  [SPEAKER_00]: According to Jaguar's head coach Liam Cohen, it's not going to be, well, he didn't officially say it's not going to be season any, but it said he said it's going to be a couple weeks up back and he'll be able to help the team after that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it doesn't sound like it's a long term.

  [SPEAKER_00]: situation for BJ Green, but just something that's going to keep him out for at least four games.

  [SPEAKER_00]: BJ Green, accordingly, I mean he injured it on the first play of the game and then played several more snapped after that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it's kind of just goes to show you what type of player he is, teammate, all that stuff wanting to play through injury, but unfortunately for BJ who

  [SPEAKER_00]: Undrafted free agent last year comes in, earns a roster spot as a rookie, gets on the field when he does get his opportunities to get on the field on the defense aside of the ball, makes the most of them, and then has a, I mean, I don't think you would really say anything other than dominant training camp and preseason for for BJ Green.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So not the end of the road for him by any stretch of the imagination in 2026, but

  [SPEAKER_00]: And with his work ethic and the way he attacks things, he will work through it and he'll get back and he'll be ready to go.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not like you're talking about a starter here, but for him on a personal level, Stanks got to work through it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: On a team level, you do want be jagging available to rush the passer for you in key situations at times, but

  [SPEAKER_00]: He'll be back, and I think the Jaguars the way they've created depth and at the edge spot is obviously very beneficial, because it's not like BJ Green was your only depth there that you could bring in, but you have Josh Hines Allen and Trayvon Walker who both dominated in week one, obviously you have Danny Strigo who had a solid game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: in terms of not on the game day active roster he drafted this year you also have Brian Thomas Jr. who's another one who was an active in week one but you've got depth guys there that can rush and Dennis Gardett can come in and rush as well from the Sam spot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So not the end of the world there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: BJ Green is a big special teams player for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he got injured on that specifically on the first play of the game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They they're bringing up Jack Kaiser from the practice squad, which is kind of just a cool story with Jack like fourth round pick last year Good special teams player for them Got in and actually played some defensive snaps for them last year and I thought did a fine job and that and a role that he wasn't expected to be thrust into but you got injuries and other thing going on so He had to do that and then gets injured like one of the first plays of training camp this year and has to miss all of training camp

  [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people, I think, around Jacksonville kind of wrote them off after that, but the Jaguars, when they put you on the practice squad, they're not saying like, this guy's not good enough, they want to keep working with you, but it's just a roster math can be difficult when you're

  [SPEAKER_00]: good at bringing in a lot of players that need to be on the roster like James Ladsdon is.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so Jack Kaiser ends up on the practice squad, but now, you know, an unfortunate situation for BJ Green is an opportunity for Jack Kaiser where he can be activated and get on the game day roster and he's a good special teams player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So BJ Green was a special team's guy for them right now you bring in Jack Kaiser who I think can do a very good job for you on special teams and a variety of ways like it's not just on kick cover, she does a lot on special teams and so you can get him up for that I think that's huge.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, having the depth.

  [SPEAKER_00]: not even just on the 53, but into the practice squad of players that can come in and that have some experience and that can do different things for you, particularly special teams, because you're talking about bottom of the roster, special teams is critical, and Jack Kaiser can come in and help them with that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I feel very confident with that, so he has been signed to the active roster, BJ Green has been placed on IR, again, I have to expect BJ Green to be out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: At least the four weeks, and we'll see what happens after that, but Liam Cohen made it clear that BJ Green will be able to help this football team this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's where we're at with those guys, and then the Jaguar is also added a player particularly interested to me to the practice squad, but first of all, I remind you, the Jaguar is there two and a half-point road underdogs against the Broncos this week.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was a second-round pick out of LSU, obviously his brother is Aziz Ojalari, but as a rookie, he came in, he had 161 pass rush snaps, and 20 pressures, and four sacks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He did a lot as a rookie, and he's a guy that has, he's 6-2, about 250.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a guy that has natural leverage, which the Jack Wars have, I don't know if it's intentional, it's a focus, but a lot of their rotational Ed Rush type guys they've targeted have the natural leverage of not being super tall Ed Rushers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He didn't start playing until week 11, last year, and just wasn't getting as many reps, wasn't getting a ton of run, was still kind of trying to work his way back from the injury, and then you have a new coaching staff come in in Arizona this year, and he doesn't make the team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: he was cut on cut neck and he's just been available because you know he hasn't really put a lot of good tape out there since 2023 since his rookie year but again a player I was very high on coming out and I'm not saying he's going to come in and be the Jaguar's best designated past Russia right away but I do think that this is a player that has the youth and the potential

  [SPEAKER_00]: to have some staying power potentially on this roster and now it's going to be difficult because the Jaguars have a lot of young talent and a lot of youth at their depth edge spots and he's just getting a practice squad opportunity right now to come in and prove himself, but I'm excited about having a B.J.
