  April 19th. The truth about heart choices.

  Most of life is shaped by heart choices long before those
• 0:17
  choices ever become visible. Proverbs chapter 14 verse 22
• 0:21
  says do they not go astray who devise evil?
• 0:25
  Those who devise good meets steadfast love and faithfulness.
• 0:29
  That verse reminds us that direction begins in the heart.
• 0:32
  Before sin becomes action, it is often entertained in thought.
• 0:37
  Before goodness is seen publicly, it is usually chosen
• 0:40
  privately. Psalm 14 verse 2 says the Lord
• 0:45
  looks down from heaven on the children of man to see if there
• 0:48
  are any who understand who seek after God.
• 0:51
  Then Psalm 53 says they have all gone astray.
• 0:55
  That is deeply humbling. Left to ourselves, we drift.
• 0:59
  We do not naturally stay centered in holiness.

  We wander in pride, selfishness, and sin.
• 1:06
  In Romans chapter 3, verses 23 to 24 says it clearly.

  For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and
• 1:13
  are justified by His grace as a gift.
• 1:16
  That is the truth about heart choices.
• 1:19
  Yes, your choices matter deeply. They are not random.
• 1:23
  They shape your character and your future.
• 1:25
  But your hope is not found in flawless performance.
• 1:27
  Your hope is found in grace. God sees the ways your heart has
• 1:32
  wandered, and still He offers forgiveness through Jesus.
• 1:35
  He does not excuse sin, but He does provide redemption.
• 1:40
  That means when your heart is drifting, you do not have to
• 1:42
  hide. When your motives are mixed, you
• 1:44
  do not have to pretend when you fail.
• 1:47
  You do not have to live buried in shame.
• 1:50
  Grace gives you a new beginning. Grace teaches your heart to turn
• 1:53
  back. Grace empowers you to choose
• 1:56
  what is good today. Ask the Lord to search your
• 1:58
  heart honestly. What are you devising inwardly?

  Bitterness, Pride. Compromise.
• 2:04
  Or are you actively choosing what honors Him?
• 2:07
  Whatever He reveals, bring it into the light.
• 2:09
  God's steadfast love meets those who turn toward Him.
• 2:13
  You are not saved by your goodness, but by grace.
• 2:16
  You can begin to live differently from the inside out.
• 2:19
  Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
• 2:22
  seeing my heart completely and still loving me through Jesus.

  Forgive me for the ways I drift and the sinful choices I
• 2:29
  entertain in secret search me, cleanse me, and turn my heart
• 2:34
  back to what is good. Thank you for your grace that
• 2:36
  covers my sin and gives me strength to walk in truth.

  Help me choose what honors you today in Jesus name, Amen.

  because by the works of the law no flesh will be justified in

  His sight. For through the Law comes the

  knowledge of sin. But now, apart from the Law, a

  righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the

  Law and the prophets, even the righteousness of God through

  faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe.

  For there is no distinction. For all have sinned and fall

  short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace

  in Jesus. Where then is the boasting?

  It is excluded by what kind of law of works?

  No, but by a law of faith. We maintain, therefore, that a

  man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

  Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn't he the God of Gentiles

  also? Yes, of Gentiles also.

  Since indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised

  by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

  Do we then nullify the law through faith?
• 9:06
  May it never be. No, we establish the law.
