April 19th. The truth about heart choices.
• 0:14
Most of life is shaped by heart choices long before those
• 0:17
choices ever become visible. Proverbs chapter 14 verse 22
• 0:21
says do they not go astray who devise evil?
• 0:25
Those who devise good meets steadfast love and faithfulness.
• 0:29
That verse reminds us that direction begins in the heart.
• 0:32
Before sin becomes action, it is often entertained in thought.
• 0:37
Before goodness is seen publicly, it is usually chosen
• 0:40
privately. Psalm 14 verse 2 says the Lord
• 0:45
looks down from heaven on the children of man to see if there
• 0:48
are any who understand who seek after God.
• 0:51
Then Psalm 53 says they have all gone astray.
• 0:55
That is deeply humbling. Left to ourselves, we drift.
• 0:59
We do not naturally stay centered in holiness.
• 1:02
We wander in pride, selfishness, and sin.
• 1:06
In Romans chapter 3, verses 23 to 24 says it clearly.
• 1:10
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and
• 1:13
are justified by His grace as a gift.
• 1:16
That is the truth about heart choices.
• 1:19
Yes, your choices matter deeply. They are not random.
• 1:23
They shape your character and your future.
• 1:25
But your hope is not found in flawless performance.
• 1:27
Your hope is found in grace. God sees the ways your heart has
• 1:32
wandered, and still He offers forgiveness through Jesus.
• 1:35
He does not excuse sin, but He does provide redemption.
• 1:40
That means when your heart is drifting, you do not have to
• 1:42
hide. When your motives are mixed, you
• 1:44
do not have to pretend when you fail.
• 1:47
You do not have to live buried in shame.
• 1:50
Grace gives you a new beginning. Grace teaches your heart to turn
• 1:53
back. Grace empowers you to choose
• 1:56
what is good today. Ask the Lord to search your
• 1:58
heart honestly. What are you devising inwardly?
• 2:02
  Bitterness, Pride. Compromise.
• 2:04
Or are you actively choosing what honors Him?
• 2:07
Whatever He reveals, bring it into the light.
• 2:09
God's steadfast love meets those who turn toward Him.
• 2:13
You are not saved by your goodness, but by grace.
• 2:16
You can begin to live differently from the inside out.
• 2:19
Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
• 2:22
seeing my heart completely and still loving me through Jesus.
• 2:26
Forgive me for the ways I drift and the sinful choices I
• 2:29
entertain in secret search me, cleanse me, and turn my heart
• 2:34
back to what is good. Thank you for your grace that
• 2:36
covers my sin and gives me strength to walk in truth.
• 2:40
Help me choose what honors you today in Jesus name, Amen.
• 2:49
What if you could rise up and declare with full spiritual
• 2:52
authority, I shall not die but live?

Proverbs Chapter 14 Verse 22 World English Bible Don't they
• 3:57
go astray who plot evil? But love and faithfulness belong
• 4:01
to those who plan good. Psalm chapter 14 World English
• 4:06
Bible for the chief musician by David The fool has said in his
• 4:10
heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done
• 4:13
abominable deeds. There is no one who does good.
• 4:16
Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men to see if
• 4:20
there were any who understood who sought after God.
• 4:23
They have all gone aside. They have together become
• 4:26
corrupt. There is no one who does good.
• 4:29
No, not one have all the workers of iniquity, no knowledge who
• 4:32
eat up my people as they eat bread and don't call on Yahweh.
• 4:37
There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of
• 4:40
the righteous. You frustrate the plan of the
• 4:42
poor, because Yahweh is His refuge.
• 4:45
Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion.
• 4:49
When Yahweh restores the fortunes of His people, then
• 4:51
Jacob shall rejoice and Israel shall be glad.
• 4:55
Psalm, chapter 53. World English Bible for the
• 4:59
chief musician to the tune of Mahalath.
• 5:01
A contemplation by David. The fool has said in his heart,
• 5:06
There is no God. They are corrupt and have done
• 5:08
abominable iniquity. There is no one who does good.
• 5:12
God looks down from heaven on the children of men to see if
• 5:15
there are any who understood, who seek after God.
• 5:19
Every one of them has gone back. They have become filthy
• 5:22
together. There is no one who does good.
• 5:24
No, not one have the workers of iniquity, no knowledge who eat
• 5:28
up my people as they eat bread and don't call on God.
• 5:32
There they were in great fear where No Fear was.
• 5:35
For God has scattered the bones of Him who encamps against you.
• 5:39
You have put them to shame because God has rejected them.
• 5:43
Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion.
• 5:46
When God brings back his people from captivity, then Jacob shall
• 5:49
rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
• 5:52
Romans chapter 3 World English Bible.
• 5:56
Then what advantage does the Jew have, or what is the profit of
• 6:00
circumcision? Much in every way, because first
• 6:03
of all they were entrusted with the revelations of God.
• 6:06
For what if somewhere without faith, will their lack of faith
• 6:09
nullify the faithfulness of God? May it never be.
• 6:12
Yes, let God be found true, but every man a liar, as it is
• 6:17
written, that you might be justified in your words, and
• 6:20
might prevail when you come into judgement.
• 6:22
But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of
• 6:25
God, what will we say? Is God unrighteous who inflicts
• 6:29
wrath? I speak like men do.
• 6:31
May it never be. For then how will God judge the
• 6:34
world? For if the truth of God through
• 6:36
my light abounded to His glory, why am I also still judged as a
• 6:40
Sinner? Why not as we are slanderously
• 6:44
reported, and as some affirm, that we say let's do evil, that
• 6:47
good may come? Those who say so are justly
• 6:49
  condemned. What then?
• 6:51
Are we better than they? No, in no way, for we previously
• 6:56
warned both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.
• 6:59
As it is written, there is no one righteous, no, not one.
• 7:03
There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after
• 7:07
God. They have all turned away.
• 7:09
  They have together become unprofitable.
• 7:11
There is no one who does good, no, not so much as one.
• 7:15
Their throat is an open tomb. With their tongues they have
• 7:18
used deceit. The poison of Vipers is under
• 7:21
their lips. Their mouth is full of cursing
• 7:24
and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed
• 7:26
blood. Destruction and misery are in
• 7:29
their ways, the way of peace. They haven't known.
• 7:33
There is No Fear of God before their eyes.
• 7:36
Now we know that whatever things the Law says, it speaks to those
• 7:39
who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and
• 7:43
all the world may be brought under the judgement of God,
• 7:47
because by the works of the law no flesh will be justified in
• 7:50
His sight. For through the Law comes the
• 7:52
knowledge of sin. But now, apart from the Law, a
• 7:56
righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the
• 7:59
Law and the prophets, even the righteousness of God through
• 8:03
faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe.
• 8:08
For there is no distinction. For all have sinned and fall
• 8:11
short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace
• 8:15
through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God sent
• 8:20
to be an atoning sacrifice through faith in His blood for a
• 8:23
demonstration of His righteousness, through the
• 8:25
passing over of prior sins in God's forbearance to demonstrate
• 8:30
His righteousness at this present time, that He might
• 8:33
Himself be just and the justifier of him who has faith
• 8:36
in Jesus. Where then is the boasting?
• 8:39
It is excluded by what kind of law of works?
• 8:43
No, but by a law of faith. We maintain, therefore, that a
• 8:46
man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.
• 8:50
Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn't he the God of Gentiles
• 8:54
  also? Yes, of Gentiles also.
• 8:57
Since indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised
• 9:00
by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.
• 9:04
Do we then nullify the law through faith?
• 9:06
May it never be. No, we establish the law.
