of July was America's
- 35:48birthday. And I always say, what are you?
- 35:50What are you shaking your head for?
- 35:52What do you say? Because you're literally just
- 35:54talking about porn stars and you're like, hard stop.
- 35:56I love America. Pulled it out of my ass.
- 35:58Yes, wow, Jabba's the one who brought up a saluting and a look
- 36:02at the fly by and I was talking. About I can't salute I didn't
- 36:06serve I can't salute I. Didn't serve.
- 36:08A lot of people don't know the rules on that stuff.
- 36:09First of all, I, I, I brought up Lisanne because I'd rather her
- 36:13host the Home Run Derby than Pat McAfee.
- 36:15At least there's something to look at.
- 36:17I'm I'm watching Pat McAfee stand out there.
- 36:19He doesn't even know half you're.
- 36:21So conscious. In the basketball field, No, I'm
- 36:23not. I'm telling you the truth.
- 36:25Why would I want to see Pat McAfee on the baseball field
- 36:28when he doesn't know half these guys?
- 36:30He doesn't know any of these guys.
- 36:31He's reading off a script and it probably ESPN is probably
- 36:35talking in his ear and telling him, oh, this is Odile, this is
- 36:39Wood, this is Chisholm or Chisholm, whatever you want to
- 36:41call him. You know, it's, it's the problem
- 36:44right now in professional sports and media there, they put guys
- 36:47out there because the fans want to see it.
- 36:49I I just want to see. What?
- 36:51I'm dropping what Nathan just said.
- 36:53No I didn't. Lisa Ann, as long as she's just
- 36:56a big wipe, you're taking care of my 2 hole, I'm good.
- 36:59That's what Nathan is saying. Nathan.
- 37:02Get her on the show, Nathan. Yeah, well, if Lisa Ann. 100% he
- 37:06can talk as much as he wants. Breaking news Goody has no
- 37:10Woody. By the way, I'm wearing a
- 37:12college jersey I had made of the one and only Nick Goody.
- 37:16You want to see what it says in the back?
- 37:17I'll show everybody what it says in the back.
- 37:18Hello. Wood.
- 37:21There you go. I got goodies jersey on.
- 37:25Right. Why don't you?
- 37:25Why don't you wear my jersey? I got a jersey made for you,
- 37:28don't worry. It's definitely something that's
- 37:30going to stand out, which is going to piss you off as well.
- 37:33So don't worry, it's coming in the mail.
- 37:35Don't worry. I, I, I, I know how to screw
- 37:37with people and piss people off. And even though I know Goody's
- 37:40going to like it because I got his number and he thinks, oh,
- 37:43it's goody. No, it's good wood.
- 37:44And that's what we know him as. I am a legend.
- 37:47He is a legend and his Jersey's a legend and he'll definitely be
- 37:50worn on the show more than once. But yeah, finishing up with the
- 37:54All Star game. I'm not excited about the All
- 37:57Star game. I could care less about the All
- 37:58Star game. I know fans, baseball fans are
- 38:01looking forward to it because there's nothing to watch on
- 38:02television. And hopefully what would we got
- 38:05a week, week and 1/2 until OTA start.
- 38:07It's, it's a couple of weeks away, yeah.
- 38:09Training camp is next. Week yeah, so so training camp
- 38:11starts. So that's what I want to see.
- 38:14I want to see more of football and and football conversation
- 38:18because that takes away from all the garbage that we're going to
- 38:21watch when it comes to baseball. It doesn't get interesting until
- 38:23the last month and a half of baseball.
- 38:25Who's going to make it? Who's in the wild card spots?
- 38:28What, what team's going to pick up what player and off of
- 38:31waivers because automatically they become available guys that
- 38:35you, you thought, Oh my God, he's he's eager to be traded.
- 38:39And then all of a sudden he gets dropped at the waiver line
- 38:41because nobody wants them or they're the team that has him
- 38:44doesn't want him anymore. And he goes to, he's
- 38:47automatically a free agent and a team out of nowhere like the
- 38:49Dodgers or one of these teams automatically gets these guys
- 38:54and they go on, they go on a run all the way to the other World
- 38:56Series, Dodgers. Assign them and defer all his
- 38:58money next year it's. Pathetic.
- 38:59It's absolutely pathetic and that's what I hate when it comes
- 39:02to certain sports is same thing with basketball.
- 39:05They say this about basketball all the time.
- 39:07These what do they call this we go about.
- 39:10No. No, no trade.
- 39:12When they trade a pick, you trade.
- 39:14All the protected picks. Protected or unprotected picks.
- 39:18If you trade a pick depending on the year, there shouldn't be a
- 39:21protected or unprotected pick. But basketball has done it where
- 39:25it screwed a lot of teams, including the New York Knicks.
- 39:27Remember the Kristaps Porzingis trade?
- 39:29The Knicks traded for two first round draft picks.
- 39:32They winded up getting a second round draft pick for Kristaps
- 39:34Porzingis eventually helps the the Boston Celtics win a
- 39:38championship. The as they call them as Kevin
- 39:41Durant, AKA Mr. Twitter feed himself, says the Unicorn.
- 39:45As we all know, I I just it's pathetic.
- 39:48It's absolutely pathetic and it just really it it dry heaps me
- 39:52as as you know. Does that make sense to you,
- 39:54Speedy? Dry heaps, you know, that's a
- 39:56that's a terminology that it sounds like would have came out
- 39:59of Nathan's mouth. Well, I mean, Nathan is a pretty
- 40:01sick person. Nathan will dry heap to Lisa.
- 40:05We're going to go right to sound it out.
- 40:07Say roll here. J Quellen?
- 40:08Where's J Quellenette? No, J Quellen here.
- 40:11Do you mean Jacqueline? Let's sound it out.

- 40:23to pick names that I've heard you mispronounce repeatedly on
- 40:30the show. Errol, this is the name.
- 40:33He is the AL All Star starter sound.
- 40:38It out I'm. Going to go Tarek Scubal.
- 40:44There it is, I got it right. That is correct.
- 40:47You've pronounced him Tariq Scrubal like he's throwing a
- 40:51screwball for I think the entire time.
- 40:54I've been on the show, kind of looks like a.
- 40:55Tariq, I mean Tareq, he. Looks like a Tariq.
- 41:00It would be like AI mean you could say, I see how you could
- 41:02get that, but Scubal from Scubal, I don't know that part,
- 41:07but you did get it this time, the next one.
- 41:09Play with my picture. Is another name that you've said
- 41:13tonight that you just never seem to get right.
- 41:16He's a former All Star pitched for the San Francisco Giants.
- 41:21Errol, I've never heard you say this name correctly.
- 41:25Sound it out. Tim Vincentsum Lick it some,
- 41:33lick it some, lick it some. That is incorrect.
- 41:38Java let him know. Linsicum Linsicum.

- 41:45Let's go. Next.
- 41:50One All right, This is an All Star this year, Errol, He was
- 41:55added as a late replacement. He's a relief pitcher.
- 41:59Sound it out. Adrian Moran.
- 42:08More John. No, I was hoping you were going
- 42:12to say moron, but it's actually Morehone, Adrian Moran, Morhone,
- 42:19Morhone, Errol. One for three ain't bad.
