Transcript
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: How's it going?
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: I hope everyone's doing well.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Look, I just wanted to come on here real quick and say if you're struggling with getting started, if you're struggling with feeling like you don't know what the fuck you're doing, so you're just not gonna go to the gym.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: Look, we've all been there, we've all been beginners in a gym.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Like the biggest guy in the gym you've ever seen has been a beginner.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: He had to start somewhere.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: We all start somewhere.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: No one is born with an absurd amount of muscle mass.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: And that so that being said, look, if you don't know what you're doing, you're doing the exact right thing because no one knew what they're doing.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: So look, if you're if you really want to learn what you're doing, can you give it coach?
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Can you learn online?
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Can you can you do other research and maybe be a little more educated going into the gym for the first time?
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Sure, of course you can.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: But the best way to get started, in my honest opinion, as a fitness coach, is to just go to the gym, get the groundwork started.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: You might absolutely not know what you're doing, but the matter of the fact is, look, you're gonna get better with time if you keep doing the thing, and there's gonna be people in the gym ready and willing to help you because they understand they've been there, they've been that guy who might not be in perfect shape, they've been they've been that guy who is in the gym for the first time and doesn't know what he's doing, they've been there, and so to see another dude or another woman, even that's struggling uh with figuring out what they're doing, they they love that shit, not because they want to be like, oh, look at this guy, he doesn't know what he's doing.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: No, it's because it reminds them of their self when they started, and so they're more than willing to help you.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: Obviously, maybe some of them are busy and they won't be able to help you throughout your entire workout, but maybe it'll help you on a maybe they'll spot you or they'll show you how to do a certain exercise or whatever the case may be, and you keep doing this every day, six days a week, five days a week, four days a week, chances are you're gonna get better over time, and you're gonna become confident in what you're doing, you know, just by repeating the same thing over and over.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: You're gonna get better.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: I'm not against having a fitness coach, but I know there's some of you out there who are like, Oh, I need to know how to do this, exercise exactly correctly before I go to the gym, so I don't make a fool out of myself, so I don't make a fool out of myself.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Look, if you're going to the gym, you're gonna be making much less of a fool out of yourself as if you're just staying at home being a slob eating whatever you want and gaining weight or or being underweight or like being out of shape.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: Look, if you're if you're going to the gym to improve yourself, people are gonna recognize that people are gonna see, okay, this guy's working on himself, and it actually maybe maybe they'll see, you know, it doesn't look like he's doing exactly what he should be doing, so I'll help him out just again because I relate to him, I have been there, and that's how the gym community is built.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: You know, welcome to the community.
