- 0:08Speaker 1: Ye, Shooters, it's time hell love Love No. Welcome to
- 0:16Speaker 1: the Naughty but Night Show. I'm your host, Rom Shooter.
- 0:19Speaker 1: It is Friday, which means our dear friend Cory Andrew
- 0:22Speaker 1: joins us. Hey, Corey, are you there? I am here
- 0:26Speaker 1: with bells, bells, dinglingling. Let's jump into the show, Cory,
- 0:30Speaker 1: We've got a time. I goss it to get to
- 0:31Speaker 1: What time is it? My friends?
- 0:33Speaker 2: It is tea time.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Big controversial story at the top of the show. Perez
- 0:38Speaker 1: Hilton's sister Barbara has done a big interview with The
- 0:42Speaker 1: New York Post, a really long, in depth interview with
- 0:45Speaker 1: the Post. Several of Perez's friends. Remember, I've known him
- 0:48Speaker 1: for twenty five years. I'm not that happy with this.
- 0:51Speaker 1: This is what the problem is. The family is asking
- 0:54Speaker 1: for privacy lit at the same time they're doing interviews.
- 0:58Speaker 1: It doesn't add up. We are trying to give Perez
- 1:02Speaker 1: the grace he wouldn't have given us. I love that expression,
- 1:05Speaker 1: because we can be bigger than this. I don't think
- 1:08Speaker 1: anybody deserves stuff. I don't believe in karma. This is
- 1:12Speaker 1: just awful. And I have a lot of sympathy, and
- 1:15Speaker 1: I have a lot of mixed feelings about this, but
- 1:19Speaker 1: I can also be kind and not delete the past.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Perez has done some really awful things, and at the
- 1:27Speaker 1: moment my concern is those kids, who thankfully are now
- 1:31Speaker 1: with the mother. The mother we broke this story first,
- 1:34Speaker 1: the mother is taking custody or trying to get custody
- 1:37Speaker 1: of the kids. But now his sister, who has really
- 1:40Speaker 1: ran that site, at least for the last decade, it
- 1:43Speaker 1: has been Barbara. Perez doesn't do that much posting anymore.
- 1:47Speaker 1: They might want you to think it's Perez, but I
- 1:49Speaker 1: know it is his sister. This is where it gets complicated.
- 1:54Speaker 1: His sister has always been in his shadow, yet she's
- 1:58Speaker 1: been doing the work, and now there's a feeling, at
- 2:01Speaker 1: least in the inner cirtle, that this is her moment,
- 2:05Speaker 1: this is her time to step forward, this is her
- 2:08Speaker 1: moment to shine in a Shakespearean the dynamics in this family.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Let's keep remembering there is somebody in a hospital who
- 2:18Speaker 1: tried to kill themselves, so let's definitely remember that. But
- 2:21Speaker 1: now this jostling for attention, this ambition, this jealousy seems
- 2:30Speaker 1: to be bubbling up, and we should point out as well,
- 2:33Speaker 1: the website doesn't do very well anymore. The numbers have
- 2:37Speaker 1: not been good in basically a decade. For a minute,
- 2:40Speaker 1: it was the biggest site in the world, and we
- 2:42Speaker 1: all went the nuts for it. But it called very quickly.
- 2:44Speaker 1: And that wasn't just Perez's personality and vicious nature that
- 2:49Speaker 1: did that. The world change Now we have social media,
- 2:52Speaker 1: Now we have substat now we have other newsletters, we
- 2:54Speaker 1: have other ways to get information. I've had to adapt.
- 2:58Speaker 1: My website doesn't exist anymore now I have a substep.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Instead of you coming to me each day, I come
- 3:04Speaker 1: to you and that's through email, and that's what Perez
- 3:08Speaker 1: has not really adapted to. So I'm told over the
- 3:11Speaker 1: last few days, traffic has gone through the roof on
- 3:14Speaker 1: the website because everybody's so interested in this story. I've
- 3:17Speaker 1: not visited Perez's website in a decade, but I did
- 3:20Speaker 1: this week, and the family are using the website to
- 3:22Speaker 1: put out official statements. So this is starting to feel
- 3:28Speaker 1: a little opportunist. It feels as if it's capitalizing financially
- 3:32Speaker 1: momentarily on this, and that doesn't feel good. What are
- 3:35Speaker 1: your thought? It's complicated one, but I know you can
- 3:37Speaker 1: handle it. What do you think?
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we also spoke recently about how seemingly Perez
- 3:42Speaker 2: himself was enjoying some of the actual return to the spotlight.
- 3:48Speaker 2: So you know, I'm not going to make any assessment
- 3:51Speaker 2: there other than you know, he's been sort of hungry
- 3:54Speaker 2: for the return for a long time, So I'm not
- 3:56Speaker 2: going to say his attempt at what he had done
- 3:59Speaker 2: was not serious. Is because it was very disturbing and
- 4:01Speaker 2: it could have easily resulted in actual death. But you
- 4:05Speaker 2: have to wonder in situations where people like this are
- 4:08Speaker 2: somewhat addicted to attention, as we know he has been,
- 4:13Speaker 2: how far will someone go to get it? And then,
- 4:16Speaker 2: of course how far will someone go who's been starving
- 4:19Speaker 2: for it like his sister. These are really serious human
- 4:22Speaker 2: traits that we've seen over and over again destroy people.
- 4:25Speaker 2: So it's a heck of a way to sort of
- 4:28Speaker 2: get your moment, to capitalize on your brother's attempted suicide,
- 4:31Speaker 2: But it could very well be what's happening. This may
- 4:33Speaker 2: be her moment, she thinks.
- 4:34Speaker 1: So that's what the whispers are, kry, that's what everybody's
- 4:37Speaker 1: talking about. Who I'm talking to, who know? Prayers? We've
- 4:40Speaker 1: seen this with reality stars, haven't we where the reality
- 4:43Speaker 1: gets blurred. The character that they play is themselves. So
- 4:46Speaker 1: it's not like then Nicole Kidsman or an actress playing
- 4:48Speaker 1: the character that you can put to one side and
- 4:51Speaker 1: go home, although actors do struggle with that too. You're
- 4:54Speaker 1: playing yourself on television and then you become that character.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I always used to say to my friends, I'm not
- 4:59Speaker 1: sure where Jennifer Lopez started and ended and j Loo
- 5:03Speaker 1: began like church together. And so Perez has played literally
- 5:09Speaker 1: he's not Perez. His name's Mario. He's played a character
- 5:12Speaker 1: of Perez for over twenty years, and I think he's
- 5:15Speaker 1: got character away with what is real and what isn't.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And this happens all the time in reality TV. People
- 5:24Speaker 1: that are starved for attention, people that are influencers. I've
- 5:27Speaker 1: seen this a lot with the generation of influencers, people
- 5:32Speaker 1: who provide content. It's constantly feeding the beast. They live
- 5:36Speaker 1: on camera. That's how they make their money and we
- 5:39Speaker 1: reward them. The more controversial. We've seen this from Bethany
- 5:43Speaker 1: Frankel and Teresa on The Housewives. The more controversial, the
- 5:47Speaker 1: more outrageous, the more awful things you say to Ka Carlson,
- 5:51Speaker 1: the more people are going to watch and Perez has
- 5:56Speaker 1: been rewarded for years for really bad behavior. This, my
- 6:00Speaker 1: friends tell me, was going to explode. They knew trouble
- 6:04Speaker 1: and they're surprised it actually didn't happen sooner. Now we're
- 6:08Speaker 1: finding out just a few weeks before the attempted suicide,
- 6:11Speaker 1: Perez checked himself into hospital for severe depression. So we're
- 6:15Speaker 1: going to have a lot of these stories coming forward.
- 6:17Speaker 1: But that brings us to our whole question of the day.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I want to know what you think about this. Perez's
- 6:22Speaker 1: sister is out there doing interviews, exclusive interviews while asking
- 6:27Speaker 1: for privacy. Should she shut up? Should she be quiet?
- 6:31Speaker 1: Is this a moment to not capitalize on the press,
- 6:34Speaker 1: to not make more money on the website, to not
- 6:36Speaker 1: tell your brother's story. I think I would have just
- 6:39Speaker 1: put out a very brief statement and that would have
- 6:41Speaker 1: been it no more. Now all my focus would be
- 6:44Speaker 1: on my brother healing of pereers. That doesn't seem to
- 6:47Speaker 1: be the total focus. Here once again, a very long
- 6:51Speaker 1: exclusive interview from the sister. What do you think? Should
- 6:54Speaker 1: she just shut up? Hey? Go vote on our ex
- 6:57Speaker 1: page at Twitter page, at Naughty Nice rab Our Facebook page,
- 7:01Speaker 1: is Norty Gossip and be sure to check back on
- 7:04Speaker 1: Monday to hear your results. Hey, why are you working
- 7:08Speaker 1: on Corey? Yes?
- 7:10Speaker 2: Well, music mogul extraordinary. David Foster is pushing back hard
- 7:14Speaker 2: on claims that he deliberately snubbed Meghan Markle at his
- 7:17Speaker 2: big charity Gallas or the music legend, is saying that
- 7:20Speaker 2: there's this viral moment that's going on and going around
- 7:24Speaker 2: the internet, and it was simply a misunderstanding, he says. Now,
- 7:27Speaker 2: he insists that he'd actually already greeted Megan and Harry
- 7:29Speaker 2: before the cameras called him allegedly just like walking past
- 7:34Speaker 2: Megan on the red carpet, and Foster called Harry and
- 7:37Speaker 2: Meghan dear friends. That's a quote, And he praised them
- 7:40Speaker 2: for being very gracious and selfless guests. And he blamed
- 7:43Speaker 2: the awkward looking footage on simple positioning in a room.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And he calls the claims of a snub a very
- 7:49Speaker 2: hurtful lie. Now, the couple have been they've maintained a
- 7:52Speaker 2: close friendship with Foster and Katherine McPhee for years, particularly
- 7:56Speaker 2: Harry and Foster. Now I know there's currently bit of
- 8:00Speaker 2: the political landscape is going on too because of the
- 8:03Speaker 2: fact that you know, I think Faster and McFee have
- 8:06Speaker 2: one particular political leaning and Megan and have another. So
- 8:09Speaker 2: I know that could be something that's maybe fueling this
- 8:12Speaker 2: on the back end, but really, I don't think there's
- 8:14Speaker 2: anything there. You know, positioning in a room can look
- 8:18Speaker 2: one way.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Off with care. Yeah, A couple of thoughts here. One,
- 8:20Speaker 1: I have a report yesterday and a breaking news story
- 8:23Speaker 1: on my substack that there are some political dealings here
- 8:27Speaker 1: that there's been a little bit of an I sing,
- 8:28Speaker 1: a little bit of a cooling of the relationship. Let's
- 8:30Speaker 1: remember that David Fospher and his wife they threw a
- 8:34Speaker 1: fundraiser for Spencer Pratt in California where she was singing
- 8:39Speaker 1: You're simply the Best teena Turner song to Spencer Pratt, right,
- 8:43Speaker 1: and so it was very controversial. I'm told Meghan was
- 8:45Speaker 1: invited to that fundraiser, did not go. Meghan has been
- 8:49Speaker 1: very clear about her political views. So is there a
- 8:51Speaker 1: little bit of frostiness here? Is there a little bit
- 8:54Speaker 1: of cooling? Yes, it makes me sad, but I think
- 8:56Speaker 1: that's happened maybe in all of our lives over the
- 8:58Speaker 1: last ten years or so it's tricky juggling all this.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I'm also aware to as a former publicists that these
- 9:06Speaker 1: red carpets, you've worked so many of them, Corey, these
- 9:09Speaker 1: red carpets, they are not a total picture of what's
- 9:13Speaker 1: going on. So often the celebrities meet and greek behind
- 9:16Speaker 1: the red carpet, I don't see them. So me and
- 9:19Speaker 1: you were in a holding pen, were in a little
- 9:20Speaker 1: private room. Cory, Hi, Corey, miss you, how are you, kissy, kissy,
- 9:25Speaker 1: love you, love you. Let's let's go for drinks, blah
- 9:26Speaker 1: blah blah. And then we walk out on the red
- 9:28Speaker 1: carpet and we start taking pictures. But the photographers, the
- 9:31Speaker 1: press haven't seen the little private moments. Suddenly it looks
- 9:35Speaker 1: like that did not happen. But it did happen. When
- 9:38Speaker 1: you walk into a bar, a restaurant, you say hello
- 9:40Speaker 1: when you first see one another. You don't say it
- 9:43Speaker 1: throughout the night, at the top of each hour. And
- 9:46Speaker 1: so celebrities should remember that if they walk out on
- 9:48Speaker 1: a red carpet, it's a reset for the press. It's
- 9:51Speaker 1: the start of the movie, it's.
- 9:52Speaker 2: The start the story.
- 9:54Speaker 1: And so I say, even if we've said hello to
- 9:56Speaker 1: each other, backstage, when we walk out on the carpet,
- 9:59Speaker 1: let's say hell low again, that's going to be covered.
- 10:03Speaker 1: And that's where the book starts. You can't read anything
- 10:07Speaker 1: before that first chapter, and so that's something for celebrities
- 10:10Speaker 1: to really keep an eye on. Okay, moving forward, Taylor
- 10:13Speaker 1: Swift has been spotted in London. Travis has returned to football.
- 10:16Speaker 1: So this is what's going to be so interesting about
- 10:18Speaker 1: this couple. They knew it was going to happen. They
- 10:20Speaker 1: both have massive careers. He's in Kansas City preparing for
- 10:23Speaker 1: his fourteenth season in the NFL. She's in London. We
- 10:27Speaker 1: spotted her leaving a private members club a little late
- 10:30Speaker 1: around midnight. There's no beef here. They're not falling out.
- 10:33Speaker 1: This is just life. My sources tell no, they're figuring
- 10:36Speaker 1: this out now. They have private planes, they have tons
- 10:38Speaker 1: of money, They speak, they talk, they laugh all day long.
- 10:42Speaker 1: But they both have very, very big careers. She's not
- 10:45Speaker 1: going to stop her career for him. He's not going
- 10:47Speaker 1: to stop his career for her, and so we're going
- 10:50Speaker 1: to get used to seeing this. It was a little
- 10:52Speaker 1: shocking at first. Just a few weeks after the wedding,
- 10:54Speaker 1: she's in London and a club by herself or with
- 10:57Speaker 1: her friends, and he's in Kansas City. That's just the
- 11:00Speaker 1: nature of the job. What I am told from my
- 11:03Speaker 1: sources is the two of them know lots of celebrity
- 11:06Speaker 1: relationships have failed because of distance, and they're not going
- 11:10Speaker 1: to do that. They've got a ten day rule. Every
- 11:13Speaker 1: ten days they have to see each other, not a
- 11:15Speaker 1: phone call. So they've got the resources to make it
- 11:18Speaker 1: happen too. But that is now going to be built
- 11:20Speaker 1: in the schedule. It really means she's going to be
- 11:22Speaker 1: flying to him because his job is or he can't
- 11:26Speaker 1: leave there. She can write anywhere, she can't perform anywhere,
- 11:30Speaker 1: although she could do a residency in Kansas City for
- 11:32Speaker 1: the next twenty years and that would sell out. But
- 11:35Speaker 1: if you're a songwriter, you have the great fortune. I'm
- 11:38Speaker 1: married to a songwriter. You can take your rhyming dictionary
- 11:41Speaker 1: and your pad of pen and you can write your
- 11:44Speaker 1: favorite pen you look anywhere, So don't worry about this one.
- 11:47Speaker 1: But it is interesting seeing the first pictures of them
- 11:50Speaker 1: not together. Buddy, think yeah, I know.
- 11:52Speaker 2: And you bring up a great point about celebrities who've
- 11:54Speaker 2: really been torn apart by the fact that they are celebrities.
- 11:57Speaker 2: That's the irony of the relationship. They are this big
- 12:01Speaker 2: celebrity couple and it's going to be that level of
- 12:03Speaker 2: fame that potentially is the obstacle that separates them. So
- 12:06Speaker 2: I'm hoping that's not the case with these two. You know,
- 12:10Speaker 2: I want them to. I want all celebrities to somehow
- 12:13Speaker 2: find that middle road where they can live like normal
- 12:16Speaker 2: people and also maintain their careers.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I just have not seen.
- 12:20Speaker 2: The track record is not very good for that. So
- 12:23Speaker 2: I'm hoping they make the exception through the through the rule.
- 12:27Speaker 2: But you know, we've just we've just seen it go
- 12:30Speaker 2: badly so often, so I hope maybe they'll be the exception.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I think. So I'm optimistic about these two. Okay, moving along,
- 12:38Speaker 1: we finally found out what Margo Robbie earned for Bobbie.
- 12:43Speaker 1: It is massive. Yeah, give us numbers.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it's crazy. So she walked away with a staggering
- 12:49Speaker 2: fifty million dollars for starring on movie. But she also
- 12:53Speaker 2: did produce. She still will say, so that's another credit.
- 12:56Speaker 2: So maybe they can justify it some way that way.
- 12:59Speaker 2: But you know, so if they do a sequel, mind
- 13:02Speaker 2: you now they gave her fifty million the first time around.
- 13:05Speaker 2: You can only imagine she's walking in there like I'm
- 13:07Speaker 2: gonna need more than fifty million to do a part two.
- 13:09Speaker 2: But they are talking about a part two, and Warner
- 13:12Speaker 2: has made more than six offers to her core creative team,
- 13:16Speaker 2: but none of them have been accepted. Now that doesn't
- 13:18Speaker 2: mean it's all monetary, though that also could be things
- 13:21Speaker 2: like control of the film and you know, creative creative direction.
- 13:24Speaker 2: It depends on what those offers. It depends on what
- 13:27Speaker 2: those offers offered. But Robbie and Ryan Gofflin and Greta Gerwig,
- 13:31Speaker 2: you know they're seeking bigger upfront one and more lucrative
- 13:35Speaker 2: back end deals and so and don't forget to Robbie
- 13:37Speaker 2: like got snubbed by the Oscars. It's really weird, I mean,
- 13:41Speaker 2: and then Ryan won and the film is all about
- 13:44Speaker 2: women's liberation and they don't even nominate the woman playing Barbie.
- 13:48Speaker 2: That seemed almost like intentional to me.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Yeah, not a good look, a though she got the
- 13:53Speaker 1: fifty billion dollars.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe that's why we now know they were like, well,
- 13:56Speaker 2: the heck, she's already got her.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Off, Like this is com because I'm told that if
- 14:02Speaker 1: they do not sign a deal in the next six months,
- 14:05Speaker 1: the rights go back to Mantel and Warner Brothers lose
- 14:10Speaker 1: the rights to a billion dollar franch always, and so
- 14:13Speaker 1: they are desperate to make this deal. Marco is a
- 14:17Speaker 1: smart business person. She knows that they're desperate. A day
- 14:21Speaker 1: before the rights expire, they will offer her crazy because
- 14:27Speaker 1: they did make one point four billion, so there is
- 14:29Speaker 1: a lot of money here to be shared. And I think,
- 14:32Speaker 1: you know. I'm from the school of know you're worth.
- 14:35Speaker 1: A lot of us think we know our worth, and
- 14:37Speaker 1: we really don't. There are many many people that can
- 14:39Speaker 1: do what I can do. There are not many people
- 14:41Speaker 1: who can be Barbie, and Margot knows that. I think
- 14:45Speaker 1: they could. Don't hate me everybody. I think they could
- 14:47Speaker 1: replace Ken, but I think she's non negotiable. Like another
- 14:51Speaker 1: cute guy, Ryan Goslin's delicious, but there's ten of them
- 14:54Speaker 1: that could be there. I'd rather Goslin keep the part,
- 14:57Speaker 1: but we could think of some other guys. Yummy Yummy
- 14:59Speaker 1: is who could in that wrong. But I don't know
- 15:01Speaker 1: Barbie without her. She's so smart. She knows the clock
- 15:05Speaker 1: is dick dig twenty four hours before the rights expires
- 15:13Speaker 1: a deal. Okay, we're going to take a quick break
- 15:16Speaker 1: and we will be right back. Welcome back to the
- 15:21Speaker 1: Naughty Bread, Naisha, I'm your host, Warm Shooter Hale. Let's
- 15:24Speaker 1: get to the polls that I should. We told you
- 15:27Speaker 1: about some guests at Taylor Swift and Travis Tellsey's wedding
- 15:32Speaker 1: who had to sign NDAs, a lot of NDAs. Now
- 15:36Speaker 1: Travis is talking about the wedding, so the guests are saying,
- 15:39Speaker 1: do the NDA is still hold? If you're going to
- 15:44Speaker 1: talk about it, is your wedding, So there should be
- 15:46Speaker 1: an exception, I guess for the bride. But it is like,
- 15:50Speaker 1: you know, we were told not to mention this, and
- 15:52Speaker 1: now you two, well at least one of them, are
- 15:55Speaker 1: talking about Yeah, at some point Taylor's going to put
- 15:57Speaker 1: out an album and videos, and what do you think here?
- 16:01Speaker 1: Where do you fall on this? Should this edda be voided?
- 16:07Speaker 1: Should it still hold? What do you think? If they're
- 16:10Speaker 1: talking about it themselves, I'm not allowed to talk about it.
- 16:14Speaker 1: It's straight down the middle, fifty to fifty. If you
- 16:16Speaker 1: sign it, you sign it. Some of you're saying I
- 16:17Speaker 1: get that. Other people are saying, what's the point of
- 16:20Speaker 1: an edda if other people are going to talk, well,
- 16:21Speaker 1: I think that's the whole point here. Taylor and Travis
- 16:24Speaker 1: want to tell this story. Yeah, it's their control. Don't
- 16:29Speaker 1: forget to vote. Un Today's paul a good one today
- 16:33Speaker 1: about pres Hilton's sister doing interviews. Should she just shut up?
- 16:39Speaker 1: What do you think about that? Hey? Go vote on
- 16:41Speaker 1: our Twitter at X page at Naughty Nice rob Our
- 16:45Speaker 1: facebook page is Naughty Gossip. Sure to ja Egg Monday
- 16:51Speaker 1: to hear your results. And I'm my favorite part of
- 16:53Speaker 1: the show. It's time for our n.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yes, this is a nice story about love and Nicole
- 17:02Speaker 2: klibing Yes, well, Nicole Kid, she's embracing love after her
- 17:06Speaker 2: Keith Urban divorce, and she's opening up about life after
- 17:09Speaker 2: being with him and making it clear that she is
- 17:11Speaker 2: not closing her heart. The Oscar winner says she's learning
- 17:14Speaker 2: to accept her new reality after nearly two decades of marriage,
- 17:18Speaker 2: admitting the future feels completely unknown, and she described feeling
- 17:22Speaker 2: very fearful though, and deeply vulnerable because she says, you
- 17:25Speaker 2: know it's she's she's feeling that way, but she's choosing
- 17:28Speaker 2: hope instead of retreating into herself and she's I can
