21 00:01:28,960 --> 00:01:30,720 Summer Fest, Summer Fest. 22 00:01:30,720 --> 00:01:32,800 Yeah, I haven't heard Summer Fest this year. 23 00:01:32,800 --> 00:01:34,800 I always feel like we hit that reference. 24 00:01:34,800 --> 00:01:38,720 Every time we talk about Summer Slam, one of us hits it. 25 00:01:38,720 --> 00:01:43,280 And at some point I feel like people are going to be old 26 00:01:43,280 --> 00:01:44,720 and have no idea what we're talking about. 27 00:01:44,720 --> 00:01:48,400 But back in the days of the RAW guest Ulster, that was what Jeremy Piven, 28 00:01:48,400 --> 00:01:50,240 who was he promoting, Otterosh? 29 00:01:50,240 --> 00:01:52,320 Was it the movie? 30 00:01:52,320 --> 00:01:53,280 Otterosh, the movie? 31 00:01:53,280 --> 00:01:55,600 He was pro, there was a movie he was in... 32 00:01:55,600 --> 00:01:58,720 About used car salesmen. 33 00:01:58,720 --> 00:01:59,760 That makes sense for him. 34 00:01:59,760 --> 00:02:02,080 And it was like... 35 00:02:02,080 --> 00:02:06,320 He was like the slimy used car salesman that had a heart of gold. 36 00:02:06,320 --> 00:02:10,880 Yeah, it's like the classic Christmas Carol, but just a car salesman. 37 00:02:10,880 --> 00:02:15,840 So yeah, he called it Summer Fest and a long time fans continue to reference that at least. 38 00:02:15,840 --> 00:02:17,520 Every time around Summer Slam. 39 00:02:17,520 --> 00:02:21,360 A big weekend, obviously for professional wrestling, big week for professional wrestling. 40 00:02:21,360 --> 00:02:26,880 Coming off of the AW paper view, headed into the WEPLA, everything that was sandwiched in between. 41 00:02:26,880 --> 00:02:32,080 To hype up Summer Slam, to recap and decompress from AW Redemption. 42 00:02:32,080 --> 00:02:35,760 Let's start here, Dr. Terry, with AW Redemption recap. 43 00:02:35,760 --> 00:02:40,160 It was this past Sunday from the Bell Center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. 44 00:02:40,160 --> 00:02:45,040 The results we have the conglomeration, defeating a lethal twist to retain the AW World Trio's 45 00:02:45,040 --> 00:02:45,520 championship. 46 00:02:45,520 --> 00:02:49,920 They obviously ended up dropping that to the demand this past Wednesday on Dynamite. 47 00:02:49,920 --> 00:02:53,120 Speedball Mike Bailey defeats Jack Perry, Commander of the Beast Mordos, Nick Wayne, 48 00:02:53,120 --> 00:02:57,120 and El Clone in a six-way ladder match to earn an AW International Championship opportunity, 49 00:02:57,120 --> 00:03:00,960 which will be this Wednesday at Grand Slam Mexico on Dynamite. 50 00:03:00,960 --> 00:03:05,680 The Young Bucks defeat Will Ospreay and John Moxley, Kyle Fletcher retains the AW International 51 00:03:05,680 --> 00:03:10,480 Championship against Bandino, the dogs, David Finley and Clark Honors defeat the Bag-Bang-Gang 52 00:03:10,480 --> 00:03:13,200 of Jay White and Juice Robinson in a double chain match. 53 00:03:13,200 --> 00:03:16,560 My world defeats the Carl Sheeted to win the TBS Championship, 54 00:03:16,560 --> 00:03:21,280 Cope and Kade to defeat Pock and Claudio Cassing, only to retain the AW World Tag Team Championship. 55 00:03:21,280 --> 00:03:24,800 The pain maker Chris Jericho defeats the Mosul Champion and holds Bard Match, 56 00:03:24,800 --> 00:03:28,480 Andre El-Elo defeats Mark Davis to win the AW National Championship, 57 00:03:28,480 --> 00:03:32,080 Will Nightingale defeats Teclat to win the AW Women's World Championship, 58 00:03:32,080 --> 00:03:37,200 and Cade Omega defeats Kevin I and the main event to retain the AW World Championship. 59 00:03:37,200 --> 00:03:41,840 Some talking points here, Dr. Trey coming out of redemption. Will Ospreay finally breaks away 60 00:03:41,840 --> 00:03:46,800 from the Death Writers, but Cade Omega still does not trust him. That was a great close for redemption 61 00:03:46,800 --> 00:03:52,240 this past Sunday, and then obviously what we saw with Wednesday, a great back and forth between 62 00:03:52,240 --> 00:03:57,680 Will Ospreay and Cade Omega to set up their match for all in as we are now full steam ahead. 63 00:03:57,680 --> 00:04:02,000 What did you think of the last two seconds there for Will Ospreay and Cade Omega coming 64 00:04:02,000 --> 00:04:05,440 from redemption, as well as the stuff that we saw in Dynamite, whether it be the Ospreay 65 00:04:05,440 --> 00:04:08,960 interactions with the Death Writers or Ospreay interacting with Kenny Omega? 66 00:04:08,960 --> 00:04:15,840 I mean, I love the closer redemption, you know, moxley bringing out the bag again, and this is what 67 00:04:15,840 --> 00:04:22,000 I loved this segment because it harped back to the Bryan Daniels and stuff, and it gave Ospreay 68 00:04:22,000 --> 00:04:28,560 a chance to break away. So I like that. It also, once again, kind of clearly defines the Death Writers 69 00:04:28,560 --> 00:04:34,640 as he owes again and not that. Well, John's kind of a good guy, but Pox a bad guy, you know, 70 00:04:34,640 --> 00:04:40,880 it once again kind of gives those clear defined roles, which most old people like me like to have. 71 00:04:40,880 --> 00:04:45,920 I still don't like shades of gray. The interaction on Dynamite, I thought was really good 72 00:04:45,920 --> 00:04:52,960 with Ospreay and Kenny going back and forth into slaps from Kenny into Ospreay fired up. 73 00:04:52,960 --> 00:05:00,800 Like all that to me once again was really good. Plus it sets the line of Omega and Ospreay is like 74 00:05:00,800 --> 00:05:09,760 professional rivals and one guy just wanting to be better. So you don't need the deep storyline 75 00:05:09,760 --> 00:05:15,920 unless you want to dig into it, but it also sets the background of like what's moxley's going to 76 00:05:15,920 --> 00:05:22,640 roll going to be in this as well because this now by proxy has put him back into the main event 77 00:05:22,640 --> 00:05:28,960 title pictures. Well, the only thing I didn't like was Ospreay struggling to fight the plastic bag. 78 00:05:28,960 --> 00:05:36,400 Yeah, hey, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose some. I liked what happened this past Sunday 79 00:05:36,400 --> 00:05:39,600 and on Wednesday. We're recording this before collision. So I don't have anything to add from 80 00:05:39,600 --> 00:05:45,120 collision on Thursday. I just will say I would have liked to see in the Death Writers things play out 81 00:05:45,120 --> 00:05:52,240 a little bit more closer to all in or maybe take place at all in, but you know, they know the 82 00:05:52,240 --> 00:05:58,560 creative better than I do. Dr. Trey maybe getting out of this now makes sense, but you know, that's kind 83 00:05:58,560 --> 00:06:03,120 of the issue that I have with AW at times when it comes to the creative is they'll have some really 84 00:06:03,120 --> 00:06:10,000 good stuff. And then you they like abort the mission like way too early. And that's what I felt 85 00:06:10,000 --> 00:06:15,680 like here with Ospreay and the Death Writers. Yeah, I mean, I could have easily seen them still play 86 00:06:15,680 --> 00:06:21,520 up the moxley influence all the way to London. And then if Ospreay loses, hey, it's a natural 87 00:06:21,520 --> 00:06:27,280 progression for him to kind of like from moxley to say you failed us. Lava blot if Ospreay wins, 88 00:06:27,280 --> 00:06:33,200 you know, mox wants a shot. You know, there's a natural tie into it kind of aborting this early, 89 00:06:33,200 --> 00:06:39,520 just kind of makes you feel like it doesn't give it a clear path, which maybe for some folks like 90 00:06:39,520 --> 00:06:49,760 we having that ambiguity to the situation is great, but not that I want to know the story progression, 91 00:06:49,760 --> 00:06:57,200 but I kind of want to see a path to where it's going so to speak. Maybe this is a situation, Dr. Trey, 92 00:06:57,200 --> 00:07:06,640 where it leads to Ospreay like siding with the the the death writers again. Like I think that's 93 00:07:06,640 --> 00:07:13,600 a possibility in this entire thing. Like that wouldn't surprise me. I do think to myself like that 94 00:07:13,600 --> 00:07:19,040 may not be the direction they want to go because you know, Ospreay has got to be the hometown boy 95 00:07:19,040 --> 00:07:24,720 in London, England and there's enough of that type of reaction than they don't really need to play 96 00:07:24,720 --> 00:07:30,080 out the death writers thing, but I do think that the window is cracked open here for a reunion of 97 00:07:30,080 --> 00:07:36,480 sorts between Ospreay and the death writers. Anything it could always be a swirp. I mean, you could always 98 00:07:36,480 --> 00:07:42,960 add, I mean, the wrestler, but it could always be a swirp. Yeah, that break up, you know, was actually 99 00:07:42,960 --> 00:07:50,160 a ploy for Ospreay to use the death writers to win and London and Ospreay could easily say, look, 100 00:07:50,160 --> 00:07:57,200 I was sincere in what I did at redemption, but the way Kenny acted towards me made me realize 101 00:07:57,200 --> 00:08:03,600 John was right all along. And then you can kind of play back into that. I just have this feeling that 102 00:08:03,600 --> 00:08:09,200 Ospreay defeats Omega at all and Omega goes away for a little bit and we get Ospreay moxly feud for 103 00:08:09,200 --> 00:08:16,160 like the last couple of months of 2026. That's what it just feels like to me is pass the end of the torch. 104 00:08:16,160 --> 00:08:21,840 Omega goes away for a little bit, takes some time off, whatever. And that's what we get with Will Ospreay. 105 00:08:21,840 --> 00:08:26,320 Other talking points that came out of redemption, Dr. Trey did Kevin Knight come out of the main roster, 106 00:08:26,320 --> 00:08:31,280 excuse me, the main event looking like a bigger star. He pushed Omega throughout the match, survived 107 00:08:31,280 --> 00:08:36,240 several major attacks and nearly stole the championship after handing Crash Landing onto the TNT title. 108 00:08:36,240 --> 00:08:40,320 Omega ultimately retained with the one wing in Angel, but the discussion is whether night was elevated 109 00:08:40,320 --> 00:08:44,960 or overshadowed by the post-match Ospreay angle. What do you think? Did Kevin Knight come out of the 110 00:08:44,960 --> 00:08:54,000 main event looking like a bigger star? In ring, yes, with the surrounding storyline. No, because 111 00:08:54,000 --> 00:09:01,920 you kind of blew up his spot with the post-match angle. You know, I would have been perfectly fine with 112 00:09:01,920 --> 00:09:08,400 like Kenny retaining, slowly walking back to ring, just kind of giving Kevin Knight the nod, 113 00:09:08,400 --> 00:09:12,240 you know, or saying, "But then he and Knight's a heal and maybe you don't want to 114 00:09:12,240 --> 00:09:18,160 elevate him storyline-wise, given everything else we can all end." I think in ring wise, he showed 115 00:09:18,160 --> 00:09:25,680 he can hang with Kenny Omega. And that's for me, if I'm looking at that show and this is my talent, 116 00:09:25,680 --> 00:09:30,880 that's what I'm looking for the most. Can this guy stand in the ring with Kenny Omega in the 117 00:09:30,880 --> 00:09:38,080 main event of the paper view? Physically and technically look the part, we can always add in a storyline 118 00:09:38,080 --> 00:09:43,920 later on to make him a bigger star. I just want to make sure the spot isn't too big for the kid, 119 00:09:43,920 --> 00:09:49,920 and he did a great job in this. Three championship changes reshaped AW heading in, heading towards 120 00:09:49,920 --> 00:09:54,960 all in, Willow overcame, Sky Blues interference of Pentechla with the backside, backslide to capture the 121 00:09:54,960 --> 00:09:59,120 AW Women's World Championship. Maya World upset her car or she'd on her birthday to capture her first 122 00:09:59,120 --> 00:10:03,840 AW Championship. And Roddy won his first AW title by defeating Mark Davis while Willow's victory 123 00:10:03,840 --> 00:10:09,760 placed her directly to one of all in's featured matches. Dr. Tre, what do you think of the three championship 124 00:10:09,760 --> 00:10:17,040 changes and how will it affect all in here towards the end of the month? I like Willow winning. 125 00:10:17,040 --> 00:10:23,440 I don't like how they had her win. I mean, when was the last time you saw something when it titled 126 00:10:23,440 --> 00:10:30,880 the backslide? Yeah, it's got to be like the early 90s. Yeah, I like I'll tell my head. I'm like, I'm thinking like 127 00:10:30,880 --> 00:10:36,640 was it worth like Texas wrestling or like that's how far back my brain would. I'm like I can't even 128 00:10:36,640 --> 00:10:43,040 realize was it a Ricky steamboat match? Like that's how far back my brain wins. I mean, Willow's a big 129 00:10:43,040 --> 00:10:49,840 thick girl and to have a big strong thick person win with that type of maneuver kind of 130 00:10:50,880 --> 00:10:57,440 lessons the gravity of what they actually are as an in-rate performer. I mean, you can always have 131 00:10:57,440 --> 00:11:02,720 Fecla make a mistake to lead into the finisher to put her down. We see that all the time. 132 00:11:02,720 --> 00:11:09,840 You don't have to reinvent the wheel. So I like the position because Willow and Mercedes have history. 133 00:11:09,840 --> 00:11:17,200 You know, and that's what you kind of want on the big stage. The Maya Whirl that just kind of 134 00:11:17,200 --> 00:11:22,960 felt like a reward for her doing so well, you know, kind of jumping into the spot in the in the 135 00:11:22,960 --> 00:11:30,720 own cup tournament. I'm just I watched that six person tag match they had a couple of days ago. 136 00:11:30,720 --> 00:11:36,800 I don't get it. I don't see it yet. She's got great energy, but outside of that I don't get it yet. 137 00:11:36,800 --> 00:11:44,800 And the on-draw team like I'm just happy for Andrade the guys. I don't know about you. He feels like 138 00:11:44,800 --> 00:11:50,960 a completely different person this time around as opposed to his last WWE Rod in his previous 139 00:11:50,960 --> 00:11:58,320 AEW. He just feels fresh. He just he feels almost like Andrade NXT. This is the closest thing we've 140 00:11:58,320 --> 00:12:03,600 seen to that since that run. Yeah, I would agree with you Andrade. It definitely seems 141 00:12:03,600 --> 00:12:09,280 the closest to the NXT style of Andrade. I think he's a main event level talent and he just hasn't 142 00:12:09,280 --> 00:12:16,000 tapped into it. And I think that's in a case because there was failures of both AEW and WWE runs. 143 00:12:16,000 --> 00:12:22,320 At times you just got to point that to the person themselves and he just seems so. Yeah. 144 00:12:22,320 --> 00:12:28,160 He also say I don't make a drop. He also needed a gimmick. He needed a hook. And as crazy as 145 00:12:28,160 --> 00:12:35,280 it is, how you know has become that hook to get the audience to buy in there. Yeah, and they're 146 00:12:35,280 --> 00:12:41,360 running with this whole real Latino man thing. Yeah, it's just amazing how like if you find the right 147 00:12:41,360 --> 00:12:48,400 hook and the right catchphrase at the right time. I mean, it's amazing. I saw it something right 148 00:12:48,400 --> 00:12:52,480 there day about Kitt Wilson. How was four months ago? Kitt Wilson was the hottest star in wrestling. 149 00:12:52,480 --> 00:12:59,600 And then I was sitting now. He's in the Danhausen. I don't say even Bore tags, but it's kind of like, 150 00:12:59,600 --> 00:13:04,080 maybe like guys have something really hot and then you kind of killed it. That's usually an AEW thing 151 00:13:04,080 --> 00:13:08,800 with this new on Draughtay. They're like, no, he's hot. Let's run with it and see how far we can go with it. 152 00:13:08,800 --> 00:13:15,200 And it's fans been great. Yeah, I was going to bring up here that like I think how you know is 153 00:13:15,200 --> 00:13:21,280 creeping into top five most annoying taglines. I mean, still what by Steve Austin is, 154 00:13:21,280 --> 00:13:25,760 but it will make him a ton of money. So props to on Draughtay for finding something that's sticking. 155 00:13:25,760 --> 00:13:31,440 And he definitely is looking like he's rejuvenated and motivated as well. The My World stuff, 156 00:13:31,440 --> 00:13:37,360 I mean, I watched the match with Persepity on Don and Mike this past Wednesday. And I'm with you. 157 00:13:37,360 --> 00:13:42,720 I mean, I feel awful what happened to her and her family. I thought it was a nice little Cinderella 158 00:13:42,720 --> 00:13:49,040 run outside of that inring wise microphone stuff as just a fan watching at home. It's just not, 159 00:13:49,040 --> 00:13:55,360 it's not on the same level as some of the others that are in the AEW women's division and props to AEW 160 00:13:55,360 --> 00:14:01,280 for trying to build a new star. I don't know. I just don't know if the if the storyline is 161 00:14:01,280 --> 00:14:06,560 catching with fans. It's not something that like I'm truly interested in to be honest with you because 162 00:14:06,560 --> 00:14:10,560 My World as I've mentioned before on the show since she's had this run own cup all that stuff. 163 00:14:10,560 --> 00:14:16,000 She was working with high-end and tag teams where they would have no introduction. And it was a big 164 00:14:16,000 --> 00:14:20,320 deal when they finally got one on an episode of collision like last summer. And they were basically 165 00:14:20,320 --> 00:14:26,080 jobbers for the tag teams. So for her to come out of nowhere and get this title, it's like I would 166 00:14:26,080 --> 00:14:30,400 like to see in a little bit of a of a nicer client that would have gotten people behind this. But 167 00:14:30,960 --> 00:14:37,600 it is wasn't she so weren't they supposed to be paired up with Mercedes last year? I don't I don't know. 168 00:14:37,600 --> 00:14:43,040 I know she was working with a Fina on a H. Or that was the Renegade twins that were supposed to be 169 00:14:43,040 --> 00:14:48,160 there's that rumor that Mercedes was going to get her a little faction. Maybe it was the Renegade twins. 170 00:14:48,160 --> 00:14:53,520 I remember that. Yeah. Yeah. So I can't remember if it was my and high-end or the Renegade twins. But 171 00:14:53,520 --> 00:14:58,320 it almost hey saying this but it almost feels like a little bit of like a favoritism nod to 172 00:14:58,320 --> 00:15:03,440 Mercedes because they are pretty good friends like Mercedes like Maya's actually said that 173 00:15:03,440 --> 00:15:08,640 Mercedes kind of like you know been a mentor to her since she kind of got on the scene and Mercedes 174 00:15:08,640 --> 00:15:19,680 came back. But yeah I is really really hard to play up a real life death situation into a compelling 175 00:15:19,680 --> 00:15:28,480 storyline. You've seen it. I think the the failures far outweigh the number I mean Chavo after Eddie 176 00:15:28,480 --> 00:15:35,680 died that never really caught fire you know even even the Wyatt 6 after Bray Wyatt. But when you 177 00:15:35,680 --> 00:15:40,720 when you link in that real life family stuff it's really hard. The fans will get behind you for a 178 00:15:40,720 --> 00:15:46,560 little bit but until unless you can't make a genuine connection yourself it's going to die on the 179 00:15:46,560 --> 00:15:52,960 line really. Well yeah I mean I think from a storyline and like human aspect people are happy for her. 180 00:15:52,960 --> 00:15:56,720 I mean I'm a stag that she's she's getting this shine and all that stuff but when you watch it 181 00:15:56,720 --> 00:16:01,920 as a performer it's like I just I don't think it's there yet comparable to from what I'm seeing on 182 00:16:01,920 --> 00:16:09,360 the AW brand or you know any of the WWE NXT brand stuff too it's just it's not there yet but happy for 183 00:16:09,360 --> 00:16:15,040 yeah it's it's a weird thing to talk about because you kind of understand why they're doing it 184 00:16:15,040 --> 00:16:21,680 and you just kind of wish that the talents is what shown through rather than just basically like 185 00:16:21,680 --> 00:16:28,480 trying to really get into this storyline. So anyway there we go. AW Redemption this past Sunday 186 00:16:28,480 --> 00:16:33,920 from Montreal Quebec Canada. Dr. Trey on last week's show we talked about the Summer Slam ticket sales 187 00:16:33,920 --> 00:16:39,360 that were struggling it's a Saturday and Sunday Minnesota Minnesota. It's not just that now it's 188 00:16:39,360 --> 00:16:46,720 AW all in London too. Russell Ticks reported last week the 33,504 tickets were distributed with 8,000 189 00:16:46,720 --> 00:16:53,600 and 39 still available in the current 41,543 seat set up for all in London. The complete seating 190 00:16:53,600 --> 00:17:01,840 map contains 93,556 seats. There is this viral thing going around that if you have an eligible 191 00:17:01,840 --> 00:17:06,400 blue light card I don't know what that is in the in the UK quite honestly I guess it's for 192 00:17:06,400 --> 00:17:10,880 emergency services healthcare and public service workers not the general public that's what they hand 193 00:17:10,880 --> 00:17:20,880 out in the UK. You can get one dollar and 50 cent pound seats for the tickets. AW has also offered 194 00:17:20,880 --> 00:17:29,200 standard tickets starting around 31 I keeps 31 pounds and 70 cents and promotions such as summer 26 195 00:17:29,200 --> 00:17:34,640 for 50% off selected seats WWE meanwhile has promoted summer Slam tickets starting at $25 with 196 00:17:34,640 --> 00:17:42,480 the Jets code. All in added 1,522 distributed tickets over the three days approximately $500 per day 197 00:17:42,480 --> 00:17:46,880 but it remains unclear how much of that increase came from Omega Osprey versus the discounts. 198 00:17:46,880 --> 00:17:54,000 And then the question here Dr. Trey is a 40,000 plus at Wembley a respectable recovery or would 199 00:17:54,000 --> 00:18:01,760 it still feel disappointing compared with the 53,922 tickets distributed for all in London 2024. 200 00:18:03,760 --> 00:18:09,360 It's a letdown. I mean obviously like you would want to think that you're basically building off 201 00:18:09,360 --> 00:18:14,720 your success of your previous endeavors and you kind of it's business. I mean you and I both 202 00:18:14,720 --> 00:18:19,440 work in businesses where like every year like you look back at your last year tolls the company 203 00:18:19,440 --> 00:18:25,760 wants to add 10%. Like it's a letdown but then you have to look at the status of the worldwide 204 00:18:25,760 --> 00:18:33,040 economy and kind of go hey there you almost I don't say it's it's not a COVID era pass but it's like 205 00:18:33,040 --> 00:18:38,800 look every country in the world right now is in some kind of form of financial issues. 206 00:18:38,800 --> 00:18:45,280 Like I don't I don't know if you saw this but like living year in Alabama we have we had the Birmingham 207 00:18:45,280 --> 00:18:49,520 sellings UFL team. They just put out an announcement today that they're moving the stallions out 208 00:18:49,520 --> 00:18:59,520 of Birmingham because we're only drawing like 15,000 people in a 40,000 seat stadium and they're like 209 00:18:59,520 --> 00:19:05,280 we just need you guys to get a smaller stadium. It's like what we got to go smaller that makes no sense 210 00:19:05,280 --> 00:19:10,720 but that's kind of the you know equation I was watching Cubs Cardinals one of the best maybe 211 00:19:10,720 --> 00:19:17,760 second best rivalry in baseball 20,000 people at Bush Stadium. You know it's like that's not normal 212 00:19:17,760 --> 00:19:23,360 like usually it's 30,000, 35,000 people so it does kind of show that it's not just 213 00:19:24,240 --> 00:19:32,000 wrestling being affected it is kind of worldwide but you would think for London to really only get 214 00:19:32,000 --> 00:19:38,960 one big show a year or one big show a two years that they would pull out all the stops to pack the 215 00:19:38,960 --> 00:19:47,600 arena much like it was in 2023 when they did what 70,000 it went well I think they went over 80,000 216 00:19:47,600 --> 00:19:50,720 right because they were saying they defeat they beat the WrestleMania 3. 217 00:19:52,080 --> 00:19:58,240 Yeah so I mean if you're saying you did 80,000 three years ago and now you're only coming in at 40 218 00:19:58,240 --> 00:20:03,760 yeah it's gonna be a disappointment but you also have to look at what the financial status of 219 00:20:03,760 --> 00:20:08,720 everybody around there is right now and hey lowering it for you know you said blue light I thought 220 00:20:08,720 --> 00:20:13,120 it came more but then again I'm old and that's my you know my go-to for blue light specials 221 00:20:13,120 --> 00:20:19,520 but doing something to promote the show among people that normally would be able to come to the show 222 00:20:19,520 --> 00:20:25,360 to try to hook a larger fan base in the long run and they actually be beneficial to them maybe a 223 00:20:25,360 --> 00:20:30,160 year or two from now when they come back to them. I think this is a representation of obviously 224 00:20:30,160 --> 00:20:35,440 ticket sales are way too high I don't think it is reflective fully of the promotion because I think 225 00:20:35,440 --> 00:20:42,560 the I think AW is doing really well I think the car they're putting together is strong I would make 226 00:20:42,560 --> 00:20:49,440 the same case for WWE as well there may be just a little bit of like stadium fatigue right now 227 00:20:49,440 --> 00:20:57,040 and I know for me and my family and and you know I'm not poor by any means but we're cautious with 228 00:20:57,040 --> 00:21:02,160 what how we spend our money especially with children right now and there's I just don't think it's 229 00:21:02,160 --> 00:21:11,120 economically it's it's a good time for people to be showing out $500 ticket for a two-night show 230 00:21:11,120 --> 00:21:16,320 and for WWE this weekend or whatever they're calling it costing it and the same for you know 231 00:21:16,320 --> 00:21:22,000 AW I'm not going to London with my family to go watch this show I'd rather watch it at home so I do 232 00:21:22,000 --> 00:21:26,720 think that's a representation right now of kind of the economics of where they're doing these shows 233 00:21:26,720 --> 00:21:33,760 unfortunately and you know overall in the world and and I think WWE and AW need to be mindful of that 234 00:21:33,760 --> 00:21:38,880 I think they need to be mindful that their consumer their customers are not willing to shell out 235 00:21:38,880 --> 00:21:43,200 that type of money we're seeing inflation in plenty of other different places and this is not to 236 00:21:43,200 --> 00:21:47,840 get political or economical or business standpoint but you're seeing that the gas pumps grocery stores 237 00:21:47,840 --> 00:21:52,640 what have you so it's just not it's not an easy time for folks and you know I don't know if I'm 238 00:21:52,640 --> 00:21:58,800 going to take some of my disposable income doctor train go pay you know 40 40 40 40 50 bucks for 239 00:21:58,800 --> 00:22:03,520 you know one ticket for one night and then do it again for the second night it's just it was crazy 240 00:22:03,520 --> 00:22:09,440 it was crazy with what things got and you know I think there's a little bit of maybe stadium fatigue 241 00:22:09,440 --> 00:22:16,080 as well doctor try yeah because I and you you've did you deal with this more than or things that I do 242 00:22:16,080 --> 00:22:24,560 in Alabama says but like like it's not easy to get to a stadium venue like there's traffic there's 243 00:22:24,560 --> 00:22:31,360 headaches now you gotta jump 50 60 70 bucks for parking a two night event you're dumping in another 244 00:22:31,360 --> 00:22:36,560 because trust me the hotel's know what events are going in town so that hotel that's normally 120 bucks 245 00:22:36,560 --> 00:22:43,600 is now 240 so now you're paying the hotel costs on top of it and then it's super crowded so just 246 00:22:43,600 --> 00:22:50,480 trying to get a nice place to eat while you're there also like there's some like do the benefits 247 00:22:50,480 --> 00:22:56,000 outweigh the difficulties for a lot of folks like you and I where it's like yeah we're not poor but we're 248 00:22:56,000 --> 00:23:02,640 not you know filthy rich like we have to look at all those dynamics when we're deciding whether 249 00:23:02,640 --> 00:23:07,760 or not we want to spend our money to go to a show like for for summer slam like if I could go to 250 00:23:07,760 --> 00:23:13,200 Minnesota would I go probably not because I know it's traveling downtown Minnesota trying to get 251 00:23:13,200 --> 00:23:19,040 to the stadium all of that stuff is a huge headache the cost is there I can stay home and watch it 252 00:23:19,040 --> 00:23:24,880 in the comfort mount home get the food I want if I need to get up and leave and go do something else 253 00:23:24,880 --> 00:23:32,240 I can do it like it's just easier in that experience now WrestleMania comes to Nashville 254 00:23:32,640 --> 00:23:38,240 yeah I'll probably put all the stuff for Nashville but to do something you know four or five 255 00:23:38,240 --> 00:23:45,520 states away or across the pond as people like to say it just the juice is not worth the squeeze 256 00:23:45,520 --> 00:23:50,640 absolutely not absolutely not so it's just weird times right now for for wrestling shows take it 257 00:23:50,640 --> 00:23:55,440 wise and hopefully some of both companies really take taking to account with how people are spending 258 00:23:55,440 --> 00:24:01,360 their money right now uh dr. Tray there's some pressure coordinate reports on Nikon 259 00:24:01,360 --> 00:24:05,920 and triple H that may be looming here and we'll rest in entertainment the rest of the news letter reports 260 00:24:05,920 --> 00:24:12,080 that 2028 could become a major checkpoint if WWE's ratings remain weak TKO leadership including 261 00:24:12,080 --> 00:24:17,280 Mark Shapiro may begin applying greater pressure to Nikon and triple H Paul Leveck J.F. U. Morgan 262 00:24:17,280 --> 00:24:22,560 reportedly considers that fan dissatisfaction worth monitoring but not yet a structural business problem 263 00:24:22,560 --> 00:24:27,120 premium live event viewing appears to be growing while raw ratings are declining year over year 264 00:24:27,840 --> 00:24:32,240 our traditional television ratings so the proper measuring stick when WWE's audience is 265 00:24:32,240 --> 00:24:37,920 increasingly divided across broadcast television Netflix ESPN and other platforms the larger concern 266 00:24:37,920 --> 00:24:42,960 is whether online dissatisfaction eventually becomes lower viewership we could ticket demand 267 00:24:42,960 --> 00:24:49,520 declining merchandise sales or subscription at churn i think the big question here dr. Tray 268 00:24:49,520 --> 00:24:55,280 does triple H need to change WWE's creative direction now or are the companies revenue and premium 269 00:24:55,280 --> 00:25:02,320 live event numbers strong enough to stay the course i think for me if i was running a business you 270 00:25:02,320 --> 00:25:08,000 gotta look at revenue and not just you have to also factor in the cost the increase cost of it 271 00:25:08,000 --> 00:25:13,200 dear god this is turning into a business podcast it is but when you're looking at like the cost 272 00:25:13,200 --> 00:25:17,520 of inflation you know we've talked about years before they're like this was the biggest gate ever 273 00:25:17,520 --> 00:25:23,840 well yeah you're charging three times as much for a ticket as you were 10 years ago so if you get 274 00:25:23,840 --> 00:25:29,920 if you get half the audience you're making more money for me it would be like it would be buy rates it 275 00:25:29,920 --> 00:25:36,800 would be uh netflix contract viewership on raw and you see how many eyeballs are getting on it 276 00:25:36,800 --> 00:25:44,080 you can see it on the on the PLEs you can see it in uh amount of merchandise sold and may not be 277 00:25:44,080 --> 00:25:50,240 the actual revenue numbers but like hey how many shirts is Dan houses selling right now versus what 278 00:25:50,240 --> 00:25:56,480 Cody was selling two years ago are those numbers comparable or are those numbers way down like that 279 00:25:56,480 --> 00:26:01,440 those are the metrics i would kind of look at uh before you look at viewership because of your ship 280 00:26:01,440 --> 00:26:06,080 we've been bitching about viewership since streaming era and all that stuff started coming into play 281 00:26:06,080 --> 00:26:12,960 because you know hbo max does not give out viewership numbers uh peacock did not give out how many viewers 282 00:26:12,960 --> 00:26:17,280 there really was and then there's always that delayed reviewers like yeah we can see how many 283 00:26:17,280 --> 00:26:21,360 people are tuning in live but we're not we don't really know how many people are watching it on the 284 00:26:21,360 --> 00:26:26,800 replay on the backside so you the numbers are going to be skewed because the viewing habits are 285 00:26:26,800 --> 00:26:33,680 so different so but you can track it on the metrics of like items shipped or items sold or ticket 286 00:26:33,680 --> 00:26:38,720 sold or things like that you can still track it that way um because that will be a much more key 287 00:26:38,720 --> 00:26:45,600 indicator of how well you're probably connected uh and then here next topic dr. trade to discuss 288 00:26:45,600 --> 00:26:51,280 as uh things have been looking bleak and back to back i think there was a bright spot moment this past 289 00:26:51,280 --> 00:26:57,600 Tuesday night when grace and waller cut his own little pipe bomb promo to open up NXT this week 290 00:26:57,600 --> 00:27:01,680 waller made a surprise NXT return and admitted that the previous two years of his career had been an 291 00:27:01,680 --> 00:27:06,640 embarrassment immediately presenting this as a personal reset uh he attacked awesome theory as the 292 00:27:06,640 --> 00:27:11,120 weak link of eight down down under described his time alongside the new day as a comedy role that 293 00:27:11,120 --> 00:27:16,160 was killing his career waller called nxc men's division softening a place in arguing that the women were 294 00:27:16,160 --> 00:27:20,880 out performing them and that very few men were ready for the main roster he ignored producers ordered a 295 00:27:20,880 --> 00:27:25,760 wrap up challenge on michael's to stop him and target at nxc champion Tony de angelo and newcomer 296 00:27:25,760 --> 00:27:31,760 the former mike santa and now known as cruise montana did one promo instantly restore waller's 297 00:27:31,760 --> 00:27:37,600 credibility and should this become a permanent nxc run built around an eventual championship match 298 00:27:40,000 --> 00:27:43,760 does one promo changes correct is no because honestly he was cutting a lot of 299 00:27:43,760 --> 00:27:49,360 i don't want to say shoot style promos during his first xt run but he was much more off the cuff 300 00:27:49,360 --> 00:27:57,280 than what he was when he got the main roster i if the promos great but he loses his first four matches 301 00:27:57,280 --> 00:28:03,680 does the promo matter um you know the old ww thing was always like wins and losses don't matter 302 00:28:03,680 --> 00:28:08,000 but credibility does you can be allowed mouth but if you lose every single match nobody's going to 303 00:28:08,000 --> 00:28:16,000 take you seriously this you almost have to be a completely different version of yourself is 304 00:28:16,000 --> 00:28:21,120 i think that is still yet to be determined where they go the grace of the waller but i mean you and 305 00:28:21,120 --> 00:28:25,680 i like i think he even said in that promo like he felt like there was always something missing 306 00:28:25,680 --> 00:28:30,720 i've said the same thing about grace of all and i athletically charisma wise he's got all those 307 00:28:30,720 --> 00:28:37,600 rules his presentation there's always something out of his the baggy shorts or what like i don't 308 00:28:37,600 --> 00:28:42,880 know if he looked like he was auditioning for a role in white men can't jump to i don't know what it was 309 00:28:42,880 --> 00:28:48,560 but i always feel like the presentation of grace and waller there's always something missing uh 310 00:28:48,560 --> 00:28:55,600 but he has all the other tools it's just can you find the right fit for those tools to really work 311 00:28:55,600 --> 00:29:00,800 hey you kind of forget how much of a silver tongue he has on the microphone he's he kind of great promo 312 00:29:00,800 --> 00:29:06,640 um i do think that this could be a a life changing promo for him um 313 00:29:07,360 --> 00:29:12,720 and what he does from this point forward is going to be extremely telling him what doubta belief 314 00:29:12,720 --> 00:29:17,360 does with him and with how the fans embrace him is going to be very telling he's always had that in him 315 00:29:17,360 --> 00:29:22,480 he's always had that on an xc he's always had that on ron smack down the the the stuff with 316 00:29:22,480 --> 00:29:27,200 eight down down under i i really didn't dislike it at all the stuff of the new day was kind of like a 317 00:29:27,200 --> 00:29:33,360 throw away and i thought it was very very disrespectful that he was shunned away and austin theory got 318 00:29:33,360 --> 00:29:38,720 the shine on the vision because i think grace and waller's just as talented like i think he would have 319 00:29:38,720 --> 00:29:44,000 been great for the vision pairing up with logan paul austin theory brown breaker bronzer re what have 320 00:29:44,000 --> 00:29:52,880 you um so he gets that reset in xc and and sometimes we we see this reset work in an xc like fin 321 00:29:52,880 --> 00:29:57,760 baler and then there are times dr. tray that this reset does not work we've seen that with a polo 322 00:29:57,760 --> 00:30:02,720 cruise we've seen that with baron corbin it led to releases for both those guys one who is now 323 00:30:02,720 --> 00:30:09,280 back in on the summer slam card somehow um so i mean this is this is across from moment but for the 324 00:30:09,280 --> 00:30:16,800 first night back in nxt uh this is a a huge step forward and we will see where things go i i think 325 00:30:16,800 --> 00:30:21,840 he's a guy that's marketable i think he's a guy that could be a great heal in do we we i think he's 326 00:30:21,840 --> 00:30:26,800 the closest thing to that natural heal that we see from like an mjf i think there's certainly 327 00:30:26,800 --> 00:30:32,560 comparables there um and i'm happy for grace waller i find him entertaining and i find him talented 328 00:30:32,560 --> 00:30:37,680 and i hope this is is the right step forward for grace waller as he cut an amazing promo 329 00:30:37,680 --> 00:30:42,640 to open up nxt this past Tuesday it's just it's funny how you answered it dr. tray it's like uh no i 330 00:30:42,640 --> 00:30:46,880 mean i i knew that was in there i think a lot of people were surprised because they've forgotten but 331 00:30:46,880 --> 00:30:52,160 i'm with you like i knew that was in there for grace waller yeah i mean that's what god i'm never 332 00:30:52,160 --> 00:30:57,360 sitting in in the beginning it was it was his promo he's a natural on the microphone um 333 00:30:58,240 --> 00:31:04,400 what i was gonna say also about the promo is the promo itself like we know that was not a shoe promo 334 00:31:04,400 --> 00:31:09,920 like he did not come up some of that stuff was i mean i'm sure that he put his own spin on it but some 335 00:31:09,920 --> 00:31:15,520 of the things that he was pointing out also means that yeah wwe does pay attention to your social 336 00:31:15,520 --> 00:31:21,200 media wwe does pay attention to their their consumers because a lot of the things he was saying is 337 00:31:21,200 --> 00:31:27,360 things that we have seen people post online like oh tony dee got the shot because everybody else 338 00:31:27,360 --> 00:31:32,720 was gone like he was the last man in the room so they gave him the belt you know you and i have said 339 00:31:32,720 --> 00:31:38,240 you're saying yeah the the women are running laps around the men in nxt and they're run and that 340 00:31:38,240 --> 00:31:45,760 comes out so it does show that although we may not always agree with that with wwe does they do pay 341 00:31:45,760 --> 00:31:54,240 attention into their consumers because promos like that show they pay attention uh so dr. tray we 342 00:31:54,240 --> 00:32:00,080 are sandwiched in between a big uh two shows from a w and summer slam this this week um at the end 343 00:32:00,080 --> 00:32:07,120 of the month we'll have what i would say is a w's answer to resolmania in all in london um summer 344 00:32:07,120 --> 00:32:13,280 slam is the second biggest show of the year for wwe i think wwe in their minds knows or thinks it's 345 00:32:13,280 --> 00:32:20,000 comparable uh a one you know like a one b to the one a that is resolmania since it's a two night 346 00:32:20,000 --> 00:32:25,120 event a hell of the summer and we've got some really strong men's main events we've got rains and 347 00:32:25,120 --> 00:32:30,800 ralands pumpkin roads and omega and osprey and i want to talk a little bit about ranking each one 348 00:32:30,800 --> 00:32:34,960 of these these main event matches on the men's side you got Roman rains versus Seth ralands that 349 00:32:34,960 --> 00:32:39,760 offers the deepest personal history dating back to the shield ralands wrestle many betrayals and 350 00:32:39,760 --> 00:32:45,760 the unresolved 2022 Royal rumble finish cm punk versus Cody roads is a genuine dream match and 351 00:32:45,760 --> 00:32:51,120 their first one on one meeting in nearly 18 years we the underspeed wwe championship on the line 352 00:32:51,120 --> 00:32:55,040 kennel mega versus will osprey completes their trilogy at wembley stadium with the eight of a 353 00:32:55,040 --> 00:33:00,000 world championship and osprey's long-awaited coordination potentially on the line i want to rank 354 00:33:00,000 --> 00:33:05,440 all three based on storyline star power championship stakes and expected match quality uh which will be 355 00:33:05,440 --> 00:33:10,240 the best match which feels like the bigger spectacle and which outcome is the hardest to predict so 356 00:33:10,240 --> 00:33:19,360 three two one how do you see it the way you broke that down is really difficult if i'm going off 357 00:33:19,360 --> 00:33:25,920 star power i'm probably going in kody and pop number one if i'm going off storyline it might be 358 00:33:25,920 --> 00:33:32,800 set the enrollment and if i'm going off expected in-ring action it might be osprey and omega so it 359 00:33:32,800 --> 00:33:38,960 is kind of a toss up for me personally the way i'm ranking these right now i have ralands and rains 360 00:33:38,960 --> 00:33:45,040 number one just because of the history of their rivalry the expected in-ring action and then 361 00:33:45,040 --> 00:33:52,240 i need to go with the fallout of this is going to be which part who's the actual baby face here 362 00:33:52,240 --> 00:33:58,000 in this whole thing and where do their characters go from here i got omega and osprey actually at number 363 00:33:58,000 --> 00:34:04,560 two because their their rivalry is pretty strong going back to new japan in ringwise they're 364 00:34:05,360 --> 00:34:12,640 arguing to the top five in the world and star power wise these are two of their three biggest stars 365 00:34:12,640 --> 00:34:19,520 right now so and then i have uh punk and roads coming in at number three because other than personal 366 00:34:19,520 --> 00:34:27,760 rivalry and a little the a w story that you can't really allude to uh and punks in ringwork hasn't been 367 00:34:27,760 --> 00:34:35,280 fantastic since he came back to w it's been solid above average but not as good as you know he was 368 00:34:35,280 --> 00:34:42,320 15 years ago obviously so i'd have them number three i think for me i would have number three 369 00:34:42,320 --> 00:34:48,320 it's a tough it's a tough call i think it's number three is rains ralands 370 00:34:48,320 --> 00:34:56,160 two is osprey omega one punk and roads because i think that they're and the way i'm looking at this is 371 00:34:56,160 --> 00:35:02,400 the possibilities at the shows themselves and what the fallout is i think the fallout for punk 372 00:35:02,400 --> 00:35:08,240 roads could be something special like i think it could be a top storyline we talk about on next week's 373 00:35:08,240 --> 00:35:11,920 show i think there's a lot of people thinking that potentially something major may happen out of 374 00:35:11,920 --> 00:35:16,480 the match i think rains ralands just pushes the bloodline storyline forward and like i said earlier 375 00:35:16,480 --> 00:35:21,280 i feel like osprey omega like i just see the torch pass to osprey omega goes away for a little bit 376 00:35:21,280 --> 00:35:26,080 osprey goes into a new feud like i don't think this isn't a follow up at all out in chicago and i 377 00:35:26,080 --> 00:35:31,920 maybe totally wrong so that's why when i went three rains ralands two osprey omega one punk roads what 378 00:35:31,920 --> 00:35:38,000 was your three two one again so i had your i had the wwe matches flipped i had an ome 379 00:35:38,000 --> 00:35:45,120 osprey two but i had rains ralands one punk roads three mainly because i don't think we're getting the 380 00:35:45,120 --> 00:35:51,120 coat the only reason for me punk and roads would be number one is if i thought we were getting the 381 00:35:51,120 --> 00:35:58,080 Cody yields heard i just don't think we're getting the end um they got a shake of tv right they got a 382 00:35:58,080 --> 00:36:04,800 shake of tv yeah but i'm more intrigued by what we're not i don't say i'm intrigued it's because 383 00:36:04,800 --> 00:36:13,280 there's more moving parts with the bloodline stuff um in the sense of you have the usos and Jacob 384 00:36:13,280 --> 00:36:21,840 basically playing heels to li9 solo seco which by the way solo fantastic baby face not in 385 00:36:21,840 --> 00:36:30,400 he is he is how far he's gone in the last two and half solo dolo yeah and and roise he's so you have 386 00:36:30,400 --> 00:36:36,640 you have the bloodline playing heel in that match romans kind of been the heel in this storyline but 387 00:36:36,640 --> 00:36:42,400 then you had to mass square garden thing where he's kind of the baby face i i just and then what do 388 00:36:42,400 --> 00:36:48,160 you do is Seth after this you know this this Seth turn heel the Seth rejoining the vision like where 389 00:36:48,160 --> 00:36:57,760 does that go like i'm just the the there's so many branches to what that has maybe more so than 390 00:36:57,760 --> 00:37:04,080 Cody and punk um that's just why maybe and then you know we saw it you know last Friday night 391 00:37:04,080 --> 00:37:10,640 rains gets the chair to emulate you know the shield turn from you know a decade ago because he's 392 00:37:10,640 --> 00:37:16,080 still harping on that and it's sets the one guy that's been the randy savage to his whole kogan 393 00:37:16,800 --> 00:37:23,040 you know this entire run so i think that's why i have that i think i'm more visited in rolleys rain that i 394 00:37:23,040 --> 00:37:29,920 am punk and Cody right now no no it's it's fair enough i it's going to be interesting you know a month 395 00:37:29,920 --> 00:37:36,240 from now early september where we sit with both those show both the all three of those matches i will 396 00:37:36,240 --> 00:37:43,680 say like the fact that we are having this conversation about these three main event matches also tells 397 00:37:43,680 --> 00:37:50,960 you how far a w's come this year yeah because like it's i mean when i'm splitting these it's really close 398 00:37:50,960 --> 00:37:54,880 like i can't if you if you had said omega osprey one Jeff i couldn't argue with 399 00:37:54,880 --> 00:38:00,560 i i really couldn't it's just personal preference for these three i mean that's how close all 400 00:38:00,560 --> 00:38:04,800 three of these matches are heading into the next couple weeks yeah and i and i would argue that i think 401 00:38:04,800 --> 00:38:09,760 the top matches that they've announced so far for all in are on the level plain field as summer 402 00:38:09,760 --> 00:38:15,760 slam as well so you know i think there's been some ground loss by wwe and some ground gained by w and 403 00:38:15,760 --> 00:38:20,000 that's just a good thing for professional wrestling fans it's just funny economically going on to 404 00:38:20,000 --> 00:38:24,400 the earlier parts of the show where it's like even with all that and and there are obviously 405 00:38:24,400 --> 00:38:28,720 strong points on both shows and there's points on both shows where there's just fresh frustration 406 00:38:28,720 --> 00:38:33,200 it's like fans are still not they're like fatigued a little bit about all these stadium shows 407 00:38:33,200 --> 00:38:38,400 speaking of stadium show dr. tray let's preview and predict wwe summer slam it's a saturday and 408 00:38:38,400 --> 00:38:43,280 sunday from us bank stadium in miniapolis minnesota home with a minnesota viking to have never won a 409 00:38:43,280 --> 00:38:49,440 super bowl uh... sorslam streams at six p.m. eastern on both nights that doesn't sound like a packer's 410 00:38:49,440 --> 00:38:55,600 fan right with six matches scheduled if they didn't know you were a packer fan before they do not 411 00:38:55,600 --> 00:39:01,840 with six matches scheduled for saturday and six for sunday saturday is headlined by cm punk defending 412 00:39:01,840 --> 00:39:06,560 against kody roads and the third broccalizer oba femi match this time inside hell in a cell sunday 413 00:39:06,560 --> 00:39:11,200 is headlined by roman rains defending against saith wrongs along with the latter match to crown 414 00:39:11,200 --> 00:39:16,400 an interim doubly women's champion uh... we've got plenty of great stuff here dr. tray let's 415 00:39:16,400 --> 00:39:22,160 look at the saturday show august first and give our predictions let's start with the bell twins 416 00:39:22,160 --> 00:39:29,120 and page taking on fatal influence uh... in a six woman tag team match i'll start first i'm 417 00:39:29,120 --> 00:39:34,240 going to take the bell twins and page in this one dr. tray yeah i'm taking the bell twins and 418 00:39:34,240 --> 00:39:38,480 page as well because that's how you get the bell is back after the tag belt and you can kind of 419 00:39:38,480 --> 00:39:42,880 move page off on to something else and give her some rest so yeah i'm taking the bell twins 420 00:39:42,880 --> 00:39:51,200 the bell twins and page as well uh... next night is elay night solosako and rois kis taking on the 421 00:39:51,200 --> 00:39:58,080 bloodline jg of hot two and the usos dr. tray who do you like in this one i'm taking solo dolo 422 00:39:58,080 --> 00:40:03,440 elay night and rois kis in this one i think the baby face is kind of need a win not so much they need a 423 00:40:03,440 --> 00:40:09,760 win but also you can still play into the disengent of jacob and j uh... and kind of go from there so i'm 424 00:40:09,760 --> 00:40:16,640 taking uh... the the good guys in solo dolo and is nice red suit to get the win uh... i'm with you i 425 00:40:16,640 --> 00:40:21,440 think i well i'm with you in the sense that uh... the the baby face need a win however i am taking 426 00:40:21,440 --> 00:40:26,080 the bloodline jg of hot two and the usos i think there's a turn in this match and i think the turn 427 00:40:26,080 --> 00:40:33,280 is coming from rois kis i think rois kis a lines with the bloodline and joins up with them 428 00:40:33,280 --> 00:40:38,320 despite the new bloodline t-shirt i think everybody feels like solos get a turn on them but you're seeing 429 00:40:38,320 --> 00:40:42,960 reports that the the creatives like shocked at how much the baby face run for solos going over it 430 00:40:42,960 --> 00:40:48,640 was supposed to be very they said it was supposed to be very short which tells me that something was planned 431 00:40:48,640 --> 00:40:56,080 so i'm going to take jg of hot two and the usos in this one uh... next match is gun through take it on 432 00:40:56,080 --> 00:41:01,920 nick all this um props to nick all this magnus whatever you want to call him for getting back in the 433 00:41:01,920 --> 00:41:05,920 ring i hope he shows out i really do there was a great interview we had with christian volet where he got 434 00:41:05,920 --> 00:41:11,040 emotional talking about having this opportunity in this match so i really hope he shows out for for 435 00:41:11,040 --> 00:41:15,840 himself um but with that said you can't bet against got there i'm taking got through in this one 436 00:41:15,840 --> 00:41:23,120 how do you have the gm of smacked down pin the guy who ended the career of johnson yeah like i 437 00:41:23,120 --> 00:41:28,320 this is one of these like yeah i hope nick all like i was a big magnus fan back in tn a days i 438 00:41:28,320 --> 00:41:33,200 love nick all this one the nicest guys and wrestling but yeah like i just i hope he gets a strong 439 00:41:33,200 --> 00:41:39,680 performance but booking wise gun there has to win this match next match is for the women's world 440 00:41:39,680 --> 00:41:44,480 championship and i got a met dr tram disappointed the bill for this one it's live morgan defending against 441 00:41:44,480 --> 00:41:51,120 eo sky who do you like in this one yeah like lit i don't know about you it just and it's it's just it's 442 00:41:51,120 --> 00:41:57,120 odd like i haven't really enjoyed it that much i'm gonna take eo and mainly i'm picking eo because 443 00:41:57,120 --> 00:42:03,120 they put the ic title on ruck out and i just feel like somebody's gonna get somebody in the judgment day 444 00:42:03,120 --> 00:42:08,720 women's size gonna get pissed off and cost to live the match so i'm taking eo sky to win the raw women's 445 00:42:08,720 --> 00:42:15,680 cheek uh i'm gonna take live morgan to retain i think she's having a women's wrestler of the year type 446 00:42:15,680 --> 00:42:24,080 year like eo had uh previous years um dr tre live has been the champion since russ almania over 100 days 447 00:42:24,080 --> 00:42:32,080 now how many title offenses do you think she's had with that championship one she has had none 448 00:42:32,080 --> 00:42:39,520 this seven Saturday will be the first one that's not good booking no it's really not and that's 449 00:42:39,520 --> 00:42:43,600 and that's why it's like if you're not gonna have her defend the title or not have a little guy like 450 00:42:43,600 --> 00:42:48,880 john like a strong champion put the belt on eo have rock sand cost or the match then you can 451 00:42:48,880 --> 00:42:53,520 have live in rock sand and do eo with somebody else just to kind of break up the monotony of the blood 452 00:42:53,520 --> 00:42:57,920 of the judgment day a little bit so yeah i knew it was law i couldn't remember if she actually had 453 00:42:57,920 --> 00:43:05,680 wrestled um liar up for the title or not like after that Stephanie ruck el match so i couldn't 454 00:43:05,680 --> 00:43:11,120 remember next match here is how on a cell it's oba femey taking on Brock Lesnar dr tre i'm taking 455 00:43:11,120 --> 00:43:15,760 to open this one this is reminiscent to me the Cody Rhodes Brock stuff i mean it only 456 00:43:16,560 --> 00:43:22,800 it like Brock's going away for a little bit put over oba hell on a cell in his hometown uh they said 457 00:43:22,800 --> 00:43:28,320 Brock is not retire he may wrestle again and the next time we may see him will be in early 2027 458 00:43:28,320 --> 00:43:33,680 following this one so you know pass the torch let'll run with it and let his build continue on in 459 00:43:33,680 --> 00:43:40,160 the rest of 2026 i don't know how you Jeff i want to even though you're a packer fan i kind of 460 00:43:40,160 --> 00:43:46,080 want to see Brock wear his like in jersey to the ring number 69 i pay now yeah i want to see if he's 461 00:43:46,080 --> 00:43:51,840 i want to see if he's still got that line around i'm with you i'm taking oba oba has shown if not only can 462 00:43:51,840 --> 00:43:57,840 can the guy win a king or any tournament can he hang he's showing that he can he can headline a uh uh uh 463 00:43:57,840 --> 00:44:05,760 you know one b pay per view with a guy like Brock Lesnar i mean he's he's held his own in this feud 464 00:44:05,760 --> 00:44:11,520 so i'm taking oba as well uh and then finally in the main event here you've got CM Punk defending the 465 00:44:11,520 --> 00:44:15,120 end speed of WWE championship against Cody Rhodes dr. Trey who do you like in this one 466 00:44:15,120 --> 00:44:25,680 i'm this hard i'm gonna take punk just because you just put the belt on him so to me that means you had 467 00:44:25,680 --> 00:44:33,760 a storyline in mind you had a path in mind so i'm gonna take punk retaining uh as summer slam i 468 00:44:33,760 --> 00:44:40,240 don't know where the storyline go i don't know i don't think you turn Cody heel here i think you 469 00:44:40,240 --> 00:44:47,520 cycle sammy back up to challenge punk so uh i'm taking i'm taking punk to retain i'm gonna take punk 470 00:44:47,520 --> 00:44:52,720 to retain as well i don't feel like this is 1998 where it just goes person to person every month where 471 00:44:52,720 --> 00:44:58,320 it would go from Cody to sammy to punk to Cody in like almost a one month span so i'm with you i 472 00:44:58,320 --> 00:45:02,000 i'm in agreement with all your thoughts there that you you put this title on punk for a reason and 473 00:45:02,000 --> 00:45:06,480 the reports after punk won the championship was the expectation is he'll have a pretty decent run 474 00:45:06,480 --> 00:45:10,880 with it that universal NBC universal wanted him back on television we'll have a chance with the 475 00:45:10,880 --> 00:45:16,240 championship and here we are so i'm taking CM Punk as well to retain the end speed of WWE championship 476 00:45:16,240 --> 00:45:20,480 and then that takes us to night two on august the second this sunday dr. Trey you have trick 477 00:45:20,480 --> 00:45:24,560 Williams defending against baron corporate for the united states championship i hope they push 478 00:45:24,560 --> 00:45:29,040 this a little bit more on smack down this friday because basically it's been some stuff that you just 479 00:45:29,040 --> 00:45:37,200 see on um television like excuse me on social media after the show is over or brief run and uh 480 00:45:37,200 --> 00:45:41,920 with that said i don't think you bring baron carbon back to to lose so i'm gonna take baron 481 00:45:41,920 --> 00:45:47,680 corp and to shock the world here and become united states champion yeah i went back and forth on 482 00:45:47,680 --> 00:45:51,440 this one because i mean trick just got the belt to wrestle mania so he's only had the belt for 483 00:45:51,440 --> 00:45:57,840 about a hundred as long as lives had her belt he's actually has some defenses um but i'm gonna 484 00:45:57,840 --> 00:46:01,920 take baron corp and because i want to trick and car mellow get back i want to trick mellow get back 485 00:46:01,920 --> 00:46:06,720 together so i want to take baron corp and and maybe because little yaddy turns and little yaddy sides 486 00:46:06,720 --> 00:46:12,000 of baron corp and we get happy corp and i don't know i don't know i i'm just taking baron corp and here 487 00:46:12,000 --> 00:46:18,400 um yeah so there you go both of us taking baron corp and um next match is dan house versus 488 00:46:18,400 --> 00:46:23,200 dominant mysterious and i can't believe i'm saying this uh human money is on a pull match 489 00:46:23,200 --> 00:46:29,840 winner take all dr. trahoody lacking this one okay so at least human monies is better than 490 00:46:29,840 --> 00:46:37,040 viagra on a pull which i have seen done and judy bag well on a pull so at least it's human monies 491 00:46:37,040 --> 00:46:44,960 on a pull i don't know how long the dan house thing runs but i don't think it ends here so i'm 492 00:46:44,960 --> 00:46:52,000 gonna take dan house and i just hate that dom was the biggest heal in wrestling six months ago 493 00:46:52,000 --> 00:46:57,920 and now he's in a human monies on the back which i love dan you know you know i love dan house 494 00:46:57,920 --> 00:47:03,360 yes i just don't like sacrificing dominant to dan house and maybe literally man like maybe 495 00:47:03,360 --> 00:47:09,040 dom gets sacrificed and gets executed and they have to cut his hair and shave off his muscles 496 00:47:09,040 --> 00:47:13,920 i just love that too baby face dom i just love that we keep saying human monies on a pull match 497 00:47:13,920 --> 00:47:20,400 it's like w-999 or 2000-2001 i guess i'm taking it no no no wait wait wait wait wait 498 00:47:20,400 --> 00:47:22,960 wait go i don't know i don't know you have not used it 499 00:47:22,960 --> 00:47:27,920 so you just say tell me you have not said human monies though at least once in every day life 500 00:47:27,920 --> 00:47:34,800 since that came or i haven't yet no i haven't really yeah i do it with sammy all time samuel 501 00:47:34,800 --> 00:47:40,640 so you may you may be you may be ahead you may be ahead of me now i'll tell you guys a funny story at 502 00:47:40,640 --> 00:47:45,360 the end of the show okay right on uh next match here is we both take a dan house and next match 503 00:47:45,360 --> 00:47:50,720 is sammy's aim versus fin baller for uh the number one container of the nsb wwe championship um 504 00:47:50,720 --> 00:47:56,800 dr. tr i'm taking fin ball and this one i think it's fin is pushing the ten-year stuff it's been ten 505 00:47:56,800 --> 00:48:01,200 years since he won the championship and i think it's more entertaining with sammy's current character 506 00:48:01,200 --> 00:48:08,720 that he lose this match okay you know i think you got me to change my mind sammy loses because 507 00:48:08,720 --> 00:48:13,760 somebody else screws up and samy blames them so fin wins i can't argue it because we you saw the 508 00:48:13,760 --> 00:48:20,080 the the fin cm punk match from irland uh fin actually i think i'm chris family shows that that was his 509 00:48:20,080 --> 00:48:27,280 fate maybe his favorite or second favorite match he's had in his entire w w run uh they had great 510 00:48:27,280 --> 00:48:33,200 chemistry so and that gives you maybe punk wins to get a couple title defenses on his belt before 511 00:48:33,200 --> 00:48:39,600 the next big things uh comes up into play so you change my mind Jeff i'm gonna take fin baller as well 512 00:48:40,800 --> 00:48:45,040 next match is pentadefending intercontinental championship against chad gable dr. tr i who do you like 513 00:48:45,040 --> 00:48:52,720 uh i i'm gonna take chad gable here it's in minnesota you're on the heels of arguably his break up 514 00:48:52,720 --> 00:49:00,000 excuse me break up performance in triple a um i just don't know if chad stays baby face oh wow 515 00:49:00,000 --> 00:49:06,880 if there's something there's something about his smile that is so dishinguous at times he's great 516 00:49:06,880 --> 00:49:12,160 as a baby face he's just better as a heal but i i see chad gable winning his first intercontinental title 517 00:49:12,160 --> 00:49:18,080 at summer slender i i think he stays baby face right now i think uh the nickelback style theme song 518 00:49:18,080 --> 00:49:23,600 that he has and clapping doing the skull chance and smiling and all that stuff is what they want to do 519 00:49:23,600 --> 00:49:29,280 and i'm i agree with you i'm with everything else i think miniapolis minnesota has home down all that 520 00:49:29,280 --> 00:49:35,040 stuff i think that is the spot for when the i see title so i'm happy for chad gable way way over do 521 00:49:35,040 --> 00:49:39,760 long overdue that this is he's in the spot it'll be his first singles championship which is just absurd 522 00:49:39,760 --> 00:49:44,880 and then the five woman ladder match for the inner drum WWE women's championship something we've 523 00:49:44,880 --> 00:49:49,120 never seen WWE do before you got Tiffany strad and jade carcass all the player Chelsea green and 524 00:49:49,120 --> 00:49:54,000 two we determined no idea who the tbd is yet i think the last time they did an interim champion was like 525 00:49:54,000 --> 00:50:00,560 when punk left in money after money the bank 2011 and they had that little tournament rame is 526 00:50:00,560 --> 00:50:04,080 terrier won the championship then he dropped in the same night on rod john cna so that it was c 527 00:50:04,080 --> 00:50:09,840 numbers as punk it's summer of 2011 and punk return that night i think before that the last time 528 00:50:09,840 --> 00:50:14,640 must have been like razor and shaw michael's 94 i see championship so very few times that we see 529 00:50:14,640 --> 00:50:19,680 the inner interim title thrown around there uh with that said i think this is one of those summer 530 00:50:19,680 --> 00:50:24,160 slam moments after the people are going to be talking about i'm going with Chelsea green to win the 531 00:50:24,160 --> 00:50:30,000 interim w e women's championship yeah i was thinking about this earlier i was like man like you know you 532 00:50:30,000 --> 00:50:35,680 could you could have jade or charlotte win to set up a match between them at the next pay review 533 00:50:35,680 --> 00:50:40,960 which is what they were trying to do for summer slam anyway um Tiffany strad and it's from mini 534 00:50:40,960 --> 00:50:47,600 appalice she's from minnesota like you can't have every minnesota person lose in minnesota but we 535 00:50:47,600 --> 00:50:56,080 picked chaggable so that takes to Tiffany off the page i like the Chelsea pick um because of the 536 00:50:56,080 --> 00:51:05,440 backlash wb kind of got from you know the uh unreal program uh so i'm with you like i i i'm gonna take 537 00:51:05,440 --> 00:51:10,000 i'm going instead of going with my logic i'm gonna go to my heart i really want to see Chelsea wins 538 00:51:10,000 --> 00:51:15,040 i would take Chelsea's world there you go both of us taking Chelsea green uh then that takes us in the 539 00:51:15,040 --> 00:51:20,080 mid event here roman reigns defends the world of weight championship against sathra on stop to try 540 00:51:20,080 --> 00:51:26,800 who do you like in this one i'm taking roman like it's just one of those things it feels like five 541 00:51:26,800 --> 00:51:33,600 years ago it's just hard like it's hard to pick against roman especially when the guy he's wrestling 542 00:51:33,600 --> 00:51:40,960 doesn't need the title um you know this is a i mean set the top guy says a hall of favor he doesn't need 543 00:51:40,960 --> 00:51:48,080 to beat roman i i still kind of feel like whoever beats roman for this title is somebody who either 544 00:51:48,080 --> 00:51:54,480 needs it or we're watching them into the next stratosphere with like a lot of Cody Rhodes you know from 545 00:51:54,480 --> 00:51:59,280 a couple years ago i'm i'm taking roman reigns to retain i'm with you i like your logic i like your 546 00:51:59,280 --> 00:52:02,880 theory behind it as well i'm gonna take roman reigns to retain i think the next person that 547 00:52:02,880 --> 00:52:07,520 deframed him is oboe feme and i don't think that's happening until april and saudi rapian next year unless 548 00:52:07,520 --> 00:52:12,480 the rock decide he wants to come out and wrestle again um so you know we could see that happening again 549 00:52:12,480 --> 00:52:16,560 with like mark shepero and tk i'll really screw up one more main event storyline heading in wrestle 550 00:52:16,560 --> 00:52:21,120 mania so you're gonna have to trade that is our preview and predictions for w e summer sand we 551 00:52:21,120 --> 00:52:26,800 obviously recap interview the show on next week's edition of s r t u uh with that said let's get a 552 00:52:26,800 --> --> 00:53:40,080 so he runs out there he's shooting the gun off and the money is just scatting everywhere 565 00:53:40,080 --> 00:53:50,160 sammy franklin runs up and grabs two of these bills these are million dollar bills so for the last 566 00:53:50,160 --> 00:53:55,360 three weeks or two weeks sammy franklin has been going around to un everybody he's a millionaire 567 00:53:56,160 -->
