- 0:26SPEAKER_02: We try to get an answer.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: You're listening to Trap Souls.
- 0:40SPEAKER_04: Alright, welcome, Trap Souls.
- 0:42SPEAKER_04: Another episode of Dead Space.
- 0:44SPEAKER_04: I'm here again with Reed.
- 0:47SPEAKER_04: What's up, y'all?
- 0:48SPEAKER_04: What's up?
- 0:49SPEAKER_04: So this got brought up on Facebook the other day.
- 0:53SPEAKER_04: Um, someone actually posted a picture of a for sale sign on a house, and usually when it says sold on top, it said not haunted.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 1:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:07SPEAKER_04: So I've seen that picture before.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:09SPEAKER_04: And I, you know, I made a comment like, hey, there are some states you actually have to disclose if your house is haunted.
- 1:16SPEAKER_04: True.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Can I do the damn podcast?
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: I'm jumping, I'm jumping.
- 1:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you're jumping.
- 1:21SPEAKER_04: Okay, it's over.
- 1:22SPEAKER_04: Thank you for listening.
- 1:26SPEAKER_04: No, just joking.
- 1:27SPEAKER_04: So someone actually commented, that's interesting, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:31SPEAKER_04: And one person actually commented, I'd be interested to know a little more about this.
- 1:36SPEAKER_04: Guess they don't have Google, I don't know.
- 1:38SPEAKER_04: So I I looked into it a little bit.
- 1:40SPEAKER_04: Because I've heard a story before that someone actually sold a house, never disclosed it was haunted.
- 1:47SPEAKER_04: And I gave sorry, I gave Reed some real bourbon.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: And he's not letting me put Coke in it.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:57SPEAKER_04: Someone actually sold a house, never disclosed it was haunted, and they were in actually a state where you have to disclose it.
- 2:05SPEAKER_04: And the people that moved in was like, this place is haunted.
- 2:09SPEAKER_04: And they were asking neighbors and all that, and they're like, Oh yeah, that house is haunted.
- 2:14SPEAKER_04: They knew it.
- 2:14SPEAKER_04: So they actually took them to court, and those people actually had to buy their house back.
- 2:18SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 2:19SPEAKER_04: Because they never disclosed.
- 2:20SPEAKER_04: Did they get an interest?
- 2:22SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 2:24SPEAKER_04: Only four states mentioned paranormal activity in their laws.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: More than I thought.
- 2:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Minnesota.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: I get Massachusetts.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: That makes sense.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:37SPEAKER_04: And only two of those require disclosure.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: Which ones?
- 2:41SPEAKER_04: Noted.
- 2:43SPEAKER_04: Noted.
- 2:45SPEAKER_04: So I'll go over a little bit broken down version of the laws.
- 2:49SPEAKER_04: Hey, New York can rescind a home, so if the seller creates and pertuates a reputation that the house is haunted and then takes unfair advantage of a buyer's ignorance of the home's ghostly reputation.
- 3:03SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 3:04SPEAKER_04: I don't know what that really means.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Means don't lie to your customers, I guess.
- 3:07SPEAKER_04: New York is restrictive.
- 3:09SPEAKER_04: So New Jersey.
- 3:10SPEAKER_04: A seller must truthfully tell a buyer if the property comes within phantom with phantom roommates.
- 3:18SPEAKER_04: Ghost.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: That's weird verbiage though.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: Phantom.
- 3:21SPEAKER_04: Phantom roommates.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: What the hell's a phantom room?
- 3:25SPEAKER_04: Ghost.
- 3:26SPEAKER_04: We'll just call it ghost.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Just weird that they it almost sounds loopholy with phantom.
- 3:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 3:33SPEAKER_04: But only if the buyer asks.
- 3:36SPEAKER_04: Ooh.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: So you actually have to ask every time you you look at a house.
- 3:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 3:41SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 3:41SPEAKER_04: It says house haunted.
- 3:42SPEAKER_04: So if you're buying a house, just ask.
- 3:46SPEAKER_04: In New Jersey.
- 3:48SPEAKER_04: Alright, Massachusetts and Minnesota.
- 3:52SPEAKER_04: Specifically mention homes that are psychologically affected by saying buyers are not required to disclose this status.
- 4:04SPEAKER_04: So they don't have to say.
- 4:08SPEAKER_04: So you don't have to disclose that your house is haunted.
- 4:11SPEAKER_04: But they actually had to put that in their laws saying they don't have to.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: So I think a rule of thumb is Massachusetts, it's haunted.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: Let's just go with that.
- 4:23SPEAKER_04: I mean it's possible.
- 4:26SPEAKER_04: So Alabama, the seller, does not have to disclose property that is haunted.
- 4:30SPEAKER_04: But the buyer asks, seller has to answer honestly.
- 4:35SPEAKER_04: California seller must disclose a death on a property within three years of transaction.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: I think that's fair.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: That that's one that makes sense to me.
- 4:46SPEAKER_04: Because a lot of people like you go to haunted, like you're thinking suicide, right?
- 4:52SPEAKER_04: So in Alaska, same thing, but it's within one year.
- 4:56SPEAKER_04: So someone died within that year of the transaction.
- 4:59SPEAKER_04: You actually have to tell them that hey, someone died on this property.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: But there's a house that's been sold where I work in the village multiple times in so many years, and every owner in the last three owners, someone has died in that house from suicide.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: Definitely something that I would want to know if I'm purchasing a house.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: Because that that's pretty wild to me.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: And there's nothing for Ohio, is there?
- 5:27SPEAKER_04: No, there's nothing for Ohio.
- 5:29SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 5:31SPEAKER_04: So in South Dakota, a seller only must tell the buyer about a death only if it's a murder.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: See that that kind of goes against what we were just talking about with the suicide thing.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm more worried about the suicide than a murder because the murderer's still alive.
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: The victim's the one dead.
- 5:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 5:50SPEAKER_04: You know?
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: Sure.
- 5:51SPEAKER_04: But why they die.
- 5:53SPEAKER_04: So Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and South Carolina, sellers only have the re have the responsibility to tell the buyers only if they ask.
- 6:03SPEAKER_04: So again, ask.
- 6:05SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 6:06SPEAKER_04: If you're in Ohio, ask.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: I guess the rule of thumb, ask, right?
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:11SPEAKER_04: No matter the state.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: Position haunted.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: You know.
- 6:16SPEAKER_04: It's kind of neat that there are some, you know, paranormal is not real, you know, a lot of people say.
- 6:24SPEAKER_04: But there are laws in the states that you must declare.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: But there has there has to be enough times that the weird things are happening at these people's houses that they've actually had to put this into real estate law.
- 6:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean.
- 6:39SPEAKER_04: But again, is the house haunted?
- 6:42SPEAKER_04: Were the people with something attached to the person?
- 6:46SPEAKER_04: You know, you always people always move and like always have that feeling.
- 6:50SPEAKER_04: You know, it could be a good feeling.
- 6:52SPEAKER_04: It could be the grandfather, you know, watching out for you, grandmother watching out for you, or just a jackass stepdad.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: But do you do you think, because just because you just touched on that topic, and I know I'm floating off a little bit here, but do you think people just say that it's their grandfather or their grandfather to kind of calm their nerves or their children or something like that instead of reality where it could be something in the home?
- 7:16SPEAKER_04: Well, I mean, you watch all these shows that go help people, and that's what they always come back to.
- 7:20SPEAKER_04: Oh, it's a fan.
- 7:21SPEAKER_04: Like Ghost Hunters is famous for that.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 7:24SPEAKER_04: Oh, there's nothing bad here.
- 7:26SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 7:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think it's a comfort feeling.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: I think that's what a good thing about your group is, you know, and I don't know how much you've touched on about our career field.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: Well, your career field used to be mine, but a lot of our people that come into our field were previous police officers or fire marshals or something in that realm.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: So they have an investigative background.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: So I I think that's what makes us kind of special in that aspect.
- 7:55SPEAKER_04: But yeah, I think I mean I try to base everything on facts.
- 7:58SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 7:59SPEAKER_04: And I you know, I always say that the paranormal field is the paranormal field.
- 8:04SPEAKER_04: I mean, you can have all the evidence in the world.
- 8:08SPEAKER_04: I never call it evidence, sorry.
- 8:10SPEAKER_04: Interesting stuff.
- 8:12SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 8:13SPEAKER_04: You know, if you go into like the rule of law, there's a beyond reasonable doubt.
- 8:19SPEAKER_04: There's never been one piece picture video that is beyond reasonable doubt.
- 8:26SPEAKER_04: So that's why we always question the paranormal.
- 8:29SPEAKER_04: Nothing is out there saying it's real.
- 8:32SPEAKER_04: I mean, that's just my belief of it.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: Well, I think that's a big reason why why we do what we do, right?
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: Because we want to run at it and see if we can find more proof to try to find answers for people.
- 8:45SPEAKER_04: Most of the groups out there want to be that one.
- 8:47SPEAKER_04: The one that does break the barrier.
- 8:49SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 8:50SPEAKER_04: Let me try Aaron here.
- 8:51SPEAKER_04: We're gonna try something.
- 8:53SPEAKER_04: Try to give Aaron a call?
- 8:54SPEAKER_04: See if it works.
- 8:55SPEAKER_04: I don't freaking know.
- 8:56SPEAKER_04: Oh shit.
- 8:56SPEAKER_04: I can hear it ringing through.
- 8:57SPEAKER_04: Oh, it's raining.
- 8:58unknown: Hi.
- 8:59SPEAKER_04: What's up?
- 9:00SPEAKER_04: You hear us?
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: You hear us?
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: Yes, I can hear you.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Fine.
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: Aaron, could you could you hear us from the other side that we were gonna call you?
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: I knew you were gonna call me.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: Oh, well, that's fair.
- 9:13SPEAKER_04: So you're on a podcast right now.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, sweet.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Hello, everybody.
- 9:17SPEAKER_04: Hey, so we're talking about state laws.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 9:21SPEAKER_04: Um, did you know there's only four states that you have to say paranormal in it?
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: Like as in selling a house.
- 9:29SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: So I know one is New York, another one is New Jersey, and I can't think of the other two.
- 9:36SPEAKER_04: So New Jersey, you only have to declare it if someone asks.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 9:41SPEAKER_04: And it's property comes with phantom roommates.
- 9:44SPEAKER_04: Phantom.
- 9:44SPEAKER_04: What do you think of the word phantom?
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: Well, phantom can be taken different ways.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: Is it is it that there is a shadow person there?
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Is it that it's a poltergeist activity?
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: Because I know then when they start talking about poltergeist activity, that's different too.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: I believe it was in 1991 that a woman had a house that had issues with uh a poltergeist.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: She sold the house, and the gentleman that bought the house actually sued her in court to have the payment rescinded.
- 10:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we actually just talked about that.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: Hey, hey, there you go.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: And I know that in the state of Texas, Texas is the only state that you can legally hunt Bigfoot because it is not considered native wildlife, but in the state of Washington, you cannot legally hunt Bigfoot.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: Yep, the the Department of Natural Resources in Washington will not allow you to hunt it.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: Do you think that's like uh like Ohio has the blue laws which state like you can't hunt for whales on Sundays?
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: Or do you think it's just old law for dumb reasons, or do you think there's actual reason behind it?
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: I do think there's reason behind it.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: I think with the fact that A, you've got this very uh vast area that, you know, is so underdeveloped in certain areas in Washington, and with it being technically a rainforest, you know, a temperate rainforest, they're trying to protect whatever natural wildlife they can in that area.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: Plus the fact that they're so close to Alaska, if you think about the end of Alaska, you know, there's a lot of native people that wouldn't want to protect something like a Sasquatch slash Bigfoot.
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: I know this is we're not we're into the trapped souls and the ghosts and the spirits, but do you believe in the Sasquatch as well?
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: I believe there's something there.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't think as humans we have found everything that we have needed to find.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: Again, I work with animals.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I believe I believe that there are animals out there that are going to shock the hell out of us as we start to discover them.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: I know that's a big thing with ocean life because we've only discovered so much of the ocean floor.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: But can you like defend yourself if like Sasquatch comes at you?
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: Rick Miller might be the one to ask about that.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: We might have to get him on a guest appearance.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: Wait, did you just ask me if I would defend myself if a sasquash came after me, or is that like a generalized question?
- 12:24SPEAKER_04: I mean, you can't hunt, but if something came at you, are you allowed to shoot?
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: I would assume, kind of like natural laws in or uh laws in other places.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Think about, you know, bears.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: If a bear comes at you, it's charging at you, and you've done everything in your power to stop it.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: You can use deadly force to stop it.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: So I would assume that that would still fall under that realm of you know protection slash you're covering your ass.
- 12:56SPEAKER_04: We should go on a Bigfoot hunt sometime.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: I am down to go hunt Bigfoot.
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: There are plenty of legend out here with Bigfoot.
- 13:03SPEAKER_04: No, we go to Washington.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: Oh, we're gonna go to Washington.
- 13:06SPEAKER_04: Jesus.
- 13:06SPEAKER_04: Alright.
- 13:07SPEAKER_04: So what are your thoughts about buying a haunted house?
- 13:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 13:10SPEAKER_04: Would you buy a haunted house?
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: If you knew it, disclaimer provided.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: Probably would, honestly.
- 13:17SPEAKER_04: You would.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: Would.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: And there's multiple different reasons.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: If I know that I'm going into a house that, yeah, there's a spirit in there, but it's, you know, it's malevolent.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: Not malevolent, but benevolent.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: Um, I I mean, hey, it doesn't bother me as long as you're quiet.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: And I mean, I've lived in multiple haunted houses, and I mean, I've made it out alive.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: The last house that we lived in, um, I'm pretty sure it was his great-grandmother that would get mad when we would leave dishes and we would come home and there would be dishes just set out on the floor in the kitchen.
- 13:54SPEAKER_04: And my wife does it.
- 13:59SPEAKER_04: So if like if Bel Air House was like free, would you move there?
- 14:04SPEAKER_05: Oh.
- 14:04SPEAKER_05: Uh-uh.
- 14:05SPEAKER_05: It was that bad?
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: That bad?
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: It when you get hit by something and it knocks you unconscious, nah.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: I'm good.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 14:18SPEAKER_04: Makes for a good night's sleep, though.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: Huh.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: God, I'm waiting for tonight's dreams.
- 14:25SPEAKER_04: Alright.
- 14:25SPEAKER_04: So according to a survey conducted by Zillow, 29% said they would more likely to buy a home if it was haunted.
- 14:35SPEAKER_04: No way.
- 14:35SPEAKER_04: No.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: I think it's higher, honestly.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: And and I would.
- 14:39SPEAKER_04: No.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: I'm looking for one.
- 14:42SPEAKER_04: I'm looking for one.
- 14:43SPEAKER_04: I don't do one.
- 14:45SPEAKER_04: I want to buy a haunted house.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Now, okay, here's my question.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: What type of haunting do you want?
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: Do you want a residual haunting?
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: Do you want an intelligent haunting?
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: Do you want something that is scary?
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: Do you want something that is like, oh, cool, hey, look, this is my ghost Peter.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 15:05SPEAKER_04: Honestly, an old brothel.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: If you want an old brothel, you would want an old brothel.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: You're starting to sound like Bird now.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Jesus.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: It's like that scene in Ghostbusters when uh Ray's having the dream of the succubus.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, God.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: See, I think I think people say that, right?
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: 29% say they would.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: I think they say that, but once they get into a house like that, I mean, it would be cool and energetic at first.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: But after a while, you have to just get drained and tired because it it's it's an excitement spike.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: It's much like draining.
- 15:39SPEAKER_04: I mean, I I do like what Adam does, save some of these buildings.
- 15:44SPEAKER_04: Right, right.
- 15:45SPEAKER_04: I mean, if Adam had the money to save these buildings without doing paranormal, he probably would.
- 15:53SPEAKER_04: I don't think not now, but back in the day.
- 15:55SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 15:56SPEAKER_04: But you know, you have a historical site that's falling apart.
- 16:02SPEAKER_04: You're not gonna make enough money to restore that doing tours.
- 16:06SPEAKER_04: True.
- 16:07SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 16:07SPEAKER_04: Absolutely.
- 16:08SPEAKER_04: I mean, you can charge 300 bucks a night doing paranormal and restore that building.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: And people are literally beating down the door to get in, no pun intended, you know.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: No.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: It's a real experience rather than you know, the jump scares that you get at a haunted house put on and torn down.
- 16:27SPEAKER_01: I get it.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, I hate haunted house.
- 16:29SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't like haunted houses.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: Well, after doing this, I I could understand you're getting a real feel.
- 16:34SPEAKER_04: All right, so 33% said no.
- 16:37SPEAKER_04: Nothing could convince them to buy a haunted house.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: I'm in that 33%, be honest.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: I'm not afraid of them.
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: I'll move towards it, but I don't want to live with it.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: I want a safe zone when I get off.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: Oh, so you okay, I understand.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: But again, let me go back to what if it was just uh it's there, it doesn't bother you.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: But you know it's there, so therefore there's something that you know.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: So I don't know if that's a dish flies out randomly.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: There's in your scenario where there's dishes sitting out on the floor, I mean, sitting next to you on the couch and you catch it in the corner of your eye, whatever the case is, I mean, something has notified you that there's something there.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:17SPEAKER_04: But what if they actually did the dishes and put them away for you?
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't need to get married.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: It's not gonna happen anyway.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: Strike that from the record, but uh nope, nope, that's going in.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 17:36SPEAKER_04: Uh the percentage is two out of three Americans wouldn't live in the house.
- 17:41SPEAKER_04: The previous owner believes that it's haunted.
- 17:44SPEAKER_04: Same percentages, and 67% of Americans agree sellers should disclose if the house is haunted.
- 17:52SPEAKER_04: So, what what do you think about that?
- 17:54SPEAKER_04: Like, do you think sellers should have to disclose that's haunted?
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: See, I that is that's a gray area, in my opinion.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: I think yes, they should, but at the same time, they here's the thing.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: How many people are gonna say, oh, my house is haunted?
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: And then you might get an influx in people, oh man, I want to buy this haunted house, let me buy it, and they're just saying it, you know.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: Show me the proof, you know, discuss with me what you think your hauntings or your paranormal activity, whatever it is, may be, is.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: You know, it it if it's something where people are getting injured, scratched, you know, uh hurt, things are broken, again, maybe you do disclose it, but there's people like my lovely husband who it literally has to beat the shit out of him for him to believe it.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: And you know, he'd be like, Well, it's a house, I'm living here.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: And then think about let's think about those people that move into these houses because they are so cheap because they have disclosed, you know, under whatever disclosure law, that it's haunted.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: So these people move into these houses and then it's really, really bad.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: Guess what?
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: They can't go anywhere, you know.
- 19:14SPEAKER_04: And that that's one thing they did talk about, like, from ten years ago till now, is that people want the haunted compared to actually they can sell their house for more because it is haunted compared to ten, fifteen years ago.
- 19:31SPEAKER_04: That if it's a two hundred thousand dollar house, they have to sell for a hundred and twenty because it is haunted.
- 19:37unknown: Right.
- 19:37SPEAKER_04: That two hundred thousand dollar house is two hundred and fifty thousand because people want it.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: You've got a fifty thousand dollar ghost in your house.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:46SPEAKER_04: I mean, I I don't know because like we talked about a little before this, we called you that you know, just because it's haunted doesn't mean a house is haunted.
- 19:55SPEAKER_04: It could be something that you brought into the house.
- 19:58unknown: Right.
- 19:58SPEAKER_04: It could be attached to, you know, grandma's organ that she, you know, left you or a piece of jewelry or a jewelry box.
- 20:08SPEAKER_04: So to declare something that your house is haunted, you know, if you move, your next house is gonna be haunted because you took, you know, that grandma's jewelry box.
- 20:19SPEAKER_04: So how can you say that the house is haunted?
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: And that's what I'm saying, you know, that gray area, is it truly haunted, or are we talking, like you said, is it attached to something?
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Is it attached to the person?
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: Is it attached to the property?
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: You know, um, again, back to at that old house, um, we had we had a multitude of entities that hung out, and I finally got mad and I told everything.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: I was like, you are not allowed in here.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: I smudged the crap out of the house.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: I said, Everybody outside, they were only allowed to go into my barn at that point.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: And every once in a while you would stand at the front of the pop property, and this was like a seven and a half acre farm, and look back, and you'd see near the barn, you would see whatever it was moving out there, but you know, I I told it, you're not allowed in here anymore.
- 21:08SPEAKER_04: Do you actually think that works?
- 21:10SPEAKER_04: Like just telling them?
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: To a point, I do.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: Um I do believe that they have to there's again, let's go back to what type of haunting are we talking about?
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: Are residual, or are we talking about, you know, a you know, an entity that's can respond back and forth to you?
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: Um residual, not so much, but something that shows up, you know, like an attachment or whatever.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you don't belong here.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Get out.
- 21:41SPEAKER_04: I mean, I I know what you're saying that I think there are some that because we talked about it like in our last one that you know, everybody thinks spirits are just cut and dry.
- 21:54SPEAKER_04: But would let's be honest, if I was a spirit, would I be cut and dry?
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: You're not even cut and dry as a human.
- 22:02SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 22:03SPEAKER_04: As a human, I'm not.
- 22:04SPEAKER_04: So if I am trapped here, do you think I'm not gonna fuck with people?
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: Right, but if you put up, you know, whatever protection around you, because then you go into that too.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: And I know we're kind of drifting off subject of like the laws, but then you think about like protection, you know.
- 22:21SPEAKER_04: Um Sage ain't gonna stop me from messing with you, Aaron.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Sage isn't gonna stop you.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: Um well let's do it.
- 22:28SPEAKER_04: I put black salt on my steak.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: You would.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: Um I know what is it done in Louisiana?
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: They there is a law that you need to have a license to I think it's either necromancy, practice necromancy or any sort of voodoo.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: You have to have certain certain legal papers to do that.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: So, you know, then you have something like that where they could call on other spirits to move things through.
- 22:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you know, you gotta have it's voodoo, it's you know, like exorcisms, everything.
- 23:06SPEAKER_04: You have to actually have a license to be a medium.
- 23:08SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 23:09SPEAKER_04: Um there's a lot that goes on, and they all, you know, I guess the license are pretty easy because of the black magic.
- 23:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's part of their history down there.
- 23:20SPEAKER_04: So you can get one, but you actually do have to have a license to practice that stuff.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: Now, Aaron, you you are a self-acclaimed, I don't want to say good witch, but witch, correct in some aspect?
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: Nature.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: Nature.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: In in nature, yeah.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Kind of.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of things that I I kind of I gravitate towards.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: Um I'm a Taurus, so I'm an earth sign, but I'm very much drawn towards water, and I have a lot of I, you know, again, using like things like herbs and and stuff like that.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I I would well, it's not like I'm practicing, but that's that's where I fall in that spectrum.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: So would you would you consider yourself a medium or is there a difference, or how how do you separate the differences?
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: Well, I don't think you necessarily have to be a medium to be a witch or vr vice versa.
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: Um do I have sensitivities?
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: Yes, I do.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: Um, I mean, I've seen things to my last podcast, did you?
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: What?
- 24:29SPEAKER_03: You didn't listen to my last podcast, did you?
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, I didn't.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: No.
- 24:32SPEAKER_03: Okay, well, sorry.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Did you make fun of me?
- 24:37SPEAKER_04: I made fun of sensitives, yes.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 24:41SPEAKER_04: Well, I okay, I didn't make fun.
- 24:44SPEAKER_04: I just gave my opinion, and I stated that it was my opinion only and not my group's opinion.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: A sensitive subject.
- 24:52SPEAKER_04: Yes, I called it a sensitive subject.
- 24:54SPEAKER_04: That's what the that's what it was called.
- 24:57SPEAKER_04: But you know me, I'm honest with me.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: And Aaron, that's why I wanted to ask you because you know, there's there's people like me that I don't want to say I'm a skeptic, right?
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: But I'm new to this, and I'm a believer in, I want to actually get a feel for it, I want to see it, I want to, you know, some kind of sense.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: And then when someone, you know, that's been doing it a long time, like you have, you know, you have different experiences.
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: And I just kind of want to I wanted to ask that to you as someone from me on the outside listening to these podcasts.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: I want to hear them the reads out there, like, hey, what's your answer to this?
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: Because this is what I'm wondering, and I think it's only fair.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, absolutely.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: And that's why I never like when people ask me questions like that, I don't get offended because it's it's you the only stupid question is a question that goes unasked, in my opinion.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: And you know, you know, you've got you've got these, you know, charlatans that come out and they're like, oh, I know, I see everything.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: I don't believe that.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: I believe that you can, you know, feel certain things and see certain certain things.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: I'm extremely empathetic.
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: Um, I can feel emotion like severely, and that's something that I've always been able to do.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: If somebody around me is really, really happy, it's like a jolt of energy in my body.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: So you never get a feeling from Ryan ever.
- 26:11SPEAKER_04: You should be getting a feeling right now because my bottle's empty.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: I'm sure he's probably getting ready to have to go to the bathroom.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: That's the feeling we're gonna think from Ryan.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we finished his bottle.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: We're having um tonight is uh Haunts, Bourbon and Haunts night for us.
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: Or no, no, what was it?
- 26:30SPEAKER_04: We're just celebrating the Kentucky paranormal groups out there.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely uh a cheersing to them.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: And Ryan's bottle is now empty.
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: It was Schmallow bourbon, and it was fantastic.
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: Okay, so good.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: Besides that.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: Sorry, back to where we were at.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: It's okay.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: Last change.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: So just a touch on that, Ryan said in the last podcast, we're going up to uh Ross house next.
- 26:56SPEAKER_01: Um, and you guys previously were at Bel Air, do you and you had quite an experience there.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: Do you feel the same feeling going into Ross as you did at Bel Air?
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: Um, I actually feel a little bit more worried about it, and the biggest reason, like I was telling Craig, and I think I was telling um uh I can't remember who else, but my concern is the fact that I um I've been having nightmares about the house.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: There's something in there, and I don't know if it is my brain or if it is something telling me, hey, look, you've got something that you're gonna, you know, deal with when you get in.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: So let me ask you, um, have we talked about in the last uh podcast that you weren't involved in here um how we both haven't really looked into it.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: We're kind of going in blind to the Ross house.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: Have you in have you actually looked into Ross or have you been to Ross to maybe you have a feeling, or are you just getting these overwhelming feelings just from being scheduled to go?
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: Uh overwhelming feelings from being scheduled to go, because I want to go in because I I want to say, if I remember correctly, Ryan, that I am going in first.
- 28:07SPEAKER_04: Me and you are going in at the same time.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: You and my okay, so basically we're going in, we're getting set up, and we're gonna start EVPs or whatever session right away.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: Um so yeah, I uh that's that is a concern I do have, is there's something there and it's somehow connected with Bel Air.
- 28:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's what we're gonna try to figure out if it's connected.
- 28:30SPEAKER_04: So you're going to second floor, I'm gonna go to the basement at the same time.
- 28:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 28:35SPEAKER_04: And that is before anybody else steps foot in the house.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 28:39SPEAKER_04: So we're gonna see if we can maybe stir up a little activity.
- 28:43SPEAKER_04: Um find out what's going on.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 28:49SPEAKER_04: So I mean we'll see what happens.
- 28:50SPEAKER_04: It's gonna be fun, I think.
- 28:52SPEAKER_04: We're gonna do a little Facebook Live.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: Yep, I'm excited for that.
- 28:56SPEAKER_04: And uh go from there.
- 28:58SPEAKER_04: I had another question.
- 28:59SPEAKER_04: I forget what I was gonna ask you.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: While you're thinking about it with your bourbon brain here.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: One thing I do um enjoy from my last experience with Madison Seminary with you and Craig is that you two are completely different.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: Like you were you could feel things, you felt sensitive to things, you know, kind of going along with the conversation we had about the the witching or sensitive.
- 29:23SPEAKER_01: But Craig's sensitive subject, really.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: Um Craig just being, you know, respect to him, but a a big go-lucky hillbilly, just yeah, I mean, you were two completely different entities, and when we went into Sarah's room together, you could feel the difference on you two, and I think that will really play together with you guys, you know, in the same rooms or whatever the scenario is.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: So I'm excited to see what Ross does with you guys together.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that is that is a really big thing between us.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, not only are we two different human beings, as in, you know, nothing bothers him, I feel everything.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: Um, he's so laid back that he's lying down, I spin him up when he needs to get spun up.
- 30:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I was trying to read next year on our big trip.
- 30:08SPEAKER_04: We're gonna try to do uh Ballard and Ross at the same time.
- 30:11SPEAKER_04: But we're gonna split up the groups.
- 30:14SPEAKER_04: Craig's gonna be at one, you're gonna be at one, Tina's gonna be at one, I'm gonna be at one.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: And I find that very interesting for the group that ends up going on that trip.
- 30:23SPEAKER_01: Shut up.
- 30:23SPEAKER_01: Whoever that might be.
- 30:26SPEAKER_04: Reach really trying to get into her.
- 30:29SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying that.
- 30:30SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying I think it'll be really great for whoever the individuals are that get to go on that trip.
- 30:38SPEAKER_04: Hey, thanks for listening, Trap Souls.
- 30:40SPEAKER_04: You're with Aaron now.

- 30:57SPEAKER_04: Uh later, y'all.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: Hey, spooky!
