- 0:02Hello and welcome to He's hot, but something's off.
- 0:07And if you're watching the YouTube version of the podcast
- 0:11followed by my YouTube channel, just Joey T, you might think,
- 0:15hmm, something is off on this episode.
- 0:19So this is the first episode I've ever recorded that is an
- 0:23audio only episode, and I'm really so excited about that.
- 0:29So there's some work being done on my house and I had to
- 0:34basically declutter the whole place.
- 0:37I have to like put a whole bunch of stuff away, including all the
- 0:41equipment for my podcast setup, which is usually on my dining
- 0:45room table. And I usually have a ring light,
- 0:50a soft box light, obviously the tripod and then the camera and
- 0:54all like the plugs and cables and wiring for all that.
- 0:57And to put all that away. And you know what, to be honest,
- 1:01I could have pulled all that stuff out from the closet, but
- 1:06because of the stuff, the work going on in my place, I would
- 1:11have had to like put it right back after recording.
- 1:14And I was just too lazy to do it.
- 1:17I had never ever promised that this podcast would always be a
- 1:22video podcast. And honestly, you guys were
- 1:25lucky that the last how many we're up to 130 something
- 1:29episodes. You're lucky that for as long as
- 1:33this podcast has been produced week after week that you all got
- 1:37a video version. Because when I first wanted to
- 1:41do the podcast at the very beginning, but I had the idea
- 1:45before I even got everything together and I had committed, I
- 1:48was like, it's it would be nice to do something that's audio
- 1:52only. But so once you introduce video,
- 1:54it's not just having a camera in front of you and hitting record
- 2:00when you're on camera, you have to look good.
- 2:04OK, You think people that do thing that that film things for
- 2:07like Tik Toks or, you know, YouTube or whatever, you think
- 2:10they just roll out of bed and just hit a record button on a
- 2:13camera? No, it does not look like that.
- 2:15You need to like pretty yourself up a little bit.
- 2:19I do pretty minimal climbing up for the video podcast.
- 2:25I mean, most of the time I don't even do my hair.
- 2:29I am pretty lazy, but I think you know what laziness is OK
- 2:34Laziness in moderation is fine. You know, these days in the
- 2:40current culture, everyone is so much about you have to be
- 2:43hustling all the time. Actually, I don't think it's a
- 2:45global phenomenon. I think it is more like in
- 2:47certain Western cultures, like in the US, for some it's like if
- 2:50you're not hustling all the time, then like you're not
- 2:52working hard enough. I have never agreed with that.
- 2:56But anyways, I usually don't glad myself up for the video
- 2:59podcast. I usually don't do my hair,
- 3:02however. I mean, that's partially because
- 3:05I take care of my skin. I do the skin care and I eat
- 3:09like a pretty clean diet and that helps, you know, keep my
- 3:13acne and blemishes under control.
- 3:15So because I take care of myself usually I don't, it's very rare
- 3:21for me to wear makeup, tinted moisturizer, things like that.
- 3:24It's only for like, I don't know, a special occasion.
- 3:27Like if I'm going to go on a cruise, then I'll put a little
- 3:31bit of tinted moisturizer on. It's not full makeup.
- 3:34It's not like proper foundation. I don't do like highlighter and
- 3:39bronzer and you know all that like the contour.
- 3:42I don't do like the full on makeup.
- 3:44I I never have. But sometimes it's nice to look
- 3:46a little nice for like a special occasion for like a date or like
- 3:49a vacation or something. Do like a a little sunless
- 3:52Tanner, a little bit of, you know, tip the Morris ride just a
- 3:56little bit. But usually for a video podcast,
- 3:58I actually don't do anything. I start lighting doing most of
- 4:00the work. So I've got like a couple of
- 4:02lights and the lighting makes a big difference.
- 4:04Honestly, in like photos and videos, like lighting is 90% of
- 4:08the battle. OK, You get the lighting right,
- 4:11You will look hot. You you look hot for sure.
- 4:13Have you ever a lot of you obviously, you know, take
- 4:17everyone does. Everyone has been taking photos
- 4:21for selfies, have been taking selfies for many years now.
- 4:25Some of us over a decade because, you know, there's a
- 4:27selfie camera on every phone now.
- 4:29And I'm sure you all have noticed some of your selfies
- 4:35look so crap. Like you look so crap in some of
- 4:38your selfies. This includes me.
- 4:39I'm not shading you guys. Like some of the selfies I've
- 4:42taken. I've I've been taking selfies
- 4:44for like, what, 15 or 20 years now, you know, Yeah, I because
- 4:48I've had a phone with a camera on it since I think the first
- 4:53phone that I've gotten that had a camera on it was when I was
- 4:58in. Why don't it was like middle
- 5:00school when I was like in middle school, it was the first time I
- 5:04had a phone that had a camera on it.
- 5:07It was a flip phone. Like this is super, super early.
- 5:10This is way, way before smartphones.
- 5:12This is like when you had flip phones like the candy bar
- 5:15phones. There were dumb phones.
- 5:17This is like when no one had a data connection on their phone.
- 5:20This is before 3G. OK, but it was one of the first
- 5:25phones that had a camera and it was a flip phone.
- 5:29And but it was not a selfie camera.
- 5:31The camera was on the outside of the flip, on the outside of the
- 5:34tone. So when you opened it up, like,
- 5:36you know, you could point your phone at something facing away
- 5:39from you. But like when the phone's opened
- 5:40up, you don't have a selfie camera.
- 5:42This is before selfie cameras. But I've been taking photos.
- 5:45I've been taking selfies for a long time.
- 5:46But have you ever noticed there are sometimes you take a selfie,
- 5:50you look in the mirror at the gym or whatever and you're like,
- 5:54oh, I look cute today. You catch a reflection on a
- 5:58storefront on a glass somewhere and you look cute and you go to
- 6:01take a selfie and look shit. That happens to me all the time.
- 6:05But there are times where like you take a photo and the
- 6:08lighting is like chef's kiss. The lighting is so good.
- 6:12Anyways, all of this is to say, yeah, I, I'm, I'm, I'm not, I
- 6:17don't, I didn't bother to put the camera out today and all the
- 6:20lighting and everything, because even just me looking at the
- 6:24thumbnails that I do for the podcast, you know, I'll do a
- 6:29screen cap every episode to put us the YouTube thumbnail and all
- 6:35the thumbnails are in this one file.
- 6:38OK, It's in like a Google. It's like a Google Slides file
- 6:44for Hhbso. So every single thumbnail I've
- 6:48created for every episode of this podcast is in this one
- 6:51Google Slides Google presentation file.
- 6:54So when I open this file every week to create the thumbnail,
- 6:58the very first slide or thumbnail pops up when you open
- 7:03it. And it's from the very it's not
- 7:05even from the first episode. It's from, well, it is from the
- 7:07first episode, but when I, you know, at the very beginning, I
- 7:11was trying like a few different layouts and ways to lay out the
- 7:15thumbnail. So like the very first one, the
- 7:17very first slide that pops in the file was not the actual
- 7:20thumbnail that I used, but I was just trying a few prototypes at
- 7:22the start of that file in the first few slides.
- 7:25But it was a screen cap from the very first episode.
- 7:28And I look at that, just comparing the lighting from the
- 7:32Super early episodes compared to the lighting I'm using now is
- 7:36such a big difference. And it's not like I looked
- 7:40better or worse back then physically.
- 7:42It was just the lighting was shit.
- 7:44That was all. But like the lighting was so
- 7:46bad. Even the lighting that I got
- 7:49that I was using as recently as late last year.
- 7:54You know, you notice that the the lighted thumbnails from like
- 7:59the last few years. No, sorry, the last few months
- 8:03from just the last few months, just since the beginning of the
- 8:05year, like it's been a lot better.
- 8:07The one where I have, you know, the, the light bar in the back.
- 8:13Yeah, the lighting is a lot better.
- 8:14And yeah, the lighting makes a lot of difference.
- 8:16But suffice to say there's like 3 separate lights I would need
- 8:20to haul out to make the video version look like the way it
- 8:25has. So we're just not doing that.
- 8:27Yeah, but it's OK to be lazy sometimes.
- 8:29I, I was so excited to not do the video version because I am
- 8:35lazy. I'm very lazy.
- 8:37I'm lazy for certain things. I'm lazy for, I mean, I, I like
- 8:45tidying up. I don't have a problem against
- 8:48tidying things up. But if it's like larger pieces
- 8:54of equipment, you know, like no one likes moving, for example,
- 8:59right? Like if a little Knick knacks
- 9:01here and there. As long as you know, I have a
- 9:03place to put everything, that's fine.
- 9:05It's not a problem. But larger pieces of equipment,
- 9:09it's just moving things back and forth is difficult.
- 9:12I remember the days when I used to move without movers.
- 9:17You know when you're first out of college and you don't have
- 9:19any money and you need to move and you just bribe your friends
- 9:23to help you move. You rent a U-Haul, you just
- 9:25pinch the pennies and you try to move everything yourself.
- 9:30Back in those days, like, you know, in in my early 20s, I
- 9:35didn't have a lot of furniture. I had roommates, so I never had
- 9:38like living room furniture really.
- 9:40I just had like a bed, a mattress, a desk, maybe like a
- 9:48ward, a small wardrobe unit. That's pretty much the extent of
- 9:52the furniture that I had. But I just shared an apartment
- 9:56or a townhouse or whatever. Other people.
- 9:58We just all had a room. The living room would be really
- 10:00sparse. I remember when I lived in at
- 10:04Arlington when I worked in DC just for like a hot minute we
- 10:09had at this roommate. We made the move together.
- 10:12We got like the same job offer at the DC office together.
- 10:16So we moved together. We rented a place together, 2
- 10:19bed 2 bath. So obviously we each had our own
- 10:22bedrooms and the living room area was actually pretty
- 10:26sizable. It's actually a decent size 2
- 10:29bed, 2 bath apartment that we rented, but all we had was, I
- 10:35remember this like Forest Green couch from IKEA, not a nice one
- 10:41from IKEA, like one of the less expensive ones from IKEA.
- 10:46And you know that's already scraping the bottom of the
- 10:47barrel. I remember it was like Forest
- 10:50Green. It was not that comfortable.
- 10:54It was like we were like we were in our we were in our 20s.
- 10:58Like comfort was not a priority. OK, and we got this small
- 11:05shelving unit, also from IKEA, and we put the shelving unit
- 11:10right behind the couch. So this shelving unit was only
- 11:14maybe like, I don't know, 3 feet wide, but it was about like 5
- 11:20feet tall. So we stood it up behind this
- 11:24couch, which looks weird, but the reason we did that was my
- 11:28roommate. He wanted to get a projector to
- 11:31put on the shelving unit and then we just projected it onto
- 11:36the white wall that the couch was facing.
- 11:38So instead of having ATV, we got a projector.
- 11:40So that's why we got that shelving unit to be like that,
- 11:43to put that projector on behind the couch.
- 11:45Actually it worked pretty well. The projector set up, but that
- 11:48was, I think that was all the furniture we had.
- 11:50I don't even remember we had any sort of tables in the I don't
- 11:55think we had a coffee table or any sort of table.
- 11:59We did have, we did have a dining table though, So like
- 12:04behind the couch, it was like the dining area.
- 12:07So I think we somehow did have a dining table.
- 12:10I don't know why we bought it, to be really honest.
- 12:13We only rarely had people over like not all the time.
- 12:17Sometimes we did, not all the time, but we did have like a
- 12:19small dining table there and that was it.
- 12:22So it was a couch, a weird looking shelving unit, AA dining
- 12:27table. That was it.
- 12:29Like, you know, no, we didn't have ATV.
- 12:32So there's no TV stand, no coffee table.
- 12:35I guess we probably had a had like 4 chairs for this dining
- 12:38table. Obviously the kitchen was pretty
- 12:41bare because we didn't cook much food.
- 12:45We're working on a Google at the time.
- 12:46So we ate, we ate well, we definitely had breakfast and
- 12:51lunch at work. But when it was, I don't think,
- 12:55yeah, that Google office was small.
- 12:56So they didn't do dinner. But like, you know, being like
- 12:59bachelor's fresh out of College in your 20s, like you can do
- 13:02without a lot, you know, it's only when you get older that you
- 13:05get used to like all this extra shit that you don't really need.
- 13:09You know, I've got all this extra stuff like because you
- 13:12know, going from just having roommates and just having a one
- 13:16bedroom now I have this two-bedroom place all to myself.
- 13:19You, you accumulate shit. The more space you have to
- 13:25yourself, the more stuff you buy.
- 13:28And like all these little things add up.
- 13:31It's like I'm sitting at a massive dining room table that
- 13:34you can fit easily fit 8 people and probably 10.
- 13:37Like because this table was so long and this table is kind of
- 13:42useless. If I, when I move to the next
- 13:43place, I can't even keep this table.
- 13:45I don't really want to, but this table is like kind of just for
- 13:49this apartment doesn't really work anywhere else.
- 13:53You know, I'm going to downsize. I think the next place I moved
- 13:56to because, you know, it's nice to have all this space.
- 13:59I was just talking to my mom because I was just in Vancouver
- 14:03for having lunch and I, I was just telling her like, Oh yeah,
- 14:05maybe the next place I moved to, maybe I just want, I just want
- 14:11one bathroom. I don't want 2 bathrooms anymore
- 14:16because every additional bathroom you have to clean, it's
- 14:20just like so much more work. You know, if you have like an
- 14:23extra table here, an extra like armchair there, it's not that
- 14:27much more maintenance. Bathrooms are maintenance, OK.
- 14:31And you can't just like let a bathroom sit there and not touch
- 14:34it even if you're not using it because of like the pipes and
- 14:38the water and the toilet and everything.
- 14:40Like you have to clean it regularly even if you don't use
- 14:43it. So I've got a guest bathroom
- 14:45that doesn't get used. OK.
- 14:48Sometimes with David Lamb visits, I just just use my
- 14:51bathroom. We just share because my
- 14:53bathroom, it's got 2 sinks in it.
- 14:56Like it's big enough for like us to be both using it at the same
- 14:59time. Like I just rather do that now
- 15:01because it's less work to clean one actively used bathroom than
- 15:07two actively used bathrooms. OK.
- 15:09But the, the bathroom that I, the guest bathroom that doesn't
- 15:12really get any use, I still have to go in there like at least
- 15:17every other week at least to like to just like clean it a
- 15:22little bit. Like you have to have water go
- 15:25through the pipes. You can't just like have
- 15:28bathroom pipes that don't get any activity even when you're
- 15:32not using it sit there. But as you get like pests that
- 15:35are through the pipes, you know, you get like it'll start to
- 15:39smell like. So these are things I'm
- 15:41learning. So even for this bathroom that I
- 15:43don't use, I just don't I need to I don't really need to
- 15:45bathrooms. It's nice to have extra
- 15:48bathrooms and a guest bathroom and a guest bedroom and like an
- 15:51office space. Yes, that is nice when you have
- 15:53to clean it all by yourself. And I don't generally have a
- 15:57problem against cleaning, but I don't want to clean bathrooms
- 16:03who no one wants to clean a bathroom.
- 16:05OK, I don't mind, you know, like cleaning like the kitchen is
- 16:10like, OK, you know, wiping stuff down is fine.
- 16:13Having to like clean a bathroom, I don't like having to do that.
- 16:16So the next place for sure, even if I have more money.
- 16:20I mean, well, the, the, the other way to solve the problem
- 16:23is to have someone come clean your place for you regularly.
- 16:28That's the other thing. I'm not at the point where I
- 16:30want to spend money doing that yet.
- 16:33That requires me to have more cash flow, obviously.
- 16:35But I'm not at that point where I want to pay someone to come
- 16:41regularly to clean my house. But the other thing is I feel
- 16:45like maybe even if I did have money, that might not work.
- 16:49That's not the perfect solution either.
- 16:51But if I feel like I inherited this thing, partially is for my
- 16:56mom, I think, but partially it's just me.
- 17:00I have this thing where I want things done in a very particular
- 17:05way. So yes, I am lazy to clean even
- 17:09a second bathroom. You know, there are a lot of
- 17:11people out there that clean multiple bathrooms every week
- 17:14while having kids and a job. There are people out there doing
- 17:18that on the regular. OK.
- 17:20But like I said, it's OK to be lazy in moderation and I am
- 17:24lazy. So it's possible for me to like
- 17:27pay someone to clean, come and clean, clean some stuff every
- 17:30week or every other week. But I'm lazy but also picky.
- 17:35So I just know that if I hire someone to come in and clean
- 17:39stuff, at some point I'm going to like not like some way
- 17:46they're doing things. It's like, oh, the cleaning
- 17:48product you're using is too smelly.
- 17:50I have this problem with cleaning products that have like
- 17:54a really strong fragrance in them.
- 17:56Like I'm in the condo, so the public areas like the hallways,
- 18:00like the entrance, whatever. You know, there's HOA has people
- 18:04that come in every week to like obviously clean the common
- 18:07areas, which is good because you need them clean.
- 18:09But sometimes the cleaning products they use has such a
- 18:13strong smell. It's like this doesn't smell
- 18:17good #1 and it's like so strong #2 why it just doesn't?
- 18:23It's just not nice. You know?
- 18:25At the gym that I go to, the Crunch, West Hollywood that's
- 18:28about to close down. Sometimes this is almost, this
- 18:33is almost TMI. Sometimes when I walk through
- 18:39the toilet area. So you go into the locker room.
- 18:42Once you're in the locker room, there's like a few different
- 18:45areas where the lockers are. The lockers are all spread out,
- 18:48but usually the set of lockers that I use, if you just cut
- 18:53through where the sinks and the toilets are, it's like a little
- 18:58shortcut to get to the set of lockers that I usually frequent.
- 19:03So, and obviously you mean when you're working out like you, you
- 19:06naturally like go wash your hands and go pee or whatever.
- 19:08It's like you just kind of cut through that area anyways.
- 19:11But a lot of the times when I cut through, there's sometimes
- 19:15it just smells like it smells like someone isn't digesting
- 19:20their vegetables when they eat them.
- 19:23I think that's as that's like the least gross way to describe
- 19:28what it kind of smells like. Like someone who's eating
- 19:31vegetables where like maybe their system cannot handle
- 19:34vegetables and the vegetables have to like rush up the rear
- 19:37exit. That's not too gross, right?
- 19:41Anyways, so I started spelling that when I was like, Oh my God,
- 19:45like how many, how often is this person coming that they're
- 19:50making the toilet area smell like that?
- 19:53And then one day somewhat recently, like a couple months
- 19:57ago, down to me, I the smell is not from a person.
- 20:01I think the smell is from like the cleaning products they're
- 20:04using. And like, that's even worse.
- 20:08How can you have cleaning product that smells like that?
- 20:13That smells like rotting vegetables.
- 20:17Not just rotting vegetables by itself, but rotting vegetables
- 20:19that some human has tried to process and can't do it.
- 20:24I think it's not. It didn't come from a person.
- 20:27I think it actually is like the cleaning products or like the
- 20:30whatever the the mop water they're using.
- 20:32I'm thinking, oh, this smells gross.
- 20:35Anyways, I'm not going to that much longer.
- 20:38Anyways, I am going to look at some point.
- 20:41We'll see. I would love to have a smaller
- 20:45place where it's easier for me to be lazy.
- 20:49I mean, I think back in those, in those when I was 20s, in my
- 20:5420s and it was just so easy to have the minimal amount of
- 20:58furniture. I feel like, yeah, like as I
- 21:01grew up and I got bigger places and now I live by myself and I
- 21:05had a one bedroom when I first live by myself.
- 21:07Now it's a 2 bedroom and it's like you just buy stuff to fill
- 21:11up the space that you have. And it's, I mean, it's nice to
- 21:14have a dining table where you can have like you sit down and
- 21:19eat. It's nice to have like an office
- 21:22area. Obviously I work from home so
- 21:23it's nice to have like an office area.
- 21:25And like I still need, even I don't have a room that's like a
- 21:28dedicated office. I definitely still need like a
- 21:31desk where I can have like a monitor and a computer and do
- 21:36proper work. But I use my desk, like, all the
- 21:38time, everyday at my desk at some point.
- 21:41So yeah. But do I need such a big house?
- 21:45If I was less lazy, maybe it would be less of a problem.
- 21:47It all revolves around my laziness.
- 21:50But yeah, I, I think, I think I'm gonna look for a slightly
- 21:52smaller place. We'll see how that goes.
- 21:54Housing market is not, I mean, the housing market is it it?
- 21:58It's not super awesome right now, but we'll just see.
- 22:02We'll just see how things go. I'm not in love with my
- 22:06apartment building and I do feel like the people when they're
- 22:10home owners, home owners have some sort of it's not like they
- 22:16choose to be entitled. Something about being a home
- 22:19owner automatically makes you more entitled for some reason.
- 22:23I remember when I used to rent in this massive rental building
- 22:28back in San Francisco just right before the pandemic, it had like
- 22:32hundreds of units, probably like 2 or 300 units or something in
- 22:35it. In this building had like 16 or
- 22:3717 floors. Each floor had probably at least
- 22:40like 30 something, 40 something, something like units per floor.
- 22:45It's pretty big building. And I lived there for, I think
- 22:49about a year and a half, maybe about a year and a half.
- 22:54And I never, I almost never ran into anyone else.
- 23:00Could you imagine living in a big ass apartment building that
- 23:04has so many, that's hundreds of units and rarely ever running
- 23:08into anyone else that lives there?
- 23:09It's not like the building was vacant.
- 23:12You know, it was like most, the vast majority of the units were
- 23:16filled up. It wasn't some sort of like
- 23:18building where half the units were empty.
- 23:20It wasn't like that. Could you imagine?
- 23:22Like, not running into anyone? Isn't that weird?
- 23:26But isn't that also fucking amazing?
- 23:30But I don't want to. I don't want to know or hear
- 23:40about my neighbors. Do whatever you want.
- 23:43Live your own life. You do you and now do me.
- 23:47But I don't, I want to, I don't really want to like see you, I
- 23:51don't want to hear you. I don't want your car being
- 23:55stopped in the driveway and blocking everybody's car.
- 23:57Literally this happened yesterday in my building, which
- 24:00is a condo. So it's all home owners.
- 24:03Like we have this one driveway that you go in and out of the
- 24:08parking garage on the ground level and they chose to just
- 24:12like stop it in, in the, they just stopped the car in the
- 24:15driveway. So it's blocking the gate and
- 24:16they're like loading their kids or grandparents or whatever
- 24:20stuff. It's like, you know, just don't
- 24:22do that there. I know it's convenient for them
- 24:26to do it there because like the front door is right.
- 24:28The front door entrance to the building is right beside the
- 24:31driveway. They've stopped their SUV in the
- 24:34driveway. They're like loading a kid in
- 24:35the back, clearly. See, the mom is like fuzzing
- 24:39over a car seat in the back. And it's like just don't stop
- 24:42there. Like pull, do it on the curb.
- 24:45Like you could, you could have just stopped at the curb and not
- 24:47be blocking anyone and then take your time.
- 24:50I see. I think a lot of people do do
- 24:52this, do stuff like that. They should be like, oh, we're
- 24:54just, we're just taking a second.
- 24:56I think normal people all behave like that.
- 24:59I always feel like I'm the rare person that like I'll
- 25:03proactively go out of my way to not be in other people's way,
- 25:09but I feel like most people do not do that.
- 25:12Like people get mad when other people are inconsiderate, but
- 25:16they don't care if they're inconsiderate.
- 25:20You know what I mean? I always get that feeling like
- 25:22this car that's like blocking the driveway, it's like they
- 25:24they clearly need the extra time to get their kid buckled into
- 25:28the back and loading cargo or like whatever.
- 25:31It's like, can't you do that while not blocking the parking
- 25:36garage? They clearly think, oh, we'll
- 25:39just be like a minute. Like it's just a minute, it'll
- 25:42be fine. They're not really thinking
- 25:44about their that someone else, one of their neighbors would be
- 25:48coming home at the same time that they're stopped there.
- 25:50Obviously, I feel like most people don't think about that at
- 25:54all, but oh, we're not parking here, We're just stopping for a
- 25:57bit. But they're not actually
- 25:58thinking about that, so they just do it.
- 26:01But if the like, if the shoe was on the other end and like I was
- 26:06stopping for a minute there, would they care?
- 26:09Maybe yes, maybe no, who can say.
- 26:12But I wasn't happy about it. But I just feel like I in my
- 26:17head, the narrative is I try hard to be considerate all the
- 26:24time without having to have someone being blocked by my car
- 26:29before I become considerate. Like I'm just proactively
- 26:33considerate. It's clearly a common area.
- 26:36You're clearly stopped in front of a gate.
- 26:37Like people are not supposed to like park in front of a driveway
- 26:40for a reason. It's just common sense.
- 26:42So when stuff like that happens, it's annoying to me.
- 26:47Like I was like, I pulled a face in the car just because I was
- 26:50annoyed. And it's like when I'm in my car
- 26:52and you're blocking me, I can pull whatever face or expression
- 26:55that I want. You did not get to have any
- 26:59control, have any expectations about how I'm going to react in
- 27:04the in within my own car when you are blocking me and I'm
- 27:09trying to just park my car and come home.
- 27:11So that's why I'm so great. That's why I thought of like,
- 27:13oh, the last place I live, it was just a rented part.
- 27:16It was great, but I never ran into anyone, never ran into my
- 27:20bus. Renters kind of all tend to feel
- 27:24more like that. They all like tend to like not
- 27:28really that care that much about ones to like get to know their
- 27:31neighbors and do all that. I don't like fringing interest
- 27:36in my neighbors. I'd even want to say hi to
- 27:39anyone in my building. I just want everyone to get
- 27:41lost. I just want to get the fuck out
- 27:43of my way, you know, and and that's annoying.
- 27:45Like I, I think I told the story of like I was using one of the
- 27:49this is the other thing that bugs me is that I can't have in
- 27:51in suite laundry. So I was watching something and
- 27:54like this old lady, I OK, I remember I did tell, I did
- 27:58mention this on the podcast. This old lady gave me shit for
- 28:00about about how I was using the laundry machines.
- 28:03OK, this is raising my blood pressure.
- 28:07And if I keep going, I'm just going to rant.
- 28:10So many things in some so so many things in daily life pissed
- 28:15me off. And living in a condo of home
- 28:19owners from that point of view, it's more annoying than living
- 28:24in a building of renters. But I feel like what everyone's
- 28:29renting, it's like everyone just keeps to themselves more.
- 28:32There's no desire or expectation to like have any sort of
- 28:37relationship with your neighbors because renters tend to be more
- 28:40transient when it's like a condo, for example, and it was a
- 28:44home owner. Like people like people are
- 28:47there for longer. You buy a house, not just to
- 28:49live there for like a year. You're, you could be there for
- 28:52like 5 or 10 or 15 or 20 years. So people tend to like, want to
- 28:56develop relationships and like be nice and say hi to I don't
- 29:01want any of that shit. I didn't buy, I, I didn't buy a
- 29:04house so I can talk to you. You know, I bought a house so
- 29:09that I have a house to live in, not so that you can come up to
- 29:12me and say hi and give me shit about how I'm doing my laundry
- 29:15in the washing machine. There you go.
- 29:19Well, I hope you enjoyed this video less version.
- 29:21This is so we're going to go out on YouTube.
- 29:22Obviously you, some of you have been listening to this on
- 29:24YouTube. It's just going to be the cover
- 29:27art for the podcast, but this is really nice not to do.
- 29:31It's been nice not to do a video version, but eventually
- 29:35depending on how long stuff is going on with my house,
- 29:38eventually I will break the camera equipment back out.
- 29:44I'm wondering if for the uncut episode.
- 29:46I think for the uncut episode though for this weekend, which
- 29:48are the uncuts are exclusive for my Patreon subscribers.
- 29:54It's still going to be a video version, but it's a there's a
- 29:57chance that it might not be the regular video setup with the
- 30:03full lighting and everything. I have to give it a little
- 30:05thought, but I feel like for my Patreon subscribers, they're
- 30:07paying money, so they deserve a little bit more.
- 30:10So maybe I still do a video version of them.
- 30:12Well, will I do a video version for Uncut?
- 30:14You're going to have to subscribe to my Patreon and find
- 30:17out. The links are down below.
- 30:18But until next time, bye y'all.
