- 0:02Welcome to Bible chat where we have devotional conversations

- 0:10April 19th. The truth about heart choices.
- 0:14Most of life is shaped by heart choices long before those
- 0:17choices ever become visible. Proverbs chapter 14 verse 22
- 0:21says do they not go astray who devise evil?
- 0:25Those who devise good meets steadfast love and faithfulness.
- 0:29That verse reminds us that direction begins in the heart.
- 0:32Before sin becomes action, it is often entertained in thought.
- 0:37Before goodness is seen publicly, it is usually chosen
- 0:40privately. Psalm 14 verse 2 says the Lord
- 0:45looks down from heaven on the children of man to see if there
- 0:48are any who understand who seek after God.
- 0:51Then Psalm 53 says they have all gone astray.
- 0:55That is deeply humbling. Left to ourselves, we drift.
- 0:59We do not naturally stay centered in holiness.
- 1:02We wander in pride, selfishness, and sin.
- 1:06In Romans chapter 3, verses 23 to 24 says it clearly.
- 1:10For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and
- 1:13are justified by His grace as a gift.
- 1:16That is the truth about heart choices.
- 1:19Yes, your choices matter deeply. They are not random.
- 1:23They shape your character and your future.
- 1:25But your hope is not found in flawless performance.
- 1:27Your hope is found in grace. God sees the ways your heart has
- 1:32wandered, and still He offers forgiveness through Jesus.
- 1:35He does not excuse sin, but He does provide redemption.
- 1:40That means when your heart is drifting, you do not have to
- 1:42hide. When your motives are mixed, you
- 1:44do not have to pretend when you fail.
- 1:47You do not have to live buried in shame.
- 1:50Grace gives you a new beginning. Grace teaches your heart to turn
- 1:53back. Grace empowers you to choose
- 1:56what is good today. Ask the Lord to search your
- 1:58heart honestly. What are you devising inwardly?
- 2:02Bitterness, Pride. Compromise.
- 2:04Or are you actively choosing what honors Him?
- 2:07Whatever He reveals, bring it into the light.
- 2:09God's steadfast love meets those who turn toward Him.
- 2:13You are not saved by your goodness, but by grace.
- 2:16You can begin to live differently from the inside out.
- 2:19Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
- 2:22seeing my heart completely and still loving me through Jesus.
- 2:26Forgive me for the ways I drift and the sinful choices I
- 2:29entertain in secret search me, cleanse me, and turn my heart
- 2:34back to what is good. Thank you for your grace that
- 2:36covers my sin and gives me strength to walk in truth.
- 2:40Help me choose what honors you today in Jesus name, Amen.
- 2:49What if you could rise up and declare with full spiritual
- 2:52authority, I shall not die but live?

- 3:53Proverbs Chapter 14 Verse 22 World English Bible Don't they
- 3:57go astray who plot evil? But love and faithfulness belong
- 4:01to those who plan good. Psalm chapter 14 World English
- 4:06Bible for the chief musician by David The fool has said in his
- 4:10heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done
- 4:13abominable deeds. There is no one who does good.
- 4:16Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men to see if
- 4:20there were any who understood who sought after God.
- 4:23They have all gone aside. They have together become
- 4:26corrupt. There is no one who does good.
- 4:29No, not one have all the workers of iniquity, no knowledge who
- 4:32eat up my people as they eat bread and don't call on Yahweh.
- 4:37There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of
- 4:40the righteous. You frustrate the plan of the
- 4:42poor, because Yahweh is His refuge.
- 4:45Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion.
- 4:49When Yahweh restores the fortunes of His people, then
- 4:51Jacob shall rejoice and Israel shall be glad.
- 4:55Psalm, chapter 53. World English Bible for the
- 4:59chief musician to the tune of Mahalath.
- 5:01A contemplation by David. The fool has said in his heart,
- 5:06There is no God. They are corrupt and have done
- 5:08abominable iniquity. There is no one who does good.
- 5:12God looks down from heaven on the children of men to see if
- 5:15there are any who understood, who seek after God.
- 5:19Every one of them has gone back. They have become filthy
- 5:22together. There is no one who does good.
- 5:24No, not one have the workers of iniquity, no knowledge who eat
- 5:28up my people as they eat bread and don't call on God.
- 5:32There they were in great fear where No Fear was.
- 5:35For God has scattered the bones of Him who encamps against you.
- 5:39You have put them to shame because God has rejected them.
- 5:43Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion.
- 5:46When God brings back his people from captivity, then Jacob shall
- 5:49rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
- 5:52Romans chapter 3 World English Bible.
- 5:56Then what advantage does the Jew have, or what is the profit of
- 6:00circumcision? Much in every way, because first
- 6:03of all they were entrusted with the revelations of God.
- 6:06For what if somewhere without faith, will their lack of faith
- 6:09nullify the faithfulness of God? May it never be.
- 6:12Yes, let God be found true, but every man a liar, as it is
- 6:17written, that you might be justified in your words, and
- 6:20might prevail when you come into judgement.
- 6:22But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of
- 6:25God, what will we say? Is God unrighteous who inflicts
- 6:29wrath? I speak like men do.
- 6:31May it never be. For then how will God judge the
- 6:34world? For if the truth of God through
- 6:36my light abounded to His glory, why am I also still judged as a
- 6:40Sinner? Why not as we are slanderously
- 6:44reported, and as some affirm, that we say let's do evil, that
- 6:47good may come? Those who say so are justly
- 6:49condemned. What then?
- 6:51Are we better than they? No, in no way, for we previously
- 6:56warned both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.
- 6:59As it is written, there is no one righteous, no, not one.
- 7:03There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after
- 7:07God. They have all turned away.
- 7:09They have together become unprofitable.
- 7:11There is no one who does good, no, not so much as one.
- 7:15Their throat is an open tomb. With their tongues they have
- 7:18used deceit. The poison of Vipers is under
- 7:21their lips. Their mouth is full of cursing
- 7:24and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed
- 7:26blood. Destruction and misery are in
- 7:29their ways, the way of peace. They haven't known.
- 7:33There is No Fear of God before their eyes.
- 7:36Now we know that whatever things the Law says, it speaks to those
- 7:39who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and
- 7:43all the world may be brought under the judgement of God,
- 7:47because by the works of the law no flesh will be justified in
- 7:50His sight. For through the Law comes the
- 7:52knowledge of sin. But now, apart from the Law, a
- 7:56righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the
- 7:59Law and the prophets, even the righteousness of God through
- 8:03faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe.
- 8:08For there is no distinction. For all have sinned and fall
- 8:11short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace
- 8:15through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God sent
- 8:20to be an atoning sacrifice through faith in His blood for a
- 8:23demonstration of His righteousness, through the
- 8:25passing over of prior sins in God's forbearance to demonstrate
- 8:30His righteousness at this present time, that He might
- 8:33Himself be just and the justifier of him who has faith
- 8:36in Jesus. Where then is the boasting?
- 8:39It is excluded by what kind of law of works?
- 8:43No, but by a law of faith. We maintain, therefore, that a
- 8:46man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.
- 8:50Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn't he the God of Gentiles
- 8:54also? Yes, of Gentiles also.
- 8:57Since indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised
- 9:00by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.
- 9:04Do we then nullify the law through faith?
- 9:06May it never be. No, we establish the law.
