- 0:01Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:03Huddle for March 2nd, 2026.
- 0:06A two-minute call from God's playbook to
- 0:09know him better so we can love and obey
- 0:10him more. Let's huddle up and hear
- 0:12today's play from Exodus 34, which says,
- 0:16"Adoni passed before him and proclaimed
- 0:19Adoni as God, merciful and
- 0:22compassionate, slow to anger, rich in
- 0:25grace and truth, showing grace to the
- 0:28thousandth generation, forgiving
- 0:30offenses, crimes, and sins, yet not
- 0:33exonerating the guilty, but causing the
- 0:35negative effects of the parents offenses
- 0:38to be experienced by their children and
- 0:40grandchildren.
- 0:41even to the third and fourth generation.
- 0:44Man, let me ask you something today. Who
- 0:46is God? Not who do we imagine him to be
- 0:50or who do our culture say he is, but or
- 0:53what religion shapes him into, but who
- 0:56does God say he is? In Exodus 34, God
- 1:00introduces himself. The Lord, merciful
- 1:03and compassionate, slow to anger, rich
- 1:05in grace and truth, forgiving sin, yet
- 1:08not clearing the guilty. That is God
- 1:12defining himself. He's not a distant,
- 1:15oppressive deity as portrayed in Islam,
- 1:18where submission is demanded, but
- 1:20intimacy is not offered. He's not one
- 1:23god among many like Hinduism. And he's
- 1:26not an impersonal force like the mystics
- 1:28described. And he's not the godless
- 1:31moral system of Buddhism. He's personal.
- 1:34He speaks. He forgives. He judges. He
- 1:37loves. He reveals. And notice the
- 1:40balance. Merciful and compassionate. Not
- 1:43clearing the guilty. How can both be
- 1:45true? Only at the cross. God did not
- 1:49ignore justice. He satisfied it in
- 1:51Jesus. Jesus lived perfectly, but he
- 1:54died in our place. And then he rose from
- 1:57the dead. At the cross, mercy and
- 1:59justice meet. All the religions tell you
- 2:02to climb your way up to God. The gospel
- 2:04tells you that God came down to you.
- 2:07Life is hard, not because God is cruel,
- 2:09but because we have rebelled. Sin
- 2:11fractures everything, homes, hearts,
- 2:14nations. But God's not the cause of the
- 2:17problem. He's the cure for the problem.
- 2:18And he made a way. Not through a ritual,
- 2:21not through our effort, not through
- 2:23enlightenment, through repentance and
- 2:26faith in Jesus Christ. Men, clarity
- 2:28matters. God is not whoever we want him
- 2:31to be. He is who he is as he's revealed
- 2:34himself to be merciful, holy, just,
- 2:38compassionate, true, and worthy of our
- 2:41full allegiance. Let's run today's play.
- 2:44Read Exodus 34 for yourself. Let God
- 2:47define himself to you, not the culture.
- 2:50Repent where we've resisted him. Trust
- 2:52Christ fully and reflect his character.
- 2:55Be slow to anger. Be rich in grace.
- 2:59Commit yourself to truth. Represent your
- 3:02father well because there's only one God
- 3:04and he has made himself known to you. If
- 3:08this huddle has blessed you, I pray that
- 3:10you'll send it to another brother and
- 3:12then write a comment. It helps other men
- 3:14find their way into the huddle.
