- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice shog and welcome to the Naughty but Night Show.
- 0:17Speaker 1: It's Thursday. I'm robed Shooter, and our dear friend Mark
- 0:20Speaker 1: Lupo joins us every Thursday, Loopie, are you there? Hello? Hello,
- 0:25Speaker 1: my friend. Hello, you look bright and fresh again. Mark,
- 0:29Speaker 1: Today a good day ahead of you. What have you
- 0:32Speaker 1: got a great day ahead of me? I have a
- 0:34Speaker 1: busier work day and then I'm going to see some
- 0:36Speaker 1: friends later for for drinks and dinner. Oh, fantastic night.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I love it. Fantastic day. Hey. I hope you're all
- 0:43Speaker 1: having a good day too. If you're not, we've got
- 0:45Speaker 1: a ton of gossip to cheer at. You up, So
- 0:47Speaker 1: let's jump right in. What time is it, my friends?
- 0:49Speaker 1: It is time. This story is fascinating. It's really blowing up.
- 0:54Speaker 1: So there's a new Housewife book out. It's an authorized book.
- 0:57Speaker 1: We should make that very very clear. In fact, it's
- 0:59Speaker 1: even permanent by Andy Cohen's publishing company. So this is
- 1:03Speaker 1: totally authorized. All the housewives were approached to talk to
- 1:08Speaker 1: the author of the book. They were all given their
- 1:11Speaker 1: blessing by Andy Cohen. This is his book once again. Well,
- 1:15Speaker 1: Bethany is slamming the book after she declined to participate,
- 1:20Speaker 1: saying that it is trashing women. So Bethany, who rose
- 1:25Speaker 1: to fame and fortune on the center of a show
- 1:28Speaker 1: that he really is about trashing women, is now pointed
- 1:32Speaker 1: a finger at the latest book for doing the same thing.
- 1:35Speaker 1: She took to social media to say the following sarcastically.
- 1:38Speaker 1: She said, quote, I think we need more stories about
- 1:40Speaker 1: women trashing women, or we can publish a book about it.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Then she went on to add that she felt the
- 1:48Speaker 1: journalist behind the book is very, very respected journalists. His
- 1:52Speaker 1: name is Dave Quinn. He took advantage of the weaknesses
- 1:56Speaker 1: of the franchisees stars. Bethany starred The Real Housewives of
- 2:01Speaker 1: New York from season one to season three, then she
- 2:03Speaker 1: came back I think three, season seven. She came back
- 2:06Speaker 1: through season eleven. So she's made on and off the
- 2:09Speaker 1: show coins a lot. But she's a total tease here,
- 2:12Speaker 1: which is so Bethany. She said that she wouldn't participate
- 2:16Speaker 1: in the book, but she will share her side of
- 2:19Speaker 1: the story guess where on her own podcast. So Bethany
- 2:23Speaker 1: has a podcast that isn't doing quite as well as
- 2:25Speaker 1: I think Bethany expected, But now she's teasing that if
- 2:29Speaker 1: you listen to her podcast, she will reveal her side
- 2:33Speaker 1: of the story. What do you think about all this? Mark,
- 2:36Speaker 1: Oh my god. The first thing that came to mind
- 2:38Speaker 1: is that Bethany is a walking contradiction. Okay, you won't
- 2:42Speaker 1: be a part of the book, but then you'll tell
- 2:44Speaker 1: all the stories on your podcast to get pressed for yourself.
- 2:47Speaker 1: You know, it's just come on, Bethany, the show is
- 2:49Speaker 1: all about It's like it's in good spirits. It's like
- 2:52Speaker 1: when you're trashing each other. It's a reality show, Like,
- 2:55Speaker 1: don't take yourself so seriously? Yeah, she really does, doesn't she?
- 2:58Speaker 1: For years, Bethanie was the queen of trashing all those ladies.
- 3:02Speaker 1: In fact, one of the reasons she's such good reality TV.
- 3:06Speaker 1: She doesn't hold back. Bethany's vicious. Bethany really really went
- 3:10Speaker 1: after those ladies for years, have made a ton of
- 3:13Speaker 1: money about it. But now you know, you can reinvent yourself.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Now she's become very Martha Stewart And it's not like
- 3:20Speaker 1: Bethany to gossip anymore. I get the transition. But then
- 3:24Speaker 1: you can't gossip on your podcast. You can't have it
- 3:27Speaker 1: both ways here, or maybe you can. What is interesting
- 3:29Speaker 1: because I hit the phones though, and sources tell me
- 3:32Speaker 1: Andy Cohen is furious about this because when you trash
- 3:35Speaker 1: The Real Housewives, you are basically trashing him. He is
- 3:39Speaker 1: the executive producer. This is his baby. The Real Housewives
- 3:42Speaker 1: made him a star and made him really rich to her,
- 3:45Speaker 1: and so Bethany is meant to be his friend. Even
- 3:48Speaker 1: though she's no longer on the show, they do have
- 3:50Speaker 1: some relationship with seeing pictures of them together in the Hampton's.
- 3:54Speaker 1: She was always his favorite whenever I would be out
- 3:56Speaker 1: in New York with the Housewives, and he always gravitated
- 4:00Speaker 1: towards Bethany. They really liked each other. However, is she
- 4:03Speaker 1: biting the hand that feeds her? This brings us to
- 4:06Speaker 1: our pole question of the day. Bethany Frankel is trashing
- 4:10Speaker 1: a new book on The Real Housewives that once again
- 4:13Speaker 1: is an authorized book. It is published by Andy Cohen Publications.
- 4:19Speaker 1: In fact, last week, Bravo through the book of party
- 4:22Speaker 1: a capital. I know, I didn't go. I was invited.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I couldn't go that night, but all the Housewives turned up.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Andy turned up. Bravo ran the press line. So it's
- 4:30Speaker 1: their book. It's a Bravo book. So my question is
- 4:35Speaker 1: is Bethany right now? She could be right here. The
- 4:39Speaker 1: book does trash women, but so does the show. Or
- 4:41Speaker 1: is she a hippercrid? Hey, it's a tricky one. Go
- 4:45Speaker 1: vote on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rob or
- 4:49Speaker 1: our Facebook page Naughty goes Hip, and be sure to
- 4:51Speaker 1: check back tomorrow to hear your results. Lippy, what are
- 4:55Speaker 1: you working on that, Rob? I have a very awkward
- 4:58Speaker 1: story to share with you. Sporting okay, So, Adam Levine
- 5:01Speaker 1: is addressing sharp criticism over his reaction to a fan
- 5:05Speaker 1: grabbing him on stage. Okay, So, during Maroon five's performance
- 5:10Speaker 1: at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, Adam had his eyes
- 5:13Speaker 1: closed when a female fan rushed the stage and threw
- 5:17Speaker 1: her arms around him. So it robbed The video in
- 5:21Speaker 1: which he reacted by saying the F bomb and grimacing
- 5:24Speaker 1: as he shook it off. I know it wouldn't viral.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Leading Adam to speak out and respond to claims he
- 5:30Speaker 1: thinks fans are beneath him, Rob, I have a statement
- 5:34Speaker 1: from Adam. I'm want to read it to you. Let
- 5:37Speaker 1: me hear your ad to pressure. I love when you
- 5:38Speaker 1: read a statement. Here we go, Here we go. I've
- 5:41Speaker 1: always been someone that loves, respects, worships fans. Without our fans,
- 5:46Speaker 1: we don't have a job. They say that all the
- 5:48Speaker 1: time to our fans. To think that anyone would believe
- 5:51Speaker 1: that I thought our fans are beneath us or less
- 5:54Speaker 1: than us makes my stomach turn. Rob It went on
- 5:57Speaker 1: to say, I was really stortaled. Sometimes when you're stortled,
- 6:02Speaker 1: you have to shake it off and move on because
- 6:04Speaker 1: I'm doing my job up there, and that's what I
- 6:06Speaker 1: pride myself on. I have feelings about this. I used
- 6:13Speaker 1: to be a really big Ruined Five fan and I
- 6:16Speaker 1: saw them in concert right before the pandemic, and I
- 6:18Speaker 1: can tell you this for certainty, Adam could have not
- 6:22Speaker 1: been any less interested in the fans. It was the
- 6:25Speaker 1: most boring concert I've never been to you. You could
- 6:29Speaker 1: tell him he thinks he's like Mick Jagger. It's like
- 6:31Speaker 1: he does. Come on, he does, he does. I have
- 6:34Speaker 1: a friend that used to work on the Voice, and
- 6:37Speaker 1: he told me of all the people on the Voice
- 6:39Speaker 1: in those red chairs, Adam was the least friendly. He said.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Adam was not very nice. And there's some big stars
- 6:46Speaker 1: that have been in those red chairs. He said, Adam
- 6:49Speaker 1: was always the last to the set and thought of
- 6:51Speaker 1: himself very, very highly. I think one's shocking about this
- 6:54Speaker 1: video because it should be a story about security and
- 6:57Speaker 1: how did a fan get on the stage. But Adam's
- 6:59Speaker 1: reaction was so repulsive. He's so horrified that somebody touched him,
- 7:06Speaker 1: and he literally the videos upon noughty gossip dot com
- 7:09Speaker 1: if you want to check it out. He literally shakes
- 7:12Speaker 1: it off and he walks away as if she's given
- 7:16Speaker 1: him the plague. It's the artist reaction and take a
- 7:20Speaker 1: look at the video. It will change your opinion. And
- 7:22Speaker 1: that's why he issued a statement. And the statement really
- 7:25Speaker 1: should be my goodness, I'm there to perform. We're all happening,
- 7:28Speaker 1: you know, women to have a great time. Obviously we
- 7:30Speaker 1: have security. We've got to check that out. We don't
- 7:33Speaker 1: want anyone to be in any danger. But no, no, no,
- 7:35Speaker 1: The story is this reaction, and I don't think he
- 7:39Speaker 1: can get past it because his natural reaction is discussed
- 7:44Speaker 1: as maya Angel, who says, when someone shows you who
- 7:46Speaker 1: they are, believe them. So we believe you, believe you
- 7:51Speaker 1: do we believe you. Moving long, Laurie Laughlin has apparently
- 7:56Speaker 1: paid for two students to go through college after a
- 8:00Speaker 1: college admission scandal. So Lourie privately arranged for two students
- 8:05Speaker 1: to go through four years of college. According to US Weekly,
- 8:08Speaker 1: she's paid their tuition and expenses, which total about five
- 8:13Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars half a million, which is what she
- 8:16Speaker 1: allegedly paid to get her kids into college as a bribe.
- 8:20Speaker 1: So we can confirm that Laurie did do this. However,
- 8:23Speaker 1: there are no more details. We don't know who got
- 8:26Speaker 1: these grants, we don't know how they were selected, we
- 8:29Speaker 1: don't know the school, we don't know how the payments
- 8:31Speaker 1: were distributed. But we can confirm this happened. You will
- 8:35Speaker 1: remember her and her husband pled guilty in May to
- 8:39Speaker 1: conspiracy charges in connection to securing the fraudulent admission to
- 8:45Speaker 1: her two daughters to the University of Southern California. I
- 8:50Speaker 1: love that she did this, and I saw a love
- 8:53Speaker 1: that we don't really know much about it. I don't
- 8:55Speaker 1: believe she did this for pr It has leaked out,
- 8:58Speaker 1: but I don't think her people we're behind putting this
- 9:01Speaker 1: at Mark. What do you think? Yeah, So I went
- 9:04Speaker 1: on social media last night to kind of see what
- 9:06Speaker 1: other people are saying, and I think much like you Rob.
- 9:08Speaker 1: A lot of the reaction was positive. People are like,
- 9:11Speaker 1: thank you Lorie for doing something right. I'm into it too.
- 9:14Speaker 1: You know, she messed up, she's taken she's taken responsibility
- 9:17Speaker 1: for it, and we have to let people move on
- 9:19Speaker 1: and do better. And that's what she's doing now. I
- 9:22Speaker 1: think she's doing the right thing and putting your money
- 9:24Speaker 1: where your mouth is. It's easier to put out a statement, Adam,
- 9:28Speaker 1: it's much harder to open your checkbook now. Yes, she
- 9:32Speaker 1: has a lot of money, but half a million dollars hurts.
- 9:34Speaker 1: This isn't a five thousand dollar donation that hurts too
- 9:37Speaker 1: for some people, but half a million dollars, she's going
- 9:40Speaker 1: to feel that and for her to do that, And
- 9:42Speaker 1: I love that she did it under under wraps, like
- 9:46Speaker 1: we didn't find out about this by a press release
- 9:49Speaker 1: her PR team and not commenting on this. Yes, it
- 9:52Speaker 1: leaked out, but I believe that this was done for
- 9:55Speaker 1: the right intentions, not for PR. Hey, what's going on
- 9:59Speaker 1: with Doson Cooper? Okay? Anderson Cooper as admitted to adopting
- 10:05Speaker 1: a fake persona on Instagram to help his mom sell artwork.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Let me break this whole thing down for you, Rob.
- 10:11Speaker 1: So in the final years of Gloria Vanderbilt's life, Anderson
- 10:15Speaker 1: Cooper has said an Instagram profile for her to display
- 10:17Speaker 1: her artwork and share stories. So Rob not only to
- 10:21Speaker 1: the account garner more than two hundred thousand followers, she
- 10:24Speaker 1: also created a demand for her artwork and the need
- 10:27Speaker 1: for an assistant to manage the seals and it was crazy.
- 10:30Speaker 1: So then Anderson agreed to handle her direct messages. But
- 10:34Speaker 1: which I don't understand why he would, but but they
- 10:37Speaker 1: both realized he would need an alternate persona because he
- 10:40Speaker 1: was a famous news anchor right for he's one of
- 10:44Speaker 1: the most recognizable of news anchors, like of art the world. Ye,
- 10:47Speaker 1: so Anderson said of his mom, she was like, Okay,
- 10:50Speaker 1: why don't we invent a lady of a certain age
- 10:52Speaker 1: named Monica who was a long time trusted assistant, And
- 10:56Speaker 1: you'd be Monica and answer all the d ms on
- 10:58Speaker 1: Instagram to buy. So that's what he did for three years.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Three years. But wow, here's the thing, you know, Anderson
- 11:06Speaker 1: Anderson is very quirky, and I have a feeling something
- 11:09Speaker 1: tells me he might have enjoyed skipping into the character
- 11:12Speaker 1: of Monica. What do you think absolutely? I screamed, and
- 11:15Speaker 1: he said he. I was literally in Bagdag where he
- 11:18Speaker 1: was reporting for CNN, and he was like DM in people,
- 11:21Speaker 1: would you like a labored white frame with that picture
- 11:23Speaker 1: like it? In between this sort of serious news war
- 11:27Speaker 1: reported he was arranging his mom's affair. I think he
- 11:30Speaker 1: really liked this. Now, let's be honest to Anderson and
- 11:33Speaker 1: Lauria were both very wealthy people. They could have afforded
- 11:36Speaker 1: a part time assistant. They really could have found in Monica.
- 11:39Speaker 1: It didn't have to be Anderson to do this, and
- 11:41Speaker 1: so they could have hired somebody to run the social
- 11:43Speaker 1: media account. I think you're absolutely right. I think he
- 11:46Speaker 1: enjoyed doing this. I think he got a giggle out
- 11:48Speaker 1: of it. But what it does tell you is a
- 11:50Speaker 1: lot of celebrities out there are on social media under
- 11:53Speaker 1: different names. I know at least two really big celebrities
- 11:57Speaker 1: who are on social media. They love checking and you
- 12:00Speaker 1: don't know it's them. There are clue so if you
- 12:03Speaker 1: if you know, it all makes sense, but it would
- 12:05Speaker 1: be almost impossible to find that at That's why I'm
- 12:09Speaker 1: always quite careful about what I say. My rule is,
- 12:13Speaker 1: if I wouldn't say it to your face, I wouldn't
- 12:15Speaker 1: say on social media. And so when I talk about celebrities,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I always pretend on sending it to them, and it
- 12:21Speaker 1: changes the way you write about people or talk about people.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Do you think a lot of celebrities mark on privately
- 12:28Speaker 1: on social media? Of course they are, and they they
- 12:31Speaker 1: say they're not, but they totally are. And it's it's sweet, rabbit,
- 12:34Speaker 1: you say that because the Internet is forever, and people
- 12:37Speaker 1: have feelings and they really have things, and you want
- 12:39Speaker 1: to be kind where you can and quickly before we
- 12:41Speaker 1: get a break. Kevin Smith, who has known Ben Affleck
- 12:44Speaker 1: now for over I think twenty years, he is saying
- 12:49Speaker 1: that Ben looks better than ever now that he's back
- 12:53Speaker 1: with j Lo. So Kevin is a huge supporter of
- 12:57Speaker 1: the reunion of Ben and Jen and he said, quote, dude,
- 13:02Speaker 1: you look so effing hot. And he said, you look
- 13:05Speaker 1: twenty years younger than you ever did, and that's love
- 13:10Speaker 1: and that's what love has done for you. He calls
- 13:13Speaker 1: the two of them getting back together quotes heartwarming, and
- 13:17Speaker 1: he understands why there's so much interest in this couple. Ultimately, though,
- 13:22Speaker 1: he goes on to say, I'm just happy to see
- 13:23Speaker 1: them together again. He deserves it because he's a good guy.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Ben Affleck has a many, many troubles, lots of which
- 13:31Speaker 1: he has been very honest about. But I think Benny's
- 13:34Speaker 1: a good guy. Or my reporting on Ben, this is
- 13:37Speaker 1: a decent troubled but a decent kind man. And I
- 13:41Speaker 1: do believe Mark. Maybe I'm crazy here, maybe I want
- 13:44Speaker 1: to believe this. When you're in love, I do think
- 13:47Speaker 1: you look a little prettier. I think that. Plus, it
- 13:52Speaker 1: might be Jill's secret of the oil horror, it's the
- 13:59Speaker 1: jail glow, that secret. Do you think she's moisturizing him
- 14:04Speaker 1: carefully every night? You know you've got to step up
- 14:06Speaker 1: your game. Oh yeah, he's like puffing the cigarette and
- 14:09Speaker 1: she's lathering up with thee that she's going to get
- 14:11Speaker 1: rid of that cigarette. Jennifer, if you're listening, that cigarette
- 14:16Speaker 1: is not a good look. Jan I don't like the cigarette,
- 14:18Speaker 1: but the rest of the look, I think it is
- 14:21Speaker 1: pretty amazing. He's also now got access to the best
- 14:25Speaker 1: designers in the world, Jennifer. Every designer wants Jennifer to
- 14:29Speaker 1: wear their clothes. Yes, bends a big star, but designers
- 14:31Speaker 1: were not throwing clothes at Ben. Now they are because
- 14:35Speaker 1: these two are probably the most photographed couple in the world.
- 14:39Speaker 1: We agree, Ben, you have never ever looked better. We
- 14:43Speaker 1: all need a little bit of j Lo's olive oil
- 14:46Speaker 1: in our lives. We're going to take a quick break
- 14:50Speaker 1: and we will be right back looking even my show,
- 14:57Speaker 1: I'm rob shooting with that dear friend, Mark Lupo. Halo
- 15:00Speaker 1: be Let's get to the polls. Marks had a fanfare.
- 15:05Speaker 1: So Kim Karnashian has revealed that she's going to hire
- 15:08Speaker 1: a group of advisers when her mommy Chris Jenna, retires.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Not one person can replace Chris. Apparently she needs a group.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Should Kim just manage herself? Let's have a look here,
- 15:19Speaker 1: say no, finding a good manager is really really hard.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I hate to do it, but I'm going to say yes.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I think at this point Kim shouldn't manage herself. What
- 15:30Speaker 1: do you think, Mark, Well, I read somewhere that the
- 15:33Speaker 1: devil works hard, but Chris Jenner works harder, and I
- 15:36Speaker 1: don't think that. I don't think Chris Jenner is going
- 15:38Speaker 1: anywhere for a very long time. You're right, we don't
- 15:41Speaker 1: have to worry about this. Let's not fall out over
- 15:42Speaker 1: this one because it's never going to happen. I think
- 15:45Speaker 1: Kim will retire before Chris Jenner does. Hey, don't forget
- 15:48Speaker 1: to vote on today's polk at a Twitter page at
- 15:51Speaker 1: Naughty Nice Robber or a Facebook page which is Naughty Gossip,
- 15:54Speaker 1: and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
- 15:58Speaker 1: And now it's time for the nicest of the day,
- 16:03Speaker 1: Oh Roberts. Jenna Bush. Jenna. Jenna says she got her
- 16:10Speaker 1: big break because of Hoda copy how Damn explained. So
- 16:15Speaker 1: Jenna and Hoda were sharing their big break stories. Hoda
- 16:18Speaker 1: said she kept going and going and going. She was
- 16:20Speaker 1: getting rejected at every turn. Finally someone in Mississippi accepted
- 16:25Speaker 1: her and hired her. And then Jenna said, well, I
- 16:28Speaker 1: want to share with you who my person is. And
- 16:30Speaker 1: Hodda said, who would that be? And she said it's you.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And she said I was here for years doing a
- 16:36Speaker 1: lot of things. I worked really hard, and I had
- 16:39Speaker 1: producers saying well, you're a correspondent, And Jenna added, you
- 16:43Speaker 1: asked me to fill in with you, and I'll never
- 16:45Speaker 1: forget it. So my want is you. Oh that's really beautiful,
- 16:50Speaker 1: it's really lovely. Think about it in your life. Who
- 16:53Speaker 1: gave you that big break? I've got to say, and
- 16:55Speaker 1: this is really gushy, but it's true. My mom and
- 16:57Speaker 1: dad really gave me my biggest breaks because I had
- 17:01Speaker 1: a lot of disadvantages and they told me to just
- 17:03Speaker 1: never think about them. They really taught me to believe
- 17:06Speaker 1: in myself. And then along the way, I had tons
- 17:09Speaker 1: of people that gave me breaks. J Lo and did
- 17:12Speaker 1: he Kate speed make She's rest in peace. She gave
- 17:15Speaker 1: me huge breaks to what was one of your first
- 17:18Speaker 1: big breaks? Mark, My first big break was convincing a
- 17:22Speaker 1: producer at Live at three Does and Kelly to hire
- 17:24Speaker 1: me as an intern. That's a big break. That's the
- 17:28Speaker 1: course of my life. Shore Absolutely right, isn't it. Those
- 17:32Speaker 1: internships are so important because it's sort of set you
- 17:35Speaker 1: on a path to a journey a life story that
- 17:39Speaker 1: I hopefully is full of wonderment. You're right, that started
- 17:43Speaker 1: you in your fantastic career Mark in TV, so thank
- 17:47Speaker 1: you very much and nicest over the day and now
- 17:50Speaker 1: and naughtiest of the day, Katie Craig is saying that
- 17:55Speaker 1: Princess Diana once told her that she was going home
- 17:58Speaker 1: to an empty house. It's so sad, so Katie said
- 18:01Speaker 1: she had a deep sense of sadness when she met
