- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Hello everybody scrubbing in that we are.
- 0:16Speaker 1: How I do it? Yeah, I'm filling.
- 0:19Speaker 2: In, Yes, you're filling in. Becca is not with us
- 0:24Speaker 2: this week. She is out sick. So we said charge
- 0:28Speaker 2: it to the game.
- 0:29Speaker 1: That's what we said. Where.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Yeah, what is Becca?
- 0:33Speaker 1: What is her illness?
- 0:34Speaker 2: Her illness is congestion. I think she has like a
- 0:38Speaker 2: scratchy throat, kind of like what's going around. I did
- 0:44Speaker 2: not give it to her.
- 0:45Speaker 1: If that's what you're I did not accuse you of that. No,
- 0:49Speaker 1: consider that. No, there's a lot going around.
- 0:51Speaker 2: There's a lot going that.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Time of year.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I assume anywhere I go that somebody's sick everywhere
- 0:56Speaker 2: I go. That's kind of the mentality that I kind
- 0:59Speaker 2: of a way to live.
- 0:59Speaker 1: But I'll so it's kind of a smart way to live.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Yeah, just wash my hands and do my thing. So anyways,
- 1:07Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. That is why we did not do
- 1:08Speaker 2: a podcast yesterday. We were gonna wait for Becca to
- 1:11Speaker 2: get better, but in fact, she did not get better.
- 1:13Speaker 2: She's not getting worse. But here we are. It is
- 1:16Speaker 2: Tanya and mark I and it is Tuesday, February tenth.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Great.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a great day.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I feel like everybody already talked about the super Bowl,
- 1:29Speaker 2: but I feel.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Like Tanya America waits anxiously for your take on the
- 1:34Speaker 1: super Bowl halftime show and everything else.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah, especially the game, because the game itself, I think
- 1:41Speaker 2: I watched zero percent of.
- 1:44Speaker 1: You had friends over, yes, and oh you said it
- 1:47Speaker 1: was kind of a gender split as to what people
- 1:50Speaker 1: were doing at your party.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Yes, the men were by the TV on the couch
- 1:53Speaker 2: and the women were around the table.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Where the food was.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Where the food was.
- 1:58Speaker 1: What kind of food did you have there?
- 2:00Speaker 2: Thanks for asking. We grilled a steak and we made
- 2:04Speaker 2: my girlfriend made like a bunch of different dips. So
- 2:06Speaker 2: there was like a corn dip, There was like a
- 2:08Speaker 2: caramelized onion dip. There was some sort of like whipped
- 2:10Speaker 2: feta dips, a lot of like pita chips and tortilla
- 2:13Speaker 2: chips and dips and salad. Yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm surprised you didn't have pigs in a blanket because
- 2:21Speaker 1: I know you love pigs in a blanket.
- 2:22Speaker 2: We bought pigs in a blanket and forgot to make
- 2:25Speaker 2: the sons have pigs in my blanket, my freezer that
- 2:27Speaker 2: were not used.
- 2:29Speaker 1: What are you going to do with those? Maybe an
- 2:31Speaker 1: Oscar party?
- 2:32Speaker 2: Ya Oscar party? Yeah, yeah, I can't have those go unused.
- 2:36Speaker 1: So what did you make an effort to watch when
- 2:39Speaker 1: you were You were at the.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Table time show. That's all I cared about.
- 2:42Speaker 1: That's not true, what your buddy, Charlie?
- 2:46Speaker 2: So sorry? Yes, I normally I'm not like sitting there
- 2:52Speaker 2: before the game starts. However, I did not want to
- 2:55Speaker 2: miss Charlie sing the national anthem, so that I made
- 2:57Speaker 2: sure to watch.
- 2:59Speaker 1: And did you watch Brandy Carlisle saying America the beautiful?
- 3:02Speaker 2: I did not, all right, did you?
- 3:04Speaker 1: Yeah? It was great?
- 3:05Speaker 2: Great? Yeah, happy about it. Charlie did amazing.
- 3:10Speaker 1: He did. And if you don't believe her, listen to
- 3:12Speaker 1: This's What's funny?
- 3:35Speaker 2: Play that whole thing. But you can't play more than
- 3:37Speaker 2: five secs.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I don't know if I can play anything. Honestly, I'm
- 3:40Speaker 1: just going for yeah, exactly that you could bet in
- 3:44Speaker 1: Vegas how long or a fan duel or who knows
- 3:46Speaker 1: one of these sites, how long the brave would be?
- 3:49Speaker 1: The last line and the over under the last word.
- 3:51Speaker 1: The over under was like four and a half seconds,
- 3:53Speaker 1: and he went like eight.
- 3:55Speaker 2: It was eight point one.
- 3:56Speaker 1: He doubled the over under. Yeah, yeah, but yeah, he
- 3:58Speaker 1: did great. He's gonna be on there Ryan Seacrest tomorrow
- 4:00Speaker 1: to talk about his performances.
- 4:02Speaker 2: So much for that.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Thank you for that, Los Angeles.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Huh. I'd appreciate a little scrubbing and plug on the
- 4:09Speaker 2: morning show.
- 4:10Speaker 1: On the Morning show more than I am.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Why you're at it.
- 4:13Speaker 1: But he did. He did fantastically and I like him. Charlie, Yeah, yeah,
- 4:18Speaker 1: of course he's a great guy.
- 4:19Speaker 2: The best. We love Charlie.
- 4:21Speaker 1: He's been here many times. That's the guy. Yeah.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I was happy because I feel like a lot of
- 4:26Speaker 2: artists don't. They say no to the National Anthem, not
- 4:30Speaker 2: for the Super Bowl, but like for other things, because
- 4:32Speaker 2: it's a really hard song to sing and all you
- 4:35Speaker 2: get everybody critiques, Like there was so much criticism when
- 4:37Speaker 2: they announced he was singing in the National anthem, so
- 4:39Speaker 2: he was getting all this heat and stuff, and a
- 4:41Speaker 2: lot of artists turn it down because of that. It's
- 4:43Speaker 2: like kind of a lose lose.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And yet he found a way to win in a
- 4:46Speaker 1: lose lose. Yeah, because everyone loved it.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Everybody loved it.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that was great.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Good for him, So I'm really happy for him. So
- 4:53Speaker 2: she watched that.
- 4:54Speaker 1: That then the game begins. Off, you go off, I
- 4:57Speaker 1: go dipp.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Like the TV wasn't like in a different room. It's
- 5:02Speaker 2: still like there. Yeah, I'm just not watching it.
- 5:04Speaker 1: It was a snoozye game, no question.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I was hearing. Yeah, yeah, I kept hearing.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Do do super Bowl squares?
- 5:10Speaker 2: We do not do?
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yeah, well we would. We would do a party and
- 5:13Speaker 1: they were doing super Bowl squares. It was a quarter
- 5:15Speaker 1: of square, so you got five bucks per quarter for
- 5:18Speaker 1: the winner, and I won five bucks.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Wow.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I was very happy about that.
- 5:21Speaker 2: I know, I still don't understand that game. I've played
- 5:23Speaker 2: it a couple of times, but I don't really understand.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Well, we were in another one which we were funded
- 5:28Speaker 1: a friend's her daughter's soccer league or whatever, and so
- 5:32Speaker 1: we went fifty bucks into that one, and of course
- 5:34Speaker 1: we didn't want anything there but the quarter squares we
- 5:38Speaker 1: cleaned up on.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Nice.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Yeah, but it was yes, snoozy game.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Snoozy game.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Do you make an effort to watch the commercials?
- 5:44Speaker 2: I don't.
- 5:45Speaker 1: You don't, wow, So you have no favorite commercial.
- 5:49Speaker 2: I mean I saw the Jennifer Anison the Dunkin Donuts one. Obviously,
- 5:52Speaker 2: I think that was hilarious people because there were so
- 5:55Speaker 2: many people and it was likesta.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Star studded and deaged.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Yeah fine, fine, but you like the commercials.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I make a real point of watching the commercial.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Yeah, so interesting. But that's like the time you go
- 6:07Speaker 2: to the bathroom no water.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Commercials are one of the main reasons to watch the
- 6:13Speaker 1: Super Bowl, and that's why they pay so much money,
- 6:15Speaker 1: is because people watch them. People don't normally watch commercials.
- 6:20Speaker 1: You're not forced to, but it's one of the very
- 6:22Speaker 1: few times. Yeah, I mean I guess you're forced to that.
- 6:24Speaker 1: You can't skip them. Yes, you can leave the room. Yeah,
- 6:27Speaker 1: because live TV is so rare these days. Nobody watches
- 6:30Speaker 1: live TV. Yeah. I enjoy watching them, even though they're
- 6:34Speaker 1: often not great. I still like, hmm, wow, that was
- 6:37Speaker 1: a big celebrity you know, that sort of thing. We
- 6:39Speaker 1: got George Cluton to do that one for in Stacart
- 6:42Speaker 1: or whatever it was. I didn't even know what they're for.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Oh yeah, was it? Bradley Cooper.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Bradley Cooper was in the one with Matthew McConaughey. Yes,
- 6:48Speaker 1: that was for I think that was Instacart. Yeah, well,
- 6:53Speaker 1: somebody's eating the fees. That's the George Clutey one one
- 6:56Speaker 1: of those services that brings your food is going to
- 6:58Speaker 1: eat the fees. U uber eats maybe anything over fifty bucks,
- 7:03Speaker 1: they're going to eat the fees.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Love eating, love when they eat the fees.
- 7:07Speaker 1: So I like the commercials.
- 7:09Speaker 2: I would I'd actually be interested to do a poll
- 7:11Speaker 2: on that because I feel like you're in the minority here.
- 7:13Speaker 2: I don't think so, I think I think so.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Why would they be such a big deal if no
- 7:18Speaker 1: one watches them?
- 7:18Speaker 2: Because you're right, we're forced to watch them. Yes, it's
- 7:21Speaker 2: the most exposure that you'll get in a commercial these
- 7:24Speaker 2: days on television, I believe. But to say that I
- 7:28Speaker 2: watch the Super Bowl just for the commercials, I think
- 7:30Speaker 2: it's going to be not a big.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Thing just for the commercials. It's just like that's part
- 7:35Speaker 1: of the of the meal. It's the side dish, and
- 7:38Speaker 1: I enjoy it. Like for me, the game is the meal,
- 7:41Speaker 1: not for you. Correct, grub Hub are eating the fees
- 7:44Speaker 1: nice anyway, So no commercials, So you're just the food
- 7:48Speaker 1: at the food for the entire first half of the game.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Honestly, Kenny, I honestly, I don't even think I watched Normally,
- 7:54Speaker 2: I watch a little bit of the game. I don't
- 7:55Speaker 2: think I watched one second one wow.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yeah, and not because it was so boring. Probably were
- 8:00Speaker 1: oblivious to where there was boring or exciting.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Robbie was saying, that's like it's a snoozy game, So
- 8:04Speaker 2: I really didn't have any interest normally when he's like
- 8:06Speaker 2: oohing and aweing at the TV, you know what I mean.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Like, and you and your friends were having excellent conversation.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Yeah, just chit chatting, Yeah, chitty chatting.
- 8:13Speaker 1: And then, by the way, that is the best time
- 8:16Speaker 1: to go to the bathroom is right when the first
- 8:18Speaker 1: half ends and the halftime is being set up. You
- 8:21Speaker 1: got about ten minutes there, great time to go to
- 8:23Speaker 1: the bathroom. Yeah, so bad, Bunny. Your thoughts the World
- 8:29Speaker 1: of Weights so good.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Crushed it. I saw a lot of people that were like,
- 8:34Speaker 2: I didn't understand what he was saying. I was like,
- 8:35Speaker 2: neither did I. But I he did such a good
- 8:38Speaker 2: job of visually showing us what he was saying, So
- 8:41Speaker 2: I feel like I got it. You know what, I mean,
- 8:45Speaker 2: for sure, it wasn't hard to get I know. But
- 8:48Speaker 2: then when I they had some videos that like posted
- 8:50Speaker 2: the like they translated it, and I was like, it's
- 8:53Speaker 2: so crazy because I actually I obviously didn't understand what
- 8:55Speaker 2: he was saying, but like, that's you're right. I was right.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I loved what they did with and Kendrick did
- 9:01Speaker 1: some of this too last year. How they're changing the
- 9:05Speaker 1: concept of the super Bowl halftime show. What do you
- 9:07Speaker 1: mean before last year the super Bowl halftime show, I
- 9:11Speaker 1: think before Kendrick was Rihanna, it was still a giant
- 9:15Speaker 1: concert with wide shots of dozens of dancers in perfect
- 9:20Speaker 1: sync in outfits and craziness, lots of stuff going on.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Bought a giant concert. Well, Kendrick and Bad Bunny now
- 9:28Speaker 1: have done as they've changed that completely, especially Bad Bunny.
- 9:31Speaker 1: There were times when you had no idea this was
- 9:33Speaker 1: even in a football stadium. You couldn't even tell it
- 9:36Speaker 1: was so tight in his face. He was in the
- 9:38Speaker 1: sugarcane fields of Puerto Rico. It was a wedding ceremony.
- 9:41Speaker 1: He was in the casita like it was nothing to
- 9:43Speaker 1: do with a football stadium or a concert, And that
- 9:46Speaker 1: was amazing. And I think I don't know the way
- 9:49Speaker 1: it's going. It's changing so much just the past two years.
- 9:52Speaker 2: But you know what I found interesting. I was watching
- 9:53Speaker 2: a lot of people on Instagram that were there, like
- 9:56Speaker 2: in Levi Stadium, and normally, like the people that are
- 9:59Speaker 2: w that are in the stadium don't like the halftime
- 10:01Speaker 2: show because like they don't see anything, like it's like
- 10:03Speaker 2: they can barely see anything, but they seem to really
- 10:06Speaker 2: enjoy it and they could like make out what's going on,
- 10:08Speaker 2: and there was like so much like the big screen
- 10:10Speaker 2: was like huge, and the fireworks. Like they seem to
- 10:12Speaker 2: really enjoy it in the stadium too, which I think
- 10:15Speaker 2: is like.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Huge, right because you do obviously you have to.
- 10:18Speaker 2: You're doing it for the TV one hundred and forty million.
- 10:20Speaker 1: People watching, instead of the seventy thousand in the building.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Oh it's seventy thousand at that one.
- 10:24Speaker 1: It is, Yeah, but I thought it was phenomenal. Yeah,
- 10:28Speaker 1: And I've seen so many TikTok videos the past few days.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Are these on your feed too? Of people from different countries,
- 10:35Speaker 1: like a room full of people from Ecuador or Duras
- 10:39Speaker 1: or I'm saying it that way because that's how bad
- 10:42Speaker 1: Bunny said it when he was rattling them all off.
- 10:44Speaker 1: And when they say the name Nicaragua, they just lose
- 10:47Speaker 1: their minds, like they said the name of their country. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 10:51Speaker 1: that's what it's all about. As far as I'm concerned.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I thought that was phenomenal.
- 10:55Speaker 2: I thought it was so good too, so so good,
- 10:58Speaker 2: But all in all, that's really what I watched it for. Okay,
- 11:03Speaker 2: so you watch that, and then I was like.
- 11:06Speaker 1: And then you were checked out? What about in the
- 11:08Speaker 1: fourth quarter when people started scoring again?
- 11:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I heard a little scuttle uh huh. I heard
- 11:12Speaker 2: a little, but it really wasn't enough to beat my interest.
- 11:15Speaker 1: How do you spend four hours standing around a table
- 11:18Speaker 1: with chips like that seems unsustainable.
- 11:19Speaker 2: No, I'm like chit chatting with like everybody that's there,
- 11:22Speaker 2: just like having like gorgeous conversations.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Wow.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Very surprised how long I could talk to my friends for.
- 11:30Speaker 1: And that's why you do the work you do. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 1: that's why you have a podcast. Did you on a
- 11:34Speaker 1: morning radio?
- 11:35Speaker 2: I talk seven days a week and I'm still not
- 11:38Speaker 2: done talking. You know, that's perfect, But yeah, you know,
- 11:42Speaker 2: it did kind of make me realize that and I
- 11:45Speaker 2: say this all the time because I do like the
- 11:46Speaker 2: camaraderie of it. I like the like I'm happy that's
- 11:50Speaker 2: through that, Like football's done until September. I have my
- 11:52Speaker 2: husband back. Congratulations, thank you so much. But I do
- 11:55Speaker 2: want to like get on get on board next year.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I think you say that every year.
- 11:59Speaker 2: I do because I'm like, I want I want to
- 12:01Speaker 2: be a part so bad. I want to like get
- 12:05Speaker 2: a Seahawks jersey or like you know what I mean,
- 12:07Speaker 2: Like I want.
- 12:07Speaker 1: To know why you get a Seahawks jersey.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Well, I mean that was for like this last super Bowl.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Okay, but I'm saying, if you want to maintain your
- 12:16Speaker 1: Seahawks fandom.
- 12:17Speaker 2: I think you were justified for the Rams.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I just found out in the last couple of days.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I think my wife figured this out. The Seahawks are
- 12:25Speaker 1: owned and operated by a modern woman. That's right, and
- 12:29Speaker 1: there are not many football teams owned by women. So
- 12:33Speaker 1: keep that in mind.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Shoot, So do I become a Seahawks fan?
- 12:37Speaker 1: I think over the Rams?
- 12:38Speaker 2: Yes, really yes, even though I live in LA.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I mean, that's your decision. I cannot tell.
- 12:44Speaker 2: You, Okay. So anyways, and because like the Super Bowl
- 12:49Speaker 2: next year is on Valentine's Day.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Ye warning, warning warning, super Bowl sixty one is on
- 12:54Speaker 1: Valentine's Day next year. The good news is it's on
- 12:57Speaker 1: President's Day weekend, so you get the day after awe
- 13:01Speaker 1: option for you.
- 13:02Speaker 2: But you know what I saw, They're already predicting who's
- 13:05Speaker 2: going to do this halftime show for next year.
- 13:08Speaker 1: They have the odds up.
- 13:09Speaker 2: The odds, yes, and it appears to me like it's
- 13:14Speaker 2: quite a good crew.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Well, I mean, they're just guessing. This is what fan
- 13:18Speaker 1: Duel says is a possibility for next year's halftime show.
- 13:21Speaker 1: But again they're simply guessing. They have no insight information
- 13:24Speaker 1: and really it's up to Jay Z's Rock Nation. They
- 13:27Speaker 1: produce it every year. The NFL has nothing to do
- 13:29Speaker 1: with it anymore. They outsourced it. Yeah, here's who they
- 13:32Speaker 1: are thinking. Their favorite right now is Miley Cyrus. I
- 13:34Speaker 1: don't know about that one. That seems odd to be
- 13:37Speaker 1: a favorite.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Okay.
- 13:40Speaker 1: I mean we like Miley just fine love, but I
- 13:43Speaker 1: don't know that she's the massive global star that Bad
- 13:46Speaker 1: Bunny is or Kendrick.
- 13:47Speaker 2: She would take on the task and she would make
- 13:50Speaker 2: it huge.
- 13:50Speaker 1: You think so?
- 13:51Speaker 2: I think so.
- 13:52Speaker 1: It's a tough act to follow the last store A
- 13:54Speaker 1: tough act.
- 13:55Speaker 2: To follow, Yes, but you know what, if anyone can
- 13:57Speaker 2: do it, a woman can.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Well what about Cardi b She's number Yes, you like
- 14:01Speaker 1: that one?
- 14:01Speaker 2: I really like that one. It could be good she
- 14:03Speaker 2: was there, of course it would be fun.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Yeap. How about Taylor Swift? That's always on there. But
- 14:07Speaker 1: I don't think she has any interest or need you think?
- 14:13Speaker 2: I don't know. Tell me about Travis Kelsey retiring. Is
- 14:15Speaker 2: he gonna play next year?
- 14:16Speaker 1: Doesn't look like it?
- 14:17Speaker 2: Oh?
- 14:17Speaker 1: Really is that officially yet? I don't think that's official yet.
- 14:19Speaker 1: But my understanding was this was his final year.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Well, I don't. I don't know the answer to that.
- 14:24Speaker 2: That's why I asked you, because I don't know anything.
- 14:26Speaker 1: It is not official, though, But I could see her.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I think it'd be so cool if he was like
- 14:30Speaker 2: playing in the super Bowl and she was performing in it.
- 14:33Speaker 1: That seems unlikely that she seemed to be on a
- 14:35Speaker 1: bit of a down stretch now, and if he retires
- 14:38Speaker 1: that will only expediate the fall of the cancers that
- 14:41Speaker 1: I just don't see her. I think people do it
- 14:44Speaker 1: for exposure, Yeah, but I guess there's an honor to it.
- 14:47Speaker 1: But yeah, the exposure, it's it's a really a big deal,
- 14:50Speaker 1: and Taylor's doesn't need much more exposure. She could use
- 14:54Speaker 1: a little less. Lil Wayne that was an odd choice.
- 14:57Speaker 1: I thought he's a little out of to Yeah, he
- 15:01Speaker 1: pocket asap.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Rocky would be good.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Justin Bieber. I would not be a fan of that.
- 15:07Speaker 1: You would be a fan of that. I'm not a
- 15:09Speaker 1: Bieber fan.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I would like to see that, all right.
- 15:12Speaker 1: How about Drake?
- 15:13Speaker 2: I would like to see that.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Might be curious to see how he responds to kid. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:17Speaker 1: how about Arianna Grande?
- 15:19Speaker 2: I would love that.
- 15:20Speaker 1: And finally, on their lift, They're least likely on their lift.
- 15:24Speaker 1: But I think maybe one of the best choices is
- 15:25Speaker 1: Harry Styles.
- 15:26Speaker 2: That would be epic.
- 15:27Speaker 1: He's going to have a monster twenty twenty six. Yeah,
- 15:31Speaker 1: so that one makes a lot of sense to me.
- 15:33Speaker 2: It does make us.
- 15:33Speaker 1: He would absolutely think outside the box and come up
- 15:37Speaker 1: with a whole new concept.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Of course he would. He would make it like a
- 15:40Speaker 2: musical or something like that we've ever seen.
- 15:41Speaker 1: It be very interesting what he would do.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I'd like to see it. I'd
- 15:45Speaker 2: like to see it go to a woman tb.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Well we'll see my picks Harry Styles.
- 15:52Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with Cardi B.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Wow. All right, we are only three hundred sixty nine
- 16:03Speaker 1: days away.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Today's also another big day and a huge day, but
- 16:10Speaker 2: I want to get to when we come back. We're back.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Today's big day Tuesday, February tenth, because the Girls Like
- 16:39Speaker 2: Girls movie trailer is officially out today. It is only
- 16:46Speaker 2: in theaters June nineteenth. That's the verbiage on the website.
- 16:50Speaker 2: I don't know what that means.
- 16:52Speaker 1: But what do you mean you don't know what that means?
- 16:53Speaker 2: It's pretty in theaters June nineteenth. Like I read that,
- 16:57Speaker 2: and I was like, Sam, does that mean it's only
- 16:59Speaker 2: in theaters on June nineteenth? That's so act.
- 17:01Speaker 1: All they're trying to say is you have to go
- 17:03Speaker 1: to the theater to see.
- 17:04Speaker 2: This stream so that they should say it's in theaters
- 17:08Speaker 2: on June nineteenth. You can't stream it, I guess.
- 17:11Speaker 1: But they're trying to more suidlight. I think about casting
- 17:13Speaker 1: shade towards the streamer. Okay, but as of June nineteenth,
- 17:16Speaker 1: you can go see it in theaters. If you much
- 17:18Speaker 1: later come to streaming. I just watched the trailer just now.
- 17:21Speaker 1: It looks fantastic. Yeah, and it made me weepy.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I got chilled the first time that I watched it.
- 17:26Speaker 2: It's like so crazy because obviously we know her so intimately,
- 17:30Speaker 2: and like she's been working on this for so long.
- 17:32Speaker 2: And if you don't know, the movie Girls Like Girls
- 17:35Speaker 2: is based on one of Haley's hit singles and best
- 17:40Speaker 2: selling novel of the same name, Girls Like Girls, and
- 17:43Speaker 2: so it's like a coming of age story and she's
- 17:46Speaker 2: been working on this, I mean for so long, and
- 17:50Speaker 2: it's so crazy to see it come to fruition, just
- 17:53Speaker 2: because I know how hard she's been working on it,
- 17:56Speaker 2: you know, through Becca, and like looks beautiful. Like the
- 18:02Speaker 2: trailer was so beautifully done with the song in the background,
- 18:05Speaker 2: Like it just gave me chills.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I don't know how you do any of it. I
- 18:09Speaker 1: don't know if I talked about this before. I don't
- 18:11Speaker 1: know how you write a novel so many words.
- 18:13Speaker 2: But it's not even that. It's like it's like working
- 18:15Speaker 2: on something for so long and like tweaking it, you
- 18:18Speaker 2: know what I mean, Like you're going in, you're doing
- 18:20Speaker 2: all this stuff, You're tweaking these edits, and you're putting
- 18:22Speaker 2: the songs into it, and you're doing making the trailer,
- 18:24Speaker 2: and like we do a podcast and we put it
- 18:26Speaker 2: out the next day and we're done with it.
- 18:28Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 18:28Speaker 2: And it's it's you know, it's not forgotten, but you're like, yeah, yeah,
- 18:32Speaker 2: like we kind of. And that's the way I operate.
- 18:34Speaker 2: We do a morning show, we do it, it's out,
- 18:36Speaker 2: and you do another one the next day, you know
- 18:38Speaker 2: what I mean, Like you do disposable correct, whereas like
- 18:41Speaker 2: a movie, you you you spend so much time and
- 18:44Speaker 2: if you think about it, because it's based off her
- 18:45Speaker 2: book and the song, like this has been the works
- 18:47Speaker 2: for like.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Ever for her, it's really amazing. And also it's stuff
- 18:51Speaker 1: like and obviously there's the case with her music too.
- 18:54Speaker 1: It's gonna last, it's gonna live forever, right, like she'll
- 18:56Speaker 1: be one hundred years from now, we're all gone, people
- 19:00Speaker 1: are still listening to Haley Kyoka music, reading the book,
- 19:03Speaker 1: watching the movie because it's still going to exist and
- 19:05Speaker 1: that's an accomplishment.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Yeah, So that is really exciting, So so proud of you, Haley.
- 19:11Speaker 2: We can't wait to watch it, can't wait to see it.
- 19:15Speaker 2: I don't know what the countdown is till June nineteenth,
- 19:17Speaker 2: but it's going to be here.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Before you know, I say, four months and nine days.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Okay, perfect, we can't wait Valentine's Days this weekend? Oh
- 19:27Speaker 2: oh you know I actually have like some kind of
- 19:29Speaker 2: breaking news.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Is this worthy of a timp maybe?
- 19:37Speaker 2: Okay, long tim I'm kind of getting my mojo back.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Oh okay, you lost it for a bit there, I
- 19:53Speaker 1: lost it. And over a couple months, what are the
- 19:55Speaker 1: signs you've gotten that?
- 19:57Speaker 2: It's going to sound so silly and like probably very
- 20:01Speaker 2: unrelatable to you, but maybe to somebody listening. There was
- 20:05Speaker 2: a point like I've just found comfort in sweatpants. Like
- 20:08Speaker 2: I've been wearing sweatpants since probably December. I haven't put
- 20:12Speaker 2: on like maybe I've worn a pair of jeans once
- 20:14Speaker 2: and it was too soon. I couldn't button them. And
- 20:17Speaker 2: I haven't even thought about putting a legging on, Like
- 20:19Speaker 2: the thought of even even like to work out. I've
- 20:21Speaker 2: been like getting back into my workout routine. I thought
- 20:23Speaker 2: of putting a legging on was like like like I
- 20:26Speaker 2: just couldn't do it. And this weekend, I like put
- 20:29Speaker 2: leggings on for the first time, like in a while
- 20:34Speaker 2: and I like did my workout and I just like
- 20:36Speaker 2: did it two days in a row, and for some reason,
- 20:39Speaker 2: like something in me just kind of like rejiggered and
- 20:45Speaker 2: like I'm kind of like feeling it again. Yeah good. Yeah,
- 20:50Speaker 2: So I wouldn't say it's like fully back, but I'm
- 20:52Speaker 2: definitely like on the road to getting it back.
- 20:54Speaker 1: And that's your that's what you mean by Mojoe, your
- 20:56Speaker 1: motivation yours?
- 20:58Speaker 2: Yes?
- 20:59Speaker 1: Good?
- 20:59Speaker 2: What is my Tanian?
- 21:00Speaker 1: Is vibration plate you got?
- 21:04Speaker 2: I've been seeing it on social media a lot lately.
- 21:06Speaker 2: People are doing this, like they stand on this like
- 21:08Speaker 2: vibrate plate that like vibrates and that like supposed to
- 21:11Speaker 2: be good for elymphatic system. So I got one that
- 21:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna be trying. So maybe that might bring my
- 21:15Speaker 2: mojo back even more.
- 21:17Speaker 1: You haven't tried it yet.
- 21:17Speaker 2: I haven't tried it yet.
- 21:18Speaker 1: You stand on it, it.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Vibrates for like ten minutes or something like that.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Okay, And what do you do when you're on it?
- 21:24Speaker 1: Nothing to stand there and.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Start at the wall, watch Instagram scroll.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I love an exercise that you can watch Instagram or.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Like check your emails, do emails, whatever you want. So
- 21:33Speaker 2: stand by because in like a week, you might not
- 21:35Speaker 2: have my mojo might be so high I can't even
- 21:37Speaker 2: fit in this room.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Wow, what about higher rocks? Is that what it's called too?
- 21:42Speaker 2: I that seems a bit of a girthy undertaking, because
- 21:45Speaker 2: like old Tanya would crush the higher rock Soft Girl
- 21:50Speaker 2: era Tanya feels like it might be a bit ambitious.
- 21:53Speaker 2: But I'm seeing all these people, like it's like very
- 21:55Speaker 2: trendy right now, and I like see people doing it,
- 21:59Speaker 2: and I'm like that high that you get from like
- 22:01Speaker 2: pushing yourself so much, you know, I'm like, maybe I
- 22:04Speaker 2: could use that. So I'm like, I'm high rocks adjacent.
- 22:08Speaker 2: I'm high rocks curious.
- 22:09Speaker 1: What is high rocks.
- 22:10Speaker 2: It's like you run a kilometer and then you do
- 22:13Speaker 2: like one like station, so like if it's like rowing,
- 22:17Speaker 2: then you do a certain like number of that, and
- 22:18Speaker 2: then you run another kilometer and then it's like eight
- 22:21Speaker 2: different stations, so eight kilometers.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Yeah, in total, that's a lot of miles.
- 22:26Speaker 2: I think one kilometer is like a little over the
- 22:28Speaker 2: half of a mile.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Is that right?
- 22:30Speaker 2: It's four miles, So let's.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Say eight kilometers to miles. And let me tell you
- 22:33Speaker 1: right now, what it is is five.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Miles Yeah, five miles.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Wow, Yeah, okay, you're up for that.
- 22:38Speaker 2: I don't know what.
- 22:40Speaker 1: A lot of mojo for that.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Yeah, the fact that I'm thinking about it makes me
- 22:44Speaker 2: feel like things are good.
- 22:46Speaker 1: You know what about So there's your physical mojo. Yeah,
- 22:50Speaker 1: you've talked to me about maybe one you start meditating.
- 22:54Speaker 2: So that's that's a Robbie thing.
- 22:56Speaker 1: That's a right. Yeah, he's pushing for that.
- 22:57Speaker 2: He's pushing hard for that. Okay, he wants me to
- 23:00Speaker 2: meditate ten minutes a day. He'll do whatever I want.
- 23:03Speaker 1: That's what he said. Uh huh. He said, if you
- 23:05Speaker 1: start meditating, because you can get you're getting a little stressed.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I get very stressed, a little frantic.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Sometimes I get very wound up about like everything. Yeah,
- 23:14Speaker 2: that's been my personality my whole life. So it's very
- 23:16Speaker 2: hard to unwire that.
- 23:17Speaker 1: So he said, look, babe, does he call you babe? Yeah, babe,
- 23:21Speaker 1: I need you to meditate for ten minutes a day.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I'll do anything you want. That sounds like a mat
- 23:26Speaker 1: at the point of desperation.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he is.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Yeah, have you given consideration to anything you want?
- 23:35Speaker 2: Well, first I need to like meditate, first I need
- 23:38Speaker 2: to walk the walk and then I can get whatever
- 23:40Speaker 2: I want.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I know, but do you think the girthy that like
- 23:43Speaker 1: big as a huge category? So what would you want?
- 23:46Speaker 1: What do you want from Robbie that doesn't already provide.
- 23:48Speaker 2: That's a great question that I'm grappling with because I
- 23:51Speaker 2: don't know the answer to it. But it would be
- 23:53Speaker 2: something like stupid, like I want him to like take
- 23:57Speaker 2: melatonin a night or something to help because I'm so
- 24:00Speaker 2: focused on his sleep that like I want to I
- 24:03Speaker 2: want to help him sleep better.
- 24:04Speaker 1: What if he eats those garbage crackers you used to make.
- 24:07Speaker 2: No, he eats his sunflower seeds at work now because
- 24:09Speaker 2: I've like told him how gross it is.
- 24:12Speaker 1: So he oh it is gross.
- 24:14Speaker 2: It's so gross. But now he only eats them at work.
- 24:16Speaker 2: So I'm like, I mean, he just always does what
- 24:18Speaker 2: I want.
- 24:18Speaker 1: So we talked about it before you get into it again.
- 24:21Speaker 1: But yes, I need and then it goes into my
- 24:24Speaker 1: mouth and then out needs to never come out again.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't see it come out.
- 24:28Speaker 1: One way street.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, I know, actually know I was going
- 24:33Speaker 2: to ask you this because you've been married for a
- 24:35Speaker 2: long time, but our one year wedding anniversary is coming up, yeah,
- 24:38Speaker 2: and like what do you do?
- 24:40Speaker 1: You know, it's a cute little story, but the first
- 24:44Speaker 1: wedding anniversary is paper. And my wife and I both
- 24:47Speaker 1: independently had the idea to go to Staples and get
- 24:50Speaker 1: a ream of paper for the other. One just does
- 24:52Speaker 1: a joke because like, hey, it's paper. We had the
- 24:54Speaker 1: same joke.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Oh like a stack of yeah, bought each.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Other or a stack of paper because without it be funny.
- 24:59Speaker 1: We both thought funny. Isn't that cute?
- 25:00Speaker 2: That is really cute?
- 25:02Speaker 1: What do you do for your first wedding anniversary?
- 25:03Speaker 2: Is that the question?
- 25:05Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean just maybe go away together
- 25:08Speaker 1: a nice little weekend away. Doesn't that sound nice?
- 25:11Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 25:12Speaker 1: But that's not no sad enough or a big deal.
- 25:15Speaker 2: No, That's what I'm saying. I don't know, Like what
- 25:17Speaker 2: Like I'm like, isn't do we just do it nice? Didn't?
- 25:19Speaker 2: I Like, we didn't save any We didn't even have
- 25:20Speaker 2: a wedding cake, so like the eating the cake a
- 25:22Speaker 2: year later, but like we don't have any of that.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Do you watch the video? Like I'm just kind of
- 25:26Speaker 2: like I want to establish something that's like that's easy
- 25:30Speaker 2: enough that we can do every year, do you know
- 25:32Speaker 2: what I mean? Like maybe there's some years we can't
- 25:33Speaker 2: get away, you know what I'm saying.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I tell you we waited twenty years to watch the video,
- 25:40Speaker 1: so you don't watch it every year. We do not
- 25:41Speaker 1: watch it every year. We did not watch it for
- 25:43Speaker 1: twenty years, and then we showed it to.
- 25:44Speaker 2: The kids and you liked that idea.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not. I don't know. It's just kind
- 25:49Speaker 1: of what we did. I wasn't even a conscious thing,
- 25:51Speaker 1: like we put it away like all right, huh, twenty
- 25:53Speaker 1: twelve or twenty twenty two, we're gonna watch this. No,
- 25:55Speaker 1: we just it was on the shelf, and after a
- 25:58Speaker 1: while we were just like we should watch that. Anniversaries
- 26:00Speaker 1: coming up, and so we did. The kids got a
- 26:02Speaker 1: big kick out of it.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't found like we watched it on our honeymoon,
- 26:05Speaker 2: which was like three or four months after our wedding,
- 26:08Speaker 2: and I think because you like kind of black out
- 26:11Speaker 2: at your wedding like you were, I remember it, but
- 26:13Speaker 2: then like I remember watching the video thinking like oh
- 26:15Speaker 2: my gosh, I didn't remember like that or like that
- 26:17Speaker 2: you said that, or little things. So I'm like, I
- 26:20Speaker 2: think that might be.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Nice to see tradition.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Right Anyways, I'm just trying to think of like what
- 26:27Speaker 2: I want that thing to be for us, something that's
- 26:30Speaker 2: like easy that we can do every year, but that's
- 26:34Speaker 2: like really sentimental and special.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Maybe I Love Island Marathon.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Well that I mean, that is just it's just Christmas Day,
- 26:42Speaker 2: em pretty day.
- 26:43Speaker 1: We're in season right now.
- 26:45Speaker 2: In season, and like there's nothing that brings me more
- 26:47Speaker 2: joy than seeing on the screen of Love Island, like
- 26:51Speaker 2: drops daily so much. Do you understand I'm.
- 26:58Speaker 1: A hypocrite though, Like baseball drop daily and I watch
- 27:01Speaker 1: it daily, So I'm a hypocrite when I say that
- 27:03Speaker 1: that sounds insane, but it does sound insane.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I hit my low last week when I watched
- 27:07Speaker 2: Unseen Bits, because that's like that's like the throwaway episode,
- 27:10Speaker 2: you know, like that's like your night off, like.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Seven days a week, but one of them is just
- 27:14Speaker 1: a just.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Unseen Yeah, okay clips, but it's just like garbage. I
- 27:19Speaker 2: don't even see any of.
- 27:20Speaker 1: This advance the storyline.
- 27:22Speaker 2: It's like, oh, they all fart in the room they
- 27:23Speaker 2: sleep in, like it's like gross, you know, And then
- 27:27Speaker 2: there's usually like an after Sun, but they haven't been
- 27:29Speaker 2: having that on this All Star season, which I enjoy.
- 27:32Speaker 2: So yeah, it's every night, and so last night it
- 27:34Speaker 2: was unseen bits and I was just like, I can't
- 27:36Speaker 2: do it again. I can't watch it again.
- 27:37Speaker 1: It's called after Sun after Sun, so like when the
- 27:40Speaker 1: sun goes down.
- 27:41Speaker 2: I guess that's like the idea it's supposed to be.
- 27:43Speaker 2: It's kind of like it's like a live like where
- 27:45Speaker 2: they bring the people who just like got out of
- 27:46Speaker 2: the villa and they like have an audience.
- 27:50Speaker 1: And this is an all star season.
- 27:52Speaker 2: This is an all star season.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's the UK All Stars.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Yeah, but they brought in USA. Oh I know, I know.
- 27:58Speaker 2: I'd be like I'm a Medica, Like, yes you do.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Because Survivor All Stars starts in a couple of weeks.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Yes, do you know what they're doing?
- 28:08Speaker 1: I don't.
- 28:08Speaker 2: They are. By the way, just put a little button
- 28:11Speaker 2: on the Love Island conversation. I did get asked to
- 28:14Speaker 2: do daily recaps on my Instagram. Oh and I did
- 28:18Speaker 2: a poll and it was fifty to fifty people that
- 28:20Speaker 2: would want it or not want it. And I figure,
- 28:21Speaker 2: that's great, that's a pretty good I thought I'm doing
- 28:25Speaker 2: them daily.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Now, who asked you to do it? I have to
- 28:28Speaker 1: look at somebody from Love Island, like from Peacock No.
- 28:31Speaker 2: No, no, just like somebody that no, not official at all,
- 28:34Speaker 2: somebody a fan that like also watches Love Island that like, yeah,
- 28:37Speaker 2: wants to hear my thoughts on Love.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Island fifty A nice return, And that's what I thought too.
- 28:41Speaker 2: So it's like, so I'm going to do it daily.
- 28:42Speaker 2: So I'm doing them daily.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Are you watching the Olympics?
- 28:46Speaker 2: Wait? What we were going into?
- 28:49Speaker 1: Keep keep it moving? Oh yeah, what are they doing
- 28:51Speaker 1: on Survivor?
- 28:52Speaker 2: They are showing like really prominent episodes from the people
- 28:58Speaker 2: who were going to be on season fifty.
- 29:00Speaker 1: That, yes, I thought, what is this random Survivor episode
- 29:04Speaker 1: on CBS? I see?
- 29:06Speaker 2: Yeah, So they're like setting up all the players for
- 29:09Speaker 2: this new season in case you missed their season.
- 29:11Speaker 1: That's actually pretty smart, very smart. I don't remember anyone.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Oh, I remember lots of them.
- 29:16Speaker 1: I don't remember or what we're kind of in the
- 29:19Speaker 1: middle of season forty nine right now. Huh. I don't
- 29:21Speaker 1: remember people who were kicked out this season. It is
- 29:23Speaker 1: just so yeah, speaking of disposable, I know.
- 29:27Speaker 2: It is kind of bad. But that's the same thing
- 29:28Speaker 2: with Love Island, Like I'm like, yeah, these yeah, but yeah,
- 29:33Speaker 2: I'm very excited for season fifty. They're bringing back the
- 29:38Speaker 2: live We're so happy to see that. I know, love
- 29:42Speaker 2: that part. I do too.
- 29:44Speaker 1: The best.
- 29:45Speaker 2: I have to get in there.
- 29:47Speaker 1: When they go from emaciated and filthy to clean and
- 29:51Speaker 1: normal health weight, it's the best.
- 29:54Speaker 2: And like to see what they wear, like they're like
- 29:56Speaker 2: what their style? Yes, yeah, I did bring a suit.
- 30:01Speaker 2: I would not picture that.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Those were good times. I'm glad they're bringing that back, But.
- 30:05Speaker 2: I don't know if they're ohea. I guess they do.
- 30:06Speaker 2: They can't do it right away.
- 30:08Speaker 1: No, that's the problem is you got to not tell
- 30:10Speaker 1: anybody if you want to know your dollars or not
- 30:12Speaker 1: for months.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I gotta get into that finale or reunion.
- 30:18Speaker 1: You should to get into that finale slash reunion. I
- 30:20Speaker 1: have to. Yeah, Well, aren't you buddies with propes? Do
- 30:23Speaker 1: you guys chatted about being stepparents.
- 30:25Speaker 2: I know, I thought I was buddies with propes, but
- 30:27Speaker 2: like I've been trying to get propes on this podcast
- 30:29Speaker 2: for pretty.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Much basically, we love nothing more you know, I was
- 30:33Speaker 1: a contestant on a Rock and Roll Jeopardy back in
- 30:35Speaker 1: the nineties and he was the host. We have much
- 30:38Speaker 1: to discuss, me and Jeff Probes.
- 30:40Speaker 3: We ask every season for Jeff Probes and we have
- 30:43Speaker 3: again we.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Have not heard.
- 30:44Speaker 1: So you seem to me at one point I know, said.
- 30:49Speaker 3: Yes, they want to make it work. It's never been
- 30:50Speaker 3: a no. It's been a just a when. So I
- 30:54Speaker 3: forever am holding out hope.
- 30:55Speaker 1: My question for him is, how can I look as
- 30:58Speaker 1: good as you look when I'm sixty four years old?
- 31:00Speaker 2: I don't know if I like that question.
- 31:02Speaker 1: It's such a great he looks fantastic, I know, but
- 31:04Speaker 1: as a compliment, I.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Don't know if it's a compliment.
- 31:07Speaker 1: The man is and he's got seventy on the horizon
- 31:11Speaker 1: and fantastic.
- 31:13Speaker 2: I agree with you. However, I don't know that would
- 31:16Speaker 2: be received.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Well thick with Rock and Roll Jeopardy questions because they
- 31:20Speaker 1: owe me money. As far as I'm concerned, I.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Love Jeff Probs. I mean that guy is a legend. Yes,
- 31:28Speaker 2: but also just like the way he went out of
- 31:33Speaker 2: his way to answer the kids every question, did not
- 31:36Speaker 2: like he had every executive lined up to talk to him,
- 31:39Speaker 2: and he did not make the kids feel rushed at all,
- 31:43Speaker 2: Like he took the time to answer all their questions
- 31:45Speaker 2: and then pulled robbing and I aside to like talk
- 31:47Speaker 2: to us about like the step parenting role, and like,
- 31:51Speaker 2: I don't know, I just thought it was so sweet,
- 31:54Speaker 2: like he didn't have to do that at all.
- 31:55Speaker 1: He just seems like a real one.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Yeah, a real one for sure. But I'm really excited
- 32:01Speaker 2: for season fifty. I mean, wow, for a TV addict,
- 32:04Speaker 2: there's a lot of good stuff coming out right around
- 32:08Speaker 2: now going. It's it's it's it's going, it's thriving, although
- 32:14Speaker 2: it's taking a bit of a pause because Robbie does
- 32:16Speaker 2: like watching the Olympics.
- 32:17Speaker 1: How's that been going?
- 32:18Speaker 2: So I have to give it to him because he
- 32:20Speaker 2: watches like all my stuff.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Yeah, so you know, so what have you found that
- 32:23Speaker 1: you enjoy at the Olympics.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Nothing, I'm joking. What do I enjoy? I like the jumping,
- 32:31Speaker 2: the ski jumping, I like the like did you.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Hear about the controversy? Yeah, so they say that the
- 32:37Speaker 1: skill male ski jumpers are injecting filler into their wieners
- 32:45Speaker 1: to make it bigger for the three D scan of
- 32:49Speaker 1: their bodies so that they get more fabric, right, because
- 32:52Speaker 1: that allows them to get a larger suit in the
- 32:55Speaker 1: crotch area. Then their weiener goes back to normal size,
- 32:59Speaker 1: and then you've just got empty fabric which works as
- 33:02Speaker 1: a sail and keeps you airborne longer as a ski jumper.
- 33:08Speaker 1: It's kind of genius that somebody thought of that.
- 33:10Speaker 2: It is genius. But also, like what who wants to
- 33:13Speaker 2: inject their meaner with anything?
- 33:15Speaker 1: Like a gold medal? Is a gold medal?
- 33:17Speaker 2: That is so crazy? Like I don't have a wiener,
- 33:21Speaker 2: but if I did, I would not want to inject.
- 33:23Speaker 1: It with I that's fair to say. Is you want
- 33:26Speaker 1: to keep all the needles away from it as much
- 33:28Speaker 1: as you can? Yeah? Yes, and really all genitalia y
- 33:31Speaker 1: free of needles is a good policy.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Yeah. I wouldn't want to be like injecting my vagina
- 33:38Speaker 2: with anything.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Oh so, even to a gold medal.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just gonna go ahead and hope that that's
- 33:47Speaker 2: not legit.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Well, we'll see, we'll find out they're looking into the
- 33:50Speaker 1: allegations or taking it very seriously.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Now, Mark, I need to ask you something. Oh wait,
- 33:54Speaker 2: I wanted to talk about the Jason Bateman Charlie XCX backlash, Yes,
- 33:58Speaker 2: and then I also wanted to talk about Tom Brady
- 34:01Speaker 2: and Alex Earl Okay, but I think we'll do that
- 34:03Speaker 2: when we get back. Great, we are back baby, Okay.
- 34:25Speaker 2: So there was like a huge story last week that
- 34:29Speaker 2: Jason Bateman from The Smartlest Podcast was getting a lot
- 34:32Speaker 2: of backlash from their Charlie XCX interview about having children.
- 34:37Speaker 2: And The Smartlest Podcast is hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes,
- 34:41Speaker 2: and Will Arnett. Obviously it's a huge, massive podcast, and
- 34:46Speaker 2: they had Charlie XCX on as a guest. In the
- 34:47Speaker 2: way that their interviews go, one of them knows who
- 34:53Speaker 2: the guest is and then the other two are like surprised.
- 34:56Speaker 1: I enjoy that, by the way.
- 34:58Speaker 2: So I enjoy that. To actually talk to our producer
- 35:00Speaker 2: Sam about doing like something kind of like that on
- 35:02Speaker 2: our podcast cool because I think it allows like we're
- 35:08Speaker 2: not all experts on everybody. And I think when you
- 35:11Speaker 2: don't know someone and you're not trying to pretend to
- 35:14Speaker 2: know them, you can get very honest conversations, like you
- 35:17Speaker 2: just treat them like a human.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Right. He was more curious naturally, Uh, huh.
- 35:21Speaker 2: And I noticed that in this interview because Jason Bateman
- 35:24Speaker 2: did not know anything about Charlie XCX, which they've.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Had like Clayton Kursher from the Dodgers on and Sean
- 35:30Speaker 1: Hayes knew nothing of who this person was. I that's
- 35:33Speaker 1: and honestly the guest is kind of delighted by that, but.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Also the listener our listeners don't know who everybody is too,
- 35:40Speaker 2: do you know what I mean? And sometimes I think
- 35:41Speaker 2: we talked to people we just go with so inside baseball,
- 35:44Speaker 2: and they don't know what's going on. They don't know
- 35:46Speaker 2: who this person is. We don't really set it up.
- 35:47Speaker 2: So I feel I kind of like that element of it.
- 35:49Speaker 2: And it was so funny, is like he knew nothing
- 35:52Speaker 2: about Charlie XX, Like I didn't really even know about
- 35:56Speaker 2: brat like that she created that whole you know what
- 35:58Speaker 2: I mean, Like it was like mind blowing to me.
- 35:59Speaker 2: But also it was just like so honest to who
- 36:02Speaker 2: he is. But anyway, so he obviously didn't know that
- 36:04Speaker 2: Charlie six is married, and the subject of kids came
- 36:08Speaker 2: about again naturally because she was talking about being an
- 36:11Speaker 2: only child, and so he was kind of like when
- 36:15Speaker 2: you have kids, are you gonna want to like have
- 36:17Speaker 2: many kids because of your experience as an only child?
- 36:20Speaker 2: And she was just she said like, oh, I don't
- 36:21Speaker 2: really want to have kids.
- 36:23Speaker 1: And then.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Jason Bateman went on to share kind of his experience.
- 36:27Speaker 2: He's like, well, you never know, like my wife didn't
- 36:29Speaker 2: want kids either until she met me, and then she
- 36:31Speaker 2: was like, oh, I could see myself having kids with
- 36:33Speaker 2: this guy, so like you might meet someone and she
- 36:35Speaker 2: was like, I'm married, and then it was like a
- 36:39Speaker 2: funny exchange.
- 36:39Speaker 1: They laughed and.
- 36:40Speaker 2: He's like, maybe your second husband might change, you know,
- 36:42Speaker 2: Like it was like a funny thing. And I think
- 36:44Speaker 2: that all these articles were kind of like, yeah, facing
- 36:48Speaker 2: backlash and.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Like oh after another criticized Grills Charlie x X, and
- 36:54Speaker 1: I'm like.
- 36:54Speaker 2: I also don't even think he was pushing pushing it
- 36:57Speaker 2: on her. He was just sharing his sperience, which is
- 37:00Speaker 2: what we all do in conversations, Like that's what conversations are,
- 37:05Speaker 2: that's what we listen to podcasts to hear people's experiences,
- 37:09Speaker 2: and in my opinion listening to it, I don't feel
- 37:11Speaker 2: like he was pushing it at all, Like he wasn't
- 37:14Speaker 2: like you should really think about that, Charlie, Like kids
- 37:17Speaker 2: are amazing, Like he wasn't doing that right, which some
- 37:19Speaker 2: people do.
- 37:20Speaker 1: And I understand why people would be upset if he
- 37:22Speaker 1: was shaming her for not wanting kids.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but they got their clicks and so many articles written, right,
- 37:30Speaker 2: But yeah, that was like an interesting, interesting situation. But
- 37:35Speaker 2: the other hot story this week, and I was laughing
- 37:40Speaker 2: so hard because I've just been seeing so many like
- 37:42Speaker 2: tiktoks and videos about Tom Brady and Alex Earl. If
- 37:46Speaker 2: you don't know, Tom Brady is like former NFL player,
- 37:49Speaker 2: like legendary.
- 37:50Speaker 1: They call him the goat, they call him the goat,
- 37:52Speaker 1: greatest of all time.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Alex Earl is a influencer and some call her the
- 37:58Speaker 2: Goat of influencing. Okay, Okay, So they have been they've
- 38:05Speaker 2: been rumored to be hooking up after they were seen
- 38:07Speaker 2: at the super Bowl. They were also seen on years
- 38:09Speaker 2: New Year's Eve together. So for her, I'm like, this
- 38:13Speaker 2: is cool, this is iconic. It's like Tom Brady. For him,
- 38:16Speaker 2: it like it makes me feel a certain type of
- 38:18Speaker 2: way about him that I it's a creepy factor, like
- 38:22Speaker 2: how old a hold on? How old is his daughter?
- 38:24Speaker 1: Oh, let's find that out.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Tom he has a kid who's eighteen, and a kid
- 38:30Speaker 2: that's sixteen, and a kid that's thirteen, so his yeah
- 38:35Speaker 2: are closer to her age than he is. I find
- 38:40Speaker 2: it too. There's an yeah, it's not I don't know
- 38:42Speaker 2: if it's creepy. It's just giving this like energy about
- 38:48Speaker 2: Tom Brady that I just like, I don't like, yeah,
- 38:52Speaker 2: you know what I mean.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Yes, And then it's like.
- 38:56Speaker 2: George Clooney ended up settling down with like not am all,
- 39:02Speaker 2: Like no, yeah, and Mall was a perfect like it
- 39:06Speaker 2: made me think differently of George Clooney in a good way,
- 39:09Speaker 2: Like I was like, oh, he's been waiting to settle
- 39:11Speaker 2: down for this, Like she is magnificent, she's everything, she's regal, gorgeous,
- 39:16Speaker 2: she's smart. Like, yes, it made me think differently about
- 39:19Speaker 2: George clutey, Yes, in a good way. This is making
- 39:22Speaker 2: me think differently about Tom Brady.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Because you're the Leo DiCaprio's of the world. You have
- 39:26Speaker 1: a lot of these guys that prefer to date women
- 39:30Speaker 1: in their twenties, preferably early twenties, and then somehow stops
- 39:33Speaker 1: working as they approach their late twenties. Yes, yeah, that is,
- 39:36Speaker 1: You're right, And so it's just.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Making me feel a certain type of way my Tom
- 39:40Speaker 2: Brady that that I hate to see.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Do we like him in the first Did we like
- 39:45Speaker 1: him before? Every day? I did?
- 39:47Speaker 2: I did? I know him and Giselle obviously had their situation,
- 39:50Speaker 2: but like, to me, somebody that's like and I don't
- 39:53Speaker 2: even like football, but like that dedicated to their craft
- 39:55Speaker 2: and their score and like determined and like, there's there's
- 39:58Speaker 2: a lot of good in you to be that like
- 40:00Speaker 2: motivated and disciplined for so long. So I did. I
- 40:04Speaker 2: actually really liked him, but I feel like a lot
- 40:06Speaker 2: of people are like, it's a cook yeah cool in general?
- 40:12Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 40:15Speaker 2: All right, fair enough, And uh, Kelsey Ballerini and Chase
- 40:19Speaker 2: Stokes have split up again.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Gosh, you know, if those two can't make it, is
- 40:24Speaker 1: there any hope for the rest of us?
- 40:27Speaker 2: Like one day they're together, one day they're not, then
- 40:30Speaker 2: they're back together, then they're not. I don't know, but
- 40:33Speaker 2: they She was like all giddy at the Grammys on
- 40:35Speaker 2: the red carpet talking about I know, and then poof,
- 40:38Speaker 2: they're broken up again. But you know what I found
- 40:40Speaker 2: to be interesting. Fans noticed that something might be up
- 40:46Speaker 2: when Kelsey unfollowed Chase on Instagram on February sixth, even
- 40:51Speaker 2: though he so followed her, and then there were there
- 40:55Speaker 2: was a photo of Kelsey with Madeline Kline, which.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Is she's from yep, that show, the name of the show, and.
- 41:07Speaker 2: It's like totally outer Banks Bank. Yeah, but they dated,
- 41:10Speaker 2: right Sam, Yeah, they were together for years.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Yeah, his ex it's it's Chased Outs. Yeah, two excess together.
- 41:19Speaker 2: They posted this photo on Instagram like the tops of
- 41:21Speaker 2: their heads kind of like holding their mouths, like like
- 41:24Speaker 2: what's the tea? So like, clearly something was said in
- 41:27Speaker 2: that conversation because now they broke up.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Mmm.
- 41:31Speaker 2: If there's anybody that listens that maybe knows a little
- 41:34Speaker 2: bit about that conversation, we would love the inside intel because.
- 41:41Speaker 1: What in the world. Yeah, we've had Chased Dooks on
- 41:44Speaker 1: the Morning Show. No, yes, we have has been in studio.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Not in studio? Was it in studio? Sam? It was zoom?
- 41:51Speaker 2: It was yeah, because I remember if he was in
- 41:53Speaker 2: the studio, Hunk like that. Sure, you never forget it.
- 41:59Speaker 1: We did Hunk week.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Yeah, let's bring it back.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Were sure? That was like twenty eleven. Yeah, it was
- 42:06Speaker 1: just there happened to be a bunch of really attractive
- 42:08Speaker 1: men on the show that week we called the hunk Week. Yeah,
- 42:10Speaker 1: that was fun.
- 42:11Speaker 2: We should bring it back.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:13Speaker 2: But anyways, that's a little bit about That's a lot
- 42:17Speaker 2: about Chase Stokes and Kelsey Ballerini that I'm very interested in.
- 42:23Speaker 2: I really do want to know what happened there, to be.
- 42:25Speaker 1: Honest, and you might never and that's sad.
- 42:27Speaker 2: I think it'll come out.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Sure, all right, Well, how about we end the show
- 42:30Speaker 1: with the celebrity birthday game. How do you guys feel
- 42:32Speaker 1: about that?
- 42:32Speaker 2: Love a celebrity birthdays?
- 42:33Speaker 1: I haven't handy ready to play? Sam, you want to
- 42:35Speaker 1: get in on this? Sure, all right, here we go.
- 42:39Speaker 1: I'll give you a celebrity as a birthday this week,
- 42:41Speaker 1: possibly today, and you tell me how old they're turning
- 42:46Speaker 1: this week. And we have seven of them and the window.
- 42:48Speaker 2: That's a lot of birthdays this week.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Well there's plenty. I could have done more, but I
- 42:52Speaker 1: captain at seven time. It will start with you, okay,
- 42:55Speaker 1: Michael B. Jordan, he is thirty five? Thirty five? Is
- 43:00Speaker 1: it higher or lower than thirty five? Samantha?
- 43:04Speaker 2: She has to guess an age.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Oh she does. It's only two of you. I think
- 43:07Speaker 1: higher lower is easier. Come on, okay, and you'll go
- 43:11Speaker 1: back and forth.
- 43:11Speaker 2: You see Mark always changing the rules.
- 43:13Speaker 1: This is one version of the birthday game. Sam, higher
- 43:16Speaker 1: lower than thirty five?
- 43:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna say higher.
- 43:20Speaker 1: He is turning forty years? Oh yes, Creed is forty.
- 43:25Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Sam. Yes. The Queen Jennifer Aniston has
- 43:34Speaker 1: a birthday this week? How old is she turning? Sam?
- 43:38Speaker 3: Oh, I'm going to say, Sam, I'm not. I'm so
- 43:44Speaker 3: scared to say anything offensive here. Okay, I'm gonna say
- 43:53Speaker 3: fifty eight fifty eight?
- 43:54Speaker 1: Is it higher or lower than fifty eight? Times lower?
- 43:57Speaker 1: She is turning fifty seven. Tanya gets that one. But
- 44:01Speaker 1: he was very close.
- 44:03Speaker 2: She was like thirty three.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, she was born in sixty nine. Whoah, Tanya?
- 44:08Speaker 1: Back to you, and you might have an advantage here
- 44:09Speaker 1: because it's a personal friend of yours. Taylor Lautner has
- 44:12Speaker 1: a birthday this week? How old is Taylor Lautner turning?
- 44:16Speaker 1: First of all, will you text Taylor Lawtoner on his birthday?
- 44:18Speaker 1: Are used that level of friend? You are? Okay? All right?
- 44:20Speaker 1: How old is he turning?
- 44:22Speaker 2: M thirty eight thirty eight?
- 44:28Speaker 1: Sam? Older or younger?
- 44:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna say younger.
- 44:33Speaker 1: He's turning thirty four. So when you do text him,
- 44:35Speaker 1: tell him you thought he was thirty eight? Hey, Sam?
- 44:40Speaker 1: Remember Brandy?
- 44:42Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 44:43Speaker 1: How old is Brandy this week?
- 44:46Speaker 2: Huh? I'm gonna say forty three, forty three higher?
- 44:54Speaker 1: Lower? Tanya forty seven years old? We are tied to two. No,
- 44:59Speaker 1: Tanya from Destiny's Child Kelly Rowland has a birthday this week?
- 45:03Speaker 1: How old is Kelly Roland turning?
- 45:05Speaker 2: Fifty one?
- 45:06Speaker 1: Fifty one? High or lower? Sam?
- 45:09Speaker 3: I'm going to say higher.
- 45:10Speaker 1: She is turning forty five. And Tanya takes the lead.
- 45:16Speaker 1: And Kelly Rowland has just become an ex listener of
- 45:19Speaker 1: scrubbing in. All right, next up, Tanya, this is for
- 45:23Speaker 1: the win.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Okay?
- 45:26Speaker 1: Can we just talk? Can we just talk? Khalid has
- 45:31Speaker 1: a birthday this week? How old is Khaleid turning?
- 45:34Speaker 2: He is thirty two?
- 45:35Speaker 1: Thirty two? Sam. To stay in the game, you got
- 45:37Speaker 1: to get this right. Is Khaleid higher or lower than
- 45:39Speaker 1: thirty two?
