- 0:00Speaker 1: That was going on as Romeo, We're back from the weekend,
- 0:02and now what if we get into We talked a
- 0:04little bit about who is an a lister today, we
- 0:07talked about your boss, good or bad, but also talked
- 0:10about the shock factor of things that now everything is
- 0:13on the internet, so nothing's shocking anymore and nothing's a surprise.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Right, let's get going.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I need to go boy one a little bit of
- 0:20the valley as Romeos. So yesterday when we were talking
- 0:23about you know, you don't have to put up with
- 0:25your spouse if you're not happy with what's going on
- 0:28in your relationship for whatever reason, nobody says you have
- 0:31to stay. And a lot of you guys don't understand that.
- 0:35Women are very quick to tell each other you don't
- 0:38need to put up with that. Guys are not. And
- 0:41that's why I told you the other day you don't
- 0:43need to put up with it if you're not happy
- 0:45with something. Like a guy said, well he one hundred
- 0:48percent of the income for the household is all him.
- 0:50All he is asked of his wife if is to
- 0:53have a hot meal when he gets off work. She
- 0:55didn't even do that. She gets bad about it, complains
- 0:57about it. Then it wats twenty to thirty minutes after
- 0:59he gets off work to do it, and so, but
- 1:03you don't have to put up with that, And that's
- 1:04what I was talking about. Well, afterwards, I was out
- 1:07playing golf with a friend of mine at the one
- 1:10of the country clubs here in Bakers Well, he's a
- 1:11richer guy. He's got some good money. His wife calls
- 1:15and they're talking for a second and he gets off
- 1:18the phone and he tells me. He goes, man, rome
- 1:20He goes, you wouldn't believe how how much my wife
- 1:25spends on getting her nails done, getting her hair done.
- 1:28She's going to go to the massage. You know, she's
- 1:29going to get a massage today, and all this stuff.
- 1:32Speaker 2: And he wasn't complaining about it.
- 1:34Speaker 1: He was just saying that he didn't really he just
- 1:38is amazed by how much it cost for these things
- 1:43to get done, right, He wasn't complaining. And then we
- 1:47started talking again about the show, and he says, you know,
- 1:50I signed up for that, and Romeo, I heard you,
- 1:52And he goes, rome I heard you talking about telling
- 1:54these guys to leave, But you also got to tell
- 1:57these guys you signed up for that and most of
- 2:01you men and women, it works for both of you.
- 2:04You guys signed up for it, so you can't be
- 2:08mad at it if you don't get what you signed up.
- 2:12If you don't get what you want when you signed
- 2:16up for, you know you can't change You can't change
- 2:20your mind in the middle of your relationship go all
- 2:22of a sudden, like we'll just go back to this
- 2:24guy who said if your wife never cooked a day
- 2:27in her life and then all of a sudden you
- 2:30marry her and you're mad at her for not cooking,
- 2:34well that's on you. You know. If you marry a
- 2:39woman who likes the finer things in life and you
- 2:43can't afford it, well you got the wrong woman. You
- 2:47guys have to realize what you signed up for. If
- 2:51you want to broke chick, then you know what they're everywhere.
- 2:54You can find a broke chick who's happy with looking dirty,
- 2:58not cleaning up, walking out looking like trash, and or pajamas.
- 3:01You can find those if that's what you want. But
- 3:04if you want a woman that's gonna get up every morning,
- 3:07put herself together, whether it be makeup, clothes or whatever, yeah,
- 3:15that costs money, and that's what you signed up for.
- 3:20So he made a great point because he said so
- 3:23he told me. He goes, Man, it cost me whatever,
- 3:25one thousand dollars or whatever it was costing him. He goes,
- 3:28I signed up for that, and I know that. And
- 3:30more people need to understand that rome when they get
- 3:34in relationships, and he's absolutely right, know what you're getting into.
- 3:41Speaker 2: You can't complain about it after the fact.
- 3:45Speaker 1: You know. It's like you always say, if you were
- 3:48the side piece and took him from his wife and
- 3:50then he cheats on you, what do you expect. That's
- 3:54what you signed up for, alrighty four two, five four
- 3:57or seven to seven. He's absolutely right. My buddy's absolutely right.
- 4:02You need to know what you're getting, and you need
- 4:05to know what you want so you don't have any
- 4:09problems getting what you want. If you want a girl
- 4:13who only wants to go to McDonald's and not go,
- 4:15you know, have fancy dinners, then she's out there, okay.
- 4:22If you want a guy who's gonna go to work
- 4:24ten twelve hours a day and make that money so
- 4:27that you can have a nice house and a nice
- 4:29car and a good fit and your kids are straight,
- 4:32you can't complain because he's working all the time. That's
- 4:35what you signed up for, all right, Ay, four two
- 4:39five four seven to seven. Throw me outside of the
- 4:43four point one already four two five, four seven to seven.
- 4:47We're talking a little bit about knowing what you signed
- 4:49up for. When you get into a relationship, you marry somebody,
- 4:52you have to know what you signed up for that. Okay,
- 4:55nobody forced you to do that. You chose to be
- 5:00with that person, whether it goes male or female. But
- 5:04yet once you get with that person, you want to
- 5:07be upset about things that they were already doing. You
- 5:12signed up for that. Okay. If he only had a
- 5:15part time job when you married him, you can't sit
- 5:19there and go, you know what, why don't you have
- 5:21a full time job? Well, because that's what you chose,
- 5:24all right. And a friend of mine made that clear
- 5:27to me because his wife was spending a bunch of
- 5:28money on hair and nails the other day and he
- 5:31just he goes, yeah, I signed up for you. It's
- 5:32what I signed up for. I signed up for a
- 5:34woman who likes to do with a woman who likes
- 5:36to do that, and that's what I want, and that's
- 5:38what she wants. So somebody's got to pay for it, right,
- 5:41and he's not upset about it, just it is what
- 5:45it is. But a lot of you people don't understand
- 5:47that you get upset once you get married. Good morning,
- 5:52how what's going on?
- 5:53Speaker 3: And what time I heard up on the coffy?
- 5:55Speaker 1: Yeah, what's up?
- 6:00Speaker 4: Worry that much money on the hair or bald hit it?
- 6:04Speaker 2: Look Jesus all right?
- 6:09Speaker 1: All right later. If you want a broke woman, go
- 6:14get a broke woman. If you want a woman looks
- 6:16broke all the time, it doesn't want anything, then she's
- 6:18out there. That's fine. But if you want a woman,
- 6:20it's just like the guy to stay at home wife.
- 6:24If you want a woman who's gonna stay that you
- 6:26you want to stay at home, then you're gonna have
- 6:30to pay for them to pay for some things that
- 6:32you may not want to or you may feel they
- 6:35don't need. But that's not your decision to make. Just
- 6:38like if you want to stay at home and a
- 6:40man to go to work ten twelve hours a day,
- 6:42there's some things you're gonna have to do at home,
- 6:45and there's some things and you can't get mad because
- 6:47he's at work already. Four two five four or seven
- 6:51to seven. You signed up for it? Good morning, How
- 6:54what's going on?
- 6:55Speaker 3: Hey is on the money? Yeah?
- 6:57Speaker 1: What's up?
- 6:58Speaker 3: Oh? My name is Scotty And I was listening to you,
- 7:01and I listened to you pretty much every morning, and
- 7:05I just wanted because you make it sound like if
- 7:08you make these mistakes and do things over time that's
- 7:11gonna hurt you, you actually preserve them. But I don't
- 7:15know if that's true, because I know I've made a
- 7:17lot of mistakes just by watching what my parents do
- 7:20and then signing out later yeah, that they did something wrong.
- 7:24Speaker 1: What do you mean deserve what you I didn't say
- 7:27you deserve it. I said, you know what you've signed
- 7:29up for, you can leave it. What what do you
- 7:32mean by deserve it?
- 7:34Speaker 3: Well, that's what it sounds like, because you don't always
- 7:37know what you signed up for. Like my mom came
- 7:41here from Believe and didn't get anything she wanted, and
- 7:44then she married my dad, who happened to work on
- 7:47the rear boat, and he loved her and married her,
- 7:51and everybody kept saying later on, well this is what
- 7:53you signed up for, mister Dan. But he didn't know
- 7:56he was marrying a woman who just wanted him, you know,
- 8:00be to help pay the bills and during lunchtime with
- 8:02having an affair with her true love from believes you
- 8:06don't always know everything.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Well, I'm not talking about a fair I'm talking about
- 8:10some of the things that caused the most problems in
- 8:13our relations Like if you marry a woman who likes
- 8:16to get her nails done and you want her to
- 8:18stay at home, you can't get mad because you got
- 8:21to pay for her nails to get done. If you
- 8:23want a woman who's gonna need not one likes to
- 8:25dress nicely and you you can't get mad because that
- 8:29costs money. Those are the things that I'm talking about.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Okay, no, I don't think you can't get mad about that.
- 8:34But the situations change over time. Maybe he can't afford
- 8:38her nails getting her nails done forever, and I think
- 8:42both sides have to be willing to give a little
- 8:44bit because you know, just situations change and money changes,
- 8:49and we're not responsible for changes that we didn't have
- 8:54anything to do with, so we just have to Like
- 8:56I've never been married, but I'm still friends with the
- 9:00guys that I wanted to marry, but they all wanted
- 9:02to become doctors, and I could tell looking at him
- 9:05that they were going to spend all their time becoming
- 9:07a doctor and I would just be the wife at home.
- 9:09So you have to analyze these things. Not just no,
- 9:13but but now I have three doctor friends who will
- 9:18take care of my friends when they have medical problems.
- 9:22But I don't have the love I wanted.
- 9:23Speaker 1: But let me tell you this, so and this.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Is that's another point of what I'm saying.
- 9:28Speaker 1: If you want to marry a doctor, you do have
- 9:32to accept you kind of married the lifestyle and not
- 9:35really the man because he's always working. That's kind of
- 9:38my point. You you choose what you're going to get into.
- 9:42You can't complain about it. After Yeah, no, I.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Do, thank you. I just you know, I did not
- 9:48know that he was. He ended up running Halem Hostel,
- 9:51which was a really big deal for him, and we
- 9:53never got married. But I kind of blame myself because
- 9:57I didn't understand everything that was in a have to
- 10:00go into his becoming this big shot and doing all
- 10:03the column hospital and he saved lives, so he did more.
- 10:08Speaker 1: And yeah, absolutely, but that sounds to me like that's
- 10:12not what you do. You want to marry somebody that
- 10:14loves you, got somebody not marrying a lifestyle, and somebody
- 10:18who has a job before you. So I mean, that's
- 10:21just that's kind of what I'm going with those.
- 10:24Speaker 3: You're right, I think, especially when you're young. Because I
- 10:27was in my twenties and he was in his twenties
- 10:30and I was becoming a journalist at that time. But
- 10:33I don't think I knew all the intricacies of what
- 10:37he had to go through.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Okay, because I'm a you know, big.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Shot doctor in yeah Collum Hospital.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Well, of course, and he's got a political he's got
- 10:45to be political. He's got to be seen, he's got
- 10:48to be a party's he's got to be a public figure.
- 10:50He's got a lot of action going on.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Oh yeah, but they don't tell us, Like the guys
- 10:54don't want us to go away, so they tell us
- 10:57anything that's involved in it. And I was able to
- 11:00like know a little more. And you know, we had
- 11:04a lot of problems in our family, so I just
- 11:05sort of accepted truth and I wanted to do whatever
- 11:08was best for him, and he was supportive of me.
- 11:10And we never got married.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, Well, and let me make it very
- 11:14clear to you. So you understand, nobody deserves to get
- 11:17cheated on because of a situation. Nobody should ever be
- 11:21cheated on. There are, but you can't. But if you
- 11:24marry a cheater and you know he's a cheater, you
- 11:27kind of know what you're getting yourself into the possibility.
- 11:30So okay.
- 11:31Speaker 3: So sometimes you feel like just a situation, not like
- 11:34marriage or relationships, at cheating and you feel like the
- 11:37situation is cheap because I know I felt that way
- 11:40for a long time, like he's rising ahead as a
- 11:42doctor and I'm here doing all these things to support
- 11:45him and I'm not getting anything out of it. But
- 11:47then over time I saw how important he was. He
- 11:50was more important as a doctor than he was as
- 11:53my husband, and I accepted that.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Okay, all right, Well I appreciate the phone call, thank.
- 11:57Speaker 3: You, Okay, I apprecate you answering, all right.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I mean, but that's a great point she makes, and
- 12:04that's what I'm trying to tell you. There are the
- 12:06things that you have to understand you're getting involved in.
- 12:09That's what you signed up for, okay, and you can't
- 12:13be mad about it. After the fact, she sounds like
- 12:15she was smart enough. She didn't want that lifestyle. She
- 12:18didn't want to live. She wanted a husband, not a lifestyle.
- 12:21Sounds like she knew what she was doing already four
- 12:23two five four seven to seven. It's all and a
- 12:26four two five, four seven to seven. Good morning, How
- 12:29what's going on?
- 12:31Speaker 5: Okay?
- 12:31Speaker 4: But man, that girl was really talking really fast. Dude,
- 12:34I don't know you got it all.
- 12:37Speaker 1: She's by she's just interesting.
- 12:41Speaker 4: I was like, dang, she's out talking robo right, Yeah.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I think she's from Box. I think if I remember.
- 12:49Speaker 6: Correctly, Okay, she was.
- 12:52Speaker 1: She was on it though it was bullets about the
- 12:55pistol boy.
- 12:57Speaker 3: She came with the AMMO.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Already four two four seven to seven. I think it's
- 13:07the accent. I think it's the accent. Hey, rom in
- 13:09Wonderful Bakersfield, we usually sign up for a skinny, sweet
- 13:13lady that cooks and cleans. Five years into a marriage,
- 13:16now we have a fat, angry, uh honey badger that
- 13:19doesn't want to cook or clean. Don't sign up for uh,
- 13:22didn't sign up for that. It would be nice if
- 13:25people didn't switch up once they get that ring. Well,
- 13:28but that's why I said, though you can always leave,
- 13:35I mean it doesn't happen like that all the time. Okay,
- 13:41But weight obviously is something weight and and personality obviously
- 13:47can change over time, but it doesn't always. It doesn't always,
- 13:54alrighty four two four seven to seven. So but once
- 13:59again back to my point, you can always leave if
- 14:01you want. Hey, roam, I married a woman in the streets,
- 14:05a streets in the streets and are freaking the sheets.
- 14:08And now she's still a woman in the streets and
- 14:11turned into a nun today, turned into a none none today,
- 14:17none tomorrow. I didn't sign up for that. Well, that's
- 14:21but that's what I say. You guys have to understand.
- 14:25You know that you can always That's why I said
- 14:29you can always leave, you know.
- 14:32Speaker 2: But some of the I mean, and then why is
- 14:34she not having sex with you anymore? What are you doing?
- 14:36There's a lot.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Oh, it's not as simple as you think when it
- 14:41comes to sex and weight. Those are two of the
- 14:44biggest problems I think people having relationships. Are you are
- 14:47you super skinny or you know what I'm saying, Are
- 14:51you staying in shape? Are you staying fit? For the
- 14:53guy who says Baker's wool, women just get fat after
- 14:56they get married. What about you? Are you I still
- 15:00doing romantic things to get your woman to be freaky
- 15:04or have you given up and just expected out of her.
- 15:06I mean, these are things that you have to think
- 15:07of as well. You have to think of everything. That's
- 15:11what makes me so so much smarter than you is.
- 15:13I think of everything and try to help you out.
- 15:16So you got to listen if you want help or
- 15:19talking about what you sign up for. Right when you
- 15:21get married to somebody, you sign up for certain things
- 15:24that you knew they do. Right, if you know she
- 15:28likes to do her hair every two weeks, then you
- 15:31know that's what you signed up for. You gotta deal
- 15:34with it, all right. You can't get mad at it.
- 15:36If you know he works ten hour days so that
- 15:39he can make enough money, you can't get mad at him.
- 15:42When dudes out there working ten hour days or twelve
- 15:45hour days or whatever the case may be. You know,
- 15:48you just you gotta understand what you're working with. I
- 15:52do want to talk about though, this fact that one
- 15:54guy said I didn't sign up. You know, I married
- 15:57a woman who was a lady in the streets and
- 15:59a freaking Roman. After I married her, she didn't want
- 16:01to have sex anymore. Well, then you need to leave.
- 16:08I mean, and that's not fair to you, okay, and
- 16:11that's all honesty. You need to walk out. As long
- 16:14as you are doing everything that you believe you can
- 16:21to help her stay you know, a freak, I'll use
- 16:25your terminology. As long as you know you're you're doing
- 16:28everything you can and she still doesn't want to, then
- 16:31you need to roll. You need to realize, hey, you're right,
- 16:34this is not what I signed up for. Okay, and
- 16:39you need to find somebody else because somebody else will
- 16:41do exactly what she won't, Just like the guy who said,
- 16:45well I want to marry a skinny girl. After five
- 16:48years in they become fat. Well, okay, way changes over
- 16:52the years. But if you're here's the thing that you
- 16:57guys got to understand when it comes to set. Wait,
- 17:02if you guys or you women, because you guys, women
- 17:05do the same thing. If you're not putting in the
- 17:08effort to support your spouse, either to stay skinny or
- 17:12to stay freaky, and they just don't want to anymore
- 17:17with you for whatever reason or they've chosen this life,
- 17:20then yes you are with a different person. Okay, but
- 17:25you gotta be able to walk away, because once you stay,
- 17:32you need to stop complaining about it. If you've done
- 17:36everything you can to support your spouse and whatever it
- 17:40is they were because and you find out they're never
- 17:49going to be that again, then you can you just
- 17:53you gotta go. But that was the whole point of
- 17:56the conversation the other day. You have to be willing
- 18:00to walk away. But before you walk away, you have
- 18:05to be sure that you if you truly love somebody,
- 18:07you have to be sure that you've done everything okay
- 18:14already four two five, four or seven to seven And
- 18:20those are tough. Weight and sex drive are tough in
- 18:25in a marriage. They've just a lot of people have
- 18:32a lot of people have problems with that and it
- 18:34causes a lot of problems in their marriage. I mean,
- 18:37but it's something you gotta work on. But I think
- 18:39I I will say this though, also, I think that
- 18:44you can tell. I think you know if the woman
- 18:51you're marrying is gonna stay thin or if she's gonna
- 18:55stay uh, stay a freak. I think you know that,
- 18:59you know. I think you can tell. And then a
- 19:03lot of it matters on how you treat them as well,
- 19:06you know, So I don't know. I know it's tough,
- 19:10but yeah.
- 19:13Speaker 2: But like I said, I just.
- 19:18Speaker 1: You gotta be able to walk away, and a lot
- 19:21of you guys can't. All right eight four two five
- 19:24four or seven to seven, or you walk away over
- 19:30something that could have been fixed. That's the worst part,
- 19:32walking away when things were fixable, as opposed to walking
- 19:37away when you know things aren't fixable. Doing it live
- 19:41from the Just Wing It Studios, you guys, know, just
- 19:43wing it over there at the Marketplace. There's three locations,
- 19:46one at the mall, one at the Marketplace, and I
- 19:48can't remember where the third one is right now, Just
- 19:49wing it check them out today. I want to tell
- 19:53you guys something about what kids don't get. I realize
- 19:57this Saturday night. Actually I realized this Friday when I
- 20:02was reading The Star. I was reading a story about
- 20:05Michael Jackson, you know, because he has that movie Michael Out.
- 20:07So I was reading the story about it, and then
- 20:10in the story they had the Michael Jackson Thriller video.
- 20:13Because the story was basically the girl from the video
- 20:15talking about her and Michael's experiences together to some extent,
- 20:19and so then I clicked on the thriller video and
- 20:24that feeling came back to me when I was young
- 20:27and that Thriller video dropped. You know, you gotta understand,
- 20:31Michael Jackson was so amazing as a talent, as a dancer.
- 20:36Everything he did was like a movie. But so I
- 20:40was like, oh, I kind of remember the feeling of
- 20:42when Thriller dropped, you know, and how exciting it was
- 20:45and how new it was. So then I go to
- 20:49a show, went to a concert on Saturday night at
- 20:53the where was I The House of Blues and Anaheim,
- 20:59And I'm sitting at this concert and these, uh, these
- 21:04people next to me were with It was kind of
- 21:06a younger show. Uh not it was.
- 21:09Speaker 2: It was a good kid. It was kind of a
- 21:10younger show.
- 21:11Speaker 1: So these kids next to me are on their phones
- 21:14and the one kid tells the other kid, oh, man,
- 21:16you want to see the set list. Check out the
- 21:18set list. Now, a set list is all the songs
- 21:21the artists are gonna play or the band is gonna
- 21:23play that night. So they already knew the set list,
- 21:28and I was like, oh my god, that just takes
- 21:32half the fun. That takes half the fun out of
- 21:34a concert. By the way, not knowing what they're gonna play.
- 21:37That was some of the coolest things going to concerts.
- 21:40You didn't know what they were gonna play or what
- 21:42they weren't gonna play. I mean, that was it, where
- 21:44they're gonna play my favorite song or not. Right. There's
- 21:49no anticipation of waiting nowadays, and it sucks for you, guys.
- 21:59I gotta tell you, I know, waiting for a new
- 22:02music video to drop back in the day or a movie.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Everything's on the internet. Everything is uh.
- 22:10Speaker 1: The secret is always let out before you get there.
- 22:14The excitement. I mean, I remember sitting in a movie
- 22:19theater when in Rocky four and Rocky hit Rocky hit
- 22:25the Rush and cut him. Everybody jumped out of their
- 22:29seat like, oh my god. Or the first time the
- 22:33dinosaur showed up for Jurassic Park, Oh my god, it
- 22:36was so amazing. But nowadays, if that would have came
- 22:40out today, it would have been on YouTube, it would
- 22:44have been on Instagram, and it had been on nip,
- 22:46it would have been on TikTok.
- 22:48Speaker 2: There's no surprise anywhere.
- 22:50Speaker 1: And I gotta tell you, guys, man, it sucks for you, guys,
- 22:54it really does.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I know you think, y'all, well, no, you're wrong. You
- 22:59don't know wrong, Yes, I do.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Until you've had the anticipation of the excitement of something
- 23:07happening that you didn't know was going to happen, or
- 23:11when somebody drops a video that is just so crazy,
- 23:15or when you find out the ending to the sixth
- 23:18Sense and you're just like, oh my god, that really happened.
- 23:23I mean, those are things that you know they had
- 23:27excitement to your life, the adrenaline, the anticipation of waiting
- 23:32to see something because you don't know what's going to happen.
- 23:37Now it's just everywhere I can find out anything right now.
- 23:40I can find out what happens on anything right now
- 23:44if I wanted to. And you guys do I mean,
- 23:48it's sad. It really is sad. And I know this
- 23:53sounds silly. And I know these kids next to me
- 23:56thought they were, oh my god, we got the set,
- 23:58let's check it out. It's so great, and they were
- 24:01excited about it. But the what's better is not knowing
- 24:08when that song. If you know what.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Song's coming next, that sucks.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Not knowing when that next song's coming is what is exciting.
- 24:19And maybe it's a song you like, maybe it's your
- 24:21favorite song. Maybe it's not, but that's that's worth more.
- 24:26And I just don't know. I just say, man, I
- 24:29feel so bad for people. I feel so bad for you.
- 24:31That you'll never feel that you guys, just you won't.
- 24:35Because everything's online instantaneously. You always know the end of
- 24:41the movie. You always know the end of whatever. You
- 24:43always know the exciting thing that you should have been,
- 24:47that should have shocked you when you saw it, but nope,
- 24:49you saw it on TikTok already. That's just sad, all
- 24:53righty four two, five four or seven to seven. So
- 24:56I was at a concert and the people next to
- 25:01me were all excited because they found the set list
- 25:04that the band was gonna play, and I thought, what,
- 25:08you just took ninety nine percent of the fun out
- 25:11of the concert. And I feel sorry for you. I
- 25:15feel sorry for these kids today. I feel sorry for
- 25:17all of you because there's no excitement in here. There's
- 25:20no shock value in your life anymore. Everything's online immediately.
- 25:27So before the Internet, you didn't know what a band
- 25:30was gonna play. Oh they played your song that song hit.
- 25:34You're like, oh my god, they played that song. Now
- 25:36you know, you're just looking at the list, Oh they're
- 25:37gonna play this song. There is an emotional attachment to knowing.
- 25:43I'm sorry to not knowing, a feeling that just you
- 25:47don't get anymore. You don't get when you know you
- 25:51found out Bruce Willis was dead in the sixth sense,
- 25:54the whole time that would have been online immediately. It
- 25:57probably already was that probably online was probably out already.
- 26:01But had it been had that movie come out in
- 26:03twenty twenty six, there'd be a thousand to a million
- 26:07tiktoks about it the next day.
- 26:10Speaker 7: You know.
- 26:10Speaker 1: It's just it's sad not knowing, you know. And right
- 26:18when Apollo Cree died, oh my god, you had to
- 26:22go to the movie theater to see that. And if
- 26:24you didn't go to the movie theater and see it,
- 26:27you had to have either somebody tell you or see
- 26:31it yourself. You couldn't If a Paollo Cree died in
- 26:34twenty twenty six in the movie Rocky, it would be
- 26:38on tiktoking media. People would be doing it tiktoking while
- 26:42they're in the theater and you guys are just you
- 26:45don't know what you don't know, the feeling of adrenaline
- 26:50and emotion and the ups and downs of what you
- 26:53go through, the excitement or the sadness because you're seeing
- 26:59it for the first time and you had no idea
- 27:01what was gonna happen because you already saw it on TikTok.
- 27:07It's just I feel bad for you. Music was the
- 27:09same way, Alrighty for two, five, four, seven to seven.
- 27:13I kind of got that feeling with Michael Jackson's Thriller
- 27:16Dropped because I watched the video for the first time
- 27:18and probably I don't know, twenty years at least, and
- 27:24I was like, oh my god, I remember the feeling.
- 27:26I remember watching Michael Jackson's Thrilling and thinking, oh my god,
- 27:30this is a mini movie, how exciting it was, how
- 27:35amazing it was. You just you can't get that anymore.
- 27:40The social media Internet has ruined it for everybody. Alrighty
- 27:45for two to five, four, seven to seven, Eggo, Morning Romeo.
- 27:49You're right. This is the reason why I hardly don't
- 27:52go to the movies anymore. That expectation of what will
- 27:56happen has been lost. Music is the same. It's because
- 28:01it's become disposable a week old hits or old oh yeah, yeah,
- 28:06I remember that. Yeah, you're right. I remember having to
- 28:09wait hours for the radio to play my favorite song
- 28:13and hit record. That feeling of doing that was a
- 28:16thrill itself. It was I'm glad you brought that up,
- 28:21because there was that thrill of, Oh my god, we're
- 28:24gonna play the new whatever song. We're gonna drop the
- 28:28new ice Cube right now, we're gonna drop the new Madonna,
- 28:31the new Michael Jackson, the new TLC, the new I
- 28:34don't know, pick your song.
- 28:35Speaker 2: We're about to drop it.
- 28:37Speaker 1: You gotta listen if you want to hear, so you're
- 28:39tuned in ready to record, and then the DJ would
- 28:43mess it all up by saying his name in the
- 28:45middle of the song.
- 28:48Speaker 2: But yeah, that excitement of waiting.
- 28:52Speaker 1: You know, it's funny that you said that because I
- 28:53was watching I don't watch the local news very much anymore,
- 28:56just because not because of the local news, just because
- 28:58I kind of don't watch news is my anymore.
- 29:00Speaker 2: It's always all sad.
- 29:02Speaker 1: But they made a comment about something, and they said
- 29:07they teased it. Okay, coming up next after the commercials,
- 29:10we're going to talk about X, Y and Z, and
- 29:13so I thought, okay, I want to hear what they
- 29:14have to say about X Y and Z. And when
- 29:18they came out of the commercials, they talked about something else.
- 29:20Speaker 2: They didn't talk about X.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Y and Z.
- 29:21Speaker 2: They talked about something else. So what did I do?
- 29:24Speaker 1: I just went to my computer and looked up X
- 29:27Y and Z to find out what was going on
- 29:29with that situation. Yeah, I do it too, But there's
- 29:35no anticipation in you. I mean there's no U is
- 29:39anticipation in the right word, but they're not knowing. And
- 29:44then the shock and the feelings that come with it
- 29:47are just you guys will never experience that. It's so sad,
- 29:51and it really is sad that you're never going to
- 29:53do to experience that in your life. All right. So
- 29:55the problem with the generations today, the problem that actually
- 29:58comes from the Internet and social media's everybody wants to
- 30:01post everything immediately when they see it, right, So it
- 30:04ruins it for everybody else. That's all that, And a
- 30:08lot of you guys don't care, but you just you
- 30:13don't realize the feeling that you're missing what you're missed
- 30:17because this feeling of shock, this feeling of oh my god,
- 30:21that just happened, the oh my god factor. Wow already
- 30:25four two four, seven to seven. Hey, Rome, I gotta
- 30:29tell you I agree with you one hundred percent about
- 30:32these kids today. They will never know that feeling. Remember when,
- 30:38oh remember when Darth, When Luke found out Darth Vader
- 30:42was his father, And that would have happened in today's society.
- 30:47It would have been on the internet immediately. It would
- 30:50have ruined it for millions and millions of people, the
- 30:54shock value of oh my god, Luke, I am your father. Yeah,
- 31:00absolutely right. I mean, it's just it's insane. It's insane
- 31:06that you guys will just never know and I and
- 31:09I feel sad for you. So the other night I
- 31:11went to a concert and the kids next to me
- 31:15they found the set list of what the band was
- 31:16going to play online. They were so excited, just oh
- 31:19my god, look at me. You want to see the
- 31:21music theater playing. I'm like, okay, yeah, that's you just
- 31:24took all the fun out of the concert, because part
- 31:27of the fun of going to a concert is not
- 31:30knowing what they're going to play, especially the order of it.
- 31:37Now you're just sitting there listening to a CD, going, well,
- 31:39that was the next song's coming up. I can't wait
- 31:41for it. And the not knowing is something that you
- 31:47just never see. You won't see anymore with the TikTok,
- 31:50with the TikTok, With TikTok and Instagram and the Internet,
- 31:54you just you don't. The not knowing is gone. There's
- 32:00no shock moment in your life anymore because somebody will
- 32:05just put it online for a movie, for a new
- 32:08song coming out. It's just not there already. Four two, five,
- 32:15four or seven seven. Hey, Romeo, you gotta admit, though,
- 32:18when it comes to sports, you still you get to
- 32:24see what's going on even if you can't. Well, yeah,
- 32:27sports is a little different. My dad still will record
- 32:31sporting events and watch him later, but he's obviously not
- 32:36on social media, so he doesn't get to see the
- 32:39big play or whatever, the big you know, last minute throw,
- 32:42hail Mary, whatever it is. But sports, yeah, I get.
- 32:48But even with sports, yeah, if somebody throws a hell
- 32:51mare in a game that you missed or you didn't
- 32:52get to see, you get to see it on TikTok.
- 32:54Is that what you're saying? You think that is a
- 32:56good thing. That might be fair. I don't know.
- 33:00Speaker 7: It just.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Social media is taking all the fun out of life
- 33:06in that aspect and what I'm talking now, mind you,
- 33:11I don't really pay much attention to the Met Gala.
- 33:14Obviously it's uh, it's is it Anna Winner? Who is
- 33:18the Is she the editor of Vogue or the CEO
- 33:21of Vogue or something?
- 33:22Speaker 2: Is it?
- 33:23Speaker 7: Is that?
- 33:23Speaker 1: What you guys ought to explain it to me if
- 33:24you really, if you know anything about it? But the
- 33:27Met Gala has always been this big event that I
- 33:29believe and a Winner puts on, and the guest list
- 33:34is very elite, usually the you know, the A list, celebrities,
- 33:38the top dogs in business and just really high, high
- 33:45elite profile people I guess would be the best way
- 33:47to put it. Well, apparently this year Jeff Bezos may
- 33:53have paid for it, and I don't know if that's true,
- 33:57but there were a lot of comments made about how
- 34:00horrors and trashy the pendees were, that it has lost
- 34:05its it's lost its luster, it's lost its eliteness, and
- 34:11a bunch of I guess some people backed out. I
- 34:15guess Meryl Streep backed out as co chair, and so
- 34:19apparently the people. The way they've addressed was terrible. The
- 34:24quality of entertainer was not a list. Now this is
- 34:30just according to what I read on social media or
- 34:35what I read on the internet. But here's the thing,
- 34:39when you when you talk about this, what is a
- 34:43list celebrity today in twenty twenty six? Right, let's go
- 34:47back to before YouTube, before influencers, before you know, social media,
- 34:53an a list celebrity was an actor, Uh, maybe an author,
- 35:00maybe a big television star, probably a list celebrities, though
- 35:07back then were more actors. But in today's in today's
- 35:12entertainment world, movies aren't just entertainment. YouTubers are entertainment, you know,
- 35:20streamers are entertainment. So who's a list today? And that
- 35:27was kind of what I was thinking about when I'm
- 35:28reading this about they're talking about how bad, how the
- 35:32guest list is not as elite as it once was?
- 35:35Speaker 2: Well, what's elite today?
- 35:38Speaker 1: You know? The definition of an A lister today in
- 35:42twenty twenty six has got to be far different than
- 35:45the definition of an A lister in nineteen ninety. I
- 35:49don't even know when the I don't even know when
- 35:51YouTube started. I'm gonna have to say pre pre streaming,
- 35:54pre internet, pre now, maybe not pre internet, but pre
- 35:57YouTube and pre social Media's the definition of an A
- 36:03lister was like George Clooney, you know, uh uh sema Iak,
- 36:09what's the what was the girl's name for pretty woman?
- 36:11Speaker 3: Her?
- 36:12Speaker 1: You know what was considered an ale Angelina Joe Lee
- 36:15was an A list celebrity. I don't know. Some of
- 36:19the highest some of the best singers were A list celebrities.
- 36:24What is an A list celebrity? What is the definition
- 36:26of won today in twenty twenty six do we we
- 36:29can't have the same definition, not with the fact that
- 36:32these influencers in YouTubers and streamers are so popular. Do
- 36:36you not consider those A list celebrities? I mean, some
- 36:40of these guys are getting what's his name, what's the
- 36:43what's the He's got his own show, the he was
- 36:46just on Survivor mister Beast. Is he considered an A
- 36:51list celebrity today? He's probably more popular than I don't know,
- 36:55George Clooney, I don't know, but yeah, I was thinking
- 37:00about that. I was looking at the story of how
- 37:02they're trying to degrade the met Gala, that it's not
- 37:05as prestigious as it once was after the people that
- 37:10were attending. But the people that were attending, aren't they
- 37:13the elite of today.
- 37:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I think the big the big reason why there's
- 37:20no more a list is there's no more.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Good movies out. But say that again, there's no more
- 37:26good movies.
- 37:27Speaker 3: You know.
- 37:28Speaker 6: If you think about a movie that's out.
- 37:33Speaker 4: The only thing really good is like, uh, mars Well.
- 37:38Speaker 1: But that's but that's not what I'm saying though, I'm
- 37:40not saying that that there's no a list. What I'm
- 37:43saying about.
- 37:45Speaker 4: The influence to John Ryan Sean Ryan's big.
- 37:49Speaker 1: I don't even know who that is. But okay, but
- 37:50that's what you're saying. He's But I know, But that's
- 37:56my point. My point is the definition of a list
- 37:59from the eighties. No, I don't know when YouTube came
- 38:01in and when this influence started, but before there was
- 38:05a definition of what an a lister was. Has that
- 38:09change now that we have a whole new uh, we
- 38:12have a whole new medium of entertainment. We have a
- 38:15whole new, different section of entertainment that is completely opposite
- 38:18of what we grew up with. So I don't know.
- 38:22I don't think the big I don't think Sennhem is
- 38:25as big as it used to be. Oh no, not
- 38:27at all. We had Marrow Street we had.
- 38:30Speaker 4: Even Steve Martin was a lister.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Yeah, But so who's the A listers today?
- 38:34Speaker 4: Then that's what I'm saying.
- 38:36Speaker 1: It's just mister Bechs.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Like you know, mister b Sean Ryan.
- 38:42Speaker 1: I mean, you don't really Kim. Come last time you
- 38:45took your whole family to the movie and saw a movie. Oh?
- 38:49I know. I'm just saying outside of that. But that's
- 38:52that because that's our traditional definition of an A lister
- 38:55for you and I Joe our movie star. So what
- 38:58is it? What's an A list? Is Kim Kardashian and
- 39:01a lister?
- 39:03Speaker 4: I think she's kind of a B lister Now, I
- 39:05don't know what the younger I think it's the younger generation. Okay,
- 39:10I think I think we're we're like dated out now, bro.
- 39:14Speaker 1: No, I'm not dated out. I know what's going on,
- 39:16got it? I hang up on.
- 39:19Speaker 4: Already dated out because I think about A listeners. All
- 39:23I think about is like what we grew up with.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Well, yes, that's so. That's my point. When when I
- 39:29read a story that says this, this met Gala has
- 39:32no more A listers, Well no, your definition of A
- 39:35listers might be wrong. In twenty twenty six.
- 39:38Speaker 4: They might be old parks like me, right, take it
- 39:41out here.
- 39:44Speaker 1: But that's my point is what is an A lister?
- 39:48You know, like I went to this concert. I went
- 39:51to this younger concert, new Kid right, this concert new
- 39:54Kid right. It's a young rock band or you know,
- 39:56been around about ten years. And I'm watching all that.
- 39:59All of them talk about Pokemon and minecraft and and
- 40:04and and and one one piece and they're they're having
- 40:07a great time, places sold out right, great time. And
- 40:11I'm laughing because in my mind, when I go see
- 40:15a rock band, they're smoking cigarettes, they're drinking a bottle
- 40:18of jack.
- 40:19Speaker 2: You know, there's boobs.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Flying everywhere, Drugs doing drug you know, strippers doing coke
- 40:25off strip. That's my idea of a rock band. Times
- 40:29are different definitions change, right, Hey, Romeo, I don't think
- 40:35the definition of an A lister has changed. That's still
- 40:40the elite of the elite, the top movie stars, TV stars, musicians, artists,
- 40:47things like that are still A listers. The ones who
- 40:50are the biggest of the big. Leonardo DiCaprio is still
- 40:55an A lister. Oh, somebody said, Julia Robert Is that
- 41:00who I was talking about is Julia Roberts still an
- 41:02a lister. But the question is, then, where do these
- 41:07YouTubers fit in? I mean, where do these podcasters fit
- 41:11in that get these big numbers? Where do these uh
- 41:15social media influencers fit in that got millions upon millions?
- 41:19I mean there are actually social media influences, influencers today
- 41:25or YouTubers today that are more popular than Leonardo DiCaprio,
- 41:33as you say, and yet he's still an a lister, right.
- 41:37I just think, I just think the pool of entertainers
- 41:40that you have to pull from now are different. Movies
- 41:43are not as popular today, you know, Well maybe they are.
- 41:46I don't know. I don't know. I mean I don't
- 41:52watch YouTube as much. I watch a couple things on it,
- 41:55but I don't watch it. Some people all they watch
- 41:58is YouTube. That is their version of entertainment. Beat Mister
- 42:01Beast is mister Beast and a list celebrity. He's far
- 42:04bigger than probably any movie star out there, right or
- 42:13am I wrong? Hey?
- 42:16Speaker 7: Rome?
- 42:16Speaker 2: What about OnlyFans models?
- 42:18Speaker 1: Well you know there was something you gotta look at
- 42:22it like this, right, Only fan models are the are
- 42:29the are the are the As far as entertainment goes,
- 42:34only fan models today are the porn stars of yesterday, right,
- 42:42that's how you would equate it. We had movie stars,
- 42:45television stars, porn stars back in the day were huge.
- 42:48There were certain ones that had everybody knew, you know,
- 42:52but they were still in the shadows. So as far
- 42:57as YouTubers, streamers and loans onlyfan models are, I would
- 43:02say the porn industry of the modern day entertainment because
- 43:07entertainment's changing, right, A lot of people are going to
- 43:09YouTube to watch nobody's that we never heard of and
- 43:11now people you know who they are.
- 43:14Speaker 2: So I just don't know. But what is an A lister?
- 43:21The pool of A listers?
- 43:23Speaker 1: Are we still just going back to traditionals, the Selma Jayaks,
- 43:27the Julia Roberts, the I don't know, pick your A listers,
- 43:31the Sidney Portier's, I mean know that's going way back,
- 43:37the Jack Nicholson's, the I don't know, the Tom Cruises.
- 43:43I mean, you gotta believe that the as big as
- 43:53the Tom Cruises were before social media, there are people
- 43:57on the Internet and social media's youtubes that are as
- 44:00big as Tom Cruise was then. So are they not
- 44:04A listers? All? Right? Eight four two five four or
- 44:07seven seven, okay, roam. And when it comes to a listers,
- 44:10my definition of an a lister might be different than popularity.
- 44:15An a lister is somebody that knows that everybody knows,
- 44:22that has done some great piece of art, music, art, movies, television,
- 44:30and also popular. So what you're saying, if I think
- 44:34I understand, you consider an a list or somebody who
- 44:37everybody knows and they're good at their job for the
- 44:41most part, right so, or exceptionally great at their job. Right? Okay? Well,
- 44:52at what point do you start considering YouTube a part
- 44:58of society or social media a fabric of society? And
- 45:04I see, I look at all of these things as entertainment, right,
- 45:08anybody can do it, which is what makes it stupid.
- 45:11But there are some funny people on social media, there
- 45:15are some entertaining channels on YouTube, and it's another way.
- 45:21It's another form of entertainment, just like television or movies
- 45:25or whatever. Right, So how does that fit into your
- 45:33definition of what an a lister is? Mister B seems
- 45:37to be very popular, is the entertaining not so much?
- 45:40But I guess he wouldn't be an a lister then, huh.
- 45:43Speaker 4: I gotta agree with you, Romeo. Okay, but there is
- 45:47two different categories. You know, there's the old folks A
- 45:50List and then there's the young folks A list. They
- 45:53have different lists than we do.
- 45:56Speaker 1: Yeah, but at some point you're wrong.
- 46:03Speaker 4: Well, I mean, for for instance, the A list Old folks,
- 46:06you know, you got Jennifer Aniston and Dwayne Johnson the Rock.
- 46:11But a lot of these young guys, young kids probably
- 46:14don't even watch them, but they're still up there. But
- 46:16I agree that the internet celebrities are probably as famous,
- 46:20if not more famous. Okay, everybody's on the Internet. Everybody's
- 46:26watching the Internet, and you can have comedians that ain't
- 46:29even funny that blow up and are bigger than the
- 46:32top comedians right now because everybody's streaming them and everybody's
- 46:35on their phone. Okay, I agree, I agree.
- 46:39Speaker 1: How do you how do you determine then, what a
- 46:42list is?
- 46:44Speaker 4: It's just your age group. You got the old folks
- 46:47the A List and the young folks A list. Okay,
- 46:51there it is.
- 46:52Speaker 1: At what point, well, at what point does the young
- 46:56folks A list mean more than the old folks AY list?
- 47:01Speaker 4: Right now, the young folks are waitning because they're they're younger,
- 47:04they're heavy, they're faster on the phone. I can't type
- 47:07as fast as they can. So they're winning. Right now.
- 47:11I got loose for all those young folks. They're going
- 47:13to get old. Everybody gets old, so enjoy it. Well
- 47:15they can't because I was young ones.
- 47:17Speaker 1: All right, right already? Four two, five, four, seven to seven?
- 47:26Hey wrong, Help me pick mechan Nutrician or Mac and
- 47:29Cheese Fest on Saturday. What do you mean, Meca Nutrition

- 49:11You know, everybody goes and whoever knocks down the most
- 49:13moves on to the next round, and we just keep
- 49:15going and going until we have a winner. Well we're
- 49:17gonna do that with choncolas though, and it's only four moms.
- 49:20It's only four moms. You're gonna throw the chocolates at

- 50:23a golf tournament because I got to be out at
- 50:25the Mac and Cheese Fest and all these other places
- 50:28I got to do stuff. So my Saturday's ruined thanks
- 50:31to work. But hey, we're gonna have a good time already.
- 50:34Four two five, four, seven to seven. If you got
- 50:36any questions, I guess now's the time to ask.
- 50:38Speaker 4: Hey, I know it's not for me to participate, but
- 50:40I just want to know.
- 50:42Speaker 3: Do they bring their own chocolo.
- 50:46Speaker 1: I was wondering at myself, says is, I'm not totally
- 50:50sure because I didn't come up with the contest. Somebody
- 50:53else did, and I decided that would be fun. So
- 50:57and then I was thinking about what kind of chonkolate
- 50:59do you bring? The old store chancolate, the one that
- 51:01used to buy at the grocery store.
- 51:03Speaker 7: Hey, you know what, you gotta bring it.
- 51:05Speaker 3: We can't have everybody taking the shoes off.
- 51:11Speaker 1: We'll we'll provide the chancolates. Yes, it make this makes

- 51:21soul chinklers, you know, those those ones that are about
- 51:23five pounds as opposed to that one used to buy
- 51:29at the grocery store that was light as a feather
- 51:31with the three prongs that would always break off.
- 51:34Speaker 4: Yeah, we got all the little barn bring out some
- 51:37flip flops to throw brown.
- 51:41Speaker 1: All right, Yeah, I mean it's gonna be a good event. Uh.
- 51:48The chocolate Challenge will provide the chanklates for you don't
- 51:51got to bring your own because some of you people
- 51:52buy some heavy duty ones. Man, and those things are
- 51:56those things like throwing rocks. We don't want all that.
- 51:59We'll find out up chocolate Challenge. What's happening?
- 52:03Speaker 7: Good morning Romeo.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Hey what's up?
- 52:06Speaker 7: So about maybe three weeks ago, I believe he had
- 52:08a shoulder, So what's the ever done?
- 52:10Speaker 1: Oh?
- 52:11Speaker 7: Yeah, thing I called in and I was like the
- 52:13brocus thing I do is I ask you for mac
- 52:17and cheese stick. Because I'm a Knox ChiPT worker and
- 52:19I'm not a waker in a day, so there's no
- 52:21way I'll ever be able to win him.
- 52:23Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 52:23Speaker 7: So I'm gonna shoot my shock because you just said
- 52:25a go ahead and ask question. So can you hit
- 52:28your sister up with?
- 52:30Speaker 1: But I don't have any They haven't given me any giveaway,
- 52:32so I don't know.
- 52:34Speaker 7: I don't know why to have it again tomorrow. Then
- 52:37I'm gonna try to stay away. It is the only
- 52:39time I'm awake because I take my friend to school.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Okay, well, then you should come on Friday and try
- 52:44to win them seven times. I mean you might have
- 52:48stayed a little later. But hey, I.
- 52:51Speaker 3: Get off at seven and where is this.

- 53:14and Cheese.
- 53:15Speaker 7: Oh well, I'd rather win the other one, but Chris Brown.
- 53:22I want to go to Maconcheese though I go every year.
- 53:27Speaker 1: Well, here's your chance, I guess to win something, all right?
- 53:31Speaker 7: Can we take our own chocolates.
- 53:33Speaker 1: No, we'll have chocolates for you, all right.
- 53:35Speaker 7: You better be like the one my mom used to
- 53:37hit me with.
- 53:38Speaker 1: That heavy one that did like a boomerang.
- 53:41Speaker 7: Oh yeah, then I don't know I'll win because it's
- 53:44all right. My mama taught me how to do that
- 53:46for my kids, so I know.
- 53:47Speaker 1: All right, thanks for calling. Bye, good luck. So we
- 53:51are doing a contest for Mother's Day on Friday seven
- 53:54thirty am over at Stockdale in California and the McDonald's
- 53:58over there. No, it's for tick. It's to Chris Brown
- 54:00and Usher at SOFI Stadium. We got tickets for that
- 54:03for first place. Second place gets mac and Cheese Fest tickets.
- 54:05Basically the chocolate challenge. I think we've done it before
- 54:07in the past, where basically you throw a chancola or
- 54:10a flip flop, whatever you want to call it. Whoever
- 54:13knocks down the most cups. We got paper cups or
- 54:16plastic cups. Whoever knocks down the most plastic cups gonna
- 54:18win the tickets. Okay, now let me tell you this
- 54:23hold on good morning, how it's going on?
- 54:26Speaker 4: Hey, what's up wrong? What I'm gonna bring my grandma
- 54:29out there? Room my grandma and the old lady.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Yeah, they could play as long as they're mother's. It's
- 54:33all that matters.
- 54:34Speaker 4: Hey, But you know the thing when my grandma room,
- 54:36she'd be wearing them chuncolates. I got that rubber in
- 54:38the bottom, like the tired Yeah.
- 54:40Speaker 1: No, we will provide our own chocolates, you know. Yeah,
- 54:44she can't use her chocolates.
- 54:45Speaker 4: No, Yeah, grandma used to catch us with that twenty
- 54:48feet away like that. That's hilarious. But I'm gonna interrupt
- 54:51and tell her, Hey, you want to go have represent
- 54:53at McDonald's. We're in the tournament right.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Room, all right, remember that's funny. Yeah, so yeah, as
- 55:01long as you're a mom, you can participate. We will
- 55:04provide that chank laws. Okay, well you don't bring your
- 55:06own because yeah, we don't want to know dirty. You know,
- 55:09do you ever see anybody with clean chonkolas on? They're
- 55:11always dirty? So yeah, we'll provide the chocolates. Whoever knocks
- 55:15down the most.
- 55:16Speaker 2: This is okay?
- 55:17Speaker 1: Now I wanted to read this. Uh, hey, Rome, how
- 55:20come you don't ever do it at night? Some of
- 55:22us moms have to work. We're single moms. We want
- 55:25to win also, well, you know what, every time I
- 55:28do a contest in the morning, everybody gets mad. Well,
- 55:30guess what I work in the morning. Okay, I'm sorry
- 55:33that you cannot participate because you have to go to work.
- 55:36Maybe if you had a better boss, maybe you had
- 55:39a boss that would go, hey, Maybe if you told
- 55:41your boss, hey, can I come in a little late.
- 55:43I want to go try to win some tickets for
- 55:45Chris Brown and Usher. You know, if you're a good employee,
- 55:51maybe your boss will let you come in a little later.
- 55:54Speaker 7: You know.
- 55:55Speaker 1: I hate to tell you this, but there's good bosses
- 55:57out It's funny because I want to talk about bosses today,
- 55:59so it's funny that you brought that up. There's a
- 56:03lot of people out there that have really good bosses
- 56:06and understand that you're a good employee and they don't
- 56:09want to lose you, and that sometimes the boss has
- 56:11to make concessions for you because of your kid, or
- 56:14because of your you know, health, or because of your family,
- 56:18or because of your you want to win a radio
- 56:21contest in the morning. I mean, some people out there
- 56:24with some really good bosses who allow them to do
- 56:27some things because they are such good employees. You know.
- 56:33Speaker 3: That.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Then again, there are some horrible bosses out there who
- 56:36are just jackasses. Right already four tobove seven to seven.
- 56:40That's a good question. You got a good boss or
- 56:42a bad boss. If you're texting me saying you can't
- 56:45come because you got to work, you probably either are
- 56:48a bad employee or you got a bad boss, because
- 56:54good employees with good bosses tend to get to do
- 56:57things whenever they want. Hey, Romeo, you're talking about bosses.
- 57:00It's funny because my husband has a business that he started.
- 57:04He asked me to come work for him, but I
- 57:07told him I couldn't because I couldn't have him be
- 57:10my boss and my husband I wouldn't know how to differentiate.
- 57:15So anyways, I work for my husband now, but now
- 57:18I'm the boss. He just does what I tell. I
- 57:25could see that being tough, by the way. I could
- 57:27see that being a being tough, working with your spouse,
- 57:31working with your boyfriend or girlfriend, especially if one's the
- 57:34boss and one's not. That I could see that being
- 57:37I could see that being a little difficult. But yeah,
- 57:40that's funny that you said that. Already four two top
- 57:42four or seven to seven. You got a good boss
- 57:45or a bad boss. He Oh, I'm gonna tell you
- 57:47a cool boss story here in just a second. But
- 57:50let me see you got a good boss or a
- 57:51bad boss. Let me see what this guy has to
- 57:54tell me. All right? He four two top four seven
- 57:57to seven roam. My boss is cool Rome. He as
- 58:00ilac I. He says, I act like his daughter, that
- 58:03I stress him out. He'll ask me to do something
- 58:06and I'll tell him yeah, and I'm not doing that,
- 58:09and he'll make sure he'll make someone else do it.
- 58:14We have a trash can work and I'll tell him, yeah,
- 58:17that's that's a man's job, and he'll just do it
- 58:21for me.
- 58:24Speaker 2: I really love my job.
- 58:26Speaker 1: That's awesome. I mean, you know, you get these stereotypes
- 58:30about bosses being jackasses, and I'm sure we've all had
- 58:33a couple of bosses who are jackasses at some point
- 58:35in our life. Their egos, their insecure egos make them
- 58:39you know, micro manager, make them act stupid, think they're better.
- 58:43You know, they just can't handle it. But there are
- 58:45some really cool bosses out there. I had this boss.
- 58:48I used to work in a glass tempering plant when
- 58:51it actually helped open it. One of the first employees
- 58:54to help open it and yeah, get drug tested. Now,
- 58:58I had never I don't do drugs. Okay, I didn't
- 59:02even smoke weed. I don't even smoke weed, but I
- 59:06but other my friends smoked weed. Swap was arounded a lot.
- 59:10I didn't do it, but you know, you get second
- 59:13in smoke or whatever because you're around it, you guys know.
- 59:17And I got hurt at work one day and the
- 59:18boss goes, and my boss actually was a pothead. So
- 59:23we go to the doctor because I had to get
- 59:25I got cut with the piece of glass, had to
- 59:26go get you know, get it checked out. At well,
- 59:29they drug test you. And my bosses goes, you're not smoking,
- 59:34are you? And I go, no, I don't smoke. I go,
- 59:35but I have friends that do it, So I mean there,
- 59:37I'm around people that do it. And he goes, well,
- 59:42let's roll and so they they bandaged me up and
- 59:46we rolled and we started heading for the door and
- 59:48he's like, keep walking. They were they were trying to
- 59:51catch us, saying, hey, you forgot the drug test, you
- 59:54forgot the drug and he just said, keep walking, don't
- 59:56look back, keep walking, and we rolled out. Even though
- 59:59even though I I don't think I would have failed
- 1:00:01the drug test, but there was no way, so I
- 1:00:04ended up getting out of it, never ended up taking it.
- 1:00:06I mean, I don't think I would have failed it,
- 1:00:08but it was just the idea. He didn't want me
- 1:00:09to get in trouble. But that was my boss, you know.
- 1:00:12He was cool like that. So yeah, there's uh. Some
- 1:00:15of you guys got some cool bosses. Some of you
- 1:00:16got some real a holes man, and that sucks for you.
- 1:00:20There's nothing worse than going to a job working for
- 1:00:23somebody that is just one probably not his experience. That's
- 1:00:28happening in the oil fields right now, by the way,
- 1:00:31there's a lot of guys out there. These oil companies
- 1:00:33I hear, are hiring these kids out of college that
- 1:00:35don't know anything, and these old heads are having a
- 1:00:37hard time dealing with it.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: What up?
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: What up?
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: One time I had a bunch. One time I had
- 1:00:44a boss.
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: I showed up, I didn't go to work, I didn't
- 1:00:46go to sleep all night. I went to work and
- 1:00:49he looked at me and he said, hey, you're so drunk.
- 1:00:51Har Yeah, he said, go to your car and go
- 1:00:56to sleep. When when you wouldn't cook, let me know
- 1:00:58your back, I said, all right.
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: About four hours later, I know I'm back. He said,
- 1:01:06don't ever do that again. And I went back to work.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: I was like, Dad, that was cool.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: That's hilarious, man, that's hilarious. Brother, thanks you for calling.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: Out.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: A boss had a cool lass boss once who uh
- 1:01:23he was? He told us, if you can't get your
- 1:01:28work done in eight hours, then I've given you too
- 1:01:32much work. And he was talking he was serious about
- 1:01:35but it was more of a as long as you're
- 1:01:37doing his work, doing your job, you should be able.
- 1:01:40I will never give you too much work. And he
- 1:01:45was the same boss though, who said he was a
- 1:01:48good boss. He was a good boss. He said you
- 1:01:49better be at work. I said, I don't care what
- 1:01:51you do. I don't care how, but you better be
- 1:01:54at work. That's what he told us when he hired us.
- 1:01:56You better be here. We'll figure it all out, but
