Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: So should we should we pretend it's Christmas Eve or
- 0:03Speaker 1: should we just be honest and say it's it's Christmas Eve,
- 0:05Speaker 1: Eve Eve, the Eve of Christmas Eve.
- 0:10Speaker 2: The Eve of Christmas Eve. Yeah. Yeah.
- 0:12Speaker 1: We originally had this record scheduled for Christmas Eve, and
- 0:15Speaker 1: then we were like, we don't want to be doing
- 0:16Speaker 1: that on Christmas Eve.
- 0:17Speaker 2: No, I want to be like a little tipsy. I
- 0:22Speaker 2: want to be gaming. I want to be as cozy
- 0:24Speaker 2: as humanly possible for the entirety of Christmas Eve. Yes,
- 0:29Speaker 2: not Christmas Eve Eve. Christmas Eve Eve. On the other hand,
- 0:34Speaker 2: we can record as much as we want. We're going
- 0:36Speaker 2: to get every episode for the rest of the year.
- 0:38Speaker 2: We're going to get that recorded today.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Honestly, that would be so efficient.
- 0:43Speaker 2: It would be horrific and it would remove all of
- 0:45Speaker 2: the joy, But boy would it be efficient.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I just I just lose myself somewhere in July, like
- 0:51Speaker 1: Promoine July's things. It's July twenty twenty five. We're feeling hotsybe.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Maybe stick to a reasonable recording schedule, Yeah, so we
- 1:03Speaker 2: can enjoy ourselves along the way.
- 1:06Speaker 1: And I've just realized we've been doing all this Christmas
- 1:08Speaker 1: setup chat. But by the time anyone's listening to this,
- 1:11Speaker 1: it's at least January second. Christmas is in the rear
- 1:14Speaker 1: view mirror.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I hope
- 1:19Speaker 1: you had a wonderful festive holiday season.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Great New Year, New Year, new you if you want.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yep, that's that's Odra's inspiration for twenty twenty five. Those
- 1:31Speaker 1: are the reds. Put it on a ta towl.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome to Bonus Round. This is going to
- 1:52Speaker 2: be a looser monthly episode here on the gate Leapers Feed.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I'm Odra and I'm Matt. So what's going to be
- 2:00Speaker 2: in these episodes? What's not going to be in these episodes?
- 2:05Speaker 1: Oh? Implying everything?
- 2:07Speaker 2: Yeah, what what's not going to be here? We're gonna
- 2:11Speaker 2: have additional information on some of the standoms that we've covered.
- 2:15Speaker 2: We're gonna have more muses, We're gonna have a great
- 2:18Speaker 2: fucking time.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Still games still still, games, still still, games are coming up.
- 2:24Speaker 1: We've got We've got games.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Yeah, Now I'm actually invested. Now I'm interested in what
- 2:28Speaker 1: you've curated.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Incredible, Thank you. That's wonderful, but for real, Matt, just
- 2:34Speaker 2: so you do actually know what's going on, since you
- 2:37Speaker 2: were a little surprised, yes by game concept. This first one,
- 2:41Speaker 2: honestly is going to be more of like a meta chat.
- 2:44Speaker 2: You know, we'll talk about what the segments are going
- 2:47Speaker 2: to be going forward.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Like a little gate Leapers magazine.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Okay, I like this a little bit, a little bit
- 2:54Speaker 2: of here and there, and then next month will be
- 2:58Speaker 2: our first real round.
- 3:00Speaker 1: This one's fake.
- 3:03Speaker 2: It if you want to think about it that way.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I think it's real because I love being in this
- 3:07Speaker 2: space with you and podcasting.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Oh I love that too, But this one doesn't matter,
- 3:12Speaker 1: got it. I'm so much more calm now, Cool, cool, awesome.
- 3:16Speaker 1: So this is like bonus Round Session zero. Yes, this
- 3:20Speaker 1: is Bonus Round Session zero. Technically it's not required for
- 3:24Speaker 1: the rest of the campaign. You're going to get six
- 3:27Speaker 1: months into our character development and technically technically you don't
- 3:32Speaker 1: have to listen to it to get to that point.
- 3:34Speaker 1: But it's good to show up to build the rapport. Yeah,
- 3:37Speaker 1: with the new people in the room. It's good for
- 3:39Speaker 1: world building. Yeah, that's what we're here for. Great for
- 3:42Speaker 1: world building, great for understanding.
- 3:44Speaker 2: The law absolutely, Where are we coming from?
- 3:49Speaker 1: Where are we going?
- 3:50Speaker 2: Let's find out? Well, I know where we're going. Next,
- 3:53Speaker 2: we're going to go into some general admink of things.
- 3:56Speaker 1: A thing we've always been missing on this podcast feed
- 3:58Speaker 1: is we've been so bad admin. We've just released game
- 4:01Speaker 1: show after game show after game show with no thought
- 4:05Speaker 1: for whether this podcast should have any listeners or not.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and with sometimes we forget about our Patreon. But
- 4:12Speaker 2: some new things are happening with the Patreon. Yes, what
- 4:14Speaker 2: can you tell us about that?
- 4:16Speaker 1: Yes, so the Patreon used to be three paid tiers.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I've gotten rid of that middle tier, so now there
- 4:22Speaker 1: are just two tiers of support. But also there is
- 4:24Speaker 1: a third tier of support, and that tier is free.
- 4:28Speaker 2: What.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you can head on over to patreon dot com,
- 4:31Speaker 1: forward slash Gates, Leapers and just sign up to our
- 4:34Speaker 1: Patreon for free. And we're going to put all the
- 4:37Speaker 1: audio episodes up there, just everything we make in audio
- 4:41Speaker 1: form that you will find on a Spotify or an
- 4:44Speaker 1: Apple or a in some of the podcapture here, we're
- 4:49Speaker 1: going to put it up ad free on Patreon because
- 4:52Speaker 1: we think ads suck as well. They helped, Yes, they
- 4:56Speaker 1: help keep the lights on in some regards by having
- 4:59Speaker 1: ads on the main feed, but they're keeping the lights
- 5:03Speaker 1: on enough. Yes, So if you would prefer to listen
- 5:06Speaker 1: without ads and join us on the Patreon feed, you
- 5:10Speaker 1: can of course support us financially and get access to
- 5:13Speaker 1: the video versions of episodes and bonus episodes that we make.
- 5:18Speaker 1: But if you just listen on them on Spotify and
- 5:20Speaker 1: Apple anyway, you may as well sign up on Patreon
- 5:23Speaker 1: for free and get ad free episodes.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Absolutely. In other news for stuff that we don't promote
- 5:30Speaker 2: as regularly, we have an Instagram.
- 5:33Speaker 1: We do have an Instagram at Gateleaper's pod is our Instagram.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yeah, so you can follow us, you can like, you
- 5:40Speaker 2: can comment on our clips. I would love that. I
- 5:43Speaker 2: would love to see the comments and the likes. Thank you, yep.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Hoping to keep the clips rolling in twenty twenty five,
- 5:51Speaker 1: get those clips out there. This is what you're supposed
- 5:54Speaker 1: to do. It's the fastest way to gain more listeners
- 5:58Speaker 1: and get more eyes on the stuff that you do.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I am told by people in the industry. It's also
- 6:03Speaker 1: very tedious and time consuming and not fun. The moments
- 6:08Speaker 1: are fun, yeah.
- 6:09Speaker 2: And I think that's the thing of like we are
- 6:12Speaker 2: so focused on having such fun times and making such
- 6:17Speaker 2: fun content that we really love.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I don't want to do all the boring stuff, but
- 6:21Speaker 1: we will keep posting a few clips per per episode
- 6:25Speaker 1: onto Instagram and you can see those on Insta at
- 6:28Speaker 1: Gateleapers pod.
- 6:29Speaker 2: In the segment I am most excited about for the
- 6:33Speaker 2: Bonus round episodes going.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Forward for this little magazine show.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yes, is our mail bag where I will get to
- 6:40Speaker 2: read out your muses? Wat can you tell us about this?
- 6:45Speaker 1: We're opening up a mail bag. Yes, we're actually asking
- 6:49Speaker 1: for correspondence from listeners. This is incredible. Yes, okay, yeah,
- 6:53Speaker 1: the mail bag. Look, why come up with a more
- 6:56Speaker 1: inventive name. It's gonna be the We're going to be
- 6:58Speaker 1: reading emails and comments, comments that you can leave at
- 7:02Speaker 1: patreon dot com. Forward slash gate Leapers under our free
- 7:05Speaker 1: to access audio episodes. Look at that double promotion.
- 7:09Speaker 2: My gosh, you're getting good at this.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna open up the gate Leapers tubes where
- 7:15Speaker 1: you can send us your muses is specifically what we
- 7:18Speaker 1: would love to hear. My favorite segment on Gateleapers is
- 7:21Speaker 1: the muse segment before we play the games, where everyone
- 7:25Speaker 1: has a chance to share a key reason as to
- 7:27Speaker 1: why they love this fandom, this piece of media and
- 7:31Speaker 1: why it means so much to them, And that comes
- 7:34Speaker 1: in like so many different forms, and I never know
- 7:36Speaker 1: what anyone's answer is going to be. Yeah, so I'm
- 7:39Speaker 1: genuinely surprised when some people open up and some people
- 7:45Speaker 1: just make us absolutely roll on the floor laughing. Yes,
- 7:48Speaker 1: that's right. I use the long term of ruffle. And
- 7:52Speaker 1: so we want to hear your muses. I guess once
- 7:55Speaker 1: this is rolling, it will be a little bit easier
- 7:58Speaker 1: to be like, Hey, I'd love to hear it from
- 8:00Speaker 1: the last two episodes. What were your muses from Twin
- 8:04Speaker 1: Peaks the upcoming Twin Peaks episode? For example? Absolutely, what
- 8:08Speaker 1: is your Twin Peaks muse? And then we could be
- 8:11Speaker 1: reading it out on Bonus Round four weeks from now.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Oh incredible. I feel like since this is the first
- 8:18Speaker 2: episode of this and there's a little bit looser, this
- 8:21Speaker 2: is session zero of Bonus Round, if you have a
- 8:25Speaker 2: muse from any of the previous fandoms we've been in, Yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 2: I would love I would freaking love to see it.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Yeah, what's what's your favorite gate Leapers episode? Pick it?
- 8:36Speaker 1: What's your favorite fandom that we've leapt into. H pick
- 8:40Speaker 1: that gateleapers at gmail dot com. There'll be a link
- 8:43Speaker 1: in the description, or leave If you're listening on Spotify,
- 8:45Speaker 1: leave a comment. If you're listening on Patreon, leave a comment.
- 8:48Speaker 1: That's that's all part of the mail bag, Nebula. Yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 1: I'll check them all or you're just going to rifle
- 8:54Speaker 1: through all of them. Absolutely, absolutely, So what are some
- 8:59Speaker 1: of those fandoms that some of our leap frogs could
- 9:01Speaker 1: message in about, could offer their muses for?
- 9:05Speaker 2: Taylor Swift A big.
- 9:07Speaker 1: One, Sonic a w of course, always love our pro
- 9:12Speaker 1: wrestling episodes. Absolutely, nineties music, nineties I know lots of
- 9:17Speaker 1: people have different opinions on nineties music.
- 9:19Speaker 2: That is such a wide reaching one, and like music
- 9:22Speaker 2: is such a personal thing that I feel like there'd
- 9:25Speaker 2: be some really good nineties music muses. I am stalling
- 9:29Speaker 2: a little bit so that I can think of an episode.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Uh oh, Hitchhiker's Guide? Oh is that this year?
- 9:36Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 9:36Speaker 1: That was that was this past year?
- 9:38Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 9:38Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 9:39Speaker 1: Yeah? What inspired you from or what inspires you from?
- 9:41Speaker 1: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Absolutely, that would be so fun. Yeah, Futurama,
- 9:47Speaker 1: what's your Futurama muse. Who is your favorite minor character
- 9:50Speaker 1: from Futurama and why do they inspire you holiday? Yes,
- 9:55Speaker 1: the holiday episodes. All right, we've maybe ran of fandoms
- 10:01Speaker 1: that we can remember off the top of our dome.
- 10:02Speaker 1: But you've got the entire Gateleapers back catalog in front
- 10:06Speaker 1: of you. Yes, send us a muse. We'll read it
- 10:08Speaker 1: out on the next mail bag. It'll be a great time.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Can't wait to hear them Gateleapers at gmail dot com.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And there's a special treat for people who do so
- 10:18Speaker 2: after listening to this first episode. Yes, a giveaway.
- 10:22Speaker 1: There is a little bit of a giveaway. I can
- 10:24Speaker 1: even reach for the item that is going to be
- 10:25Speaker 1: given away. Hang on, PM, please do that, please do Thanks. So.
- 10:29Speaker 1: One of our episodes coming up later this month is
- 10:32Speaker 1: going to be romcom episode. We're going to be leaping
- 10:35Speaker 1: into the world of rom coms. And we had a
- 10:39Speaker 1: brilliant guest from the Triviality podcast, Neil Fisher, who has
- 10:45Speaker 1: written the Ultimate rom Com Trivia Book.
- 10:48Speaker 2: And that is both the name and an accurate description
- 10:53Speaker 2: of this trivia book. The questions are so fun. There's
- 10:57Speaker 2: like a rating scale of how rom to come. It
- 11:00Speaker 2: is like where it falls on the romance comedy scale.
- 11:05Speaker 1: The rom cometer. I love it.
- 11:06Speaker 2: It's so fun. The art is great. You'll see a
- 11:10Speaker 2: lot of rom coms that you know and love. It's
- 11:13Speaker 2: a gorgeous book.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a great trivia book for any trivia fan,
- 11:17Speaker 1: but especially trivia fans of rom coms. If you love
- 11:20Speaker 1: rom coms. It's basically a guide for rewatching your favorite
- 11:24Speaker 1: rom coms and doing a little quiz at the end
- 11:26Speaker 1: of it. Oh, which is just like what. I can't
- 11:29Speaker 1: think of a more fun way to rewatch your favorite
- 11:31Speaker 1: rom coms, especially around Valentine's Day.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. Yes, start in Valentine's Day and it's
- 11:37Speaker 2: just your It's just your twenty twenty five, this is
- 11:39Speaker 2: your new New Year's resolution. Yeah, watch every rom Com,
- 11:43Speaker 2: watch every quick.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Do it for New Year's I love it. And Neil
- 11:48Speaker 1: was kind enough to send us a bunch of copies
- 11:50Speaker 1: of The rom Com Ultimate Trivia Book, So in four
- 11:53Speaker 1: weeks at the end of the month, on the next
- 11:56Speaker 1: episode of Bonus Round the Three Muses that we read out,
- 11:59Speaker 1: we will also send a copy of The rom Com
- 12:02Speaker 1: Ultimate Trivia Book directly to you. So you can enjoy
- 12:05Speaker 1: this Valentine season.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Yeah, send me your muses. I really want to hear them.
- 12:12Speaker 2: This next segment, I do not have yet a title
- 12:15Speaker 2: for it.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 12:17Speaker 2: It's just I have written down here blank TBD clippings segment,
- 12:24Speaker 2: and I think I know what the intention of this
- 12:26Speaker 2: segment is. But Matt, this is one that you specifically
- 12:29Speaker 2: wanted me to include. Can you tell me what your
- 12:32Speaker 2: hopes and dreams are for this segment? Maybe we can
- 12:35Speaker 2: come up with the name.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yeah. I realize now that as I've just thrown sort
- 12:40Speaker 1: of ideas that you over the last couple of months
- 12:43Speaker 1: as we've discussed this show, it is sort of like yeah,
- 12:47Speaker 1: blank clippings and TBD. I guess I'll just express what
- 12:52Speaker 1: is on my mind for this. Sometimes when I'm researching
- 12:55Speaker 1: in you fandom or reacquainting myself in a media space,
- 13:00Speaker 1: I will find something that is like so interesting as
- 13:05Speaker 1: like either an anecdote or a story or an aspect
- 13:09Speaker 1: of it that's kind of impossible to fit into a
- 13:12Speaker 1: like trivia or improv games or anything like that, and
- 13:16Speaker 1: also is maybe a bit too long for to be
- 13:19Speaker 1: brought up by anyone or I don't know, in some
- 13:22Speaker 1: cases a bit of a downer or something like it's
- 13:25Speaker 1: the vibe, but it's still very interesting about that fandom
- 13:30Speaker 1: that space. Most of them are funny and lighthearted, and
- 13:34Speaker 1: most of them are good clippings. We can't call it
- 13:36Speaker 1: good clippings the editing room floor. The I mean, do
- 13:42Speaker 1: you want to lean into like leap leap frogs, skate leapers.
- 13:46Speaker 1: We are, We're gonna have some cute little frog characters
- 13:49Speaker 1: coming this year. Do we want to say, like sort
- 13:52Speaker 1: of the lilla pad of belated relevancy?
- 13:56Speaker 2: That's too wordy, okay there, but there's something in this
- 14:01Speaker 2: or just the lily pad of irrelevancy.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I really like the lily pad of irrelevancy.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Yeah, unless by the next episode I come up with
- 14:09Speaker 2: a shortened, even shorter portmanteau little pad rev Yeah, I'm
- 14:16Speaker 2: still probably gonna call it by its full title as
- 14:18Speaker 2: the main host, because it's I think it's important that
- 14:23Speaker 2: I use the full title.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Well, anyway, that's what I guess would normally be here,
- 14:28Speaker 1: but instead we've had a meta chat about what we'll
- 14:31Speaker 1: be here next time, because our last two episodes were
- 14:36Speaker 1: kind of our end of year ones in the form
- 14:38Speaker 1: of stat Leeper's and the Christmas Game Night, and so
- 14:42Speaker 1: it's like, I don't know, we could go back a
- 14:44Speaker 1: little bit further and talk any extra reality TV stuff
- 14:48Speaker 1: from twenty twenty four.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Oh my god, I'm so glad you suggested that. Oh yeah,
- 14:53Speaker 2: because before we had recorded the reality TV episode, I
- 14:58Speaker 2: had not yet watched Finding Mister Christmas.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I'm so glad there's a space to mention this.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Ah, because it hasn't it hasn't made it into anything
- 15:08Speaker 2: else really that much.
- 15:10Speaker 1: So Finding Mister Christmas has been the reality TV event
- 15:14Speaker 1: of the season in our household.
- 15:16Speaker 2: I abso absolutely. It's if you are unfamiliar with the
- 15:21Speaker 2: concept of Finding Mister Christmas, because it's not a phenomenon
- 15:26Speaker 2: or anything.
- 15:27Speaker 1: But it is what it sounds like.
- 15:29Speaker 2: It's exactly what it sounds like. Hallmark has created a
- 15:32Speaker 2: competition reality TV show where a bunch of hunks will
- 15:39Speaker 2: a bunch of Christmas hunks, a bunch of Christmas hunks
- 15:42Speaker 2: will compete to become the lead in a Hallmark Christmas movie.
- 15:47Speaker 1: To become the chunkiest hunk to dunkn You Hot Coco.
- 15:52Speaker 1: It's Christmas time.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Absolutely, it's incredible. It's all of the same type of
- 15:59Speaker 2: competition real TV stuff. We love of them, like, you know,
- 16:03Speaker 2: sitting around a house talking about what the challenges are,
- 16:06Speaker 2: but instead of drinking cocktails, instead of drinking like an
- 16:10Speaker 2: old fashion, it's just a bunch of guys in Christmas
- 16:12Speaker 2: sweaters with the cutest mug you've ever seen and being like, Wow,
- 16:16Speaker 2: that was a really tough acting challenge. I hope we
- 16:19Speaker 2: get to dance in the next one.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Just the whole house decorated completely Christmas decor.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and it's obviously filmed in like May, clearly
- 16:31Speaker 2: so clearly the outside so clearly filmed in May. But
- 16:36Speaker 2: a joy, I will not spoil anything about who wins.
- 16:40Speaker 1: In case next Christmas, you want to watch the previous
- 16:43Speaker 1: season of Finding Mister Christmas.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Yes, I hope they do it every single year.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Yeah, to find the new hotty for the latest Hallmark movies.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Incredibly festive, keep it up. Yeah it was. It was
- 16:56Speaker 1: a good show. And because we kind of like branded
- 16:59Speaker 1: that episode as like this is reality TV twenty twenty
- 17:01Speaker 1: four and I'd personally love to do it again next
- 17:05Speaker 1: year and talk about the hot reality shows of twenty
- 17:07Speaker 1: twenty five and play games based off of those shows.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I'm so glad we found a place to chat about
- 17:14Speaker 1: finding mister Christmas, because you best believe there would have
- 17:17Speaker 1: been some kind of finding Mister Christmas related probably like
- 17:22Speaker 1: finding mister an insert like yeah, holiday season or genre. Ooh,
- 17:28Speaker 1: that's more about the film, the whole film twenty twenty five,
- 17:31Speaker 1: we'll say.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Twenty five, twenty twenty five. Now, while the primary focus
- 17:38Speaker 2: of this episode is not games, it couldn't be a
- 17:43Speaker 2: gate Leaper's show without some game games. So this segment
- 17:48Speaker 2: is just Matt versus Odra. Play the jingle watch out
- 17:53Speaker 2: for my villain Era.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Don't mess with the games, Master Captain, power up. I'm
- 17:59Speaker 1: going to score the points.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Passing knowledge was enough.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to your doom.
- 18:05Speaker 2: I just hope we have a lot of fun.
- 18:08Speaker 1: And ignore this sentence. If you're a goddamn Lisa, you're
- 18:12Speaker 1: going down.
- 18:13Speaker 2: I want to fight. It wouldn't be a Gateleeper show
- 18:20Speaker 2: without a game. Yes, so welcome Aaron Randolph from bfytw
- 18:27Speaker 2: and gate Leapers.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Hello Aarn, Hi guys, Hello, Hello, Hello, I come bring
- 18:33Speaker 3: the game. We're gonna have so much fun. At least
- 18:36Speaker 3: I hope we have so much fun. Yes, I'm excited. Now,
- 18:40Speaker 3: you guys know what we're about to get up to, right.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I know, I know, Matt versus Aldright, that's all I know.
- 18:46Speaker 3: That's all you know. Okay, Well, this month you two
- 18:50Speaker 3: are going to be playing a slightly abbreviated version of
- 18:54Speaker 3: a game that we have played before on our podcast,
- 18:57Speaker 3: The Tooker's Wild.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Okay, yes please.
- 19:00Speaker 3: It might be familiar to a very popular game show
- 19:04Speaker 3: that has an oddly similar name, but I just want
- 19:07Speaker 3: to let you know it is in fact very different
- 19:09Speaker 3: and legally stay that's what I'll tell. The law is
- 19:12Speaker 3: I happen to go ahead and share my screen. So
- 19:16Speaker 3: here we are. We're on the set of The Chokers
- 19:18Speaker 3: Wild Covers Wild. Big gimmick is that there is a
- 19:22Speaker 3: slot machine with three wheels. You're going to spin these wheels,
- 19:26Speaker 3: right and on the wheels are going to be various categories,
- 19:29Speaker 3: and I'm going to go through what categories are for
- 19:31Speaker 3: this game. You have nineties music, okay, Indiana Jones all right,
- 19:36Speaker 3: Minecraft PlayStation and finally Wicked.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Oh, very topical, a lot of topical things here.
- 19:44Speaker 3: I love this. Yeah. So every time a category comes
- 19:48Speaker 3: up on the wheel, you can choose that to be
- 19:50Speaker 3: the category that you are going to answer a question from.
- 19:53Speaker 3: If you spin one of that category, it's called a single.
- 19:56Speaker 3: It's worth fifty cents. If you spin two of that category,
- 20:00Speaker 3: it's a double. It's worth a dollar. If you spin
- 20:03Speaker 3: all three, that's a triple, and it's worth two dollars
- 20:06Speaker 3: to you. Now, this is important because you're gonna go
- 20:09Speaker 3: back and forth taking turns, spinning the wheels and accumulating money.
- 20:14Speaker 3: But when one player hits five dollars or more, that's
- 20:18Speaker 3: when the game will end, as long as somebody has
- 20:22Speaker 3: a lead after the second player takes their final turn.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Okay, okay, yeah.
- 20:26Speaker 3: If you are tied at that point, we will keep
- 20:28Speaker 3: spinning until after each player's had an equal number of
- 20:31Speaker 3: turns at the wheels. Somebody has the lead at that point,
- 20:35Speaker 3: but usually someone gets to five. That's it, so nice. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:40Speaker 3: Now you two have levers in front of you. Unfortunately
- 20:43Speaker 3: they're entirely silent, so to make up for that, when
- 20:47Speaker 3: you spin the wheels, you're gonna actually make a chunk
- 20:51Speaker 3: noise with your mouth. Lovely stuff, and that will clue
- 20:56Speaker 3: me in as to when to spend these wheels and when.
- 21:00Speaker 3: It is really important because the wheels are constantly spinning.
- 21:03Speaker 3: They're spinning even now, even though you can't see it.
- 21:06Speaker 3: So it's goodness. It's gonna be completely random. And one
- 21:09Speaker 3: more thing I almost forgot to mention, there are some
- 21:11Speaker 3: tokers up on that wheel. If you see Stevie's face,
- 21:15Speaker 3: that is a wild and can be used in place
- 21:18Speaker 3: of any category. It can make a double or a triple,
- 21:21Speaker 3: or you can even go off the board if you
- 21:23Speaker 3: don't like the categories there are there as long as
- 21:25Speaker 3: there's one wild, Okay.
- 21:27Speaker 1: So if we see Stevie, it's it's wild.
- 21:30Speaker 3: It's very good. Stevie's wild.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Are you guys ready to play?
- 21:35Speaker 1: Absolutely? This sounds incredible.
- 21:37Speaker 3: All right, Matt, you are up first. When you're ready,
- 21:40Speaker 3: go ahead and give me a big old ka chunk.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna style simple court chunk.
- 21:47Speaker 3: And Matt Indiana Jones, it's PlayStation and minecraft, Okay, Okay,
- 21:56Speaker 3: which one of these would you like to attempt for
- 21:58Speaker 3: fifty cents?
- 21:59Speaker 1: I think for fifty cent I'd like to attempt PlayStation PlayStation.
- 22:02Speaker 3: It is all right, Matt. For fifty cents on PlayStation.
- 22:08Speaker 3: The original Sony PlayStation console launched in the same year
- 22:11Speaker 3: as the Oklahoma City bombing and the OJ Simpson murder trial.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Can you name the year?
- 22:18Speaker 1: Okay, I'm narrowed down. I'm whistle of early mid nineties,
- 22:24Speaker 1: round about when I was born, not long after. These
- 22:26Speaker 1: are the news events that I have no memory of,
- 22:28Speaker 1: but no around that. I'm gonna say nineteen ninety four.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Nineteen ninety four is incorrect. Sorry, Odra, you have a
- 22:37Speaker 3: chance to steal if you can give me the correct year.
- 22:41Speaker 2: I'm gonna I was also thinking nineteen ninety four, so
- 22:44Speaker 2: I'm gonna say nineteen ninety five.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Nineteen ninety five is correct. Damn Oder steals the fifty cents,
- 22:54Speaker 3: and it's your turn to spin.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Okay, cook chunk and Odra gains.
- 23:00Speaker 3: That's minecraft, nineties music and PlayStation another thing. Three entirely
- 23:07Speaker 3: different things, but it's your choice.
- 23:12Speaker 2: I don't know a ton about any of Let's go
- 23:15Speaker 2: nineties music for fun.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Nineties music for fun, and here, Madra is your nineties
- 23:21Speaker 3: music question for fifty cents, which nineteen ninety one Nirvana
- 23:26Speaker 3: album is credited with bringing grunge music into mainstream popularity.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Oh God, Jesus, this feels like it should be a
- 23:36Speaker 2: really easy one. Please don't attack me music fans. I
- 23:42Speaker 2: don't know. Is it that one with the baby on the.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Front that is sadly not the name of the album, Matt.
- 23:53Speaker 3: You can steal if you can tell me what the
- 23:55Speaker 3: album's name is.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Yes, the one with the baby be under water on
- 24:00Speaker 1: the now it's never never mind, never mind.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Never mind is correct? Well done, Mattee, let me us
- 24:09Speaker 3: fifty cents hi tie ballgame and it's Matt's. Matt's turned
- 24:14Speaker 3: to spend and Matt gets Indiana Jones Indiana Jones music.
- 24:24Speaker 3: So you can have Indiana Jones for a double or
- 24:27Speaker 3: nineties music for a single. What would you like?
- 24:29Speaker 1: We got it, go double, Aaron, We've got to go double.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Gotta go double, going with Indiana Jones for a dollar, Matt,
- 24:34Speaker 3: here's your question on Indiana Jones. In the end of
- 24:38Speaker 3: Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, it is finally revealed
- 24:41Speaker 3: that Indiana's real first name.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Is what uh Junia?
- 24:47Speaker 3: That is incorrect? No, no, Odra. You can steal if
- 24:53Speaker 3: you can tell me what his real first name is.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Gosh, oh that's no, that's his nickname. Oh that's what
- 24:58Speaker 1: he's dog.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I I do. I specifically, remember this. It's something
- 25:04Speaker 2: it's notably less cool than Indiana. Is it something like.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Less cool than the coolest name ever?
- 25:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna say it's something like Richard.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Jones. It is, sadly not Richard. The clue was in
- 25:21Speaker 3: the fact that his nickname was Junior. It's the same
- 25:24Speaker 3: first name as his father, Henry Henry Jones. Yes, everybody
- 25:36Speaker 3: gets that money. But that's okay, we're gonna keep playing.
- 25:39Speaker 3: It's your turn to spin. Okay, chunk And gets Wicked
- 25:48Speaker 3: PlayStation and Indiana Jones.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Let's go Wicked.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Oh well, let's go Wicked. I'm surprised Stevie hasn't shown
- 25:56Speaker 3: his face yet, but anyway, Ore, here is your fifty
- 26:01Speaker 3: cent question for on Wicked, and I think you'll get
- 26:05Speaker 3: this one in the musical due to her magic powers.
- 26:09Speaker 3: El Faba's skin is what bright color?
- 26:12Speaker 2: Oh green?
- 26:13Speaker 3: Is absolutely right? That is fifty cents to Odra tastes
- 26:19Speaker 3: the lead one dollar to fifty cents, but Matt can
- 26:22Speaker 3: easily catch up. Matt give her a spin. Good. There's
- 26:28Speaker 3: the steam the Wild, Wicked and PlayStation. So you can
- 26:34Speaker 3: take either Wicked or PlayStation for a dollar, or you
- 26:36Speaker 3: can go off the board for fifty cents, Wicked PlayStation
- 26:39Speaker 3: for a dollar. Yeah, you have a wild card, of course.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, I'm gonna ooh, okay, I'm gonna take PlayStation.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I know I didn't get right last time. I would
- 26:48Speaker 1: take PlayStation for a doll.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Okay, okay, respect, it's gonna be a dollar question on
- 26:52Speaker 3: PlayStation Matt and here it is. The first game for
- 26:55Speaker 3: the PlayStation one to sell over ten million copies, was
- 27:00Speaker 3: hailed by game magazine game fans quite possibly the best
- 27:04Speaker 3: game ever made. Can you name the game?
- 27:09Speaker 1: Okay, this could be, This could be a lot of things.
- 27:12Speaker 1: If it's like the first one sell of a ten
- 27:14Speaker 1: million copies, it's gonna think it's gonna have to be
- 27:16Speaker 1: something that's popular with everyone. So it's probably gonna be
- 27:20Speaker 1: more like a maybe a more family friendly game. Maybe.
- 27:23Speaker 1: So I'm gonna I'm just gonna say crash Bandicoot.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Crash Bandicoot is incorrect. I'm gonna throw it over to
- 27:29Speaker 3: aud you can steal if you can tell me what
- 27:32Speaker 3: was the first game on the PlayStation one to sell
- 27:34Speaker 3: over ten million copies.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I'm probably not gonna have a more likely answer than that,
- 27:40Speaker 2: but another game you know another game I know that
- 27:45Speaker 2: people were wild about. It might might have been the
- 27:49Speaker 2: PlayStation Laura Croft tomb Raider.
- 27:54Speaker 3: That is incorrect.
- 27:57Speaker 2: I thought it was the best game.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Ever, mad Do you eve another? Guests?
- 28:01Speaker 1: Is it actually one? Is it more like Resident Evil
- 28:04Speaker 1: or something like that?
- 28:05Speaker 3: Oh, guys, guys, it was a Jugernaut Final Fantasy seven
- 28:09Speaker 3: Fall SA Fantasy seven.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Yes, huge, That does cross a lot of a lot
- 28:15Speaker 1: of generations.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, all right, Well, no harm, no foul. But
- 28:20Speaker 3: it is Audra's turn to spin this.
- 28:23Speaker 2: This is its chunk.
- 28:26Speaker 3: There we go. Audre gets nineties music, nineties music and Minecraft.
- 28:34Speaker 2: I'm not gonna know it, but I gotta go nineties
- 28:37Speaker 2: music because it got It's like but if I happen
- 28:40Speaker 2: to know it, it's a dollar.
- 28:42Speaker 3: If you happen to know it, it's a dollar hole.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Hopefully you do know it. These aren't all hard. They're
- 28:47Speaker 3: supposed to there' supposed to be some easy ones. A here, hell,
- 28:50Speaker 3: this one qualifies, Oudra. Here's your question. What is the
- 28:54Speaker 3: name of the Spice Girls smash hit debut single released
- 28:58Speaker 3: in nineteen ninety.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Six, Wanna Be? I think it's just called Wannabe. Well,
- 29:03Speaker 2: if you want to be mad.
- 29:05Speaker 3: It is called wannabe. That's absolutely right, well done, Oudre.
- 29:09Speaker 2: I'm so nervous because I was like the mate, the
- 29:12Speaker 2: part that I remember that comes to mind, immediately, tell
- 29:17Speaker 2: me what you want, what I really really want. But
- 29:18Speaker 2: that's not the title.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Well as it happens, you knew it cold. So you
- 29:25Speaker 3: are in the lead. Odra, two dollars fifty cents. Matt,
- 29:28Speaker 3: it's time to catch up. Let's go, son, I'm gonna
- 29:30Speaker 3: I'm gonna spin get a triple. I'm gonna get a triple.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Im sure, I'm gonna oil my lever a second. Okay,
- 29:36Speaker 3: go for it. That might helps gets nineties music, nineties
- 29:44Speaker 3: music and place almost so close.
- 29:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna go nighties music. Gonna chase chase that dollar.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Yeah, that's fair, that's fair for a dollar. Matt is
- 29:56Speaker 3: playing nineties music. Here's your question, Matt, which are artist
- 30:00Speaker 3: released the nineteen ninety four album The Downward Spiral, featuring
- 30:05Speaker 3: the hit single Closer.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Okay, I think that is nine inch nails.
- 30:13Speaker 3: That is nine inch nails. Matt gets the dollar.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Catching up.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Dang, Matt has a dollar fifty Adra's up two dollars,
- 30:22Speaker 3: but it's Audra's turn Odra spin those wheels.
- 30:25Speaker 2: I'm just gonna reach over and I'm gonna use Matt's
- 30:27Speaker 2: lover really quick.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Okay, okay, and Odra yeats nine PlayStation and Choker Stevie's
- 30:38Speaker 3: wild So you can have PlayStation or nineties music for
- 30:41Speaker 3: a dollar, or you can go off the board for
- 30:42Speaker 3: fifty cents.
- 30:43Speaker 2: You know, let's go Wicked again wild card.
- 30:46Speaker 3: It's just oh, okay, so you're you're tossing the dollar away,
- 30:51Speaker 3: but if you're more comfortable with Wicked, let's do it.
- 30:54Speaker 2: I think there's a much better chance that I'll get
- 30:56Speaker 2: the wicked question right.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Let's find out. Here is your wicked question for fifty cents.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Odra Act one of the musical mostly takes place at
- 31:05Speaker 3: the school that Glinda and Alphaba attend together. What is
- 31:10Speaker 3: the school's name?
- 31:12Speaker 2: Chizz?
- 31:14Speaker 3: Chiz is absolutely right, well done.
- 31:16Speaker 1: That is very wetty, very clever.
- 31:20Speaker 3: You do know you're wicked all right? Back over to Matt,
- 31:23Speaker 3: who is just a dollar behind now, Matt spin Away.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Matt gets Minecraft nineties music and Minecraft.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Let's go for the dollar and go for of Minecraft.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Have a has Minecraft question.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Going for Minecraft. Let's see what Matt can do with
- 31:43Speaker 3: a dollar question. This will tie the game. Matt. Here
- 31:46Speaker 3: is your question, Matt, what is the name of the
- 31:49Speaker 3: creature you must defeat to unlock the exit portal that
- 31:53Speaker 3: ends the game of Minecraft.
- 31:55Speaker 1: I think that. Let me just double check. I think yeah,
- 32:01Speaker 1: not fall for a trap. I think it's an end
- 32:04Speaker 1: a dragon.
- 32:05Speaker 3: It is an Andrew Draggon met gets the dollar. It
- 32:09Speaker 3: is two fifty for both sides. In Audrey, we're back
- 32:12Speaker 3: to you.
- 32:13Speaker 2: The tension is insane.
- 32:15Speaker 1: I'm shaking.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Okay, okay, kuchunk and Audre gets toker.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Okay, Indiana Jones and PlayStation.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Let's go Indiana Jones for a dollar.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Indiana Jones for a dollar. I like it. Let's see, uh, Audre,
- 32:36Speaker 3: here's your question. One of Indiana Jones' most iconic moments
- 32:39Speaker 3: occurs when a man with a sword and menaces him
- 32:43Speaker 3: and he simply pulls a gun and shoots him. This
- 32:45Speaker 3: was supposed to be a full fight scene, but was
- 32:47Speaker 3: reduced to this after Harrison Ford contracted what illness.
- 32:52Speaker 2: It's between two in my mind that because I don't
- 32:56Speaker 2: actually know what either of them are, I know it
- 33:02Speaker 2: it's between I'll you know, I'll let the listeners in
- 33:07Speaker 2: I can't remember, and maybe it's neither of these. Dysentery
- 33:12Speaker 2: and diphtheria are both in my mind.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Oh shaw, the two big days.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna say dysentery. Maybe it's neither.
- 33:24Speaker 3: She said dysentery. She's right, it's absolutely well played. Yes, good.
- 33:31Speaker 3: Pick two dollars fifty for Matt, three dollars fifty for Audre.
- 33:36Speaker 3: It is Matt's turn to spin.
- 33:37Speaker 1: I was gonna say disco Feva.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Three Matt gets Minecraft, Wicked and PlayStation.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I'm feeling good about the Minecraft question I got right,
- 33:51Speaker 1: So let's go Minecraft.
- 33:52Speaker 3: All right, Let's see if you can make it work
- 33:54Speaker 3: for you again for fifty cents. Matt, here's your question,
- 33:58Speaker 3: Oh Matt. Minecraft first released in the same year as
- 34:02Speaker 3: pap Patrol. Also the same year Osa Have bin Laden
- 34:05Speaker 3: was killed and twitch dot tv was launched. What year was?
- 34:11Speaker 1: Okay? So the PlayStation one, I let myself down, but
- 34:14Speaker 1: I was only two, whereas this one I have less
- 34:17Speaker 1: of an excuse for very conscious, very present. For this time,
- 34:22Speaker 1: I'm torn between two years whens bin Laden taken out. Okay,
- 34:29Speaker 1: just think back to raw. Honestly, that is what I'm
- 34:33Speaker 1: thinking of, is John Cena announcing.
- 34:35Speaker 3: That announcing that have been lost instead.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Yep, that's that's one of I think I'm gonna go
- 34:44Speaker 1: twenty eleven.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Twenty eleven is exactly right, Matt, well done.
- 34:52Speaker 2: God damn, Adra.
- 34:56Speaker 3: It is your spin Ca Chunk and Oudre gets nineties music,
- 35:03Speaker 3: nineties music and Indiana Jones.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Let's go nineties music. Let's go for this dollar, all right.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Or the big dollar. This will put her within fifty
- 35:13Speaker 3: cents of winning the game. Audre here, Audra, here is
- 35:17Speaker 3: your question. Yes, mc hammer's signature song you Can't Touch
- 35:22Speaker 3: This led to a lawsuit as it sampled what Rick
- 35:26Speaker 3: James song without permission?
- 35:30Speaker 2: Under Pressure? Is that the one? Is that the one
- 35:34Speaker 2: that I'm gonna lock it in because I'm.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Yes, under pressure is incorrect. You have a chance to
- 35:43Speaker 3: steal and get much closer to winning the game.
- 35:48Speaker 1: I think I know which bit will be the bit
- 35:51Speaker 1: that samples, but I couldn't name the song I've got
- 35:55Speaker 1: I've got nothing?
- 35:56Speaker 3: Oh ouch? Okay, Yeah, well I was gonna say under
- 36:01Speaker 3: Pressure was sampled by Vanilla Ice. Yeah, whereas mc hammers
- 36:06Speaker 3: you can't touch this sampled super freaky Rick. Yes, so
- 36:13Speaker 3: no money there. Uh, we're gonna switch back over to Matt.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Matt take a big spin drunk, and Matt gets tooker Minecraft. Oh, Matt,
- 36:31Speaker 3: you have a triple two tokers and Minecraft. Now if
- 36:34Speaker 3: you go for the If you go for Minecraft, Audre
- 36:38Speaker 3: is gonna have to get something on her next spin
- 36:40Speaker 3: that ties or beats you because you will have hit
- 36:42Speaker 3: five dollars. On the other hand, you could take the
- 36:46Speaker 3: two wilds and go off the board for a dollar.
- 36:49Speaker 3: What do you want to do.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Let's let's stick with Minecraft. It's been good to me.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Let's go for the big one for.
- 36:57Speaker 3: And to cross the finish line. Matt, here is your
- 37:00Speaker 3: question on Minecraft of cake, cookies, pizza, or soup. Which
- 37:07Speaker 3: food item cannot be crafted in Minecraft?
- 37:11Speaker 1: Okay, I've got visual memories of cake, and I'm pretty
- 37:16Speaker 1: sure you can make multiple kinds of soup. So I'm
- 37:18Speaker 1: between cookies and pizza and I cannot. I can kind
- 37:24Speaker 1: of picture having cookies in my hand, but I cannot
- 37:26Speaker 1: picture having pizza, So I'm gonna say pizza you cannot
- 37:28Speaker 1: make in Minecraft.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Final answer. Final answer, Well, that is a shame for
- 37:37Speaker 3: Audre because you just got r Yes, you son of
- 37:40Speaker 3: a man.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Classic Game show Swave so.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Matt has five dollars, Audrey, you have three dollars fifty.
- 37:49Speaker 3: You must spin something with a triple, otherwise you cannot win.
- 37:54Speaker 2: You know it's a long shot, but you know I'm
- 37:57Speaker 2: in it. We've got to try.
- 37:59Speaker 3: I've got faith. Then you give it a shot whenever
- 38:01Speaker 3: you're ready. Remember they are spending, so when you decide
- 38:04Speaker 3: to do this is when it will. It will randomly
- 38:07Speaker 3: choose what you're going to get. So go for it.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Good chunk and Odra gets PlayStation PlayStation Okay, and Wig
- 38:17Speaker 3: it's not enough. She cannot get a triple. Matt is
- 38:21Speaker 3: our winner.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Yay, one nail, one nail to me.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Incredible.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Oh I'm I'm so glad I won the first one
- 38:28Speaker 1: so I can be out front on this thing. But
- 38:34Speaker 1: very good game, mar Congratulations Matt.
- 38:36Speaker 3: But did you know the game's not over?
- 38:38Speaker 2: What? What?
- 38:39Speaker 3: Come on? I can't do this and not have a
- 38:43Speaker 3: bonus game. You know I said that these were worth money, right, Well,
- 38:46Speaker 3: I'm going to donate five dollars to the charity of
- 38:48Speaker 3: your choice. Now I'm going to give you a chance
- 38:51Speaker 3: to get twenty more dollars. We replaced the wheels instead
- 38:55Speaker 3: of categories. Now there are dollar amounts. There's twenty five cents,
- 38:59Speaker 3: fifty seventy five, a dollar, a dollar fifty and two dollars.
- 39:04Speaker 3: But behind one of these wheels is Smoggie the stone
- 39:07Speaker 3: or dragon. You're gonna spend these wheels and accumulate money.
- 39:12Speaker 3: If you can manage to get to ten dollars total
- 39:15Speaker 3: without seeing Smoggie, I will raise that up to twenty
- 39:19Speaker 3: dollars even and add that to the total, and I
- 39:21Speaker 3: will donate twenty five dollars to the charity of your choice.
- 39:25Speaker 3: At any time, you can just stop and keep the
- 39:27Speaker 3: money if you have a fear of Smoggy showing up.
- 39:29Speaker 3: But if Smoggy shows up at any point, you will
- 39:31Speaker 3: lose anything that is banked in this current game. The
- 39:34Speaker 3: five dollars you want already is safe. Okay, that's so, so
- 39:38Speaker 3: you might as well take a first spin because it's harmless.
- 39:41Speaker 3: There's one more thing I should tell you. There's another
- 39:42Speaker 3: way to win besides getting to ten. If you spind
- 39:45Speaker 3: a natural triple all three of the same, it instantly
- 39:48Speaker 3: jumps to ten dollars and you will instantly win. Incredible,
- 39:53Speaker 3: All right, Matt, whenever you're ready, take your first spin.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Absolutely this. First of all, thank you for creating Bonus Round,
- 40:01Speaker 1: perfect game show vibes. Yes, let's do it for charity.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Let's spin.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Junk and Matt gets in his first spin a dollar
- 40:09Speaker 3: fifty damn fifty cents and two dollars. Why that's a
- 40:15Speaker 3: four dollars spin right there. Do you want to stop
- 40:18Speaker 3: and take the four dollars or do you want to
- 40:20Speaker 3: spin again?
- 40:21Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna I think with totals nine dollars,
- 40:24Speaker 1: is going to spin again? Try and get that total
- 40:26Speaker 1: to ten.
- 40:27Speaker 3: I think you just need six. It's going to be
- 40:29Speaker 3: at least two spins. But you can do it. Dunk
- 40:33Speaker 3: and Matt gets fifty cents, fifty cents seventy five. Okay,
- 40:41Speaker 3: that's a dollar seventy five. Bring your total to five
- 40:44Speaker 3: seventy five. You've now doubled your money from the main game.
- 40:46Speaker 3: Do you want to keep going? You are four dollars
- 40:49Speaker 3: in a quarter away from winning. It can be done
- 40:52Speaker 3: in one spin.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Oh that is so tempting.
- 40:55Speaker 2: See you all now lost in one spin.
- 40:57Speaker 1: It can all be lost in one spin if monkey.
- 41:00Speaker 3: But I love that they we're pretending that this is
- 41:03Speaker 3: high stakes.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Look I was gonna say this is kind of the
- 41:08Speaker 1: predicament that I've been in when watching game shows my
- 41:11Speaker 1: entire life, when I've always been like, it's for charity,
- 41:13Speaker 1: it's for charity. Just take the money, Just take the
- 41:15Speaker 1: money and back what you've got, do it. And then
- 41:18Speaker 1: but now I'm here, I'm like, I want to spin
- 41:19Speaker 1: again to see if I can get it to ten dollars.
- 41:21Speaker 1: So why k he's doing it?
- 41:25Speaker 3: And he gets seventy five two dollars and you did it.
- 41:31Speaker 2: Yes, yes, incredible.
- 41:35Speaker 3: Seventy five cents two dollars and a dollar fifty gets
- 41:38Speaker 3: you exactly for twenty five and directly to ten dollars.
- 41:41Speaker 3: It's a win. Well done, Matt, congratulations, Yes, yeah, win,
- 41:47Speaker 3: just for a bit of fun.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Uh.
- 41:49Speaker 3: Smoggy was only ever hiding under one of these wheels.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Which one do you think he's hiding under? Left? Middle
- 41:54Speaker 3: or right? It doesn't really matter. There's no stakes on this.
- 41:58Speaker 3: It's just for fun.
- 41:59Speaker 2: I would say right, so that's the last one.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Reveal, Oh that's clever. I'm gonna say middle, just for
- 42:06Speaker 1: just to like, in the middle.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Let's see who's right, or if neither of them are.
- 42:11Speaker 3: He was in the left wheel, he was in the
- 42:13Speaker 3: left wheel the whole time. In any event, Matt's congratulations,
- 42:17Speaker 3: you've won the first bonus game and you have won
- 42:20Speaker 3: for your chosen charity, whatever that turns out to be.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Twenty five dollars.
- 42:25Speaker 1: Oh, thank you so much, thank you for this opportunity.
- 42:28Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you for letting me come and play these
- 42:31Speaker 3: ridiculous games. I've got more. We're doing this again, and yeah,
- 42:36Speaker 3: we're gonna have more and more fun. So I'm looking
- 42:38Speaker 3: forward to it. But thank you so much for having me.
- 42:40Speaker 3: And whenever you want or if you know now which
- 42:43Speaker 3: charity you want to give that to, you can just
- 42:44Speaker 3: let me know. But whenever, it's.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Clever, so I should probably think about it instead of
- 42:49Speaker 1: just blowing out one of the tens in my head.
- 42:51Speaker 3: That's fair. That's fair. It's fair. You can always like
- 42:55Speaker 3: write it in the show notes.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it'll be Look if you're listening to this,
- 42:59Speaker 1: it's in the show notes.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Aaron, you are so freaking wonderful. Thank you so much,
- 43:08Speaker 2: Thank you, beautiful game.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Very kind of you to say, I am just having
- 43:12Speaker 3: a ball and you guys are letting me have a ball,
- 43:14Speaker 3: So thank you so much for that.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Oh incredible one nail one nail one, nail, Neil.
- 43:19Speaker 3: There's plenty of chances to catch up. There's gonna be
- 43:21Speaker 3: so many chances to catch up.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Thank you so much. One on Okay, okay, now, I yeah,
- 43:33Speaker 2: I get that, but I think that it's probably less
- 43:36Speaker 2: important that we focus on like who won and focus
- 43:41Speaker 2: more on the fact that that was a really fun game.
- 43:45Speaker 1: It was a really fun game. I can focus on that.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Yes, and Aaron was incredible.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 43:51Speaker 2: If you enjoyed that game, you can find Aaron's podcast
- 43:55Speaker 2: that he is the host on. For more games, check
- 43:59Speaker 2: out b f Y. You can also check out his
- 44:03Speaker 2: book in the written and audio book forms, Fane by
- 44:08Speaker 2: Aaron Randolph.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Yes, it's so good.
- 44:11Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely check those things out, especially if.
- 44:15Speaker 1: You love that game. Yeah, Aaron's great support his stuff.
- 44:19Speaker 2: You can find more bfytw and Fane by Aaron Randolph.
- 44:23Speaker 1: But still one nail ah fuck off?
- 44:28Speaker 2: Is there anything else that you may have for us, Matt.
- 44:32Speaker 1: I think that's about it for this episode. I'm just
- 44:34Speaker 1: excited to hear everyone's muses on the next bonus round.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Yes, that's gonna be so much fun. What episodes do
- 44:43Speaker 2: we have coming up in the next.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Oh, this is very exciting because now we are a
- 44:48Speaker 1: weekly podcast releasing weekly next week. We have our unique
- 44:53Speaker 1: gate Leapers. Oh, I should say the game shows are
- 44:56Speaker 1: now called Fandemonium. Oh yeah, you're hearing that for the
- 44:59Speaker 1: first time. The shows will now be called Fandemonium. It
- 45:02Speaker 1: is slightly more applicable to what's happening as a name,
- 45:06Speaker 1: but still just as complicated to spell and say. So
- 45:09Speaker 1: it's not any more helpful than Gatesleepers as a title.
- 45:13Speaker 2: I will say, telling people in person the name of
- 45:17Speaker 2: the podcast Pandemonium will be a lot easier for me
- 45:21Speaker 2: to explain that's true, that's true. Gate Leapers.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but we'll still want to mention that gate Leapers
- 45:27Speaker 1: is the name of the Collectively we are the gatekeepers.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Anyone who makes the things on here is a gate Leaper.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Incredible.
- 45:34Speaker 1: So, yes, Fandemonium the first one of the carrying on
- 45:38Speaker 1: out annual tradition that will be guest hosted by someone else,
- 45:41Speaker 1: and I will be on the panel. And that someone
- 45:43Speaker 1: else is from All Drew. Yes, Drew is hosting a
- 45:50Speaker 1: Twin Peaks themed Fandemonium, which will be dropping next week.
- 45:54Speaker 1: I cannot wait for you to hear that. It's so good.
- 45:58Speaker 2: Yes, so much fun. It's so fun. Obviously we love
- 46:03Speaker 2: having Matt as the games master, but it's really fun
- 46:06Speaker 2: to see everyone's different takes on running an episode of
- 46:10Speaker 2: now Pandemonium.
- 46:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that'll be a blast. And then two weeks from now,
- 46:16Speaker 1: a week after the Twin Peaks episode, we have another
- 46:20Speaker 1: brand new show. Just like how this Wan's a brand
- 46:23Speaker 1: new show bonus Round, we will have a brand new
- 46:26Speaker 1: series hosted co hosted by Drew Shulman and Jason Winn.
- 46:32Speaker 1: It's Drew and Jason. It's the beef Cheek Brothers. Oh,
- 46:35Speaker 1: you know him, you love them, You know them, you
- 46:37Speaker 1: love them. They're here with a brand new show called
- 46:39Speaker 1: press Play.
- 46:40Speaker 2: They'll be comparing video game movies and the video games themselves.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Hilarity ensues. Of course, it's the two of them. You
- 46:48Speaker 2: can't have Jason and Drew in a situation and it
- 46:51Speaker 2: not be fun and funny.
- 46:52Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't have a pair of beef cheek brothers
- 46:55Speaker 1: and them not take each other's cheeks and make the
- 46:58Speaker 1: laughter come out.
- 47:00Speaker 2: I think I think that's how that works.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it's Look. I've heard the first couple of episodes
- 47:06Speaker 1: that they've recorded, and it is a fantastically interesting series
- 47:11Speaker 1: that looks at video game movie adaptations as well as
- 47:15Speaker 1: the video games that they came from. It's the perfect
- 47:17Speaker 1: Gateleepers mashup of culture and mediums. I think in redit games, movies,
- 47:23Speaker 1: the history of both all in one.
- 47:25Speaker 2: I love it.
- 47:26Speaker 1: So that is in two weeks time. Do listen to
- 47:29Speaker 1: that when it drops check it out as they say, yes,
- 47:33Speaker 1: and then there'll be a brand new Pandemonium after that,
- 47:37Speaker 1: and then we'll be back with a Bonus Round after
- 47:40Speaker 1: that where we will read out your muses, which you
- 47:42Speaker 1: can send them in to us Gateleepers at gmail dot
- 47:46Speaker 1: com send a email with your muses.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Are there going to be any other special things happening?
- 47:52Speaker 2: On that next Bonus Round episode? There will be how
- 47:55Speaker 2: did you know I also make this podcast? Oh yeah,
- 47:59Speaker 2: that's true. We had a meeting about it. I'm god,
- 48:03Speaker 2: I don't know what.
- 48:03Speaker 1: You want me to say. So on the next Bonus
- 48:08Speaker 1: Round at the end of January, we will be announcing
- 48:11Speaker 1: the live date for our first ever live show at
- 48:15Speaker 1: the Peak Improv Theater here in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where
- 48:19Speaker 1: we are based. We will be doing Pandemonium for the
- 48:21Speaker 1: first time ever live in front of a real audience
- 48:25Speaker 1: of real people. I'm so excited. Yeah, it's gonna be incredible.
- 48:32Speaker 1: I am excited to bring our brand of chaos to
- 48:35Speaker 1: that space and see what happens.
- 48:39Speaker 2: I think it's gonna be great.
- 48:41Speaker 1: Yeah. I think we've got some strong games that could
- 48:43Speaker 1: work really well in a live format, especially if we
- 48:47Speaker 1: can like project some merch items upon the big screen.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, if we can project the merch items
- 48:53Speaker 2: on screen the photos of them, Oh, that would be
- 48:57Speaker 2: so good. We're gonna make it happen.
- 48:59Speaker 1: Yeah, that's going to be a lot of fun. Absolutely,
- 49:02Speaker 1: So live date coming up on the next Bonus round,
- 49:05Speaker 1: So by the end of January, there will be a
- 49:07Speaker 1: date for your diaries.

- 49:20Speaker 2: is social media?
- 49:21Speaker 1: Yeah, we are at Gates Leapers pod on Instagram. That's
- 49:25Speaker 1: the main one we use where all the videos get posted.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I think we have the at Gateleapers handle as well,
- 49:29Speaker 1: but it's not where everything is and where everyone is.
